The place has a 2 drink minimum for the privilege of playing their $2 a game pool table. The drinks were super expensive but I guess thats to pay for the free video games they offer. I think this place is a good idea, but they dont have to price gouge the people. I dont think well be going back. There was a small bowling alley downstairs also.

My wife and I just moved here and were looking for new places to explore. We stopped by after getting pizza next door. Came in on a slow Thursday night. Miles was our bar tender and we absolutely loved him. We told him what we liked and asked him to make us something amazing. And he did. The whole staff was fun, laid back, having fun together. I will definitely be returning!

Best place for watching football. Their outdoor patio has amazing vibes. Waiting staff is very courteous and helpful but food orders do get delayed as the place tends to get overcrowded.

Dont go here! Security will kick you out even though your group didnt start the fight. And security dont do their job. The environment sucks, over hyped, and crowded. Hot as hell and drinks are over priced. Just go to 5 points or The Britt next door. I gave the service 0 stars.

I had a semi-private event here for after my wedding with family and friends and the service was fantastic and the snack food yummy. I really appreciated the staff was willing to box leftovers for us since wed overestimated how hungry people (wouldnt) be. :)It was the perfect vibe and lovely way to end our wedding celebration, thank you guys!!!

Smells like absolute garbage. Seriously, like someone was spreading their fecal matter after all over the walls. The drinks were water, the service was horrible, and why are there three security guards for a bar. Hate the vibe. DO NOT go here if you value anything. Would only recommend to my worst enemy.

The bartender was nice and made our drinks immediately. We put our name in for bowling and were told 20-30 minutes. An hour later I went to see the bowling attendant and they disregarded the paper we signed and had been rotating other people ahead of us. We were told another 20-30 minutes. The food was ordered when we got here and an hour later, no food still. Told there was a “mistake in the kitchen.” So far not a good experience and not sure we’re coming back.

Nice place to hangout after work or even a night out with friends. I love that they have a DJ, few games to play & a bowling alley. They have 2 bars, food & plenty of seating space. I think you can also host a party. Its a great addition to the San Jose nightlife. Will be back.

Its Downtown San Jose. Theres not a lot of places where you can feel truly comfortable while eating, drinking, and having a good time. San Pedro Social is the exception to the rule. This is the most fun, relaxing, and enticing place to spend those weekend nights. If youre looking for a fun atmosphere during the week, then this is also the place.I do miss the AFK Gaming Lounge that used to be this place, but, from a social stand point, San Pedro Social blows AFK out of the water.Ill be coming back here for sure.

Made a bowling reservation for a Sunday afternoon for our teens’ birthdays. The place was nearly empty upstairs, we were helped downstairs to the bowling area. Someone helped us get our shoes and then he disappeared. There were zero ppl working downstairs. If we’d needed to exchange shoes or have an issue with the bowling we would have had to walk all the way upstairs to the other side of the building to find someone to help us. We saw a server walk by only once or twice while we were there. We’d wanted to order food but there was literally no one around. It was a huge bummer and we ended up only staying for one round of bowling.Also, the bowling set up was really not well thought out. There’s no seating besides one long bench along a brick wall next to bar height tables. The pathway for people to walk through is between the bowling and the seating so there were constantly people walking through.

Played 2 games with my husband, didn’t realize that we were going to be the only people bowling since we came right at 5pm on Friday :) Friendly personnel and well maintained environment - we loved it!

Stopped in before the Sharks game. So glad. The loaded fries were to die for. Pickled onions and spicy sour cream were soooo good. Amazing assortment of IPA and other beers. Danielle our server was amazing. She is top notch. Highly recommend

For a company gathering to a night on the town, San Pedro Social is the spot. From food made fresh to dj music on the weekend and bowling all in one spot. A new atmosphere vibe in the heart of San Pedro square. Highly Recommended.

Good for group gatherings whether indoors or outdoors. They have a basement space for activities.Adrea who served our group was absolutely great. Sadly, they were out on most drinks and that was a disappointment.

Great Place. They have everything i.e., Food, drinks & multiple games. Friendly staff too. Went there for a 49ers watch party, definitely a good place to watch the game.

Pretty good pizza but I would not ever go here for drinks, ordered 1 amf and it only came with 1 shot of well liquor in total, amf should have atleast 3 shots of liquor at minimum. Really bad environment too it’s so crowded for overpriced drinks, also easy amf was almost $20 for not even an amf… would not recommend. Better off at any other bar in downtown

Recently were here for a private event in the basement. The bowling lanes kept malfunctioning which led to not being able to continue games. The bar staff downstairs were not very kind, communicative or efficient.

We went here for a Christmas party for my work and rented the karaoke room. So much fun. The basement which is where the karaoke room is located, with 3 full lanes of bowling, a small arcade and a bar on the 1st floor. The only thing I would say they had another bar on the basement level and would have been nice if a staff member was their to make getting drinks easier. Would definitely come back and have already recommended to people I meet for a fun night out.

We have been waiting and waiting for this place to open and we were not disappointed. The staff is amazing and was so great at answering every question we had. It is still in a soft opening but the food was great and the drinks were wonderful. It also has a really nice beer selection. Also having bowling downtown is going to be really fun. My favorite, a mechanical Pong game that it is not to be missed. Come and play with them you will love it.

Really just a great run place in San Jose! Good security and a very helpful staff. I kinda of feel like its ran like San Pedro Square. Anyway my hats off to the San Pedro Social my new go to place in San Jose!!

Super fun. A bit noisy when crowded. Had a work event here and stuffed our faces. Good stuff.

Fun place to kick it, drink, and dance. Drinks are good, and the dj plays a good mix of music. They dont have a lot of the games anymore, but they do have basketball, shuffle board, and bowling free. I havent gone downstairs yet, but it looks just as popping as upstairs. Can get busy around the bar, but the downstairs bar is way less busy. Its definitely worth stopping in and hanging out.

Bartenders discriminate need I say more. Pathetically rude experience. Never coming back again. Revenue gap upwards of 10k over customer lifetime.

Went in today to try a new place to have drinks and relax. The bartender was very nice and very Profesional. I asked the bartender for a pint of 805 blonde ipa and a long island ice tea. He told me the price was 27.70!!!!!! I told him im not paying almost 28 dollars for a pint of beer and a basic cocktail. My wife and i walked out, we went down the street and paid less than half for the same drinks. Will not be back.

Went right after work there was a very few people there. Hostess and downstairs server were very attentive. I had the Chipotle Chicken Bowl which was a good size. Nicely marinated chicken, warm rice, avocado and tomatoes. I don’t really like tomatoes but they tasted yummy in that bowl. Added a cold crisp cider to drink.I will definitely go back soon to taste more of the yummy food.

Every time I have come to San Pedro Social I have thoroughly enjoyed my time! The staff is very welcoming and attentive and the menu is great as there are many different dishes to choose from. There are a variety of activities including - bowling, karaoke, arcade games, table games and an outdoor patio - perfect place to go downtown with a group of friends and have a great time. Will definitely be coming back more often and recommending to others!

San Pedro square is a good place to enjoy and have fun. the bars/clubs I went to had good music and food to enjoy.

Very rude security guards. They wanted to pat me like I am criminal or something! Why?! Because I am middle eastern?! It is a freaking bar man, not the white house! I just wanted to have a drink with gf and our friend. Ruined our mood for no reason. What type of business is this?! Even for whatever stupid reason you think you need 3 security gurds for the stupid bar and have to pat people, at least be respectful! They just started yelling at me for no reason! They just wanted to bully a middle eastern guy and humilate him in front of others, I guess!

Lots of fun to be had here,,especially with all the free play games and bowling. 2 separate fully stocked bars and a great sound system. Outdoor patio is clean and the beer pong tables and corn hole games are an added touch

Food was overcooked, fries were swimming in salt, drinks were mediocre, server was standing looking at his phone the whole time and only came over once to check on us. We had to flag another server to assist us.

Was soo excited for this place. It has potential, but kind of disappointing. Casual place to meet friends, but not that many games to play. The drinks are ok, and they’ve run out of ingredients on a few occasions. From my experience, there are long waits for drinks and bartenders are not the friendliest - don’t address you/seemingly ignore you and wouldn’t provide a cup of water after buying multiple drinks. And I don’t find the listed store hours to be reliable. A few times we’ve been turned away because they decided to close early and not let more people in.

What a fun bar, they have bowling alley, karaoke box, other games too. Cocktails was great

Went on Friday evening, wasnt too crowded. DJ was good. Let them know at the entrance if you need a place to sit down or you will find open places away from dance floor.

Food here is pretty generic like any other American bar. Retro aesthetic is decent but tacky in most areas. The bowling lanes are in the middle of the bottom floor and are only three lanes that are big enough to probably fit 10 people max. Bowling wouldn’t work if this place was fully crowded. Arcade games are out of date and some of the machines do not work.

The place is very disorganized. Many of the attractions and games were in disrepair and the bowling alley was a 3 hour wait. The one staff handling front was nice for the most part but we got asked multiple time by staff, including the front of house who saw us walk in, if we were 21 after getting carder at the door the bouncer. Very annoying, give this place a couple months to shape up before coming for it to be worth it.

Love this place! Perfect place to meet up with friends, or bring the family for some fun earlier in the evening. Seems like a great spot too for a party or work event. Food is delicious! Perfect onion rings. I had the ahi bowl which came with a huge helping of tuna. The nacho fries are also yummm. Definitely try the spiked popcorn. Look forward to going back!

I came here tonight, and when they checked my bag, they found pepper spray. They instructed me to put it in a corner next to the door (no cabinet nor ticket, just on the floor). They said I will get it back at the end of the night. When I was heading out, they couldn’t find my pepper spray and ultimately said they weren’t liable. However, I wasn’t told that. The main security guard said they can’t do anything. Very irresponsible and no accountability. What’s the point of having like 6 security guards if you can’t take care of your customers possessions?

Good bar, nice beer selection and quality well. Some fun games. Know before you go their bowling is rope pins rather than a real alley so it is kinda janky

Theyve done a great job with the place! Bowling, karaoke, arcade games, and a solid beer list too. All the staff were excited to be there, and really friendly. Absolutely somewhere I look forward to grabbing a few beers and hanging out with friends.

Chill place for food and drinks, i believe there is a DJ Thursdays to Sundays, bowling and additional bar downstairs...only negetive thing is, security gave me a hassle multiple times about me wearing my own bowling shoes saying they werent allowed cause they could scratch the floors 🤔. Never run into issues wearing them to other bowling alleys considering they are regulation BOWLING SHOES. am I missing something? Idk, still had fun though.

Ive never had to be patted down before to go bowling? That being said fun vibe and good arcade games. Bowling is a little goofy though If you are going just for bowling

Really bummed. Cancelled our reservation for bowling in front of our faces and booked other people while we were trying to understand what was going on. Uncomfortable for everyone involved- except the girl at the desk, who was spiteful and smug. Again, really disappointed

The games are fun but stick with beer. I ordered a Negroni and a martini, both were watery and weird. I pointed out that the Negroni was a little off and asked about the gin (tasted like it mighta been subbed with dish water) and the bartender explained to me that you can’t complain about the gin in a Negroni because the Campari masks the taste.

The bowling experience was terrible. The guy taking care of it said that there was no time limit and then 30’ in and our lane stopped automatically. After complaining, he extended our time for another 30’, but we lost the numbers of the first game and couldn’t finish the second. So in the end we couldn’t finish a full game as sold. Very disappointing. Watch out for these guys

Food here needs some SERIOUS improvement if they’re going to charge what they’re asking.Chicken wings were small and sad. Tenders were bland and sauces didn’t help much.Not sure what they plan on adding but as of now there isn’t much entertainment for how large the place is.- one pool table- few arcade games- few lanes of bowling- 1 karoke room

Reservation canceled for showing up 2minutes after our 10minute window. Lanes were given to people who walked in as we were talking to the bowling ally staff. Unfriendly, night ruined, thumbs down.

It could have been a cool place, but they dont honor reservations, honestly if you are planning to do something with friends go elsewhere.

Absolute worst service. Waited 30 minutes for drinks when in the karaoke spot. Bartender couldn’t even understand the flow of people waiting at the bar for drinks. You’re timed in the karaoke room so just highly disappointing

Great place for company events. Located in San Pedro square and great for companies located in downtown.

Lyftd to this venue at 9 PM only to be turned away with the doorman not allowing entry even when closing time is 10 PM. With todays technology they should have given the heads up on social media.

Do not go here for bowling. Contradictory reservation policy along with a dishonest, unfriendly, and borderline spiteful bowling staff. Ruined a special occasion. Take your business elsewhere.
