This is like the worst place to stay. I had a very bad experience with the room being so dirty. The beds had animal hair / furr all over, and the beds smelled so nasty. The bedsheets had fresh blood. Good thing we always carry extra blankets when we travel. We had to remove all the hotel bedding. We used our own. The floors were so diry and sticky. The room was so rundown. It seriously needs remodeling. I would give it a one star🌟 . I paid $79 for a room. That I was not able to enjoy staying.
This stay at OYO has been a wonderful blessing!!! My husband had a few weeks of being in limbo over at the Chapman Annex, and this has been perfect for that time! He doesnt have to drive far and the Lackland base is literally across the fence! It has been such a safe, comfortable environment. The room/facilities are very basic, simple, and humble but clean and just what we needed!! The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful! The cleaning ladies were so kind and helpful! Also, the maintenance guy was very personable! If you are looking for fancy, this isnt for you, but if you are looking for clean and affordable....this would be perfect!I saw in the comments that someone mentioned not having hot water...we had the same issue, but learned that we could turn on the sink hot water and shower at the same time and the hot water would come out. It just took a few minutes to warm up.This would be perfect for anyone military on a budget! They were very gracious to us as well as being very welcoming of our puppy dog. We were very thankful for the time we were able to stay here!
I wish I can rate this place 0. To believe a place has customer service would be an understatement. I arrived late in the afternoon from check in I would say I arrived at 7pm We had water dripping from the exhaust fan right above the toilet, when brought up to the front desk he tried to argue on what was dripping and after the back and forth he just ended up moving me rooms. The rooms are dirty they say they are non smoking and smell like cigarette smoke, when we arrive to the other room we realize it’s a little better then the 1st room it has tape holding up the panels in the ceiling and the lights wouldn’t even turn on. We left to grab dinner and as we are walking out there are people on bikes just starting you down! At my return I went to rinse my babies bottle and the water was not draining I waited for about 20-30 mins before doing anything and it was just standing water I went back to the front desk to tell the guy and he argued with me that this isn’t a luxury hotel and that the other room wasn’t even that much water dripping it’s from the A/C these rooms don’t even have running A/C that way they have to window A/Cs on the wall. At that point all I wanted was to leave and go look for somewhere else to stay. I paid cash at check in and he stated I would have to call the 3rd party I booked with and I said I’m sorry but I paid you cash and I got on the phone to call the company I booked with at that point he said he would refund me for the remaining stays but had to charge me for the night knowing very well I was there no more than 2 hrs and half that time was moving my stuff and arguing with him. After all I received a call from there customer service only for them to say the front desk said I stayed for 1 night and there was nothing they can do on the refund I requested! Don’t STAY HERE the rooms are dirty and they don’t care about you they just care about the money!
Great location, just at the.Lackland Airforce Base security gates but that being said because of the location I would have expected the level of quality and cleanliness to be at least acceptable. The dirt and grime build up on the floors and nicotine on curtains and walls was more than I could handle, and I am a smoker. We checked in late and my husband had work @ 5am so he just absolutely needed a couple hours of sleep. After dropping him off, because of the uncomfortableness I did not return to the room: Instead I went to the nearest Walmart and my Dog and I slept peacefully there. Will not recommend or return to this motel.
This was an absolute dump. Do not stay here, the room we had was absolutely non functional. Couldnt use the water because faucet was broken, hole in the ceiling, wires hanging from ceiling, not mentioned what appeared to be blood and grim on the shower curtain. Roach infested, this place should be shut down. Shame on any rental agencys keeping this dump in business.
Visited year ago. Payed in advance, once arrived there was no room for us as hotel was overbooked and we had to pay twice, booking another hotel. We were assured that we will get refund in 14 days but it never happened. Its been more than one year already, still no refund, phone calls are ignored same as emails
You will definitely get what you pay for here so don’t expect any luxuries. Don’t expect any bells and whistles. This is strictly bottom of the barrel. You Get a bed and the shower For however many night you need And that’s it. The parking lot is dirty and full of potholes. There is absolutely no curb appeal.
Absolutley horrible there was a blood stain on my sheets. I had no hot water, there was hair in the sink and on the bed from previous owner and the places is bug infested.i have bug bites on my hands and stomach. Needs to be remodeled asap. The pictures do not depict nowhere near as what it is in person.
Great for the price got a great deal for 2 nights. Room 258 needed a lil work but was decent and overall clean. Staff was nice and mind their business. Pool was a lot of fun for the kids. Location is nice alot of restaurants in the area and a HEB. Would definitely book again.
This location is freaking trash The TV did not work The AC did not work blow dryer did not work and as far as the AC goes I had to call the front office and tell him to switch rooms cuz thats unacceptable for sure and as another thing that happened was just freaking rust all over the toilet and inside the tub. very ugly spot stay at do not waste your money here even on Priceline prices still not even worth the half price
Rude employee. Indian guy on April 28th refused to give back my ID. I made reservation on phone, but the receptionist says there is no reservation on my phone. I wanted to leave but He was not giving back my ID. that guy is dangerious.
Service was exceptional, the front desk was very polite and quick. No other issues and checkout was quick and easy
The toilet is clogged and the pool is not well maintained, the ceiling is kind of falling apart, close to the base which is why I chosen it as a place to stay, a great location, needs to be tidy up and repaired and its all good.
It is a nice hotel for the money. Beds are comfortable. Room was clean and spacious. Will stay again.
I have stayed here 3 nights per week all of August.Overall, its rough. There is no coffee maker, holes in the walls & ceiling, warped floors. If you dont mind waking up in the middle of the night to slap roaches crawling across your face, then its not so bad. During that time, only one half of the building has hot water. Every time I stay on the side that faces the Air Force base, the water is cold. The worst part is that they do not honor their agreement when you have a pre-paid booking. The receptionist told me the price of room was too low and cancelled my reservation DESPITE having an email and phone confirmation that booking was confirmed and paid for.
Customer service was great.Just rooms are filthy, smelly, sheets have stains, walls are dirty, mirror cracked, doors don’t shut properly
The only thing good about this hotel is that its next to the airforce base.Everything else, terrible! The photos dont even do it justice, it looks way worse in person. There were holes in the ceiling scrapes and stains on the furniture including inside the fridge. There was rust in the tub and the toilet looked ancient. There were even roaches! I did not feel comfortable at all and we checked out early as possible to get back home. This hotel is unsanitary. It was cheap and I understand you get what you pay for but I atleast think I deserve a ceiling with no holes in it no matter what I pay.
Great places friendly staff, housekeepers made sure I was had what I needed very convenient to stores n restaurants
Me and my dad books online when we got to hotel to check in was told by the front desk I can’t check in the room because of the discounted coupon I used he said I had to pay there price of 60$ plus tax’s which I booked for 54$All in All it was a bad experience not sure if it was because we were 2 black men.
If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay close to the Lackland AFB, go somewhere else. I made the mistake of not reading reviews before making a reservation. The lady upfront didn’t seem to know what she was doing. My original room 123 was roach infested, the room was dirty, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. I complained and was switched to a different room 126 that room was also roach infested and dirty. I reserved two rooms one for my parents and one for myself. My parents original room the ceiling in their bathroom was caving in so they were moved to a did room. My parents weren’t in the room long and my mom developed a rash from laying in the bed. Upon inspection there was little black clumps that looked a lot like bedbug poop. I would not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. I called and put in a complaint. They don’t want to return mine or my parents money. We will be making a claim with our banks and making a report to the health department. Do not come here this place is nastier than the streets.
We came to San Antonio to visit and mistakenly thought this would be a decent spot as it is near the base. We came and immediately were asked for a “cash only” deposit in case of damage or staining in the rooms. No problem but I specifically asked for a receipt as none was provided. I thought perhaps the deposit was a good thing, must keep the rooms up although still leery about the cash aspect. Upon entering, the floor was soft in spots, but the entire ceiling was falling in. See attached pictures. Upon calling corporate the response recieved was I’m sorry it won’t happen again. Of course it won’t because I would NEVER stay in anywhere like this again. STAY FAR AWAY FROM OYO!! 0 stars!
The room service is good and it’s quiet comfortable over all
Very convenient very clean affordable and great places to eat not motion H-E-B is right across the street
The cleaning lady came into our room at 8:30 in the morning. Even though we were yelling through the door that we were still there and no. We thankfully had the latch on the door but even though she clearly noticed the latch she still peered into the room for a good while before closing the door and leaving. I called to let the front office know that I was trying to sleep and didnt appreciate the woman coming into our room. At that point I could no longer sleep. At around 9 the cleaning staff came again and looked through our window another time. Then, she then came again 40 minutes before checkout placing her hands around her head and looking into our window that had the curtains completely drawn before coming to the door AGAIN although she clearly saw us! It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. We did not request a wakeup call and no one should just enter your room before checkout and they shouldnt be looking into guests rooms. Its an invasion of privacy. There are huge gaps between the door and door frame and if we could hear her and her cart she could definitely hear us yelling not to come in at 8:30AM. When she came again I decided to go and let management know and they seemed to not care at all. They did nothing about it besides calling the staff in who then lied about the whole thing saying they didnt know we were in there. Worst experience by far at a chain hotel. Cockroaches were present, nothing seemed clean, from the pillows and sheets to the handles and towel racks. Pay the extra couple dollars and stay somewhere else.
I hate giving bad reviews, but customer service wouldnt answer questions, hung up on me, and there is no late/after-hours check-in.
Rooms would be perfect if some small details were made. Its time for the room to get a make over due to wear and tear and age. Location is great. Plenty of food choices and HEB. Right outside of gate and visitors center for Airforce. Hotel night and day staff are wonderful. Definitely go above and beyond. Washer and Dryer on site. Working clean pool on site. Working ice machine on site. Although Pest control was on site one morning, we did find a huge Texas spider. HUGE. Bigger than a soda bottle cap. But over all the stay was very quiet and have convenient parking.
Rented rooms on March 19-21, pulling into the hotel it seemed sketchy. Locks on the door didn’t lock, beds had cigarette ashes and in a non smoking room. Not only ashes but bugs as well. Restrooms weren’t even maintained. My family did not feel safe there, seemed sketchy. Even had a loaded van pull up and about 10 people got off and ran into one room. That was the last straw. When asked the front desk about cancelling they told my wife to just cancel the credit card and report it lost. I guess it was an ongoing issue that’s happened plenty of times before. Immediately booked somewhere else. I tried calling customer service and was put on hold for over an hour and never got anyone on the line.
Disgusting! Cockroaches were everywhere, on my pillow, under my blanket and the hotel refused to offer me a refund after I checked out within 1 hour of being there. Don’t waste your time with this motel, just book an Airbnb.
I paid for 2 nights at this hotel, but I had to run the next day around 8 A.M. My wife and I couldnt sleep because of the horrible smell in room 246. 2 of the pillow they gave us had stain on them. The heavy blanket was very dirty. When I told the receptionist about the reason, I was checking out that early, and he didnt pay attention to me. What a waste of money. You guys judge.
Booked a 2 night stay for a mini family vacation and ended up checking out after 1 night. The bugs were so bad we slept with the lights on. This room was just littered with roaches. The TV did not work, the walls were disgusting and we had to walk around with our shoes on the entire time. This was the worst room I have EVER booked anywhere.
Great price and friendly staff but.... cockroaches.... and holes in the walls, disturbing stain in bathtub, not so clean bedding. Not to mention I was too scared to sleep. No lighting in one hallway. Its the perfect place to get attacked.
Nice affordable place right next to base for all military members!
The first room I was supposed to stay in, the electric key card would open the door, but the door itself would only open about half an inch and then wouldn’t budge, when I told the front desk clerk he told me to “Lift up on the door” , didn’t work, I even tried body slamming the door open, nothing. So I got moved to another room. And the next one, The room is a disaster, rotting floor, roaches everywhere from the beds to the dresser. EVERYWHERE, the deadbolt doesn’t work, the bathroom light doesn’t work and looks like something out of a horror movie. Don’t waste your money there’s a reason why the rates are so cheap.
Higly disappointed and will not stay again NOR would I recommend. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel property is the location to JBSA. It is literally situated maybe a thousand feet or so from the front gate of the base. Otherwise, there is nothing really positive to say about his property other than us leaving. Its almost a pay-by-the-hour quality facility. Sad! Besides the crawlies that we had to kill: the cleanliness was unacceptable. I had to go to the market to purchase isopropyl alcohol and wipes to clean and wipe down all the surfaces, clean toilets, and report the bathroom motorized fan literally hanging from the ceiling. Outrageous. The toilet was not working properly - running constantly. When I went to the front desk; if thats what you call it, the actual owner was working the desk - an employee gave us the heads up on that. The owner was less than cooperative or even understanding or even apologetic of our concerns. He literally shrugged his shoulders as I addressed the cleanliness issues. I was highly disappointed how VERY little he cared. I was annoyed especially at having to clean a room that should have already been cleaned. The icing on the cake besides the poor quality of the hotel overall (we got 2 rooms) is that our military personnel utilze this budget motel out of necessity. I was upset that our valued service personnel are treated like this and subjected to this! The owner should be ashamed at how he poorly maintains the property KNOWING our service members frequent this location only out of convenience and budgetary concerns. Shame on him and OYO hotels. We would have left had we not paid in advance with a nonrefundable payment (and we had to think hard about NOT leaving). I read the other reviews and Im bewildered at the positive ratings?? We could not have stayed at the same place! No way. Dont stay at this property. It is better they go out of business than disrespect our service members and their customers. Sleep in your car if you have to.
Front desk guy was very friendly but this place is a dump.Roaches all over.Room was very dirty. Bar of soap from the previous guest was left in the shower. Walls were covered in unidentifiable grime.Hole in the bathroom ceiling. Rust on everything. Toilet seat was half off the toilet it was so loose.Place stank. This place is a step up from an actual trap house I guess.
Rooms are ok except for the bathroom it looks a little beat up. 104The beds are good.Service was not good. I did not get much wifi in the room I was in 104 and Iask 2 people at the front office and they couldnt do anything. Bad customer service.House keeping acts as if they are doing you a favor by cleaning your room. They come in early around 8 am to clean and if you are not out of your room they will not clean it.Location is pretty good. They have alot of restaurants and places to buy. And its next to the air force base entry.H.E.B Is like a Walmart on steroids.
Stayed there for two months. Emmanuel the guy at the front desk is awesome 😎. For all the rest, you take what you give. Maybe what really needs improvement is the housekeeping. Overall, its a cheap solution, for those who dont care about accomodation luxuries.
Perfect location for AF graduation. Clean rooms, run down but price was right. The pool was open but the hot tub was not,and there was garbage floating in it. Front desk guys were very friendly and helpful. All in all, not a bad place to stay for the price and location.
Failed to honor the reservation or issue a refund. The property is in extremely poor shape. The companies partially to poor ethics and deceptive practices speak of thievery on an internal level.
This place totally scammed me. I paid $335 for 5 nights and the person I talked to on the phone said there wouldnt be a deposit, even my confirmation email says no security deposit required yet when I went to go check in, they asked for a deposit. The man at the front desk told me that I could call the number back and request a refund since they didnt inform me of the deposit, which was ideal since I wanted to cancel my reservation anyways. I called and the representative also told me I could receive a refund. This was June 30th, its now almost a month later and Im still fighting them to get a refund. I keep being told that I cant get my money back, theyre ok with just taking $335 from me for a room that I didnt even check in to, because they told me not to!! This is just not right and Im not getting help from ANYONE.
The guy at the front desk was very nice! However the room we stayed in was very disgusting. The walls were very dirty! The tub was not draining because it was very clogged with hair. I had to unclog it by pulling the hair out of the drain so the water would actually drain. The sink took forever to drain as well. There were tiny roaches in the room and in the shower that I had to kill. Please save yourself some time and stay somewhere else
The roaches are unforgiveable; I slept with the lights on. The toilet trickled continuously and a feminine hygiene device hung on the inside bathroom door. Packets of shampoo were spread around the room, e.g. in drawers, on the closet shelf, and, of course, on the sink counter. In one instance, they were enmeshed in long hair.On the positive side, the wi-fi was good and the bed decent. The room had a large flat-screen tv.
Night clerk was rude to my wife who asked for more towels. We literally had only two towels for a room with four people. Rooms were disgusting. Stains everywhere. Toilet was broken and the room had no smoke alarms. Smelled like someone was chain smoking in the room that was supposedly a non smoking room. Have requested for the manager to call me and still no response 4+ days later. Do not stay here! Spend your money somewhere else.
RUN AWAY! DONT LOOK BACK! 100% complete ghetto hotel. I wouldnt even call it a hotel. Its more like a run down shack. Booked reservation thru Expedia. Get to the hotel. No reservation. They tell us Expedia cancelled it and now the room is $35 more per night. We called OYO customer service. They confirmed that the HOTEL, not Expedia cancelled our reservation. Then they tell us they tried to contact the hotel with no response. Who wouldve guessed. Now we had to book another hotel last minute and still fighting OYO over our refund. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! RUN!!
This place should be called cockroach hotel. But it gets two stars because it has a nice outdoor pool with a hot tub. The pool is clean. The room itself was dirty when we first came in. The dresser was dusty and the bathtub was dirty. The room was also infested with bugs.We talked to management about a refund and never got one. We stayed. After, customer service improved. The room was cleaned well regularly, too. The refrigerator had always been clean and worked nicely. One thing I noticed is that all of the staff was nice except for one man. He worked there and lived there, and he kept trying to lure me into his room until I said I wasnt interested in anything. He claimed to be a masseuse, and offered a massage. Super creepy. I dont know why any place would hire people like that. If you meet a guy who works there claiming to be a masseuse, run away.Overall, the nice things were the pool and the location right by Lackland Air Force Base. The downside was the bugs and the creepy guy. The outside of the hotel is being renovated. The inside definitely needs work, though, so hopefully thats next.
There were no bugs! The bed was comfortable and “looked” clean. The room was not clean, the floor was uneven, some unknown spot in between the beds and a Ross recent on the floor by the bed closest to the wall that was not ours and even looked old like it had bees there a while. Bathtub had yellow hard water stain and hair from another person, looked like a piece of cat food behind the toilet that moved when you sat on it. Water from sink spat at you and pieces of probably the faucet and pipes came out, and they required a 100 deposit, I honestly felt like I should have got paid to stay here. Had I book this hotel because another Drury in town had two rooms infested with roaches so bonus for us was there was no bugs!
Absolutely horrible. First room we came into, we saw bugs scurrying across the sheets, the couch was missing an entire cushion, there were stains on the sheets, and the fire alarm batteries needed to be replaced so they beeped loudly every couple minutes. We asked to be switched rooms, and upon going into the second room the light fixtures did not work at all and we saw a roach on the ceiling. When we told the clerk, all he offered was to cancel our reservation and showed little concern beyond that. I paid 58 dollars for one night there, and I didnt stay longer than 15 minutes, much less even sit down on a chair in either of the rooms. I was required to pay over email before I even got to the hotel, I assume so that I wouldnt see it first. It was about 11 at night, so I didnt bother calling for a refund since I really just wanted to sleep. When I called support later, they approved my refund, but it was barely 34 dollars. When I asked why, they said it was due to policy, and nothing further could be done. I dont normally do reviews, but Ive never seen such a wreched excuse of a hotel and had to deal with about the worst customer support ever as compensation. I wish I could give less than one star.
My experience in this place was nothing short of excellent. The gentleman in the front helped me chose an accommodating room for my allergic son, he took his time and went door by door showing me different rooms, so I may chose the best one for my son.My husband left an envelope with cash inside and the cleaning lady turned it in, I’m so greatful for the customer service provided by this hotel. The actual building is very old and run down. But I would stay again, if I were to be going on a short trip thank you so much 😊
Wish I could give it no stars! Worst hotel experience ever! First was in a non smoking room and there was cigarette aches everywhere! To top it off beds had hair on it and the microwave was nasty. Finally they move us to another room and it still smell but somewhat better. Toilet kept running water, there was a shortage in one of the plugs, and beds seemed like they hadnt been switched out. Went to get ice and the woman got mad because I was pressing the button and said I was going to break the motor. Overall horrible service and experience. All I can say was the housekeeper manager was nice and helpful.
The first room we were given had not been cleaned and one of the beds was not made from the last person staying in it.The room we were moved to had one working light in the sleeping area.
Booked over the phone & the annoying agent was quick to take my payment after i confirmed with him that there was no deposit required. Then he called me back 10min later to tell me he was wrong theres a $100 deposit required!!! AND HE DOESNT REFUND MY MONEY OR EVEN APOLOGIZE. THE ROOM WAS FILLED WITH ROACHES AND YOU COULD HEAR PEOPLE YELLING AND FIGHTING IN THE ROOM NExt door. Theres also cops posted right across the street pulling cars over. 😩👎👎🚫🚫🚫
I checked in got my key and was told there was a “trick to open the door. I should have known to walk away at that point. I went to the room and it was horrible. Tiles on the ceiling stained and falling down, Warped floor and stained walls. The toilet was constantly running and the room smelled of smoke. I went directly to the office where the guy was laying on the couch by the door. I said there was no way I was staying in the room they refunded me under the company name carefree inn. I got to my car and was notified by my card that OYO hotel had charged my card. They refunded the room but charged me a cancellation fee. Never stay here!
You get what you pay for!!Its right next to the base so I would imagine its safe .But as far as everything else , its hit and miss .Hot water is definitely the big issue .Everyone at the front desk has a different trick for it , but in reality it doesnt work properly .. Youre gonna get about 3 mins of warm water after that , its gone .House keeping isnt daily .. from what I hear its if they feel like it, depending on the number of check outs and if they are tired.Ask house keeping to do their job, and their jreply is Ill try ..smh .. as fat as looks go .. its your typical low grade maintenance plan. But all in all its a roof over your head .. not much more than that
I booked this place out of frustration after calling 4 other hotels and them being fully booked. I never heard of OYO and just didnt do any research, so thats on me. When I got there to check in, there was some middle aged man tweeking out in the lobby. Pretty good first impression. I got to my room and the door is shifted in a way that looks like someone had previously kicked it in. It would lock, but sunshine would still shine through the large crack in the door. There was mold on my bed sheets. I opened up a new roll of toilet paper and not only was there mold on it, but bugs crawled out of it. The floor was warped due to water damage. There was writing on the bathroom wall which I can only assume was written in blood. Also in the bathroom, the was a hold in the door from someone punching it. I had booked 2 weeks here and changed hotels after the first night.
Room was clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable, not soft, but not firm either. kind of a happy medium. It is right outside the gate to Lackland, going there for a graduation made this place very convenient to stay in. Staff was kind and more than accommodating. My only complaint at all was the shower, the shower head was clearly old and didnt spray water as once intended, it ended up in a single stream that made it difficult to use. Would surely recommend staying here to anyone looking to be near Lackland.
These hotel is not recommend. Everything is old. Fridge was not working. A/c took Long to cool. The room we got, it had roaches in the bed. They just had got exterminated. Request to move to another room, but wasnt going to risk my kids. I decided to cancel my reservation and asked for my money back. Bryan was very understanding, so he refund my money. Service was good. Just room needs an update, walls are cracked and ceiling looks like they would fall any time.
This place is gross! The rooms aren’t glaringly dirty but they also do not seem clean at all. Everything is also extremely old. The plastic around the bathtub was falling off and the ceiling is peeling off in a bunch of places. The tv remote was taped closed with the batteries entirely exposed. At least the door locked and we had a roof over our heads for the night. The hotel is located on an endless strip of sprawl with nothing remotely interesting or accessible close by.
Its a place to those who dont need fancy, only want to rest after a long day hanging around the city. The room is pretty good, the bathrooms door doesnt have a lock and the internet is quite weak, but its okay for me. Despite the quality of the place, I love the staff here, they treat the customer very well. The mechanic guy is very nice, he ran all the way around the motel to fix the problem for our room, even though it was 107 degrees outside; I forgot a stuff of mine there, and they held it on until I got someone there to pick up. I really appreciate what they have done for me.
For the price this was good, but you could fix it up a little bit
This hotel is definitely a place you stay if youre on a budget but hey it works if you are going on vacation (to SeaWorld) but you get what you pay for...the cleaning lady named Mary is just the sweetest. She was very helpful and cleaned my room and changed my sheets everyday after I left. Next time I think Ill do a little upgrade though
Cleanliness was a major concern. Black gunk was found on the side of the bed, sheets were inside out, cork by fridge was heavily molded and destroyed. Ceiling was falling apart. Bathroom light and ceiling fan were falling out of the ceiling. Sink was heavily cracked. There were lots of bugs squished around the place and then a whole Beatle found by our beds. Very dissatisfied and they refused to refund the money after telling them what we found. We first asked for a new room but was turned away as they were booked. However I seen reviews here after and seen others have had this issue to. I had a 1 year old staying with me and bugs are great for carrying disease. I hope my son wasnt exposed to anything
You will get what you paid for, with a few exceptions. While this place could use a serious overhaul, it is clean, bug free, and has a nice Continental breakfast worth checking out. No made to order omelets, but fresh made pastries and fruit. Coffee is pretty tasty too! Everything works although a bit creatively constructed. (Someone used a buzzsaw safety guard as a light cover! And it looks pretty cool!)Well worth it to stay here if you are serious about saving your money.Update: I must stress that while this place is rather well worn, it is very clean and free of bugs. It is also located close to the base, a grocery store, discount store, and several fast food restaurants within walking distance. It also has a pool that is well care for too.
No hot water. Cockroaches inside toilet by the bathtub holes by the exhaust fun and holes by the ceiling overhead by tv. Bathtub ia rusty.
Looks rundown and is currently getting restored. Shower heads are low with very little water pressure. Big TVs but little volume. The wall in my room had a footprint on the wall. Room size was decent. There was good breakfast and all in all a good experience.
I paid 117 a night. The sheets were not clean and had hair from the previous people. One bed actually had ugly yellow stains that looked like coffee or urine and some dirt.I grabbed a stirofoam cup from the coffee pot and it had bite marks -gross. Well i did get one night refunded. I only stayed there because it was close to the base but was not worth it. I wouldnt wouldnt stay there.
Booked online with booking.com. Requested a room with double beds to accommodate us and our 4 children. When we got there at 2am, they had sold our room to someone else. There was only one room left, a single king... This room looked like the room they never sell. Toilet was broken after 1 flush. No where to make a pallet on the floor for my older kids. Just not what we booked. The employee on site was very nice, but our overall experience was not great. We requested a refund and had to find somewhere else to go.
Sadly, wanted to see why this oyo has such a fair review. But it got struck down by some fishy business. I was going to stay with my fiance and her girls then i met the front desk lady. I dont remember a name but she was a shorter, built light skinned lady.. nonetheless she was trying to scam people, at least on the surface. There was no indication about there having to be a cash only fee and she charged the people in front of me $50 then when i go grab my cash she said oh i am sorry, it is actually $100. Like really? You work there and dont have a set amount for a deposit? Why does it have to be cash? Definitely ruined the weekend we were going to stay by the smell of all that fishiness..
I give the second star only because the position is perfect for entering the base. The room reeked of smoke, killed multiple roaches, the toilet moved when sat on it (implying floor weakness) and the hot water was only luke warm which did not last long. I have never before had to sleep with my head covered to make it through the night and the beds were very hard. However, we got out of there quickly in the morning because there was no desire to linger.
Stayed here since it was literally right outside the Air Force base gate where I needed to be for the next 5 days. Ive been in worse motels for more money but as much $$$ as these folks must be raking in every week because of the Air Force base visitors piling in every week, they should be ashamed of themselves for the outdated rooms. We had our room cleaned once, after the first night and then not again the rest of the week. Our AC unit quit working one morning and we called down and luckily by the time we came back that night, it was repaired and the room was cool. Some of the rooms looked like they had some updating done to them so I can only hope this place is on the mend. The beds werent bad and I actually got restful sleep each night. The pool was properly maintained and we got good use out of it in the evenings after spending all day in the July Texas sun.If you have more money to spend on another hotel, do it. If you are shoe-stringing it, this place will give you shelter at night. A basic breakfast is provided each morning with coffee, juice, cold cereal, bananas, frozen waffles & pancakes, as well as muffins and danishes. The staff in the office was polite and the morning we checked out early, we were provided pre-packaged muffins to take with us as we headed to the airport which I thought was very nice of him.
Needs to be renovated but not bad. Its inexpensive. Great location for visiting Lackland AFB; literally right outside the gate. Also, close to H.E.B (grocery store) and a Dollar General. Walls/floors are thin so you can hear a lot from other rooms. The shower had great water pressure and got hot fast. Sheets were clean. Had a microwave and a mini fridge. They also provide a small free breakfast; toast, muffins, cereal, Eggo waffles, bananas, coffee, juice. Most inexpensive places dont offer that.
Do not stay at this place. My sister was almost eaten alive by bed bugs. We stripped everything down in their room and the bed bugs were in the bed skirts(lots of them). The towels were filthy, bathrooms had no type of ventilation and tissue was poked in holes we had in the walls. My daughter and I were bit by spiders. They must give the worst rooms to certain color people telling by the reviews here. I recommend they shut this place down for a complete professional over haul.
So the price was good. But everything else was not. We had no toilet paper. Plug for the lamp was stripped bare. We only had 1 light other than the bathroom. Could hear every neighbor we had. The only good thing was housekeeping would come and clean any time.
This location is okay the only thing I liked about it was they have a washer & dryer for guests. I had gotten a room (3 nights) that the air conditioning didnt work, the fridge didnt work. Yes the guy fixed the air conditioning but when I told home about the fridge he told me I was gonna have to wait until the next day. He didnt bother checking to see if there was an available room that he could move me to because the fridge didnt work. The next day he didnt bother seeing if anyone could come fix the fridge not didnt bother moving me rooms after check out time the next day. Some of the plugs & lamps didnt work as well so I barely had any lighting in the room I got put in. Other than the guy not bothering to move me rooms or have someone come fix the fridge that was the only issue I had during my stay.
Very nice people, but I didnt have a good experience in 10 days. Rained & room got water from the roof, never had wifi available, room was not clean when I arrived it even had used soap, the walls inside the pool had old dirt, shower had more cold than hot water, my room was like a smokers room and I dont smoke, coffee maker was not clean inside. These are details that can be fixed whenever they want, and its cheap to fix them compared to the amount of customer$ received weekly...
For the price, pretty great. I live in hotels so Ive seen a lot. Stephanie was more than helpful and friendly.Location is good and they are updating the hotel. Bed was very nice. As well as a flat screen TV, fridge and microwave. For the money, its good.
This place was absolutely disgusting everything was decent apon arrival however right before bed i turned the light on to use the bathroom and dozens of cockroaches scattered about the counters and floors finding more and more. I couldnt even stay it was so bad. And when i brought this to managements attention they stated they were aware of the problem and inly gave excuses then when i asked for a refund they only gave me a portion of what i paid
This Inn is right next to the AFB. There are a lot of places to eat nearby, as well as an HEB right next door. There were two beds that fit our family of five, a refrigerator and microwave, a table with two chairs. The bathroom is small with only a toilet and bathtub. There did seem to be some issues with the hot water in our shower, although not in the bathtub. The sink is located outside the bathroom, next to a large closet and safe. The air conditioner worked great, the room did not smell, the sheets were clean. This is an outside entrance place, so if you need accessibility make sure you ask for a 1st floor room. They do serve breakfast: coffee, tea, oj, milk, cereal, toast, toaster waffles, pastries, muffins, and bananas. No hot breakfast, but there is enough to eat here if youre not being picky. This place is not the best, but it was a cheap, decent place to sleep for 4 nights and I would go there again.
Most of the things inside the room are rusty and outdated, I found a cockroach and a couple of bugs inside my room almost everyday. The walls have cracks in them and the celing and the walls are very thin. WiFi is alright, but not high speed like advertised. The hotel has a great variety of TV channels to keep you entertained. The staff are very nice. They have a little laundromat, but only two out of the 3 work. The lobby serves free breakfast for their guest, but honestly doesn’t look very good. Sometimes, the lobby smells kinda strange. But it’s very close to Lackland AFB, a good place to stay if you have a friend/family member graduating.
I was in town for my Husbands BMT Graduation and figured staying close to base was easiest. I had read some not so great reviews, but thought we wouldnt be in the room much anyhow.Positives: some of the front desk guys were really nice. The first was really sweet with my overactive daughter. Its extremely close to base. Theres a big TV and Wifi. Towels were clean.Negatives: We stayed in Room 108 downstairs. I cant speak for every room, but ours was a disaster. The fridge was falling out of its cubby and came out every time it needed to be opened. There were broken and damaged ceiling tiles all over but it was the worst in the bathroom. The walls and grout in the bathroom had holes, stains, and cracks. The toilet wasnt secured to the floor and moved around when sitting down. It also made a super loud noise when refilling after being flushed. The bathroom door sticked and squeaked when being opened. The front door of the room had no weather stipping and people could slide things under the door. You could see light and if it had rained, Im sure it could flood the room. Last, but not least... the first night, my 4 year old daughter said she squished an ant. I didnt think much of it because it was one ant, but on night 2, I went to the bathroom and when I turned on the light, 6 or 7 cockroaches scattered into the cracked walls and under the toilet. I went to the front desk and the guy didnt really seem surprised or to care much. He handed me some Raid and said if I wanted to change rooms, they might have another room the next day (maybe), but he couldnt promise that it would be free of bugs. We left the next morning. Im glad some seem to have a fine stay, but it was not a good experience for us at all. I would never recommend or stay there myself again.
DO NOT STAY HERE! I know you are all reading the reviews thinking it vant really be that bad, but it is. My room was disgusting, the tub had water in it leaking from the ceiling, the floors were dirty, it looked like the place hadnt been vacuumed in a month. My sheets were stained with what looked like blood, and they didnt replace them after I had called the front desk. The manager is extremely rude and doesnt care about your problems with the rooms at all. If you can stay on base I would highly recommend spending the extra money to do so. If not seriously stay at any other hotel. The only nice thing about this place is that you are right next to the base, but its really not worth it to stay here.
If I could give no stars I would. The pictures was super deceitful. I get to the room there is no smoke detector, these are holes in the ceiling, there was a lizard in the restroom which I was terrified of, tv did not work, no WiFi even tho there was suppose to be free WiFi and free cable! There was no way to call the front desk. The phone was dirty like it had never been cleaned and I wasn’t going to touch it since they was suppose to keep everything clean with this pandemic going on! My husband even feels it should be closed down!!! PLEASE DONT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!!
I normally don’t write reviews however this motel was beyond horrendous. The door was falling apart in the bathroom, dirty floors, peeling paint on walls, ceiling panels on verge of falling, rude front desk receptionist, stained towels, unusable microwave, smelled, facet in tub hard to use, low water pressure, water was either too hot or cold, the shower head was rusted and the shower curtain holder as well. Not worth the price. They also recently changed names and management however have not updated anything other than the sign. False advertisement at its finest.
Room smelled like someone had smoked a whole pack of cigarettes right before we came in. The bathroom was disgusting. The walls and ceiling are crumbling and the beds are hard as a rock. The only redeeming thing about the room is the air conditioning it actually worked. For the price it was a rip off. But if you need shelter and you dont care about quality then this place is fine. Last night was rough.
The managers here were awesome, nice, helpful, informative. My room was clean. And the complimentary breakfast was good, always filled in the morning, coffee was hot and fresh. They allow dogs there. Our dogs are well behaved so didnt have to worry much. The base entry is 5mins (walking) from the hotel. HEB is across the street, so are a few fast food restaurants. The outside may look run down, but compared to travel Lodge where my parents stayed, which they had a lot more to complain about then we did. And they paid $80/a night vs us we paid $46/a night. They had to drive to the base, if we wanted to, we couldve just walk. Which I wouldnt recommend because the base is huge. Other than, our neighbor who was ignorant and couldnt afford to stay anywhere else besides a hotel and gave the hotel managers a problem, (and I hope the hotel was able to get rid of him) everything else is fine. The hotel managers even gave us these bags of Vea seed crackers, and they are absolutely good I wish I had more bags of them. I saw no bugs in or out of our room, shower was fine, toilet was fine, refrigerator was nice and cold, toiletries were stocked huge flat screen TV! I would come back and stay here. I stayed for two nights and didnt regret one bit of it.
Front desk where totally helpfull but everything elt’s was bad from the front door to the toilet and the tub , tv didn’t work, no light bulbs in any lamps , restroom ceiling was falling off , roaches, crickets, ants and spiders where in room, uneven floors .coffee pot looked like it’s been dirty for a while toilet was loose and tilted. Sink was cluttered up with hair . Don’t waste you money on here you will regret it
Absolutely disgusting, not even worth 1star. Literally had hundreds of roaches in the room. Moldy and cracked ceiling tiles, loose wires draped across the walls lamps didnt work, just simply gross and NOT managed well. By some miracle we made it through one night and then got a refund and left to a real hotel. This is an utter disservice to our military families who are looking to stay at a hotel close to Lackland to watch their loved ones graduate from basic training. It was terrible how such a lousy hotel is taking advantage of military families. Lackland needs to be aware of them. Beware DO NOT STAY HERE, pay a few bucks more and stay somewhere clean and safe because Stay Express Inn Lackland is NOT safe or clean. Hope this helps my fellow military families out there.
Wow, I have stayed in 100s of hotels over the years, even had some rough apartments starting out in life. But this place is amazingly comical. It was cheap which it should be, the half demolished building next door is in better condition. If not for my son next door at lackland I would go to a better hotel. First arrived, main door has 1/4 gap all the way around. You can see the people walking by under the gap in the door. Bathroom is nasty, roaches sitting on the toilet and baseboards, tub is nasty let alone risking stepping on the floor. Hot water has to be constantly adjusted. Sink hardly any pressure. I cleaned the aerator of rust and ran the water. Brown water ran for 10 minutes. Ceiling fan just leave on, takes forever to get going so I just left it run so it doesnt start on fire next time I turn it on.Bathroom door is falling apart, looks like the laminate is all shredded. Come on!! A door is less than $100.Refrigerator when it kicked in sounds like something falling. TV remotes didnt work hardly, cable box had to be connected. Everything loose. Phone which I didnt use anyhow, is just sitting on the dresser. No wires to it. Lamps all unplugged.Front desk person was very nice. Drove 19 hours and stayed in this hole. I generally go online and get 4 or 5 star hotels for $100Only took this hotel because of location to AFB. Never again.
Hasnt been updated since it was built (probably 30 years) ceiling tiles are falling and stained. You step and it sounds like the building shifts. Dust everywhere. Carpet is damp and sticky. Room smells musty. Walls are gross, bathroom light takes 2 minutes to come on. Carpet is stained. Ive slept on floors more comfortable than this bed. Flat screen is nice. This is what you imagine by the by hour hotels are like. Seriously grossUpdate just found the roaches
Roaches everywhere, the floor was rotting away in the bathroom, ceiling had extensive water damage, garbage everywhere outside the room. This hotel was absolutely disgusting.
Please save yourself and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The location and proximity to the base would’ve been convenient if you didn’t feel like you were going to die from whatever was rotting here. I’m so sorry I didn’t take pictures, from wires hanging loose everywhere, dings in the walls, missing outlet covers, black mold growing on the ceiling tiles, crooked toilet, broken towel rack, something rusty in the tub (it wasn’t even the drain cover just some random metal!!!), and the overwhelming stench of mold, ratty old pillows, stains on the mattress, and the sketchy live ins. I could list more but please understand it is not safe for you to stay here, health wise. My mom and I cried and made it a whole 5 mins before I had booked another hotel and we were going downstairs for a refund. Not to mention we had initially booked 2 rooms, and one was given away before we arrived! Just an overall disappointment so glad to be somewhere else. Please heed my warning!!!
Owner was very rude he was even picking an argument with me I was also being overcharged he wouldnt move me rooms because I had dogs but the bed had a sick metal spring sticking out of it and sand coming out of the water in the shower. The washer broke down while I was washing my clothes as well. I had to put a complaint with corporate in order to get moved to a different room. Terrible experience.
The Stay Express Inn Lackland is in amazing proximity to the AFB - the gate is within a couple hundred yards of the inn. That was my biggest concern when choosing this location. Beyond that, the room lived up to my expectations. The rooms were around $45 a night, so I had a good understanding of what I was getting. I got a $45 room. But even so, the staff was incredibly nice and pleasant to deal with. I also found the continental breakfast setup nice. I was pleased with my stay.
Never stay here!!!!! The ceiling tile was falling down and then we had bugs crawling out of the holes in the ceiling. The towels had stains on then along with the sheets on the bed. The sink had a dirty fork with food on it stuck in the drain. The staff was nice. Dont go by the pictures posted online it looks nothing like that.
I would not recommend this place to a homeless person. The room is nothing like the photos presented on hotels.com It smells of most likely mold from being so old. You can see gaps between the walls and floor that they have just filled with foam in a can. The flooring around the toilet appears to be damaged from leakage. It is very scarey to remotey attempt sitting on for fear you would fall through the floor.
The room was nicer than i would have expected upon arrival. Finding the motel was very easy. It is in a convenient location. Near many restaurants and easy access to lackland airforce base. Local grocery and other retail stores within walking distance. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. They offer both smoking and non smoking rooms. The pool is not very large but it is maintained very well. The rooms are not sound proof as we could hear the lesbian couple down below us going through their break up and every word of their argument. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.
Beds were great. The floors were somewhat dirty. The towels were small and very dirty. Okay room. However, one of the room service people was smoking in our room or they had cigarette breath. Would not reccomend unless low, low budget.
I too wish I could give it “ no stars “ rates are outrageous for basically a dump. Had several roaches crawling in the room bathroom etc... very limited electric outlets very limited parking. And to top it off the “ free expanded continental breakfast “ consists of three cereals some plain bread, muffins, pastries, and a toaster. The pool and hot tub look like they have the year before lasts water in it still room was musty with hard outdoor tiles in it with some kind of nasty film on it and bathroom so small you can’t even fully open the door because it hits the toilet. Overall horrible experience the only reason we stayed is so we could see our son whom we hadn’t seen in a couple of months graduate from Air Force basic training so this review is mostly for would be travelers coming to see a loved one graduate basic training stay in a motel away from the base!!!!
This place is by far the worst hotel we have ever booked ... And i say booked because it was way to gross to even stay a night ..we killed a roach going across the wall i found one in my bed dead. Also my friend found an earring between the blankets. We noticed 3 other smaller bugs flying around and i promise we stayed in this place tops 10 min before we decided that it didnt matter if we slept in our car no way we would stay in this place. We had planned staying at least 3 days and the only reason we picked this place was for the distance and the pool . But they didnt even had the pool working. We couldnt get all our money back and im very very displeased and grossed out. I think they should have a big sign outside that says come and SLEEP WITH BUGS TODAY !
The first words out of my mouth when I walked in our room was, Are you ready for an adventure? Uneven wood floors, a bathroom light that flickers a few times before coming on, and obvious evidence of the room being forced open makes me take a pause. A long pause and a long conversation with my wife. We decided to stay and the adventure continued. A shower head five feet off the ground, lukewarm water, the spotting of a couple of bugs and finding a second TV remote somewhere in the bed sheets is an adventure Id rather pass. Having trouble falling asleep? You can hear every. single. step your neighbors above, beside you, everywhere. Count those steps, and youll soon be out. I chose this location because of its close proximity to Lackland AFB, but I highly recommend staying somewhere else. Anywhere else. The extra distance would definitely be worth it. However, if you do stay here, leave your shoes on, the floors are so dirty I had to wash my feet after my shower. Do not stay here. You dont want this adventure.
Very clean place, awesome staff highly recommend. There have been some renovations done and it is one of the newest and nicest of the Oyo hotel locations. Our family took a swim in the pool which is very well kept and the perfect temperature! Very good value for the price , nice HUGE big screen TVs and right across there is an HEB grocery store and Dollar store within walking distance which is very convenient if you want to save money for food since there is a fridge and microwave in the room, or if you need anything else. Will definitely be staying here in the future, and I rate it 10 stars! 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
Take my advice do not stay here! As soon as I drove up the disgusting hole-ridden drive and saw the building badly in need of paint I knew that I would have problems. The whole place is run down and very dirty. Outside concrete work needs repair or replacement. The furniture in our room was rough and cheap. It looked as though it was got from Craigs list on free stuff. This motel does not deserve even 1 star and should not be permitted on the web. It is very dirty everywhere. The top cover of the beds were filthy. The old towels were badly stained (white towels that looked gray) because they have not been washed thoroughly for a long time. The bedroom and bathroom which had a strong smell of cheap disinfectant were run down in every respect, including tattered carpets, filthy bed covers, unfinished base board and damaged walls. The fridge hardly went above room temperature. On top of it all we found the staff very rude especially the old lady housekeeper who emotionally snatched the dirty towels from me in a hough (because I had complained about their dirty condition). Also the WiFi does not work in the rooms. You have to go outside to make it work. Also, you have to be quick with the shower because it runs out of hot water quickly. Theres more but it so disgusts me I cannot go on.. just do not go there OK!!!
If I could give a negative stars, I would. Requested for a king bed , and yes but the king bed was sitting on a queen box spring, so the bed was hanging off the box spring, my wife actually fell off the bed because of that and hurt her elbow. Then in the morning, we woke up with the water leaking from the ceiling. I told the receptionist about the issues and was told he didnt know theres a leak and the king mattress on top of a queen box spring making it seem like I was lying, so I told him go check it himself right now before we head out. And didnt say anything at all, no sorry or anything. I wouldnt recommend it to anybody, its a hazard staying in this motel.
I decided to give this place a try even with the reviews I read because I thought it might not be as bad but it was horrible. The roof was broken and rusty! The cracks of the shower where rusty and breaking! And the shower curtain was disgusting!! I could see dry shampoo and it was torn and broken and I dont understand why the hell they cant just replace that its not expensive, youd think because they are so close to base they would use all the money they receive from graduation stays, etc to renovate but no, the room smelt like mildew! The door didnt even fit the frame! I would never EVER stay there again. The guy who gives you your room is a CREEP like I was scared to be around him.. the breakfast is horrible, frozen waffles and old orange juice.. and lastly, when room keeping came to make the bed they took my remote from my room and I didnt get it back till the next day even though my husband asked what happened oh! And there were stains on the towels. Just disgusting the location isnt even worth it, just stay on base or something a little farther it was not worth any penny. Just nasty.
I have stayed at this hotel several times and have had a great experience each time. Do not judge this book by its cover, the rooms are clean, have plenty of space, micro fridge and great nightly rates.
Lets start with the good stuff. The staff was nice and welcoming. And the location was good.it was right next to the airforce base. (Valley High Gate, you could see it from the office) as for the room itself was disappointing. The toilet and beds werent terrible and the A/C worked in our room yay... But their was holes in the ceiling, the vents were Dusty. And the room smelled terrible. And the bathroom door didnt close. We had one semi working power let. And the cable worked part of the time. The WiFi hardly worked at all. (Bye bye data) I guess you get what you pay for. 🤷kinda disappointing.
Im not the squeamish sort. And I had no illusions of what I was walking into. I booked this place online because I wanted a smoking room, and the pics I saw made it look decent. I knew it was going to be a dive. I just didnt expect that level of divey-ness. There were a couple of face tatted gang banger looking folks blocking the stairs to our room. There was (what looked like) a bullet hole in the door next to ours. The floors were randomly wet and sticky. Like I was afraid of taking off my shoes, ever, in that room. There were holes everywhere - in the walls, in the ceiling, in the doors. The beds were sunken in. There were burn marks everywhere (somewhat expected). I was literally scared to touch anything. However, the staff was exceptionally nice and gave me a full refund. Thank goodness for that!
Worst place I’ve ever rented a hotel room. The AC was leaking and flooded a part of the floor so we didn’t even spend the night. I told the front desk clerk and he put a coffee can under the leak and said room service will clean it up. We asked for a refund and was told yes and now we have been given the run around calling 4 different numbers. I will be initiating a chargeback for my money.
Wow. Where to begin...right now Im listening to my neighbor curse somebody out and a baby is crying. Really classy place. When we first arrived, I had to request clean sheets because there was dirt all over the sheets when I pulled the comforter back. Mind you, ordinary I would insist to my husband that we go to another place to stay, however money was tight so I tried to stick it out. My husband said before walking in, dont expect much and you wont be disappointed. Well, I tried not to be but I really was. We checked in on a wed and out on sunday. I couldnt wait to leave. The person was nice that checked us in and they were good about getting us sheets, towels and a toilet plunger (dont ask). Not the best plumbing and the showers I took were borderline ice cold. They did have a little free hreakfast which wasnt bad. Overall, if youre tight on money and dont expect a whole lot, its OK but I wouldnt stay again unless I absolutely had to, so to speak.
DO NOT STAY HERE! This place was absolutely gross there were bugs (cockroaches & a cricket), the microwave and fridge were dirty, the water would not stay warm, there was black stuff coming out the ac, The toilet moves when you sit on it, there was poop smeared on the side of the toilet. I mean this place needs some milk big time. Although the guy at the front desk was nice and it is right next to base and it is cheap
This h(m)otel is basically what you pay for. It was the cheapest hotel in the San Antonio/lackland area for a reason. I stayed her for airman’s weekend and although I wasn’t overly thrilled with it, it is what I payed for. The hotel staff is nice and makes sure to help where they can. The room itself was not very clean, the floor needs some sweeping, and a lot of the counter/dresser tops need to be wiped down. Thank god I packed some Clorox wipes with me. The beds were okay, bring an extra blanket if you get cold at night easily because the sheets are not very warm. The room key was slightly annoying because it took about 10 tries until it worked. The only positive thing about this place is the proximity to the base itself. If you’re traveling and do not have a car, this may be your best bet. The base is literally so close to the hotel, we could hear the trumpets in the morning and the national anthem at night. This did make a lot of things easier when traveling to and from the base because it was so close and you didn’t have to leave extra, extra early to make sure you got on base at the right time.If I came to San Antonio again I probably would not stay here, but like I stated before, the price you pay is equal to what you get and I should’ve assumed that before booking.
Room smelled stale as soon as I walked in. Noticed it was the mold in the heating/air unit after a few nights which is what gave me a horrible sore throat and cough and phlegm in june so I highly doubt it was a cold. There was a dead cockroach and another alive walking around the dirty floor that had hairs from previous guests still there, shower head was awkwardly low for me 511 also the mini fridge was dirty and had hairs in it. I didnt swim in the pool so I cant say anything about that but the hotel is right next to the Lackland base gate which was nice but its absolutely worth it to get a pricier hotel a few minutes from base unless you really have no form of transportation. I will not be staying here ever again.
This is a very low budget place. Some rooms are iffy others are rough. 10:00 pm last night I heard lots of water running. Got up and the ceiling above the shower had water pouring out from it. Up stairs room had a leak of some sort. Buy the time I got help it had stopped. No one ever came back or said what had happened. Then the next morning my daughter was getting ready at the bathroom sink and water started running out from under there. Lock on door doesnt work. Wont open at all for you till you body slam it. Told them about it and they did nothing. Pool was nice to cool off, but should have a no smoking policy for around the pool, cause there were cigarette buttstock every where. Clean towels and wash clothes were stained. Bedding was ok but had some cigarette burns in the bedspread. I guess you get what you pay for.
At first I was afraid cause all the bad reviews I saw on this page. But during the time I stayed here I had no problems at all. No bugs and I had hot water.Id stay again. Its basically next to the Air Force base which made it extremely easy for me to walk and see my husband graduation :)For what I paid I definitely got a lot more ;)
I paid 250$ to stay here. Its looks nothing like the pictures I saw. Cockroaches, everywhere. The towels in the bathroom had black stains in them. My boyfriend was walking around bare foot inside for not even 10 minutes and he looked at the bottom of his feet and they were pitch black! REFUND PLEASE.
This location was great if you are attending BMT graduation when you leave the parking lot you are the 9th car in line at the gate. You can also hear the bugles playing in the morning and at bedtime from the hotel. The cons being that this hotel is by no means fancy. We had issues with the hot water in our first room but they did end up moving us to another room that had no issues with the water.
This place survives off of the weekly AF BMT graduations. The flooring in our room was full of dips and bumps, toilet was loose, the shower head was low and the striping on the outside of the tub was falling. There were no outlets bedside and lets not talk about the roaches. I would suggest the you bring your own towels and wash clothes. Now this is a place to end your long BMT graduation days and is right outside the Valley High gate. It is just a place to shower and sleep. Over all this place needs an extreme makeover, but I doubt that would happen, it is convenient and cheap. The old saying is true you get what you paid for.
The location was great. It was very close to the base and an HEB. However, they didnt give use ANY full size towels for showers so we had to track down a staff member. The walls needed some paint and the awening leaked. But that being said, it was $45 a night for a double. I got what I paid for.
Absolutely terrible. Beds were lopsided. No batteries in the remote. No ice bucket so the receptionist gave us a bag. No full size towels so we had to use their pool towels. I found a roach when we first walked in. A phone but no phone jack and only one outlet to charge the phone that was by the tv and barely held the charges. Only perk was it was right beside the AFB entrance. The ONLY perk. Also. No hot water.
Good room with a great price. Very friendly & helpful staff. Room was clean when we went in & cleaned daily while we were there. Pool was maintained daily also. The room did have some minor issues but being as close to the air force base as it was I could live with it. I never got the free Wi-Fi that was advertised but I was there for BMT graduation not playing on my tablet.
The room was not clean. Fridge unplugged. They definitely put the Roach in roach motel. Would never stay there agian.
Actually a lot better than I thought it would be. They have employees observing the parking lot with cameras. Walls were much thicker than I imagined also. Would go again at that late night price point. Towels were clean and for $15 you can extend stay 2 hrs.
Very cheap if you dont mind sleeping with roaches! Room was in very poor conditions. Only good thing is that its literally right outside lackland Air Force base gate! If you dont mind the roaches or the appearance of the room then go for it! I dont care for bugs so this was a problem for me. But I was close to the base and was able to be at all the events on time, no traffic to go through.
Looked really nice from the outside, but the inside had ceiling tiles falling out, and there were roaches in the bathroom, main room, and in the bed. Definitely not worth the money I had to pay, which I couldn’t get refunded.
Make sure to kill the roaches before you sleep unless you like the extra company. 0/5 stars if possible. Roaches. Bugs Ive never seen before. Smells like the lady who cleaned it had a cigarette in her mouth while cleaning. Doors had to be slammed when closed. Yanked when opened. Floors felt like the rugs they put at the door at Walmart when its raining. Damp at. Afraid to even use their towels, went out to buy my own and air fresheners. TV speakers blown. Lady cleaned it once out of 3 nights. Stopped by and asked if we needed a MF trash bag LOL... First ever stay ever at a Stay Express, making it my last, but hey the big guy at the front was extremely friendly and the pool actually looked clean..
Stayed because it was close to the air force base. Worst place Ive ever been in. We were there for a few min and roaches started come out everywhere. Went to the front desk and he said he was just the over night guy and we would have to wait to speak to the manager. Moved rooms 3 times that night. Second room he brought us in roaches scattered everywhere. He wouldnt give us our money and it was 2 in the morning so we were stuck. Everything was dirty. Cracks above and below doors so anything could get in. Every room had roaches. Showers we disgusting beds as well. We finally got to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude. As soon as we came in to speak with him he got up and started raising his voice at as. Through the conversation we got no where. He told us to check out but he wasnt giving us any of our money back. Outlets did not work. Tv didnt turn on. Couldnt connect to tge wifi. Place should be torn down. It is not a safe place nor is it healthy. Night shift guy called our room to see if we smoked and if we did if he could get one off of us. Um no and even if we did you dont call someones room at 3am to ask for a smoke. We had no money and no where else to go. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. It is nice that its close to the base. But far from being worth it. Awful place wont ever go back.
This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The conditions are deplorable, there were roaches & left over remnants of other guests who stayed before us. The bathroom was grungy and the room smelled like smoke and dogs. It is a shame it is so close to the Air Force base staying there almost ruined our trip for my sons graduation, this is nowhere near a 2 or 3 star hotel it needs to be closed immediately!
Where to start... Well, front door didnt close flush to the door jam, carpet was sticky so dont walk barefoot on it, one of the lamps didnt work, good luck finding an available power outlet, bedding on one bed didnt match the other, one of the sheets had a heavy baby oil like stain, loose wiring junction boxes 240v😳, toilet was loose and not anchored to the floor properly and would shift, bathroom light fixture had no cover, mystery water puddle on the bathroom floor kept developing from not sure where(possibly the loose toilet) 🤔, faucet pressure was very very weak, one of the beds was extremely lopsided, tube tv, cable went out for an entire morning, and 90% of the pool patio furniture was torn and wasnt functional and just took up space in the pool area. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and our maid was nice but the owner of this establishment needs to sell it to someone who would give a damn about the place. With all the cash rolling into this place every week for military graduations you think theyd try a little harder, or at all for that matter. The other family we had here stayed in another room and it was only half as bad. At least they had a flat screen tv in their room.💩It would have been so so worth it just to stay a nicer place 15 minutes or so away from the base. If you choose to stay here stay away from room #242.
There are definitely better options for your money! First off, the shower could not keep a steady temperature, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Secondly, the outlets were not capable of holding plugs. Thirdly, the toilet constantly ran water unless it was giggled and handled a certain way. Fourthly, most of the fruniture was broken or defective in some way. Fourthly, we couldnt even connect to the internet. Every time we did get a connection it was extremely poor and we would get knocked off. When we got there our reservation was put in the system wrong and we had to deal with it at 1 a.m. The only redeeming quality was the closeness to Lackland.
This place was neat and organized people available 24/7 for whatever you may need. There is no partying or fighting allowed there as well as Noone having multiple cars come and go. Comfortable and allows pets. All people who work there are polite and sweet. Also far enough away from a highway that you dont hear it right outside your door. Nightly security checks done multiple times a night.
Was the worst dont recommend no families to stay there. Blood on walls, lamp .bag of drugs found in coffee maker. Requested refund, denied even when showed proof, photos to manager he said there was nothing wrong to room. Really bad staff. They need new staff who can clean, contiennental breakfast is cereal, toast. Dont stay in a dump.
I will never stay here again, the room was full of flies. The towels were not that clean. The TV didnt work, there were drunk people outside. It smelled really bad, if I had another reservation at another hotel I would have left. I would not recommend anyone staying here.
This hotel is awful. I am not even sure how it manages to pass any sort of health inspection. We came to Lackland for our sons BMT graduation and were very strapped for cash. Fortunately, I brought my own sheets and bleach just in case. It is not the sort of hotel where under any circumstances you feel clean. But we did our best with what we had and enjoyed the graduation nonetheless. There are body fluids and feces on the horrible lime green walls. The room is in desperate need of repair as tiles are falling, there is water damage, mold, filthy carpet and many of the outlets do not work or are dangling. If we hadnt made our reservation through travelocity (which does not do refunds) I would have opted to find someplace for 10 or 20 dollars more per night, to feel safe and clean and have a nice breakfast. Our view was overlooking the giant electric grid and dumpster and trash...all over the ground. We were greeted by children who lived in the hotel as they poked a skunk with a stick. If you stay here it will certainly be a memory that you will never forget. So, if you end up stuck here....at least laugh about it. Take lots of pictures. It makes for a humorous FB updates. (Oh there should be negative star ratings...yes it is THAT bad)
The place is horrible. It smells and it is super noisy! I didn’t not enjoy my stay at all!And it is a shame because the location is very good to the base.
Right next to airforce base, but had problems. We saw cockroaches, door was unaligned so was slightly hard to close and open, and the ceiling has major water damage. Staff was friendly and helpful.
*BED BUGS*!!!!!! I would rate it zero stars but thats not an option. We checked in and got to our room which was infested with bed bugs. The owner refused to refund our money and we didnt even stay there! The roof vent in the bathroom was falling out, ceiling tiles were falling apart, and the towels were really stained and rough, the speaker in the TV was blown, and there is mold in all of the room, it is very run down and not taken care of properly Staff was friendly, but the owner is terrible I would never recommend this place!
You get what you pay for, which is pretty decent when you get the weekly rate. The breakfast is not bad but very basic (cereal/toast/OJ/coffee). The WiFi is good, but spotty, you might have some difficulty staying connected or be able to walk several buildings over and stay connected... They are cheap but so are you if youre staying here lol... Which is why were booked here.
Horrible! Everything was filthy. Roaches everywhere. The stench of cigarette was very strong my little girl got a headache. Had to leave. Didnt get all my money back, was there for 20 mins. The guy in the front desk was very kind. Wouldnt recommend it at all!!!!
My daughter is there right now. Convenient to the base, but NOTworth it. Room is infested with roaches and the Front Desk suggested she go to HEB (grocery store next door) to purchase bug spray!?!?! Seriously????? Now lobby door is locked and they arent answering the phone...
Stayed July 13 thru 16. Rooms were NOT as I expected. Needs updating! Floor warped, toilet rocked from side to side & lights in bathroom flickered when turned on. Extremely noisy, cld not sleep, cld hear family above stomping, running & yelling as if I was in the room with them. Sounded like they were going to fall thru the ceiling. Complaining did no good! Location was a plus factor being located so close to AFB. The staff was nice & very knowledgeable of the area: However, I wld NOT stay here again.
PROs: 2 min from AFB and you could hear the bugles playing at bed time. THATS IT!!CONs: cockroaches, holes in walls & doors, toilet broken you sit and almost fall down, everything looked and felt sticky gross. OBVIOUS drug dealings in parking lot, people screaming at all hours. It looks like even the people who would pay for hourly motel rates would go somewhere else!! Without a doubt the worst place Ive ever stayed at. We left after the 1st night because it felt like we were about to be in a real-life HORROR MOVIE!
The rooms are not in the best condition they were clean though except the tub in one of the rooms it had hair stuck to the side the also smelled a lot like mildew Until the air was on high for a day but for the price it was not bad there was no bugs and the staff were all very pleasant and that is what made the stay worth it the pool was open so the kids played but the attached part they have small fringes to hold your food pretty much all you need We were right next to the base for me that was not a problem at all it made me feel safer but we lived on base for a while so that could just be me.
The hotel is by no means glamorous. The bathroom was kind of a mess. The toilet shakes when you sit, one of the tiles in back of it was loose and fell forward off the wall, and the lights flicker when turning on. The main room was also less than perfect. 2/3 of the lights in the room didnt work making it very dark in the room and the bed was very bouncy and moved away from the wall easily. However, I didnt book this hotel because of the hotel itself, I booked it because it is literally right next to the lackland airforce Base. The entrance/exit of the hotel leads directly to the front gate of the base meaning I can wake up whenever i want and still be able to skip the massive line at the entrance to get in the base. But not only that the entrance is right down the street to the PRC its actually within walking distance. If youre coming to texas for the BMT graduation then this is the hotel you want. Its also right next to a grocery store, dollar store, fastfood restaurants, and more. The hotel itself is 2 stars but the location is 5 stars
Let me tell you guys the hospitality was excellent n u know that when u get ur free breakfast the breakfast area it a higher score of 10 it was clean n sanitary I recommend ur hotel n thats that I luv my room clean thank you for letting me enjoy the week of relaxation n away from stress n also Im not leaving out the young housekeeper so u r the best n Im the young woman w hazel eyes RM 249 u go girl I normally stay3days its been 7days u go guys !!! great Job!!!
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and would NEVER make that mistake again!! There was exposed wiring in the room, the room or bathroom was not cleaned well, the back of the toilet did not fit, the only window in the room did not open at all. The beem that held up the the upstairs walk way was rotten and breaking away. The best thing about the hotel was when we left.
My name is Paul Blaskowsky and I’m a Photographer/Videographer. I plan to visit my son in the Air Force this weekend and hope to write a positive review. It has a great location to the base👍
If I can give a no star I will. The guy on night shift is RUDE . Treats customers horrible. I cancelled and they still charged my account for 3 days. Looking thru the rooms it smells moldy bedding has stains, no full size towels, water is a trickle. Mold on ceiling paint peeling and need bad updating And yes bugs. Internet hahaha dial up is better. Pool?? SmhCarpet a mess, pillows I wouldnt sleep on them. Breakfest Is a joke . Pay attention to reviews the staff give you the run around and play games when you want a refund,. For two days to avoid letting you speak to a manager.I had to call my bank and make a fraud claim. You get what you pay for a motel not hotel . I can not believe this place even is allowed to be near a base let alone recommended. I will be calling better business and the Commander maybe this should be off limits to airman as thier families. There is a difference in a hotel vs motel
I booked this hotel room for April 17-21 2014 for my sons Air Force Basic Training Graduation. I booked through Southwest Airlines and was given a confirmation number and fee of $148.20 minus taxes and fees. Upon my arrival to check in I was given a different amount of $206.31. When I questioned the clerk as to why the amount was much more than my confirmed amount she advised it was because of the taxes and fees. I asked how much where they and she stated around $24.00. I stated that that did not equal the amount she was asking me to pay. The lady became irate and began to yell me saying I needed to take it up with Orbitz. I asked why Orbitz when I booked via Southwest, she explained thats who it comes from. I asked for the number and she stated I would have to obtain it myself. she steadily yelled at me saying I had an attitude and I explained I was just trying to get a clear understanding of the fees. She asked for my ID and I said why, she yelled at me because in the state of TX you cannot rent a room without one I stated I was not ready to sign until I find out about the fees. she then tried to photo copy my credit card on the copy machine. I told her I did not feel comfortable with her doing that and asked for my card, she threw it at me and told me she refused to rent the room to me and for me to get out because there would be many people who would want my room. I left and my sons girlfriend called back and also questioned her, she stated that the reservation amount is an estimate and they can charge me what they want. The hotel refused me the room yet they still charged my credit card the amount of $206.31. They breached the contract by refusing me the room yet they refuse to reimburse my card. I have made several attempts to resolve this matter. I did not cancel, break my contract nor refuse to rent but instead was treated maliciously, left without a room and yet was still charged,,, GIVING ONE STAR CAUSE IT WONT ALLOW HALF A STAR!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Room had roaches no smoke alarm ceiling tiles were falling down water kept going from hot to cold to extremely hot room was dirty
Got scammed out of $187, reservation was apparently cancelled which I got charged for but when I called the booking provider it says it wasn’t and they refused to help or do anything about it and place looked nasty anyway
Sketchiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I was sked to leave my luggage outside when I checked in. First room had cockroaches both dead and alive. The guy at the front desk blamed it on renovations that I didnt see happening. Second room I walked in and there were cockroaches crawling up the walls. Yes its close to base but its not worth it.
We didnt even stay the night in this hotel after we returned from our events for the day we find 3 roaches on the dresser. There were individuals hanging out during the day and at night. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money somewhere else. Not worth the money
Stayed here because of the close proximity to the AFB. I had a great weekend because I got to see my husband who’s enlisted and the on base hotel was booked. Would I ever stay here otherwise? No, but you get what you pay for.
I read all the reviews before I reserved my 5 nights here. So I of course already had an idea of what to expect.what I read seemed like it all came from people who thought, for some reason they where getting a 3 star hotel or something. If you dont like 1star or 2 star an you dont like saving money then reserve some other place.SUCK IT UP AN DRIVE ON!Now if you are looking for a place you can save money an your airmen can see their dog during the little time they have before tech school, then you found it. Not to mention the barracks is a stone throw away an you might see you airmen lining up for formation or getting smoked! I included a picture of the barracks from my room! We seen our airmen leading her flight in formation to chow which made my choice worth every penny an then some. They had continental breakfast which was awesome an they had good coffee. Come on people you pay for what you get! With the Carefree Inn I definitely got more than I paid for.
The hotel is not good check for your self nasty toilet, water is like yellow color, check all the ceiling not good,ZIRO rate!!!!!!!!!
Not worthy of even 1 star. This place is should be bulldozed. Came here to see my nephew graduate from Lackland AFB boot camp and its simply repulsive. The TV has no volume there are no plugs for devices besides the ones in the photos. There are baby cockroaches on the night stand, toilets wont flush, mold growing out of the ceilings and high smell of mold, stains all over the walls, mattresses are stained, furniture stained, telephone doesnt work, sink is cracked, couch outside, rust on stairs, people belongings on stairwell...the list goes on
Stayed Friday night March 4th 2022. BED BUGS. The lady at the front desk was nice. Other than that, if I could have found any other place in the area within 10-15 of where I was that wasn’t already booked I wouldn’t have stayed here to begin with. Now covered in bed bug bites.
The guy that works the front desk at night, Henry, is very rude and lazy. He closed the pool 2 hours early so he wouldn’t have to come out at 11 and lock it. The rating at this hotel is 2 stars and that’s generous. Spend the extra buck and go stay somewhere else
Great service, nice pool, comfy rooms. Bathrooms need work, parking lot needs work, looks like the hot tub hasnt been cleaned in 6 years. Other than that great everything and nice visit! Cheap cheap rates.
The room looks nice but it seemed like people may permanently be living at this location. We could hear family arguments thru the night. People out side our window whistling late at night it sounded like pople tried opening our door.Very shady stuff going on late at night with the residents at this location.
My room had several roaches in it & my bed had either bed bugs or little tiny spiders, not sure. Either way, its an old, dirty hotel. Only upsides are that its cheap and literally right outside of the Lackland Base gates. If I could do it again Id go to a local Airbnb for similar cost.
They made me wait 45min for my room because they forgot to have it ready even though I booked the night before because I didnt want to deal with the check in hours🙄
I had to change rooms twice due to leaks from rain . Bathroom plumming was harrible tv didnt work nor did the microwave. I asked guy at front desk for late check out due to not getting enough sleep because of having to change rooms hefave me a hard te wouldnt give me his name nor managers name nor a number to call not even a business card. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever come back
Worse experience ever did not even stay! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Price is great but it’s horrible probably why it’s so cheap. I had to rate it one star to make this post but it’s not even worth one star.Roaches fell out the fridge needle under the toilet. If I could post the pics I would show the roaches and needle.
Too many darn roaches and nobody would spray when I requested it to be done. They kept saying they would but it never was done.
This place has a pool with a jacuzzi. It is also fenced-in to protect from children getting in there accidentally. The rooms are clean and smell very good. Management at the front desk is very professional
The room is nothing fancy but its clean and it looks like they are trying to make some updates. Price is low and if your coming for BMT, well you cant beat the location. Best part is the staff. They are super friendly and attentive.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I was a guest at this hotel June 24th- june 30th 2019 for my girlfriends graduation. All was fine until the day I left. I ended up staying on the Airforce base past my check out time so they called me up and told me that they took my luggage from my room and brought it down to the front desk (note that this is the ONLY time someone else besides me has handled my luggage throughout my entire trip), and I was like ok Ill be there to pick up my stuff and Ill be on my way only to find out when I got home that the person who took my luggage down to the desk WENT THROUGH MY STUFF AND STOLE MY NINTENDO SWITCH AND GAMES before he brought everything down. I have been trying and trying to get a old of the people who run the place and nobody will answer my phone call. That was almost $600 worth of stuff that they took. This is the oyo hotel on 100 valley hi drive in lackland Texas. GIVE ME MY STUFF BACK
They could do some upgrades to make it a nicer stay. The staff was friendly, the rooms didnt smell clean or look clean. Thats my only complaint.
It was cheap, convenient to the Air Force Base, but it was dirty, the toilets flooded the rooms, the floors on the 2nd floor were soft in spots, I requested a room on the bottom floor because my mom who was there for my sons graduation, is disabled and they put us on the top floor. I was very disappointed
I stayed for 2 nights & it was comfortable. The men in the office were very nice, & friendly, housekeeping was excellent.they had a cool set up for breakfast, not to mention it was right next to the base which made it wonderful to make it in time to see my son graduate, so proud of my AIRMAN BUBS
Defintely decent hotel for price! Very friendly staff, Pet friendly!, secure, within very short walking distance from one of Lacklands gates and also several places to eat or drink. I will recommend to others.Having stayed here a week, the only people who give a horrible rating are locals that bring drama on the premises---which is not tolerated because they try to keep a standard to be family and military friendly.
READ THIS ... its a dump. ZERO STARS. NOTHING good to say. Bugs, dirty, delapidated furnishings, uneven floors, fire hazards at the power outlets, and never a hot shower. This place should be leveled to improve property values and so that the location is made worthwhile.
Place is about to fall down, completely uneven building. Not worth staying here unless you are desperate. Some appliances broken. Place was dirty too.
Friendly staff clean rooms and close to stores and restaurants
Good place to stay friendly staff. Older building and thin walls but the rooms are better than you may think. And very close to the air force base. No joke right out side of the gate. Very good prices for the area.
They booked our hotel room for the wrong weekend. They wont own up to their mistake, are hard to get a hold of (wont return my calls or emails), and will not give us a refund. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They are very rude. I am only giving one star because I have to, but if were up to me theyd get zero.
Please read this if youre planning on staying here for your air man/woman graduating.Has no hot water, roaches, smells. with any cheap motel, bad environment. I thought most of tw folks here was here for the graduation, nope, got a bunch of people who use this motel to drink and play loud music. breakfast was not good. youre going to drive to the BMT no matter where you stay. choose another motel.
Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. Check out is at 11 and at 10 you have a maid breaking into your room telling you to get out. Nothing in the room works. The beds are very hard and the room smelled like mold when we first walked in. Had to air out the room for 2 hours. Dont stay here unless every other room in San Antonio is booked.
Worst place I ever stayed at. Roach infested. Dirty. Broken down walls, ceilings, everything falling apart. Would never stay here again.
I feel like its convenient to the base but the housekeeper needs to do better dust on the walls floor not mopped never got cups called room service sheets were on backwards gotta do better I came all the way from Rochester Ny the owner was very friendly though and the price was very reasonable
I was not a fan, lets put it that way. My niece and nephew wanted to get in the pool, but there was no way on Earth I was stepping anywhere near it. Pretty sure my bed mattress was made of wood.
Horrible Hotel! Have many cockroaches everywhere, bed, bathroom, pillows. If you come to Airforce Base or wherever it’s better another options . Don’t come ever!!!
Great value. Everyone was helpful and polite. Water temperature problems and maintenance of the room could have been better... But value and being in the right location made it a great option.
Its very affordable and our family only needed the place to sleep for a few nights. The place needs repairs and better hygiene standards. Worked for this time but will not be coming back.
It isnt the Ritz by any means and it is a bit run down, but it isnt awful given the location to the air Base. The room and sheets were clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was good -- but Im not really picky anyway.
There were holes in the rooms, the bathroom door was hard to close, the room smelled of smoke even though there is no smoke and everything smelled like that. The fire alarm was not connected and the beds also smelled
I love the location, and the beds are comfy and perfect, but there are constant, eerie noises coming form the walls and ceiling and floor and door, and the door itself is hard to open, which could be dangerous for a weak individual during a fire or some other disaster.
It was dirty and gross. There were bugs crawling around, and even the closet hadnt been fully cleaned in a while, as there was dirt in the corners. Tile is old and ugly. Carpets were also old and ugly. The towels smelt like oil.
Horrifically disgusting. There was blood in the bathroom, dirty bandaids in the bed, the shower curtain was black with dirt and torn to shreds, and the showers severely burned you each time a toilet in any other room was flushed.
Nice beds, warm shower, amazing food, a great amount of space and super cheap. I absolutely loved it. The owner was the nicest person. I would definitely recommend it.
This place is nasty and crawling with roaches. The staff is rude and corporate wont refund your money
