Cruze Bar

Extremely rude and horrible service. Do not use the coat check. My friend and I went here tonight and as soon as we walked in a man greeted us by saying when are you going to get off your phones and when are you going to stop moving so much? But we ended up having a decent time and forgetting about the employees. At the end of the night my friend and I went to the coat check to get my coat and no one was around. My friend walked in the closet and looked to see if anyone was there when a man came storming in from behind us, pushed us back, and said this isnt a serve yourself! Then he would not give me my jacket. It was the same man that had taken my jacket earlier and did not give me any sort of ticket, and had clearly recognized me from earlier in the night. I had never been here before so I wasnt sure how the system works, but at the end of the night the man insulted me, and told me I had to wait a half hour until he would give my jacket to me (which meant I wouldnt make my bus or be able to go home). I left without my jacket and had to walk home in the chilly weather while wearing a small dress. Absolutely terrible service here, never been more disrespected in my life. The actual dancing is fun and the DJ was good, but the employees need to learn some customer service skills.

NOT A GAY BAR DESPITE THE FLAGS AND THE FLYERS. THEY ARE LIARS.Honestly a horrible experience. My girlfriend and I went there and when we were walking in we saw some people we saw at pride leave, which was weird and should have been a red flag. We walked in and they asked if we were from pride which we were, so we got a discount 15 dollars a person. Drinks were cheap, but tasted cheap too.It was filled with bad EDM music on the patio and the dance floor. Set up is nice.Oh, also, it smelled like weed the entire time and people were vaping inside. A baaaad experience. My girlfriend and I left after about 30 minutes. Would not recommend and wouldnt want anyone else to waste their money thinking this is a gay bar. There were also straight men there, which whatever, but they were hitting on lesbians and making fun of gay people and how they were dressed. Awful awful awful!

I went to this bar for my son for college night. As far as I can state it was full of young college girls and a few college guys. Basically, it was a bunch of kids in a bar dancing and having a good time. However, being a mother, I just was not having a good time watching kids my kids age, acting the way they were. The bar setup and dance floor are nicely put together, I felt it a little pricey on the drinks. Also, as far as the drinks go, I felt they were watered down. After almost 4 mixed drinks, I really was not feeling anything and my husband even requested better liquor over the house liquor!

Great place, great staff! My friends and I always like to head here on the weekends. They always have a theme or some kind of party or college night. You can always get drinks quickly. I am so upset that they are closing soon! I would definitely recommend visiting this place before it is gone.

Pretty sweet. Drinks and cover charge was expensive. 4.50 for a beer 20 to enter. I’m not gay but the atmosphere was awesome. A lot of hot girls. Chill vibes. Great EDM.

Not worth the money or time at all, I had fun with my friend and the moment we both got very tired and just needed to step away from everyone real quick, I wasnt allowed back in because I wasnt over 21 in which Im 20, the reason they told me was because since Im under 21 I have to pay again to come back in and all we did was step outside for 10mins. Its very rude how they have there establishment set up. Its very unbelievable they try to suck up all the money they can from everyone under 21, I would not be going back again because I dont like getting ripped off.

Shocking .., a cover charge really ?? $10 !! for what ?? The bouncer searched us for what Im not Im not sure cash only .,. Bottom floor ... empty ... top floor music was terrible and when it was closing time the guy behind the bar said Get out and was yelling at some poor guy and screamed at the rest of the patrons the music had only just stopped !! If you cant be a polite host then dont work there ... SIMPLE !!I was appalled and shocked at the treatment from managment not a nice environment for the gay community this place already has a bad reputation time for some serious changes !!

Love the new owners! The events are always packed, Plus every Tuesday The Dollz of the District perform their hearts out. Perfect place to go on every night of the week! Plus my Favorite Bartender is Steve aka Lady Rose Amore.

Came here after Pride. Google description says gay bar; there are gay flags, one would assume gay bar. And hey, gay bar, gay festival, thought itd be fun. They charged a 30 dollar cover fee for 2 people, and that was the pride price. We wasted that money because we ended up leaving. We thought it was weird we saw other lgbt ppl walking out (before we left), but then we learned why. It was a straight white boy with a roofies fantasy. There were horrible EDM DJs, Hoards of straight men in khakis surrounding poor lesbians, and the gays that stayed all went to the back patio to get away from it. I feel most stayed because of the ridiculous cover fee. Never going back there again. It was honestly a disgusting experience.

Dj on Thursdays doesnt play good music imo, some of the employees are snobbish for no reason. The man at the door is nice but some of the other staff just seem miserable. Open stage was okay, karaoke night had a miserable dj who openly mocked people singing. My gay friend says its the worse gay bar in Pittsburgh. Honestly youre better off looking into places in shadyside if you want good music and staff that are polite.

If there was an option for zero i would not hesitate to press that instead! HORRIBLE customer service! The security guys and door person was rude and racist...they payed close attention to me and my friends, following us everywhere and tried to embarrass us by kicking us out the minute my friend asked me to hold her drink while she get her phone! the guys were so mean and dramatized the entire situation. IM NEVER GOING BACK!!!! Save your money.

I come here a lot, usually on the weekends. I went tonight (Thursday) with my girlfriends only to be bullied and talked down on by the bouncers and the coat rackers. I was told I couldnt keep my satchel on me even tho I let them search it top to bottom. When I asked to grab my friends wallet out of it I was told it was ridiculous that I didnt hold it on me.... Well if I could hold on to my bag that wouldnt be an issue. The bouncer literally told me hed have his eye on me ( not in a good way either!) never coming back again. Rude staff!!!! Lame 👎👎👎👎

By far the most pretentious bar in Pittsburgh. And the lecherous, old, fat white haired troll running the door is the first sign of a bad time. The people at the strip club diagonal to this bar are much nicer. This place is over-priced, and not worth the visit.

Cruze is a trendy bar with an okay atmosphere. The music scene here is largely EDM, and the cover fee is pretty expensive ($25 when I went). Theyre very inclusive and theres a lot of people expressing themselves and having fun here. No food here, just two bars and a dance floor.

Its a nice bar, the bar tenders are really nice. The only bad thing is the floor is a chipped. But other its pretty clean inside.went to the foam party and it did not start on time at all.

Its one of the better gay bars in the area. Wide variety of events. Decent selection of alcohol. College nights, if thats your thing. If youre looking for the gay dance bar, youve found it.

Cruze is really the only gay club in the city. Its a big space with decent bars and the staff are friendly. Theyre usually charging a cover though on the weekend which can be a drag.

No judgment atmosphere, drinks, Im sure they always have what Im in the mood for.DJ, live show, just a great time altogether.

All around, terrible. Extremely rude staff. Hung up on me after cursing at me for asking simple polite questions. Also claimed to be the owner, I doubt an owner would be so rude! Dont waste your time. Go somewhere else!

Good music, drinks are good, great environment, BUT THIS IS NOT A GAY BAR ON THURSDAYS.
