Serenity Spa

The facility was clean and I was served in a very timely manner. I have had other massages, but this was the first deep tissue massage I have received. It was definitely a deep tissue experience almost to the point of uncomfortable, but I was expecting that and not disappointed in the massage itself. She seemed very methodical in her approach.I have three minor complaints about the experience. 1) the masseuse did not greet me or ask me any questions about what I wanted or needed. She spoke 8 words total during the entire massage. Im fine with little communication, but even for my introverted soul, this was too minimal 2) I received a gift card for this massage. I booked the massage on-line and there was no place to put in information about the gift card - I assumed it would be on the last page, but no, it went directly to charging the credit card which was a required field. When I checked out from the facility, they said I had already paid and wouldnt honor the gift card - so I have to come back if I want to use the gift card. They said there is no way to use the gift card when booking on-line - which isnt what the gift card said and 3) while I am generally a pretty decent tipper, they were a bit pushy about the tips - AND since I used a credit card - I was actually charged $1 more than I put into the tip line (it shows up as $1 for the service - which I had already paid the full amount and then the tip amount). Pushing for a tip actually resulted in me tipping less than I normally would have. Being charged an additional $1, while not a huge deal financially did put a sour taste in my mouth.

Amazing Service the masseuse was absolutely amazing. Got a gift certificate for fathers day the hot stone amazing foot scrub amazing. Idk the masseuse name wish I would have gotten it but definitely recommend this place..Only things I did not care for was at the end I left a pretty good tip on the table in the room I was in but as I was leaving the gentleman asked me if I will leave a tip for the masseuse with him. I stated I already took care of the tip and he got up to go check the room which was kind of weird because the tip was not for him so not his business what I tip for the masseuse. But other than that she was amazing

We absolutely LOVE serenity spa!! Everytime I make an appointment they always make sure my couple massage is Available!! They make it soo relaxing! My husband owns his own concrete business so you can imagine how much he needs this medium to deep tissue massage! I am a lash artist so my back and neck have a lot of stress knots! The service providers always work so hard on getting my knots out!! I will always come back here Everytime!! Thank you guys so much!! You will love it here TREAT YOURSELF!!

Was very happy with my massage until i left a $15 tip a the masseuse told me that $15 was not enough!! Refused to take my money until i gave a 30$ tip! If they have specific “tip amounts” that should really be noted on the website! Probably won’t be back.

Customer service nonexistent. I was more sore after the terribly harsh massage that I received. My muscles actually felt bruised it was so hard. Dont get me wrong I enjoy a good hard massage, but this was excessive and I wonder if the person was even licensed. I honestly do not know how this place stays open.

Have been coming here for a couple of months now and have been very impressed each time. Weve gotten the couples massage package that includes two glasses of wine and two hot stone massages for a very reasonable price. Very relaxing and thorough massage and a great deal when compared with other spas/massage locations. Will continue to come back.

Booked a last minute deep tissue couples massage and it was great. Will be back for another. The inside was peaceful and the employees are very nice and helpful.

Hot stones were too hot, service prices were not accurately displayed, The price I agreed to was changed after the sale. The operator speaks limited English but is a good massage therapist.

I had a pleasureable experience here. The prices were good for a full body massage for an hr. The person who took care of me was attentive because he asked me where I needed more attention. My upper back doesnt have tension anymore because of him. I would go back.

I have been coming here from the time they opened. The owners make sure to keep a very clean and well prepared Spa experience for each customer each time. There are many Spas in the area that are offering more than just a body massage, this is not one of those. My advice if you are a first time customer here that you do a little reading on line about the different types of massage they offer and when you arrive you will be able to receive the one that will give you the best experience. There price are very reasonable compared to others. Please keep in mind you have to talk and let them know if there are areas that you feel need more or less treatment. Also please keep in mind as with any service based business, it is customary to tip the masseuse upon on. You wouldn’t expect to go into a resort and receive this service without a gratuity. I highly recommend this business if you are looking for the ultimate spy experience.

I booked a couples massage for my girlfriend and I and it was amazing the staff was amazing the facility was beautiful. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be back very soon.

Got the couples massage package yesterday with my sister and it was an awesome experience! It was her first time getting a professional massage and she loved everything about the experience. The ladies were very nice and professional. The environment was clean and relaxing. The wine was delicious and the hot stones felt amazing. The massage was thorough and just what we needed after a long day of work! This is my second time coming here and Ive had the same great experience both times. My bf is also a frequent customer and he loves it as well!

I called last minute today to get a massage and was able to schedule a Swedish massage. I arrived and was taken back immediately. I told the therapist that I had a knee replacement less than 3 months ago and would need to be a little more gentle on that knee, however I would like some extra attention to that knee due to having pain in the leg. The massage proceeded and a lot of attention was given to the back area (a lot) and very little to the legs. I thought there would be more attention when I turned over, but NO…everything on the front side was very rushed and I can’t say there was any massage per se to my lower legs. When I ask him to focus on a certain area (pointing to the area in my lower leg), he said you told me not to do anything there and then tried to tell me it was the shoes/sandals I was wearing (they are orthotic from my podiatrist). I guess they don’t listen to what the customer needs attention on. Every massage I have had elsewhere, they always ask if there is an area that I would like focused on. I have had other massages there, and while they do generally give good massages, they seem rushed and are rough. If I come back, I want to be ask, “is there an area that is bothering you and needs more attention to”. How difficult is it to ask the customer that??***NOTE - Then they have the audacity to call me after reading this review and tell me I was lying!!! SERIOUSLY - Who does that!!!!On another note (from a different visit several months ago)While I’m here I feel I need to address the Combo Massage. Below is what the Combo Massage says on their website.Combo MassageA Combination Massage is a massage integrating more than one style or massage modality. It can combine techniques from swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, trigger point therapy and hot stone. Tell me where in this description where it says that?? I was expecting much much more and felt ripped off at that massage. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just saying!

We didnt get the wine, essential oils, or hot stones as advertised on the website, but the massage itself was amazing and cost $125 instead of the $145 listed online. If you dont want deep tissue definitely ask for the Swedish massage. My husband does physical labor and Im hunched over a desk all day on top of having fibromyalgia so we went for the deep tissue and it was probably the deepest Ive ever had, which is what we wanted. We actually had a 90 minute massage scheduled at another location today as a late Valentines gift and unfortunately one of the therapists was in the hospital so they had to cancel. Really glad Serenity could fit us in today on such short notice. Wed both recommend this place and will most likely come back for another massage in the future.

I had a 90 minute Swedish Massage here and from my experience, it was not a swedish massage at all. The massage therapist seemed in a rush from the beginning and used very quick and firm strokes when massaging. I asked for him to use lighter pressure, and he did, but I still ended up with extremely sore neck and upper back muscles for days after the massage.The atmosphere in the spa was clean, nice, and relaxing. The biggest negative I noticed during my massage was being able to hear the front door chimes every time someone came into the lobby. I could also hear any conversations in the lobby. Kinda ruined the relaxation experience.

I have been coming here for over a year and I love it. The place is beautiful and relaxing. My body glows after. 10/10

Prices are lesser than what I’m used to paying in other places. Service is so good like really good! I am definitely going to be coming here. The man did a good job and was attentive. I feel better, with some light headedness lol. But my back feels better for sure. I would be coming here again! Huge thanks to my friend for introducing me to the place!

My husband booked my mom and I a couples spa and let me say I was In heaven. The ladies were very professional and welcoming. Complimentary drinks to set the atmosphere. I was in a car accident and it’s an area on my left side that Ms. May worked out. I received a full body massage and back scrub. The scrub is amazing I had to purchase one. After she massage my back side I thought we were done. No honey, she then turned me over and massaged the front of my shoulders and arms. I booked me and my husband our next appointment before I left. Who ever said the tips were to much is crazy. I planned on tipping 15 a piece anyway. So no a 30 dollar tip was absolutely not to much. Thank you ladies we will see you soon.

Serenity was very clean, fragrant, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Prices very reasonable with a large variety of massage options available. Adam gave the best deep tissue massage ever. He spent about 90% of his time on my back and neck where I really needed therapy. I am extremely pleased.

Went to get my son a massage which the price was suppose to be $50 is what the lady confirmed on the phone. FIVE ..ZERO for swedish message. Yet my credit card says it was charged $77. They told my son he had to tip min 15$. This type of info should be communicated beforehand. So i can then decide if i wanted to tip this amount before my massage. When i called and i asked why was my card charged 62 for a massage. Now the message is $60 that is exactly why they dont have the prices on the website. So they can make up their own prices..

Birthday gift of a couples massage, it was awesome! This place was very clean and the employees were extremely professional! They had nice relaxing music/sounds playing the whole time during the massage, they did not talk to each other during the service or stop to answer phones/leave room for other customers, the ladies asked if the massage was too hard, soft, etc. It was perfect! I will definitely go back!

My husband and I had a couples massage and they did a wonderful job! Establishment is clean, staff is friendly and looks to be recently updated. We will be back again! Pricing is extremely affordable and they have a tip sheet for the ones that complained that show extremely affordable and lower then deserving tips.

I have been going to serenity for years. I get deep tissue massage all the time with Michelle. She is the best. I recommend her to anyone.

My daughter and I decided to do the couples massage so we could have a mother daughter day. I have never had a professional message before, it was an awesome experience. Might have to get a little less intense massage next time. But all in all we loved it! Definitely going back.

Theres too many Karens commenting on here. This is a nice family business who cares about customers and do an amazing job. Sweet and honest people. Ive been to different massage salons for the last 6 years and this was by far the best massage Ive ever had. And great pricing. YES you have to tip your massage therapist..! Thats what they live off of. Were going through tough times right now. All these businesses just doing the best they can and having to require their staff to wear their masks for hours at a time and you can still see the smile on their face because you chose their business... i appreciate that. Ill be back!

Definitely not licensed. Went in for foot and calf massage and just got some weird back and forth motion with lotion / oil. Zero pressure in the arch of my feet (which I requested). Limited English so she wasn’t understanding when I asked again. Won’t be back here again.

My husband & I went to this spa for a couples massage. We showed up on time, walking in there were 2 other ladies waiting... at first thought nothing of it until the manager asked myself and the other lady for our phone numbers to confirm which one of us had the 1pm appointment 🤦🏼‍♀️ We BOTH were told to come in at 1pm!! We BOTH talked to and TEXT the manager of the Spa to confirm our appointments. The other party left ( not happy either! ) & my husband and I were finally on our way to our couples massage. On my paper, I wrote VERY LIGHT for the massage type! I had to tell the gentlemen 3 times not so hard! 😒🤦🏼‍♀️Last & not least- after paying for 2 DEEP tissue massages ( that clearly I DID NOT WANT as I asked for very light) the manager tried to make me pay $30 tip!! Said that it was mandatory and its just like going to a restaurant 🤔🥴 no thank you! We will not be back!

Woke up with a sore neck and shoulder called around and found this little gem. They are very friendly and was able to see me right away even squeezed by bestie in for a massage with me!! Can’t wait for our next visit.

My wife and I get a full couples deep muscle massage here every month which includes hot rocks and salt scrub. It is wonderful! People that work there are so nice to. Highly recommend them!

The facility is nice, clean and very modern but there is a stench that permeated the place and made me nauseated. I made an appointment via phone and they did not take down my name or number, just told me what time to be there. I show up at my appointment time and there is no receptionist, only person working is in the middle of another massage. She has to stop her current massage to greet me then proceeds to tell me that she knows nothing about my appointment. I tell her I called the number on my gift card and scheduled it and she says “you called my boss not me”. So she puts me in a room and tells me to get undressed and gives me only a towel to cover myself with and it was freezing! I then wait for 30 minutes before anyone comes into my room. The massage itself was okay at best with some very unconventional things done that were both quite painful, unprofessional and frankly made me really uncomfortable. Again, being the only person working at the time my masseuse had to stop during my massage four times and leave the room to deal with other customers...very unprofessional. The masseuse herself was very nice but this was the weirdest most unprofessional massage I have ever had and I definitely will not be going back.

Good,decent place however contemplative service skills and too expensive. They had good hands-on skills to relieve tightness and muscle tension but NOT AT ALL a relaxing experience (which is what I expected at the spa) since the masseur’s phone is on loud despite requesting to keep on silent.Moreover,the receptionist is multitasking with the massage and has multiple interruptions in and outside the massage room. Also-They hand over your wine glasses, ONLY if you remember* about it,as a part of your couple spa package. Lastly-Was forced to pay more than I’d have like to give as tip too.cherry on the top :)

I bought a Groupon and had the hardest time trying to understand why I had to ask for a refund and buy it directly from Serenity Spas desk as they kept telling me???As I was asking the woman up front if I could get help she told me to sit down because she had a customer, I understand that but am I not a customer as well? I was told that they could only use one Groupon at a time then I let my mother go and I decided Id go another time and then after awhile someone came back and told me they could get a massage.I was also asked to pay a large tip because it was mandatory??? The massage was good but the customer service was not the best and was confusing at times. Wont be back

I have had the opportunity to experience the benefit of real massage therapy. From the first time coming to Serenity Spa, I have enjoyed their professionalism, knowledge and experience at deep tissue message. Jen runs a very clean, very modern, very comfortable spa. I highly recommend Serenity Spa, best in Indiana!

I just called 30 minutes ago to schedule an appointment because I had been gifted a groupon for a 60 minute massage. When I called, the lady did not make any sense and (I think) told me they don’t take Groupons anymore and to call them and get a refund. Even though on the Groupon, there is no expiration and even the promotional value doesn’t expire until the end of this month. She didn’t let me get a word in at all to ask any questions, but then proceeded to tell me she was busy and she couldn’t speak with me any longer, then hung up the phone.

Came for my birthday and it was amazing!! everyone was nice and my person who did my massage was amazing!! when u go make sure u know that hard pressure it HARD pressure

Had a bad experience with it the owner harassing for tip, owner was incredibly rude and texted my fiancés phone with incredibly inappropriate messages. My first review was removed.

Not really sure where to begain,. I called in hours before we were supposed to be there. Was asked several Time’s if we had been there before. We arrived on time and one of the girls for our couples massage wasn’t there.We were told to go ahead and go in and get ready. Again asked several times if we had been there before. later one of the girls came in and apologized, that the other one is late.She asked who would be first. I said my husband. She started working on him.5-10 min later the other massage therapist arrived.Not really sure what to say about the massage. Best I have ever received but inappropriate. I really just don’t know. I was shocked. Couldn’t talk,. Then when they let us know it was over with,. My husband and I sat up and was like WTH Not sure if any or all ethics were crossed. Really not cool,. Shocked, embarrassed. Then when we finally got out front they asked my husband how old he was and then how old I was.I’m not going again. However my husband loved it and will go back. Go figure! Good job girls!! Not impressed!!!

Besides the walking out 4 or 5 times to get the door and whatever else was going on, it was an ok massage. When I went up to pay it was more than the price in the broucher. The lady called the owner and I told him it was our first time there and if they took the price in the broucher and the coupon it came with this time, I would pay the new higher price next time because we would come back. He didnt care and demanded I paid that higher price without the coupon. So Ill find a new place to go next time.

Booked a couples massage for 12pm on May 5th way back in March. Received a confirmation email when I booked it. We were on our way when I received another email reminding me that I had an appointment at 12pm. We get there, walk in, place looks pretty good but had a very weird smell. We heard bells go off when we walked in, but it took several minutes for someone to come up front to greet us. Woman comes up front and asks us when our appointment was and how we had booked. Showed her the confirmation email and she said “Oh, my boss didn’t tell me anything about your appointment, can you come back at 2pm”. At that point we left. She didn’t offer an apology, or offer to try and work us in. Guess I should’ve expected it from the 3 star rating.

My husband and I went for a couples massage and five days later we are both still in so much pain from the extreme pressure they used. My whole back is bruised and I have been sleeping on ice packs. They dug into our lung area and we both are miserable. Never again will I go there

Michelle is an amazing massage therapist! She did a great job with just the right amount pressure. She was very professional. I highly recommend this massage therapist to any one that needs a relaxing massage!

Ive never had a massage before so I have no real frame of reference. But Id go back here again in a heart beat. Pretty sure Ill have some bruises, but man I feel significantly less achy. Even threw in hot stones and scrub because we had to wait longer.

This was my very first massage so I’m disappointed that it was a lackluster event - the lady called me before I even arrived to tell me she’d be a few minutes late, she literally burped 2 times during the massage AND forced me to pay a tip that I didn’t want to pay. I definitely will not be back.

Buyer Beware! If you are buying a groupon as a gift for your special someone---make sure you know that it can only be used Monday-Thursday. I just called and they told me they have to make money on the weekend and save those spots for paying customers. I didnt realize buying a groupon was free? I told the woman I was not available to go during the week and the groupon DOES NOT state Mon-Thu only. She said sorry, but no spa takes Groupons on the weekend. This is simply not true as I have gone to several spas over the years with Groupons on the weekend. I will be returning this gift and finding a spa with better customer service!

My feet were hurting, so I stopped in for 1 hour foot reflexology. It was amazing, felt like a new pair of lower legs and feet when she was finished. Definitely recommend Jen and will be back.
