Orbital Music Park - Rehearsal spaces & community

I visited this establishment 2 weeks ago with my blind cousin. The bartenders weren’t accommodating told him when he asked for water it was located at the end of the bar! If it wasn’t for the owners I would have not come back!! I returned on funk night which was a Wednesday night people I felt at home! It was a wonderful experience something I been looking for! This was elevated karaoke live concert! I will definitely go back I have a lot more to give! Love is just around the corner Orbital music park the new power generation! Thanks Tom!

What a great experience! Such a unique idea to help out local Richmond musicians. OMP isnt just a music venue. It offers rehearsal spaces and a fully equipped recording studio. The space is creativity decorated giving a great feel to the space. BYOB and great ready for a truly unique music experience.

This is THE spot for musicians in Richmond.The vibe is 1970’s garage band, where you met up with musician friends each weekend in someone’s friendly garage. Now we have that SPACE here in RVA in 2019.Interior design of the warehouse inspires creativity, as does the extensive collection of instruments to borrow. Everyone is kind, open minded and willing to share in the groove together. Kudos to founders Tom and Morgan for creating this community - we ALL need more music in our lives, and OMP is the place to make it (critic free, just for the sake of having FUN!)

Very cool concept to meet like minded people and play music. I have decided to join and look forward to playing more and learning new stuff. They offer a variety of membership levels starting at only $10 month. The place is stocked with cool gear and a couple sound proof rehearsal pods. Come join the fun!

Orbital Music Park is an all inclusive place that encourages creativity. Tom and Morgan are two of the nicest people on Earth. You will not find a better place to collaborate or learn or teach or play an instrument. The kindness the OMP has shown me personally has changed my life and gave me hope. It has renewed my faith in love and music. Ill never be able to thank them for everything that they give to all of us musicians. A safe place to be ourselves.

OMP is the coolest place ever. A great concept, a great atmosphere, a great place to create music.For months, our band was having trouble finding a place to rehearse in Richmond. Now, with a membership at Orbital, I can book rehearsals with a swipe and a click on my phone.We love OMP. We love the design, the warm acceptance of peoples differences, the wide array of instruments to try out, the celebration of Richmonds musical history.Thank you, Tom and Morgan!

This weekend I went from an old-timey Jam to a Brazillian Bossa jam and then to a Jazz jam. With each experience, the owners supplied me with different musical instruments. What a wonderfully curated experience. This is the norm for Orbital. Probably the best thing thats ever happened for the Richmond musical community. Bless this place and the magnanimous assiduous fastidious attitude of its owners.

I come here every Saturday for the Songwriters Jam. Tom, the owner, is great and the space is wonderful. If youre a musician living in Richmond, you should definitely check out OMP.

As others have pointed out, Orbital Music Park is not only a great rehearsal space with two well equipped sound proof rooms, it is also an online and in person community and hang out spot. A very unique contribution to the Richmond music scene and a place I look forward to spending more and more time at collaborating, creating, and experiencing music here in town.

Orbital is a fantastic space to meet and play with new musicians in the Richmond area. Tom and Morgan are incredibly nice people to work with and really foster an atmosphere of inclusivity for musicians of all skill levels. Such a great spot to pop into a jam, hang out surrounded by all things music, or listen to some amazing improv music. Orbital makes Richmond a better place to live and play, and for that I am grateful.

OMP has 2 very nice live rooms, a comfy lounge, and lots of nice equipment to play with. The vibe is very friendly and welcoming; but its not just a practice space...its a musicians network you can join, and members are all connected through a nifty networking/discussion app. There is nothing else like it in RVA.Check it out!

Perfect place to play live with other musicians. Not that good? Best way to get better fast and people here freely share tips. Really good? This communitys crazy full of talent that wants to jam. Cant commit to a band? Jam whenever you want. Have a band? Practice somewhere that doesnt smell like your Grandads socks.

Orbital Music Park is becoming my second home. I love joining in on jam sessions such as Manic Mondays which has a different theme every Monday; the Wednesday Blues session; and sometimes I just plug my phone in and play along with a funky rythym or melody. Big thanks to Tom and Morgan and the rest of the crew for creating such great space to explore making music and meeting new musicians!

Such an amazing, all inclusive space to practice as a band, solo artist, or musician just looking to jam. Their membership rates are very friendly, and their promise to provide a safe, fun, inclusive space is made evident by their commitment to their guests and members.

This is an excellent private rehearsal space for a reasonable fee, and there are fun shared common areas for musicians of all genres. They are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly...I highly recommend.

Orbital is such a special and amazing place! I’ve met so many great musicians. It has a real sense of community. Feels like home.

This place is the best thing thats happened to me in a long time. Everyone is friendly, easygoing, and fun to be around. There is nothing pretentious or intimidating here, and anyone who plays anything or wants to learn to play anything should feel comfortable just dropping in to check it out... thanks guys!!!

This concept is so amazing and Im glad the right people are running it. Im glad to be a member and look forward to future jam sessions! If youre thinking about joining, stop second guessing and just go for it. I really cant say anything negative about this place.

Very cool place. Only complaint is the bathroom is all the way across the warehouse, but luckily they provide a scooter to get to it.

Its like a gym membership!except its for playing music instead of working out. and you actually want to use the membership after you bought it. so, its nothing like a gym membership!

Stopped by OMP for the first time today. There is nothing like it anywhere!! As you walk in you start to smile and realize that this is what music looks like!
