Diesel Club Lounge

Have only been here for concerts.After seeing numerous bands here can say the sound quality is good & nice size stage for bands for a venue of this size. The main floor in front of stage is small compared to other local venues such as The Rex Theater & Mr Smalls that host bands and they advertise/promote upcoming shows/bands - more on that later. There are two side areas on main floor that are separated by railing with seating area. The upper level is nice to watch bands & for those wanting to stay away from mosh pit on main floor. To get access to upper level you need to be 21+ however. Bar is open during shows. Overall venue is fairly clean & nice place to watch bands.Have noticed this venue does not advertise most of the bands/shows that i normally attend here on their website calendar or other social media which has been frustrating. Youll need to know band tour schedules from another source to know if they are playing here. Other local venues like ones mentioned above & others that are much smaller like The Smiling Moose & Black Forge Coffee House actively promote shows via multiple social media accounts & their websites. Hopefully this lack of promotion will change in the future.

I went to the night club on New Year’s Eve 2018 on a “open bar” ticket. Many things went horribly wrong. The worst was that my Columbia jacket (worth $160) was STOLEN from the coat room. I never got the jacket returned, and club management took no action to figure out who stole the coats. The club promised to give me a free night to make up for the fact that their coat room staff had failed to protect our jackets (may I mention, it was less than 10 degrees with wind chill). When I reached out to receive this night, I was ignored by the club manager. I also never received my money back that I paid to check my coat, or money back that I paid for the tickets that night.Additionally, the bartenders stopped serving after midnight. The place was very sticky/gross and there was hardly any room allotted for general admission people to dance/hang.This night was the most disappointing way that I could have chosen to celebrate New Year’s. I would never recommend attending this club because of how disrespectful the other attendees and the management treated me.

It was a nice venue, but they definitely oversold the show. They were also charging for water downstairs while offering it for free upstairs. The staff was all very kind and polite, though. Just wish they had taken into account how large the venue actually is before overbooking.

Good DJ and sound system, prices were typical for Carson St., we had fun. For some reason getting our bottle service was a fiasco that took longer than it should have. They seemed very unorganized. Security were your typical former high school bullies that like to show you how great they were. Grabbed my buddy by the neck for walking out at closing time with an unopened Red Bull he paid for with our bottle service. When I asked what he did, the guy looked at me and said hes carrying out a Red Bull! in a tone of voice youd associate with him nabbing a member of ISIS. Lame.

I enjoyed my time at diesel due to being able to get some good dancing in and the venue is nice. The music could of been better due to there was too much jumping up & down head banging music. Also, I was charged a tip on my debit card from a waitress without my consent learned this once I checked my balance. That IS VERY wrong and I am very upset about this matter. So, to anyone who goes there take cash only if you do not want unauthorized Charges!!!!

My friends and I planned a trip to Pittsburgh to come here from all the good reviews. I haven’t been here since I was younger. My friends were denied to get in because their jeans.... They had ripped jeans with jean material behind them so no skin showing at all. I get club dress code but ripped with patches with no skin showing.... come on. Very disappointed. Plus the jeans were designer. We ended up having a better time at our house anyway. If I could rate this a zero I would.

It just seems like a seriously overcrowded venue. People pushing and shoving just to get through the back of the room. Larger concerts or festivals made a big mistake using this place for a venue.The place itself is really nice with good security, but it was just a hassle not having VIP access to the top floor just to get away from the overcrowded dance floor, you could hardly breathe.

Worst venue/night club in the city. No proper security checks. In fact the in house security will throw you out for anything. Untrained poor bar tenders who are judgemental, rude, cannot measure alcohol content and treat you like garbage. Will never return again. Ill take my business to a proper venue in order to see an artist live.

No lack of it. Absolute worst service my friends and i have ever had. The one bartender was a tool bag with an attitude. We tried asking nicely to get his attention. Then, we had to yell to get his attention. He looked at us and turned right around. We will never be back again.

Ive been to Club Diesel twice for concerts, the first for Hawthorne Heights and the second time for RED. The first concert there werent many people there so I didnt have to worry bout crowds. But RED people were hanging over every thing. Its small, smaller than Mr.Smalls. The best thing about it though that you are RIGHT UP AGAINST the stage, no security or rails. This place isnt really a concert venue.

I always have fun when I go to Diesel but their beer is not only way over priced but I cant seem to get one that is any colder than room temperature. The last time I went there they had a major leak in the bathroom so it rained in the bathroom. They get pretty awesome artists somehow but the quality of the club is poor.

Only been once but had an amazing 21st bday here! Cheap to get in 6$ shots of grey goose were HUGE. (for me lol)The DJ played amazing songs, fun night! Cant go wrong trying it for only a 5$ cover.

I saw Gareth Emery here and the lights and sound were fantastic! Besides that, everything else was terrible.Tap water is $1 for like 6 oz (yes, really)There are holes in the floorPeople upstairs spill drinks on you all day

Took some friends from out of town here who love to dance to top 40s club stuff. Paid seven bucks each to get in. The DJ was so bad the crowd eventually bood him off stage. I do not mean plays bad songs bad. What I mean is flat out stopping the music every 10 seconds to make a shout out while also having no idea how to keep a rhythm bad. It was impossible to dance until the guy was bood off stage. after that they just put in an iPod. Im convinced this guy must have been pranking everyone because no one could be that bad on purpose.

Being refuse tap water is unacceptable, especially when your a dd. I enjoy the vibe and the dj but please respect your patrons. Door men and security was top notch. Wish I could say the same for the bartenders. Haggling to allow me to pay 2 dollars for tap water is not only shady but irresponsible. Ruined the rest of the night. Sad reality is Ive been here before and it wasnt the case in the past. Not sure why the change but felt attacked for even asking, which might be understandable if its an initiative the bartenders are required to follow putting underserved stress on them. Forcing them in under table deals that still lose the management money.

Had the best time ever there last night. Staff were very attentive, professional and the music was off the charts! Dancing fun like you cant believe!

My friend and I were told we couldnt go in because we were furries I was wearing a wolf tail and she was wearing a green tail. My tail is symbolic of my nickname wolfie and have never experienced such hate over a tail... I do not consider myself a furry and didnt know a tail should brand you as such. Never heard of such a dress code for this club. O.o The guard was rude and we simply walked away and went to tiki which was full of open minded people looking for a good time. Club Diesel was not worth our frustration and didnt wish to ruin a good night. I would rather not go to a club where people are labeled and stereotyped based on the way they dress anyway. I would not suggest this club unless you want to tolerate such treatment. There are plenty of other amazing clubs in the area anyway.

Diesel does it again!!! !0 years and still going strong! The Ja Rule show was incredible. The staff was great and the club was packed!! I have had nothing but a great time at Diesel. Keep it going for another 10 years!!!

Went here for a show. The staff is incredibly rude. Acted like they were doing us a favor to even answer a question. They dont give a crap about anyone. The band was good, as was the sound.

Went to the 10th anniversary party at Diesel to see Ja Rule. The new screen behind the stage looked incredible and really made me feel like I was in one of the best nightclubs in the world. Diesel is always the top spot in the city that brings only the best entertainment.

Bouncer grabbed me, I told them I would leave, no struggle. Grabbed me tighter and hit my head off of two walls, pinned me to the floor and strangled me. Lol. Needless to say I wont be back. Ever.UPDATE: the charge from my bar tab (that they wouldnt let me see) showed up twice on my card along with a charge for $50.00 that didnt/shouldnt have happened. Very very bad place of business

Terrible. They are blatantly rude to their customers and profile people based on race/physical appearance. Girls that work there are superficial and snobby. Shots are literally 90% sugary juice trash and the overabundance of those poor shot girls is not only annoying for the customers, but sad for them because they are getting paid next to nothing. Dress code is so stupid & ridiculous, they are clearly trying to be something they are not. If youre a customer, save your time & money and go somewhere more fun and less hostile. If youre looking for work, save yourself the trouble, you wont be getting paid.

Was here once...In my opinion this place TOTALLY tanked once it went into night club mode.Bring back Nick s Fat City...I may be old school, but where else could you see a band, dance, drink and just kick back. Ahhh the good ole days!

Loud and the floor was sticky. The atmosphere is dark and confusing they have sort of an Industrial look with haunted house chandeliers. It has an upper and lower area

Nice club, nice crowd, nice DJ and nice drinks too..Somehow one of our frnd got drunk and misbehaved and he had to leave ...so friend in need - friend indeed kinda a stuff, so we also vacated....but it is nice place to have fun nights..

Awesome night club. People can dance, drink and have a lot of fun with loud music and lights besides. Its fair to say it was one of the best club that I have been actually.

Excellent atmosphere, lighting, and sound. Service is great and drinks are reasonable. Bottle service with included private booth is also a worth while experience.

Went to up church show the security staff (Jim) was very helpful I am in a wheelchair he made sure I got in first by the stage . If I wanted to go upstairs that security would get me up there. thank Jim

Its a great club to meet up with your friends to have a few drinks and dance with till you are ready to go home with your loved one for the night its amazing I would recommend it to anyone.

Very rude and disrespectful staff especially the doormen. This place is a pile of crap. For some reason people that work there think they are better than you when they are the ones working a service job.

Went outside and tried to return the bouncer said he didn’t see us go out and said we had to pay again to enter. Never seen such a brainless and rude person ever.

I order 5 shots and was charged a 62% AUTOMATIC Gratuity by the waitstaff. $77.00 for 5 shots. This place is a joke and will not return my calls.

Good club, a little too much smoke is used all the time and usually hard to get to the bar to get a drink due to size and amount of people.

Floors are sticky, sound is muddy, then at the end of the night the floors are slippery and everyone is trashed. Hilarious for people watching.

Situated in one of the most happening place in the town. Great DJs. Good experience.

Club atmosphere. Small interior with VIP lounges and bottle service. Great lighting and DJs.

Oversold tickets at venue, and they kicked you out if you weren’t 21 after the show so you couldn’t even meet the artist.

This place was a way better part of the neighborhood when it was Nicks Fat City. I hope it resurfaces again as live music venue for the sake of live music.

Staff is incredibly rude, drinks are too expensive, and the clientele wasnt impressive. Never coming here again.
