Was there to see saosin, parking garage right across the street was great! Getting in the door was smooth and easy. the uper balcony was a great place to chill while waiting for the show to start. Making our way down to the tierd and divided main floor was a breeze. The divider was great and kept the pit up front fron crashing into those of us that just wanted to stand. Sound and lighting were on point the whole show!
One of my favorite venues in Raleigh. Find a good band to go to and enjoy. Walk right up front and get close to the band to make eye contact. You can really feel the music and the vibe. Easy to step back get a beer take a pee and then get right back into the mix again. Acoustics are great and atmosphere just kills it. Id much rather go to an event you like this then go to areas like a PNC arena where the acoustics absolutely suck unless you are on the ground floor in a general mission or a pit scenario.
Terrific venue. Just the right size. And the staggered levels is such a great benefit, especially if there are short people in your group. Acoustics were mostly great. Sound team seemed to allow WAY too much reverb consistently for show we went to. But main act overcame that. Make sure to eat before you come. Staff was friendly and bar setup is nice. Stools around several parts of the venue were a nice touch for those who can’t stand the whole time (like me). Will definitely go again. Parking is plentiful nearby.
Terrific venue! My first time visiting & we saw Hermanos Gutierrez in general admission. Theres really not a bad seat in the house. If you dont want to stand, you might want to upgrade to the balcony. They have a bar with plenty of options, including NA options (which is great if you are the DD).Well be checking out their lineup for other upcoming events.
Overall, good venue. I really enjoy all of the different spots you can choose from to watch a show. Not sure if this is always the case, but positioning merch booths at the entrance/exist makes things a little tight, though I understand that this is probably due to an overall lack of space. Loved that parking was convenient. However, I DID NOT love how terrible the outside of this venue smelled. This may be a non-issue to some, but its very unpleasant when waiting outside before doors.
Great place for smaller DJs!! Saw Bear Grillz there (dubstep artist) and loved it! Small enough to be intimate, but still large enough to have quite a few people. Sound system was great, the bass drops rattled your body!! Staff was friendly, had plenty of drink options, vending machine, and even got to talk to the artists after the show. Amazing first concert experience and if you’re into bassy music like me, this is a great place to go!
A nice little concert hall with an upstairs balcony that gives you a great view of the stage if you can find a space up there. The two times I’ve been to the Lincoln there were plenty of servers, drink lines were short and moved quick. And there’s plenty of bars/restaurants nearby for food/drinks before/after the show.
I love seeing shows at the Lincoln. I always have a great time. I did like it better when the sections in the middle were general admission instead of an upcharge for tickets. Sometimes I dont want to be down in the pit. In the middle elevated sections I can see everything and have a perfect sound mix without being pushed around. Other than that this is a great place with great memories. The Band Of Heathens...great as always!
Being from Austin, TX, I have been spoiled with getting to see my favorite artists at small venues where it feels more intimate and you can actually get close to the stage. This venue reminded me of some of my favorite venues in ATX. The show was great and we had a lot of fun! Will definitely be back! 🎶❤️
Small intimate venue with generally good acoustics, reasonable beer prices and a combo of seats, small tables and standing room closer to the stage. Excellent for this type of music (bluegrass & acoustic). Been here before for louder shows and the acoustics do suffer somewhat. Balcony seating as well.
Always a great place to see live music because the music is what its all about! The secret is definitely out about this funky little place so buy your tickets early and go as often as possible!
The Lincoln is always a great place for concerts. Sound is terrific and certainly one of the best venues in Raleigh. Parking is free across the street after 7 which is super convenient in public parking deck. The Lincoln has a free in and out policy which is also amazing. The only drawback to me is that it can get super crowded for some shows as they are GA. There is also a lack of seating but the shows are so awesome you dont want to sit. Easy access to bathroom and bar. Overall, a definite 5 star venue.
Great venue to see a band! Standing only downstairs, stools and a few tables upstairs. Intimate. Enjoyable.
I love this venue! It’s really small and intimate and always has a great crowd. I will say that it gets really crowded in there, though. Sometimes it’s hard to find the room to dance, but I like to take up a lot of space. There’s one bar in the front, and bathrooms are up front as well.I see EDM shows here and always enjoy the intimacy of the small venue and the energy of the crowd.
Awesome venue to see live music. Drinks are reasonably priced. Parking lot or free garage across street.
There wasn’t any water, no barricade staff, generally disorganized:( all the staff i spoke to were really nice but a fight broke out in the pit and my friend had her toe broken and we could NOT find or get help from security! group of girls at barricade were being very inappropriate, shoving, pushing others, refusing to share water that the OPENING BAND had to supply, and holding signs so no one else could see. venue did nothing which I assume has to do with it being an individual venue:( upsetting because i love lincoln theatre and the fact it’s independent!! go to pour house instead or an independent venue!!
I’ve lived in Raleigh almost ten years and finally just attended my first show at Lincoln Theatre. It’s an awesome standing room only venue. Staff was good and the space itself felt open and clean.
I was able to see Scarface my favorite there last Saturday..surprisingly for a small venue,I was quite impressed, the staff was super friendly from the security to the bar staff..as crowed as it was it was easy to maneuver about to and from the rest room and bar area..paid parking is right next to the building, so it was no long walk..I had a very pleasant experience at the Lincoln theatre..two thumbs up...And Scarface jammed!!!!!
Saw some up close intimate concerts by the greats here. Best venue. Great staff. Step up local advertiment. Love the venue.
Two level venue that is mostly standing room only. There are bar stools on second level. POSITIVES This venue is concerned about overall health and wellness by asking patrons to either have a vaccination or covid free test within 72 hours of event. The gentleman at the door checking covid, doing security checks, and scanning tickets are BEYOND friendly and personable to everyone. However I feel the health stops here. The venue needs a serious deep cleaning. The ceilings and air system appears to be capped with dirt and dust. If there is an emergency we all will likely not get through the door due to the loads of products sitting at the main door. All this money companies got from the government and they clearly dont use it. The monies given is public information. To no avail, you wont get even tipsy on the water down drinks so save your money and drink from the car. Take some pride in your establishment. The only food is a half filled snack machine BUT they will allow you to bring in prepared food. 😉The sound system was pretty good and a clear eye to the stage. With akttle tender love and care, this venue could thrive.
Small club. Great place for an intimate show! There is a dance floor that takes up about half the room, then there are two tiered areas, both of which provide great views. There is also an upstairs balcony but it was closed when we went there for the show. Seating is extremely limited. In fact, dont plan on sitting...Its a bare-bones place, dont expect to much from the amenities and you wont be disappointed.Ill definitely go back for more shows.
Great venue, crisp sound, short lines at bar, parking right across the street! Who could ask for anything more? Maybe the best venue in Raleigh!
We went to see Charley Crockett at the Lincoln Theater and had the best time EVER! From the time we walked in the door everyone we came in contact with, staff and patrons, were the greatest people. We took our 8 year old to the show and it was the perfect atmosphere for all of us to have a good time. We loved that the Lincoln Theater offers that intimate feeling of seeing a band up close and personal. Tickets were extremely affordable, which is a nice surprise. We will keep our eyes open for more concerts and be back again. Fyi Charley Crockett and Ester Rose were were AMAZING to see in concert. We had an all around wonderful time!!
My brother and I went to a concert. Its very small, but it made for an intimate show. We sat in the balcony and didnt feel too far away from the stage. There were rows of seats on the main floor. I dont know if they are always there or if they were arranged for the concert. It was easy to find, and the parking deck next door was free after a certain time.
Always an enjoyable time great venue and the staff are very pleasant
Super cool venue. Great sound system and always great sounding bands. I feel that the beer is a little pricy, with regular domestics being $7 and something like a Blue Moon running $9. But I guess thats just the way it is everywhere now. Cant really fault them for that. Overall, it was a great experience, and Ill be planning on making my way out there to catch more great acts.
Nice little spot for a concert. Balcony seating is perpendicular to the stage so its a little hard to see around the people in front of you unless you stick your neck out and then the people behind you have to stick or even further. But the extra bathrooms and bar were worth the extra balcony cost for the show I saw.
One star for the sound and one star for the staff, but whoever owns this place is basically a slum lord. Take some pride in your establishment, place is a total dump.
Best venue in Raleigh to see up and coming bands and live music in an approachable setting, with excellent staff, and all that jazz. Great dance floor in front of the stage. Shows are worth every penny!
Great venue to get an intimate show with your favorite bands!
I love this place. It is definitely one of my favorite places ever to see a show. I do agree with some other reviewers that since they have shut off the middle sections, it is not as great and doesnt have the same wonderful flow it used to where you can always get comfortable. especially when they close down the upstairs and restrict the middle sections, it doesnt give you a lot of options and hard for my friend who is mobility challenged to find an okay spot. I think if they shut the upstairs, then the whole place should be general admission, especially once the college kids are back in town and the shoving often begins. it is a great place though and I do love it.
The Lincoln Theater could be a setting from Blade Runner. The use of the space is wild for a great show!
One of my absolute favorite music venues to see big name and local acts!
Went here to see Stephen Sanchez. The facility was small and intimate, but big enough that you didnt feel like a sardine. Seating upstairs and standing room down. And Stephen Sanchez puts on an AMAZING show btw.
This is a great place to see bands. Friendly staff, easy parking, reasonable drink prices. Great views from virtually anywhere in the place. I mean what else can you ask for.
I town for a few days and caught a show here, and it didn’t disappoint. Perfect little spot that can house great bands with an intimate feel. Loved the retro vibe, but it welcomes all ages, with reasonable pricing.
Eric is incredible at his job, Bailey really helped too. I could go on about all the best shows I’ve ever seen at this venue, but the important thing is how great the staff is, best Venue in our beautiful research triangle, my favorite venue of all time, and I’ve seen a few. Forever in debt to the Lincoln Theater.
This is a fantastic venue for bands. Great sound, great lights, good viewing angles. There are two levels so if you like a balcony view, this place has a great one. Plenty of parking, though it is mostly in a parking deck. Now that they are collaborating with Cats Cradle in Chapel Hill for booking, theyve even been getting great niche national acts. Very highly recommended!
Have been wanting to catch a performance here for some time and finally had an opportunity last night. Saw Joseph Terrell and Chatham County Line and felt inclined to leave a review for anyone who has not been to a show here before. The venue itself was very clean, which surprised me for some reason, and the building seems to be well maintained. The staff here are very professional/friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced for a concert venue (e.g. $10 for a 16oz. can of craft beer, $6 for a PBR). GA tickets get you right up front and the all-ages crowd felt like we were all there together to have a good time. I was worried that I had forgotten my ear plugs standing in the second row, but the sound was great and didnt require them (at least for a bluegrass/folk setup). Im sure the upcoming Metallica tribute show may have something to say about that. Anyway, HIGHLY RECOMMEND attending any type of performance here. Also, BUY YOUR TICKETS DIRECTLY FROM THE VENUE /WEBSITE as you will save a ton of $!! The first attempt at purchasing tickets took me to a 3rd party and they were charging $52/ticket. I bought 2 tickets all in for under $50 from the Lincoln Theater site directly. Enjoy!
Great venue for live music. Parking lot a bit questionable.
Great place to see live music.
In my transportation business, I dropped a lot of people off at this business place of entertainment. Everyone’s real nice kind and courteous couldn’t ask for anything better.
It was a blast. I cant remember the last time I had so much fun, It was good to see caribbean people together in peace and love, and it showed at the concert. To all my caribbean people, much love.
Always a great venue! Big Something did it again! Keep bringing the good jam bands, please.
Staff is extremely pleasant and efficient. Best shows in town 🤘😁
Awesome venue. Small, easy to get to and plenty of parking close to the front door. Highly recommend.
It feels like an old school theater for great concerts. The place is not huge, but its cool. The drinks are good and the staff is great! They have a parking lot right next to the building, and on street parking is free after 6pm. (It was when we there)Check it out. BE BLESSED
I was in town for a convention. The parking lot that they have reserved is the same parking lot that has paid parking. There 2 non descipt reserved parking signs that could easily be mistaken for you cant park here unless you pay type sign, no where does it say the parking is for lincoln theater. When I came out, myself and 4 other families had their cars towed, so it wasnt like I made some stupid mistake. There was an extremely rude employee in the parking lot telling why we were stupid to think we could park there and that he had the towing company come simply because his normal spot was taken. We were forced to pay over $200 to get our car back. Everyone person involved was extremely rude, and could not care less. I highly recommend noone use this theater as I cannot imagine how rude the rest of the staff is if he was supposed to be a manager.
I had an amazing time at Lincoln Theater. First time seeing Scarface in person
Tamas (security) was amazing tonight! The night could’ve turned out to be really bad without him.
We had an awesome time at the American Aquarium concert! The staff was very friendly, despite the stress of a sold out house. The wait time for my friends at the bar was nearly nonexistent; the bartenders were efficient and polite. We did stand for the whole show and half of the opener, there are very few stools available on the balcony level. We have been to concerts here before, so we knew about the high likelihood of not having a seat. Overall an awesome venue , definitely worth checking out!
The venue is general admission aka standing room only. But they sell more tickets than the space can really accommodate, so it can be really crowded and uncomfortable.
Wonderful venue! I visited a year ago for a Melanie Martinez concert with Handsome Ghost opening for her. The sound system is pretty awesome for how small the place is and the bass was out of this world. I also saw Unlike Pluto, Pegboard Nerds, and Seven Lions here and oh. my. God. It was phenomenal! If you can purchase tickets early and theyre pretty inexpensive for the groups they get booked.
Newly renovated, and still the best club in the Triangle for live music. Sound is the best Ive heard, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you havent been here to see a favorite artist, CHECK IT OUT! You wont be disappointed!
Just had the best. Experience best concert ever. Ive been to so many. This was the best venue. Dwayne the owner helped my disabled sister get the best accommodations and seating ever. Flag Ship and Blue October gave the best intimate concert Ive ever been to. The team who organized it was so professional. So kind and supportive to our needs. My disabled sister contacted them a head of time. This venue rolled out the red carpet. We enjoyed our time with the best concert ever. In full comfort and understanding. 5 start to you all. Thank you for the priceless memories. See you soon. God bless you.
Went there for a concert Thursday. The bands are good that come there, but the bldg is in some need of repair. But hey, youre not there for the building youre there for the band. Its seats a good number of people and the venue is cozy.Park in the Blount street parking garage. After 7pm, they just leave the gates up. So its essentially free parking, in front of the venue.
Staff makes fun of paying customers, but dont mind taking your money and tips. When you try to talk to manager (very young, probably very little experience) he gets defensive and makes it clear if you complain you get removed, and his staff will can do what they please to have fun at work. Not his job to manage employees behavior nice quote from the manager. Used to be decent small venue, now its bad management, short shows, bad booking, why is there always a bathroom issue?, deaf sound operators, blind security, ect....
As a 50 year old rock music loving / guitar playing / NCSU alum / native of the area the Lincoln Theater is my FAVORITE venue to see a concert in the entire TRIANGLE. I check their schedule constantly and have been thrilled to catch some big acts passing through. As noted its cozy and intimate but also has a cool vibe. I also like how its a theater and music based vs a bar with live music and folks there with different motivations for being there. If youre all about the experience with that band and they play here DO NOT MISS IT!
I was at the recent Relient K show. Im giving the venue 2-stars for two reasons—lack of proper security/crowd management and poor sound. This was our first time at this venue so my husband and I arrived early (before the opener started) so we could find a good spot. We found a spot against a wall near an aisle where we felt like we were close enough to see the stage well but also accessible to the aisle for bathroom and bar trips. We were also by the handicapped ramp. We thought for sure that security would keep these areas clear for safety reasons. We were very wrong. As time went on, more and more people crowded in completely blocking the aisles and the ramp. We moved here from Chicago and regularly frequented many small to mid-sized independent venues, so we were shocked at the complete disregard for safety. Had someone fainted, had a fight broken out, had a fire started, etc. security had no way to get into the crowd and no way to get injured people out. Had there been any emergency in which everyone wanted to get out quickly, there would have been panic and injuries because no on would have been able to see how to get out. It was just a sea of people. This place is not prepared for an emergency situation. Lastly, the openers mic didnt work for half the set and she kept motioning to the sound guy who literally just shrugged. When the mic came back on, it wasnt adjusted back to the appropriate volume so vocals were way too loud while her acoustic guitar was very low. It sounded like an acapella performance. I will say that many other reviews mention rude staff which we didnt experience at all. The guys taking our tickets were very nice as were the bartenders.
An excellent musical venue, with plenty of free convenient parking in the gravel lot at the side of their building. Large lower space with plenty of room to shake your bones along with decent acoustics and sound with an addiquit sizes stage for a 7 member band! Also an upper surrounding balcony if you want to be higher up! I always enjoy seeing friends playing there! They serve beer and liquor, but no food, so eat before going! Plenty of cabs outside after the show for those who shouldnt be driving!
Enjoyed our night out out was a good venue
This place never changes. Its dark. Its dingy. Its loud. Perfect place for a music show. If you want any type of seat or ledge in the place, make sure you get there early. They have a decent sized balcony upstairs. Its just the right size that you fit a good amount of people in there, but it still feels like an intimate setting for a show. There have been many times where Ive ended up side by side dancing with an artist because they just come right on down and walk out into the crowd. A show here never disappoints.
This venue is inaccessible to wheelchair users. They stuck my friend on a crowded ramp where her mobility and vision were completely obscured and she could not see the show she paid to see.She called and emailed ahead of time and had been assured they would find a spot for her but there was no designated place for wheelchair users to enjoy the show.
This is a fairly intimately sized venue, nice for cozy shows. I will say that I wouldnt mind a bit more security going in, its something Ive gotten used to at shows and to not have it feels a bit unsettling. Ive also seen them use black light in a show and I wish I had not.
I love this place for live music! Been many times through the years and have seen many local and national acts here. Small, intimate venue that is set up perfect for the live show enthusiasts.
This place is about average for a live music venue. It is indoors of course, and is medium in size. The sound system is nice and they get a good sound inside. None of the character of the original theater remains, it is a stripped out building with few if any creature comforts. Very bare bones, but OK for a show.
Always a good experience at the Lincoln! Please keep.people from standing on the stairs we had to repeatedly ask people to stand aside as we were upstairs trying to see the Cosmic Charlie show. Its been an issue every time Ive gone upstairs to watch.
Good acoustics, serviceable sound team, and sparkling bathrooms. I was informed by the male members of my party that the urinal cakes smelled like a delicious citrus cocktail. Don’t get them started on the luxurious hand soap.
Was here for Cory Wong on Feb 9. The show was a giant party but I feel like you could of hit the sold out button much earlier if my best view is going to be between two dudes heads (and Im a 5`9 cat) for the first set and there was barely any standing room left. I know you care about the number of tickets sold, but Id rather optimize # of tickets + being able to see the stage.
Went for first time last night and seen Corrosion of Conformity ....overall its a great concert hall, and the staff were not hostile but very friendly. show was amazing and there is even a parking deck across the street so parking is easy....😎😎😎😎😎
Small enough to be intimate, big enough for amazing bands. Their beer selection is surprising! The staff was warm and courteous. Ive been here before and Ill definitely be here again.
Great venue. Awesome and knowledgeable bartenders … always a great time. To be honest I think the Lincoln is the best venue in Raleigh. Also. John the door guy. He’s the man.
A close-knit, intimate place that has great bands and unlimited re-entry. Literally the loudest shows ever though... so loud that its not enjoyable
Great intimate venue for local shows!
My favorite memories with my favorite friends were made here.Great atmosphere, great staff, great management and great music.Adventure Club, DVBBS, Carnage, ATLiens oh man the list goes on.I’ll happily wake my family up after a nice trip to Waffle House and jamming my neck out of place, coming home from a place Lincoln Theatre :)
Saw Wooli on 11/20/21. Venue itself was great, great sound quality, great screen and the bar was close to the viewing area. The bathrooms could use some work but thats not a deal breaker. The main issue for me was the heat. Maybe this venue isnt suited for EDM type events but it was obscenely hot. One ceiling fan wasnt working at all and another one was barely even on. I was constantly having to get water to not pass out. You could see the steam coming from peoples bodies and even the DJs commented on how hot it was. This is potentially a serious safety issue so please look into better ventilation and/or A/C for the future.
Awesome small venue. Sound system was better than I expected for the size of the place. Layout of the venue made it very easy to get from the pit to the bar to the restrooms and back. Drinks were reasonably priced.
The staff here is great and very accommodating for our concert, but the building is really run down - the ceiling tiles are falling down and the insulation behind them is showing. Random debris litter the hallways - brooms, stacks of supplies, bags, etc. But they know how to put on a concert 😁! Its hard not to wonder, however, how long theyll be able to keep it up before the whole place just falls apart.
Caught a concert and film screening at the Lincoln Theatre and love its whole vibe. Great on both fronts, with cheap beer prices and plenty of seating and standing room. The lobby area is great for taking a break without losing out on the show.
Cool venue! Small but you can get right up to the stage. The lighting could be better, not a fan of the LED colored lights and the outside could use some updating but overall, thats my only real complaint.
I love the Lincoln Theatre! I have gone there for numerous concerts of many different genres. The venue is cozy, but offers plenty of space to sit, stand, and socialize even when its packed. Cheap price for tickets and a no fuss environment.
Drove about 3-4 hours to see Sullivan King, Grabbitz, Lick, and Swarm! They absolutely smashed it! Best show ive seen in a WHILE. Sound system was amazing, as was the actual venue. Loved the set up, got free water, 10/10
Went to see Alex Wong and Delta Rae tonight. Fantastic show!!! Come here with two friends using mobility devices. The staff and crowd were great at helping us find good seats towards the front!!!
Beres Hammond is always my reason for coming faithfully. It gets super hot due to the time of year and people. I dont think drinking helps but I always have a great time. Ive experienced other artists there and still enjoyed myself.
From the outside it sure doesnt seem like much, and its not flashy on the inside. However, there are TONS of great sightlines and the sound was crystal clear. A packed club didnt feel uncomfortable, and theres limited seating (with a great view) upstairs.
Very cool music hang-out. Small but great atmosphere. Easy to get up-close to the artists. Sound is good too. Parking deck across the street plus a side lot.
Last Wednesdays concert could have been outstanding but the first two concerts music was overwhelmingly loud over any possible understanding of the vocals. Then, ALL musicians stood in the aisle during ALL the performances & laughed & made such a ruckus it was disturbing. Obviously the centers management was absent. What an insult to their fellow musicians who were on the stage!
Awesome!! Networking Event with Shop Local Raleigh. We had the opportunity to serve our Homemade meatballs, mini Chicken egg rolls and Veggoe egg rolls!!
Show was outside and Accustic environment was pretty solid despite essentially being in a parking lot. Inside drink service was pretty quick and bathrooms werent really a problem. Also building has a mural of Abe Lincoln driving a Lincoln Continental. I mean...
This venue is awful. My sister, who is in a wheelchair, came all the way from VA to see Relient K. Couldnt see over anyone, and people were STANDING ON THE WHEELCHAIR RAMP so she couldnt get past them. She left before the show started. Relient K is her favorite band. She tried calling you guys all week to ask questions about accessibility and nobody answered. What a joke.
The place is a run down dive. I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms at a Mexican truck stop. Toilets broken and won’t flush, stall doors falling apart, I can’t believe a business would allow such disrepair to happen. Drinks are way overpriced. Upstairs area closed off so we had to stand for 4 hours. The music was great though. Won’t do it again.
Decent small to mid sized music venue. Walking distance to Calavera (had some tasty empanadas for dinner before the show). Music sounds great, simple lighting not usually a lot of strobe flashes, perfect if you want to photograph the band.
I’ve seen so many awesome shows at Lincoln Theater. They never use Ticketmaster or Livenation so the shows are affordable. The only downside is that it’s not the best venue if you require ADA services. That’s the only reason I deducted a star.
I was recently in a car accident that has left my disabled at the moment. We brought tickets for the Eric Nam concert prior to the accident. I was truly worried about the fact I cant stand for long and are wearing braces on my hands, ankle, and walking with a cane. I arrived at 5:30 and ended up Midway down a truly long line (concert sold out and doesnt open until 7). I emailed the venue earlier in the week about being disabled and needing a seat. I emailed again once here and Danny called me and brought a stool for me to seat on until they open. Also for me to have during the concert. I am incredibly grateful! Great job for making my experience already great!
The Lincoln has a unique sound and is the best place in town to see live music. Staple and treasure in downtown Raleigh.
The manager here was incredibly rude dealing with my sister and I. My sister is disabled and cannot stand for extended periods of time, by ADA compliance the venue is required to provide an accommodation. Upon asking for one, I was told by the manager he didn’t “have to be ADA compliant” and was unwilling to help until I called the owner of the venue. The entire attitude of the staff and owner towards handicapped people trying to enjoy a live show is abhorrent.
The Lincoln is one of the best venues in the area. A large, yet intimate space to see your favorite band(s). The staff is amazing as well. Thank you!
Awesome venue!! Will McBride and the Gang got us all Jazzed up for a true Funking down with Mothers Finest last night.
I ALWAYS LOVE going to the Lincoln for a show. Went to my outdoor show a couple of weeks ago....first concert since covid. It was wonderful. They did GREAT with the safety measures for Covid at that point. Love me some of the Lincoln!
Great atmosphere, easy parking and awesome acoustics. A soundman has to be really bad at his job if the sound is not at least good. Just saw Eric Gales tear the place down...metaphoricaly speaking now. The place is still up and running.
Love attending concerts here. Squirrel Nut Zippers, Steep Canyon Rangers are some of my favorites. Buy tickets early if you want a seat in the balcony. We usually are happy to stand along the rail on the lower level.
THE place to see all kinds of bands, local and touring. Amazing, clear sound is prob my fav thing here. Multiple, large bars. Upstairs area is newer, great views of the hopping crowd. The Lincoln is always a good choice.
A gem of a theater in downtown Raleigh. Originally from the 1940s, this is the best sounding venue in the area in my opinion, and they carry a great variety of local and national beers. Many great times had here.
My girlfriend and I went to the Grateful Ball last night . I’m handicapped and have trouble standing for an extended time. We mentioned that to management they treated us like royalty got us stools to sit on so I could enjoy the show. Special shout out to the woman who helps out in the ladies restroom thank you for all you do💖
My 17 yr old and his GF went to see Bad Suns there. They said it was a good concert. I went into the venue while concert was still going on and the people were very friendly and helpful. Ok location but anyone under 18 has to pay $2 more at the venue which I dont understand and nobody ever answers the phone and voicemail is always full. Please clean out your messages.
The concert was all the way live. The stage is huge. There were multiple beers to choose from. The restrooms are located upstairs. There is standing room only no seats unless you sit on the stairs.
The best place in Raleigh to see concerts. Good accoustics, room to dance, good beer selection. The big win is you can buy tickets online with a reasonable service charge. Ticketmaster sucks, they dont use that service.
Lincoln theater is a pretty good spot to go see a show. It reminds me of growing up in DC and going to the 9:30 club but not quite as cool. It depends on the show I guess but many of the shows I find myself at seem to be full of a younger crowd, I should mention I am 31 years old myself for a point of reference. That being said the acoustics in the place a great and you can normally work your way into a decent spot. Over priced drinks as is to be expected. Overall I always have a good time at this spot. If the show is not sold out it is a bit more enjoyable. My favorite is the mural of Abe Lincoln fighting a grizzly bear while drinking a PBR I believe.
Great venue for a concert. Not too small and not too big. Just right with excellent sound. Plenty of hotels nearby and restaurants if you come from out of town.
The concert sounded great, but good luck seeing the stage if you’re going to a sold out show
Great place for a variety of live music. Not much for seating unless you like stools, but a good view of the stage from anywhere. Also, they have inexpensive beers!
My favorite music venue in the Raleigh area for rock concerts. Plenty of room to hold large crowds and have a lot of fun. Security staff is great and always quick to help, break up fights, or kick the right people out.
Great venue! Good/fair drink prices.
Went to Lincoln Theatre for the first time this past Halloween, and saw the band Living Color. The whole audience went crazy when they play Cult of Personality, their number one hit. The venue was nice there was a fully stocked bar, and though there wasnt much as far as hot food, they made for it with a fully stocked snack machine, and a wonderful atmosphere. My only complaint is is that Im a total wuss, and they were playing Childs Play the horror movie on the TV at the bar before the show started, and possessed dolls give me the heebie-jeebies more than any other movie monster.
I always love catching a show at this local venue. Pretty good acoustics, stadium style standing room with a balcony and great beer selection. Try a Crank Arm Wet Road! Loca and deliciousl!
First and last time I will ever go to Lincoln theater and apparently according to the assistant manger “it’s okay because other people will take my spot instead” the venue is small and the staff is absolutely terrible. Wasn’t even greeted by anyone upon entering. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. The security there is extremely rude and condescending, within 5 minutes of being there the security forcefully pushed me in the processes of falsely accusing me for something I wasn’t doing, lost my friend in this process and they wouldn’t even let me wait for her to catch up or find me just continued to push me towards the door, never even got to see the artist I actually came for just half of one song from the opening artist. One of the workers as well as the assistant manager were all very unpleasant and disrespectful to deal. The staff clearly only cared about making money and not if people enjoyed themselves or even bothered treating their guests with any form of respect. Definitely never going back, in the 20+ concerts I’ve been too never have I ever been treated with such disrespect as well as been so dissatisfied with the staff especially when dealing with the assistant manager and guy at the front door.
Great venue, tons of room and more than enough speakers to fill the place. Awesome wall art
Cozy little venue with good acoustics and an awesome sound tech. Mediocre beer selection, but if youre only there for the beer, youre missing some great music 😎
Cozy with no bad view of the stage, but... standing room only? For 5 acts? Ug. And the crowd was rowdy drunks. Just get there really early and sit upstairs; otherwise, be prepared to deal with the pushing and the drunks.
Saw Beres Hammond perform here. Nice location but its standing room only. Spring for the VIP tickets so you can sit upstairs. The view is better upstairs.
Usually a great place to see artist perform. These last couple of times my friends and I have been to this establishment we and others have been harassed by the same security guard with missing teeth. Then to have the a portly security guard come to apologize on his behalf. Never going back....
The Lincoln is a gritty fun place to hear music and see shows. The bar is easy to get to and the staff is nice. Dont expect fancy tables and clean floors. This place is for hardcore fun.
One of the best little places in raleigh to see a show. I have seen over 25 concerts in varying types of music but I love the atmosphere as well as the reasonably priced beer!
Love seeing shows here, especially the annual Big Something New Years Eve Run!!! Drinks are reasonably priced, staff is so kind, and there’s not a bad place to stand and watch a show in the house!
Ive seen some great shows in this venue. Its a bit dirty and needs some renovations but thats part of its charm. Come by and support your local music scene.
I have been enjoying concerts here since they were not allowing smoking. Evidently, they now allow electric cigarettes, which gives non-smoking concert goers face after face full of second hand residue. In my honest opinion, it smells foul and it is very irritating to the eyes. SOJA, one of my favorite bands, has and excellent live show. This show held on Oct, 4th, 2015 had so much volume and distortion it really ruined the show for me. The sax and trumpet were barely audible. Also, the doors opened 22 minutes late and patrons were left standing in the rain.
Attended a concert tonight, no where to stand or sit. People were crammed up against each other. Not at all a good venue for concerts. Will not be back.
A dive convert venue. Gets very crowded, acoustics are awesome and the beer is reasonably priced. Bathrooms are a pee only kind of place.
Nice venue for parties and performances. No seating. Standing and dancing only.
I have attended over a dozen events at this venue and always have such an enjoyable experience. Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh it is located within walking distance to bars and restaurants for before and after event refreshments. I have attended RAW Artist Raleigh events here and the local underground artists, photographers, fashion and music exhibitors are talented and this is a must-attend event. The next RAW Artist Raleigh Spectrum is April 30th 2014 and I already have tickets!
Really good venue size-wise; upstairs and downstairs standing options; not really any bad spots, unless you get trapped behind someone tall; very friendly staff and nice beer selection!
Great venue, been trying to catch a show here for years! Intimate setting and mostly good views of the stage.
Great concert hall, sound is fabulous. Wish there was more seating but I realize its a standing room ( mostly ) venue.
By far one of my favorite venues in Raleigh. Its small and has standing room only but it makes for a great show and the lineup is always pretty awesome.
Great venue and atmosphere. Easy to get on and out. Not a bad seat
Been a fav music venue for years
Pretty good little venue. They get some decent artists and it has a great feel to it. Love to rave here and have seen some great local fashion artists put on shows.
Its the best place to hear great music, I attend as many events here as much as I can afford. Ive met some of my best friends at this place, as well as the person I love. It has a sense of magic.
Duane Betts was a great show as always at The Lincoln. Love the venue!!
Venue doesn’t lend itself well to a Burlesque show, but the girls were great and we had fun!
Had a blast at a recent show. Bartenders friendly and bathrooms were clean. I love going there for shows!
Music was great and the venue was great, but the staff was horrible. After buying tickets, we were greeted by a man about our age checking our ids. I am 20 but my friends were 21 and he adamantly stated that my 21 year old friends had fakes. This has never happened anywhere else. He claimed hes been doing this for a long time but his lack of knowledge was astounding. After relenting and allowing him to stamp my 21 year old friends hands as under age, he warned the security to watch us because we gave him trouble. I truly hope Lincoln theater does not rehire him. He was nothing more than a spoiled brat who thought he could act out because his mom was right there taking money for tickets.
COC 2-22-2019 cool for me especially because we got to see Corrosion of Conformity in their hometown of Raleigh North Carolina nothing better than a band in front of their Hometown crowd the place was electric
Small venue with great shows! Always a good time here.
I love this venue. Parking garage across the street. Good restaurants on the next block. Summer parties. I sat next to Thurston Moore at the bar once who was just there chillin. Wide range of entertainment here.
