I was in need of a massage and I reluctantly chose this Massage Envy due to a bad experience and quit honestly think they over charge for mediocre service. They are super convenient to where I live so I decided to try after some years of not going. I was not told about a cancelation fee when I booked... I booked and then realized that I double booked myself, I had a wax appointment that I booked a while back so I called to reschedule. they didnt have anything so I canceled. Then is the only time I was told about the fee. I understood and was ok with it because things happen right. they forgot no biggie. She told me it would be a 50% charge. Well that was wrong and I was charged the full amount of the massage. I called and the employee said let me look into this.. obviously didnt know the procedure either..Thats when I was told no you are charge at 100%. no resolution was offered.. I decided not to re-book because of the poor customer service, not given the right info, and lack of concern. being penalized doesnt sit well with me. Im even more upset because my job pays for a once per month massage so I thought getting in the program would be great since its basically free for me and I live close but I would rather drive further for a better experience than this. Hopefully they do better with other potential customers.
I have always had a pleasant experience at this location. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Relaxing atmosphere with hours that fit my schedule.8/21 update: reducing my rating due to increased pricing and lack of availability. More than anything it is just impossible to make an appointment here. Tried to make one last week and the first available one is 2 months out. You accrue credits faster than you can use them because there are no available openings. The massage therapists are great, but the location is poorly run. I will likely be canceling my membership here since I cant actually get in for massages.1/22 update: no availability at all for 2 months out. Was told my cancelation will take 10 days to process, which means my next payment will go through in that time. I have 60 days to use the credit but since there are no available slots it is impossible to use them. Cancelation took multiple phone calls and emails. Again the therapists themselves are great, but the management is terrible. You are not even allowed to book more than one appt a month (except last minute cancelations). Facial here are not great so not a good way to use your credits either. Do not waste your money here.
Great therapist, and clean environment. However Im disappointed by the poor and shady practices. I have a membership with them and was able to book online with my accured credit. A month after the session I got a call from them asking me to pay extra fees because they have a different price to my home membership location.Why didnt the booking system show this upfront? Why not tell me about the extra charges when I was at the venue? Literally the dodgiest business practice.
Update- Followed up after a reply to this review and got no response from management, this place has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.I made an appointment online, but then called in to change the appointment to another day, the receptionist gave me a new time and indicated there was no problem, two days later I got a charge on my credit card for $30 without explanation. Was also overcharged $25 for my appointment. Massage was subpar and didn’t even go the full hour, massage therapist also made some awkward comments while working on me, making it very hard to relax. I was also told that a manager would follow up with me about the $30 charge, no one called to follow up. So I essentially paid $130 for a $75 massage that wasn’t really enjoyable. Overall terrible experience and a waste of time and money.
The place is booked out WEEKS in advance with no availability. I received a gift card for a massage to this place and have found it IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment that works. So unless you want to schedule an appoint 3-4 weeks in advance go somewhere else. I would love to review how great my massage was, but since I cant seem to get an appointment for the life of me, I cant.
I signed up for a 6 month membership after talking to the front desk about my concern with turn over. Within a few months, the therapist I liked decided to leave. I scheduled with other therapists going forward. There was one therapist I really liked but her schedule was almost impossible to find availability with. I still continued to with my membership, trying to find a good fit. I had mentioned my concerns to the front desk a couple of weeks ago with the last therapist I had. My last appointment was January 16th (writing this review on 2/4) and my last appointment before that was on 12/23/19 . The woman I had told she had a cold and was not able to talk to me. I did not report the fact she had a cold but it made me very uncomfortable to say the least. I like to be able to talk with my therapist during my session. About a week after my session, I get a survey via email to fill out. I fill it giving honest feedback, some of which being negative. Today, I receive a message saying that some of the therapists are uncomfortable with my topics of discussions. I find it interesting that this feedback comes recently after I submitted my own negative feedback. I didnt talk to my therapist on 1/16 because she claimed to have a cold. So if they had a problem with my topic of conversation on 12/23 with that therapist, why on earth would I not hear about it for over 2 months?Anyways, hopefully my review is helpful to someone. I am glad to no longer be a member of this establishment. I would recommend La Vida massage, they are much nicer and the therapists have better availability.
My experience with massage envy has been terrible. With the exception of 1 time, I was never able to book a time the worked for me. The only times available (unless you booked 2 weeks out) were during the day. Because everyone can take the day off for a massage right?How you can charge a monthly fee for a service you cant even provide is beyond me. I went to a much smaller business and had no problems.I would not recommend Massage Envy to anyone. If you are going to increase business by selling a service, bump up staffing.
My first experience at Massage Envy was great!The front desk staff was extremely helpful, Vicki was a great therapist (she did a great job working out problem areas and was professional, friendly, & fun), and the clinic has a wonderfully relaxing feel.Ill definitely be back!
Always a great facial here as both estheticians are wonderful. After 5 years, have not yet found a massage therapist that I want to see again. The 2 that were real professionals are no longer there. Sad.
This particular location is incredible in all areas. As far as customer service and being flexible (no pun intended), I have never had better. Finding the right place for a massage for a fair price is no easy task. Additionally, the location and availability for a 9-5 person is outstanding. This location and the people in it have my full confidence and the term highly recommended does not do this justice.
Great staff and good massage. There have been a few times I had to cancel or reschedule and everyone was helpful and understanding. Facility is clean and therapists are timely and considerate.
Nice, mellow front desk, great environment ~ I have had a variety of therapists and all seem happy with the owners and do great work ! I highly recommend Alyssa for a comforting massage, Elena if you want good deep tissue and Sheryl for lymphatic massage and Fantastic head and face massage!
They cancelled my appointment and didn’t inform me in advance. I was upset with them but they tried to make it right and got me in eventually. My massage with Ramil was really great.
I had the best facial in December! Went back again for a chemical peel and I see such a difference. Thank you so much for all your recommendations! I wish I remembered my estheticians name (im horrible with names) to mention her personally but i saw her twice and will only go back to see her!Also I must mention that Ive had not so great customer service from other locations but this clinic has been good to me. No complaints at all! Thanks guys!
Been going here for over 4 years. Many therapists work here, chances are you will find someone that can give you what you need in a massage. Front desk staff are always friendly.
That should be zero stars... Ive been trying to cancel my membership for over 5 months. Every time I call, I get the excuse that I need to speak with a supervisor (never available when I call) and I wait for them to call me. Meanwhile despite demanding that they cancel my service, I continue to be billed monthly. I am irate over the poor service and continued run around. Ill be lodging a complaint with the BBB.
At the first time they have Terapista for me instantly but them went a get the membership never had it. So be careful to take 1 year contract, after you are a member the appointment could be a month later and the best 15 to 20 day. I ask today for stone Terapy and they dont have Terapy especialices in stone, and this is not the first time that they cant do it.Im kind of blessing that I got six month contract. 😱😩
Uh yeah it was McAwesome. Victoria is well let me just say, I thought I had a great massage before but after her I was able to differentiate between which of my pillows was causing my neck pain. Thats why I give my McAwesome award. Its a 6.5 on a 5 scale better then the fabled 11 out of 10
You cannot get an appointment here. They limit members to two massages a month. There is only one masseuse that works after 4pm.
I used to work here and they are such amazing people & it really is a great environment :) Very clean too! I have had a massage there & Vicki was amazing I will deff be going back soon if possible I just dont live in the area.
Very dissatisfied that they cancelled my massage 20 minutes before my scheduled time. The location made no effort to reschedule me so now I dont go here anymore. This was after wasting an hour and a half each way by transit too. :/
Call ahead to book appointments. Rarely do the have space for drop ins. Love the ease of parking. Great rates. Friendly staff. Small waiting area.
We always get great massages here. The people who work on us actually listen to see what we need instead of imposing what they think we need.
