3rd Update 🌟Joey was absolutely above and beyond, I realized she is an expert on facial massage, and she has been doing it for 30 years! which I havent done before since I dont trust anyone with my face. She was very vocal of each step and explained every step, devices, and products she used. I will definitely come back, and not only that, Ill recommend her to my friends and business partners. I will promote her SPA on my social platforms and social media as well. I do appreciate how quickly she responded and how honest she was.1st review.I mentioned several times that I wanted a softer massage due to my back pain before even starting. The lady that did my massage ignored that and said it was supposed to hurt, in a tone like I never had a massage before. I complained several times during the session as well. Now, I am experiencing even worse back pain. Avoid this place, in my opinion.

This place was okay. Atmosphere and the employees -outstanding. Offered delicious water and tea to me and my friend when we were getting our nails done. As far as my manicure went - it is far from outstanding. Right hand looks acceptable,left hand looks like was painted on by my ten year old sister. Just looks sloppy and there was nail polish around my skin and stuff. Not too happy. Picture was taken not even a half hour after the manicure.

The massage itself was actually very good but I was charged THREE times for the same service (due to issues with their payment machine). One was refunded but the other additional charge was not (despite the owner assuring me that the additional payment would not be taken). I tried contacting by email and phone to resolve the issue but have been ignored. As a foreign tourist, I can’t go back and resolve this issue in person.Shame given the service itself was good but can’t give a good rating when they double charge you to the tune of $260.

Really good signature massage. I was surprised by the foot scrub but I wish it was more thorough.Really nice touch with the heated bed. Jessie applied the right amount of pressure without the need to be corrected. The massage was calming without being painful at any point. I thoroughly enjoyed it and came out properly relaxed. Though I believe Im gonna need more than 1 90-minute session to take out all my knots

This Spa, though hidden in the SOMA area, is a relaxing gem of a place.The therapists are all kind and compassionate, timely, and experienced.Tables are classical Asian style with no face cradle. Its built into the table.Therapists use hot towels in numerous ways, which gives a luxury to the overall experience.The Owner is a genius with technology and is an overall great human being. If people judged establishments on the character of the owners, its likely this place would be number one on everyones bucket list.

I got a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Melissa, and it was one of the best massages Ive had to-date. Relaxing from start to finish with just the right amount of pressure.

I had a good foot reflexology at Qua. Felt very nice and relaxing. My friend had Deep Tissue Massage and she loved it. Since her birthday was tomorrow, they asked her to choose aroma fragrance massage oil as a freebie which is very nice of the staff. Both of us had a very good time. If time allows, I would love to visit again for Deep Tissue Massage along with my best friend.

I just visited QUA for the first time and have already booked my next appointment. I had a massage with David and a facial with Eva. Both were fantastic.David was really friendly and lovely to talk to during the foot soak portion of the signature treatment. Once the massage started, he was respectful of the quiet relaxation time and really paid attention to my problem areas.Eva really knows her stuff when it comes to skincare. And while I dont love extractions, that was only a small portion of the facial. The rest felt great and my skin looks amazing! I swear my pores have never looked so tiny!Treat yourself. Its worth it!

Great experience, the service is of high quality. The front desk receptionist is super friendly and considerate and so are the massage and facial therapists. Overall great service, offers Water and sweets, smells very nice and clean area. Definitely recommend and coming again!

Let me start by saying that QUA wins in customer satisfaction, in my book. I had originally purchased a gift certificate for my husband to have two massages at QUA - hes got a stressful job and really needed it. We had never tried QUA, and it really looked like the perfect, serene haven from what I could read on their website. Sadly, his experience was not a good one. Without getting into details, Ill just say that I wrote a letter to the owner, detailing what had happened and she IMMEDIATELY contacted me. She offered me the opportunity to come back and try again, with a 90 minute massage and manicure.Since hubby wasnt interested in going back, I used the services. The ambience was a bit weird, because they were undergoing renovations at the time, but overall I could tell that they were working towards a beautiful, serene environment. Rodney gave me a fabulous massage - both relaxing and therapeutic, and he really worked with me on specific areas that had been causing me problems. It was amazing! After that, I had one of the best manicures Ive ever had! My nails are problematic - very brittle and not the most beautiful shape - but Karen shaped them perfectly and really took her time. I strutted out of QUA an new woman - refreshed, relaxed, and feeling great!KUDOS to the folks at QUA for turning lemons into lemonade for me. Ill definitely be back!

Not usually one to leave reviews, however I read reviews for this spa and thought it seemed ok. Unfortunately my massage was not enjoyable, I asked for a firm pressure which was nothing more than soft. Lots of unexplained pauses or leaving the room, which I found very unprofessional.My facial was ok, but unsure of the cleanliness of products and workspace.Overall the salon was also quiet unkept.Unfortunately being Australian the price I paid was quite expensive for something I did not enjoy..

Tracy is amazing like always! She is very sweet and just an overall 10 star experience. I initially came here because my go to spa closed down due to the pandemic and this was noted as their sister location on their website. Im glad to haven chosen Qua for my routine Services now. Definitely more conveniently located by the freeway. I Love how clean and simple this spa is too Which is a must because of the OCD in me 😝

I had a great experience getting a massage at Qua. It was very relaxing and I felt like special care was taken with the areas I had mentioned needed more attention. I was actually given a bonus aromatherapy facial treatment just as a trial, and that was great too. The massage stations were a little bit close together and near to a hallway so every once in a while there would be a little bit of a distraction from people moving around. But overall I had a great massage and do plan on returning to try a manicure.

Extremely amazing costumer service. One of the best massages I have had before. Definitely felt extremely relaxed and well taken care of. The facility is well maintained and I would love to check out the manicure and pedicure aspect of this spa as well! Cant wait to go back again. Take the time to pamper yourself :)

Really enjoyed my enzyme peel + oxygen Facial with Nina, it was super relaxing and appreciated her step by step explanations as it was my first time getting a facial! Also the aromatherapy and massage were great. She even took before and after pictures so I could see the difference the treatment made

I love coming to QUA! I love the ambience, it always feels so peaceful and serene. The staff are always nice and very accommodating. I regularly get my nails done by Sandy and she is a perfectionist, just like me! I also got a facial before my wedding by Carmen and it was FANTASTIC! I left with glowing, dewey skin and it was perfect right before my wedding! You must check this place out!

As an Esthetician myself, I went to QUA for an Oxygen Facial to treatment. This is my first review -- ever! Thats how happy I am and compelled to say, THANK YOU QUA.It was amazing!! I cant tell you enough how important it is to take care of yourself and your Skin.I walked in and it felt like a Spa, smelled like Roses, had tea, friendly staff and wonderful environment. It was like total serenity being at another Spa.For $110, it lasted about 75minutes. Carmen had the hands of an Angel. I didnt want to get up! She really understood my needs and took care of my skin.Ladies and Gents, this is worth it. Buy the Package Price, its way more worth it and you get a massage :)You must visit QUA. I cannot wait to come back.

Visiting SF and made a stop here! Amazing spa, got a mini facial for my mom and I and we both loved it. Nina and Eva took care of us and they were great! Super kind and caring staff, will definitely come back if i find myself in the area again!

This was my first time coming to Qua, the Spa. I must say it was the most pleasant experience I had ever had for my gel manicure. Not only did Sandy give me such a great massage, she cleaned my cuticles so neatly, my hands look as good as ever. I most definitely will be making continuous appointments here. 5 stars!!

I went to Qua as a birthday present to myself. I had Imani for a 90-minute session and she was absolutely wonderful. The foot scrub she used was wonderful and relaxing. Also, her massage technique is outstanding and her service was great. Cant wait to return.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. David zeroed in on my pain and worked magic. He’s an incredibly intuitive therapist. I felt great after walking out, but it was really the next day that I realized how much different my body felt. Thank u so much!

Ive been living in SOMA GRAND for a few months now and have been meaning to try QUA out especially since I work from home. My mom was in town and she wanted to get a pedicure so we called and booked a spot. I havent been to many spas so its hard to compare but I really liked QUA, it was very relaxing. It wasnt noisy like other places we had been to for manicures/pedicures. Service is good they offer you tea/water. The place is very clean. Check it out, it would be a good break after a shopping sprint at Westfield.

I had a good experience at Qua. My masseuse was polite, and checked in once to see how I was doing during the massage. It was a high quality massage, and the atmosphere is nice, clean, and relaxing. My only complaint is I wish the price were a little more reasonable. Overall Id recommend Qua.

Ive watched Qua transform over the past 2 years and I have to say they just keep getting better! All of the services Ive had the pleasure of receiving have been great and I particularly love their signature facial. The oxygen treatment is a MUST try! Their products are super effective and the staff is just wonderful. Not to mention, parking is super easy - that makes any visit to a spa just a little more relaxing. I love all of my visits to Qua, thanks and keep up the great work!

Both the facial and 90 minute massage were top notch. Upon arrival we filled in a brief questionnaire to highlight any allergies or issues we might be having. Afterwards we were greeted by two friendly therapists who then worked on my problem areas. I left feeling refreshed, relax, and invigorated. I would highly recommend.

This was my second visit to Qua Spa. I received a wonderful express massage from Erica. She made sure to ask if the pressure was fine as she moved from head to neck to shoulders. I also received a mani/pedi from Sandy. She was efficient and polite. This is a great place when you want a non-nonsense kind of service, as it really doesnt have a true luxury spa feel. The space is very small and on street level - nicer than some other nail salon/spas, but certainly not equal to others.

Was in San Francisco for the weekend and my appointment at another spa fell through so booked this place last minute. I paid for a 60 minute deep tissue massage.I will preface this by saying I am athletic and typically get a massage every 4 weeks. This was one of the weakest deep tissues I have had. Despite requesting firm pressure on my My husband said the same of his massage as well. There are some pros - - facilities are nice, staff was friendly but the massage was meh.

Went here for a massage and a mani/pedi with a friend and my mom. Such a great experience - everyone was really nice, you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. My massage was one of the best I have had. They timed it so my friend and I could get our nails done together while my mom had another treatment. It was a one of those rare afternoons where you get to sit back and be pampered, so enjoyable - I recommend it!

I like to go here to QUA for a mani/pedi or facial. I have yet to try a massage, but cant wait to do so. The customer service/experience is amazing and the ambiance is so relaxing.The nails techs are amazing and my gel manicures last well over 2 weeks. The oxygen facial is also great and the esthetician made great recommendations for future skin care and products.I have definitely recommended QUA to all of my friends and family!

I had my first facial in what felt like forever! Eva did a wonderful job, thoroughly explaining the process and being sure to tailor to my skin. Front desk staff was also very kind and professional!

I work nearby but I have been slow to try Qua because I thought the prices were pretty high. They are - but I finally broke down and got a brazaillian wax with Deborah yesterday. She was amazing. Probably one of the best waxes that Ive ever had (and Ive had a lot). Decently painfree (it was only a little uncomfortable because Im pregnant but she cant control that), using hard wax and so thorough. And a lovely conversation. Very clean. Highly recommend. Would be back more often if the prices were a more reasonable.

My wife had a terrible customer service experience at the Qua Spa which really soured us on the place.My wife had a gift certificate (through Groupon) for a massage at Qua, and was excited for the experience. But when she arrived, she was told that she could not use it because she was pregnant. Further, she was told that she could not apply the gift certificate towards a pregnancy massage (and pay the difference). Nor could she use the massage after her pregnancy, because it would have expired by then. Nor could she transfer it to someone else that wasnt pregnant.She asked is there any way for me or anyone else to use this certificate?, to which they replied no. They had an opportunity to really impress us with their customer experience and care, but fell short.

Excellent massage from Rodney! He really worked the problem areas and I felt the reward after. Very easy to book services and more than accommodating when you need to reschedule. Also accommodated me earlier. Will definitely go again.

Greatness in business starts from top.The staff truly cares, that clients are swept away from the daily grind of life, once you step through the door. That is the way a Spa should make you feel.The superwoman that guides the staff has impeccable attention to detail. From the services provided, to the products for sale, every aspect is designed to exude luxury.I would recommend a particular service, but suggest you try them all!Just go!

Scheduling was easy! Customer service was superb! They made sure we were well taken care of even while we were waiting. I didnt feel pressured to buy their products, it was just an overall relaxing experience. I highly recommend it and definitely would love to come back!I get emailed deals to check out their services and I would definitely take advantage of it.

I took my mom here for a much needed day of relaxation. The atmosphere was serene. We both received manis and full body massages while there, and by the time we left we were both completely relaxed and my mom was already talking about her next visit to Qua. I have to say that I have had some of the best treatments at Qua! When Tru shut down in the Financial District, I followed my favorite staff over to Qua. Since then I have gotten facials from several estheticians, and their manicurists do great gel and nail art. I HIGHLY recommend Qua and their entire lovely staff!

My mom and I discovered this little but full on relaxation spot by total accident. I am so glad we did.It was quiet, personable and I felt very attended to without the service being over-solicitous. I am happy if they gain the accolades they should, but I know that comes with a waiting list. :)I 100% recommend this place absolutely!

This is my happy place! I live right next door and love to wander over and listen to some Radiohead with the girls while getting a mani/pedi. Their customer service is second-to-none and so is the quality of the services. My manicures last weeks when Sandy does them! I highly recommend Qua Spa!

I started coming to Qua when I lived next door at the Trinity building. And even after I moved, I still come for facials here and there. Staff are all super professional and down to earth, conversationalists if you want or will respect your down time.I like the products as well, and even though Im probably one of the few guys who come in, they dont make me feel like I dont belong in any way. (maybe they snicker when I leave.. je men fous (dont care :)Cool place, great value, great location and you can usually find parking just outside the door on Mission.

I visited QUA Spa while in town for the weekend.What a great way to start my vacation!Joshua was excellent, and very attentive to my needs.Highly recommend, and will make this the first visit on all future San Fran trips.

Going through the neighborhood when getting to this place has me questioning my choices but this is totally a hidden gem! Everyone was friendly and I had a great massage.

I would recommend Qua The Spa at Soma Grand...These ladies were kind to me and my siblings.They made us feel comfortable and most importantly the service was awesome..I left feeling rejuvenated and refresh.

Been there once, never go there again. Atmosphere inside is nice and calming music, yet professionalism is less what you expect. Comparing to alternatives in the city for the same price range, look for places near Japan Town, your welcome.

I try to come here every chance I get for the massages. They are excellent. You get all the relaxation and pampering without paying the ridiculously high prices at some of the spas in the city.

I used a gift card to get a much needed pre-natal massage at Qua a few monts ago- I had horrible lower back pain and was just very uncomfortablemy masseuse was very kind and attentive to all of my needs and even showed me some good stretches to do at home to help w the painwould reccomend!

Love this spa! Live right next store and always able to get an appointment when I need one. Love the gel manis bySandy. Also love Carmen for eyebrows!

The massage was very poor. The masseuse did not know the technique. I am sad to say this because the staff was very friendly. All in all, I’d never go back and wouldn’t recommend.
