Came here for a drink with a friend and immediately fell in love. This is such a cute space for a date night or a friends gathering. The drinks are great, and the ambiance is just the right amount of dark/light. Would definitely be back.

I had a great time at this small bar located in the SOMA district. They have several beers on their menu, plus a list of some awesome cocktails. They have a full bar, so you can order just about anything you want, even if its not on the menu.

I had no food. I participated in a street cleanup in the area with Refuse Refuse San Francisco, and this was the gathering spot. We gathered before, spread out and cleaned some streets, and met afterwards. The atmosphere was improved by the fighting of the blight. Otherwise, Ive not been in the habit of frequenting bars. Nothing against them. Everything about alcohol is cheaper from a liquor store, but the atmosphere of Driftwood changes with who youre there with. Your company makes or breaks your experience. At least, thats this one mans take on it.

Jack In the Box. Has excellent fast food Gary st. Up the blk. best prices and the best affordable food in San Francisco. Get you a Juicy BURGER with some Curly Fries and sit in Union Square. Then go to Macys and get you a Starbucks Cappuccino and Shop. ITS THE BEST 👌

Hung out at Driftwood last night its a quiet festive fun little out of the way place that you could take a date to or hang out with friends out of the way but not far away from anything located in the south of market Soma district conveniently near other bars and dance clubs a great way to start the evening or finish a cool night out you wont be disappointed with the atmosphere easy inviting and comfortable

Bartenders are sloppy and slow. Expect them to serve their friends who just stepped up to the bar after you’ve already been waiting 5 minutes for a drink.

Happy hour Old Fashioneds are strong and cheap enough to have more than you should on a weekday afternoon.

Words cannot express the laid back vibe but high end/quality drinks of this hidden gem of a place. To say the staff is above and beyond would not do it justice. Hand crafted. Artisanal drinks. Great music and live performances and an unpretentious crowd representing this amazing city. Diverse. Fun. Intelligent. Engaging.

Good bar. Dark inside. Good drinks. Nice bartenders (at least the times Ive been here). The last time I was here, got a generous portion of a Glenlivet founders reserve, for $10. My friends really enjoyed the mescal based special also. Will totally go again.Oh and its generally not crowded at all. Super easy to get the bartenders attention, and a drink (or a few).

I was visiting some friends while passing through the area. They wanted to go out for a couple late drinks and brought me to this place. It had a very welcoming atmosphere and I had a couple glasses of hard cider. It was a fun time and would definitely go back again when in the area next time.

This bar has a really hip atmosphere. Theyve taken actual driftwood and incorporated it into the decor with furniture pieces. The drinks are good. Cant go wrong with any of the whiskey drinks. The bar tender was nice. The place is expensive though, so not going to be a regular place for me. Would probably be good for a date.

A bartender told me 2 diet cokes would be $8 total… and then proceeded to charge me $20. Fine, whatever but since I was charged more than double what he stated, I decided not to tip. My email receipt via Square said he added his own tip.This is ILLEGAL

Talk about delicious craft cocktails and a sexy mood. Definitely recommend sitting in the back area where there are some couches. If you have a chance, also order their ranch chips and their jerky. Both the ranch dip and the jerky are homemade at the bar and make a great accompaniment to any cocktail

Weve wanted to try this place for a long time, since its in our neighborhood and there always seems to be people inside.Well, we finally went and... it was just okay. One of the bartenders greeted us and then went MIA. The other bartender had a very bad attitude with us + everyone who walked in, to the point where it just killed our vibe for the rest of the night :/Overall, this place just felt kind of pretentious and try-hard. We left there asking ourselves why we paid for overpriced cocktails, just to have the good mood ruined for the night. We were kicking ourselves for not going to another bar we knew wouldve been more fun.

Love the staff here. Everyone is so darn nice, especially Cody, and they pour a strong drink too! They have music on and DJs who play too. Weve had a few birthday parties there and it is always a good time. Good crowd, not too sloshed and very friendly. Local fave!

Super potent drinks and great people to boot. Its a great place to host an office event! CHRIS, the owner, is SO chill and he treats you right. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable about spirits. It is jus a fun time at Driftwood.

Really cool hip (but not hipster) bar here with a mature crowd and nice dim lighting. Its a perfect date spot to get a few drinks and theyre reasonably priced at about 9-10 bucks a cocktail. Theyve got a couch in the back and a working piano as well. The level of music is just right and not too loud to cover your conversations.

This place is like queer Cheers. The best place in SoMa for a *really good* cocktail, great people, and by the end, everybody knows your name. Love.

A cute tiny bar with dim lighting - good place for friends hangout or date. But if there happen to be a rowdy crowd you might find it hard to listen clearly. I order Hemmingway’s cousin, it’s nice but a bit plain

Always good, from before and now. High hospitality in low times.Solid cocktail offerings, I do recommend the Yuzu Buck made with scotch.Food support from friends across the street. Chicken and waffles were the kind of healing you cant get with a bandaid.Thank you!

Wanting to bond with some new friends over booze last week, and, being in the area, the six of us decided to check out Driftwood, which had been sitting in my bookmarks for months.Having a Langton and Brooklyn over the next two hours, and sips of drinks from the others, Id say that their cocktails are all pretty solid, quite tasty, and reasonably priced. And, on a Wednesday night at least, the venue itself is a pretty chill and cozy joint, being very conducive to conversation, or, as the couple sitting behind us proved, making out without a care in the world.***Accessibility Info***Venue - A medium sized bar with some couch/sofa based seating towards the front and the back. The bar itself is, of course, standard bar counter height, so the former is much more accessible than the latter.Bathroom - Didnt check them out.

This place is super cute. They have signs that look like theyre made of real driftwood. The atmosphere is quaint and accommodating, and has a nice seating arrangement with couches in the back.The cocktails are also superb. I got the Vesper, which is gin, vodka, and lillet blanc. Its light, but flavorful and definitely has a slight kick. I typically dont like vodka, at all, but couldnt really taste it in the drink.I enjoyed this place a lot, its a bit quiet and when we went, it was a little empty, but still a good stop for the night.

We went pretty early in the evening, so there was thankfully no line and the place was quiet enough for easy conversation. But make sure your phone has a flashlight on it, because you wont be able to read the menu or the tab due to the super dark mood lighting.

Great spot for high west w/one big cube. Was a major gay bar - seems like its been open to the public for a while while still maintaining its heritage - if you doubt that just check out the sculpture in the bathroom

Very cool vibe here. Water is available on tap so you don’t haha to wait for a bar tender for that. Great divey vibe and a pool table so it’s a nice place to hangout and relax over a couple drinks

Fruit flies swirled in big lazy circles all around the bar, and that kinda added to the cowboy ambience, but sanitary & civilization has got to win out, guys.Plenty of seating variety at 6 pm on a Thursday. We had a corner nook of cushions to ourselves.The drinks were fine. We had a smoky Sheridan and a tepid Clementina. All cocktails are $11.Not much to say about Driftwood beyond it being AOK. There certainly are other places working harder for your cocktail dollar.

Nice, new bar on Folsom. Replaces Kok Bar which closed. Very friendly bartenders, great cocktails, excellent beer. A place where everyone will feel welcome. Try the special punch...it packs a punch!

Found Driftwood while passing by. It is a cute little bar with not a ton of space. The kicker for me, was that they made some pretty artisan cocktails. Mine was delicious.

This place was fine. The staff is nice and the drinks are okay. There was a poster for live music that night but it was canceled. So I waited an hour and a half there.
