So happy with the way my nails came out!!! When I tell you I have been looking for someone to do my nails right 😭 it was a struggle. My nails grow upward and I hate it so bad. Raymond knew exactly what to do for me and I didn’t have to explain my heart out to him. He said “I got you and I know what to do to help” 🥹 I told him so many people have told me that and I’ve left disappointed. He explained to me what he was gonna do and he even took the time to show me that I was gonna get what I expected. I’m definitely coming back to him!! I love the way my nails came out 🥰🫶🏻💅
I was actually very happy with my nails and service at Melody Nails and Lash as I walked out of the salon after getting them done. Glad I waited for a few days to write this review.The pictures are taken on the 4th day of getting my nails done. They had started chipping. On the 6th day polish started coming off from One of the tips of my nails.They charged 35$ plus tip for a poor job.The nail technician was really a nice lady and I enjoyed talking to her during the service but that does not compensate for this poor of a job.They also offer complimentary drinks here but I wish the quality of the job was better.I will not recommend this place.
TERRIBLE JOB, cut up my cuticles & refused to give a partial refund. Did a terrible job on my nails!!!!! I tipped $30+ dollars on top of this charge of $100+. I was very reasonable by asking for a partial refund of just the nails & still REFUSED to refund. The other workers said it was bad. I offered to send the picture to the owner and the owner did not care. I have been coming here for 3 years, I’ve had my nails done my Henry, Leo, Joey, Anjoline and more with no issues. NEVER AGAIN.
Amazing service and Response time!*In response to the one star review..the person that was doing my nails did tell her where to sit (chair #8) Im just going to assume she did not hear him. But he did tell her he didnt just point to the back of the salon, if she didnt hear she couldve asked again. Because of how they wear mask it is understandable how she couldnt have heard him..but again she could have asked. None the less amazing service he did mine, my moms, and sisters nails. Edit: 5 stars changes to 1 star. Raymond is the only tech who knows what he’s doing. i’ve gone in 3 times since my initial visit, and been disappointed every time. The last visit the tech ripped off my acrylics and then i had to return to have 2 nails fixed - i will not be returning.Previous Review: Raymond is an expert in his field! he knows what he’s talking about and is highly skilled at his craft, he took two different ideas of mine and combined them to create a unique look i never would have thought of on my own and it’s GORGEOUS. i will 100% be going back after the service i recieved
Gosh I usually love this place but today was excruciating. My nails are in so much pain😭that man was attacking my nails. I wanted a fill but for whatever reason couldn’t get one. None of my nails were lifting until the tech tried to clip off one of the gems on my nail and just about ripped the whole nail off. And then he said I needed a new set which was unexpected and more expensive than the nails looked like they were worth. (115 for French tips? Without tip) all of my nails are in pain because the nail tech ripped them off. I sat there wincing in pain for like ten minutes because unfortunately I’m too nice to say anything. The nails came out okay but definitely not worth what I paid. Don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon
My nails look amazing! The sweet girl who did my nails had such an attention to detail and combined all of my ideas into a beautiful set that is perfect for my upcoming trip! I also got a pedicure that was so relaxing and my toenails look so good with my nails and truly complete the full look! Will definitely be returning in the future.
I always come here when I want something quick and simple. They’re always really sweet and accommodating. I was offered a drink and even offered a phone stand to FaceTime my friend while I did my nails.Lee did my nails and he did great (simple for work)! He was really kind.Ryan did a great pedi and took his time. He also gave me recommendations on what to do with my toes that were a healthier option. Used to live in San Antonio and came here often. Moved to Austin and when I made a trip back into town I decided to come visit, they had a wait, understandable. They helped 2 ladies who came in after me before I even got a menu or got to pick a color for my pedicure. No one greeted me or showed me where to sit, gentlemen doing manicure just pointed to the back of the salon when I said I wanted a pedicure. Waited 45 minutes and then leftEDIT*Reply: I did not ask for a full set of acrylic nails, I just wanted gel color and pedicure. I did see people that arrived before me that were waiting for service and was patient, but the guests that arrived 10/15 minutes after I already sat down had not had any services started or in progress, they truly walked in after me and were serviced primarily
My experience at melody nails was very lovely. I just walked in and signed up for what I wanted. Ryan created a beautiful ombré set for me and walked me through care and each step as it was my first time getting acrylic. He even retouched my chipped pedicure! The location is clean and pretty and they offered me drink during my time here, excellent service! My new go to spot in San Antonio.
Since they wanna delete reviews I’ll postmy review AGAIN!I went to Melody nails because their Instagram caught my attention because of how good the nails they do looked. I was pretty taken back by their service and the outcome of my nails. I asked for chrome ombré nails I showed a picture to the guy who was doing my nails and he said he could do it. It started off great, but then he did seem kinda annoyed while doing my nails constantly stopping and stepping away. The nails on my right hand came out a lot better than the nails on my left hand. He took his time on my right hand, but he rushed through my left not even blending the ombré. You can see from the pictures below how completely different the nails look and I just think for the price the nails he could have at least tried or I would have even been ok if he said he didn’t want to do them and I could have gone with someone else instead of spending alot of money on something that was rushed. My friend also got her nails done by another artist there and hers came out so good. I wish I was told prior that they couldn’t do ombré and I would have gladly chosen something else. I’m just overall disappointed because I was really excited to get my nails done here.
$500 later - The first set, I showed them a picture from their Instagram And They Gave me the Temu version. They charged me 296 — After being there for 2 1/2 hours, I was getting stressed out and it was about to close so I didn’t let them finish my pedicure. I waited two days and came back for them to change the design because there’s no way anybody thought it looked good And do another pedicure and walked out and spent another $200 almost. No discounts no apologies.But he did make a joke that I should return every two weeks so he can do designs.Honestly, kind of weird.

I usually have the best experience here but today I didnt. Burned my hand at least 4 times with dremel. Plus I was only allowed to choose one color for my nails no accent color allowed. He was so ruff grabbing my hands and filing them. My hands are so sore.I will return but I will NOT let that same person do my nails again. I was told I was getting burned because my nails were so short, however I have been getting this done with short nails for a long time and he was the first one to hurt my hands.
The nail technician hailey has never failed been going to her for years always super nice and clean. she has never failed me or anyone i have taken. 100 out of 10 experience. if anyone says other wise they are LYING! the owner always makes it a point to make you feel right at home as well never going anywhere else.
I am year 3 at UTSA and ever since my freshman year I have been a customer at Melody Nails & Lash!! Definitely one of my favorite spots and it is close to where I live. Great service and a variety of designs to choose from for a great price! I love how they use a punch card for a chance to get a discount and they remember you if you become a regular. Beautiful environment and kind employees. 10/10 recommend for my college girlies!!

I went because of the reviews. They must pay for them because I was shook to see the gap between the nail and my real nail. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also they do talk about the people whose nails they do. Not to mention the nail techs have on shirts with church mums in bonding screwing each other. Weird vibe.
It was my first time going to this nail salon by UTSA BLVD, I came here to get my nails removed, for any decent nail technician this process should not be as complicated as this man made it out to be. I am disappointed and I was left in awe and discontent when I saw the way my nails looked afterwards. there is throbbing pain that I still feel in my nails and I have been wearing bandages to protect my nails because I feel immense pain. I am not the only person who has had issues with this and many of the bad reviews to this place are some references (along with the pictures I have provided) that what I am saying is not a lie. There is nothing the manager can threaten me with like he has done for the rest of the bad reviews, I will not take my review down because this is a PUBLIC MATTER!!! and offering discount codes or arguing with this is useless because there are pictures, including a screenshot of the appointment I made. My nails were filled so thin they started BLEEDING, the nail technician noticed and proceeded doing so, I kept trying to push my nails away because it was starting to hurt, as you can see from the pictures my nails are PAPER THIN, red spots are very visible, and the nails are not even filled properly. My natural nails were so thick long and beautiful and now it hurts so much to even touch them, they are unevenly filled and even the thinness of the nail is not even. At the end of it all he just threw oil on my nails and called it a day. I believe he is the husband of the owner I heard him say so myself so make sure you do not make appointments with him and if you want to get your nails done at a friendlier more professional nail place I suggest trying out hausofpolish, They will not hack your nails away
Melody Nails is a nice salon! Very beautiful, clean and spacious interior. The owner and staff are very nice and welcoming. I got my old acrylic nails removed and redone with a full set and shellac polish. I had 0 pain throughout the service. I also got cute Christmas designs on each of my nails! I am very satisfied and cannot stop smiling with the results! I will definitely come back.
10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!I had Choi as my technician, and I’m 1000% coming back to see him! He did my acrylics is about an hour (the fastest I’ve ever had) and while you would think it means my nails would be covered in imperfections, bumps, uneven polish and beading, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth! Choi paid attention to the details, and frequently asked if I was happy with the shape and length, whereas with other nail places I’ve been to they would ask what I wanted and just gave me that set shape. Choi asked me several times after filing if I liked the shape, and I’m glad he asked because I was feeling a bit unhappy with the shape and I told him what more I wanted from the shape, and he corrected it! (I wanted coffin, but the sides weren’t filed down enough at first for my tastes so they weren’t as square but they came out perfect!)I can tell Choi is very experienced in picking up the acrylic bead, because other technicians would rely on filing the nail down to smooth out the nail, whereas Choi’s acrylic bead was so perfect, my nails look beautiful BEFORE he even filed them!! They looked so good I almost didn’t want to put color on them! The price was very reasonable too, and I tipped heafty because I was so impressed by his work. My total cost was $70, tip included.I’ve been to many nail places and left unhappy because the nails were bumpy, or uneven, or had ugly streaks in the polish. It got to the point where I used press on nails for a good while, because no nail place could make them look as even and good as press on nails! But CHOI!!! Saved. The. Day. These nails look SO GOOD they look like they came out of a factory!! He also got the acrylic bead out from under my nails, which some places neglect! My friend recommended this place to me, and I was a bit hesitant due to not a lot of reviews, but I went for it and I’m so glad I did!The last nail salon I went to had lots of good reviews, (Bellagio Nails) and I had high hopes for it. The service there was good, but I paid $180 for a pedicure (polish only), and acrylics. They didn’t trim my toe nails, and they charged me $7 extra to trim my cuticles, whereas every other nail salon I went to INCLUDED that service! And the nails, foggy marble white with gold leaf (I asked for clear nails and she used a white tip, and the nails came out foggy instead of clear like the reference picture I gave her), were no where as perfect as the nails Choi gave me! I was there for 4.5 hours, with the pedicure being about 30 minutes-45 minutes. Suffice to say, she took a lot longer than Choi, and while I appreciated her taking her time, if they came out exactly as I wanted and as perfect as Chois, I would be fine with that long time!Stop by and ask for Choi!!! You won’t regret it!!I took these pictures a couple days after having them done, and they still look amazing!
It’s been such a long long time since I’ve found a decent nail artist. I used to go to Charisma nails down the street when Jason and Lilly were around, but since they left, I was lost. I couldn’t find a decent artist. Melody nails is down the road from me and today I needed a refill. I decided to go back to doing cute nails versus your basic solid color. The man upstairs blessed me with the adorable Mimi 😫💕 She is professional, sweet, and very talented! If you’re looking for cutesy tootsie nails I definitely recommend her; I’ve seen her other designs as well and if you’re looking for some baddie type nails, I still recommend her! 💕💕 Mimi and melody nails 10/10 ✨✨✨
I got my nails done today ( acrylic ) at Melody Nails & they did such a good job! I wish I knew the nail tech who did them but he was very talented & would ask me if everything looked okay before each step & even showed me color options, I’ve honestly never had a lash tech do that before! They really pay attention to detail & I had brought a reference photo with me & the nails I left with were honestly better than the reference photo! I might honestly start going here instead of my other place.

So the first time I went there I got gel done on my nails and my eyebrows done. My nails came out really good, but I notice about two weeks they started to chip. This was my first time going to melody nails but normally when I get gel done on my nails they do not chip at all and it lasts for months. Then my eyebrows didn’t looked like I got them waxed at all. I told myself I would never go there again. However, I wanted my nails and eyebrows done and melody nails is like two seconds away from me so I decided to give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE. This time my eyebrows did come out good, but my nails came out bad. It honestly looks like I did it myself . When I get my nails done at other places they cut my cuticles and actually try to make it look good, but not this place. Also it’s already starting to chip and break and it’s only been a WEEK. Then the worst thing is they charged me two different prices for them same things. The first time I went it was $22 then the second time it was $32. Let me tell you their service was not worth any of those prices. Like how can you mess up gel? It’s the simplest thing.
Jessie did a good job with my manicure and was very sweet. The girl I think it was amy who did my pedicure was good until I had to pay. I decided to pay for my friends bill also. I decided to tip 20 and she made a face making it seem like it wasn’t enough. My friend and I were outside of the place and went back inside to give 20 more and she still didn’t seem satisfied and waved the 20 and said out loud and a bit embarrassing “another 20 wow”. Not even a full 24 hours more like a couple hours later 2 of my nails on my toes just completely fell off in one piece. Mind you amy or whatever her name was convinced me to get shellac and said “ it’ll last longer”. I’m totally not satisfied. I would not recommend. Also my friend told me a guy there was unsatisfied that she didn’t want any designs and rolled his eyes at her for only wanting one color.
Love this nail salon! Ive been coming for two and a half years now and Ryan has been slaying my nail sets, no matter how simple or complex the design I am looking for is. The salon is very bright and relaxing, music is playing, Netflix is on all tvs, and they offer refreshments before beginning your sets. I would recommend to all college ladies to hit this spot!

Always tried to like this place, but every single time I go out of my way and spend over $100 for a basic nail design that won’t even stay on two weeks I regret my decision coming here and getting them done even though they do a pretty good job at shaping and detail. Super dainty nail tips they use or glue.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the Melody Nails and was greeted warmly by the manager . What a godsend this gentleman is. My nails look and feel fantastic. Ivy put on a new set and made certain that my cuticles were cut and my hands soft. She did it all with a smile and a gentle touch. During this time the staffs came over and took my drink order.This place is clean, organized and elegant. I am so pleased that they have Ivy working here, what a great addition she is to the shop.
Literally the worst experience Ive ever had. The mani/pedi themselves took over three hours. That includes an hour of waiting for a mani tech, even though I called to make an appointment. I mean, I can get that, though its not a great first impression.When they finally got around to my dip manicure, the tech completely skipped the base coat. He got to one nail and so I asked him if he was skipping the base coat. He got visibly angry, left me alone for another 10 minutes, then moved me to another tech.Then the second mani tech did the sloppiness job Ive had. Just wow. He couldnt keep his eyes off the football game on TV.

The nail tech used a worn out nail clipper and claimed it was new. How can it be new when it doesn’t cut nails. I had to ask another tech for clippers to cut my own nails. The tech kept saying they had a lot of people waiting when clearly that was not the case. He didn’t like that I had to cut my own nails when he didn’t do the job. He just wanted to do rush job. He spent no time scrubbing my feet or doing a thorough pedicure for package selected. In comparison to my companion my service was rushed.
Her salon is absolutely chic and classy as well as relaxing and calm. Her customer service is exceptional. I received a pedicure and had acrylic nails done and I am beyond impressed. Probably one of the worst experiences ever. $130 for a medium length manicure that the lady complained about the entire time. She had her coworkers laughing at me. She was man handling my hands and rolled her eyes twice. This does not look like what I paid for. My nails are half thick and half thin. Theres no consistency at all. Poor customer service and work.Pedicure $70Pedicure #2 $55Nails $130Total $255 I have my bank statement to prove it. I also left a $60 tip because the pedicures were nice. And Im not saying they should be the same as the picture I showed. Im saying that the amount of product on my nails has left them inconsistent. Not a issue for other nail salons Ive been to. I came here to get a classic set of nails. I was informed by the nail technician that they no longer do Pearl tips or French tip nails. My reason for wanting something classic was because I will be going to training soon and I cannot have flashy nails. I dont understand the reasoning behind not being able to give someone a classic and elegant set of nails, other than wanting to squeeze more money out of customers by up charging them for designs and jewels. Yeah, dont waste your time or money here.

My daughter and I got out nails done here two weeks ago. My daughters nails always chips and they are still looking great! The techs took their time and did a great job! I would recommend this place for sure! We will be going back

Place is modern / clean but probably the worst pedicure experience i’ve ever had. the tech was rude, left me to pick up my shoes while he rushed to the nail table. i don’t think i’ve ever had to put my own shoes on after a pedicure until today. actually i know this because it makes me way too nervous to do, so it was notable to have to do it! he didn’t thank me after i paid and left a tip, he just walked away. i had to ask someone for my receipt. maybe i’m old school but never in my life did i pay that much money for crummy treatment. i’d pay the little bit extra to go somewhere with actual customer service smh.

Lee was rushing through the process and he was hard on my nails. I felt like he was not taking his time to do a good job. That is why I asked to switch nail techs. Angelina was amazing though. Not only was the result amazing, but I also felt like she was properly taking her time and I did not feel rushed at all.

Richard did an AMAZING job on my full set! He was very detailed and patient with me! He did the most for my set with having to cut out each individual stencil and I’ve never had a manicurist want to do such a tedious job. I am super stiff and he had to tell me to relax a couple times but he never seemed frustrated which I really appreciate. He was very nice and made sure I was pleased throughout the process. My nails look gorgeous and the service was above and beyond. I am a very satisfied customer. Melody Nails has yet to disappoint me.
I absolutely love this place. Its clean and bright. The nail techs do modern designs and are up to date with new nail trends. The price point is a little higher than some of the older salons, but the work is well worth the money.
I always hate finding new nail places. I also had a feeling I would be waiting for a while seeing at it was around 4 pm. Boy was I wrong. As soon as I walked in they asked what I wanted and took me back to a chair for a pedicure. I get really bad ingrowns on my big toes and they did a great job on getting them out! They couldve been a little more rough with the massage but I work on my feet all day, and they are definitely thanking me for checking out medoldy nails! 100% will be returning for future pedicures.

I absolutely love the outcome of this place! Its so clean and beautiful. There isnt one dirty spot and I see them working hard on my nails! I asked for my acrylics to be redone and the tools are very clean as I saw Jimmy cleaning them. I paid over $200 and my toe nails didn’t last a week . Two chipped and one toe nail completely fell off . Gel usually last me 3 weeks . I probably won’t come back. My finger nail set is cute though

This is my first visit to this salon and I will be back for sure. Ivy was my Nail Tech and she did a wonderful job. I got a dipping powder with Tips and I never gotten. Dip Nail before ,it looks so natural and she worked very fast with a good conversation. She made me feel very welcome, the salon itself is really new and clean and modern,very good value for the price and location. I also got my eyebrows waxed.Overall a great experience.

When I came here, my experience was great. I got my nails done in time because I had to leave soon for a meeting. I was also given a pedicure by Jimmy. It calmed me down, and it was very relaxing in the end! The store was very clean and it was one of the best places Ive ever went to. The quality of everything was outstanding, especially the tools. I saw Ivy clean them beforehand and they looked brand new so props to them. I waited about 3 minutes before getting my nails done and I thought that this was a good place because I have waited 10+ minutes before. Thank you for doing my nails Ivy it is so beautiful! NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN! I would leave zero stars if I could. I was looking forward to a relaxing pedicure and was rushed in and out in 20 MINUTES. I did not receive any type of massage. Lotion was literally wiped on my legs and wiped right off.

Never again, the lady kept huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes at me whenever I would change something or when I would try to explain to her how I wanted my nails. She would say she couldn’t do it to simple designs and told me “I’m not at artist.” Like ok then why do you do nails? She has no patience, I went here cause my friends wanted a pedicure. I have never had anyone give me such a hard time. If you go, make sure you have a picture ready, simple design, one color, there is no room for creativity here.

First time coming in here- It’s right down the street from me so super convenient. I called in advance to make sure they could fit me in, they sat me almost immediately and got started. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and I got just that! The lady doing my pink and white skinny French tip acrylics had an eye for detail and went back and made sure they were perfect even though they already looked fantastic to me. The younger gentleman was super attentive and asked how I was doing throughout my time there. I was looking for a new nail spot where people were attentive and professional & this is exactly what I received. This will be my new nail spot 😌

This nail salon was really great. I called and they took me in right away. I went into get a pedicure. The girl did an amazing job and paid attention to detail.
I wanted to love this place but due to all the unsanitary and illegal practices I saw there I cannot return. I followed them on Instagram and some of their work is beautiful, but if you look closely at the cuticles a lot are cut. They used dirty nail clippers, drill bits, and nail files on me, all very unsafe and illegal. The place was very dirty with all the tables covered in acrylic shavings and clipped nails and they did not clean them in between customers. My nail tech was very nice but he didn’t touch my cuticles and knicked me with the dirty drill bit, I pray I don’t get an infection. If they slowed down and fixed the sanitation issues there’s probably a lot of talented techs there.
The fake nails at this salon are also very impressive. They have a wide range of false nail designs and materials to choose from. I opted for a simple yet classy looking fake nail, and Im very pleased with this choice.
