Nothing fancy but a nice, clean room and hotel, woman checking us in was very nice, let us check in hours early, gave my dog a gift bag. Location is great!Shoutout to ISRAEL! I was purchasing snacks at the market and the front desk was swarmed with guests in person and via phone. He was calm, poised, organized, professional, acknowledged everyone and maintained a great, magnetic energy that I appreciated, especially so late in the evening.Would visit again 🙂
When we arrived my room wasn’t ready so I had to wait 30 minutes after scheduled check in time. However, David was patient helpful and understanding. I really appreciate the professionalism. Staff was accommodating. Room was spacious. Hotel location was in perfect location to restaurants, casino, spa, and bars.My only concern is that they are understaffed. David was patient trying to figure out why it room wasn’t ready, but I believe that the 2 other parties behind us weren’t patient.
Great location and nice to have parking too. Pool was clean and refreshing. Hot tub was such a treat at night. Rooms have a microwave and fridge which was good for breakfast items and snacks. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very lumpy and hard to sleep on. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Room is really out of date. Not enough light in the room. Carpet needs refresh. Large TV is good. May need one more LED next to bed. Two beds but only one desk lamp.Front desk helpful but can improve Cleaning is every three days.Saw management reply that room will be refreshed by end of year or 2025. After it is completed, will be back to provide review
Its like many hotels in Palm Springs, I would related to a Hampton Inn experience in terms of quality of the rooms but you certainly pay a huge premium for being in downtown Palm Springs. The staff were great and every interaction I had was professional and helpful. The parking situation is a little funky. It is a motel style facility so parking is around the outside and theres a small lot to the north.
Resort was nice. Very clean. Staff friendly. Spa experience very disappointing. Missed prebooked and prepaid treatment due to flight cancellation. No refund and if we wanted to reschedule we would have had to pay again. Would not recommend booking or paying in advance. During our stay we observed that the spa was not busy. Lack of customer service in dealing with this issue.
Brilliant hotel. Very peaceful. No notable room noise, free morning coffee was good. Pool was brilliant for adults and never busy. Location was good in Palm Springs.
I went back and forth between giving this hotel a 3 or a 4 star rating, the customer service is why I ended up going with a 3 star.Ill start with the pros of this hotel. The location is prime- so close to the downtown strip, walking distance to food, shopping and even the casino. The property is gated and requires a key to get in, which is nice as there are homeless around. The property landscaping is beautiful, just stunning! As for the cons, the rooms are very dated and dont feel like a resort. My room door didnt shut well, it really needed a shove to get it to latch. The bathrooms are very dark, my bathroom fan was broken and my used towels could never dry out. One of the rooms had a severe ant problem...and the customer service was just okay. It was near impossible to get towels and toilet paper delivered to my room, at one point it took so long my husband had to track someone down in the hallway to get toilet paper. This was after calling to request it and going to the concierge desk...well over an hour. Also we had called to have a fire pit turned on, as we were told upon check in if we wanted them on to just call and no one ever showed.I do think that the next time I visit palm springs I will most likely choose another property.
Rooms were a little small and older, but the place is quiet and well maintained. Proximity to downtown strip is a big plus. Would stay here again next time in town.
Older hotel. Grounds are lovely, but rooms could use an update. Location is exceptional with alot within walking distance. Spa services are great.
Needs some TLC. Rooms need upgrade. Please, please add some queen beds instead of those double beds. The best thing about this property is the prime location.
Looks much nicer on the website. Room was cramped, minimally appointed, bed was noisy and uncomfortable, and room was stuffy with sealed window. No bar, no restaurant, no breakfast. Resort prices for a great location and little more.
I was pleasantly surprised! The website was a little dated but the resort itself was nice. Yes, the rooms need a little upgrade but over, it worked great for us. We were comfortable, really close to the downtown district, we were within walking distance of almost everything. Staff was friendly, pool area was very nice.
Resort was great. Third party spa was a disappointment. We missed our appointment due to canceled flight. We did not receive a refund.
This super fun resort spa, right off Central Palm Springs downtown area, is literally within walking distance to everything. Dining and dancing, museums are all around it. The staff was awesome shout out to Julio! The most polite hotel employee who went of his way to assist us, He even picked grapefruit off the hotel trees for us. The pool is heated, the place is dog friendly. HURRAY! They give a cute doggy gift bag at check in. Its worth every penny.
Might as well sleep on the floor because the beds are are so firm. This hotel is only getting such a low score because of the firmness of the mattress, everything else is pretty acceptable like the cleanliness (although i found a stain on my blanket) and the appliances (theres a microwave which is cool) and a mini market with popcorn and ramen among other snacks. Distance is a minute walk from the main strip. Fix the beds is all Im saying.
My husband booked a trip to Palm Springs to celebrate my birthday. We had such a wonderful time. The resort staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a free shuttle to/from the airport. We drink decaf coffee and there was no problem providing us multiple packets for the room coffee maker. Housekeeping is provided every three days (or on request) so it was kind of a pain having to request new towels every day. The pool is gorgeous with palms, grapefruit trees (alas, none were ripe yet!) fun music and a stunning view of the mountains. There is a hot tub, lots of deck chairs (shaded and not) and the resort feels very secure. We would definitely recommend staying here. The price was great as we stayed in the off-season.
Palm Mountain really surprised us; we thought this was going to be a budget-friendly hotel, but it was so much more than that, A true resort and spa. The resort grounds and facilities were immaculate. The location could not have been better. The staff was friendly and professional. The only thing I was disappointed with was the outdated room and the mild-hot water in the shower, but all the goods made up for it, and who wants to spend all their time in their room anyways. We will be back to Palm springs and Palm Mountain Resort.
The review - We arrived in Palm Springs at 1pm on Friday (11/17) and we booked our stay with Palm Mountain Resort and Spa. They do not allow for early check in (we called and asked), so keep that in mind if you arrive early. When we arrived to the property of Palm Mountain Resort & Spa after 4pm to check in. The check in process was good and the gentleman, David, was nice. They do not have valet or a doorman so it is up to the guest to park and bring in your own luggage - this wasn’t a huge problem. The parking spot for the property is like 1 min away with easy access to and from the lobby. However, if your room is located on the other side of the property then the walk with your belongings from the parking area can be a hassle. We walked to our room and past by the nice pool, hot tub, and fire pit area. Then we opened the door to our room (237) and we were immediately disappointed and unsatisfied! The room was VERY OUTDATED, NASTY, UGLY, DISGUSTING, and NOT KEPT UP! There were dust everywhere even on the floor (old red carpet) and you can see balls of it! We tried to close the white shutter blinds, one side closed all the way and the bottom half of the other side wouldn’t even close! There was marks on the ceiling, the walls, and door! The furniture was dented and had scratches on it! At this point we inspected the bed; from the appearance the sheets looked clean - there weren’t any noticeable stains. We walked in the bathroom and it was a tub shower combo and the stopper in the tub was broken and not even on - it was in the tub but off to the side. At this point we knew we couldn’t stay in this room. Around 5:30pm we went to the lobby and spoke with the young lady who was working that evening/night regarding our dissatisfaction and disappointment of the state of room 237 - she completely agreed with us! We asked to be moved to a better room and we wanted to see the room first before deciding if we were going to move to a different room or cancel our reservation and find somewhere else to stay. She stated that there is a few rooms left but they are all twin beds and they have been renovated and should look much better than the room we were originally assigned. She allowed us to look at room 151. Room 151, the walls, ceiling, and door was better and didn’t have any marks. The room had a smell to it but we sprayed body spray which removed the smell. The carpet was still red and had a dark stain (the size on a mini basketball) in one section - but we place a towel down on it. The furniture didn’t have any scratches. The bathroom was much better and it was a shower with nothing broken. The mattress was placed on a plastic bin (that was covered by the red bed dressing) - so we weren’t really sleeping in a bed. We decided to move to room 151, because the other hotels in the area had no more rooms for that night or weekend. We went back to the young lady who was assisting us and told her that we will change from room 237 to 151. She stated that the cost won’t change and she waived the resort fee and apologized for the state of the room. We checked out Sunday morning (11/19) around 5:30a because we were ready to leave that place. Our closing statements, the hotel employees were nice and friendly. The pool and fire pit area is also nice and clean. With that said, the Palm Mountain Resort & Spa is NOT a resort; it is a larger motel 6 with a spa! We will NEVER stay here again. There are many things the owners need to do to make this place a true resort. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, there are many other better hotels to stay like The Rowan, The Colony Palms Hotel and Bungalow’s, and Margaritaville to list a few. I’m hoping this honest recent review can help others when they are deciding where to stay when visiting Palm Springs. To management of Palm Mountain, if you would like to speak to us regarding our horrible recent stay we are willing to speak.
Came for a weekend getaway with some friends. Location was absolutely perfect, close to all the bars and restaurants we wanted to visit. Staff was mostly polite and helpful, there were a couple people working the front in the evening that were kind of rude, but it didnt ruin our stay.Rooms were clean, not the most updated, but had everything we needed.Pool had music playing and good vibes.Woukd definitely like to come back and stay again.
The rooms were really outdated and the water pressure was terrible. I will be back after they upgrade the rooms.
My wife and daughter spent 3 nights there last week. They said that it was beautiful and very well kept. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Their room had a very private patio. Website represents the place well and is easy to use 😀
The location is great.Close to restaurants bars shopping etc. Our stay at the hotel it self very frustrating! Our room was on the third floor in a building without a working elevator. The room was dark with small beds. The front desk service needs some training in customer service! We had a reservations for 2 nights and we charged many additional fees! We were charged over $20. a person to use the pool area. Parking is limited. The information given to us from the checkin desk was contradictory.Very disappointing and we won’t be returning.
Location was great, rooms were dated but roomy. No complaints there for the price. A select few staff were happy while other front desk staff didnt seem to be customer focused. The elevator broke during our stay which meant no maid service which is set for every 3rd day. So we had no service except for toilet paper and towels brought to the to the room when I called and requested. I also had to be the one to figure out why our room wasnt being serviced. When I tried to politely express my frustration I simply got a bland sorry. No effort from them to male up for the inconvenience. The hotels location is why we stay here.
Quiet place. Lacks a restaurant inside. Needs better items in its market store. Paulina at the front desk was wonderful to work with, another employee we interacted with on a different shift not so much. Pool was closed for maintenance the last day of our trip and it was 117°. Quick to address our needs.
The grounds are beautifully maintained and exterior of the property and lobby are nice. Pool is small but really nice and a good vibe...location is amazing and is in the heart of downtown close walking distance to everything. Rooms have nice balconies, however the rooms are quite dated. I think ripping the old carpet out and putting in vinyl floors and some fresh paint would do so much for the rooms. The carpets are old so they have a musty smell, old wall AC units that kick in and out all night. The balconies are nice and big though and most face the pool. The front desk was not very helpful in describing where the room was and were very brief in the interactions.Overall if you want to spend more time outside of your room than inside of it like we did - pool time, exploring downtown, its a fine choice.Giving 4 stars for location, nice pool and clean grounds.
Location is could not be better. Walk 1/2 a block and you are downtown. Room was very clean. Place could stand to be updated, but overall a great place for the money.
The location and the ambience overall is peaceful and the scenery of the mountains is blissful. The front staff were kind and respectful but I did have an issue with the bathroom door to our room which did not lock. My roommate and I tried the Swedish massage but when we got there the prices were inaccurate from the ones in the QR code at check-in. That’s very frustrating. My masseuse was an Asian lady with glasses but she was a bit rough on my shoulders and lower back when it came to using the stone and her elbows dug deep into my back tissue.
The hotel has a great central location, and a nice large pool deck with spa and nicely kept grounds. The rooms do disappoint, as being tied and scruffy albeit clean and beds comfortable. My room, on ground floor, west wing was very dark even with shutters fully open. If the rooms were updated this place would be great. I didnt have a great deal of interaction with the staff, but when I did they were very helpful and friendly. Being a 2 minute walk from the big Starbucks is a huge plus. Bottom line - if you arent fussy over room decor and want a very centrally located stay with a great pool and cheap rate, this hotel is perfect.
The highlight of this hotel is the location, its really central and walking distance to lots of restaurants/shops etc. The staff were really great, so helpful and friendly! The rooms seem a little dated but are still comfortable and provide everything you need. We had a ground floor courtyard/firepit room which was very spacious. WIFI, mini fridge, A/C and ceiling fans are all provided. Free parking was also available. We didnt use all the facilities for our 2 night stay, but the pool was great and the reception area has a small shop for basic essentials. I would stay here again as the location is perfect.
Palm Mountain Resort is a great place to stay in Palm Springs. The resort is located within a short, five-minute walk away from the main street. Its a smaller hotel so one downtown have to walk long distance to the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Whether one needs an extra blanket or recommendations for dining options, theyre willing to assist. The rooms are spacious, clean with comfortable beds.Parking is aplenty on-site or on the street -- for free which is a rarity in many tourist destinations.I cant wait to return and stay at this newfound gem.
I reserved a room with a deluxe pool view and private balcony and king size bed. What we got was a ground floor room with a view and noise of the pool filter. We can’t even see the pool and the noise of the filter drowns out the music… they did not have the room that we reserved and paid for… they did offer us a room with 2 double beds the next day which meant we would have to wait till after check out time to move therefore wasting half a day… very poor service… The room is very dark. The location is good. Don’t bother booking here. It is not a resort…
Great location, friendly staff, standard clean room. It was really nice being so close to downtown and having everything within walking distance. Usually we stay a little off the main drag, this was a nice change of pace, no need for any long walks or uber rides.
The hotel may seem a bit outdated, but it has its charms. Room was cozy and a fairly large balcony. The staff were all very friendly - from the driver to the front desk team!We arrived after their complimentary airport shuttle service had ended, but they sent a shuttle just for us regardless! One of the best parts of the resort is its easy access to the downtown core of Palm Springs just on foot! There are plenty of bars, shops, restaurants, ice cream and milkshake places within walking distance, and even late into the evening as well!
The rooms were clean but very basic, we had to get more towels delivered to the room as it was only a set for 1person when it was clearly 2 of us who signed the contract. My husband was trying to be romantic and call ahead to see if they would provide something complimentary in our room since it was our anniversary. My bday last year at a resort we stayed gave us a small box of snacks with a card that said happy bday delivered to our room after we just checked in. This place didnt provide nothing like that when. I found out he tried to ask ahead of time the night person said he would leave notes in our file for the am Mgr so the next day he went back to the front desk new shift and talked to a duff person she added notes and would call us in our room in a hr after her coworker came bk from lunch. We sat for 4 hrs waiting for her call and it didnt happen so on day4 when Im checking out on Monday morning to leave and also let the front desk know that I didnt appreciate being ghosted by staff and didnt understand how they were giving poor customer service and she then told me there were no notes on our profile at all when I know my husband called 2 times b4 we arrived and I was with him day 2 night crew front desk put in notes and then he told me he was going to talk to them on day 3 and he did and nothing was resolved or the front desk should hv never added notes I felt it was a unnecessary action on there end. When I left the front desk person told me she would hv the Mgr call me cuz she was in a meeting and its been more than 24 hrs and still no call. The mini laundry room only had 1 washer and no dryers in them it was a total of 4 machines 2 and 2.. our room was on the backend where there was 3 entry points but only 2 worked and it wasnt the closes one our room. Parking was a little much the main parking lot was on the other end of the property there was abt 40 spaces near our room we left to run to the store and came bk we would loose our spot and park all the way on the other side of the resort. So that sucked. we walked around the resort it was clean and tidy and they do have a pool toilet for those who rooms are away from the pool dont have to go far and its clean also. The beds were comfortable so we got slept. The customer service needs to be worked on and everyone who works the front desk on any shift needs to know which is the correct script to tell customers. No lies , not some say yes and others say no abt a Lil extra customer service for ppl who book with u for a special occasion a small bottle of champagne that u already hv on hand with a note would be a nice jester ...
Still have one more day here, so far love the room on first floor with a patio. Very nice rooms, can walk around town. Nice view of mountain. Casinos close by, going to take the tram today. Very comfortable bed. Nice size tv, microwave and fridge. Nice walk in shower with handles for us older folks. Having a very nice time. Staff Very nice and friendly.
My stay was a split experience, I expected a little better but was overall good. Pros: The location is great, walk a couple of minutes and youre surrounded by restaurants and shops. Safe area, perfect for a solo trip. View is nice. Hotel is clean, staff is nice. My stay was quiet and I appreciated the option for luggage storage and ride to the airport. Snack room is nice, prices are good. Cons: My bed was hard as a rock, woke up in pain both nights. Looks like theres a block foundation below the mattress that doesnt help. The building I was in only had stairs (no elevator or lift), which means I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs which was annoying. I felt that online prices during reservation are a bit deceiving as the price only calculates the room price without resort fees or even taxes. Resort fees arent bad $19 a night, but they also charge a room/bed tax per night which is another $20 or so and other little fees. Its a cute hotel, but shopping around might be a good idea considering the final cost, unless you like firm beds and have light luggage.
Just horrid. Nobody came to our car for luggage. We had to take our bags out on our own and drag them to the front & put them on the bell hop cart ourselves. I had to ask someone to assist us because nobody was out front of the hotel. We arrived hours before check in, & we were told to wait for our room and come back later. We were never notified at all for when to come back. Check in time is 4pm, we get back to the hotel at 3:50 there was a LINE around the ENTIRE LOBBY!!! Weve been waiting over 2.5 hours to check in, and now we were told they cannot check us in until 4:30. its a Saturday afternoon and they only have 2 people working front desk. Why are we waiting even LONGER to check in when you told us to come back at this exact time? Very unorganized, sloppy, and barely any attention given to help guests. They couldnt even promise a late checkout time to accommodate us & make it up to us after keeping us waiting PAST check in time. Very disappointed.
We were moved to a bigger room since the one on top floor was noisy, we really enjoyed great working ac, free parking and good location close to everywhere. Bring with yourself water, the fountain wasn’t workingThe pool was clean, but looks smaller than on the pictures.I also loved that the hotel has its own laundry room it’s useful in case you have a longer stay.
The location of this high-end motel can not be beat. It occupies a unique and amazing spot, very close to where all the action is in Palm Springs. Lots and lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, smoothies/ice-cream joints, and of course shopping boutiques. Notice the use of the words high end motel vs. a resort. Yes, you will be charged a resort fee for the complimentary coffee in the lobby, free internet, and bicycles.
Only stayed one night when flight was cancelled. The rooms are small but well decorated. Hotel is in the downtown area near lots of shopping and restaurants.
Door handles kept falling off and kept having to ask an engineer to let us into our room because the key system failed. However, they are extremely pet friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, the lobby store has everything you could possibly need, and the pool and jacuzzi are the best. Met so many interesting and fun people during our stay!
The rooms are a little dated but still worth it for the convenience. You are right in the middle of downtown but off the main strip. The hotel is quiet and the staff is friendly.
This hotel was right in the middle of downtown. Location was perfect and the only Pro I can give it. From the outside it looks cute and the grounds were fairly clean. Staff wasn’t very pleasant. Brief and to the point. Parking was a bit of a pain. One night we had no parking and had to park on the side of the road. The biggie for me though was for the price that we paid (to include resort fees for a non resort hotel), the room was highly disappointing. Our room was a box. From the moment we walked in, it was a nightmare. We really had to laugh about it to not get more annoyed. The door knob fell off the balcony door when we opened it. We didn’t know how to turn on the ceiling fan, so we attempted to pull down on the chain and that broke. There was hair in my bathtub. Dust was everywhere and the fridge barely kept our food cold. The worst part was that the room probably was around 80 degrees the whole time. The AC would not make the room comfortable until late at night. I think we would get relief around midnight and start feeling nice and cold. We called the front desk to ask and maintenance came up and wasn’t super helpful either. The manager did call us the next day in the afternoon to check up but we were leaving the next morning so we didn’t want to deal with changing rooms to possibly have same issues. To pay the price we did to sweat in our room was highly disappointing though. The beds were hard and stiff. They were also double beds not queens. We asked for pillows and was denied the amount asked. The key cards worked off and on for the room and the outside entrances. Overall it was a highly disappointing stay. Hot, uncomfortable and subpar service.
When we arrived at the hotel it was very nice looking from the outside. It had a check-in driveway that made it very convenient to access the front lobby to sign in then side gate to drop off bags to room.Once you enter the front lobby, the area was so well kept and friendly staff immediately was inviting to check me in for my room. The check-in was fast and easy.Once we go to our room, we had the pool view on the second floor. The room was clean and well maintained. Went to the balcony and I could smell amazing scents coming from the pool yard trees, that was my favorite part of staying in this hotel. The bathroom was cleaned and no visible show scum. There were plenty towels for 2 people in the room. The only drawback to staying at this hotel was that no room service for the rooms until checked out. So, if you dont like waking up to messy room, you need to fix your own bed. I was not so crazy about the shower pressure and also the shower curtain. Water would get all over the floor into a puddle weather you liked it or not. Last thing was the AC unit, it was very warm at night and if the unit was turned on. The AC would make loud noise so we could not have it on at nighttime.Couple of positive notes would like to finish on. You do get a high-end iron with hangers. Also, a safe with pin pad code. For more storage there was a 3-drawer cabinet. Each room comes with a mini refrigerator and microwave. The best part was that you are minutes walking distance from bunch of different restaurants, bars, and nighttime activities. All in all, I would deficiently stay at this hotel again, but fact that the shower issue and not having rooms cleaned every day is the reasoning for my rating.
The location was fantastic! The pool was nice with chairs, music and a firepit.Cons:We had anon-working TV for 2 nights, the alarm wasnt plugged in and the door to our room would rarely open easily.Recommendation would be to clean the rooms better, provide more hand towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper.Overall nice location, would probably stay somewhere different next time just to compare hotel experiences.Palm Springs is beautiful!!
Cute place! You can order from this restaurant across the street!! Bring booze and food! Awesome plus! It’s right in the middle of everything!! Walked 2 small blocks and we’re in it! Check out rooftop bar
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, we always check our rooms. Enough towels both for showering and pool area. Room was very spacious and we were able to relax. Close enough to be walking distance from downtown, but far enough from the noise. Great restaurants all around the hotel. The building itself is old, the bathrooms need to be updated. Faucets are rusty and sink had a hairline crack. Too bad the hotel itself doesn’t reflect how great the staff was! Will convides coming back, but will wait for renovations.
My brother and I stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a wedding in Palm Springs. It did the job for a 1 night stay where we were not spending time in our room other than getting ready and sleeping. The price was great and it was especially convenient to restaurants and shops that are right across the street. We really liked this part. The location was the best. The grounds/exterior are really nice and lobby was simple and has a marketplace to get snacks which was a plus. The receptionist were all very nice and friendly. The one thing that could be better here are the rooms. They are outdated and def could use a refresher. Our bathroom was dingy and the door was dirty with handprints from what looked like make up? With COVID-19, this made me feel like the room wasnt well cleaned or sanitized..The bottom of the door was chipping away too. The commercial carpet was sad, beds were kind of lumpy and the bed dressings were lacking. Only 2 pillows and a light comforter with a top sheet. Felt like a motel room and not a resort. I would stay here again under similar circumstances but probably not for a multiple night stay or vacationing.
Room not ready at check-in but was easily given another room, and slight service recovery. The room is quiet. The window AC unit gave great white noise that put me to sleep. The pool was great and the jacuzzi was also great 👍.
Be prepared to bring some very great ear plugs. Pretty disappointed to be roomed right next to construction going on all day long. No way to nap if needed for yourself or if you bring children from 8am - 4pm.A week long vacation of loud construction right by our room. 😓😓 not worth the money paid to be there to be constantly hearing loud banging, music from the construction workers and fire alarms going off to test their systems. Not to mention the air condition is LOUD and needs updated and will only work if set on 60 degrees.
First impression: Looks nice.Closer look: Has seen better days. Sunbeds are not in the best condition, like the pool area.Staff was not always friendly and welcoming. There is no breakfast, not even as paid option. Instead of a recommendation for breakfast there was just a simple „no“, if there is breakfast. And don’t expect too much of the words Resort and Spa.Plus side: the room was clean.
I enjoyed my visit here. Its not perfect, but its darn nice, especially for the price range. If I go back, Ill be more careful about what view I expect. Mine wasnt bad...wasnt a view of a parking lot or dumpster, by any means, but there are nicer directions to face. The location is wonderful. There are countless cool shops and restaurants right across the street, basically. The art museum is practically next door, as is a great hiking trail. Its quite steep, though, so pack hiking boots and trekking poles.
Great Hotel with wonderful Flowers everywhere. The room was tidy and clean. We only stayed one night but we will come back. They even have a fireplace next to the pool.
Use at your own risk. Company booked this, I had no choice. Check in was exhausting as there was only one guy behind the desk. He was dealing with an irate guest as he was getting charged more than what Expedia had told him. Took almost :25 to get checked in. Parking is almost non-existent. Outdoor entries to the rooms. On a ground floor, that didn’t give me the warm and fuzzies. The room itself is rather sad. Outdated, drab and not in good repair. Had a ceiling fan, in the corner. Not over anything, bad design and execution. The only saving grace was that my room was inside the courtyard and not facing the street. Lots of traffic, music and wackos walking around smoking pot.
This hotel located on good spot. The pool is nice. However, the condition was not good. It was too old, air-conditioning is really bad and cant cool down the room, small beds and the air-conditioning make a lot of noise. Furniture needs replacement. The service was also not good, long wait by reception and we still waiting for the swimming pool towers. I think there are realy better hotels in Palm Spring for a cheaper price!
Photo of the rooms are a bit deceiving (looks better in photos) but overall a nice and clean experience. Pool is large and accommodating. Parking is convenient. Facility feels secure and safe. Great location within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. Easy to run out for a bite. Lots of nice greenery and well kept grounds!
Just checked in and wow I am very disappointed and shocked at how worn and dated the room is. Tiny beds, the door latch is so loose anyone could easily get in without effort. The refrigerator is missing all of the shelf bars so you can’t keep drinks there. Then, to top it off, we are finding roaches. I paid up a bit expecting to get something better than a Motel 6 and it is much, much worse. I have stayed in many hotels and none that have ever been this bad, even for less than $100/night. I wish I could post the photos here to truly show how bad it is.* We were moved to another room, which was upstairs, not poolside like we booked. The room smells terrible. The carpet is loose and wavy in areas. One of the lamps has the bulb hanging by wires. Overall both places are identical in wear and uncleanliness, aside from we haven’t spotted any bugs in the new one.I am someone who has never complained about a hotel room before, but this goes far beyond normal things one would find.
Great location! The staff is very friendly and helpful, pool and amenities are nice. The rooms are dated and my room had an odd odor. Overall not bad, i would stay here again.
I will never stay here again. The toilet wasnt clean when we got there. Also, the toilet did not flush unless you held the handle down for 10 seconds. Otherwise it just swirled the water around. The shower did not have a shower curtain, so water went everywhere. The furniture was uncomfortable. The only things that I liked about the room are the fact that it comes with a refrigerator and a microwave.
2 stars instead of 1 only because the pool and grounds area were beautiful. Unfortunately I did not get to enjoy my stay here due to excessive noise. The AC unit in the room was so noisy that I had to turn it off at night, otherwise Id wake up everytime it came on. The mini fridge was also loud but a little more tolerable. However the worst part of my stay was the extremely loud construction noise that started at 8 am every morning. 8 am is VERY early for a resort. It was so loud I couldnt even have a conversation in my room, let alone sleep or take a Zoom meeting. It was a terrible experience and the staff didnt even warn me that there would be construction noise when I checked in. I would steer clear of this hotel until construction is complete, the noise completely ruins any chance of relaxation.
Room are dirty and outdated. I changed my room after the 1st one had black mold around the bathtub. The second room wasn’t much better. It seems they don’t clean the bathrooms. The nightstand is also dirty and caked with dust! Also found a nice dirty/used tissue on the floor next to the bed. This place does not deserve to charge a resort fee. I was fooled by all of the highly rated reviews on Hotels.com. Hoping I can add some pics here!I have to say that the woman working at the front desk is very kind.
This was an excellent hotel. Loved swimming in the pool at night. Was empty and my partner and I had a relaxing swim under the stars. Also like that we had the choice for a pool/mountain side balcony view. Was a perfect way to start the morning, with a cup of coffee looking over the mountains. Also the room coffee is very good quality! Would love to return here again soon.
Celebrated our daughters 21st birthday here after many months of stay-home orders. we were disappointed by the premium patio room we were excited about when reserving. they did move us to another room overlooking the entrance and street which was better than shared patio and looking over the parking lot. the spa was closed, the pool was nice so the resort fee was sorta overkill for only two towels and a single pool. my biggest complaint was the older room with boxy, noisy beds and a toilet that didnt flush. we had to go to the front desk three times to have it fixed (since they do not provide working phones in rooms to call the front desk. Code B!). For the price, I was hoping for a little more luxury. AWESOME location! Central to the main town with no need to use car and parking was free.
My mom found this hotel recommended in Phoenix magazine so we decided to check it out. We stayed here on the front and back ends of a weekend in Orange County. It seems nice when you walk in the lobby but when you check into the rooms they are pretty mediocre. They only give you two pillows in the double bed rooms for each bed. The first night we stayed the air conditioner was rattling all night (Room 207). The second night the shower was broken and we don’t have a bath mat or hand towel (Room 240). When I called down to the front desk to try to have it remedied they didn’t answer. I tried back two more times and let it ring and ring. You’d expect them to answer the phone since it is only 6:30pm. So I had to go down there and wait for someone to come back to the front desk to report the problem. Now we are waiting for maintenance to come and will probably have to move rooms. Do you think I’m justifiably irritated? I mean the basic thing you’d expect from a $116+ fees hotel room is a working shower, right? The only saving grace of this place is Charlie at the front desk (on our first night). We loved him. And the pool and hot tub are pretty nice.
Friendly and welcoming staff. The pool and grounds are impeccably maintained. We stayed here last year in the same room so we can see that improvements were made such as fresh paint, new beds, new carpets, new furniture and new art. Still there are tired areas. The safe didn’t work last year and was still broken this year. The tub fitter has a huge bulge in it. The faucets are old and worn. Overall not a bad place to stay a few nights. Very close to great food and entertainment.
For Mariahs help alone, it was definitely a more positive experience. Every time we saw her at the front desk, she was very kind, accommodating and engaging with us. She was very quick to answer any questions that we had or help us in any way she could. We truly appreciate all she did to help us and our time there, and would return for her great customer service!
So I have to put a negative and a positive in this review cause we had a group of people stay here and while I had a great experience My friends did not.My friend had gotten there before us and reserved the upgrade room. When she got to her room it wasn’t at all the upgrade and it was just the basic room. She asked for a refund for the upgrade and the hotel personnel said they would only refund the $19 resort fee. They then took her to another room which had crumbs all over the place and it wasn’t cleaned at all. Especially with Covid now we are definitely worried about that. After she called and told someone to come look at the room the hotel personnel was very mean and said that they would not accommodate anymore room changes…. That is very rude in my opinion. But this is all hearsay from my friend.Us, on the other hand, had a great time with our stay. We had booked a two bedroom cause I had my sister coming with us. I had called the hotel earlier in the day asking for a roll bed and was told that it was totally do able but when I got to the hotel the receptionist told me that our room was too small and it was against violation. I informed her that I was told that it can be done…. She was very nice to me and gave us an upgrade to a deluxe suite. I was actually expecting the beds to be allot bigger but it was super small… more of a twin size versus two queens.I definitely love the location!! It’s so close in walking distance to everything. We never had to drive anywhere for food. There is allot of different cuisines to pick out. We had a place for every meal! The property was very beautiful! We love the fire pit that they had. We will definitely come back and stay here. I don’t think our friends will unfortunately…
This place is great, nice rooms, nice pool and great quiet location with plenty around to do.The service is great and check in and check out was great. Would stay again!
The location is perfect and rates were reasonable enough. This is my first time at this property and you can tell the routine maintenance has not been kept up with Many little things like a towel hook missing and areas in disrepair. And you can forget about a wifi connection. I had a project to complete and submit while there. Even went to the lobby at 5 in the morning and still not good service. And unlike most customer service in PS, you could tell the front desk staff didnt care if you were there or not. I heard them interact with several guests and those guests were made to feel like an annoyance. Location is ideal, but I will explore other possibilities on my next visit.
#1 Staff is great.#2 Location, location. Location. This hotel is in the heart of the buzz with good food and bars steps away.#3 The Pool with great mountain views is perfectly placed for hours of sunbathing and swimming. There are a couple of social spot for games. Several fire pits.My only major critique is that the rooms could use an overall upgrade. I did not feel like I was in a resort. I did feel that I was in a moderately clean space hotel. Felt safe. Great stay otherwise. If the furniture and amenities had an upgrade, this spot would be divine!
Id honestly give this place zero stars if I could. I’ve been a returning customer of many years , this past weekend 9/3/2023 I stood there and where I lifted up my towels a giant roach fell from the stack look how big this thing was . When I went to tell the front desk all the offered to do was waive the resort fee . I will no be returning
Such a great location. Easy walking distance to do many great places to eat and shop.Great pool area and nice hot jacuzzi. The rooms were clean and spacious and the whole resort had a great vibe.
Stayed here with my wife for an after-backpacking getaway. Very nice. Staff was friendly, room was clean and well-appointed. Pool area is clean and well kept, but there are a lot a kids flying around. If you are a no-kids couple looking for a quiet afternoon by the pool, you may want to look elsewhere. We noticed the kid population was heavier in the late afternoon hours than in the earlier hours. Overall it was a lovely stay, but definitely more geared towards families with kids than adults.
Luckily found parking just in time, went to go take a shower and there was no body wash... Had to use shampoo. Tv had no signal on and off, did enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. Thought the bonfires were nice. Massages were 130 for an hour....Lady at the front was very nice.
Love the central location and our view room facing the mountain with pool and palm trees in front. We have stayed here for about 10 years at least once per year. However, this time it was not as relaxing as usual, perhaps because of Thanksgiving. The loudspeakers at the pool cranked out pulsing, pounding, loud music all day long (until 10PM) which ruined any chance for a quiet glass of wine or reading peacefully on our balcony overlooking the pool. We could not even hear the TV in our own room because of the music. In fairness, when I called the front desk, they admitted it was too loud and turned it down immediately. But I had to call again later in the evening to have it turned down again, perhaps due to a shift change. I would suggest a better balance in the TYPE of music, as well as the VOLUME -- to allow some kind of peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Also, it seems dogs are now allowed at the hotel, so the people below us had couple of dogs which were barking loudly, annoying at times, not constantly, but occasionally. So, all in all, this was not quite the peaceful experience we had gotten used to over the years. We will hope for better next time and will definitely not come on a holiday weekend.
It’s in a decent location to all the areas you would want to be near.Room was rough. Window AC, caveman beds with rock hard pillows and it didn’t help that there was construction being done right outside the window that woke you up extremely early. Got less sleep at a resort than i do at home.
Not a great spa experience for Palm Springs. Tonya did a fantastic prenatal message for my wife and she was very happy. My message was a different story and the worst I have ever experienced. Massage therapist showed up late because of the wind. Very inconsistent and unorganized process. Oil everywhere and no towel management. They texted during the message which is one thing but also had the sound on and woke the wife. Who texts while working and giving a message? Lastly, it was hilarious for me and the wife but they put my shoes on for me while still in the bed with no other clothes on. Anyways Tonya 5/5 ask for her if you go! Other person 0/5 and would honestly like a refund for how bad of an experience it was.
My daughter and I spent spring break at Palm Mountain Resort and Spa. We loved it! We didnt rent a car as the hotel has a free shuttle to and from the airport. Many restaurants and shops are located on Palm Canyon Drive which is within a block of the resort so we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We felt safe while walking. The pool and hot tub were awesome! We were always able to get a lounge chair - no matter what time of the day we went to the pool. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool which we enjoyed. Our room was clean and we had no concerns. Each room has a safe which is nice to have. We will be going back!
We were supposed to have an amazing room with a great view and balcony on the other side of the hotel but the receptionist told us that we would have to be quiet and that on the other side of the hotel we would be more “comfortable” and “private” we get to the other room for the SAME PRICE as the exclusive room with membership benefits, this room does not have private parking has no membership benefits is actually quite small terrible bathroom terrible towels terrible blankets, The patio is in a corner I am hidden behind trees I can’t see anything this wasn’t private this is hidden it’s totally in the corner. I feel as if she is trying to hide us and gave me a worse deal then what I had got online. feeling as if this hotel doesn’t enjoy our company. With all that being said it took forever at checking because she really had to convince us that the other room was better when it really isn’t.
We enjoyed our stay. Looking past the $20 a night amenity fee that gets you all the stuff every other hotel just includes in the regular price, and the extinguished cigarette/cigaweeds around the hot tub, it was a good time. Good location to walk around town. Bring ear plugs! The air conditioning units are extremely loud.
The big selling point here is the location and the pool. Walking distance to almost everything you would want in Palm Springs. The pool is heated and the deck area is great during the day and evening. As with some other reviews, my only complaint is the rooms themselves. They have everything you need, but they are quite dated. The insides of the rooms really dont fit the outside of the hotel. All things considered, it is affordable and centrally located, so not much to complain about.
Pro:Location. Just a couple of blocks away from restaurants and shops but its also far enough away from the action that its quiet.Pool area. Spacious and lots of available seating area.Fire pits. There are multiple fire pits which is great at night.Con:The room is just adequate. Accommodations are a bit dated. When we checked in, I found candy on the floor so I question how well it was cleaned. I also found a cockroach in the bathroom.
Convenient location, nice property but nothing spectacular. Room was clean, but bathroom appliances were fairly dated. WiFi was effectively unusable even though its part of the amenities you pay extra for through the resort fee, extremely disappointing at that price. (To be fair, I didnt complain, but Ive never experienced that to actually fix the problem anyway)
AVOID. SEE PICTURES!!! This is the biggest LIE. It is NOT a resort or spa!!! Its a block from the Palm Springs strip and thats the ONLY amenity you get!!! The pool is gross, the resort is worse then a motel 6!!! Cheap blankets, carpet pulling apart, walls chipped, doors split, hair on blankets and DIRTY. cheap coffee maker from a motel 6, a shared patio is a freaking strip of rooms and doors what a lie! This is NOT a resort omg what a horrible mistake. Look at the pictures!!! Dont stay here. Its loud, dirty, cheap. Go a block over and stay anywhere but here. Resort fee covers NOTHING. They claim ita for bikes and bottled water. There is no resort to enjoy. A dirty hot tub and small pool. None of which we went in.
All the staff were very accommodating and wonderful! Dory at the front desk took good care of us. The shuttle drivers were helpful as well. In the day spa they had great massage and facials! The room was clean, and it was nice to have a mini frige and microwave in the room. The location is also very nice being right in the heart of Palm Springs!
Location cant be beat and price is really good. Beds are very comfortable but pillows need a refresh. Rooms are large and overlook the pool. Bath is small but clean and well stocked. I will definitely consider staying here again.
We love the location of this hotel, downtown Palm Springs within walking distance to our favorite restaurants. Rooms are a good size as are the pool and hot tub. The rooms are showing some wear which is why wed give this a 4.5 rating. Still its highly recommended.
The parking is atrocious. Nice hotel, and this review would’ve scored higher if we were just a family of slugs that never left the hotel, but we go out and do things. A lot of things. So we always get in late. Well, this is definitely not a great hotel in terms of parking space for that style of vacation. I had to park on a dark side street both nights of our stay, which was a little creepy. I know most people are fine with that, so keep in mind it really is a nice hotel. I just hated the parking.
Clean but feels a little dated. Not the most comfy hotel bed Ive been in recently, but it was fine. Quiet room even with being next to the pool. Free parking. No breakfast or coffee option on site, but enough choices nearby. Worst shower head ever, so clogged with mineral deposits, the water came out in about a dozen streams in random directions.
Great location within walking distance to downtown. Beautiful views! However if you are looking for a nice quiet relaxing place this is not it! The rooms are situated around the pool which has loud music playing, partying, andkids screaming. Also people are in and out of their rooms at all hours of the night slamming their doors.
Friendly staff. Rooms are older and somewhat noisy and not all have access to an elevator. Could definitely use a few upgrades. Pool was good and you can byob. Views of the surrounding hills is nice. Location has great access to downtown!
What an awesome place! The staff was very welcoming! The grounds are amazing! I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Palm Springs. It is walking distance to everything. Just park your car, grab some drinks, and relax! The hardest part about this mini trip was leaving! Wish I could take that bed with me...so comfy!!
Great location in the heart of Palm Springs just off of Palm Canyon Dr. Nice property, though the rooms are dated and could use an upgrade. Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. Did not use pool or hotel amenities. The pool did look nice. Best aspect of the hotel is location and proximity to shops and restaurants, which are only a couple of blocks away. Would stay here again for the right price.
LOVED the location. So convenient to downtown shops! The pool was very nice. However, the coffee in the rooms was icky ( small one cup cheap thing ) and you had to pay for coffee in the lobby. The rooms were adequate. If location is your priority, this is good.
I ended paying 625 for 2 nights, this was during a conference so I understand the price, however, the Hotel is Ok at best. The location is a 5 star no doubt about it. Their is a resort fee of $19 a night and the only coffee available is in your room. The feeling you get is more of a Motel than a Hotel. I would stay again, if and only if the surrounding hotels are more expensive and or book. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean.
This hotel provides a bit of nostalgia... Built in the 50s it is a beautiful property with an actual 9 foot deep pool ( you know what I mean if you grew up in the 60s/70s)! It is the former stompimg grounds of many old school Hollywood stars. There are fruit trees located in the courtyard that produce lemons, limes and grapefruit. The rooms are down to earth...nothing fancy but clean and functional. Our room had a patio that looked at the pool and was next to a lovely firepit. There is a spa on the property as well. It is located within easy walking distance of several restaurants as well.
We loves our stay here! The lobby is gorgeous, and the room was nice. Comfy beds, beautiful grounds and patio area outside our room! Nice big bathroom. :) We are planning to stay here again when we return next year. All the staff was very helpful and nice too.
It made me sad. The lobby is clean/new(ish) but the room was so sad, so old. It had the kind of carpet where you think it was at one time burgundy but was now brown. And extremely loud. Since its a single loaded corridor you get both street noise and pool noise. Even the showerhead was loud--small, old, corroded, and it screamed because it was so clogged. It wanted to be put out of its misery. I called to have it replaced or cleaned but no one showed up as promised. Ah, and the parking spaces on the back of the property have a hump you need to drive over--if youre in a car it will bottom out and scrape. After parking twice and scraping the bottom of my Mercedes the parking brake started to malfunction. Oof. Never again. Ah and whats with the hits from 1979 on loop blasting all day all over the property?!?!edit: thanks for the response Patty. I hope you get the kinks worked out, I honestly dont know how you solve the architectural problems without some clever interventions. Also...Ive designed parking lots. You dont need the severe slope on the inward side of the parking spaces, thats just lazy work thats damaging your guests cars. Also the spaces need to be restriped so theyre not intruding into the clearance for the light poles. All in all, as a property manager, you have to do the work to let your guests know that you care prior to and during their stay, and that includes telling construction crews theyve failed (like with your parking) and needs to be remedied.
Dog friendly room was not very nice. We asked for a different room. Front desk upgraded us to a larger dog friendly room. Not much better. Rooms were very dated with brown carpets and brown sofa. Easier to clean I suppose. Staff was pleasant and helped where they could but rooms were not what I expected at a resort and spa.
OK. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows comfortable for a good nights sleep. TV worked, room was clean. The money I paid for the room however, the shower was hard water clogged, wheezing out misaimed water spray and couldnt be adjusted. Also no light in the shower, it was dark in there! The toilet seat missing pieces and had to shut off the toilet as it kept constantly running. The balconey door was so difficult to open I gave up... then, couldnt stream TV or use my computer as the internet kept dropping out and was so painfully slow, not to be useful. I would not recommend this hotel! And it had great reviews. Also in serious need of an upgrade
Nice staff at the front desk, beautiful lobby area, and the room like a cottage, very niceroom, and decor was spot on, classy place. Its too bad all the beauty and servicesomewhat disappear when you try to get into the swimming pool, who would want to?The pool was packed, the pool party had very loud music (in a foreign language) loudguests, the spots were saved with towels over chairs, you dont have a chanceto use the pool here, it spoiled the visit. The pool party went right up to 10:00 p.m. whenthey close.
This resort is downtown which gives it a great location. However, it is an older facility and could use a little bit of updating. It was clean and decent. You can walk to many downtown attractions and places to eat. We had parking outside of the hotel.
Great get away spot, right off the main strip in Palm Springs. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. There are nice views of the mountain and city. The staff was friendly and professional, the hotel is very nice. The pool area is a lovely spot to chill out and swim. It was cozy and clean, everything worked in the room, which is important! I was able to do out on the town and easily walk back to my room no problem. I felt refreshed after my stay and definitely will be going back. There is also parking at this location, easy to get to. Plenty of fun things to do close by.
I wouldnt call this a resort. Its old and outdated. The pool is very small. There are no restaurants on site although there are within walking distance. I will say it was clean and the staff was nice. There is not enough parking for all the guests, so you end up parking on the street. All the lotions, hand and body wash, shampoo and conditioner have the same strong scent. It wasnt very nice. No face wash. I wouldnt stay here again.
Great place to stay. Walking distance from Palm Canyon and all the restaurants and shops. The room was very clean and had a nice sized patio. Instead of individual soaps and shampoos, they had bottles installed at the sink and in the shower. There was a large dresser, a closet with an iron, ironing board and safe. I would definitely stay there again.
The rooms are clean and kind of remind me of a spanish hacienda. The property is nice and secure, however they have zero amenities besides a pool. The pool area is nice, but it’s gated in and surrounded by bushes which gives the whole place an apartment feel. There is not a bar or any type of food service or a restaurant on site. When we asked about this, we were told that the main strip is so close that they don’t need all of those things. It was an okay stay..... Palm Springs is known for having a fun, yet relaxing get away vibe. I’ve stayed at many hotels in this area and this place was boring and very basic to say the least. They’re going to have to liven it up a bit and bring in more amenities before I’ll stay again.
Walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops. Helpful staff, had a minor maintenance problem that was fixed immediately. Room was clean and comfortable. Not luxurious but good value. Good Covid protocols. Pool and hot tub and nice.
Nice, clean rooms that have a view of the pool. Pool is good size and theres plenty of chairs. Atmosphere is laid back. Theres plenty of parking all around the hotel. Great location, next to the main street which is a huge plus.
Location is great. Walking distance to shops and food is just a couple of minutes. Rooms are comfortable and clean. They could use some updating but I cant complain just an observation. Great pillows. Pool and hot tub are nice. Pool is heated! Staff is very nice.
The room was typical just like other hotels. The location was great. Its accessible to some of the tourist spots there. You can walk around it safely. Its right in the downtown of Palm Springs. The staffs were helpful and accommodating especially the housekeepers! The pool is decently big enough to hold many of the guests. My only thing that werent so good during our stay, were the SHOWER, hardly no pressure at all. And the PARKING. If the hotel is full it couldnt accommodate the cars to be in their parking lot, but theres a parking lot just across the streets. You just have to be patient to find them. I love my stay there. I still gave them FIVE STARS, because i can see and tell how the staffs are doing their best to serve their guests and make their stay awesome and enjoyable.
Just got back. Reading through the reviews, I can agree that the outdoor areas leading to the room are somewhat older and maybe a little run down, but its a 60 year old building, which is part of what gives it a classic feel. I wouldnt trade this beautiful property, well-kept, great light lobby area with indoor outdoor space to hang around, as well as a lovely heated pool and hot tub. The whole property is secured with locking gates, lovely paths and landscaping, and citrus trees (mostly grapefruit) that you can pluck from---or just take from the large basket offered in the lobby. I totally disagree that the beds are uncomfortable, as in our room both queen beds were as comfy as they get with four pillows of all sizes on each bed to suit side or back sleepers. The staff was wonderful, and how nice to have a place that kindly locks up your luggage until you come back to take the quick shuttle to the airport. They also picked us up very promptly when we arrived. The location is absolutely ideal--how nice to be able to walk easily to the most popular spots in Palm Springs--a vacation from your car!
Nice resort walking distance to all of the restaurants, bars etc... Once in your room it states $25 fee for pool towels not returned. Also if you exit out of your room from patio entrance the door does not lock behind you. So if you plan of leaving for the day exit from front door. Friendly customer service. Various games to play. Corn hole, jenga etc... Pool is nice but small. You can have alcoholic beverages if they are in can or cup. Pretty much once you arrive at resort you dont need to worry about driving anywhere you are so close to everything. The pool stays open pretty late and opens early. The rooms are nice and include a microwave and small refrigerator. Pretty quiet rooms. I will most likely visit again.
Fabulous location on a quiet street just off the main road. Grounds are beautiful, pool is nice, and the fire pits make a great gathering place at night. The only downside is that the rooms, while very clean, are a bit tired and in need of an update. If you dont care about that, Id recommend this as a good place to stay in Palm Springs!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The location is amazing and the staff would very welcoming. The rooms are cozy and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub are excellent. The temperature of both was just perfect. I would stay here again and again and again. You couldnt find a better hotel in Palm Springs.
The photos do not show the reality of the hotel. Upgrades are extremely necessary - the bedding was torn, the room smelled musty, very dim light, old furniture. The outside looks nice - pool + palm trees, but the inside felt like a huge disappointment.Unfortunately the customer service wasn’t great either. The front desk seemed stressed and wasn’t very kind or helpful. They were actually quite cold which was not a pleasant start to our trip after hours on the road. We also had to wait an hour to check in - and they told us they would notify us but they never did so we came back after killing some time to make sure we weren’t forgotten. We also requested blankets every night because it was chilly and the beds only a sheet on them - possibly due to covid? - but it took quite a while (40 min) to receive our blankets. One night the blanket was actually seemed very sticky, rough, and didn’t feel fresh so we had to ask for another one.The key cards didn’t work to enter the property’s gate so we had to either wait for people to walk by one night and we called security the second night of our stay.We also weren’t the only people who had a disappointing experience. A couple - who opened the door for us when we were locked out - expressed to us that they were not happy with customer service or their accommodations either. We thought our issues might have been a one-off but it seems that others also were unsatisfied. We were really looking forward to our stay at Palm Mountain especially since we paid a decent amount for the holiday weekend and read some great reviews online - but we were completely underwhelmed with what we got. While Palm Springs was a nice getaway, this hotel was a huge pain point throughout the trip. It’s unfortunate that the more time we spent away from the hotel the better our experience was.Two out of five.
If you like a TWO star hotel at a 5 star price this is your place. Not any over the top amenities more like a basic Quality inn feel. Resort fees without resort extras…. But hey, you’re close to everything down town PS.Mostly a Poor rating because of staff attitude not being very welcoming…especially during check out as if they didn’t seem to care if you come back or not. There was no “ how was your stay questions” just a “that’s it BYE”Lesson learned! Check this box for a place never to stay in again when we’re in Palm Springs.
Great stay at the Palm Mountain resort. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the pool and hot tub were icing on the cake. Also the patio area in front my room was beautiful too. Nice firepit area to hang out at😉
I have stayed here twice in the past three years and they impress me with room rates and customer service. Very nice staff from the front desk to the care takers of the property. This year I left my favorite swim trucks on the balcony and checked out. When I realized it, I called and they got me to the right person who verified my stay and the description of the shorts. They mailed them to me in Des Moines and only charged me the postage. (I know some hotels charge a service charge)Thank you Palm Mountain Resort, Ill see you next year!
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights, it was a last minute decision great looking hotel the pool area was wonderful the rooms were very nice and the staff were great the only problem were the beds very hard and when I woke up the next morning my back was killing me so suffice to say not the best trip. When we returned home and I slept in my own bed the next morning my back was fine and has been great since. Great place, but those beds😟
Staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and it’s really close to the Fresh Fish Market which has fresh fish shipped in every morning from Santa Monica seafood. The room was great we had a poolside room which had its own porch and the room was very clean. They even had the air conditioner on as we came in on a very hot weekend in July. The staff was soooo nice they even shipped Hunters beloved giraffe to us that we didn’t see under the sheets when we left. We will definitely stay here again when it’s not as warm. Also good driving distance to local Wet N Wild water park/save $ ask at the hotel, tickets were only 27$/person which is cheaper than online. Happy Vacationing!!!!!
Location, location, location! Palm Mountain Resort & Spa is perfectly located in the heart of where the shopping and action is in Palm Springs. There are numerous clothing stores and eateries within walking distance (if you can stand the heat!), and if you happen to be in town on a Thursday night, the Village Fest (kind of like a huge farmers market with almost 200 vendors) is right outside the hotel. My only complaints: the beds were a little small and uncomfortable, the decor of the rooms was a little dated, parking can be difficult if the hotel is at or close to capacity, and check-in is kind of late (4 PM). On the plus side, the staff is friendly, and the spa was fantastic as well (my wife and I got a couples massage). In my opinion, this hotel is worth it if you get a good deal.
Stayed at the Palm Mountain at the end of December. If I just worked a little harder this past year, I could’ve stayed at the beautiful Rowan across the street 😂Palm Mountain is a true budget hotel that’s really just a place to sleep. 🤷🏻♀️Cons: Nice job on the bait and switch for the bathroom design, kind of annoyed about that. The designers went to the granite yard and picked out the ugliest pink slabs that were on clearance to finish these bathrooms.Lumpy, bumpy pillows and an uncomfortable bed. Eww carpet and dated everything about the room decor. Janky gates to exit hotel property - had to flag down good samaritans twice during my stay to help me open it. No elevators. Suave-quality soaps that irritate your skin. Check-in was annoying and front desk attendant seemed thrilled to be here. Also, I’m getting charged $20/night resort fee and you’re going to charge me for coffee?! GTFO. Also, painfully slow internet that’s supposed to be part of the resort fee as well. Also, looking back at my hotel.com receipt, I was supposed to have a courtyard room, but am definitely facing the street??? Whatever.Pros: I only paid $135/night, not including resort fee. This hotel is located in a perfect location for walking to shops, restaurants, public art, VillageFest, etc…I still had a rental car to get around town, but this was a great home base with free parking. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe walking around here at night. Very quiet property and a cute exterior. The pool area is very nice, updated. You can tell they’ve taken care of the exterior here. Pretty view of the mountain. Basically the only pro is the location and budget rate.
Could use some updating, buy we love this place. Close to downtown for shopping, and food. The staff is always friendly and I feel very safe here.
We had a great time and would return again.WIFI:The wifi was ok but weak, so don’t come here if you need good wifi. I’ve stayed at hotels with much worse wifi.BALCONY:I was worried I wouldn’t get a balcony / patio but I think every room has one (or at least most rooms) and it’s a really good size. It was too hot to walk around outside to inspect all the rooms. Each balcony has a divider but you are still able to walk to other people’s balconies. I love that all the balconies faced the pool / courtyard. It was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately it was way too hot in June to enjoy it (118) so I plan on returning when it’s less hot.ELEVATOR / CHECK IN:Checking in took 1 hour because I was unaware that the room I got was in a building with no elevators. I wish I was told this during check in because I had heavy luggage and I walked around frustrated looking for an elevator. And when I called the front desk to find out if they had one- they put me on hold while I was outside in the 118 heat... this made me really irritated. For some reason this seems to happen a lot when I check in at places, for various reasons each time. The staff was very friendly even when I was losing my patience and was frustrated and Someone helped carry my luggage up the stairs.POOL:The pool was amazing. It’s beautiful, it plays music (mostly 90s hits when I was here) It goes to 9 feet deep which was scary for me. The 3 foot area is very small because the pool gradually goes to 4 feet then 6 ft then 9 ft. What i really liked is seeing the same people at the pool everyday, made it feel like we live here and they are our neighbors. It felt like home. People made friends and played together. The pool also had a lot of floaties but I don’t know if they were from the guests or from the hotel. Either way, I think it is a great idea to have them! It made the pool much more fun.The hot tub was... well, HOT.SLEEP:I am a light sleeper and very rarely can sleep well at a hotel. the air conditioner kept me up all night. It was 118 every day so not having AC was not an option. It sounds like a car engine that keeps turning on and off over and over making a loud jolting sound (on its own) and woke me up over and over. The pillows gave me neck pain. Next time I think I’ll bring my own pillow as well.ROOM:The room was a really good size but not the cleanest and I hope they do a better job cleaning and checking things (mainly the bathroom and the down blanket had a weird stain) and yet despite of this I would probably still return. Rooms have a joining room if you plan on coming with your friends. Our room also provided us with 2 pool towels.PARKING:At first I couldn’t figure out where to park, but they have a huge parking lot right next to the hotels main entrance and more parking behind our building. It was not gated. And right across the street was a huge empty dirt lot where homeless people live. I was concerned about them breaking into my car but thankfully I had no issues. I read other reviews that this happened a lot (or their tires hot slashed)KIDS:A few kids here, including my own so it was kid friendly.ICE:it was 118 when we were here so I knew we needed ice. 2 ice machines were out of order so we had to walk to find one that works. Hopefully they get fixed.PETS:It appears to be pet friendly, some people had their dogs at the pool.We even found an angel wing mural nearby by Colette Miller. I was so excited and I’ve been to Palm Springs 7 times!FOOD:The hotel has a small little market for snacks (chips, cookies, candy, ramen noodles, some refrigerated stuff, some alcohol)Tons of food and shops walking distance. I love the Thai Smile !!! And their cocktails. Also loved Lulu. Best coffee: Gre coffee shop, the upside down vanilla cappuccino!FIRE PITS:There was 1 by the pool and 1 outside the pool but both remained off. Maybe because it was super hot out.We went everywhere maskless and no one harassed us.
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff was professional and courteous and the room was quite satisfactory. The pool area was a fun place to hang out and all the kids had fun. It would be nice if the had a bar on site. It is conveniently located near the main drag and a lot of restaurants and shopping.
Key card to back entrance for parking didnt work the whole week I was there. The toilet handle needed to be fixed. The housekeeping was great! Fresh towels the bed made and left waters daily.
Best spa service and massage I’ve ever received!! I came from out of town, straight from the airport, seeking a massage, a place to store my luggage, and a place to relax for a couple hours before meeting up with a friend. They provided all that and more. Free water, open access to the facilities while I waited for my appointment, an EXCELLENT massage that had me perplexed at how affordable it was, complimentary pool bag with towel, a voucher for free coffee or tea at the cafe, and to top it all off, a glass of complimentary wine. The staff were so nice, frequently checking to see if I needed anything even after my massage was done. Definitely recommend this spot for a day of spa and poolside relaxation.
Unfortunately the beds were awful. My boyfriends back and my back were killing us. The lighting in the lamps in the living room was that blue tone bathroom light. The pool and courtyard area was crowded with unmasked guests. There were parties going on and loud salsa music all night outside the bedroom. The deluxe room was tiny. Its only deluxe because there was a couch. It was dark and old. We will never stay here again.
Pros of this place: close to downtown, pool is decent, service is goodCons: rooms are outdated, showers pressure was terrible even after they fixed it, the complimentary breakfast has you go to a diner downtown, ac units were so loud it was hard to sleep.Overall the price was ok for being in the middle of it all, but I would spend a few more bucks to stay at a better spot in the future.
Nestled near mountain range near downtown. This resort actually really clean and nicely landscaped. A lot of rooms. Almost every room is looking towards the pool. Are room was good size and we had a basic room. Came equipped with a fridge and microwave. Bed and pillows were heaven, felt like I never left my own. Will definitely return.
The soaking pools were fabulous, but the property itself needs a lot of updating. I wasnt very impressed with the spa either. The restaurant was fairly decent; best breadsticks on the planet! No, my review was NOT posted in error! That was my personal experience and at that property!! I see Im not the only one who has given that feedback either.
We have stayed here 2 years in a row now for our annual Mom - Daughter Desert Get away. The location of this hotel is what makes it a standout in the area. Just steps (1 block) away from all the shops and restaurants of Palm Springs. We were able to walk to coffee in the morning, and dinner at night. Parking was easy to find at noon when we arrived on a Wed. We got the parking spot and never had to move the car until we left because the location is so good. Customer Service was great. The first year we arrived early and the room was not ready, but they let us change into our swimsuits and enjoy the pool. They called me as soon as the room was ready. The second year we arrived at the same time, however the room was ready and for $20 extra we got to get into our room and settle in early. The pool area is calm, not too many kids around making noise or splashing. They did have music, but the speakers were not very good and we could barely hear depending on where we were around the pool. I also had to ask them to turn it on one day. The pool was always clean and we never had to fight for chair space. The first year room (203) was perfect for us. Microwave and fridge allowed us to go buy snacks and drinks. We would eat breakfast on our balcony with coffee, and then take a pool break to our room for lunch (usually leftovers) and only dined out for dinner - making the trip even more affordable. The room was older, but it had charm like the slatted windows out to the balcony. The closet was big with mirrored doors so it made getting ready at night easy for 2 girls - no fighting for mirror space. The balcony was small with 2 chairs and a table, but it was perfect for enjoying coffee and breakfast in the morning. There was a grapefruit tree right off the balcony area - wish they were ripe! The bathroom was the area that could really use an update..... but it was sufficient for our needs. This year our room was on the backside 3rd floor room 314. These rooms were slightly bigger, but for the most part the same layout. In the entry there was a funny small ledge but it worked out good for our drinks and snacks and stuff. The biggest downside to this hotel is that it has no restaurant..... nothing! They were in the process of adding a little store of some sort while i was there this time. It really needs a little restaurant with bar where you can get something. Not really bad for us though because we got to enjoy restaurants every night instead. I would definitely stay here again, probably in Oct for the next girls trip!
Suitable 3 stars for a 3-star hotel. Working out of here for the week and I have to tether to my phone because the wifi is worse than rural Guatemala. The other negative is paper thin walls. Aside from that, what others have mentioned: there is no food service, but lots within walking distance of the hotel including museums and hikes. Shout out to the friendly staff here, but ultimately you get what you pay for.
Let’s start with this: IT IS NOT A RESORT. So the “resort charge” for “free phone calls , WiFi”, etc. is absurd. There were no food offerings. When I checked in I wanted a drink... also not available. Although at check out I saw they did have a “market” (like Hampton Inn). Rooms are a remodeled Motel 6 style. Clean but very old under the carpet, smells old. Less than impressed.Update: I’ve returned for a 2nd time. The grounds are really beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Inside is still a motel 6. The pool and hot tub is tiny considering they have hundreds of rooms. I couldn’t get in the hot tub because it was jammed the whole time. I guess it’s fine for the price but still , a “resort fee” , is a complete joke .
The location is perfect its in the heart of Palm Springs walkable to restaurants, bars, cafe and shops. Employees are great they are nice and very helpful. Rooms are just OK, no gym inside the hotel which I find very dissapointing with the resort fee of $20/day. The pool and jacuzzi are so Dirty FOGGY and SALTY. Spent a few minutes on it and my EYES hurt so much. But other than that Great location and nice employees.
Cute little hotel, and great value for the price. Fabulous location just 2 mins walk to the main drag with many bars and restaurants. The rooms arent fancy (more motel style) but they have everything you need and are very clean. The pool area is clean and has a spa where you can bring your own beers/snacks.The hotel loses 1 star because somebody broke open our car gas lid cover and siphoned our fuel in the middle of the night, the hotel listened to us but didnt go out of their way to help review the security camera footage. Unfortunately left a bad taste in the mouth, we thought everything else was great.
I booked my room last minute, so it was almost $300, which is expected when booking the day of. But if I’m paying that much for a room, I do expect to be able to park my car. There was no parking when I arrived, so they asked me to park in the 4 hour parking lot across the street until they could get the bus lot cleared. I called the front desk and left my phone number and asked them to call me when the lot was cleared, as my daughter and I had plans for the day, and I wanted to move my car as soon as possible so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it. They agreed to call me. 3 hours went by, and I called them again, and they told me that the lot had been cleared. I told the lady that they said they would call me, and she replied rudely that shifts change often. I received no apology. Our plans for the day had to be moved around because of this, and it really put a damper on the first part of our getaway. I even sent an email before writing this review and waited a week with no response, and still not even an apology. The room was nice, but I will not consider them for our next vacation.
I wanted to not like this place but in the end decided it wasnt bad. Rooms are a bit small...two full beds rather than Queens but the rooms were clean. The pool area looked beautiful. Unfortunately I didnt get a chance to use it. They had a great fire table with seating for the cool evenings. In the end, the only negative was the parking situation. I had to park across the street in the city lot one night.
Place was well kept. Grounds were nicely groomed, and the room that we stayed at was welcoming and clean (newer rooms?). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from the housekeepers to the management. Like I said above, an overall welcoming feel to the place. The room was super close to everything you might need to enjoy yourself. Coffee and beer, to breakfast lobster dinners. All is near, and local within walkingdistance. Just make sure to keep in mind the heat. Especially the very old and the very young. All are welcome on the pool seating was plentiful and comfortable. Towels were also provided for the pool specifically. Its my second year in a row returning to Palm Mountain Resort, and I can honestly say, im eager to return for next years visit.
Rooms varied a lot in quality. We started in room 130 which was not in good shape and smelled. And moved to 150 which was much better overall. The staff were great in accommodating us. The pool is nice and facilities are well kept overall. The breakfastis a bit of a scam as it is just toast and juice at Rubys or 3 dollars off Rubys breakfast menu. Not much of breakfast deal. Overall great location and a good place to stay if you get the right room.
Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool was nice but crowded the entire time. The hotel is centrally located in down town Palm Springs. Just one block off of the Main Street. Restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. Im giving it a 4 star because the room has a strange odor.
Not what I expected for a Four Star Hotel, no Spa personnel. Beds were lumpy, and was hurting my back and my friends, bathroom fixtures in shower loose, also some mold along the shower. Otherwise clean and grounds were well kept. Close to all the attractions. Personnel was attentive. Will not stay there again.
I was very comfortable at this place. Its clean and crews are prompt in fulfilling guest requests. Because of their fluffy and full pillows my sleep were excellent. I noticed that not many hotels dont care to make sure pillows are important in a guests sleep nowadays.
We absolutely love this place. Its been awhile since we have stayed here and it looks like there had been some upgrades which is nice. Perfect location, clean rooms, friendly staff, make this property worth visiting time and time again.
The grounds were very nice, but the guest rooms were truly disgusting. More like a low-end motel, homes in the blankets, doors didn’t close without being banged, and just generally really unpleasant. Certainly not a resort style accommodation. I’ll never be returning.
Rooms and furnishings are dated but adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location moves the resort from three stars to four, easy walking distance to downtown Palm Springs shops, dining and attractions.
I have been booking palm resort for the past 3 years. for mine and my husbands anniversary and we absolutely love it! its walking to distance to everything! not to mention walking distance to great restaurants, bars and to our morning walk to Starbucks for coffee. clean rooms and friendly staff!!
The resort is in a perfect location downtown close to all the shops and restaurants. The rooms are kind of old but modernize with a refrigerator and microwave. The beds are comfortable. The pool area is very nice with plenty of lounge chairs. Now the doors are very hard to open to you room took us several times to get the door open which can be very frustrating. The internet is non existent. Tried several times to log on with no luck. Had to use our hotspot off the phone to connect to our laptop.
Pool and jacuzzi are really nice here, the room is a bit dated, but thats the only complaint. The hotel staff here were very accommodating allowing us a 1pm late check-out. Location is perfect for a downtown Palm Springs vacation. Wed probably stay here again, but would look for a better deal on Priceline or Trivago. We booked through points and paid a little too much (we think). Resort fees are $20/day.
I booked this despite the bad reviews because everything else was sold out during the IW tennis tourney in March 2015. We had low expectations, but were very pleasantly surprised. They are under construction, so the check-in was in a temporary structure and no lobby, but otherwise the place was updated, comfortably laid out, and well maintained. Room was updated with new beds, very comfortable. New granite shower and sink had been installed in the older bathroom. Nice patio with chairs within a 30 foot walk to the pool. Pool was perfectly maintained, as was the hot tub. Fresh towels placed on every lounge chair in the AM by the pool. And working fireplaces with adirondack chairs where people gathered in the central area at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was prepaid and there were no extra charges. Location is great if you want to be near the main walking area of Palm Springs. Maybe the parking was a bit inconvenient, as the lot outside the room was full, so we had to park across the street.Maybe they improved fast before I got there, but I saw nothing to justify the awful reviews. If I needed a nice convenient place, Id stay there again.
Spent a lovely three days at Palm Mountain Resort when I was in town for a conference. Would have loved to extend my stay to enjoy time at the hotel and take advantage of the resort and spa facilities.Hotel is a 15 minute walk from the convention center and the hotel also made the shuttle van available for us. Complimentary van service is also available to and from airport during certain hours. Confirm availability when making reservations. Airport is less than 15 minutes away.Rooms are comfortable. My only complaint was the mattress which was super firm. I was in a two bed room on the third floor facing the mountains. All rooms have some type of balcony or patio space with chairs available. Wall safe mounted at comfortable height in closet. Breakfast bar with coffee machine, microwave and mini fridge. Small table also provided in room.Bathroom clean with plentiful hot water. Loved the scent of the provided soaps, lotions and gels.Outside amenities, pool, hot tub and fire pit, comfortable and spacious. Pool was spotless. Hotel lobby had small seating areas with board games should you happen to have time to enjoy. All the staff I interacted with were friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
Location, location, location! Great proximity to sites and main street with shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean, but worn, and theres not much sound proofing, so your peace and quiet will depend on other guests. Lots of parking too, which is another benefit.
This time it was ok, my friends and I always stay here. I have had my reservation since June 2020 and I paid over $400 for 2 nights, a very expensive trip. I say that because there are really no amenities, no drinks or food at pool etc. You can bring food and drinks to pool but then your going back and forth. Also the Jacuzzi was not open, I get it, but would be nice to go in it at night. The pool got a little crowded at times being that we have to social distance but thats the chance we take. The room is ok, new carpet a plus but could use a remodel. Next time we want to stay in the big suite over looking the pool, I feel that I have spent enough money to stay in a ok room that I can stay in a suite! The staff is great! Thank you
This hotel located on wonderful spot. However, the condition was not good. It was too old, no restaurant, and pool was too small. Furniture needs replacement. Resort fee ($19) is not acceptable.
Cant be the location. Right in the middle of downtown. The check in team was ok, perhaps someone called in sick that day but there was a long wait to get checked in and they werent super friendly, ehh?!? They were definately short staffed perhaps due to COVID. I wouldve given this spot a 5 stars but the doors and handles in the rooms need to be replaced or cleaned really really good. The bathroom 🚻 was clean but the door was yucky, it was wood and they either need a good scrub down or just replace them all together. We stayed in room 207 over looked pool and they had nice music was piped in which was nice. The gates on the property were difficult to get in and out of. These items were not deal breakers but we did bring our Lysol wipes and spray (Always do) but worth noting to management. Seems like such an easy fix 🤷♀️
It was okay. Not sure I would call it a resort. One pool, one hot tub. Not much else to justify the extra resort fee. Coffee available to buy in the lobby. No bar. No restaurant. Room was fine but there was hair and dirt behind the loo. Shower squealed like a stuck pig and there fridge compressor was very loud in the night. We stayed at the quality inn down the road for $70 less and they had waffles.
Nice place!!! Great rooms, great service and a fantastic shower! Our room had a mini fridge and microwave even though we didnt ask for one so I would assume all the rooms do. We also had a nice little patio outside with a seating area right outside our room and the courtyard was lovely with a large heated pool and hot tub and several fire pits to sit down by. The location is nice too with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. My only complaint was that there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby. Coffee is provided in the market place in the lobby for $2 a cup (small cup) which you can have charged to your room or you can walk one block to Starbucks and get a larger cup of the same coffee for the same price.
If youre looking for location as the most important factor its right downtown and we walked there everyday. but a good 15min drive from major stores or chain restaurant. The room was far from anything nice. Cracked walls, small dark room, barely any privacy, super thin walls, outdated EVERYTHING, lime buildup in the shower, shower curtain was all torn up like a cat got to it, nothing seemed to be super clean. It was more of a motel than a hotel. There is a heated pool and hot tub at the resort which was nice but the room was FAR from worth it. I would have given it 1 star if it was just a little farther from downtown. So Ill give it that...you can tell all of their money was put into the everything BESIDES the rooms.room service was super loud and since the walls are thin they woke me up just by talking or cleaning the next room...spunded like they are right next to my bed. All in all I would never recommend this to anyone
From the moment we arrived, the hotel was a disappointment. We arrived at 2pm, but our room wasnt ready even though we notified them we were arriving early. They were supposed to call us when the room was ready, but they never did. Finally, at 5pm we were able to check in. The room was adequate, but needed remodeling. The swimming pool was filled with people and unusable. Parking was a problem, after coming back from dinner, the lot was full. No food was available on premise. Not even toast or cereal. The staff was snobish and indifferent. Worst hotel experience I have ever had in Palm Springs. The only redeeming feature was the location, very central. For $200 a night, off season, it ruined my entire vacation.
Just one block west of Palm Canyon Drive the location is easily within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The grounds are well cared for and our room appeared to have been recently remodeled. Each staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We didnt use the spa in property but our room was supplied with lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel from the spa. There is a small market off the lobby for snacks, coffee, tea, cocoa and soft drinks. Our room did have a small coffee maker with supplies aswellas two complementary water bottles. There is plenty of seating around the pool and fire pit.
This is our second year here and we are again very happy with our stay. We had a pool view room last time and that was bigger and nicer but we were still happy with the room. We love the location, the mountain view and the salt water pool. We are a family and our teen kids love it as well.
Really nice, centrally located in downtown PS. Everything is pretty much walking distance from the hotel. Restaurants/bars etc. Cant beat the location. Property seems to have been upgraded a bit in the last year or so. New outdoor fire pit and lounge area at the pool. Really nice! Also, a new outdooor lounge area up front adjacent to the main entrance. Also really nice! Our ground floor room was just steps from their heated pool. Room was super clean. Large king bed with super soft linen. Its been almost 2 years since weve stayed here and all these new suttle upgrades has really helped the property! Also, pool area very large with lots of area to get your suntan on!! LOL Great spa/jacuzzi too! Think this is our new go to spot in PS!!
Great resort, in the heart of downtown. I love that it is so close to everything and youre right next to Starbucks. I didnt give it 5 stars because it felt more like a regular hotel than a resort and spa Their shower makes a noise while you shower, its not a big deal, but it should be fixed. It wasnt just my room because I could hear the neighbors shower doing the same thing. On that note, that was the only thing I heard from the neighbors, you cant hear them talk or anything like that.
Our First time staying at Palm Mountain Resort & Spa my husband and I have our kids for Fathers Day weekend for Sunday-Tuesday. found deal on Groupon and loved it. we will Definitely coming back. i had a little complaint about the room and right away they changed me to a better room not only that they waive my resort fees, the kids used it the pool all the times. very nice stayed. And its so closed to everything.
Even though we called 10 days before the cancellation policy date, and the front desk woman said she had changed our stay from 10 days to 6 and everything was taken care of.. she lied. They refused to cancel the other dates when we checked in, stating that they told us we had to change the dates thru the third party we booked through. I know for a FACT that they told me 10 days before the cancellation policy date that it was GOOD TO GO, no worries, etc... but later on they lied about that and refused to refund the additional 4 days we didnt use.Awful management!!!
Great location, easy to to get to downtown and restaurants, great staff. A little old but rooms were comfy and spacious. Pricing was good but probably due to construction. Pool areas small. I would recommend, but wait till the construction is over.
The location was ok. There was a lot of construction taking place directly across the street and at the adjacent corner. The grounds of the hotel were decent, and clean but out of date. The rooms were small, the bathrooms were dated. The soap, lotion and shampoo dispencers were kind of an odd feature. Good luck getting a smile from any of the staff, or any assistance for that matter. Asking fir extra towels was like asking for a bar of gold. Calling the front desk for information seemed to be an inconvenience to the concierge. Parking is difficult and nothing is conveniently close to your room. Over all, you get what you pay for and the 4 star resort service that comes with it.
Staff was very nice, the hotel in general was calm and relaxing. I feel if they are going to allow dogs they should enforce owners to clean up after thier dogs or take that responsibility. The little store was great, more fruits would be excellent.
Beautiful rooms. Hotel is in a great location and the pool was a great time for kids and parents to relax. The balconies are huge too. Love the vibe and landscaping... & the paths etc.The only thing that was an issue was the wifi is terrible.....it is a BIG issue for me because the only means of communication and way to organize my travel for the next day because Im not from the usa and dont have access to a data network.
This probably had to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed. AC was so loud it was hard to sleep. Mattress was hard. I had to push our hotel room just to open it. Towels were very dirty. Only positive is the location to downtown Palm springs. Otherwise look elsewhere.
Customer service was excellent. The 3 rooms we reserved were very clean and the air conditioning was very cold. Could use a bit more lighting by the pool at night. We had a great time there.
I was just here to pick something up for a friend, but I have to tell you.... the place from what I saw was very clean, the staff was nice, and the best part? They have a dog named Max!!! Hes the best and I love him. ❤️
Paid $250 for a night and got a room in one of the main blocks. The room was dirty, old, and really sad. Just a bed in a large warehouse style room. So dissapointed. Tried to find some other place to stay, but difficult during Coachella weekend. After complaining we got moved to a more quiet part of the hotel in the backyard. Was much better, but not really a spa resort.
Not enough towel racks. Room is dated. The lack of anything resembling internet made trip planning on the fly sort of an impossibility. The only saving grace is the abundance of parking, the great jacuzzi and pool area, and proximity to the main street in town. Palm Mountain Resort leaves much to be desired.
Convenient near old downtown Palm Springs, but the place is in need of a renovation. The doors joining two adjacent rooms are thin or not well sealed so you can hear conversations in the next room. WiFi connections are spotty at best.* UPDATE Dec. 2019 - For 3 years the staff has said they will improve the terrible WiFi in this hotel - its still bad. One day I couldnt even respond to emails. *
Great staff, great pool, great meeting room, great hotel lobby. The rooms leave quite a bit to be desired. Except for an hour and a half of sun in the evening my room was completely dark all day. Very little lighting. Very dismal to be in.
This place is great!!! Super friendly and helpful staff. Beds were plush and amazing! The soaps, shower gel, shampoo, smell herbally delicious and feel amazing! Perfectly situated just beyond the strip. Will definitely be back. 4/5 only because it could use a bit if an upgrade in the building where my room was. ... other than that it was great!
Disappointed to say the least, we had to move rooms because our toilet over flooded. Then the lock on the door wouldnt lock, so we had to wait for about an hour for it to be fixed. Causing us to miss our dinner reservation. Both rooms had that OLD smell about them. The maintenance staff were very helpful and I felt sorry for them, because clearly the Hotel management dont put any money into maintaing or upgrading rooms.Parking isnt great, you have to park your car around in the back lane behind the hotel. The WIFI at this hotel is the worst WIFI connection I have every encountered period. I wouldnt recommend this Hotel to anyone. This place might have been a Resort & Spa when Sinatra was alive, but not anymore.
Rented 2 rooms. Friend had so many maintenance problems had to be moved to new room.My room had broken glass on floor, pubic hair in corner of bathroom, very worn appearance. Black cobweb type stuff on ceiling above fan my bed. Had to use heater as weather wasnt warm but when heater was going a stale cigarette smell came with the heat so it was a balancing act to try to stay warm and trying to breathe. No fan in bathroom. Fixtures very worn, and on my last day shower handle broke off in my hand so I never got a shower! Also no breakfast and everything to purchase very expensive.I rented here based on star ratings but should have read reviews 1st as i would probably not rented here if i had. This was my 1st time in Palm Springs so I didnt know. Not a frequent traveler so Im learning. On the plus side, management was very good about refunding some of our room rate.Even so I wont be back. It was too much stressful travelling to have problems with the rooms.
Its a 6.3 hotel if youre experienced. Adequate is the word. Location is 10/10.But;- no late checkout (COVID excuse)- resort fees (lol)- pool towels are tiny in room not at pool- sagging banner at pool (no love or effort)- bad wifi like not good- rooms adequate but dated (thin walls)- some lights in room didnt work- front desk service just is. Like a 6. Adequate. Yuck. Zero welcoming-ness about the staff. Seems like its their job, not passion. This place is lacking love. Its a resort that just doesnt seem to care much. It rides on its location. Its nothing special what so ever. If youre looking for the SPA refresh stay in Palm Springs look elsewear. This is not bad though either. Even the pool music had a radio advertisment come on, like what?! Some vanilla music channel, no pool vibe at all. Family place. Maybe the manager needs to get reinspired. Also yay I get to enjoy the pool a bit extra and drive home to LA covered in sweat 💦 because they cant extend check-in an hr. Lame. Give back the resort fee then. COVID has become a major excuse for limiting effort I find. Lazy. Cleaners didnt get to my room to after 12 anyway. This morning I asked for milk for cereal in lobby cantina receptionist didnt even look me in the eyes and to me to hold on while who knows what she was doing instead. Felt like I was burdening her to stand up, I just told her to forget it and left. No one else was there. Ya, put some love here and fix service and it could get to a 7.x place. Maybe even high 7s. Put some money in to the dated patios and rooms, even an 8.x.Wouldnt stay again at the moment. Its a 6.2 and a 6.5 due to location. So lets call it a 6.3.And to be fair, if youre not fussy or particular or expecting much, or ever stay nicer palces, maybe you can make an argument its a low 6.9 or 7, just not to me, it is. So calibrate your expectations accordingly.
Great location a few minutes from main drag with lots of restaurants and shops. Also a block or so from Art Museum if Palm Springs. Good pool area and lots of families as well as couples. Parking/resort fee of $20/night. Never moved the car. Lulu’s a great restaurant 4-5 minute walk, Tropicale 10 minute walk with great food and vibe for dinner. Lots of people out and about as we walked back after 9, no worries.
Good location, rooms are clean but dated. Needs an overhaul to justify the price. Bathroom faucet barely works, shower head is clogged and should be replaced, etc. many small defects show a lack of care by the management.
Received a facial at this spa and it was so-so. My friends had issues with their massages because they requested women masseuse (and confirmed at least 3 times prior that they would have a woman) and when they showed up there was a man masseuse. The masseuse was on the phone with their management fighting in front of us about it which was so unprofessional.
Terrible, terrible experience overall. During festival weekends they treat guests like theyre nothing but massive inconveniences who are lucky to have a place to stay, despite more than tripling the rates. Our door lock was broken for two days and we spent 45 minutes at 1am waiting to get in our room while the incompetent staff acted like it was simply us not knowing how to use key cards (the entire door handle had to be replaced twice). They blast tacky, elevator music at the pool and refuse to turn it off. They refunded the resort fee and gave us a late checkout to make up for it but we wont stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay. Fantastic location, walking distance to everything. The hotel has a chill, low-key vibe which is what I wanted. There is no bar or pool bar so its not a noisy party place. Helpful staff, comfy rooms and nice amenities. I only remove one star for the spa. I got a prenatal massage and there is no way the massage therapist was highly trained or certified in prenatal massage like the description says. They claim they use special pillows to make you comfortable but they are regular pillows. Ive had a true prenatal setup before and this wasnt it. My therapist didnt really know what she was doing. Ive gotten many prenatal massages before and this was the worst. It was basically someone just putting lotion on me. She didnt know how to properly drape and my whole butt was hanging out at times, so awkward. I said I had sciatica pain and she did nothing to address it. She had me sit up at the end which was really weird. Overall, didnt match the description of the service one bit. Dont offer it if you cant fulfill. Very disappointed.
I wanted to love staying here but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. 9/10 times the key card would not work to open the gates at the property and I was told “well sometimes when it’s closed too hard you have to swing the handle upwards” maybe that would have been useful information to be told at check-in. Also, when our key wasn’t working, my husband and I waived over employees to please open it and I showed them my room key. They proceeded to speak in Spanish, not knowing my husband is a fluent Spanish speaker, and they were talking amongst themselves saying how we are going to break in and try and steal from people’s rooms. My husband is dark-skinned so this was extremely offensive. I was going to complain to the front office but my husband advised me not so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation, but I absolutely had to write a review. The cherry on top was when I found a three inch roach in the shower during my last morning. If I wanted roaches in my room, I could have paid a quarter of the price to stay at a motel. Won’t be returning
Friendly staff on the front door, and a nice pool. The rooms are large, airey and well cleaned. But theres no bar only a small snack store.Well located for the centre of Palm Springs and good amount of parking
Wasnt impressed. The rooms are dated & dark. The parking is terrible & we had to park a block away on the street. There are no pool towels. You get two in your room & are told they were inventoried when you leave. Why is this called a Resort? Other than being a pool & hot tub there were no amenities not even drinks. I did not try spa services.
Rm 612 is a Jr suite king bed with.a sofa bed. Clean room but has a slight musky odor from ac unit. Bathroom mirror frame needs refinishing and shower curtain rod looks lkke it may fall. Ice machine on this Bldg was broken 4-15-22 weekend. Parking wasnt an issue. Property was clean. Free bike use. Very close waliking to central Blvd.
Not that impressive. Rooms on par with an older Motel 6. Guy at the front desk argumentative. be careful about on-site parking its limited and youre forced to park your $62, 000 new car across the street in an open parking lot with everybody wandering around downtown. Ill be surprised if its still there in the morning, thank goodness I have good insurance. Will look for an alternative place to stay for my future visits to Palm Springs. Disappointed and frustrated best describes my experience.
We stayed at Palm Mountain Resort for 3 nights recently. The strongest feature of the hotel is its location. All of downtown is within walking distance giving access to numerous restaurants, bars and shopping. The rooms are outdated with limited amenities. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. In our room, the fridge was dead when we arrived. It was promptly replaced. The coffeemaker worked once and then died. It too was replaced. The property was generally tidy and the room was clean. But the furnishings have definitely seen better days. The in-room air conditioner was clanky and noisy, though functional.Due to COVID19, the bar and dining were suspended at the time of our stay.
It looked kind of old but it was clean and the location is great for walking in downtown Palm Springs. Our flight was cancelled so this is where the airline sent us for the night. They do not serve any food (so no free breakfast) and their shuttle does not run for early AM flights so be prepared to pay for a taxi or uber to the airport if you fly out really early. Staff was friendly and helpful.
