Very nice venue. A large dance floor. Arrive early to get a table to rest after dancing especially if you are 60. I had a great time!
I went to Bimbos’s to see one of my favorite artists, Wallice perform when she was opening for JAWNY. I think it’s one of the best venues in the city, because it combines this old school field, with very new contemporary artists. The drink selection is a little limited, but the acoustics and the closeness you can get to the stage more than makes up for it. I would love to go back here and have a meal sometime, because it is such a cool venue. If you have a choice to see any show here, I would jump on it, because it’s one of the funkiest venues in San Francisco.
Bimbos is fantastic! Its such a small and intimate venue. The sound was great. The margaritas were excellent. It was lots of fun mingling with people. I would love to see more shows there.
Beautiful and atmospheric music venue. Has seated areas and a dance floor in front of the stage. Multiple bars in the space.
4.5 stars. Great venue, beautiful inside. the staff is chill. my only gripe is with the bartenders. they did nothing wrong, but they pour all their drinks as talls. the bartender tried to convince me that you get more alcohol that way. thats not how talls work. they are single pours in a tall glass, so you really are getting more mixer that way. if you want more alcohol you need double pours.
Bimbo’s 365 is one of those classic old places that I’m sure had rousing big band shows, but now has a man eclectic mix of artists. Lots of seating if you get there early, order a classic cocktail and relax or go join folks on the floor to dance the night away. Glad they are booking more shows again these days!
Bimbos in San Francisco is a truly gorgeous venue for enjoying live music. Tonight, we are excited to see Bebel Gilberto for the second time. The bar in the main room is absolutely incredible, reminiscent of what you might find at the Palm Royale. 🌴One of the highlights of Bimbos is the ladies lounge, where you will meet the most beautiful, spirited, and gracious woman named Tasha. She has everything you need to feel taken care of, just the way a woman should be. Walking into the lounge, you feel like a princess, and walking out, you feel like a queen.👑Five stars, class all the way!
One of the best music venues in the city. Great atmosphere and perfect size.
Great SF landmark! Been there numerous times for various venues. Still best place to catch Super Diamond!
After many years of passing by this venerable San Francisco nightclub, we finally made it in. What a great time we had. Their dance floor was quite large in comparison with other similar clubs. We loved that they had bars sprinkled throughout the venue. At the bar we chose to frequent most, we enjoyed the antics of a witty bartender who took great care of us all night. The only downside, drink prices were on the pricey side. That said, we still cant wait for our next visit back, cheers!
I hadnt been in 14 years and forgot how great this venue is. Plenty of space to dance or sit. They are really smart to strategically place bars around the venue. It could maybe use an update but it serves its purpose well. So glad that it is still around and going to look at going to more shows there.
Very nice venue with seating and a standing area in front of the stage. The sound system is great, with the levels during around 105db near the stage. I found street parking easily and there are restaurants and bars nearby for pre or post show activities. There is also a coat check and bar inside the venue.
Magnificent venue for entertainment, great dance floor, stage for bands, bars. Even has a cloak room.
Bimbo’s 365 Nightclub is very nice venue ! Securities were okay. Recommended People to go there.
Beautifully preserved venue circa the 60s??? Went to see rebirth brass band there with my NOLA homies and couldnt have asked for a better time. Only downside, cash only but there are two ATMs in the lobby. Eat before you come but if you dont, theres a simple menu that will hold you over e.g. burger, fries, pizza. Dont hesitate to come enjoy your favorite bands here!!!
Great intimate venue, great concert. Will definitely be back.
My first time there. Great venue for a concert. The sound was great and the band super diamond was awesome. He sounds just like Neil Diamond and I love him
Lovely venue, excellent staff. They were so accommodating for my medical needs.
Great venue. Went here for a Podcast show. Management is amazing. I thought I was overcharged. They were able to resolve the issue quickly with pulling up my card information and explaining exactly what I had ordered and when. Will def go back!
Truly terrible sound mix at this historic music venue tonight. We went to see Durand Jones, who Id enjoyed at The Independent more than once. Yet the mix at Bimbos was so insanely loud on bass that it obliterated the other ranges and was physically uncomfortable.
We had a wonderful time at one of round tables you see in old movies. Full disclosure: I was gifted drink 🍻 tickets. Dont stress looking for parking. The cable car and the 30 Stockton stop close by, and its on a bike route.
So sad one of the elderly bartenders told me you dont belong here when I just needed to use the bathroom. Funny thing we both were working for the same client. Being working in customer service since I was 15 and now that I am almost 40 years never treated another worker like that just because I didnt know what restroom to use. However, the event was successful and we all went home happy. See you for the next event Mr.....
One of this 25 yr SF residents favorite venues for live performances. Great drinks, not too large, friendly scene, nice stage and great sound system. And nestled in one of my favorite SF neighborhoods - North Beach so only 2 blocks from great restaurants and bars. I go there anytime I can.
We were part or a fashion show and the place was the best!!
Multiple reasons why Bimbos 365 is a special place to see music shows. First of all, its small. There is not a bad place in the room from which to see/hear the show. Sound is good. Seating...if you get there early enough to snag a seat at one of the tables at the sides and back of the room...when the main floor left for standing and dancing. Sometimes the entire floor is set up for seating. But ultimately its a small club with great sightlines and acoustics. Its also a bit of a throwback to traditional night clubs. You get that flavor almost as soon as you walk in. Tables with tablecloths certainly add to that vibe. And a bathroom attendant definitely recalls how it was back in the day. Finally, some great acts show up to perform at the club. Its a real treat to see a band or performer that you really enjoy in such an intimate setting. All in all, if you see a band you like scheduled to play...just go ahead and get the tickets!
Classic music venue with art to deco vibes
Hard to see performers if you happen to be seated in the bar area
Loved this place. Came to see a concert, really love the seating and floor set up. Drinks were good, and reasonably priced. Coat check attendant was great, and friendly. Bathroom attendant was awesome. Crackin jokes, hella friendly, and great service. If there’s a concert here, def come check it out.
Very dark but the place has a lot of history. Fun place to go
The venue is beautiful and the sound system is good. The drinks are TINY so go for the beer selection instead. I tried to pay in cash and was told we strongly prefer cards. I usually give 20-25% tip but after that remark, I did the minimum of 15%.
Love this joint! Been coming here since the 80s. If you want to sit at one of the tables you need to get there early. Beautiful room, but is there still a mermaid in the fish bowl? Didnt see her last time.
~This is a great venue to see shows, but some of the most petty power tripping individuals work the door here. It makes it really hard to want to spend my hard earned money to go see some entertainment whenever the doormen get off on power tripping. Pretty sad. Definitely not as cool as the other classic venues like the Great American Music Hall, The Fillmore, The Warfield, Slims, etc......... Lots of room for improvement.~
At the beginning of 2009, I was working in retail part time and was looking to supplement my income. I applied and the hiring process went rather smoothly. When it came to availability and scheduling, they were really flexible. During my time there, I got to see Peter Murphy and Robin Williams. The job itself was easy to learn. You are required to come early before the venue opens in order to complete table setup. I was responsible for taking food and beverage orders. The staff was a very close knit community and it was the only time in my career where I worked for a family run establishment. If you are a student or just starting out in your career, I highly recommend working here or at a similar place of business.
Location is suited only for events or private functions. Staff, from the doorman, coat check, bartender, servers and the bathroom attendant are very professional, friendly and accommodating. Highly endorse for concerts or private functions.
Overall this is a solid venue. its pretty small, intimate, and reasonably easy to get a drink if you want. the acoustics are really pretty solid throughout as far as i can tell too.only 1 star off because the front door staff can be a little curt and/or rude.
Went here for a concert for my first time. This place was snazzy and fun. They have a cool setup inside where there is a big dance floor with table that surround an outer perimeter of the dance floor (they dont get in the way).I would like to come back and have a table to watch a show and have a place to chill.Definitely worth checking out.
Its so fancy here and the staff are nice. I hot a good tequila sunrise and the bathrooms are so retro and cute. Literally requested to have my wedding here
Nice venue with an original 50s nightclub vibe. Staff were very pleasant. There is a bathroom attendant who you can tip a buck or not, but the good news is the bathrooms are clean and nobody is obviously shooting up or anything. Bypass the first bar you see and head right to the other bar, or there may be a satellite bar by the dance floor.
Great venue to see a show! Classy, clean, delicious food, fairly priced cocktails and drinks, and I only paid $30 to see an awesome artist named Jawny!
A group of us saw Tainted Love here and we had a great time. An outstanding venue for seeing any band. Its pretty much all standing room only and while the main room gets pretty packed it wasnt hard to get in and out when either the bar or the bathroom called. One thing Id recommend is going to the main bar for your drinks instead of the convenience of the mini-bars they have in the concert room. I couldnt taste the alcohol in my drink (I was about 2 or 3 in at that point) and it didnt burn going down the way I like it. In that aspect the mini-bar doesnt even compare to the rocket-fuel they serve at the main bar. Good job bartenders. Not sure if this is every night, but be sure to BRING CASH. They only accept cash at the bar, so no credit cards. They do have an ATM on premise, but given the fees they charge I think there is a good reason there is a sexual act with the same acronym...
This place is beautiful and in a ever changing SF its nice to see something that has remained relatively unchanged. I was here for a wedding and it created an intimate setting for 200 guests but as some has mentioned, it is pretty dark inside the main room but you get used to it. Staff was extremely friendly and the space is absolutely beautiful and Ill definitely have to come back for a show.
Are you kidding me?! Drink options are lame - terrible selection of beers. Server had no idea what cocktails to recommend. Pizza had the texture of cheese on cardboard. The club size is small and intimate and the acoustics are good. But it feels like the club is stuck in the 1980s. Time for an upgrade.
Always a good time! Great venue!
Old school style club, one of a kind type atmosphere, just past all the hub bub of North Beach and blocks from Fishermans Wharf, this place is iconic. Its been in business since the 30s, at this location since the 50s. It looks like a throw back, because it is all authentic, but well maintained with contemporary sound and lights. The produce a variety of line ups, so check their calendar for whats on. Ive gone to a lot of private parties, fundraisers, etc here and they are always fun, because of the cool atmosphere. Its a step back in time!
Sound was great. Security was super friendly. No more mermaid bums me out and all cash bar is idiotic. If you get there early enough to grab a table you can park your stuff, get table service for food and drinks and head to the stage when you feel called by the performance. Again, all cash? Food too. All cash. You have been warned.
Saw Petty Theft. Great show. Drinks a little pricey, but I enjoyed them. Go early score a table for warm up show, have your drinks, then hit the floor for the main event.
Cool venue. They had a ticket checking issue with no real solution. Just made people stand in line for an hour while they manually checked them off a list through the will call window. People walked up for that hour cutting in line with no real crowd control. Once in the staff was great and drinks strong. Nice big layout.
Saw Songhoy Blues there last Friday, Oct. 20. Old timey place with a large dance floor and attentive staff. Great sound quality for the musicians and great choice of opening act for the show! I would go again to see more entertainment there.Show ended close to midnight, local pizzerias nearby or sports bar if you want to continue your night!
So unassuming from the outside yet you step inside and its a flash back to the grand ballrooms of the 40s and 50s. This music venue is worth a trip to for a night of musical enjoyment!I came here to watch Foreverland, a 14 piece Michael Jackson Tribute band, and they packed the house out! It was a fantastic show at a lovely venue. The restroom attendant kept asking the ladies to not pee on the seats or the floor...sad that this had to be announced every 5 minutes. Their beer selection leaves something to be desired and they have no beer on draft. Hopefully in the near future they can expand their selection and/or add taps.
How can I not give this place a five? It was the location the location for the Chris Issacs TV show was modeled after. I have met so many good friends here. And made a few new ones. I have danced to so many great bands here. I have been to shows--like the Butch Wax and the Glass Packs--every year for a decade. It is such a unique environment. It feels like a supper club. I always expect good things to happen here, and they do. It is a part of San Francisco, and it feels like San Francisco inside and out.
I love how classy this venue is. Its like stepping into an old 50s movie. When I went to see Mayer Hawthorne, there was a 2 drink limit. Parking is a hassle in this area, so if youre coming to see a band or performer, be sure to come early.
Interesting setting. Saw a Foreverland show there. It was entertaining. Good acoustics, waitstaff can around throughout the show to take orders for more drinks. FYI, place is cash only.
One of a kind club, great venue for concerts, virtually no separation between stage and pit
The most recent time i went, the sound was poor. Too loud, poorly mixed. People werent dancing. I saw the same band in Oakland a few days earlier, the mix was good, people were dancing. I am ok with loud but if you dont have gear and mixing talent it turns to mush. Hope it is a one time thing. Vibe is cool as advertised.
Great art-deco style architecture from the 1930s, both inside and out. Upscale venu/supper club for live performances, weddings, events, etc. I live a block away and am always checking out the marque and posters for upcoming acts.
Went there for a local band show. The venue is a little dark (poorly lit) but besides trying to find your way in the dark it was a pleasant experience. They only accept cash at the bar you have to visit the atm located in the lobby if you havent come with cash. The drinks were a little on the strong side but I didnt mind more bang for your buck hehe!
Really nice old school decoration, as on my fathers days!Great acoustic and music, i enjoyed about 2 hours. The drinks are regular, but you cant have it all, do you?
So love this place so much energy and the band tainted love and metal street Boyz are awesome bands. Staff is super friendly have been going there and following those bands for years and will keep going
Funky old school space, ideal for boutique band shows and touring comedians. the food isnt great, but the space can definitely house a few hundred comfortably. if you can, check out the chefs table in the kitchen - it harkens back to a different world in sf.
I recently moved to San Francisco from Washington DC, I can honestly say that when I went to Bimbos was the first time I thought to myself Im home. Walking in the front door you travel back to a time when every thing was elegant and independent. From the decor of the venue, I thought for a second that I was going to see the Rat Pack, instead of Texas is the Reason. The bartenders were in shirt and tie, and the entire place was draped in red velvet drapes. Cash bar, sit down dinning options and a pretty large concert space. I hope to see many, many more shows here.
Like stepping out in old world San Francisco!
The comedy show comedians with prison records was pathetic! Sever was rude and impatient towards the end....the acts were not witty nor funny. The presentation was horrible! The Emcee was better than the acts. The performers/ comedians attire was insulting , not even with any efforts. Horrible. Even though my friend gave me the ticket, i felt cheated out of my time and the 2 beverages and the 1 order of over-fried chichen tenders that were flavorless and the hard breadding that made up half the severing was a mistake for $100. What a rip off!
Tiny bathroom means the line is always insanely long. Also has someone manning the bathroom at all times (at least in ladies room)-- expecting tips, creating additional congestion, adding little to no value. Also their coat check charges $3 yet does not hold purses. Outrageous lines at all bars in addition to at coat check and for bathroom. Layout really detracted from my ability to enjoy the show and I ended up leaving very early. Unfortunately I dont anticipate bimbos will change any of these things anytime soon.
A Well kept Vintage Venue for a true experience 👌🏾 For any occasion. Cute Outfits and Unique Chandeliers! A must see.
Very organized system to get people in. Clean and safe, kind and professional employees, and a great place to see acts! Still has its original vintage vibe which is awesome.
Bimbos is a class act all the way. I immediately fell in love with this bastion of vintage California charm from the 30s located in Russian Hill. Its landmark stage plays host to a variety of acts from post-hard-core bands to the legendary Sandra Bernhardt. The audience packs in for standing room on the floor, ringed by private booths on the sides, tables in the back, and another bar off to the side. Bimbos is a fantastic venue and destination and is a must-visit.
Great small venue, sound is always good, drinks are well made, love the bathroom attendants!
Been to a few great shows and I really like the venue. $9 bottles for a bottle of Anchor and $12 for well gin and tonic. Ill be crotching a flask next time.
This is my favorite concert venue in San Francisco, and I go to a lot of shows. Its like stepping back in time at this charming spot. Dont be deceived by the name or tacky looking exterior. GO!
Great venue, cool aesthetic, awesome bar. Saw LSDunes here and it was amazing
SF Classic!! Love to see shows at this Bimbos. Great staff! We saw Tainted Love. It was a grand evening.
Active, lively dance music with a fun crowd.
Really solid sound at every concert Ive attended here. Staff have always been wonderful too.
Love this club - great acoustics and it is a nice, manageable scale. With a main room and a chill-out lounge, you can pace yourself over the evening.
Cool building, good layout, great staff and drinks. Fun time.
Saw John Brothers Piano company and Re-Birth Brass band. Both great acts. Nice old 30s nightclub feel to the place.
Attended a friends wedding here many years ago. Fun location, spacious, and felt like a throwback to the early/mid-1900s. A great party location.
What a really cool venue to see live music... like walking back in time into a classic movie, loved that aspect. Only thing I didnt care for was cash only.. inconvenient and sketchy.
Bimbos 365 Club is an important part of San Francisco history.I love that it has been preserved and cared for by the next generation. They feature amazing acts throughout the year, and the space is also available for buyout for private parties. It would be a stellar location for a wedding reception as well. Some dear friends of ours hosted a party with proceeds benefitting St Judes for children. It was a wonderful evening.
A living time machine! This place feels like its been the life of the party for a century. Love the decor, great place to see a concert.
IT was nice, havent been there in so long. Remembering all Lowriders dances there.
Great, old school, classy vibe. Bands sound great. Easy to get around even with a full house. Definitely will be going back!
Never knew this place existed, went to go see Rob Bell on his book tour and was pleasantly surprised at the venue.
Great place to see a show sound is good atmospheres fantastic you wont be disappointed
Tamino happened here and the show was so magical! Totally recommend!
Ambiance is incredible. As soon as you enter nostalgia encompasses you. This place is a time portal a glimpse into nightlife long ago.
Great venue. Old fashioned was basic and the live sound was off, but beautiful location.
Great historic place to watch live music and hang out with friends.
Great location and sound! L’imperatrice after party was bonkerssss
Got invited here for Jamesons Bartender Ball, was a sick night.Jameson was flowing; they know how to show the love to Bartenders of SF.
Always have a great time here. Bring cash, no credit cards. The have a coat check and restroom attendants, very cool old school.
Small, clean, retro, modern, great sound, food drinks.
Venue opened on time as did the music. Had great service , just know its cash only! Definitely will be returning!
Old school dance club, great music & hopping environment!
Bartenders and cocktail servers are very nice and polite. Intimate setting for a show.
Private event that was well catered with awesome bar staff and great live band. Would go back!
Foreverland ALWAYS brings down the house...you just cant stay in your seat!!! Mark Edwards and the Band is a MUST see! Rock on....
As always, one of the best venues in SF (at least for Tainted Love!).
Loved the music experience but the food wasnt so great
Was shocked on how elegant it was but still cool enough to let you be yourself definitely would come back 👌🏾
Beautiful space and ambience. Like stepping back in time! Seen the most awesome cover act!! Fun times!!
Cool atmosphere. Awesome old design inside. Fun experience.
Fun small venue.Family owned and operated.

A great piece of history in North Beach. Old school atmosphere is a fun twist.
Really interesting place with old San Francisco charm. Great venue for meet ups and events and an interesting history.
We Sooooo enjoyed a recent performance at this Great club.
Awesome bartenders!Disappointed tho, that they dont require Covid Boosters, as proof of full vaccination!!
Amazing 50’s big-band era performance venue
Great place to see your favorite band. They even have a bathroom attendant.
Best music, best environment, best drinks. Come and dance with me!
What an amazing venue. Saw Henry Jamison here tonight -- incredibly talented!
Glamorous vintage club with awesome shows, great cocktails and food. A treasure!

Always love this club! Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and great sound.
Fun venue with great bartenders
Such a fantastic venue for music!
Best place in SF for private party. AND LIVE MUSIC WHEN THEY HAVE IT.
A san francisco classic. Great spot to see a show.
Very interesting venue. Multiple areas that all feel very different!
Nice retro vibe, but in a cool way - great acoustics as well
Nightclub with good shows. Helpful staff. Two drink minimum.
Classic place... one of the best concert venues in the City.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite places, let alone music venues, in San Francisco
Nice nice nice place for shows and a drink.
Good place for events. Ample of space for at least 500 people I believe.
Great place to see a show
Nice place for our holiday party, not sure what its like during the day
Saw lovejoy here. the staff are very kind.
Alittle pricey for beer. Other than that laid back classy joint.
A lovely place. The staff is so friendly.
Sound quality was pretty poor. Atmosphere is nice though.
First time at this place and I had fun! Will definitely go back.
Saw heaven 17 here superb venue
Pretty cool venue. Love the décor.
