I had a lovely facial today! It’s been a while since I have had one because my skin can be very sensitive, but no fear, I came out of this facial feeling like my skin was on a new level of moisturized and happy! The setting is extremely relaxing and I recommend this to anyone who needs a self care moment.

This space is cozy, clean and inviting. MJ is so warm and friendly. She takes time to really listen to your concerns, and addresses them in the session and follows up afterwards as needed. She uses clean products, no additional ingredients, fragrances, or dyes. She doesn’t try to sell you on products, but often times has given me a small take out container of a product for additional support.I have incredibly sensitive skin and have only left feeling glowing and rejuvenated. Absolutely recommend to anyone.

I’ve had several facial services with Tula, an apprentice here, and feel like she takes her time to answer my questions and give a very relaxing massage. I’m somewhat lazy about my at home skincare regime and have felt more motivated to take care of my skin since coming here. Thank you Tula!

I have nothing but good things to say about Pure Skin Spa. I have had 4 treatments so far with Mary Jo, and I always leave happy and satisfied. I am starting to notice a positive change in my skin as well, which makes me feel great! Mary Jo does a great job at listening to your concerns and goals and helps you get there! All the products that are used feel great and my skin feels AMAZING each time I leave. The spa itself if beautiful and calming/soothing. I always look forward to my facials and I couldnt recommend it more to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating facial experience. No matter what you seek, or which facial you choose, you will leave satisfied and happy with the service provided.

I’ve been going to her since 2013! The sugaring experiences are amazing and it doesn’t hurt that much. Mary Jo definitely took good care of me. I am very happy to see her start her own business, Pure Skin Spa. It is a lovely cozy spa. The ambiance is very relaxing. She gave me a wonderful hour-long pure skin facial! She also helped me extract some pimples and gave me an amazing massage on my shoulders and arms. My skin felt so good, smooth and rejuvenated:)

I had such a wonderful experience here at Pure Skin!! The atmosphere is peaceful and loving, right when you get into the room you are welcomed with the most amazing view of the private courtyard. This touch of nature in the middle of beautiful Wallingford neighborhood is something I have yet to find. Marry Jo brings a loving energy into every interaction, just her voice alone is soothing to give you a top-tier experience. She asked what concerns I had with my skin to ensure the best course of action was needed for the products she used. I left with clean skin I can feel and a relaxing energy too, I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. I have found the best spa in all of Seattle!!

Facial was great. However we booked and paid for a 45 min facial with an apprentice and it was 37 minutes.

I just had a facial and sauna this morning and wow, what a great experience! I felt so welcomed and was never rushed which helped me to fully relax. I left with glowing skin and a sense of peace and calm. Will definitely be back!

I found Mary Jo and the Pure Skin Spa while looking for facials for my two teenage sons. Mary Jo took beautiful care with them during back to back facials and shared healthy skin care habits which they are now using. They enjoyed themselves and are willing to return for additional facials- high praise from some initially reluctant spa goers. 🙂 This writer is very happy to get expert support for their teenage skin. Thank you Mary Jo!-Returned again for repeat facials for teenage sons- 3 months elapsed since first post. Mary Jo remains awesome- so thorough, gentle, calm, and skilled. Had my first microcurrent facial today and it was lovely! I’ve often had a facial and left with very red and irritated skin. Not the case here - my skin felt rejuvenated and hydrated. She was super helpful in recommending what would work best for my skin. Can’t wait to go back!

I LOVE this spa so much that even though I have moved out of the city of Seattle I still make the drive to the spa for my appointments— it’s THAT AMAZING.I have tried multiple services at this spa: sugaring, lash tinting, and facials. The owner, Mary Jo, is the best she genuinely cares so much about each customer’s individual skin concerns.I regularly come in for multiple services but my favorite one is the age defying micro current facial. I have noticed a big difference in my skin’s texture and radiance. By getting regular facials I no longer feel the need to wear foundation and people are constantly complimenting my skin! Mary Jo will work with you to customize your facial depending on your concerns— which I love! She is always putting her customer’s needs as the #1 priority.I could go on forever raving about this spa so do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment! You and your skin will be glad you did :)

I visited Pure Skin Spa for my birthday, for a signature facial, and eyebrow tinting, and a massage. This was my first time getting a facial, and Mary Jo was wonderful. She explained anything I asked about, created a warm, welcoming environment (especially lovely in the cold, rainy winter!), and even comped me 20 minutes in the infrared sauna for my birthday (SO relaxing, highly recommend!). Ive been suffering from maskne like many people, and also had some concerns about clogged sebaceous filaments and bumpy texture in my t-zone. After the facial, my skin has been noticeably clearer and it has been easier to maintain the complexion I want. Also, Mary Jo did not try and upsell me on anything, which as a budget-strapped person I always count as a major win. Overall, I will definitely be back.

Mary Jo & her work at Pure Skin Spa is the BEST! Kind, compassionate, gentle, peaceful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy - the list could go on and on. Mary Jos recommendations absolutely changed my skin in the best way. Cystic acne, be gone! Psoriasis, maintained! Her products are always gentle on my very sensitive skin and she gives the best tips for at home care. Did I mention, her space is so relaxing and comforting you could fall asleep?

I’ve now been going to Pure Skin Spa for about a year. I have enjoyed every single visit with Mary Jo. She makes it so that the facials are way more of an experience. There’s just a way that she makes you feel calm, relaxed, and welcome that make the spa services so much more enjoyable. The products that she uses feel and smell really great too.

Mary Jo is so lovely and is such a professional! I highly recommend her and Pure Skin Spa. Mary Jo has created the most relaxing and magical ambiance! The two main rooms have nearly a full wall of window facing a private garden.She is my number one esthetician and there are facials, reiki massage, and infrared sauna, which I love to get cozy in after a treatment.Bonus there are beautiful pieces of artwork and gifts from Seattle artisans. This local woman owned business is a luxurious hidden gem.

I’ve been coming here since I made it to seattle in September for work and ever since I’ve stepped foot into this establishment I felt as if I was home. Mary Jo embodies great energy; she’s a wonderful person and the environment is very calm. Since I’ve been coming I’ve noticed my face has been a lot more radiant and even toned. Ive been going to Mary Jo for years and love how I look after an appointment. I love getting my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted and feel younger and happier every time. Mary Jo gets the color just right and will go as natural or tidy as I like. Would highly recommend!

I have gone to lots of spas and salons to get my eyebrows done (including InSpa, Gene Juarez, and Penelope and the Beauty Bar), and Pure Skin Spa is by far my absolute favorite and the only place I will go from now on. Its a small, cute locally owned business. Mary Jo (the owner and esthetician) is the only person allowed to touch my eyebrows! Ive been going to her for 2-3 years now, and followed her when she opened this new business. I have naturally red hair and bleach blond brows. It is so hard to find brow dyes/products that match my hair color - most are too cool or too warm. Mary Jo custom mixes her dyes to find the perfect recipe for me! And if I want to go a little darker or a little warmer after I see the final product, she will always go over them again at no extra cost. After my brows are are dyed, they look so good that I dont need to use any other makeup on them, and they last for around 8 weeks. I have also gone to her for underarm and bikini waxes, and they always turn out great. All the prices are more than reasonable, I never feel like Ive been over-charged. She is kind, thorough, and professional. She is also great at making chit-chat but doesnt force you into making conversation if you just want to relax with some peace and quiet. She never leaves you waiting for more than a couple of minutes, and she will always try to accommodate you when scheduling an appointment. The spa is in a convenient location in Wallingford, inside it is quite and relaxing, and it smells good. Personally, I will never go to another spa again and I am screwed if she ever moves out of town. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

Ive been going to Mary Jo since 2012 when she was at Dandelion Salon, and now at her own business Pure Skin Spa. Her waxing skills are excellent and she always makes my brows look polished and defined (among other waxed areas :)).Ive had facial treatments which leave my skin soft and glowing and feeling great! I trust her so much that my young teen now goes to her for brow waxing and teen facials.If youre looking for a great esthetician, then look no further than Pure Skin Spa.*Added bonus is that its right across the street from Little Big Burger & Musashi Sushi, and a block from Molly Moons - so you can make it a whole day of it in Wallingford!

Quality service and care. I started a series of facials I do with MJ when my skin is getting dull during the fall and I feel radiant after just the first facial (its something I try to do annually). The age defying facial is awesome. I really look foward to doing the series every 2 weeks over the winter. It already has really made a difference in the texture of my skin. I also really love her products. She introduced me to Sanitas a serum for dry skin and I seriously think this is the best moisturizer I have ever used. FInally after shopping around and frankly spending alot of money on products that I have been so-so about this serum is magical.

Went here at the recommendation of a neighbor, and had the best experience for an hour-long facial. SO relaxing, and they listened to all my skin concerns and customized the facial accordingly. Learned so much during my appointment too!

Mary Jo was the absolute best. Her demeanor and treatments were therapeutic and calming. I would recommend this place to anyone even if they already have great skin.

Poor customer service. Showed up early and waited until appointment time. followed directions to ring the door bell to be let in and no one showed up or answered the phone the 3 times I called. Disappointed.
