Amazing gay bar where you can meet bears and daddies, which I have been ogling the entire time with friends ;)Didnt have any food there so I cant really rate. Had my first ever shot of whiskey here and I can say that my first time drinking whiskey will forever be remembered at a gay bar in Seattle. Of course straight men, proceed with caution because youll either be discriminated or kicked out unfortunately. Otherwise, give this bar a shot! Totally worth it!

Stumbled into this bear bar last night for drinks with some friends after dinner. No complaints here. Drinks are strong and decently priced, staff were super nice, and everyone was friendly.

Miguel is the BEST BARTENDER EVER!!! hes on point and friendly... ask for him when in town.

Let’s start by saying I’m straight. Went in to this establishment with my wife and our gay friends since we were in the area. I’ve never been to a gay bar, but was excited to give it a go with our friends. Let’s just say I’ve never felt so discriminated against in my life, as someone who fully supports the scene and thinks anyone should be able to live life however they want… it was quite disturbing to be looked and and treated the way we were in here. The bartender was super rude and didn’t seem thrilled to be helping the straight couple. We ordered very simple whiskey sours, our drink was literally whiskey and water. So gross. Just a gross energy too honestly.Def won’t be back here, but looking forward to trying out some of the other spots in the area. I will tell people to try anywhere but here and personally look forward to trying out some of the other places in the area with our friends.

Welcoming vibe. Strong drinks. Top-tier bar food (their nachos are the best on the hill).

Seattle’s Bear Bar. From Taco Tuesday to 3rd Thursday Leather Night, this is one of the great classic gay bars in the country. Strong drinks, dark corners, friendly staff and patrons, and no gimmicks. A true treasure.

First, we love coming to Diesel. Affordable stiff drinks, hot guys. What else could I ask for? Well, as I stand around and look at the bar, I wonder about the images on the wall. Beautiful hot guys, wallpapered on the wall. Feels great until I noticed that there isnt one image showing the beautiful bears of color there. As I looked through the patrons on Friday, it was mostly white guys. I wonder if bears of color feel welcome at Diesel. Sad. I wonder if this is a missed chance for revenue.

When I first started going to Diesel, I wasnt sure what to think. Im not massively active in the Seattle scene and to me Diesel was just another bar. I was so wrong, Diesel is home away from home when I come to Seattle. Everyone at the bar from Mac (The door guy) to Mike (The owner) has been so friendly and kind. The have tried to make Diesel so welcoming and it shows every time I visit.Please stop by Diesel! Yes, its A bear bar, but everyone is welcome! The drinks are strong, music is good, and atmosphere is perfect!

Among my favorite Seattle gay bars. The staff is friendly. The food is great. They offer many excellent drink options. The event nights are fun. Love Diesel! I highly recommend.

Loved this place. Tons of bears packed closely together and good drinks. I came on taco Tuesday with a friend of a friend as I was visiting from out of town. I was probably one of the youngest guys there but I felt right at home. Everyone was super friendly and the bartenders were very efficient. Overall it was a great experience. Diesel is definitely a gem here in Seattle .

Diesel is where you go to start the night for sure. The drinks are STRONG and affordable. Crowd leans bear and leather with all the affordances and limitations of that scene.

My favorite bar in Seattle. Mark and his husband have created a great space with no attitude. Everyone is welcome and they make every patron feel like theyre the only one in the bar. If youre in Seattle, this is a must see bar. Dont miss the hot men and great drinks!

Diesel is by far my favorite bar in Seattle. Not only is it primarily a bear bar, but the drinks are amazing. They don’t skimp on them at all! The food is also great! The staff is wonderful, fast, and friendly! Always come here when I come to Seattle! 🐻

Fun and inviting gay bar! Love the chill atmosphere where every customer is treated like a friend. I’ve been here a couple times and each time it’s been a good experience. It’s definitely grungey and the drinks and food are okay, but what really makes this bar for me is the service!

It’s a great establishment, but as fun and welcoming as it is, it’s also sort of the Great White Middle Aged Hope of gay bars. They will not show anybody Black on the tv monitors. Seattle is, what 15% Asian? You won’t see one on the tv screen at Diesel… ever.I understand the logic behind leveraging the propaganda superstructure to expand the scope of white beauty standards toward applying to ageism and body positivity. And I’m here to tell you the print and digital media at Diesel certainly do their part. I’m also here to tell you the rest of us exist, here… currently.

Weirdly rude bartenders. Its not crowded. Be friendlier? Like I would have stayed longer and spent more money if the bartender didnt insist on clearing the service area when literally no one was there lol.

I walked in on a rainy Friday night and everything inside was very cold right from someone who was checking IDs to the music they played. Bartender actually was kind enough to smile at me while served a drink. I Am wondering if it is an overrated bar with 4.5 stars.

Full disclosure: Im friends with the owners.That said, this is a great local bar with stiff drinks and surprisingly good food. There is no dance floor, one (obligatory) video poker machine, no dart machines; and one pool table that is better (and more often) used as a buffet for the numerous celebrations each month. Its like a gay version of Cheers.

A manly gay mens bar with big hairy hugs for men, women, and everyone in between. Low on attitude unless its comedy, tall drinks, and you can actually talk here because the music isnt crazy loud. And its rock n roll.

First time in a gay bar in Seattle. Very comfy and fun. Everyone here was awesome from bartender, who didnt tell me how strong his long island iced teas were, to the patrons.

Have been to Diesel a couple of times and have always found the experience to be incredible. The environment is very friendly and welcoming to all. The owners and staff are great. They couldnt be better.If you havent visited Diesel as of this point, nows the time. Trust me, youll enjoy the environment, the people, as well as the drinks and music. Its time to go!

Ate dinner in Diesel but it was terrible... A group of 5, made an order for 5 of us , waited for more than an hour. Got food for only 4 of us. Waiter said he didnt order food for the 5th person... So after a while we got remaining food when everyone else already finished. But food was terrible anyways. Burger was raw and wet. Do not recommend this place.

Excellent bar with excellent food owned by excellent people. Deisel has a very laid-back atmosphere and has been amazing during Covid, making sure every patron feel safe and taken care of!

No pool table. Just remember people who drink alot are willing pay any price when drunk. They put a giant bar in the middle and wasted space because there’s one 3 feet away from other one.

Stopped in here about a week ago with my partner, talk about a friendly bartender and on point with his smile and service. It was our first time being in the establishment and we felt very welcomed.

The rudest bar I have ever gone to. Ordered a drink and then they refused to let me drink it. The most appalling Customer service I have ever had across the country. Vile staff

What a nice bar. I like that the attendees are adults and with diverse ages and bodies. I think it is an ideal place to meet someone older. Im not sure what kind of bar it is, but it looks like a bear bar.
