I had a horrible hair experience. One where I spent an obscene amount of money to look as though I needed to get my hair done. I was simply looking for highlights and low lights, but instead had my hair bleached blonde, and she put dark hair dye on my roots. It was awful I walked out looking like I needed to get my hair done. Thankfully I was able to get in to The Face and the Body Day Spa for a color adjustment with Elaina, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results!From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Elaina took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and preferences regarding the color adjustment. Her professionalism and expertise were evident throughout the entire process.Not only did Elaina expertly correct the color issue I was experiencing, but they also provided valuable insights and suggestions for maintaining the vibrancy and health of my hair. Her attention to detail and precision during the adjustment truly exceeded my expectations.The final result was beyond what I had envisioned. My hair looks and feels incredible, with the color perfectly balanced and seamlessly blended. Ive received numerous compliments since leaving the salon, and I couldnt be happier with the outcome. So disappointed. Called early this morning and finally got someone to answer the phone after multiple attempts. Trying to get in for a double pedicure to celebrate my daughters birthday which is almost 2 weeks out. Nothing available local so we booked an appointment 1 hour away for 11 am. Get a call 2 hours later telling me they dont have that time now and will have to reschedule. Give us a different time. Agreed. 2 hours after that - they called and said they didnt have that time available and would have to go another time. I cancelled. Dont think they care much. Def not a customer first brand. We had the whole day planned around this... thanks.

Linda my therapist was amazing!! The hot stones were right temp for me and she put the right amount of pressure on all the places my workouts had knotted up! I highly recommend her!!

Let me just start by saying I’m a spa girl I love the spa. I have gone to several spas around the area and have had some really great services. Several friends of mine go to face and body and suggested I went so I did and buy do I regret it! I bought a package I told the guy when I set up the appointment that I wanted a relaxation day. I believe the guy’s name was Eric and he set me up with this package which included a massage, a facial and a pedicure. I was really looking forward to it as I had a very stressful week and looking for some wonderful relaxation. When I arrived first up was the massage, the guy was average best and the table squeaked the entire time so much so that couldn’t focus on anything other than the squeaky table and the guy said I know it’s annoying, but didn’t really seem to do much about it. He did very repetitive motions for several minutes. I felt like I got better Massage from my Shih Tzu machine at home. Next was the facial guys his name was Douglas, and he was great. He did a great facial. However, I was expecting a relaxation facial, not a treatment where my face was being scraped the entire time, again, not the guy’s fault. He was great at what he did, he was very personable. It just was not what I was expecting. lastly came the pedicure and the lady was super nice and she did a good job. When I was checking out I felt more stressed out than I did when I arrived. I was really disappointed as I was really hoping for some relaxation and was just completely disappointed in every way possible. When I checked out the guy Eric was working and I gave him the tip that if somebody is wanting a relaxation facial to never schedule a treatment for them! left there completely stressed out and so mad I spent so much money on that experience. As I drove away I noticed a place across the street called the Happy Feet so I called and it was a massage place and they could get me in for a massage right away so I went straight there. I paid additional money, and it was worth every single penny. I had an hour chair massage, and I completely forgot where I was at I was so relaxed! A couple of days had gone by but that whole experience still wasn’t sitting well with me so I reached out and first left a message for the face and nobody which nobody responded so I called again and spoke with somebody they said that the managers were talking about it and they would get back to me. Well it’s been several weeks now and nobody has reached out to me , that speaks volumes to me as to what type of company they are!! Neither me, nor any of my friends who were longtime customers of theirs will ever be back again!! Long story short save your money, you could get 2 to 3 times as many wonderful services or would it cost for one of theirs!

Elaina is amazing! She takes the time to really understand what your goal is for your hair while also offering options so you understand your hair and what will work best with your hair type. Make an appointment with her!! You will never be disappointed!

Mixed review, hate to give mediocre stars, but cannot give more: I was rerouted to Rock Spa, though my appt was for TFATB, because their IPL equipment was down. Rock spa burned up my face badly. TFATB acknowledged my issue, quickly addressed and tried their best to help me. The phone staff and the nurse at TFATB Brentwood, are lovely, lovely people, very kind and empathetic to what happened, even gave me an extra treatment to see if that would work. But in the end I have worse spots than before, on my face--I even waited about 5 months since this all began-- hoping for improvements as IPL treatments can sometimes take awhile. But now with the stronger sun, my old spots and now new spots from being burned are getting darker. I say try TFATB again for IPL.. but DO NOT let them send you over to Rock Spa-- or at least be aware and warned.

I had the most amazing facial with Donna Marie. It feels like she erased the wrinkles and dryness that I was complaining about. She recommended a few products but wasn’t pushy. I love the lotion I bought and will be back! Thank you.

I booked the suite at this location for my birthday celebration. It was a really easy process to book and easy working with Brianna on the details. Personally I received a facial from Douglas (amazing) and a massage from Jasmine (amazing). The other women in my party enjoyed themselves as well. Except for one on her gel manicure. It was not a great experience for her. And be aware in what you’re getting with the Chakra Balancing Massage (more about your energy rather than a massage massage). Overall everyone was pleasant. The experience warrants a visit again.

Been here maybe 10 times for hair, always with Elaina. Elaina is fantastic, and highly skilled, and the shop’s ambiance is good and everyone is friendly. They offer beverages, which is nice.

I have been getting a massage about once a month with Cheri. She does a wonderful job and always discusses my needs.Unfortunately on Saturday my massage was great as always but the distraction of loud talking and laughing caused me to ask Cheri to turn on the sound machine to block it out during my massage. That helped although Cheri eventually had to leave the room to ask them to be quiet. I realize this was the nail techs at Face Oasis not the Face and Body staff.

I didn’t have a typical salon visit. I haven’t been as able, both financially and physically to get to hair appointments, so I did my own (they attend school, specialty training and countless hours learning techniques…and more) and I needed more help than what I figured would be easy. (Brassy -not always easy nor 3 different colors) It was one of those times we all encounter where I wasn’t feeling 💯 and returning would have been difficult. They really listened and empathized with me and they went above and beyond to help me. I was blown away by their efforts to still fix a minor issue. They have good pricing, they offer b-12 injections for $25, high quality products, not snooty and I would go to their day spa in a second if I were doing any facial or treatment. Comfortable washing chairs that don’t strain your neck!!! (Very cool) Your team was so great to amend my situation the way you did and you have no idea how much it meant. thank you for your ownership of things and making everything exceptional. Id tell anyone to see you all for everything (I had no idea about your face products and want to speak with someone soon as I wasn’t sure if it required a prescription anymore)THANK YOU

We booked two appointments for gift cards that were given to us for Christmas. It took 4 months to get appointments. Once we arrived, we completed a form and I told my therapist I wanted to concentrate on my shoulders. He told me to lie face up and that is how we would start. The massage felt like he was in training. He asked the entire time if the pressure was good and if I was enjoying myself. I dont mind talking, but I certainly dont want to be talked to during a massage. The pressure felt like a child was giving me a massage and it was all over the board with no organization. Both of our massages were like this. Are they employing students to do their massages? It was $230 for two 60 minute massages plus tip. I would never spend this much money for this quality ever again.

Linda the massage therapist is absolutely AMAZING! She is small but mighty! I have had massages all over the country & she is by far the best!! I cant wait for my next massage!

I found Gabby through her instagram and was in love with her results. Today I saw her for my first lip filler ever and she was so kind and thorough with the whole process. Honestly she’s why I will come back here. The scheduling with the front desk was a bit hectic for me, but Gabby gave top service. Thanks again Gabby!

What a lovely spa day! Jasmine was a fabulous massage therapist. Tamara gave me an amazing vitamin C facial (highly recommend!). Heather’s nails and toes were divine! We had a group spa day for a work retreat and the private room in the back was perfect.

Massage and pedi could not have been better but all relaxation was removed checking out with the lady with the black and white glasses behind the desk. She could not find our papers from the services we had, could not split up to have us pay seperately since we booked together, 20 min of her being completely rude and not listening and she was still unable to check us out even paying all at once before a nice young girl came to help her. Had to ask for a gift card back with a balance on it she held onto. We will not be back to this location because I would never want to deal with her again.

Every time I’ve been here, the staff has been wonderful. Cherie is the absolute best massage therapist! She is so kind and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

Had my first laser hair removal appointment with Gabby and it really was amazing! I’ve wanted laser hair removal for quite awhile but I’m a wuss and was intimidated by the pain factor I’ve heard comes with it. Not at The Face and the Body, I can honestly say it was 99% pain free. Gabby was fantastic- she was so sweet and kind, she explained everything to me and made me feel super comfortable. I would highly recommend Gabby and their laser hair removal system!

I had a radio frequency needling facial with Doug. It sounds awful, but with numbing cream you dont feel a thing. Doug is fun to talk with as well so made for an enjoyable visit.

I’ve been getting massages for over 20 years. I’ve visited various spas in St. Louis and have learned about differences in services, the quality of those services and what contributes to an excellent therapist.In the last couple years, I’ve found my home spa - Face and the Body - Chesterfield (you can find me there every 4-6 weeks) and my therapist for life - Allison Matthews. Her work is second to none. Each massage, I bring concerns to her and she consistently relieves my pain. I have a small child and a full time desk job, so my muscles and joints are rarely happy unless it’s after Allison has treated me.In addition to her skill, her dedication to her clients is wholehearted. I’ve never had a therapist connect with me as she has. Some clients want entirely quiet massages and some want to talk. I land right in the middle. Allison is extremely caring and respectful when conversing with me and watches for when I start to zen out.As a working mom, these massages have gone from a therapeutic treatment for muscle/joint pain to a true spa getaway, and Allison is the reason.

I had a massage from Eric in Brentwood and it was great! Top 10 massages I’ve ever had. Office staff was friendly also!I had an apt at chesterfield first and the therapist didn’t show so was hesitant to give another chance but glad I did with Brentwood.

Nurse Stephanie and Nurse Gabby are the best medical spa injectors in St. Louis! I have been to many medical spas in town but these ladies listened to my wants and determined the best treatment for MY FACE and MY SKIN. I am extremely pleased with the immediate results. I know in one month it will be even better! If you need filler or Botox, definitely go to The Face and Body!

I’ve been to Face & Body a few times for injectables and each time I’ve had a positive experience. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ve seen both Jessy and Stephanie for and they both took the time to listen to me to understand what results I was hoping to achieve and then shared with me the best options. Also, they went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with my results. I will definitely be going back! Thank you!

I went to the Brentwood location. Brittney G did my Swedish massage and it was one of the best massages I have gotten done. She is professional and attentive making sure you are comfortable at all times. I will definitely come back and request her again for a massage.

Update… thank you for calling me today Face and the body. Monday-Very frustrating experience taking my daughter for her first manicure. I was told I didn’t have an appointment after receiving a reminder call for the date and time that I was told I did it have an appointment for. I had made the appointment in person a week earlier. The front desk didn’t offer any suggestions to help or reschedule at another time. I called and asked for a manger to contact me and have been ignored. I guess this is how they are now treating clients who have supported the Spa for over 20 years.

Had a girls trip and they booked a private room for us. They were very accommodating and we all had a wonderful time. Services were a botox party, massages, and manicure. Would highly recommend this place. The nurse who handled our botox (Amanda) was amazing and explained everything thoroughly. Couldn’t be happier! Judy who handled our reservations was wonderful!!

Lexi is fantastic! Very down to earth, respectful and friendly. I have vitaIigo and she is the only person who has been able to help me feel normal again and not ashamed. I have never felt more comfortable and know I am in good hands when she is taking care of me. I highly recommend her!!!

Heather gave me a wonderful pedicure and manicure experience. Chase did a phenomenal job with the eyebrow wax. She took her time to make them look perfect! I would highly recommend Heather and Chase.

It has been a long time since I have been treated to a self care day, and Lexi blew my expectations out of the water. She was not only phenomenal with her work, but also kind with her words. It is one thing to get a facial, but to experience an esthetician who has the demeanor to calm your mind as she speaks to you is unbeatable. I would recommend her a thousand times over. Absolutely phenomenal pedicure with Nebra!! Not only did she do a beautiful job on my pedicure, I felt as I made a new friend. I needed a pedicure as a last minute thing and just happened to book it last night with Nebra, it was the best decision I made. I’ve never been here before, but I will absolutely be coming back for my pedicures with her.

Be careful when you buy a gift card from this place. My husband purchased a GC and when I tried to redeem it, they said there were no funds on the card. In fact they had no record of a GC for that amount sold that day. They did however charge my husbands CC and we had proof. So double check that they actually put the funds on the GC. Also be warned if they ask if you want to add tip to the GC, DONT DO IT! The rude gentleman (my husbands words) asked if he wanted to add an extra amount for tip on GC. Turns put you cant pay for tips with a GC! Why ask the question when it cant be done??? Sounds like a little fishy to me! Since I couldnt tip using the GC, I should have had extra on the GC. When I asked about the extra funds, the guy at the desk said ha good luck getting that from us 😲 Never again will I be going back.**Edit to Add: I showed proof of the GC payment to the front desk and they comped my services (per the manager they spoke to on the phone). The GC was purchased in May 2023 and the services where in August 2023. The front desk looked up GCs purchased on the specific date and couldnt find the GC anywhere. They said its like the GC doesnt exist but theres a payment and were confused themselves. I only wanted to write the review for others to be aware when purchasing GCs. I didnt know tips werent allowed to be used on the GC nor did my husband, esp since he was asked do you want to add funds for tip. Maybe this situation can be taken as a way to improve and continuous education for the front desk staff?

Face and body offers salon services, manicures, pedicures, cool sculpting and laser hair removal. When doing laser hair removal, there is a consultation and packages that 6 sessions. Staff is friendly and it was easy to get an appointment. Very zen background music.

Amber is amazing! She is informative, friendly and even though I’ve only had 2 lower leg treatments so far for laser hair removal, I already have fantastic results! Can’t recommend her enough and if you are debating trying out laser hair removal, this is the best place to go. Ask for Amber!

Favorite day spa in St. Louis. I usually visit a few times a year and treat myself to a massage and facial. The spa area is nice, not very large but quaint. For my facials, I usually see esthetician, Amanda. She is WONDERFUL! And for massages, I have had different therapists each time and they were all GREAT! Also love the products they use for facials and massages, not heavily scented and gentle on the skin.

I had an hour long massage with Brittney for a muscle tweak in my upper back. It was absolutely amazing and really helped with the tweak. It was creative, substantive, focused on my issue, and somehow managed to be deep pressure without being uncomfortable (except in the tweak area, where I think that was necessary/a sign of progress). Anyway, I highly recommend Brittney overall, and specifically for muscle tweaks.

I had the best massage ever this morning. My Therapist Brittney Gardner was very Professional & knowledgeable. I’m a nurse and I have had plenty of bodywork. I know a good massage!!! Brittney is a gift from God, a true healer! I got up from the table feeling inspired & light as a feather. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!

This was my first massage with Brittney G and I feel so refreshed. As an active working mom, it’s hard to make time for self-care and R&R.My body is relaxed and the aches, tension and for my usual trouble spots, finally feel relief.I will definitely be back and highly recommend Britteny for anyone who lives an physically active lifestyle.

I’ve been to the Brentwood location many times for massages and have had good experiences. However, I went in for a mani/pedi a few days ago and am really disappointed. The manicurist was very nice but my nails chipped hours after I left, and less than 48 hours later, all of the polish popped off of one nail! My pedicure was relaxing but my feet don’t look any different than they did before I came in (with the exception of different polish). I won’t be booking a mani/pedi again.

I used to get monthly facials pre-pandemic, and was looking forward to my first appointment in a year at The Face and the Body. The place seemed quiet, not many people there. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and taken to the treatment area. After a short consultation with the aesthetician, she went to work. All the products smelled nice, but I wasnt told what any of them were. After applying a mask, she left for about 20 minutes. When all was said and done, I was disappointed in my very expensive facial ($150 with tip, for not quite 60 minutes). The facial included extractions, but one side of my face was completely ignored, no attention given to the nose area. After I left, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw bits of the face mask were left in my ears. Later that afternoon I found a few more shreds under my chin. Overall, it was more of a careless, rushed, slapdash faciaI. I didnt feel that there was focused attention on my skins needs.This was just not the luxurious experience that should have been, based on the price. I was very disappointed.Edit: the manager kindly called me today to express her dismay about my experience at her spa. Based on our conversation and her invitation for me to return, I will book another appointment in a few weeks and look forward to trying again. Thank you, Peggy. I appreciate your care and concern.

I received the best massage I’ve had in YEARS from Brittany. She communicated with me to know exactly what pressure I needed and the areas that I needed worked. She was fantastic. I will definitely be returning to her!

The stylist was super nice, but when I got home I looked at my hair and was super upset. It was really orange and I asked for an ombre with a coffee colors with a picture. My hair pulls reds, but then there should have been a toner done. There wasnt a big difference in colors, hardly making it feel like an ombre. I didnt get a full dye job, but I later noticed I did get charged for it. I paid $230, which this was a splurge for me. I tired to fix it with purple shampoo and conditioner with no luck. Every time I look at my hair Im sooo upset to the point of crying. Ive now added toner to try to fix it and looks like nothing has been done. Now Ive wasted at least $250 for nothing. I got this done over a month ago and Im still extremely upset and mad. I told my husband to NEVER buy me a gift card there again.Responding to the owners question. No I did not. I didnt see the point. I didnt think it was going to get better and I didnt want to throw more money that I didnt have at my hair.

My age intervention facial with Lexie was wonderful! I loved the jelly mask & the chilled glass globes. She is a very knowledgeable esthetician. My blah winter skin is so much brighter & smoother.

I had a massage today. I was so disappointed with it. I didn’t feel that the room was clean and the lotion didn’t smell good at all or the room for that matter. I didn’t feel relaxed or welcomed by the lady that did my massage. The front desk was friendly though. The massage wasn’t worth the money. So bad because it used to be my favorite place won’t go back again.

Today was my first time here and it was amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxing, especially back where the spa rooms are! I saw David for my first time getting dermaplaning done, along with a peel. He made the experience very relaxing for me. He is very knowledgeable about skin and the products they use. I will be going back to see him!!

Unfortunately this did not feel like a spa experience at all. My friend and I wanted to enjoy a moms day out and we got the Travelers Retreat spa package. When walking in, the lobby was nice and welcoming. We were asked to walk ourselves to the back after checking in. First we ended up in the kitchen as we were provided no guidance as to where exactly to go other than you can go to the back, this was our first time there. We sat in a waiting area with multiple other people before one by one being taken back to our rooms. The massage was fine, nothing special however the bed was very uncomfortable felt like a folding table. The sheets were cold along with the lotion and oils. Once the massage was done, we were asks to get dressed again and wait in a waiting area with tons of traffic walking through, losing the retreat spa vibe . My friend and I switch and it was my turn for a facial and her a massage. The facial was below par. The bed was even more uncomfortable and the room felt like a doctors office. At one point my esthetician left the room with her phone that was connected to a speaker playing music. The further she walked away, the more the speaker was cutting in and out. At one point the music stopped all together and I was just laying in silence with some type of product on my face, not sure what it was. The steam was only used on my left side of the face, which I thought was odd. We then moved onto the pedicure which seemed rushed. We really wanted to enjoy the day and now it was more of a joke of how terrible the experience was.

Britt was so friendly and welcoming! I thoroughly enjoyed the Swedish massage. She focused on all the areas I needed with the right amount of pressure. I would highly recommend her.

I had a facial with Lexi and she was amazing. She was super professional, knowledgeable and was an absolute treat to talk to. I will be back just for her. Plus, my skin feels great. Thank you Lexi!

For over a year now I have had the pleasure of receiving deep tissue massages from Brittney G. I have been making a return to long distance running and my feet and legs are often exhausted. Brittney is a blessing. The front desk staff is also kind and efficient. Highly recommend!!!

Lexi Barnett was amazing! I had a hydrafacial with her and decided to bring my teenage daughter in the next week. It was my daughter’s first facial ever. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back to see Lexi!

BRIANNA RYAN was my aesthetician & I literally cried on her table due to her calm energy, mad dermaplaning skills & knowledge of care & products. TOMMY omg was an incredibly helpful angel at the end of my spa treatments with helpful tips & kind words to bring the whole experience on home! Amber is amazing! Today I had a Platinum Hydrafacial with her. She’s very informative about the process of the hydrafacial when I asked. Also her room is super cute and decorated! I will be telling all of my friends about her!

Overall great experience. The spa was clean and comfortable. I did not encounter any rude employees. My esthetician was welcoming and friendly. Only taking away one star because she did not explain the steps of the facial as she was doing it. (Except for when she did the extractions)

The Face & Body is my go to place to be pampered. The first people you see when you walk in the door form your opinion of a business. Carrie is always smiling, always cheerful and very willing to assist me. Carrie helps to make my spa experience wonderful and relaxing, just as it should be!

Had a facial done through a Groupon. My aesthetician was amazing, she was so nice and calming. She walked me through everything she was doing, which I loved because I’d never had a facial before. 100% would go back.

I have been here before and it was always a good experience, but it was even better this time. They now have a chiropractor in house. His name is Moses and he has already helped me so much. He does massage and manipulation and I can now move easier in addition to being relaxed. Already made another appointment. Yippee!

I had a facial and massage, both ladies were extremely nice and polite. I wasnt impressed with the products used in the facial, I think they use maduro. But the woman was nice, the steamer felt great, and the atmosphere in the building is relaxing. I had the best massage therapist, Susan. Will definitely go back to her. Actually applies pressure and works out knots!

Got a Swedish massage. Prices were advertised as $89 but it was $98! The massage was so-so. I will not go back! Barely massaged the legs...only the back of them not the front. I was not impressed with Cherie. She never introduced herself, only knew her name when I checked out & saw her name on receipt.

Amber D has been amazing at making me comfortable by doing such a great job explaining the process and being so friendly and helpful with my questions. Lazering my bikini is now an enjoyable process thanks to her! I highly recommend!!!

I treat myself to a massage once a month with Allison and it is the best thing that I do for myself! She is intuitive and knowledgeable and really helped when I had a knee injury. I look forward to seeing her every month!

I was throughly disappointed with my visit,which started 30 minutes late and no one really while I sat there first indication of the way things would go. I had a manicure and pedicure scheduled the manicure was okay but the pedicure was an awful experience for me the water was not even warm and I was supposed to get an hour treatment time which I didnt get because they had another client scheduled for 7:15 when they close at 8:00 in the evening. I wasnt asked how short I wanted my toe nails which she cut way too short then on a couple occasions while she was doing the pedicure was painful I was not aware that she actually made me bleed on one of my toes until I left the salon. I also has issues when I went to pay regarding their 20.00 dollar new client offer that I was told I could use with a Mani/pedi appointment when I booked it. Im sorry but for the money the charge the quality is not there.

I purchased the Groupon for laser treatments about a year ago and just had my last treatment and have been pleased with the reduction of hair throughout the year. The staff does a great job: my nurses/ laser technicians (one went on maternity leave and another took her place) were both wonderful ladies--easy to talk to, took their time, and were very friendly.I would give 5 stars except that on my last visit , 11 days ago, the laser burned both my shins and the skin just above my knees. It looks like leopard spots on my shins and still stings when that area touches any hard surface.Ive got a call in to their clinic and will update this review after being treated for the burns.

I can’t say enough about Lexi B! My regular waxer was out of town so I decided to come to the face and body . The whole experience was wonderful, from the time I checked in until the time I left. Best Brazilian wax of my life, she made me feel so comfortable and it was honestly so efficient and quick. I will deff be coming back.

I have very visible broken capillaries on my cheeks and other areas of the face that have made me extremely self conscious and embarrassed to be seen without makeup. I have been looking for a solution that would allow me to go makeup free and feel confident. After doing some research I decided that an IPL photo facial might be the answer I was looking for, so I purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment with Joan. Joan is extremely knowledgeable and explained how the procedure works, how long it will take to see results, and how many sessions I would need to get my desired result. After one treatment the broken red capillaries were reduced by 50%. I WAS AMAZED!! I received the second treatment today and could see even more results immediately afterwards. If you are looking for a solution to similar skin issues this might be a great option for you. Joan is a true professional who is passionate about her work. I cant wait to see the results after my final treatment!!

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you’re black! I have had the worst experience ever from the customer service all the way to to the procedures I had done. The first time I came in i came in concerning my acne from wearing face mask, the lady recommended a detox but made me feel SO little. The whole time she did the procedure she insulted my face and tried to sell me products instead of trying to help me with my problem, I had my mind made up that I wouldn’t go back but I decided to give them a 2nd chance because I wanted a chemical peel to get rid of the dark spots the “maskne” left, considering most places in stl you have to be an existing patient. Dough did my chemical peel and customer service was awesome! I honestly just felt like he didn’t know how to deal with melanin skin, he kept comparing me to his other black patients which made me feel uncomfortable because everyone’s skin is different! My face did not peel at all except around my lips it’s been a month and I am not satisfied I do not see any results. I’ve been calling to see what they would recommend and I’ve basically been giving the run around. I told them I’d except another peel if they cover it, they talked as if they didn’t care for me or my skin! DO NOT GO HERE WASTE OF MONEY GO TO SOMEONE WHO CARES... when I called to talk with a manager she literally did not car and hung up on me.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my mom. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with this business and she gets really sad every time she thinks about it. My mom got a laser hair removal package as a gift for her birthday. Now, this was something my mother had really wanted but would never buy for herself. She was sooo excited to receive it and began immediately going to Brentwood the face and the body. They told her that she would only need this package (it had a set number of appointments) to remove all the hair. As she kept going to appointments she didn’t notice any changes in her unwanted hair. She told the technicians and they just relied with ‘oh that’s strange but you should be soon’ etc. My mom kept going and trusted these people as they barely turned the laser up each time. She continued to never experience any hair loss. On the last appointment she went in and they informed her that she would have to buy another 400 dollar package and that that was normal. She told them that this was a birthday present, her only birthday present, and that she couldn’t afford another package. And that they had never told her she may need another package. They acted like they had. She still hasn’t experienced any hair loss. These people duped my hardworking mother and then tried to act like nothing happened. It would be different if at the beginning they had said ‘it’s pretty normal for people to need more than one package’. But they didn’t! They deliberately neglected the truth and lied to her. I also deepest that they didn’t turn the laser up as much as they should have. This review is to warn people not to give this place any of your hard earned money. I’ve read some reviews and it seems like they can be totally fine and then suddenly have horrible service. Don’t waste your time at a place that treats people like this.

I made an appointment with Jerrianne many, many years ago, and have stuck with her ever since. She is so welcoming, and friendly, and knows exactly what my skin needs. I have been going to Jerrianne every six weeks for years now...its like she is a part of my family.

Nice atmosphere, refreshments, staff always friendly and make things easy. Massage therapists are good, but for the high price +tip I wonder how much of that goes directly to the therapist. I recently learned that F&B does not allow their therapists to work independently.

I didnt have the same luck with hair services here, but that may be because I wont pay the fees associated with the most experienced stylist. I overheard her conversation with staff at the (Brentwood) Face & Body..I was working at home this morning, & my wife noticed a Google Calendar reminder of a Spa appointment today..She tried to reschedule her appointment & spoke to (2) staff members..The 2nd person was VERY LOUD & RUDE..TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!! She was over-talking, interrupting my wife CONSTANTLY..She couldnt speak..We understand the 24 hour cancelation policy & it was a Groupon..This was NOT about the MONEY! My wife wanted to let the staff know this was an extenuating circumstance- SHE IS SICK TODAY!! A spa appointment was the last thing on her mind..She got the reminder & called the SPA..We definitely understand polices, rules, etc..Our issue is not with the POLICY of: NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELATIONS WITHOUT 24 HOURS NOTICE, our disdain is with the Staff & their telephone etiquette!My wife was never argumentative, never used profanity, she just wanted to reschedule, if possible, due to sickness.. Were not using deceit, or fabricating a story! & We both understand companies policies & standards..We have been in the workforce for over 30 + years in Fortune 500 companies..We know at times a company can go beyond what is written..We just wanted to share this experience with the PUBLIC..We are not asking for a Refund, Reply, or anything else..WE WILL NEVER USE THIS SPA OR ANY OTHER FACE & BODY LOCATIONS! The service providers I have used during the past three years at the Brentwood location have been excellent. Unfortunately, this location (and in several instances the Chesterfield location) is very poorly managed. Most of the time, it is extremely difficult and frustrating to book appointments. Reception/Scheduling is often understaffed, phone wait times are absurd and when you finally speak with someone, the individual is generally clueless and offers no assistance. The salon loses clients and substantial fees due to poor customer service. It is truly a shame but this problem has continued for years. If my providers went somewhere else, I would immediately stop going to this establishment as it is definitely not worth the wasted time and headaches.

I have been doing Laser hair removal plus other services here. Manicures and pedicures are great with Tayna but I have had 3 different technicians doing laser hair removal. The first was awful the second okand the third great. The person who did my third one left that day after mine. They obviously have a problem keeping good peoplethe second was ok

The Face and the Body in Brentwood is pretty decent at making you feel pampered from the services Ive tried (eyebrow waxing, makeup consultation/demo, hairstyling, laser hair removal, hand paraffin) however, despite what they say they are definitely NOT trans friendly. I got in touch with them before booking to ensure they were okay with transwomen being treated there. I was assured that they treat transwomen at every phase of their transition. I dont doubt this, I do doubt that any transwoman who goes feels comfortable with their visit. When you go in and get your hair done they dont take your difference in hairline into account, and make you feel very self conscious. When you go in for laser hair removal they always misgender you, especially the head of the med spa. And if you had ever given them your former name...they will use that. Every time. I had one laser technician tell me that she was Christian so she couldnt approve of what I was doing. Also when they do your makeup, you always end up looking like youre in drag, not just trying to look a little cuter. If youre trans, pay the extra money and go somewhere that will treat you with respect.

I had a facial with kayla... she is the ABSOLUTELY BEST!!! answering all my questions, suggesting products to take care of my face, super careful with every step she was doing (cause I never had a facial before)... always letting me know what was next and what she was putting in my face and what was it for... definently recommend her and the staff was really nice too!!!

After being a loyal customer (including a member) for quite some time, I will no longer frequent this business. Following an inappropriate incident during a massage, I requested to meet with the manager, Maria, who immediately dismissed my concerns. When I attempted to reach the owner, Peggy, on multiple occasions she did not return my calls or messages. The poor customer service/management was appalling and disappointing.

I’ve paid less for better mani/pedis… was supposed to have a 75 min appointment. I was asked to wait in a specific area for the technician. She was late in coming to get me. When I asked for more detail she stated she didn’t have time. I pointed out that I was supposed to have a 75 minute appointment and it started late. She then proceeded to tell me she is NEVER late and wouldn’t let it go although I pointed out her exact wording when she came and got me was “oh here you are I found you.” Won’t return for this service.

I had a massage with Brittney Gardner. Let me tell you that she was phenomenal. Every muscle that needed to be touch she got it. For my next massage I definitely will ask for her.

I was disappointed in the overall pedicure. I went in for the $59 aromatherapy pedicure. The esthetician was EXTREMELY nice, talkative and very kind. Unfortunately the service was not worth the $59 dollar and I have received better pedicures at independent nail salons (and cheaper). The lotion and products used were very basic. The cuticles and dry skin around the nail beds were not cut back. My feet were scrubbed with a tool that was a pumice stone on a handle (OPI printed on it). Not sure how that took was disinfected? I am also concerned that the tools only seemed to be soaking in a clear liquid versus the blue barbicide fluid that you see at nail Salons. Not worth the $59 for the pedicure.

First I’d like to say this was my first time here and I was not impressed. It’s is very nice and clean inside but they 2 girls that were at the front registers were not very professional at all. IWas sitting waiting and they were talking and complaining about staff members. My nail tech was very nice but for $59 my toe nails look horrible not cleaned up at all. I will send photos. I was warned not to come to this location now I see why. Won’t be back

Ive had a a couple very different experiences here. I used to get monthly massages, but that was until the day that my massage therapist put my back out. It took me months to recover from it. That was a couple years ago, and since then Ive gone back for an IPL treatment ( they had a Groupon deal). I thought the person doing my IPL was very knowledgeable and did very well with it. Their IPL laser head is smaller than ones at other companies so it is able to get into smaller areas like your temples and closer to your hairline. My only complaint now is that on three separate occasions Ive tried to call this location and no one ever answers...it doesnt matter what time of the day it is. So its become a pain in the butt to ever make another appointment with them. Once Im done with my groupon, I think Ill find somewhere else to go. Too much of a hassle.

I was a little late for my appt, (was about 10 minutes late I admit due to a screaming toddler) and after waiting another 5 to get checked in because both front desk attendants were on the phone I was brought back for my spa pedicure and spa manicure. The person doing my nails rushed to the front, started whispering to the front desk people and then came back and told me since I was late I couldn’t get the manicure I asked for. She said I would make her late for her other clients. Mind you, I don’t come here very often, and I am a new client with this person, but she made it sure I will never come back. I almost walked out but decided to get a pedicure and then leave. They are rude and not accommodating... I asked to get a gel manicure instead and was told “that’s not the appt you booked, sorry.” Customer service is dead here. Go somewhere else.

Upon arrival and a short wait for a receptionist to get off the phone, I was told that I didnt have an appointment because in January their computers crashed and they lost of few appointments... The receptionist didnt bother to apologize, but instead told me that she didnt have time for me today and decided to offer me the next appointment available, which was more than a month away. I told them that was unacceptable and she started looking for a different appointment! I requested a refund of money paid and left.

*****UPDATE: The Face & The Body did decide to refund my money. I am happy that they made this decision***** Terrible customer service and I will never be back. I have never written a bad review about any business (check all my prior reviews), but The Face & the Body is so awful, I feel compelled to do so. Also, I just discovered that they are rated a D- with the Better Business Bureau if that tells you anything. I bought a Living Social voucher through The Face & the Body for an IPL facial treatment for $99. Nowhere on the voucher did it state that they recommend more than one treatment to see any results. However AFTER the service is performed, they give you paperwork saying they recommend 3 IPL treatments. After calling and complaining, the manager told me they recommend several treatments to see results. Why wouldnt that language be on the Living Social voucher? I called and said the Living Social was misleading, and basically they offered no resolution. I have had this treatment done elsewhere in St. Louis, and saw HUGE results after one IPL treatment (I assume The Face & the Body doesnt have as good of equipment as other places). Also, when I made the appointment at Face & the Body, as well as when I was called to reschedule, I made the receptionist aware that I had a wedding in two weeks, and was never told that I would need to come in more than once to see any results. Their Living Social vouchers are a scam to make you come in and be forced to spend more money since their voucher says limit is one per customer. Their website states an individual IPL is $394 ($99 + $394 +$394 = $887). I have had an IPL years ago at another place in St. Louis and it was $350 and I had to go ONE time. Also, the owner of The Face & the Body would never speak with me herself, and made her managers be the ones to tell me they would not give me a refund or do anything for me. Who runs a business this way? They never offered anything to make it right such as a discount. They truly dont care if you are happy or not. I will never go back and will tell anyone I know to avoid this place.

You can NEVER get in so that 2 or more people can experience a service together and there are no refunds on gift certificates at EITHER location. So inconvenient. Booking weeks in advance for a pedicure in a weekday? Crazy. Shouldnt be so difficult to have 3 people sit side by side and get a pedi together...or a manicure. Sounds like they arent properly staffed.

This was my first experience at The Face & Body. I was very pleased with all of the staff. This was also my first massage in awhile, Ashland did a great job at customizing it to meet my needs.

The receptionists at the Brentwood location are AWFUL. I have been to this location several times. In the past the receptionists were dissmissive and didnt acknowledge me when I came in but I overlooked it because I received great services.Today, I had to speak up. I witnessed 2 of the receptionists picking on a male employee while 2 other employees watched. The tone in the ladies voices were rude and when the gentleman asked why are u saying that they just continued. That young man did not warrant or deserve that AT ALL and even after experiencing that with those ladies, he acknowledged me and smiled.Bullying is wrong and management needs to do something about it. I plan on making a formal complaint and hope that things change.

Got a massage from Chris at Brentwood. It was very good. No complains. The reception and booking process was awful. They ignored my phonecall, put me on hold for over 20min and never got back on the line. It took me over 40 min to make an actual appointment. They were rude.
