Amazing service, I was there with lot of pain Sofia was great to understand my problem and recommend me the right massage. The lady who did my massage was very nice and kind and she really wanted to help me reduce my body pain. She did a great with massage. Thank you Ark spa, highly recommend this place!

I have been here several times, this place is very clean, the masseuse is kind and the massage is very relaxing. I love here.

*****Update 12/30/2023*****Ended the old year 2023 with a reflexology massage with my friend. Never had massage side by side with a friend. Its what we needed to end our day after shopping . I called and right away took us in. Been here many times and wanted to come here again. If you check in through yelp app, you get 20 % off if you get a reflexology massage and pay by cash only . Thats what we did. It includes foot soak and foot massage and massage full body with clothes on . With the busy holidays and being a mother this is what we needed today. They also have a new machine called , Dr Fuji cyber body slimmer that shakes your fat cells (breaks them off) to help your weight loss journey $20 for 15 minutes. Check out my friend testing it! See videos.Previous review earlier in 2023:So far I have visited this place 4 times. I used to go when it was owned by two others, the last one was New Energy Spa. Now its called Ark Massage and hope they are here to stay. Its conveniently located near my home and near stores that I frequent, Ding Tea and The Perfect Beauty Bar, CVS and Marshalls. I can accomplish several things before or after my massage. The lady at front desk , Sophia, is very nice and speaks English. So you will have to explain what specifically you want done in your session so she can tell the massage therapist as they dont speak English. I may have carpal tunnel so I was hesitant at first as I have not gotten official treatment and testing but I could not stand the stiffness and pain.The male i has today was excellent. His name is Franco. He was like a physical therapist where he did some good stretches to my neck (flexion forward) and black and groin stretch. I have a sit down job full time so I needed to be stretched. I asked for any Chinese pain ointment and they had it available. I paid a little extra but its worth it.This is my weekend hangout for an hour to hour and a half every week so far and it makes a difference in my quality of life especially when I am constantly in pain in my arm and tense in my neck and shoulders from my jobThis is part of my carpal tunnel treatment plan ! I get massages weekly now and I also started acupuncture somewhere else. I will start physical and occupational therapy soon. As of 4/25/23 I was officially diagnosed with moderate carpal tunnel syndrome. Getting massages here is important to me for my sanity and stress.I can just call same day and still get an appointment. So convenient and affordable also

I have been here for several times, all the stuff are very nice and professional, they always ask what pressure level would you like and do you have any part focus. I love this place, I’m sure I will be back soon!

This was my first visit to ARK spa. Fabulous place. Very clean, organized and fantastic service. Sophia at the front desk is the best. She also does facials and his very accomplished. The facial I got today was fantastic! You cant go wrong and Ill be back soon.

I have been here twice, they provide very good deep tissue. My shoulders are relaxed after the massage.highly recommend to give them a try.

My honest review of Ark Massage SpaTime flies. My wife and I have been at Ark Massage Spa for over a year now. Our first visit was on Feb. 19, 2023 when they are reopened after the pandemic. Actually we had been at the same location for many years with the previous owner.Overall we are very satisfied with the current owner, their professional staff and well trained technical skills. They know the meridians of human body, give a deep and accurate tissue massage, whether you have a back pain, shoulder un-comfy or neck sore, after the massage, you feel a freshness.I have to admit that Sofia, who is a manager, but more important she is a certified massage technician. Every single time we only ask for Sofia and Amy for combo massage service.We are so glad to having them and the best wishes for Ark Massage Spa.

In San Diego for business with my wife—we had some time to kill and she suggested foot massages. I can dig it, so we drove down the road to Ark Spa. I had no idea what to expect, but man, I was so pleasantly surprised (though I shouldnt have been...all the positive reviews are spot on)!We decided on the 60-minute foot massage, though the staff member suggested the foot / back combo and they were probably right. Both my wife and I were able to be in beds next to each other which was nice. I expected just a foot massage, but we got way more than that, including (over the clothes) massages on the back, arms, head, face, hands, etc. They went way above and beyond!!!My body is broken from sports so I get massages quite often, typically at a monthly-subscription chain but also high end hotels, spas and more. Most are hit or miss. Ironically some of the worst experiences came at the most expensive / high end hotel/spas. This was one of the best spa experiences Ive ever had!! While only 60-minutes, I swear they treated us for longer. The price absolutely cant be beat for the service and to top it off, the staff was so nice. We were just there today and were already trying to figure out if we can make it back after working our event tomorrow. I only wish this place was back where we live!!

Very clean and roomy place. It has many private rooms. 3 of us had full body massage by 3 masseurs who were superb, professional, and caring. We left with more than satisfied smiles. Definitely will come back.

Super nice front desk and therapists, I have came here couple times. I tried with different therapists like Daisy and Sophia. Very professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED. I have done sports massage and swedish massage with them. So relexing and I feel so blessed they can treat my pain point. Come try it out.

My 1st ever facial was completed by Sophia ❤️ I was trying to kill some time after work and thought, why not treat myself...I was grateful Sophia fit me in as a walk-in and had a nice clean room ready in minutes. I watch alot of Facial ASMR on you tube and I got exactly the same level of service Ive seen in videos...which was nice that I kinda knew what to expect in the process...She was gentle and kind...I definitely will make this part of my self care routine...I only had a hr but next time Im going for 90 minutes.

This was my second visit to Ark and I decided I wanted to write something. Not only I am a picky massage customer, but more importantly, I know how to choose a good service. Why do you get massages? Have you ever asked yourself that? Just relax, find a quiet place, treat yourself, maybe. The real meaning of massage is to check your body, detoxify, and maintain a normal balance of immune function. This is the purpose of my massage. If you have the patience to read the ancient Chinese medical books, you will understand the principle I said. I dont want to give my body a problem and take a bunch of chemical pills and damage the rest of my organs. I want to prevent physical problems, so I make sure to get a massage once a month at my current age, and if you are over 50, you can better than twice a month! You may ask how do you know which part of your body is in bad condition? When a qualified technician massages your body, some places will hurt, some places relax, the painful place is where you are obstructed, you have to use massage to discharge body toxins, keep drinking warm water after massage. The masseuses of Ark not only meet the qualified standards of massage for body acupuncture points, but the most important thing is that I have come here twice to change different masseuses, they all have the focus to serve customers. When I was being massaged, the masseuse‘s hands was speaking to my body. I was not perfunctory service, but a professional and attentive service. So I highly recommend this store, it is the overall good quality service, rather than a skilled massage. So Ill stick to this place and take care of my body parts. I forgot to mention that the facials are also amazing and Im so satisfied that I dont have to run to another store to get my facial done, I can do it all at once! I hope my comments will be helpful!

Sophia and Daisy gave me and my boyfriend a couples massage on Christmas Eve, they took us in with a last minute reservation and everything was GREAT!The spa is very clean, serene, and relaxing. They are skilled at what they do and make you feel very comfortable. Would return again and again!

I have been to this massage spa several times. The masseuses are very nice and with great technique, I had an aromatherapy massage yesterday, I slept very well. I’ll be back for sure. Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I had a great experience at Ark Massage! I am never able to relax or feel relaxed while getting a massage, but I felt so relaxed during my massage at Ark massage in Mira Mesa. They did a great job with certain areas I was concerned or held a lot of tension. We also got cupping treatment. Sophia was great and made us feel comfortable during the cupping treatment. She was very accommodating when scheduling us in. I highly recommend! 🤍🤍

My wife and I tried the couple massage today. It’s the best massage we had. We had a relaxing time and great way to release stress. Surely will come back for more. I’d highly recommend to family and friends!

I decided on this place for a deep tissue massage. I have been very stiff from other back treatments Im currently doing. I also did cupping. I am very happy and appreciate staff asking beforehand if Im comfortable with a male masseuse before sending me off to the back. Staff was very friendly and did check on me multiple times throughout the massage.The pricing for this place is fair. If you are going to pay with a debit card, there is a $2 fee for doing so. I honestly didnt mind paying it because of how thorough they were with the massage.Overall, it was a very clean facility, I enjoyed the relaxing music that was played and the hot stone massage that is included in the massage. They did check with me if the heat was okay for me.

First time and it was wonderful. Ask for Franco if you can - he’s insanely good! He worked through my knots on my neck/shoulder area and tightness on my hamstrings - left me feeling super relaxed.Hot stones are included in full body massage - highly, highly recommended.

Ive been going to this place for the past year and its honestly one of my favorite spots to go and get a massage from. The aunties are super sweet and very accommodating when it comes to scheduling. Usually, I book it super last minute over the phone or I just do a walk in, and every time Ive been able to get an appointment slot. Aside from that I feel like they charge you a fair price for the service that youre getting. When you say you want hard level pressure they really dig into all of your knots and it HURTS (but in the best way). Ive always had really great experiences and I will continue to go to them in the future. Highly highly recommend. If youre having doubts about whether or not to go here, just go for it and book an appointment. They just started a new punchcard promo so you best believe ill be taking advantage of it.Edit: I forgot to mention but they have free optional hot stones which always put me to sleep :))

Went here for the first time to get a 60 min massage. Scheduling was easy. I’ve been having a very sore back the last 2 weeks and the therapist did not ask me what type a massage I was looking for. As the massage began she massaged me over the sheet for 20-30 mins. This is not normal. I used to be a massage therapist so I’m very familiar as to what a good massage is. After she was done massaging me over the sheet she then left the room to get hot stones. I don’t think she was very familiar with the proper sheet etiquette because I felt quite exposed. She left the room a few times throughout the massage and I felt it was kind of disruptive. I paid for a full body massage and she didn’t even massage my feet. Then as I was leaving I wanted to tip her even though I didn’t enjoy it. She said I’m “required” to tip at least $10. I don’t mind tipping well when I feel it’s deserved. I won’t be going back here.

I am glad I stumbled upon this massage place while in the complex for eyebrow threading. This is now my new favorite massage place in Mira Mesa. Unlike the old one I used to go to, this place is very clean, tastefully decorated and walls are not made of cardboard. The place smells good and they have relaxing nusic as well. The people working here are very friendly and I got my full body massage by Michelle both times I have been here and she was so so so good. Price is reasonable compared to other places and I really love to come here for my messages. The second time I was here, I got my husband also and he loved his massage as well. His masseuse was strong and professional as well. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience!! So relaxing. Just what I needed. Great prices. I gave a $10 tip. Some of the misuses dont speak good English but thats okay. They have great skills at massaging. If you desire a nice massage, go here. Also they have options to choose from. You can do a full body massage where you take most of your clothes off and your in a private room. Or you could do a foot and body massage where you leave your clothes on and its on a very comfortable chair that reclines. And its amazing!!! $45 and beyond on worth it! Try it out.

Not too impressed. First time was pretty good but second and third try were not smooth. I called made an appointment for an hr deep tissue massage when i got there at the appointment time they told me to come back in an hr? Super unprofessional and they offered nothing for the inconvenience. Today i went again and specifically asked for a deep tissue massage but this isnt what I got. The massage felt overall weak not enough pressure and she started walking up my legs and back without asking if thats ok with me. I am not a fan of the walking on my back and legs expecially since I had a knee surgury two years ago. I told her to stop walking on me and I want a massage with hands they do not understand english well. I do not like how u can not communicate with them easy and the fact they sent me away at my appointment time with no free massage or anything for the inconvenience. I probably will not go back.

Went in for the first time today for a 60 minute couples massage with my husband. The masseuse working on me started with the sheet on me. At first I thought she was just warming me up and prepping my body, but after 5 minutes I peeked to check on my husband, and his masseuse had his sheet off of him and was using oil. I asked why he was getting a different massage and both masseuses started asking me if I wanted a chair massage instead. My husband looked up and told them that we both wanted the same massage, and if there was a problem we were going to walk out and get our money back. My masseuse then promptly got the oil for me, but it was such a strange and off putting experience that we are never going back. Going to try Massage Envy instead. We tipped well, but they did not gain new customers.

My wife and I decided to get a couple’s massage today. It was my first time getting a massage. We are brought into the couples room and the masseuses came in shortly thereafter. Five minutes after the massage began, the masseuse pull the sheet off of my back and start’s giving me an oil massage.My wife (who is gorgeous) looks over and saw me getting an oil massage while her masseuse is still massaging her through the sheet on her back. After my wife brought this to my attention, I told them if we aren’t getting the same treatment, then we will leave and get our money back. The masseuses then ask my wife if she wants a chair massage (which is strange), even though we paid for a couples massage. My wife’s masseuse then promptly starts giving her an oil massage.I didn’t go into this place looking to be distracted by anyone, I came to enjoy a relaxing massage with my beautiful wife.They made it super awkward, needless to say we won’t be coming back.

I called ahead to see if they can fit me in right away and they said yes. I arrived 10 mins later and they took someone else and I had to wait an hour later for the next appointment. They also made me pay upfront for the service first which I have never done at a massage place.Im not sure if they are certified since at one point the lady took off her shoes and got on the table and straddled me. Otherwise the massage was just okay. They seem to just be going over the strokes instead of focusing on sore spots/knots in the body. Its also fairly cold in the massage room.English is limited.

I went the Mira Mes Ark Spa a few times. Wonderful service, affordable cost, and very cozy environment. I also enjoy chatting with the massagists. I will for sure continue to visit there.
