High quality massage at a reasonable price! So glad to have found this place. Went there for a deep tissue massage. It was so comfortable that I felt asleep half way 😇.It’d be my go to place for massage now!

We booked a couples massage with Lisa and Mike. They were gentle and effective at targeting the knots and areas of tension in our backs and shoulders. We highly recommend adding on hot stones or cupping therapy to complete your session. It was a great bonus to elevate our experience. If youre looking for a place to relax, unwind, and really reset your mental, this is it.The spa is in an accessible location with plenty of low cost street parking around the block. The room is warm and clean and the bed sheets are freshly laundered and smell amazing. We received $20 off for booking as a party, so the total cost was $150 for an hour, which is extremely reasonable and affordable for the service provided. We will definitely be back soon!

A wonderful massage! I did a couple’s massage while on honeymoon. It was my husband’s first time getting a massage, but both Lisa and Amy were super sweet and checked in while giving the massage. The place was clean, easy to walk to, and very relaxing. We parked near Pike Place and walked ten minutes from the parking garage. We will definitely visit again when we return to Seattle!

Was skeptical of Urban Calm Spa at first only because i was traveling and in an unfamiliar city. I arrived early and was greeted by several members of their team and they got started on me early. I receive deep tissue treatment regularly when im home and i was completely satisfied with Lisa Bs therapy! Very strong touch, very professional, and included lots of stretching i needed after walking many miles in the city. This spa is a total bargain for the service you receive!

I had a two-hour Swedish massage, and it definitely had some pros and cons. The pros of this place are that the place itself is very relaxing, and the service is excellent; easy to book an appointment, easy to find place, and everything was very well maintained and well taken care of; they put a lot of effort into creating a relaxing space for you to unwind in. They definitely put a lot of effort into making sure you are properly taken care of so you can relax into the massage.However, the actual massage left something to be desired. The masseuses technique favored using her elbows repeatedly upon certain points, notably around the shoulder blades and lower back/spine area that were so forceful even at a light/medium pressure request, that Im bruised and in pain 8 hours later. I cannot stress this enough - I left in pain and am struggling with laying down or turning because the places where the masseuses elbows were working out knots felt almost like they were hitting bone. I understand that knots are common in those areas that need pressure to be worked, but it should never feel like searing pain that after it is brought up, is repeated with additional work to the area. This was a consistent thing through the massage, where I would make indications of pain only to have it continue.While parts of the massage were excellent, the extreme attention paid to these areas has me less relaxed than when I went in previously. Additionally, the draping skills left something to be desired; half the time the sheets were only loosely piled around and the other half my underwear was constantly adjusted leaving me feeling exposed. And while I received a complimentary Hot Stone treatment due to my appointment being delayed, the masseuse didnt keep track of the stones themselves and in combination with the bad draping technique, left one pressed against my inner thigh for an extended duration that I wasnt sure if it was part of the treatment or not, and was bordering on uncomfortable by the time the masseuse noticed.It certainly wasnt the worst massage Ive ever had, and the place itself is very good - but if you go, be sure to be extremely clear about the masseuses pressure levels. Its like spice, I suppose - a medium here is an extreme level elsewhere.

Woke up this morning with a stiff lower lumbar area after a big day of exercise. Was SO grateful that I could easily schedule a massage through my iPhone for today at Urban Calm Spa! That massage was, by far, the best intervention for relief throughout my entire body, and especially my back. Also feeling like the massage is going to speed up the healing process, and words can’t express how relieved and how much better I feel right now! Also, the hospitality and environment at the spa is most excellent. Looking forward becoming a regular customer at this great business! Highly recommend Urban Calm Spa!

When I lived in Brooklyn I had a spa similar to Urban Calm a few minutes away from my place, and I was a lucky girl. Think I found my new go-to at Urban Calm here in Seattle.I’ve been to UC a couple times before and my experience was totally fine. Think this was my third massage and it was with Amy and omg she has strong hands. Firm massage is good for me because I’m super tense and always need some toughness and Amy’s pressure was perfect. My massage was amazing and super relaxing though a bit painful at points (but worth it).I reserved a 60min body and 15min foot massage on their site but when I got there I didn’t circle the feet on their body chart. Whoops! Thought they’d see the feet request there but my bad probably for not circling those. Never assume.Cherry on top is that I was so relaxed leaving I left a ring in the room and they immediately called me to let me know. This spot is a gem, clean, kind and the staff is excellent. Urban Calm Message certainly lives up to its name. My daughter and I booked 90 minute messages, she included the infrared treatment and I did a combo massage and reflexology. Booking was simple, establishment is very clean and neat, prices very reasonable. Thank you Ana and Cindy -- we feel great!

I had a 120min massage with Mike over the weekend and Im honestly stunned at the improvement in my pain level. Ive had back surgery and have a high level of pain in my back/leg and get massages pretty regularly. Even when I have felt better, I havent had this kind of overall improvement with pain and range of motion. For the first few days I was very sore and now I feel amazing. He is a miracle worker

I had a 70 min Swedish massage and cupping with Lisa and it was by far the best massage I’ve had. She really helped with all the tension I had on my feet & shoulders. Every staff member I encountered was super polite & generous 😊

Went for a deep tissue massage and I was highly disappointed at the quality I got. It was my first massage so I wasnt sure what to expect. That said, what I got was extremely disappointing. The masseuse seemed distracted, the pressure was inconsistent with barely any pressure.I would not recommend

I tried this place after a long working day. Cindy was amazing. She fixed my neck, shoulder and lower back. I know about Chinese medicine, so I can say that the spots she targeted were pretty accurate! She worked on my head near the end, and my mind felt all cleared! What a wonderful experience...

My first time here was disappointing: Massage with Mary was too aggressive and fast. It was disruptive, disjointed, and erratic throughout. It felt like she didn’t like her job and was rushing through it. I wasn’t relaxed at all. She pressed too hard on my spine area which was painful and shouldn’t even happen… also pressed too hard into the shoulder blade, which you’re not supposed to (did you study the body at all?). She was also aggressively asked for tips afterwards for terrible service. It would explain why her time slot was available compared to the others. I thought she was new and gave her a chance, but it turns out, she’s not good with massages and probably not in the right profession tbh. Not a fan of leaving negative reviews but thought others should know so they can save their money for people who can massage well and have better customer service. Begging for tips after this is not cool. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience since it’s a “spa” right? I actually wanted to laugh at how terrible it was. I had a million massages and this was one of the worse. I may change my review if I decided to give this establishment another chance with different masseuse because I may have an unlucky pick this time.

Not very great. I had a 2 hour and the therapist went out multiple times. At one time she left the door unhinged while I was at the table.There was also too many disturbances from outside so definitely not a calming experience

Solid pro massage place. Great atmosphere and decor, and street parking seems pretty easy. The rooms are quant and well kept. Pricing is perfect, especially for a downtown location. The only con worth mentioning is the lobby can get a little noisy and room doors should probably be sound proofed better, however, not a deal breaker especially at the price point.Lisa is a fantastic therapist and is very skilled. She can adjust her approach to meet your needs and is very focused on a great session. She knows several different styles of massage and excels at making your session excellent.

Booked a Hot Stone Massage, to help with some stubborn knots in my back. Got mostly a regular massage with about 10 minutes of Hot Stone. Staff was friendly, very busy place. If youre looking for a full Hot Stone massage, I dont recommend it here.

Operated by kind, gentle people who know their anatomy. The bones in my spine were separated using different methods... kinda hard to explain. But Ill def be back.

Booked a massage that I had to reschedule which the receptionist said okay and confirmed with a text. When I walked in, Dorah said “you late.” I explained that no, I rescheduled with the desk lady. After about 2 minutes of massaging me, someone came in while I was naked and stopped her to say their card reader was broken so cash only. I didn’t have cash and they tried to convince me to leave my debit card number with them for later. I said no and she said “maybe come earlier next time.” Super unprofessional and you should probably tell people before that you can only accept cash. Also didn’t appreciate being walked in on while exposed.

I decided on a whim a massage would be great. Urban Calm was able to book me same day, within only a few hours notice. Aside from the ease of booking online and the immediate availability, the 2 hour deep tissue massage was probably the best I have ever had. It felt amazing, I will definitely be back.There was a bit of a language barrier, but the massage therapist was very kind, skillful, and professional. There was a faint sound of traffic going by, but that didnt bother me.I purchased a 2 hour massage for around $130 and was booked same day. The competition nearby would charge that same price for 45 minutes and didnt have anything immediately available. This is the spot, Im telling ya.

I was so amazed by this place!! I made this appointment only a few days ahead and they were able to get me in right away. I received excellent customer service as soon as I walked through the door. The room was clean, calm, and relaxing. Lisa B was amazing!! She did a full body scan and knew exactly where my trouble areas were without me even needing to say anything. She made my body feel so good and I will definitely be seeing her again!

I love this little place near my home. Calm, relaxing and reasonably priced. I get my weekly reflexology from Mike, who really knows all the trigger points. You can bring your own bath salt for the foot soak and play your own favorite music. Get a punch card if you are a regular. You get one free massage after paying for ten. Very happy to have this little gem nearby. They are open after 9pm. It’s a bliss to get a massage before bed and sleep like a baby.

Aly at the front is very welcoming and warm too. Ive been twice in the last month.Starting with intake, they do a thorough and efficient job. Drawing on the diagram areas to work, I focused on my back for my first visit and this recent one legs + shoulders. I run, cycle, and do upper body weightlifting, with less yoga / stretching than I should. I love how its easy to schedule within 48 hours on their online system, and have come in when Im particularly tired, stressed from computer work, and/or tight with recent exercise.I went for 90 mins each time, worth every second / penny. During the massage, Lisa (cant speak to others but i assume also great) is very sensitive and got all my areas. She used her hands and arm bones to get deep in a way less experienced female masseuses are reluctant to do so forcefully. She did what she needed, I dont even really know, but climbing on the table and across my back, for maximal pressure and good angles. I was completely naked and alshe worked my butt and thighs very well, always comfortable and professional. There are bars on the ceiling i assume in case they need to stand up or you order a back walk. Super detailed and great combo relax + deep tissue for my newfound muscles. She cleaned off excess oil with a warm towel at the end, so nice.I could say more, but you probably get the idea. It was perfect and I would pay much more now that I know the quality. I tipped 20-25% both visits, in cash to Lisa. Such a steal compared to the other places nearby. The only other massage that ive had which is similar, i got from a close friend who happens to be Indonesian professional masseuse and a former massage / acupuncture trainer of others in a school in Jakaarta.Worth your while to visit. Lisa speaks enough English that she was sensitive to my every need. We even got some extra padding around my head to alleviate my adams apple protruding, causes a bit of windpipe crushing due to neck pressure when relaxed, never had that comfortable before. I used a combination of grunts, yes, thank you, thumbs up, good and shei shei (mandarin thank you) to indicate when she was doing particularly effective massage. I heard her smile thank you each time. Love you Lisa!! Thanks!!!

Pros: cheaper and more availability than most other places, I booked same dayCons: my masseuse didn’t speak English so I wasn’t able to tell her what I wanted. The rooms aren’t completely soundproof so you can faintly hear cars outside.The massage itself was not bad, the overall experience could have been more relaxing.

My experience at urban calm was lovely. We were able to get in for a couples the day off. They were also very willing to help when we wanted to change our time to an earlier time. Our therapists were very well trained and professional. Both were very good at communicating and doing deep pressure. Would highly recommend this spa!

This place is amazing! Went for a couples massage with my wife. Did the 60 minute Swedish back massage and 30 minute feet massage combination (came out to $230 + $30 tip)…and they pulled out all the stops. They hit all the pain points, used a hot towel midway, and included a short head/scalp massage. Masseuses knew how to gage the appropriate pressure for each region.Best massage I’ve ever gotten. Clean environment. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back.
