The NOW Massage Midtown Raleigh

Went for the first time today to NOW massage at Midtown Raleigh. My therapist was Destiny and she was amazing! Unique set up and it was a welcomed new atmosphere. I would highly recommend! Quiet, waves at the ocean music and white noise. Very relaxing. They cater to you like a vacation spa. ❤️❤️

I have been to NOW Massage Midtown twice, and both times my provider (Brittney) has been great! I have been dealing with some back pain, and she seemed knowledgeable, and was able to address my concerns. Its a very calming and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Having not had a massage or stretched my muscles in some time, this was by far one of the best experiences I had. Destiny was both attentive and responsive to my body and spent the needed time at points that she felt required the additional attention. As a licensed professional myself, I let her do what she felt was best based on our talk beforehand and everything was done exceptionally. I highly recommend both The NOW and Destiny. Having had professional massages in the past, this ranks up as one of the best ones considering I am a more stocky and muscular kind of guy that benefits from this type of massage. Will continue to go back no doubt.

Most amazing massage I’ve ever received was given by Sarah here! I love the environment they have set up. It is incredibly relaxing. I also added on the cupping which was absolutely amazing. I will be coming back whenever I’m in town! 1000/10!

Immediately welcomed by friendly staff, beautiful aesthetics and calming scents. My massage therapist was wonderful and the space was inviting. I thought the pricing was quite high, but this may be industry-wide, as I believe the price of massages has gone up in general. Id still come back!

I’ve been a monthly member for about 5 months now and I love it! Highly recommend Lydia if you’re looking for firm pressure or deep tissue work - she’s amazing and is always very communicative before and after the massage. It’s a pretty unique set up with a large room sectioned off into individual little boho tents. The vibes are very relaxing with dim lighting, crashing waves audio, and cozy fabrics. A big perk for me is that it’s a quiet experience (because of the shared space) so there’s no pressure to socialize while you relax. Last thing - the people there are so nice and always happy to help and answer questions! 🫶🏻

My therapist Akeria was awesome! I cant say enough about this experience as a first time guest. Heres the highlights...smells amazing, linen partitions and wooden doors made this place feel like a spa at resort in the Maldives. The staff is above and beyond the words of friendly!!!! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We saw returning customers coming and they sounded like family the way they talked to each other. I would easily recommend this place for a massage. They also use warming tables and if you havent had a warming table before, you have been cheated all your life. I melted into relaxation on the table with the aromatherapy at the start of the session. Go to THE NOW, its worth it!

This was the best massage experience I’ve ever had. I was in Raleigh for a basketball tournament and needed a massage on my back in order to continue playing. The staff fit me into their schedule same day and were incredibly nice from start to finish. Highly recommend. Thank you!

I’m very impressed with Now Massage. Annie is an excellent therapist and the customer service is knowledgable & outstanding! The owner (Stacy, I believe) answers the phone and is a delight to speak with. She actually said to reach out to her anytime with questions or concerns which as a member I greatly appreciated. Nowadays no one seems to care if you are satisfied or not so I really appreciated this personal touch. I also love the serenity, sounds and total vibe of the spa…it’s heavenly!

I don’t normally write reviews. I also don’t normally get massages. The place itself is so cute! The vibe is immaculate and the boho aesthetics creates an inviting and calming environment; it’s perfect for massages. This was my second massage in my life. Sarah was absolutely phenomenal. Super communicative before the session, followed through during, and very caring after! Sarah has a kindness about her that just feels safe and gentle. Thank you, Sarah for the best, most relaxing 50min of my life.

Went there for my birthday first time and nor sure if it be another one at this spa. Receptionist appeared to not be thrilled at what she does. She was not rude but seen much better customer service at other spas. The massage therapist was cali abs when I whisper to her about my day. She stated it was no talking which I never heard about in Any of encounters with other massage therapist in other spas. Not one person.even said happy birthday. Spa experience is about being serviced and just did not experience that in this particular spa. Just my two cents the massage wad OK but if u looking for the whole experience feeling suggest going elsewhere

I was totally relaxed by the end of my session…nothing but gratitude for Angel. She was excellent in how she worked through my problem areas. The atmosphere made me feel like I was on a retreat. I will definitely be back!

I came for a couples massage which was specified when booking and again the day before when they called to confirm. No one informed me they don’t actually do couples massages. They just can give us both an individual appointment at the same time. Since we found that out upon arrival, we figured we would still just get our massages and now we know for next time. I was very specific at ordering a deep tissue massage for my partner, but just a relaxation massage for myself. I have an autoimmune disease and lots of inflammation and tenderness so I did not want anything therapeutic or with too much pressure. the therapist that I was paired with gave a deep tissue massage. By 6 hours after the massage I felt bruised badly and very tender. It is now 3 days later and my upper back, neck, and chest are still extremely sore and painful. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for. I feel bad even leaving the review because she was lovely and accommodating, the space was clean and relaxing and my partner’s massage was excellent. But, this is my honest experience and it should not be this way.

Overall not bad. Excellent massage therapist. I got the stretch and scalp extras. Both were very nice. Great staff.Cons - parking sucks, very expensive, no real walls between rooms. The latter is the main reason I wont return. For a premium price, I want premium service/setup.

I am in town for work, and my amazing mentor scheduled me for a massage here. I was booked with Sierra. And all I can say is magical. I am a hairstylist, and she asked what pressure was best before starting and where to focus. And she was so thoughtful. I could tell she understood anatomy and what would benefit me. I am sad I cannot go back before I head back home.

Seldom do you find somewhere as clean, relaxing, with incredible atmosphere and staff, that you can book within the week! I opted for “The Stretch”- an 80 minute sports recovery massage. The moment I walked back into the open concept parlor, I felt like I was transported to the seaside in Mexico at dark. The sound of waves crashing as you’re having your massage creates optimal relaxation. The massage itself was so incredible I booked a membership on the spot. RALEIGH- you HAVE to check out the midtown location of the NOW massage!

Had a massage done here today and it was absolutely wonderful! When I walked into the boutique it smelled amazing. I should have bought their signature candle! The staff was extremely nice and helpful throughout my entire experience! I loved the cleanliness of this place as well. Even the bathroom was nice and clean! First visit was excellent! Derrick was professional, considerate, knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure to meet my needs while providing a great experience. I got The Now 80 minute massage with optional enhancements of deep tissue and heat therapy. I have chronic tension in my neck and shoulders that leads to building up knots in my back, and I am feeling a drastic improvement. It didnt take much (or any) convincing to sign up for a membership, so Im looking forward to my next appointment next month and trying more enhancement varieties ☺️

I was pretty skeptical to go to a chain for a massage but the setting provides the ambience I like. The pricing is a little gimmicky with the standard price being high, and ‘membership’ making it a bit more reasonable, but it has made me stick to a monthly massage so it’s worked out well.The big room with everyone in it is a little odd and makes it hard to give any feedback once you’re in there, but after 3 visits I’ve never been bothered by anyone coming or going - you really don’t hear it.All that to say the massages here are different. I don’t know how, I don’t know why, but it’s literally the best massage I’ve ever had. From resorts in Mexico to spas in Asheville, to anything in between I’ve never had a massage that has made me want to book with the masseuse again. Not that anything was wrong with them, they were just fine. Coming here was borderline life changing LOL, and every person I’ve brought with me has walked out with the same feeling - best massage ever. Selfishly, I don’t want to share who I book with so I can still find availability but Holly is fantastic.

I recently visited the NOW Massage for the first time and had the pleasure of having Derrick as my Therapist. The experience was wonderful. The overall setup of the therapy rooms is not your typical, but a pleasant surprise was the open room concept. The open area is soothing and dimly lit. Came here for my first massage! I love the vibe of this place and how quiet it is. I prefer a quiet/silent appointment and this is the perfect place for that. My massage was great, and the next day I woke up feeling FABULOUS

Great business. I go to Sarah specifically and can’t recommend her enough. She is super knowledgeable about injuries and does wonders! Literally bed ridden after a gym injury for a week and Sarah fixes me in one session! Unbelievingly talented. See her and tip well!

I love the rustic feel of this place. There is a large room separated by a tent-like structure to give you a private area. White noise plays in the room. Not great if you like to talk as its a very hush hush environment but overall a nice environment, good massage for me next day availability. Would have liked an option to add on facial or hand or foot massage but overall the massage and environment was great.

Brittany is absolutely amazing! You can tell that she knows what she is doing, she perfectly traces the exact outline of the muscles and you can feel her respond and alter her massage based off what she is feeling. It is not just a cookie cutter massage! The whole experience is great! Beautiful facility (even the bathroom is beautiful) and lovely welcoming staff! By the far the best place I’ve ever been. Have been getting deep tissue work for 10+ years and this is my new favorite spot. From the ambience, to the quality of work. Can’t say enough good things!

The first experience was marvelous.. The second experience the massage therapist was not that good.. Not sure if it makes a difference what gender gives you the massage but the deep tissue massage was much better the first time

The NOW is a clean and open-styled atmosphere. This is not the place for a massage if you are looking for quiet and relaxing from the moment you walk in. The waiting room is very modern, with a long wooden bench to sit on while waiting. It is brightly lit, and there was pop music playing. When I went, there were two young women gossiping to one another at the front desk and I could hear every part of their conversation. I asked if there was a quieter space for me to wait, and they informed me there wasnt. From the beginning, the waiting room is a lot on the senses. My massage therapist was very kind and sensitive to the fact it was overwhelming in the waiting room. I believe she tried her best to make it a calming and safe place in the open concept massage room. However, I left with the left side of my neck feeling pulled and it has been painful and stiff since.

My masseuse was Sarah U. and she did an AMAZING job! She listened to my concerns and used the perfect amount of pressure in addressing them. Hands down, the best massage I have ever received!

I always have a great experience here. I have seen Brandon and Kazia and they were both wonderful and listened to my concerns. Had an amazing massage. It was a gift from someone. When asked about the tip I told them she would call and tell them an amount to charge since it was her card linked to it and that wasn’t my place. She texted me after the massage and they charged her for a tip which she never agreed to. Don’t think I’ll ever be going there again. She would have tipped the normal 20% , if they didn’t add there own tip without her permission. Hadnt even been 20 minutes since I left. She didn’t even get a chance to tell them an amount to add which was extremely rude. She paid for the massage for me a tip is extra based on how I feel she did. Don’t waste your time going there

Not my ideal place to go for a massage. The open concept can be distracting for those wanting complete solitude. You change by your table and that was not the best experience (trying to dress/undress in silence). Make sure you confirm prices, as they vary. You don’t want to be surprised at the end! I will say that the place smells wonderful!

Went to The Now yesterday for the first time and WOW! I went in with pretty severe shoulder/neck pain from working out/stress/tech neck/all the things and at the end of the 25 minute session, Im fairly certain my shoulders were at least 3 inches lower. The facility was impeccably clean, the staff was extremely professional, and I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Will definitely be back!

The staff and ambience are both amazing. The front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. We were also able to talk with one of the owners and she was super nice. Nadia gave a great deep tissue massage and was also very friendly. Well definitely be back.

I been here a couple of times and have had different therapist as well I have always had a great experience they are very skilled at what they do I had Nadia this last time as like usually my massage was amazing! I had an 80 minute with scalp and heat therapy just amazing they don’t have a relaxation lounge but it’s super cute I love the simple decor that they have.

Not very good place for relaxation. Massage therapist didn’t know pressure points or proper technique. Me and my wife feel the same. Even after telling my concern about my back stiffness and muscle pain massage was not given for that body part. I wasted my money!

Staff was all very friendly and my friend and I really enjoyed our massages. Super relaxing, definitely will be back!

Breanna was my massage therapist and she was fantastic . . . gentle yet strong! I bought one of their membership packages and will be going back monthly to see Breanna! You should check it out!

I was not satisfied with the massage and also I have asked for 25 mins massage + scalp renewal paying extra $10 but I get over all 20 mins massage and also when they doing they didnt even remove my hair band/hair tie ... without removing hair tie I was wondering how I the scap massage they gonna give and I was feeling uncomfortable in my scalp massage and I removed hair tie then they started doing massage ... me and my husband paid $150 but we didnt even feel 5% satisfaction for that money..
