If I could give it 3.5 I would so I gave it a 3 and not a 4. In my opinion they should have a to-go menu of items that only carry over well. The menu talks about protecting the integrity of the chefs menu however some of the items to-go aren’t good because the steam from the to-go boxes makes them soggy like the calamari. I got the shrimp stack- shrimp was good everything else was … meh because it was soggy. My son ordered a medium burger and it was very well done. My husband got the tuna nachos and enjoyed them and my daughter got sushi and enjoyed them. My mother in law liked her fish tacos okay. White chocolate bread pudding was more of a praline bread pudding. If you don’t like spice cake skip that dessert. When we return next year we will skip trying this place out again.
Nice spot for a Sunday afternoon when the weather is beautiful! Enjoyed the patio. The crab Rangoons were good, but not out of this world. The Diablo tuna was fine but wouldn’t get again. Our drinks didn’t come out til after our appetizer (wine + cocktail), so that timing could be slightly improved. Overall, great menu variety.
My husband and I were in town on our 10 year wedding anniversary trip. Wait time was less than 5 minutes. Wilson was our server and he was fantastic! The food was amazing! We had the fried calamari, po boy sandwich, and the dragon roll. All were perfect! We will be coming back later this week! Definitely recommend!
We spent our 3 year anniversary here and it was absolutely amazing! The cleanliness, the food, the service, the atmosphere was perfect ! Serviced by a sweetheart named Victoria (shoutout to ya girl) you were amazing and we were so grateful to have gotten you as our server 🫶🏼 update : the last two pics were our recent experience they are still amazing 9 months later 🤍🤍🤍
Just tried for the first time today and was floored by the completely elevated experience. We had the best sushi we have ever had (and they even had gluten free soy sauce and gluten free options marked on menu), great view of the gulf, and Leslie provided us with some of the best service we have received anywhere since moving here over a year ago. We live in Foley but this is our new favorite- can’t see us ordering sushi anywhere else now.
It was very very nice... unfortunately the power went out before we got all our food... they were very nice, but even though it wasnt their fault I did think a little bit of a discount should have be applied... we sat in a room for 30+ minutes waiting on a check in a room that just kept getting hotter and hotter... our waitress was very polite.
FOODSushi was pretty good there, I must say. else tasted like a mistake. Long wait for a big letdown. The calamari may have been rubber bands or small toy bike tires. The shrimp and oysters were fried correctly, but they forget the seasoning.SERVICEThe service was sub-par, but to their defense, it was summer, and it was a teen being trained.ATMOSPHEREThe atmosphere wins the day here, they have a nice place, very well set up, and really relaxing. Indoor/outdoor dining with a terrific view.I wont go again, too pricey for bad food ($100+) two people, but if they fix that, they have may have a tourist winner.
We love the Jellyfish restaurant. Our server Amanda was very attentive. Ask for her if you want optimal service. I had the grouper Reuben, which was delicious. It came with seasoned fries which were hot and crispy. Their sushi is great, get the Perdido Roll.
Went in today for lunch and sat on the small balcony outside. The tables are fairly close together. Half way through our meal, a guy is put at the table next to us. He has a bottle of beer, no food and proceeds to light a cigar that size of a corn cob. The smoke was so bad that we asked to be moved someplace else and so did all of the tables around us. Next time well go someplace we can enjoy our food. Which was good.
Me and my family arrived in Pensacola Sunday evening and this was our first place to eat. Food and service was great. It was so good we actually ate here twice a day until our last visit on Tuesday. This last time when we ordered carry out our food was incorrect, we had hair in one of our orders, and the hamburger was bloody, and salmon undercooked. We called the store and they asked us to bring the food back. The bartender was excellent and very apologetic. We reorder the same food and while we waited we did not get a visit from a manager nor was asked to get the food refunded. A person from the back came to the bar, looked at us then returned back into the kitchen. We assumed he was either the cook or a manager but again we didnt see a manager. We hate to assume because we were black this may of happened but its pretty pathetic to have people bring back food, have the food remade, and not a manager come to us nor anyone state the food should be comped. Otherwise our experience here in Pensacola has been above and beyond with so many friendly people and staff but we will not be eating at this establishment going forward
Amanda took such good care of our big party. We were seated very quickly. There was so much variety on the menu it was hard to narrow it down. We all got something different and everything was delicious. We had a great time celebrating my moms 50th birthday. There is an elevator for accessibility. So many great options for food and some fun drinks with great nods to Perdido Key.
Lunch was good. The dinner was outstanding! Smoked meatloaf, bourbon salmon, all the salads are sensational. Blueberry cheesecake was tremendous! The water tho, wish they offered root beer. The staff at both lunch and dinner services were attentive and friendly. Easily my favorite place on Perdido Key.
I’ve seen some ridiculously low reviews of this place, but its high quality. You get what you pay for. My oldest daughter and I had sushi, and it was so fresh you’d think it was just caught. One of my daughters had the filet, and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. My wife had a cheeseburger that tasted amazing. Our waitress, Erin, was very friendly. Despite being super busy, she always made sure to check on us. Don’t listen to any negative reviews about this place—it’s legit! We will definitely be back!
Stopped by this place after a recommendation from other tourists for Chargrilled oysters. The chargrilled oysters and fried crab claws were very delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller were a bit lukewarm, and the cheese wasnt melted all the way, so we didnt enjoy them as much but good. The shrimp tacos were jam-packed and pretty tasty. Our server Tara was excellent! Very pleasant and efficient.
Exorbitant prices for marginal food. Wait staff was very nice. This is a tourist trap restaurant with very expensive prices. We all had fish that was simply poor quality and poorly prepared. Fried fish was oily and didn’t taste good. Blackened fish lacked any flavor and from the appearance, any caramelization. Pecan grouper was bland and lacked any flavor. Way too expensive to be this bad. The lime cilantro rice smelled like stinky feet and tasted (I imagine) the same. Go elsewhere.
We had a party of six for lunch on NYE eve. We were seated quickly but our server was a little slow getting to us. When she arrived she was helpful in explaining that items on the sushi menu came out at different times than the other menu. They were also already running a NYE menu including a complimentary glass of wine or champagne. We ordered the chargrilled oysters and drinks before ordering our entrees. The oysters came out and some were burnt and others not so much. They all tasted good to me. One in our party ordered from the sushi menu and their food was out relatively quick, but without chopsticks, or a boat (for soy sauce). In fact they were finished with their sushi roll when everyone elses food finally arrived. For our lunch we had a mix of salads and entrees. The jellyfish salad topped with salad was delicious. The fried shrimp was also good as well as the Pecan Grouper. I believe they also have a special night for the Armed Forces. All in all I will definitely be going back to Jellyfish.Urban CowgillDec 2023
We had a Great evening at Jellyfish. We arrived at 7:00 pm which is busy during tourist season. We were told to expect a 25 minute wait. But we were seated in about 15 minutes. We are local and know that the sushi comes from one kitchen and everything else comes from another. But waiter made sure he explained that anyway as we were placing our order. Speaking of Waiter his name is Gabe and I have included his photo. He is funny, polite and most importantly, very good at service! Thank you Gabe for a relaxing evening. On another note, we asked to speak to the manager to let him know we enjoyed ourselves. Marty (the manager) came out within 5 minutes of our request. He was pleasant to interact with, full of positive energy and gave us his full attention.Thank you Jellyfish for a fantastic night out!
Great restaurant! Food quality and service was top notch. All five people in our group loved the food. Appetizers included fried green tomatoes, with a top notch remoulade sauce, and a very tasty crab wonton with teriyaki sauce. Entrees included the Jelly Fish cheeseburger and onion rings that had super good flavor. Poboy with blackened grouper and all the fixings. Very good taste. Fish and chips, salmon BLT, and grouper Reuben were all excellent. Service was provided by Gabby who was Janie-on-the-spot for refills and anything else we needed. Atmosphere was a nice sea and surf motif. Food prices were good. Parking was great. We will definitely return to this excellent restaurant.
What an experience! Our first time here so we tried lots of things. The gumbo looked like no gumbo I had seen before but it tasted awesome! Yum! The Fried Seafood Platter was top notch, those oysters were so juicy! And the raw oysters were so fresh. The chargrilledoysters were very good but this is the one item I would have said was not my favorite. We also had a Santa Rosa sushi roll which was very tasty and again, very fresh! Overall, I would abosuletly recommend and I will be back!!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Jellyfish Seafood Restaurant and Bar, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of my meal was the blackened red snapper, served over a bed of flavorful cilantro rice. The dish was cooked to perfection, with the fish being tender and the flavors perfectly balanced. One thing that truly stood out to me was the amazing grit of the snapper. It added a delightful texture to each bite, making the dish even more enjoyable. The combination of the blackened seasoning and the grit was simply outstanding.Despite being very busy, the service at Jellyfish Seafood Restaurant and Bar was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. They made sure to provide us with a memorable dining experience, even with the high volume of customers.Overall, I would highly recommend Jellyfish Seafood Restaurant and Bar to anyone visiting the area. The delicious food, especially the blackened red snapper, along with the excellent service, make it a great choice for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
My husband and I dined at The Jellyfish tonight and it was very special. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our meals were delicious, Jumbo Fried Shrimp and Creole Shrimp Stack. Leslie, Jamie and Brent from your staff were excellent. It was busy, but the personal touch was really nice! We will be back!
My husband and I ate here last week and it was beyond amazing! He tried oysters for the first time and I had a sushi roll- AMAZING! The bar tender, Gabby, was so kind and her service was super! We enjoyed hanging at the bar talking to strangers 🙃
Our party of three arrived about 5:00pm on a Saturday in January. They were busy but not overly so, and we had no trouble getting a table. It would have been fun to sit outside and watch the sunset, but it was too cold. They offer promotions during the week, but not on the weekends. The service was pretty good although the waitress left dirty plates on the table too long. We ordered a bottle of wine, the Wedge Salad with Chicken, the Creole Shrimp Stack, the Super Shrimp Tempura Roll, the Perdido Roll, and the Unagi Roll. All of the servings were generous. The Wedge was a typical wedge salad although some of the lettuce had brown spots. We have mixed feelings on the Creole Shrimp Stack. The fried risotto was delicious - crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The fried green tomatoes were very dry, and the tomato was too green and fibrous. There were six nice-sized, tasty shrimp, but a couple of them were under cooked and tough. The Unagi roll was unimpressive. It just tasted like rice. The Super Shrimp Tempura Roll was pretty tasty, and The Perdido Roll hit the spot. So, as far as the food goes, it was a mixed bag. For a fairly large restaurant, they only have two ladies and two men’s restrooms, and they are both one-seaters so don’t wait until the last minute!
We have been visiting different parts of Florida for years and have never had great sushi until now. Oh wow it was delicious and fresh!! Kept us wanting to come back for more! We got the Perdido roll and the Santa Rosa to try. The calamari was fresh and crispy, and the other food was great for the price too. We were absolutely stuffed when we were done! Theres a great ice cream shop downstairs when you finish too thats worth the visit!
I really love Jellyfish! Seafood & Sushi! My favorites!!! I went 3 times in my two week trip to Perdido Key, and I will most definitely be back! The atmosphere is welcoming! I love all the people I met there, and the food was great!Raw Oysters 😊Poke Bowl 🥣 & the Santa Rosa roll 😋The French fries 🍟 are phenomenal!!
My culinary journey at The Jellyfish Restaurant was highlighted by their red snapper—undeniably the second best Ive ever tasted (with the top honor still held by Cart Barn Grill in LaGrange, Georgia). My wife savored every bite of her ribeye, raving about its perfect seasoning and tenderness. The service was impeccable, thanks to our fantastic server who made the evening even more enjoyable. We loved the ambiance of dining on the porch. This place has an extensive menu, and everything looked tempting. Next time, I’m diving into their sushi offerings. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to check out The Jellyfish Restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!
This place is so YUMMY!! if you are on perdido I highly recommend. We started off with the Man O War Martini, which was amazing. I felt very cute drinking it like I was straight out of the barbie movie. We had the grouper bites which were so soft on the inside but crisp on the inside. Finally, we ordered the sushi. We got the Man o war (10/10), the rainbow, the red dragon (8/10), and the alaskan (9/10). One huge plus is ALL the sushi tasted extremely fresh. Our server Anthony did an excellent job despite how busy he was.
This place didn’t live up to the hype. The food was just okay, nothing special. We had the crab fingers, some shrimp app, blackened wahoo, and snapper. Not sure why this place is so popular; I’ve had better seafood in Louisville Kentucky. I should say however that the service was excellent.
Our party of four ate here five times in our week long visit to Perdido Key. The food was amazing, the service was awesome and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered! The Grouper Pontchartrain is off the hook! All our sushi was excellent! If you like whiskey order the smoked old fashioned. And get your phone ready to make video! The Jellyfish is awesome, wait staff, Matt, Jess, Jenn, and Jennifer all outstanding! Thanks for making our trip amazing!!
I have been here several times and this has become a favorite while visiting my sister living on Perdido Key.Leslie, our server is fantastic. She listened to our requests, had suggestions, and was quick to get drinks going. She took excellent care of us.Outside seating is great if you don’t mind the main road. We didn’t. The bar is nice too. Lot’s of options.Sushi is good here, and is where I discovered fried sushi.Honestly, they make the best Dirty Martini’s for those who partake.I recommend, and hope anyone reading this gives Jellyfish a try and has a memorable dinners like we always have.
Ava shines brightly, a beacon of delight. With grace and warmth, she tends to each need,A five-star server, indeed! From the moment you enter, her smile does greet,A symphony of service, so kind and sweet.Attentive and swift, with a charm so rare,Ava ensures each meal is beyond compare. Her knowledge of the menu, vast and profound,Guides you through choices, the best to be found. With every request, she’s prompt and sincere,Making your dining experience truly dear.In the tapestry of service, Ava’s a thread,Weaving joy and comfort, where’er she’s led.A five-star review, with hearts full of cheer,For Ava, the server, who brings magic near!
After hearing locals rave about The Jellyfish, we had to stop by. We arrived and were seated within just a couple of minutes. They do have an elevator which is geeat as our daughter is in a wheelchair. The dining room is spacious. Staff are friendly and can make informed recommendations. For appetizers we ordered fried crab claws and fried crab wonton which were delicious.Main courses were a philly roll with tuna instead of salmon and deep fried, topped with spicy mayo, Sriracha and eel sauce, tuna nigiri and yellowtail nigiri which melted in our mouths and a Costa Del Mar roll finished out the sushi. We also ordered two Seafood Linguine Alfredo, a Chicken Linguine Alfredo and Chicken strips and mac n cheese for the kids.Dessert was Key Lime Pie and White chocolate blueberry cheesecake. It was all delicious.Do yourself a favor and drop by. Cortland and his team will take care of you!Pro Tip: Arrive before 5pm. After that it gets busy...very busy.
This has always been an excellent spot for local seafood, sushi, & the perfect martini, but they have really stepped up the service over the last year. Management is always receptive & helpful. Tonight I forgot my to go box that had the majority of my delicious pecan grouper meal. I realized my mistake a minute later & came back to see that it had just been thrown away. The management generously accommodated the situation, & I couldn’t be more grateful. The staff make you want to return!
I really had high hopes for The Jellyfish, but unfortunately it was just mid. I ordered the gumbo, side salad, and jellyfish cole slaw. The gumbo was the best gumbo I have eaten in a very long time. It had a nice seasoning and lots of meat included... Close to something meat related in every bite... Hearty even. The side salad was just lettuce and a few a very small amount cheese. If there was anything else in it, ie: tomato, croutons, etc. it was such a miniscule amount that I just cant remember. We got wontons for an appetizer, again theyre good but not great or amazing. My daughter ordered a California roll. She had never had it before and again The food was good, but for the price I expected better. I was just let down. The atmosphere in the place itself was pretty great though. They had an outside balcony, a pretty cool bar and decor. Overall I give it a three with a lot of potential to be great for people on vacation. I dont know that I would go back, But it definitely wasnt awful food.
DELICIOUS! We are visiting the area and tried Jellyfish on a whim. We are so glad we did! The food was amazing, service was great and location was across the street from the beach and within walking distance from our condo. The price point is exceptional for the quality and amount of food you receive. Our party tried two different grouper plates, the red snapper plate, salads and sushi. Wow! So good! Presentation was beautiful and service was great! The pecan crusted grouper was the very favorite and the sushi was yummy. Great location on Perdido Beach Blvd in the heart of Perdido Key and in a central shopping area. We will visit again before we leave. If you like sushi, Wednesday is 1/2 price sushi night. (Restaurant was well kept, tables were clean (even the outside seating) and the bathroom was clean and well maintained). Count on a good meal here.
We visited around 7:30 on a Monday night. There was a wait and several others ahead of us, but it went quickly. We had a few drinks from the bar while we waited. Probably took around 30 minutes. They were pretty busy. The atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is very open with lots of seating. Theres a large fish tank in the middle of the restaurant. Everything we ate was very tasty. We had a party of 6 and were well taken care of. We had appetizers and some martinis. We also had a variety of food from pork chops to poboys. Everything was cooked well and very delicious. Our service was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere. It is family friendly as well.
Food was amazing and our server Gabe U was so kind and showed superior customer service. He did a great job on the appetizer recommendation and was prompt with the drink refills. We are locals and will definitely be back! Thanks Gabe!
We’ve been there a few times. Its loud, busy and fun for those staying at the condos across the road. We ate in the bar. Waiting bout 10 minutes before anyone stopped to give us service. Ordered a beer and Manhattan. Didn’t expect the cherry to still have the pit in it. They’re not really known for cocktails. More like pour the premade stuff. Food is mediocre at best. The cheeseburger didn’t taste like real meat. It was like it was cut with something. Fries were good though. The charbroiled oysters were tiny little things smothered with gobs of cheese. Was surprised that a couple of them were cold. Also had a shrimp roll. It was alright. Nothing special. It’s not a bad restaurant. Just surprised it ever got Best of the Bay.
Cool bar atmosphere but dining room was more like a geriatric cafeteria. Food met that standard as well except for the tuna nachos. They were good. The staff were very friendly but pushed to the limit. I know our server had at least 5 tables including a 10 top. Typical tourist, beach restaurant for an older age and def not for the food snob.
Food was great, our waitress was great, but the management was absolutely HORRIBLE! It’s sad when I have the transaction on my phone about ordering there the night before, and it’s still a hassle to get what you ordered. I hate to say it, but I will not be back until the management is trained correctly or they pursue new management. One was not the customer service oriented both days, and the other took lead. Oh, and make sure you make your way to a bench when on the wait list, or you will get reprimanded for that even though we were trying to go downstairs to the daiquiri bar as they told us we could. Poor poor management. As if I am going to push for my side of grits I paid for and lie when I just spent $100! Then they gave me my grits finally in what looks like a sauce container to be smart about it. Two bites is what I paid for. Wow.
We had dinner tonight and could not have had a better experience. Jen, our waitress, was helpful and so friendly. The food was cooked just right and enjoyed it all
Nice location across from the beach. Depending on where you’ll be seated, you might be able to see the Gulf. I’d imagine based on the season, the place can be crowded. We were seated promptly. They have many different menu options including seafood and sushi. The prices are a bit pricey. I ordered Rockefeller oysters and gumbo. The oysters were delicious.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was always hot, fresh, delicious, and the plating made to food look very appetizing. Once again the service was great. Over all amazing place and very family friendly. We aren’t locals so this was a very good place to visit on our first night eating our while here. Our server Tara was AMAZING!!!!!!
Great restaurant for both seafood and non-seafood dishes! Visited here for the first time for date night. Enjoyed some sushi and grouper as well as a Bushwacker-tini. Our server, Victoria, was awesome! Friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about the menu.Enjoyed it so much, we came back for lunch! We ordered burgers, fish tacos, and the salmon BLT. All of it was hot and delicious! And our server, Ali, was fabulous! Friendly, professional, and attentive to our party. All-around great dining experiences!
Stumbled upon this place and we sure are happy we did! Best grouper tacos I have ever had and the cilantro lime rice was awesome. Hubs got the fried chicken sandwich and it was huge and great! And had the best service by Leslie !
This was our second time in, the first being in 2022. We went around 4pm so we didn’t have to wait! In 2022, we tried to come around 6pm and had to wait over an hour for table. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and it was okay. I got the chicken tacos (fried chicken) with fries and it was SO good! I know it’s a seafood restaurant but going to a bunch of seafood restaurants when you don’t like seafood, you usually expect an okay burger or regular chicken tenders… this was so much better!! The staff was all very friendly and the place was clean.
I had oysters and I can say that, the oysters that I had have been one the most exquisite in recent years. The food was excellent, big portions, and the most important is the staff was very friendly and attentive to make sure we had a good experience. Thank you to our server Erin.
Ava provided top notch service throughout our dining experience. She offered suggestions, was knowledgeable about the menu, and was so very sweet! Our food was delicious. I recommend the Santa Rosa roll if you like spicy. Our group of 6 tried various menu items from the red snapper, wontons, lumpia, fried green tomatoes, seared tuna, grouper tacos, man of war roll, and a few other things. Everyone had positive reviews of their food. The mermaid drink was not my favorite but the color changing souvenir cup was a nice touch. Overall, it was a good experience for a night out.
One of the best restaurants in town. The service here is unmatched. Leslie took care of us. She was phenomenal, so personable and she made incredible suggestions (I added a new fish to my “i like it” list!!!). The grouper tacos were amazing. I really could go on for hours about the staff here, if you are looking for the best meal of your visit, come to The Jellyfish.
First visit and I’m in love! The jellyfish has a wonderful casual atmosphere. The food is delicious and well executed, and the drinks are on point. My mother had the Grouper Po’Boy and the fish was cooked to perfection. I had the Creole Blackened Shrimp Stack and everything was so well balanced. The Bond martini was great for anyone who prefers a dryer cocktail. Our server, Jessica, was very friendly and attentive. She help helped us with finding the perfect meal and drink combo while browsing their extensive menu. Couldn’t have asked for a better server. We will absolutely be coming back!
This was my first time ever in Perdido Key and we decided to try this place out for dinner. It was amazing! Our server, Ava, was incredible and so sweet. Her personality made the experience wonderful and she was so helpful with all of our questions. We will definitely be back and will ask for Ava again!
First time diner at The Jellyfish Bar and the food, atmosphere and service was impeccable. Leslie, our server, suggested anything under chef specials so i went with the Snapper Atchafalaya and wow!! It was delicious. Topped the night off with a bushwhacker and it was phenomenal as well. Overall, Leslie, our server, was extremely helpful and her recommendations with spot on. She made my experience great! Im looking forward to returning so I can sample more menu items!
We have been coming to the Jellyfish Bar for 10 years - we continue to have an incredible experience! We were sat well before our expected wait time. The food, from the sushi to the tacos/burgers, was all flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was fun, and our server, Wilson, crushed it! Really enjoyed our time here!!
We thoroughly enjoyed eating here. The food was amazing. Gabe was our waiter. He was fantastic. He was very professional, polite, and friendly. Best waiter Ive had at a restaurant in a long time!
What a find! Only took 20 minutes to be seated and unlike some places seems fully staffed with delightful workers. Bartender Jessica made an amazing dirty martini. Started with wontons then moved to our entrees. Delicious. And sweet Colby was our waitress and was absolutely perfect. Food was out quickly and was soooo Delicious! Definitely a go to place. We will be back!! Sushi, charbroiled oysters, fish tacos and stack with shrimp, risotto and fried green tomatoes. Super yum!
One of my favorite places to eat in Perdido Key. Great sushi bar and sandwiches. Love the app grouper bites and the wontons are always good. Last night she had blackened chicken Caesar salad, I had Surf and Turf sushi and the blackened shrimp and Gouda grits. I had the Andouille cream sauce served on the side. It’s good but not my favorite sauce and I enjoyed the shrimp and grits a lot more without the sauce. The sushi came with black sesame seeds on it, which wasn’t indicated on the menu, and I don’t like the seeds, but overall the sushi roll was very good. This is a hidden gem. If you are in the Perdido Key area, it is worth a trip in. We’ve been coming here for years and years and it is always a good meal. You may have to wait 15-20 minutes for a table, but grab a drink at the bar and be happy you’re at the beach.
We weren’t expecting it to be so busy on a Monday night but were pleasantly surprised with how quickly Jenny took our order. We love the sushi at Jellyfish and it did not disappoint. Jenny was very attentive and came in strong with the bread pudding recommendation. Great meal and great service!
Went here for some drinks and an appetizer and had a great experience!! What really made it so memorable was our bartender, Jill!! She went above and beyond. She was working hard (it was busy), but still made time to be personable and get our drinks and food to us quickly.Cant wait to go back!
My family and I come here on vacation every year and love the food. Unfortunately today we had an incident that ruined our experiences for the future. We had ordered the crab leg appetizer which were good but nothing spectacular and come to find out when we received the check it cost $85!!!!! For an appetizer!!!!! The waiter did not tell us this and on the menu it said market price. We did learn that we should have asked the price but we do think for a place that is not a fancy restaurant they should have warned us for an appetizer that costs that much. We then spoke with the manager who apologized and gave us a 15% off coupon after saying she will give us a 50% discount on our next visit. We are still mind blown that we just spent that much money for itty bitty fried crab legs. Hope no one else makes this mistake!
This place has the best sushi in town! With a large variety! I just wish they had lobster rolls. I love going to sit at the bar with the best bartender in town Jill Varnagatas! She helps create the best experience while there. She is funny , fast and friendly.
The food and atmosphere was great! Our waiter was Gabe and he was phenomenal!! Very polite and helpful explaining all menu options. Took great care of us! Will ask for him on our next visit!
Great restaurant and the only place to get good sushi in perdido key. Everything on the menu is prepared right and prices are reasonable. Service is always friendly and if you’re lucky enough to get Ava your visit will be memorable. Been here 20 years and this is the go to spot for a great meal in perdido key.
We had a great meal, great service, and a great view. It was such a beautiful day in Perdido Key, we sat out on the balcony. The Grouper bites were fantastic, also really liked the Krab wontons. Also ordered the surf and turf sushi roll, it was delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Our visit was a really great experience, we will certainly return soon.
My wife and I went there for date on vacation. We avoided going with the family because it always seemed like a long wait, but for two of us we were seated immediately. The service was pretty good, our waiter was really nice. Theres lots of choices for food, I went with the shrimp and grits and my wife went with fish tacos. The seafood was fresh and tasty, but the rest was ok. All in all we had a nice dinner with good food. The prices were a bit high but not offensive and where what I considered reasonable given the circumstances
Everything about this place was awesome. Our server Leslie took great care of us and made some great recommendations, all of which were delicious. I had the blackened wahoo special, which was absolutely delicious! Definitely a place you want to check out when you’re in the area!
I often write about my restaurants, their food and service quality, and what I observed. Last week, while attending a traffic engineering seminar in Pensacola, FL, I visited many restaurants, but there were ones that stood out as the very best, and not just last week. The jellyfish in Perdido Key, FL, has to be one of the best I have ever experienced. The waitress, Leslie (Leslie L), was one of the best servers I have seen in twenty years. She is a caring soul who cares about the customer and the business. The GM Brant is the same as a quality-driven, customer-oriented owner of the restaurant or service being observed. The entire start to finish was a great experience (I recommend a reservation, however). The cocktails were consistent and very good, and the appetizer was just plain awesome, but the meal was also. Leslie ensured that even though the restaurant was busy, they kept the service outstanding and the experience awesome. It is worth the drive, regardless of where you are, to visit one of the restaurants in the United States. A visit is in store every time I get close to the area, and I hope they expand to St Johns County, Florida. To both Leslie and Grant, congratulations on being a true five-star restaurant.
Very fun place. Tried the sushi and it was some of the best we’ve ever had.Our server was Wilson and he was great!!! Very personable and eager. Would recommend anyone to ask for him.Food was great- had the Gorgonzola Wahoo and husband had the filet. My husband had asked for a salad as one of his sides but never got it. Wilson swapped it out for us for the bread pudding. I’m glad my husband didn’t get his salad because the bread pudding was better. 😆All in all, very good and would go back to try more sushi rolls.
Amazing sushi, get the roll with the Cilantro it is life changing. Jenny was the best waitress, so funny and kind. Brant made sure everything was in order and we were fully satisfied with our food. 10/10, will be here again soon!
I don’t usually leave reviews for restaurants or service, but our server Ava was fantastic! She was attentive and her recommendations were delicious. Service here is amazing. Thank you for a great experience!
Great place. The blackened shrimp tacos were delicious and we loved the blackened salmon BLT. Our waitress, Ava, was great and very sweet and personable. We will visit again when we come back to Perdido Key. Lovely place and lovely staff.
Gabe was the most incredible server we have ever experienced. Not only was he adorable, but he was professional, attentive, and perfect. Cannot recommend this server / this restaurant more. Come here. Ask for Gabe!
Leslie was super sweet, very quick. No complaints from me. Man of war roll was my phenomenal!!! Will be back for sure.
Absolutely delicious! We were so impressed by the food, and service from Jo, she was kind and knowledgeable of the menu as well as very sweet to our kids!!! All of her suggestions were SPOT ON!!! We will be coming back!!! Sushi was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!
Fabulous food. I love shrimp and sushi. They know shrimp! Big uns too. And for sushi, I challenge anyone to find better on the Gulf Coast. Like most restaurants, they need a few more staff, but they work hard to limit the delays. The atmosphere is just okay. Not bad, just not plush or filled with eye candy-like decor. Beachy tho. Overall, a nine outta ten.
We stopped in on the recommendation of our maintenance techs at our rental on 3/23/24.The food was top notch. Our Server, Victoria, was friendly, informed and knowledgeable. You know its genuine that she enjoyed herself and the conversation because her smile didnt fade when she walked away.Well be back this trip and every one in the future. 5 stars isnt enough!!!!
Great atmosphere and beautiful view outside on balcony! Definitely try them. We dined-in for dinner and I had the fish tacos. They were awesome with fries.
My husband and I visiting from out of state (Louisiana) and the food was phenomenal! Matthew took care of us and was very knowledgeable on every single menu item. He recommended the Sand Dollar roll (which was amazing) and was extremely patient with us the entire time. Super happy we stopped and would 10/10 recommended this restaurant to anyone.
Extensive menu, including sushi!!! Grouper Ponchatrain was exquisite. Wish the crab claws were a bit meatier. So great we ate there twice during our visit.
For restaurants in the area, The Jellyfish is by far superior to other options. The fish is cooked perfectly - pro tip: if you don’t like a lot of sauce on your entree, ask for it on the side! Gabe really made our night. I’m stickler with service, and he really went above and beyond.
We absolutely love this restaurant and always eat here a couple of times on our vacation we have gone to lots of restaurants in the area as well. There surprisingly is low wait times and the food and service is excellent . Our server Gabe was awesome and gave us great service !
My family and I have been coming to Jelly Fish Restaurant for years! It’s our favorite place to go for sushi. All of their food is great and the martinis are amazing. Jenn was recently our waitress and she was so sweet and attentive. I highly recommend the Jelly Fish! 😁
We were seated for 15+ minutes, and nobody greeted us to take our drink order. After going to the hostess and making her aware of the situation, we did finally get a waitress, and our order came out in a timely manner.
Literally my new favorite restaurant ever. We were here 4 times in the week we were on vacation. Also our server, Matt, was the best. Very friendly & helpful. Cant wait to come back!!
Jill and Michelle behind the bar are incredible!!! I felt so taken care of, service and attention to detail was impeccable. Could not recommend enough. The food...10/10. Atmosphere; inviting, real, relaxed. You will not be disappointed.
Our server, Amanda was absolutely amazing. She did such a great job. The steak was perfect. My wife had the shrimp tacos, which were excellent so glad we chose y’all‘s place.
Leslie was fantastic! Very knowledgeable. The grouper fingers and wahoo is delicious. I can’t get seafood like this back in Paris, TN!!! Jellyfish is always a destination when visiting my family here. Thanks for another great meal. 😄
Went for lunch. Service was fantastic, food was so-so. My wife had fish tacos that were very fishy. I had fish and chips, and the fries were the best part of the meal. The fish was 50% breading, very little meat, very little flavor. I would have actually preferred Captain Ds. 😬
We loved our meal! The sushi was fantastic, made fresh. I had the fish tacos, fresh ingredients and delicious. My husband loved the Pecan Grouper. Great service, nice atmosphere at lunch. Inside or deck dining. We will be back! (There is an elevator or steps to get to the restaurant)
Food was very good. We really enjoyed the shrimp tacos and coleslaw! Gabe was a wonderful server as well. We will definitely be returning!
Amazing as always!!!! This is a must for us when in town. The service and food is always great! Anna Grace was awesome! She was super friendly and knowledgeable. ( On a few picks we took her recommendation, she was spot on!) Always recommend for a great lunch, dinner and great service.
My family and I just left the Jellyfish. Im not sure if something has changed, but not the best experience 😟. We come to Perdido Key every year and look forward to dinner here! NEVER had a bad experience! But tonight...lets start the list. Sushi roll with eel...had no eel. Fried Mahi undercooked. No soy for the sushie rolls. No silverwear or napkins brought to table until after entrées had arrived. Our receipt has some wierd charges on it that we cant figure out and dont add up! We were seated outdoors with 2 tiny tables pushed together with kids in stools in the way of guests and servers. Like I said...we have never had a bad experience and always look forward to dinner here. But for over 200.00$ not sure we will try again! ☹️
Sat outside, was a bit windy but the server was great and helped ensure we didnt have things blowing all over. The pear martini was delicious. The blackened wahoo was fantastic, paired with veggies and rice, which were both well seasoned. The shrimp and Mahi were also very good. Will definitely come back.
Great place near the beach with a good view, if you sit outside. The Sushi is a little pricey for the amount of rolls you get, but its very tasty so it helps make up for it. (a little anyway) Lol. The Shrimp Tacos were fantastic. Id love to try the grilled shrimp as well. Kat was our waitress; she had a good sense of humor and kept the visit pleasant. She also kept our waters full and offered some suggestions on what to order, since it was our first time there. Totally appreciated that. See Kat, told ya you could count on our review. 😉Definitely a must try restaurant. First come, first serve; no reservations and the parking lot shares with many other businesses, so plan ahead.
Last night of our Florida vacation and we decided to dine at Jellyfish… food was amazing! Blackened shrimp, sushi rolls, calamari, and dessert, so delicious, all with an ocean view! Our server Eric was very kind and helpful. We definitely recommend it and can’t wait to come back!
We were sat very quickly. Our server was Jenny and she was amazing!! The food was great! The atmosphere was perfect. We got to have lunch with the whole Nemo crew and they were wonderful! Our view of the ocean was nice and peaceful. Then Jenny came back and ended out Dinning experience with a 10 ⭐️ rating!!Thanks Jenny!!❤️
Great experience. Me and my family came here for dinner. We waited a few min on a Monday night for a table of 6. Everything came out fast other than the sushi, which we ordered as an appetizer, but they got a large takeout order just before ours. The drinks we all ordered were good and I would highly recommend the Loaded Bloody Mary. The food was made fresh and was hot when it was brought out. The service was really good and the manager stopped by several times to make sure everything was going well. We we did end up cacelling the sushi order due to the amount of time it was taking and we were pretty much done with the rest our meal. The manager came and apologized and made sure it wasnt on the check. Great service. I would definitely recommend for a local or for someone visiting.
Perfect afternoon! Eye catching interior, laid back atmosphere, and cocktails were spot on! Michelle DiGeronimo gave us exceptional customer service! A never ending smile and pleasant conversation! Can’t wait to come back again!
Hands down the restaurant that I would recommend to everyone. The food was amazing and the service was even better!! Leslie is the one to ask for if you want great recommendations on the menu. The calamari was excellent and the grouper Reuben will keep bringing you back to this fabulous restaurant!
Went with some friends. Service was top notch. She was training someone and she took the time to help him with our orders. Food came out fairly fast, and was hot, and full of flavor. We will be coming back
My family (with a 6 and 2 year old) came here for dinner during our beach vacation. The greeter staff at the front door, the bartender, and our server were all great, especially our server. She even took the time to try and help our 6 yr old learn how to use chop sticks for her first trial of sushi (which she loved) with a little hack to help her keep the sticks together (rubber band on the non-food end). The draft beer selection was decent, the sushi was delicious, and I had an order of fish tacos that were great as well. We had asked to sub the regular fries that came with the fish tacos with sweet potato fries which were forgotten, but once we mentioned it to the server she had sweet potato fries out to us within a few minutes. Our two-year-old also really enjoyed the fish tank right near our table as some cheap entertainment while we ate. The prices were also reasonable for the portions and quality of the food we ordered. Overall we had a great experience and would absolutely come back.
Only reason for the 2 stars on food is.. Ordered the grubber bites and they tasted a bit fishy… the garnish was soggy also ordered a Mojito that tasted awesome however for the price it was mostly ICE! Our Server was outstanding! Atmosphere was great! The burger was awesome!!!! Totally recommend the burger!
Sushi is to die for in a cute place with a nice bar.Service is ok but a little slow at times. Food is brought fairly quick.Usually have to wait to get the check paid.It could be b/c it is usually 2 of us. Large groups may not have a problem.
Such a great place! We are from Canada and heard about this place in London, Ontario. We were not disappointed. My wife and I both had sushi. She loved the spicy tuna and I thought that the super shrimp tempura sushi was among the most flavourful sushi Ive ever had. Highly recommend The Jellyfish to anyone who enjoys friendly people, great atmosphere and amazing food!!!Jamie and Heather Clark
It’s cool that this place is upstairs because it’s cool being upstairs. Matthew is a cool dude he hyped up the sushi a lot but sorry man I wasn’t in the mood. I got shrimp and grits. The shrimp was seasoned beautifully but the grits were bland and kinda hard.
This was our first time here and our server Leslie gave us all her fave recommendations! I went ahead and ordered their ribeye and before Leslie put the order in she showed me a menu with a new ribeye dish that they had just released today, so I had to try that! It had a creamy sauce and crab on it and it was so good!! Thank you Leslie for all your recommendations and kindness!
If we could give a 10 star, we 100% would. The food was amazing & our server was 10/10. Trisha took such great care of us and made the experience perfect! Ask for her if you come in!
We had a blast our first time at Jellyfish. Oysters, sushi, drinks, and dessert was amazing. Our server, Rachel, was outstanding! And the vibe was relaxed and friendly! We will be back very soon!
Leslie was great! Attentive without being overbearing, the food was delish - we ordered the spicy tuna nachos and the Creole shrimp stack based on her recommendation. Great experience!
Waitress Katherine was horrible. Very rude and did not care about us at all. Never asked how our food was and never refilled any drinks at the table. The worst part was that we could hear her having a great time at her other tables and then completely shutting down when she came to ours. Very disappointing. Hostess was very nice and recommended very good options.
Best place in Perdido! All the bartenders are great! Especially Cali and Marvin! Nick and Brant strived for our happiness! Such great food and phenomenal atmosphere! Don’t miss out on Jellysfish!!
Eric did a phenomenal job as our waiter. He also had great recommendations for appetizers and came by frequently to check on us. We will definitely be back!
Anna suggested a Pear Martini that was excellent. Food and as great, I’d had so much seafood I wanted something else, I had the chicken breast with veggies. Excellent. Thank you Jellyfish for making our anniversary special again this year.
Great EXPERIENCE. We came in last minute. Before closing and, Amanda made us feel like she was the only customer she had all day.
Great experience! Leslie was our server and she had the best recommendations for food and drinks. The pear martini and the sex on a surfboard martini were great. Also recommend the chefs special Wahoo and the grouper pontchartrain . Kid friendly too! Grilled chicken tacos and a burger for the littles!
We always visit The Jellyfish at least once during our annual weekly stay in Perdido Key.This year was disappointing. We usually start with the fried crab claws .They are normally cooked to perfection and you got Allo for $20. Price has gone up to $30 firc1/2 lb. But they werent good...too much breading and no flavor! My honey ordered the ribeye and said it was the worst hes ever had. Zero flavor, no grill taste, no seasoning..just bland. Very disappointed!
Our server Jake was amazing!!! He was super friendly and anything we needed, he was right there to help. I would recommend to anyone! When our plates come out, not only were they pretty, but they were DELICIOUS!!! The drinks were also to die for!
Beyond good, this place has sushi and cocktails that will put a shine in a rainy day. I highly recommend the Surf and Turf roll with some volcano crab on too (a recommendation from our server) or the Red Dragon roll. I left full and wishing I could eat more.Service was excellent (especially our server Javen), food quality unparalleled. We didnt have a wait to sit down, and our order was taken nearly instantly.Unfortunately we didnt get to try the frozen cocktails (sounded good and likely are). The perdido-tini is delicious ( my sister ordered it). Its a dry melon martini that hints at sweetness. She also ordered the Jellyfish Bowl and loved it.Edit: After a week of eating a different restaurants for each meal, I regret not eating here again. No place from Destin to Alabamas border had better food and service.
We had the poppin jalapeño oysters. They were not really what we were expecting, a bit heavy on the cream cheese and a good bit of shells on it. However Gabe U did a great job.
Katie our server was well knowledged & super friendly, the food was beautifully plated, fresh & delicious, definetly be back
The chargrilled oysters were amazing as were the grouper and wahoo. Our server, Katherine, was excellent. We enjoyed our experience so much we had to go back for another round. Same server and more delicious oysters.
I dont know where to begin, the bartenders, the service, the food... amazing! And we couldnt have had a better server, thanks to Ava for dealing worth the 7 of us! Well be back
This place is amazing. I had the salad and other people had seafood pasta and the jellyfish burger. All was amazing and the service was met more than expected.
Really enjoy the Jellfish, and love hanging out at the bar. Jill is the best bartender on the Key! She has a great and super positive, personality!! Always fun!!
Stopped by last week for lunch of sushi and seafood. Service and food are consistently good. Daughter was a bit unhappy as the “salmon nigiri” ordered was delivered as “smoked salmon.” (Which a distinctly different flavor and not what was ordered) the salmon roll was regular, not smoked, salmon.Enjoyed chargrilled and raw oysters, soup of the day (potato Reuben - yeah, that’s right), and side salad. This plus one salmon roll and two orders salmon nigiri (4 pieces) was $60+ which is largely why I gave only 4 stars. Value for the $ wasn’t quite what I expected.
This was our first time trying Jellyfish - Seafood, so we have no other experiences here to compare with this one.We are staying at one of the condo buildings across the street and liked the idea of walking to dinner (@ 6:00 PM Sunday).Food:Something for everyone, but flavors did not wow for the priceService:Somewhat slow, way too pushy on alcoholic / bar itemsAtmosphere:This is 5 stars ... fun Florida theme, fish tank, outdoor seating that faces the Gulf, etc...
Like many restaurants, the server makes the difference and this is the case with The Jellyfish. Jenny made our dinner a delight and was an excellent guide to the menu and even other restaurants in the area we might try. Our food - salmon and wahoo - and drinks came in a timely manner and were delicious. The restaurant decor is simple and comfortable with tables far enough apart to make conversation easy. Restrooms clean and easy to access. We did not try the sushi but it looked good.
Had a great time at the Jellyfish Bar. Jill the bartender was so much fun to talk to. She was on point with all our needs. Will definitely return soon.
The seafood platter was superb, helping us enjoy a beautiful day on the beach. The service was excellent and our server, Jenny was attentive and friendly. All around, recommend.
Sushi and cocktails were great! Ava, our server was exceptional, a rare find in Pensacola!! Well be back
The food was good, but our server went MIA on us midway through the lunch. One meal was brought to our table, but then it was 20 min later at least before the other 3 meals came out. The service left us not wanting to return here.
Our server, Eric was phenomenal! He bussed, set, and hosted our table in addition to being an outstanding server. Sushi was delicious, Bond martini is a 10/10.
Me and my wife came here to eat on our vacation and I have 0 complaints. Service was good drinks were good and the food was amazing! We had the stuffed grouper and a ribeye.
Jellyfish is consistently serving fresh, unique, delicious food. Their sushi is a must have if you are a fan of sushi! Service provided by Jake was unmatched! Highly recommend stopping by.
We brought in the entire family and Ava handled everything flawlessly. I asked her for a food suggestion and she gave me a genuine answer, and of course the food was top notch.
They have the best oysters around and they are a decent price compared to other places in the area. We have gone several times and never had a bad meal.
Food was freezer burnt tasting. Horrible. Overpriced. If you come here pay in cash because the waitress changed her tip amount after we left. I gave her almost 20 bucks which was 25 percent. Very dishonest. Never again.
Our server Isabella B, didnt understand that an appetizer comes before the meal, not with the meal. I asked her to take it off my order since I had recieved my meal and no appetizer. I ordered white tuna shasheme and got red tuna. When I told her it was not white tuna, she went and checked, then verified it was white tuna. Halfway through my meal a plate of actual white tune arrived. When I got my bill Isabella tried to charge me for everything.I disputed the app and red tuna.We were left with out refills. No customer service, extremely rude and does not know the difference between red and white!
Leslie is amazing! She gave great service. Cali at the bar is also great! Oysters and sushi were to die for. 10/10 recommend.
Food was good but ordered a mojito. The mojito came, flat club soda, heavy mint and NO alcohol.Sent it back and they “remade it”.It was with more carbonation but still no alcohol. Didn’t even finish the drink. They removed it from the bill but the bartender needs to learn how to make a drink. 3 people tried the drink and they all said the same thing.Do better.
I love this restaurant. I would give jellyfish 100 🌟s if I could. I recommend the sushi and the seafood alfrado. And Trisha is the best waitress ever.
Dinner was great but Gabe made our dining experience a 10/10. He was attentive and friendly and did an excellent job all night! 💯
Bar tender Jill is awesome. The best! Not only are her drinks wonderful, she seems to always know what I want - or need 😆
The Jellyfish restaurant was a pleasant surprise for the first time dining there. The food was excellent, as was the service (be sure to ask for Jake). The casual atmosphere was very nice. It is located on the second level, but is handicap accessible, with an elevator no more than 30 from the front door. My husband had the Grouper Fish and chips and I had the wedge salad with no shortage of blue cheese, yum. I also had their Poke Bowl, which was very good. We shared the White Chocolate Bread bread pudding for dessert. All in all an impressive eatery. The prices are, well, you get what you pay for and we were in no way disappointed. Straight from the beach or otherwise, the Jellyfish is an all together great place to eat.
Gabe is an incredible server. Super attentive and so patient with my whole family. If you’re ever at this amazing restaurant ask for Gabe!!
Our table had the filet, ribeye, salmon and grouper. All cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Leslie, was great, along with the other staff. White chocolate crème brûlée was delicious.
Our server, Angie, was the best! So attentive, helpful, and friendly to our party of 11! Would recommend to anyone visiting the perdido key area!
First time trying this place and it was amazing! Our server Ava was awesome, she provided great service! Would recommend to others!
Leslie was the best waitress and very helpful with things to do around the area. We had the crab wontons 2 nights in a row, shrimp and grits, wedge salad, Cobb salad, and grilled shrimp and shrimp tempura roll. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend. All the way from Brevard, NC and well be back ❤️
Our waiter Jake did an outstanding job and the food was delicious. The portions were on the bigger side as well. Definitely recommend coming here.
THE best Pear Martini that has ever touched my lips!! The chargrilled Oysters were delicious. Service was amazing & we love the atmosphere. Such a fun place for happy hour & apps!
Menu was varied seafood. All oyster appetizers were excellent. Server Jo was knowledgeable and professional with good recommendations. Great experience for our family.
Ava was our server and was amazing!!! She is one of the best servers I have ever had! She was so friendly and nice!!
Based on a recommendation from a friend, my wife and I went to the Jellyfish for dinner last night. I had the Blackened Gorgonzola Wahoo, and my wife had the Fish Tacos. The food was fresh and very tasty. I now believe all food should be served with their gorgonzola cheese sauce! Our waitress, Leslie, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next dinner at the Jellyfish!
Great dining experience. By far the freshest best seafood in the Gulf. Our server Jake was awesome and enhanced our visit.we visit the area annually and each visit Jellyfish is a must!
The service is pretty good and the atmosphere is awesome. This place has every mark of a high end restaurant. Prices are high though for what is Applebees-tier food. I wouldnt be upset if I paid Applebees prices but its ridiculous for what you get. $12 for crab wontons with hardly any crab or cream cheese in them. This is the cost of an entree, wonton wrappers are super cheap, cream cheese is like 4 dollars for two sticks, and not sure about the cost of crab but Im not even sure there was any in it.
