I got a facial with Denise and it was amazing! She was super sweet and knowledgable. I added on a lymphatic drainage massage and it was great and very long which was nice, plus the price point was great for what you get. I also loved how she always was working, whenever a mask was sitting she was massaging! So great, will def be coming again!

This is a great salon and Kaylin does an AMAZING job!! I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else! She seriously has helped my hair become healthy again and I always leave her chair feeling and looking amazing!!

Maria is amazing! She took her time, listened to what I wanted, all while showing that she is the professional. She shared her opinion on the style I wanted and trusted in the look I requested, AND then made it look so beautiful! I swear it seemed like she carefully took care of each strand of my hair! We both loved the outcome. Ive gone to her in the past and now a year later. She has maintained her excellent reputation with me, and I am already booked to come back to see Maria again. I highly recommend this stylist. The salon is super nice, and so is the staff. And, cute earrings too!

I started coming here October 2022 and it was the best decision I’ve made for my hair! Rihannon is the absolute best and always listens to what I want and executes even better than I could have imagined. I love the atmosphere here and the staff is always super friendly. I highly recommend checking Atelier out if you’re looking for a new place to get your hair done! They also offer a lot of other services beyond hair which is great.

Do NOT go to Kaylin at Atelier Beauty Bar if your goal is to enhance your natural texture. Im sure Kaylin is a wonderful extention specialist, and I thought she did a really great job with my hair for the first three (3) years of our stylist/client relationship. However, as I grew to embrace my texture...Kaylin did not. I was assured that since Kaylin is a LEVEL IV stylist that she is well versed in textured hair. So I brought her an inspiration video of a French shag that would really highlight all the wavy/curly/straight goodness going on with my hair along with my face shape. I was so excited to have Kaylin cut my hair like this. I love how she cuts my hair normally, she knows I love low maintenance and letting my natural hair shine on its own. Remember, shes been cutting my hair for three years. I trusted her completely.I dont know if she just lost track of what she was doing at some point or what. She let me leave the salon with wet, unstyled hair. Which she had never offered to me before. That makes me think she knew she messed up but doesnt the integrity to own up to her mistake. Instead she let me leave thinking I recieved exactly what I had asked for, I just couldnt see it yet because it wasnt styled.But then I got home and the devastation hit. I cant believe my hair went from gorgeous to garbage in an hour. I trusted Kaylin, like I said shes been my stylist for 3 years, and I never in a million years would have thought she would cut my hair this way.It will take me at least a year to grow out the huge chunk from the middle of my head that she cut as bangs. Ive had bangs the whole time shes been my stylist and I have never asked her to do this to my hair.I did reach out to Kaylin to ask her to teach me to style it the way she envisioned when she was cutting it. I thought maybe since she didnt style it after the initial cut, maybe it was something I was doing wrong. I also asked her to help me understand what im saying that lead me to recieve such a terrible haircut. Kaylin explained that she was very thorough with her questioning and gave me exactly what I was asking for.I wholeheartedly disagree.Kaylin did have me back for a fix appointment. However, she just pulled some of my bangs forward and diffused them. I have been happy with everything here. Rosa gives great massages. My only suggestion would be to have a 5 liter water with real cups in the room where we wait. That would make sense before or after a massage.

Chelsa is genuinely a miracle worker! I’ve been coloring my hair at home for years and finally decided to make a change. The color was pretty uneven and my roots looked rough so I knew there was a good chance I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted. Well, Chelsa went above and beyond to give me the hair of my dreams and I could not be happier!!! If you want the best haircut you’ve ever had that lasts months, go to Emily. I’ve been going to high grade salons for 20 years and I’ve never had a haircut that was exactly what I wanted until I found Emily. I’ve had two with her so far. My haircuts have also never lasted as long because I have a lot of hair and it bulks up quickly. Emily somehow takes out the bulk without making my hair look thin. Did I mention she’s amazing? :) Thank you Emily!!

I came in for a haircut with treatment and custom glaze and I am SO INLOVE with my hair! Maria has been my stylist for months now and shes so great with what she does. So grateful to have her as my stylist and she even took the time to show me how to style my hair! Shes amazing not to mention all of the staff are so nice.

Had my first ever facial with Linessa and she was amazing! She made me feel comfortable, answered questions and gave me helpful skin advice/recommendations. The spa was quiet and cozy and the hot tea to start with was perfect.After my facial I also had a lash lift+tint with Khush at the salon and she was awesome. When we were done she even ran over to the spa for some under eye serum since we had to remove product after my facial.Everyone went above and beyond to make it a great experience - highly recommend and can’t wait to go back soon!

Update: the owner Melissa read my previous review and offered to personally do it again for me for free. This time it turned out great, exactly what I expected. Very happy with the way Melissa does business. Will be coming back regularly now.Previous review: $300 for a Japanese straightening that didn’t work. See pictures taken after the required 72-hour waiting period post treatment. Very disappointed.

So far so good! Been having a nightmare of a time getting my hand tied extensions done correctly! Finally fed up & decided to try someone else. After first appointment with Kenzie, got all new extensions & couldn’t be more pleased with quality of hair& most importantly placement! I finally feel happy with how they look after struggling so much with other salon placement being so bad. Excited & beyond thrilled with my new hair girl! Thank you Kenzie!

So, my husband and I had been going here for a few times now. My first experience wasnt too bad. I really wanted my hair to be colored dark. I just wanted to go back to black or super dark brown after I had done the blond thing for a while and was over the upkeep. I had already started the process at another salon of going darker and my hair was a super light brown. Anyway, the stylist pretty much refused to do black and recommended I get my hair glazed darker first which Im not even sure how that really works but Im open minded so I said what the heck. It was super expensive, but i liked the way my hair looked leaving the salon, so i accepted it. I gave my stylist a very generous tip. I always tip well because i know these things are important to stylists. Within two days, my hair was back to that light brown. I was upset, but i decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt. I recommended my husband and he has always had very nice haircuts, so I scheduled for another appointment. On my appointment day I had a mix up in my schedule at work and had to work overtime last minute going into my appointment. I did call roughly a half hour before my appointment as soon as I was aware of the overtime and try to reschedule. They were unwilling to work with me on charging me reschedule fee. My husband and i had kept and been on time for our appointments in the past. I could have just not shown up. The only way I wasnt going to be charged was if I could reschedule that day, but I didnt get off until midnight. So that wasnt even feasible. I feel like I had been pretty forgiving at this point. So instead of further confrontation i scheduled another appointment that I knew I wouldnt be showing up for. Im not this petty kind of person, but Im just over people not being reasonable. My husband after this experience wont be going there anymore either as hes pretty upset. My recommendation is that you find somewhere that is not as expensive. You dont really gain more here by paying the extra price.

This salon is A M A Z I N G!! First, everyone is seriously so nice and did an amazing job from booking the appointment, offering refreshments, and recommending products that makes a difference in your hair. My stylist was Emma and she was seriously the best hairstylist I’ve ever had, she was so nice in reassuring me that my hair was not going to be a problem to fix. It was so easy to talk to her about my issues and the worries I had but she put them all to rest. She knew what my hair issue was and genuinely cared about getting my extensions fixed ASAP. Getting my hair done was the best part because she was so nice to talk too!! Emma’s passion in hair shows, and her work speaks for itself! Sasha was my stylist, and she was amazing! Im pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair, and I usually just go for a cheap hair cut. But I decided to try something new and get styled. She did an amazing job of listening to what I wanted, and adding her suggestions. She styled my hair so cute, and taught me a few things. I will definitely be coming back to see her! And she was totally adorable.

Amazing experience the moment you walk through the door. The entire staff was very lovely and kind the entire time. Emma did an amazing job cutting my hair. She was patient, kind and understanding. Atelier came highly recommended to me by a friend, but after the two worst haircuts I’ve received since I was a child, I will not be going back. The first haircut in December, was bad. I asked for a straight across haircut, there were ends all over the place (my sister who is not at all a stylist had to fix it when I went home for the holidays, and she really helped me salvage it). And the stylist cut this two weird strands in front of my hair that were shorter than the rest. The day of the appointment, she started my cut 1 hour late. Second appointment: I let this bad cut grow out until April, I went back and paid for one of their top stylists, and I received a cut that was even worse. I asked to take just enough hair off to make it healthy and want to try out some wispy bangs-I have had them before and know what they take to look good. I again said I’d like a straight cut otherwise. My hair was below my shoulders and is now higher than my chin in spots other than my bangs. I have unwanted layers where the end of my hair is 4-6 inches different that the top layers. Every singe strand of my “bangs” is below my nose. (Do I already need to go in for a bang trim). The haircut looked awful when she styled it the way I usually style my haircut to look its cutest. Walking out of the salon I felt like the haircut was a hideous mistake. She was rushing to get to her next client and cutting my hair frantically and Willie nillie at the end. I will go somewhere else to have them fix it. I debated posting photos. They are from just hours after I left the salon, how she styled them, I hadn’t exercised, showered etc. The photo of me in the yellow is what my hair looked like going in. I uploaded photos of the current cut that are THE BEST ANGLE for the cut. It is worse. Hopefully this helps someone else not make the same decision I did, if you have a bad cut, try somewhere new, it could always be worse.

Amy at Atelier Beauty Bar saved my hair! I moved to Reno last year from Chicago and used Yelp/Google reviews to find a salon (NOT Atelier) that was highly rated. I walked in with red hair asked to keep it that same color and walked out with brown hair - it was terrible. I picked Atelier because the owner was super responsive to my inquiry and the place looked beautiful in pictures. This place did not disappoint!! Its super cute, everyone is very friendly and the prices are reasonable! I showed Amy photos of my hair before it was ruined and she knew exactly how to fix it. Such a life saver. Ive now been going there for 9 months and Im thrilled with my hair. It isnt easy to find someone who does such a great job with red!

Shes warm and welcoming; we had a lovely conversation the whole experience. She took such thoughtful care of my fine hair that has not been trimmed or cut since March. My hair feels SO much healthier and full. The cut didnt even feel super drastic. With fine hair, I always run the risk of someone giving me layers I didnt ask for which ends me up looking like Lord Farquaad. I love the team at Atelier Beauty Bar team is top-notch. I have an appointment every six weeks to have a root re-touch and haircut, and Im always happy with the results. Sasha, my stylist, is attentive to my needs and requests.Customer service is also really good. The staff make you feel comfortable while you wait (offering water, coffee, etc.).I definitely recommend them!

I just saw Danielle for a haircut. I have thick, wavy/curly hair and the layers were really wonky after it grew out after a big chop. She did a dry cut for the initial cleanup, then the shampoo and a hair mask, then she dried my hair straught for the final overall trim. She was SUPER gentle through the whole process and I never felt like my curls were being tugged around. She finished with a beautiful wave with a 1 curling iron at my request and it still looks SO GOOD. I cant wait to come back in a few months while we wait for some of my layers to grow out. Ive already recommended her to the rest of my curly family. It was definitely an investment but Im really glad I went.

Girls listen up! I have spent years wearing extensions. This has been the best experience so far. The quality, affordable price and the pride in not only service but also time management when installing or getting move up’s is phenomenal! Since they have their own line you get to pick out the color that best fits you right in the salon!! My hair last forever feels great and I barely need to go in for move up’s! I love my hair dresser but im very unhappy with management..I bought a texture spray for my hair and this brand is not cheap.i got home to try the product and it left my hair white like someone put paint on my hair it didnt come out..I called right away and told the girl in the front that the product was not good and she said that her manger said that i need to spray father away..which was not the point..I was shocked that she would not let me return it..I know if it was my customer i would make that person happy..now i have a product that cant use under my bathroom sink

My mother and I went in to get our hair colored and cut. My mom got her hair dyed and then her stylist took her to the wash stations to wash out the dye. Next thing I know my mom comes back with her back and pants completely drenched in water. According to the stylist Kenna, my mother’s neck was not long enough for the sink and the water spilt down. I felt extremely sad that my moms first hair salon experience turned out like this.

I went there a few days ago to get my nails done for my birthday with my sister after hearing great things about this place. The woman who did our nails was really sweet and accommodating, but the job done was poor, at best. It seemed rushed, our nails weren’t buffed or really treated at all. The nails weren’t even fully painted or even, and after two days my gels are fully peeling off. I really wanted to give this place a good review, but it was not anywhere near the money we spent.

I got a balayage and haircut from Kaylin and I could not be HAPPIER. She did such a wonderful job and was so communicative and responsive to all of my questions and requests. I absolutely love what she did to my hair- she accomplished EXACTLY what I was looking for! I’m now definitely a repeat customer and cannot recommend Kaylin enough!

I had gone in w about 5 or so purple ribbons I wanted redyed to my natural hair color which is light brown. Online the website stated that Emma ....is the best with communication...She is the type of stylist that will truly listen to your needs... so naturally I chose her to help me w my hair. I went in for a consultation, and she said she could cover up the strips no problem. I came in the next day to get the job done, I sat down and she began to cover my ENTIRE head in Jet Black dye, she assured me it wouldnt look as dark as it did on my head and I took her word for it, even so I didnt want my entire head colored just a few strands. she washed out my hair and I was MORTIFIED to see my lightbrown/blondish hair had been turned into a Jet Black mess! she told me it would fade in time. I called the salon the next day to complain and let them know what happened, it went straight to voicemail, I left one and never got a call back.

Well..... decided to book an appointment for both my sister and I as a mini gift for her graduation. Appointment was at 10am showed up a little before sign on window said close which initially threw us off. Proceeded to the front desk to check in commented to gal sign on the window says closed its a little misleading her response OH very snotty. Havent seen her there before must of been new perhaps either way not very welcoming. It wasnt until an older gentleman walking in after us checking in commented the same thing that the other gal in reception area went to flip it over to open.Danielle came and asked which one was here for a hair cut which I stood up as that was me she introduced herself she proceeded to take me back she was extremely welcoming listened to all my comments and concerns and offered great suggestions! Did a great job with my hair! As we were walking to clean my hair I glanced over and still saw my sister waiting for her aesthetician. Thought that was odd so I ask Danielle I did book both appointments for 10 right she confirmed and said the other gal is finishing up with a client I said oh ok and forgot all about it. Over half way though my service and my sister walks up to me and said the aesthetician had not shown up its now 10:30am. The front gals told my sister the aesthetician didnt know she had an appointment... Danielle stepped in to ask what is going on she told me they were having trouble with their booking system? My sister ended up leaving I felt horrible she made time out her busy day to come and relax and ended up the total opposite! When I proceeded to go check out the gal said Im so sorry the aesthetician said her alarm didnt go off. Ive heard 3 Different excuses at this point I was over it! They did not offer her to come back with a credit to her service thats is the least they could of done! You cant just waste clients time! If it were the opposite we would of been charged a cancellation fee.

I have been a long time customer of Atelier. This place is fantastic with an amazing staff. My preference for haircuts is to move around between stylists, so Ive had many staff there cut my hair. I love it every time. I highly recommend it here!

Loved the ease of booking and was so happy with my haircut by Kari. She styled it with some curl at the end and it was beautiful. She is fantastic! The building is lovely and the location easy to get to with plenty of parking.

Found this place from simple google search and booked appointment with Emma on their site on a whim. OMG she is so awesome! I usually hate getting my haircut because I feel like the stylists just don’t care or listen but Emma was very attentive and super knowledgeable about her profession. I felt very heard and understood; had 4-5 inches cut off so was thankful to be in such good hands. Great conversationalist, great results, I felt happy afterwards. Emma is highly recommended!!Also the atmosphere of this place is really lovely, modern and open.

For brows.My wifes eyebrows are now ruined. They no longer have shape like theyre supposed to. All the work previously done is now ruined. Minimum 6 months to grow back. Not only are her eyebrows too thin, but one is shorter and fatter than the other and now they are not centered. On top of it they ripped off a large piece of skin under her eyebrow.Go somewhere else for certified and experienced eyebrow work.

Melissa the Owner is the most unprofessional stylist I have ever had services done by! I had to go to another stylist to fix what she did! I filed a complaint with my credit card company. She has absolutely no integrity!

Gorgeous! I wanted to let my silver gray hair shine through and Dalton made it happen. It was quite a few steps to pull the other color out and to match my natural color but he did it! My hair feels healthy and looks great.

Atelier is a beautiful space; It’s chic with an industrial undertone that lets you know you’re working with professionals. Dani Marie did a perfect job with my wacky hair that grows at different lengths. You can relax while you wait in a hanging vienna chair, get a facial, shop high end products (men’s too) etc... They have it all! Definitely coming back!

Kenzie is my new hair stylist. She did a great job coloring my hair with no irritation to my scalp. Washed my hair without digging her nails into my head or rattling my brain. Very gentle, relaxing with a great new hair color.

Abbey is absolutely phenomenal! My skin has never looked better, Im literally glowing and I feel like a whole new person. She is so knowledgeable, I honestly dont trust anyone else with my skin. Book a facial or a wax with her ASAP - she is amazing!

Got a pedi done here- it look a little less than an hour, was really relaxing. The salon was clean and fairly busy. This was probably the first pedi Ive had that not once made me uncomfortable or hurt. Will definitely be going back next time I need something!

If I could rate this place a 35,000/10 I would!!First off, I had to cancel an appointment super last minute because of work, so I got charged half of my visit (which is completely warranted). BUT they put that amount charged toward my next visit... so accommodating and amazing.Ive gotten a lift/tint done to my lashes by Linessa in the past. But I wanted to go a little bolder and get a classic set of extensions. I wanted a more natural look still, and I explained to Linessa how nervous I was about getting them done!! I wanted to keep the health of my natural lashes.. but they’re so blonde that I have to wear some makeup to even look above the age of 12 and not look like I’m asleep. LolShe was so calming and amazing and talked me through the whole process. She made sure I was super comfortable and felt at home (with a blanket and everything). I dont think Ive ever been so happy with the results of a service, ever!!! Im so blessed I found them! 10/10 times would recommend to my dearest people.ALSO, If you’re skeptical of getting extensions.. take the plunge. I work in health care and am a paramedic student and work ridiculously long hours with hardly any sleep in between. Makeup isn’t my top priority by any means... but I still have to look professional and awake. This is a very special service to get done and I’m very thankful for it. I can’t even feel them.. they feel like my own lashes, but look banging. DO. IT.

Beautiful salon, a renovated architect’s building, right next to Code Coffee on Wells. Got the Henna Brow and it even covered the scar on my eyebrow where tinting doesnt! After initially being scared they too dark as full, the coverage and color faded but 3 wks later I still have time color. Cheaper than microblading or permanent makeup, but same price as eyebrow tinting with better results!

Absolutely loved my experience. Incredible service. Amy was attentive, caring in her explanations. Helped me decide on the color for my hair. Treated me like a friend instead of a client. That is top notch guest service.

My stylist did a pretty good job! I wouldnt book online though if you arent sure what you need. Just call as bookijg online can lead to time restraints and having to reschedule. But i am very happy with the job that was done on my hair.

I had my lashes and powder brows done by Tia, aka Reno Brow Babe. Im still healing on the brows but so far Im really happy with the results and look forward to the touch up in four-six weeks to perfect them.

Love it here!!! Amazing service and atmosphere. They offer hair services cut/color/extentions, nail services, skincare including lash extensions and microblading. They also sell amazing beauty products. I always leave feeling brand new and beautiful.

The service was done well but the stylist did not inform me that additional bowls of bleach would be an additional cost. Not blaming her at all because on the website it in fact states that “additional toner, root shadow and bowls ARE INCLUDED. I spoke with the store owner and she refused to reimburse me the money when she’s falsely advertising a service, I’ve been going to Atelier for 5 years now and they have been amazing thus far! I wish they would be more clear or update their website to prevent future occurrences.

Clean upscale beauty salon with several stations available by appointment. Hilighting, tone and cuts being detailed when I was there. Staff appears all younger, friendly. Currently open 6 days weekly.

A couple weeks ago I went to get a haircut and a hair treatment and the salon and front desk personnel were nice. The reason why I am opting to give 2 stars was because of the hair stylists service.

Love this place and get top-notch service here every time!! The staff are always friendly and tentative. I have always had a good experience here and my husband loves that he can get a beer while waiting for me which I also love so I dont feel rushed out the door when he waits.

Absolute worst. i went to go get my hair a ashy blonde and i showed her a picture of what i wanted and i came out with barely anything not even identical to the picture, $200 worth of nothing.

I have been a frequent client of this salon and the first few times everything was great, the service was good and the results were the same, on another occasion when I washed my hair they left and wet my clothes but I let it go because of the quality of work they do, I continued booking my appointments and one more time they canceled my appointment the day before it and I did not receive any promotion or anything for it and this last time they canceled my appointment on the same day it was due, I think they have their reasons but as a client you also have their reasons and their own plans, and they dont tell me or we are going to do it about two days apart or something but more than a month to make another appointment, my question is what happens with that, is it just me or do they do it with more people, be careful Im not saying anything bad about their work because thats good, it just bothers me that they do this type of thing on the same day that you have plans for it and they dont give them another option or one or two days to solve it if not more of a month to serve another appointment, they should take into account that we also have our own plans and our time also counts a lot.
