I will be recommending The Body Bar to all my friends! Everyone was so nice and respectful! I loved my wax by Sherry. She took her time and was very experienced. I will be back for a facial and future waxed :)

Super clean and sanitary place. Great selection of tanning lotions and services.Professionalism and accountability 3/10.Everyone was great and helpful, but the older receptionist lady with short hair and glasses could benefit from some continuing education classes in professionalism. Overall great experience though, owners obviously care about their establishment. Probably will be back but might try a different location.

Massage wasn’t good I had originally booked a massage& facial same day. Told receptionist that may not be able to keep to the facial appointment if my appointment across the street runs few minutes late. I’ve decided to just reschedule that portion of the treatment since I was 15 behind but was still charged $50. This was outrageous especially if it was already scheduled same day aka within 24 hour deadline how can you give a day notice? If it was booked same day as appointment scheduled? Then got charged full price on the dam facial no discount even though it was a discounted / mentioned discount. Sheesh 🙄. $300 later. No thx I’m canceling all my future appointments and going elsewhere.

Let me start by saying that, before today, I have only ever had good experiences at the Body Bar McCandless! All the estheticians are amazing! I have gotten several facials here before. I have had a few massages here as well, and they have always been amazing experiences! I prefer to schedule massages for special occasions to treat myself after a stressful time, like tax season, so I was eagerly awaiting my massage today.However, I’ve never had a massage like this before. The masseuse, Ally, wasn’t super clear what she wanted me to do when I first walked in. I just told her that I was looking for a relaxing massage today. She never turned on the meditative music, so I could hear her sniffling the whole time because she had a cold. She had the fan on full blast, but did not provide a blanket, like usual, just the top sheet, so I was cold. She was blowing her nose and slamming the cabinet doors loudly. She would make very sudden, slightly painful, moves with her finger on my neck that startled me. The worst part, though, was that she barely spent any time on my arms and legs, but was constantly going at the knots in my shoulders the entire time. It was painful, but I figured she knew what she was doing. Since I’ve gotten up from that bed, my shoulders hurt so bad, I can barely shrug them.

I had originally placed a request online. I received a call back quickly saying that a cancelation had occurred and if I wanted to come the next day. When I arrived, I was greeted and shown my way back to the spa area. My massage therapist was Keith, and his reputation for being the most sought-after did not lie! The pressure of the deep tissue massage was just right. He found knots I didnt know I had and got my shoulders and hips feeling heaps better. I pre-booked my next one before leaving.

Had an easy and excellent first massage. My therapist was kind, knowledgeable and capable. Left feeling 10x better than when I entered.

My friend and I came in for our birthday celebration and did the royal treatment. Which included a body treatment scrub,facial and massage.Kristi S did my facial and scrub. She was an absolute delight. I really enjoyed our conversations and she was very knowledgeable about what she was doing. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a body scrub my face felt so amazing after the facial. If my experience ended there I would have left such a happy customer. Highly recommend Kristi.As for the massage it was the complete opposite experience. Ali did my massage. And it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. She seemed angry like she didn’t even want to be there just to start. And massage felt abrupt. Jarring. And at points painful. I asked for an all over relaxing massage. And said I had a little lower back pain. It was just an aggressive massage. My body was being shaken all over the table, multiple times she dug her knuckles over the tops of my feet and hands on the bones. On my shoulder and back it was the same thing lots of knuckles repetitively dug in the same spot to the point I should have asked her to stop but thought there’s no what this can go any longer. Even the way she entered the massage was abrupt.Honestly I felt stuck in a sense of fight or flight not sure what was coming next the whole time.When it was over and I went out of the room she was no where in sight so I got myself some water and when she came back she was to busy carrying bedding and flipping the bed. Like she couldn’t be rid of me faster.I like a deep tissue massage. And this was not that even if I had asked for that. My low back felt bruised the next few days and felt worse than I went in.

I got my first massage ever here yesterday with Keith, and the experience was wonderful and very relaxing. I was a little nervous leading up to it only because I wasnt sure exactly what to expect, but he did a wonderful job explaining the process to me & I felt comfortable and respected the entire time. (My mom sees him regularly, and she was right in saying hes absolutely awesome.) Also the front desk ladies were so incredibly kind and helpful. I also used to tan here when I was a teenager (before moving out of town; I just recently returned) and I always loved the atmosphere of this place. Very zen and friendly!

Nice place, but the workers made me feel really judged. The one girl kept on giggling and snickering while pointing towards me and the others were giving me funny looks. The building is nice and comfortable but I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. I’m still giving it 2 stars because my spray tan did come out nicely.

We have been here and had a great experience last year, but won’t ever go back or refer this place to anyone after my most recent visit.My husband booked us a couples massage since I’ve been stressing lately about life as a new mom.We went in recently for a couples massage. The one girl kept giggling (lightly audible), no worries… I get it, they get bored… Then the other girl tripped or something against the wall and they both hysterically laughed as she said “I’m stuck” which she obviously wasn’t , because she got right back up without assistance, and continued the massage. I asked “are you ok?” and she didn’t respond to me. I tried to stay relaxed, but it was over at that point, about halfway through our time, because they kept laughing loudly through the rest of the massage multiple times.The one day we had away from daily responsibilities, we wanted to relax and it was ruined by two totally unprofessional massage therapists.I did not want to cause a scene upon checkout because I would have totally lost it after that experience and there were 2 other people in the lobby. It took me a while to write this review in the nicest possible way…Also, it has been in the 30-40’s for a month now, why is the fan on in the room? It was so cold…

Went back to give it another try and was very impressed by the service this time. My massage therapist did an excellent job and listened to what I wanted. I was very happy with his technique and am planning to request him in the future.I had a massage last week and have never been more disappointed with the experience. If someone had explained their mask requirements ahead of time I would have simply waited to schedule one. Even the masseuse did not explain their limited services or requirements until she was starting. Then she applied way more pressure than Id asked for and instead of a relaxing massage I had 4 days of back and shoulder pain. Ive been getting massages here for years and usually have a wonderful experience but definitely not this time.

Well very disappointed 😞 we never had a massage so me and my future husband it was a surprise for him so are apt was for 4 a couples massage well we were running 15 min late had to feel out paper work like at a doctors apt so that took time so it comes down to we got a 15 minute massage at 4 15 what happened to the rest of our time ? it was a hour massage so disappointing allso they take your debit card and told me that if we didnt show up we would be charged for the whole price 225 theres no prices on the website intill you get there so I had no ideal.of pricing but for a 15 minute massage way to much but postive side was the massage man did a great job but that was the only good part about itSo DISAPPOINTING

I have been coming to the body bar McKnight for about 2 years now and have always had an amazing experience! The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. I see Kristi for spray tanning and have never been dissatisfied! It is by far the most natural spray tan Ive ever had! Never orange or streaky! I am a hair stylist and I receive so many compliments from clients on how real my tan looks. If I take proper care of my spray tan (moisturizing after every shower) it will last me anywhere from one in a half to two weeks, two weeks no problem in the summer! The staff also gives you a follow up sheet after your tan so you can remember what to do which is very helpful. I would recommend the body bar to anyone who is looking for an amazing spray tan thats natural and lasts!

I had a really great experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tanning price is crazy cheap for a really high quality bed. Its a very clean and calming environment. As soon as you walk in the door you can almost feel stress and tension melt away. I will definitely be back!!

Always friendly service! The microderm facials are amazing. Just tried airbrush tanning the first time today and I noticed a HUGE color difference not only while I was there but after my 15 minute drive home 😍. Im porcelain pale. The tech- Kristie- was amazing, made me feel comfortable and was very sociable. Loved my visit to Body Bar once again! THE best place in town for the services they provide by far!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 😄🤗

I got my first spray tan today! I was a bit nervous. I really didnt know what to expect. The woman who did my spray tan made me feel right at home. She was very easy to talk to and she answered any questions I had. They were very professional. I am definitely coming back to try out the other services they have. I would absolutely recommend them to friends.

Worst experience! Last week was our first visit & well never go back. I am pregnant (early 2nd trimester), have been feeling great, & was excited to get a massage. My doctor has not given me any restrictions, I was told I can get a massage, but to avoid massaging the belly & adjust if uncomfortable. I noted I was pregnant on the questionnaire & how far along. When we were taken back, there were signs to let the therapist know if you were injured or pregnant (obviously) & I was going to do so to ensure I could talk to the massage therapist about what I was comfortable with. She never gave me a chance. She came in huffing & furious. She wouldnt even look at me when she told me how the massage would go. I was so taken aback by her tone & anger that I couldnt speak. When she came back begin the massage, she kept making heavy sighing noises. It made me very uncomfortable, so much to the point that I almost asked her to stop the massage. Then she told me that I was lucky that she was certified in prenatal massage & I should have told her. I had filled out the form & was going to discuss it with her, but she never gave me a chance! She continued to huff & puff & heavy sigh as the massage went on (my husband later told me he almost said something because it made everything so uncomfortable).Then, when she had me roll over, I was on my belly for about 2 seconds & she yelled at me that I was going to hurt my baby. I was shocked, & it made me so upset & uncomfortable I didnt know what to do. First of all, a quick, light roll on the stomach will NOT hurt the baby. I have spoken with my doctors and researched. If comfortable women can even sleep on their stomachs. it did, many pregnant women wouldnt be able to sleep for fear of accidentally rolling on their stomach in their sleep. Doctors should be giving medical advice, not massage therapists. At that point, I actually started crying - during a massage, which is supposed to be relaxing! I was embarrassed & didnt want her to know, so I tried to brush away the tears quickly before they fell. Eventually she asked me if my belly was ok and was a little nicer for the last 10 minutes. After the massage was over & they waited for us to change, I was struggling to hold back the tears, she had upset me so much & made me so uncomfortable. Then they were awkwardly waiting around outside, clearly waiting for their tip (we did not know it was cash only tips until we paid). Secondly, it should have been $59 each, but we ended up paying almost $180 for the two of us. When we scheduled over the phone, they told us it would be $59 each and offered to have us do a couples massage & it would be the same price. We were surprised when she told us the total was $170+, but at that point we had had such a negative experience, all we wanted to do was get out of there. The first thing my husband said when we walked out the doors was ,they have no tact, I never want to step foot in this place again. I wholeheartedly agreed. I understand they are worried about liability, there is nothing wrong with that. But if they want to know things prior to booking, they should ask about injuries & pregnancy when appointments are scheduled. Given that I have no restrictions, I was told I could get a regular massage, & it is my first pregnancy, I did not think to tell them until we arrived & no one asked when we scheduled. I followed procedure, answered the questions on the form & was ready to talk to the massage therapist about it. It wouldve been fine had they said they wanted another massage therapist to do it because they were worried about liability or I had to reschedule. If that had happened, I would have wished they asked on the phone, but wouldve understood. Or, I wouldve been happy to sit backwards on a chair & get a back rub instead of a full massage if they were worried! Or even a shorter massage. There was absolutely NO need for that kind of treatment, & we were charged more than we were supposed to be, making it worse. We will never return and do not recommend it to anyone.

Me and my wife have done 2 couples massages there. The mood is perfect! Low light, heated tables, incense and spa music.Being a man, I want and need more pressure for my massage, and they give it to ya. I think they know men need more pressure. They do a good job asking what areas you want them to focus on or what to stay away from.Clean and sanitary! Wonderful place to zone out and treat yourself!

I started tanning with the Body Bar a few months ago! I can tell you I haven’t been this tan since I went to Aruba a few years ago!! This place is the best one stop shop, gym, tan, waxing, etc. I promise if you’re looking for something to relax and revitalize yourself stop by Body Bar and have one of the talented associates assess your skin type and get that massage you’ve been wanting! It’s worth every penny! Speaking of money, they’re so affordable on packages and memberships.

Both places, McKnight and Cranberry have a hard time keeping massage appts. Out of my last five massages, three times they were cancelled and one was cancelled twice. Ive gone there for years, but this morning my appt was cancelled two hours before it was supposed to start. Body Bar is not dependable anymore. Sure people get sick but they need back up massage therapists for these constant cancellations.

We dont frequently get massages but my wife and I have been here twice for couples massage. Everyone has been nice and responsive to our requests. Weve encountered other customers who say they go here all the time and they seem very satisfied as well.We first came here simply because it was close to where we lived at the time. It now takes us a half hour to drive here, but we find it comfortable and accommodating so we just make a day of it. Get a massage, drive down McKnight to grab a bite, maybe catch a movie. All is well with the world.

Massage service: The atmosphere is great and relaxing, but they heard you like cattle. If you pay for an hour, you dont get the whole hour, the changing time is part of that and he washed his hands in my room before and after. I dont mind that part, but I dont want it to be considered part of my hour. The massage was terrible, I get them frequently and it was just not good... at all. He seemed very inexperienced and was kind of all over the place. Also, I dont have hang ups about being naked, I know some people are far more sensitive to that stuff, but the draping and tucking was just too much. I want a full body massage, not my legs from the knee down. I dont want to lay on a table naked, but come on. I honestly felt like there was more time spent between the changing, the hand washing and the tucking of sheet and blanket than there was massage. I wont go back.

The girl who gave me my massage seemed nice. BUT, the walls arent sound proof. I didnt hear the entirety of the conversation. But, I heard laughing and I dont even want to be here. Not to mention I heard her give out a big yawn about 3 times. She didnt focus on the areas requested. There was extremely little to no pressure. It was a gift cert. For an intro special. And that was VERY clear. Curious what their return rate is? I found it odd they didnt specifically ask what type of massage I wanted? Deep tissue, hot stone, sports, etc. They also didnt ask me if I prefer a male or female masseuse which Ive always been asked at other spas. I was disappointed and glad this was a gift and I didnt have to pay minus 20% gratuity despite my experience I believe in karma. I was regularly going there every month to have my eye brows waxed, until I received negative feedback and attitude on the way I wanted them waxed and have always had them waxed and havent returned since. (This was from a girl who didnt normally wax my eyebrows) After this experience I surely will not be returning for ANY service. Save your money. You can get the same services done at cheaper or comparable prices down the street, without the attitude.

Love training clients at this gym. All the equipment you need, no waiting to use equipment, great amenities, clean gym. Great value for a low price with no hidden costs or fees. It’s also a bonus to be able to directly refer my clients to massage for soft tissue work and imbalance correction.

I received a facial from Kristi yesterday. I feel absolutely amazing! She was very educational and really knew all about her services and products! She was also so sweet!I will be seeing her monthly from now on 👍

Have been working out 2-3 times per week for at least 5 years. Always good experience. Helpful, positive staff always friendly. Gym is clean and well taken care of. Restroom, lockers and showers well maintained.

I made an appointment for a consult regarding services offered for smoothing the skin. The woman I met with talked me into a product instead , which cost me $80. After trying the product for a week or two I decided it wasn’t going to do what I wanted it to do. I called to speak with the woman who waited on me. I told her I would rather use the $80 toward a service which was my original plan. She told me I could not do that but would check with her manager and call me back. I never received a callback. A very disappointing experience.Funny how they don’t respond to ALL negative posts on this thread. You’d think a manager would have commented here.

My husband treated me to a message for my birthday. I was looking forward to it. I have had messages there before. Was disappointed. The gal who gave me my message must of not liked to work on bigger people. She hardly worked on my legs or arms and shoulders.She didnt even tell me her name.tDont think Ill be going back. Will find somewhere else.

I have been a loyal Body Bar customer (both locations) over the years. Having utilized every service the company has to offer and I can truly say they are the best across the board! The prices are great, the services are high quality, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly! I would highly recommend!

Wonderful variety of services offered here. Come here for a total transformation of the body whether it be by fitness through one of the amazing classes or detoxing with a massage, facial, or other beauty service. Knowledgeable staff, clean facilities, great locations.

I never liked the massages since the Chinese places are so cheap and no appt needed . However I use the workout area and the problem I have is poor hoursThey close Sundays, close early Saturdays and 8 pm weekdays. Thats ridiculous .Fitness should be every day and without so many hourly restrictions

I have been there twice , one for massage and one for sugar scrub. People are nice and friendly there. Will go back on special occasion. A bit pricy though.

Love the services and employees are great. Just think you should be able to leave a tip using their credit card machine and not have to use the atm which charged me an extra $6.
