The concierge at the Westin hotel recommended this place. Im so thankful to her!Ive never been happier in my life than Friday night here. The incredible band will make you dance all night and the staff is super wonderful including Ronin. How lucky of those who live here and can enjoy this luxury of music and venue.
This is one of my favorite small music venues. The owner is a great guy who also plays the bass. They book great music, lots of established Seattle musicians palying funk and jazz. Its a great local hang. They have a quality ginger beer I love as an alcohol alternative.
This is Holdinfyahs hang spot. Further more this is where a lot of musicians hang out even when they are not performing. My bands frequently play here. #paulhuppler #holdinfyah #satorisoundsystem #comfortfoodband #thehighlifeband #onevibeband #artistsupportartist #findyourpassionandshareit
I met up with friends on a Sunday night to listen to jazz and it was a great time. Its not crowded at all and people show up at different times so the crowd changes as the night goes on. We met folks visiting from out-of-town who wanted to experience the cool Seattle music scene. And we met other friendly locals who are into jazz. (I know- crazy! But the Seattle Freeze was not in effect!) The bartender was great and made an awesome Negroni! There is a full bar and plenty of spaces to sit with a view of the stage or tucked away if you want to chat with friends while still enjoying the music. Im looking forward to checking out other nights to see how different the crowd and vibe are when its more crowded.
Women bartender with the bangs, ableist racist. Not a safe place for POC or people who are not able bodied. Made fun of a person of color who stutters, said “are you going to keep stuttering?”. Wouldn’t recommend. POC who have disabilities deserve the same respect as everyone else.
Is this a private club now? Closed most of the time. The few times they were open the staff was weird. Bartender tried to charge me 9 bucks for a beer when it said 6 on the menu, twice. Place has a strange vibe like they dont want any customers. Two stars, at least the beer was cold.
I went to the Sea Monster Lounge for the first time, to see and support some of my musical friends. I ordered a drink only to support the establishment while there, when paying my bill I found I was charged a credit check fee. Never in my 70 years have I had such a charge applied to my bill. As much as I enjoyed the music, I am not sure I will return after being charge for credit card check.
I had a great time here! Amazing music, the staff was super nice. They could probably open a window because it can get really stuffy. When I walked in the front door window was all foggy from all the body heat and it took everything in me not to run my hand down it like rose in the Titanic.. More of an intrusive thought lol but the venue is great, they music is amazing, and its full of life and good drinks
Bartender (guy) tonight charged me $67dlls for 2 long Island Ice tea top shelf. I never in my life had to paid that much. I always order the same everywhere. I like the music but I wont come back again. He treated me like if I didnt know what I was asking for. He was really disrespectful
The Seamonster is that place I wanted my whole life where I can listen to live music and KILLER funk right here in the neighborhood. The audience ranges from 21 to 71 and everyone is shaking their butts together on the dancefloor in harmony. The musicians are truly world class, and all the funk musicians that cycle through there especially so! This place is such a good time!
Seamonster Lounge has been a Seattle classic for fun, funk, and other live music for several decades. Its last owner, Andrew, was friendly and always welcoming. Their new owners are not only friendly, but encourage interaction and dancing. Whether youre looking for a good watering hole, or a chill nice night of fun music and dancing, its a great place to go. Ive met many new friends here over the years.
I’ve never seen an establishment so irresponsible about animal management! This is unacceptable! I shan’t be returning and neither shall any of my acquaintances. One ugly, dull star
This is an awesome music venue! I attended the Freddy Fuego Salsa event and the Blue Velvet Groove and The Filthy 5th bands. The staff is friendly and they have 2 bar areas to keep lines down. The room has great sound and lots of people dancing to the soul/funk music. They have good beers on tap as well as mixed drinks. The parking is street parking, which can be limited. You can find parking within a block or two at most, though.
Its a very good vibe if you like salsa music, but the place is small
I only saw the funk band on a saturday. And it was amazing! They are soooo good. If you like funk and the crazy sound of that piano, youll love them. I believe they are regulars and before that there was a band that played latin american music... it was pretty crowded, but we stayed close to the stage which I feel had a little more space. This place is mainly a bar with live music. My friends got some infused whiskey that they enjoyed.
Showed up 45 minutes before closing. They served my whole party drinks, then kicked us out because they were closing. They forced us to chug our drinks and locked us out in 40 degree weather. I understand closing early and last call, but why serve us and then try to make us leave 5 minutes after we get there and force us to immediately finish all of our drinks, and when we arent going fast enough, come back and day something again to make us go faster. Seriously what is this. We are standing outside where its 38 degrees because the door is locked and we were forced to finish our drinks in under 5 minutes.
Went to Funk night and absolutely love the vibe of the band. Bassist definitely got everyone grooving and what a drummer! 10/10 night! Drinks average price.
Was considering seeing a jazz gig here but after reading about the bartender Ive decided not to go. Service must be friendly. The bartender must be nice and helpful so if some of these reviews are true then theyve lost a potential guest.
Easily my favorite bar in Seattle. I was at first afraid of the sea but Ive really come around on it.Every Friday they have funk night with Funky 2 Death playing. Treat yourself and come out to see them!!
Best music, best bar, amazing musicians come through here and looking forward to so many upcoming shows!Sneaky talented Seattle musicians play here. The owner is super cute and runs an amazing bar.Its a community hereCatch McTuff in all its versions each Tuesday. Joe Doria+++++++++Its funky and oh so fun
Great live music venue with a very eclectic roster of musical styles played by some of Seattles finest musicians. This place feels like Old Seattle; welcoming, quirky, beyond categorization. There was even plenty of on street parking! The staff is great, nice room, good PA, (I was playing and really appreciate their attention to this) and best of all, a HOUSE DRUM SET! How civilized! It reminded me of my time in NYC!Come check out the scene any night of the week, youll be glad you did!
This place is a little hidden gem in Wallingford. The funky, soul and jazzy vibe is just right. The people are down to earth and from all walks of life. The owners are great, super welcoming and attentive. If youre looking for a place to take the edge off and listen to live music during the week, this is the spot, and if youre looking to meet interesting people, listen to some great bands and get your dance on during the weekend, this is the spot!
Go here on Monday night jam sessions if you want the people running it to stop you in the middle of a set, take your instrument away, and tell you how youre playing wrong. My bad, I thought it was a jam session. Overbearing and ruined my experience and the same thing happened to a couple of my friends who went. I mentioned it to the bartender and he said its not the first time hes heard that exact complaint. Its a shame because its otherwise a really cool place.
This is the most amazing bar in the Seattle area. The owner and the staff are absolutely incredible! Funky Fridays are the absolute best. Prepare yourself for moving your body to the music and an amazing time!
Legendary local music venue! Amazing musicians from around the world can be found here with shows happening almost every night of the year. Masterfully crafted cocktails and a rotating selection of local draft beers. No food, but you can bring your own or take out from many local restaurants. Cheers!
Can you keep a secret? So can I.This bar is a secret gem. Great live music from multiple genres. Solid bar. Friendly staff. A stage and a little room for dancing.Worth dropping into and seeing where the night takes you.
After hearing a review about a mutual friend being kicked out by the owner while being taunted and elbowed by some random woman friends with the owner, I will definitely never give this business a dime. Why would I want to support a business who thinks its ok to assault and bully customers?
Amazing entertainment, I love seeing a dog chow down on a small woman
Find a great artist or musician/band that youre interested in and this place provides an excellent intimate experience for the competent sound system and very polite staff!
Nice little bar to listen to music. Very friendly and service was excellent at the bar. Saw two different bands and both were very entertaining.
Fun live band salsa night on Saturday. Great bands, great energy for dancer and non dancers alike. The one drag--the sound man refuses to play salsa between sets, which is silly.
What an incredible spot. Was there on Friday night for Funky to Death. The staff was super friendly, the live sound was perfectly mixed, and the vibes were immaculate. Cant wait to go back!
This was a great place. The seating was fine for me, and I was on crutches. They have a large variety of beer. The sound system is loud and well-tuned, a perfect combination for live music. My ears didnt ring afterwards. The crowd was super into the music and their vibe was infectious. Id go again any time!
I love the Sea Monster Lounge! Its an intimate club with a very cool vibe! My favorite spot for funk music! Funky 2 Death (F2D) is my favorite house band. If you want to have a good time with good people in a safe place hit the Sea Monster!💜
For twenty years, Sea Monster Ive frequented,A community spot where joys are cemented,Laughter and music fill the air so sweet,A haven where memories and friendships meet.
Only been once (saw McTuff and they blew the roof the place), but its now officially in my top five Seattle music venues. Excellent sound, reasonably priced drinks, and a chill crowd who enjoys amazing music. Whod have thunk a music venue owned and operated by musicians would be such a hit :D if they served appetizers, this would be a six-star review. Thankfully its a very short walk from Ezells...
Cool bar. The service was friendly, and the entire establishment was clean, including the restrooms, and comfortable. The atmosphere was a bit artsy, cool, and non-pretentious. Id totally go back.
Love this venue. Ive only been a couple times, but man Ive had some great experiences. If you like funky, groovy, or jam dance music, this is the spot to go. On top of that, the house band is killer. Want a place to dance on a Tuesday night? Sea Monster.
That funk band is tight! Musicianship of the players is phenomenal. The music selection is a mix of classic chart toppers, dance grooves, and hip hop all time greats. Ive been a musician for 35 years and so Im not easily impressed. This band killed it.
Great sound quality in an intimate setting. We like the band that plays on Saturday early evenings. Drinks are good, though some are a little sweet for my taste. The staff are consistently welcoming.
This dive bar has a great ambiance and is quite large inside. Their staff is super nice and they have live bands playing quite often. Pretty good prices on drinks, this place is where a lot of people go to end their nights. Its on the outskirts of Wallingford, so people work towards I5 as the night goes on to get home anyways.
Always great music. Always open late. Great drinks. The Spanish Coffee is worth the trip.
I’ve only been here once and it was a Saturday night when they had live music. There is a cover charge but the music is great and drinks are fairly cheap. The band was a funky type band that really got the crowd going. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, dancing and moving with the music.I’ll be back here again.
Super impressed with the house band. They were outstanding performers. The service by the bartenders was very good and all other staff members were helpful and professional. Ill definitely be going back to Sea Monster on a regular basis. Thank You!
First time to Sea Monster and it didnt disappoint. We saw the Barrett Martin Group, good jazz/funk, they pretty much just jammed out the whole time. Cozy venue and the crowd was great. As always, parking on 45th isnt a dream, but it was a Saturday night and we found parking about half a block south. $10 admission, free coat check, ear plugs for $1, and some novel drinks can be made behind the door. Heads up - the worst seat in the house was the table just behind the entrance to the dance floor/stage area - it looks like a good idea at first but youll have everyone standing right in front of you by the time the show starts. Every other seat seemed fine though.
Cool little space with a variety of acts. We stopped in late night for a jazz/funk/soul trio that turned into more of a prog-jazz experience complete with layered projections between audience and musicians and songs that went nowhere. Drinks are reasonably priced, lots of space to just hang out, and some of the best people watching in Seattle.
Nice staff, cool place, great live music, will come again. Jerry Joseph was a good show!!
The band tonight really slappad da bass.
Such a great place to see live shows, small and intimate. Great sound system and we saw such a fun band.
This place has consistently awesome funk music, a fun crowd, and pretty great drinks, including a wide selection of interesting beers on tap. Try their house infusions, like Blackberry Chai Whiskey, on the rocks. The coat check is a nice touch in the winter time. $10 cover on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sea Monster Lounge is a sweet little spot for live music that often tends to fall in the jazz/funk/jam realm. Live acts typically start on the later side, which is a rarity for Seattle, creating one of the few rooms in the city where its possible to hear live music until 1am. With a smartly-designed, intimate performance space thats just beyond a large, open window to the bar, the venue offers good acoustics and nice views of the band.
My first time at the Sea Monster was with Forró Foleada and Reposado (follow them on Instagram). What a combination!!! Both band are amazing, Latino music, fun night with a lot of dancing.
This evening, Mambo Cadillac. Great band, great dancing. Started set 20 minutes late. They have some home made infused drinks, smooth. I ordered 4 rounds, great! Lemon, mint vodka. Soul, funk, Latino, all dance music, brings back old school. Fun!
Seamonster Lounge is outstanding! I had always seen it passing by and was determined to go. Then they had their remodeling! And boy did it work out. The inside is much bigger than you would think. We ended up going on Funky Friday/Funk you 2 death. Theres a cover of $10 but its most definitely worth it. They have a live band playing nothing but funk and the occasional hip hop song.
So went to this place last night in some weird aggressive bartender which was a guy was trying to take my money and tell me to tip him big like I dont have to tip you if I dont want to do he gets mad in started screaming telling me in my friend to leave the bar because we were new and he wanted to flex on us to force a tip from us never going back again
What once was a hole in the wall bar about 12 ft wide with free, awesome music spilling out onto the sidewalk of Wallingford every night of the week has now expanded into a cool little jazz, funk, and Latin music club. Awesome drinks, great music (still free Sun-Wed), and a dance floor to make you cut a rug. Seamonster hosts some of Seattles best jazz and funk artists, with weekly residencies and visiting bands thrown into the mix. A great spot to see live music for $10 or less.
Good live music, decent drinks, small place get here early if you want some good seats or if you want a spot in the dancing floor. Overall pretty good. Parking can be tough.
Watch Sea Mo Jam 10 on YouTube youll thank me later. We came to clooooooose
The bands Ive heard hear are all great performers. The Cuban musicians have so much versatility, and 700 Funk always makes you want to move your body out on the dance floor!
The live music was AWESOME and there was no cover charge! They even let me dance while the band was playing. The other folks there were hella friendly! Got to speak with the guitarist after the set.
One of the most fun places we’ve ever been. A great atmosphere and some extremely talented jazz artists. Definitely a go to when you’re in Seattle!
Always enjoy the Seamonster. They have some nice homemade drinks and infused alcohols as well as a good tap selection. The food is also very good and relatively inexpensive. Additional points for happy hour 4-6 everyday!
We all need funk in our lives, and this place serves up an all-you-can-eat funk buffet. My mind was blown from the moment I walked in, the vibe was electric and the band was on point. The layout of the bar almost belongs in Belltown, as it is very long and narrow. What this allows for is the unique opportunity to be close to the band, regardless of when you show up. A great spot to take a few friends from out of town, but I wouldnt go with more than four people as you will have a hard time staying together. No cover when I went on a Saturday. Will be back very soon!
Saw a Latin band here and people were dancing throughout the gig.Artwork is nice and i got a psychedelic vibe.Beers are priced okay and this is a good hangout place in the Wallingford area.
Saw an incredible funk band here the other day - cool venue! Different genres each day of the week, with a full bar. Came recommended to me and I would definitely recommend it as well.
Great live music, good beer with some rotators, tasty food. Only wish more nights didnt have a small cover.. as it was many years ago. But the new bigger space is great.
Always a great vibe and fun atmosphere. Love the live music
I love the sea monster.!Blues and soul from the heart.MultipleBands and drop in players and singers. Two bars no waiting. A Coat Check!!! Can you believe it?? Infrequent band breaks but music keeps playing and dancers keep 🕺dancing! You dont need a partner but I am OG and prefer one .Some dance moves just are not the same with a non-existent partner! Get there, check your coat, enjoy a quick drink, hit the floor dancing 💃 and dont stop until the last break. Get another drink Take care of hygiene and when the last set startsHit the floor again for the best set of the night!I love the Sea Monster!!
My favorite place! The music and the vibe is just so great!!! Used to go there every week before quarantine. I was so happy to be back again tonight 🤍🤍🤍
Always a great time! This remodeled venue has a better layout and more nooks and crannies to see the stage very. Went to see Danny Godinez and they were jamming. He even played While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Pleasant enough bar, first time in... drinks were well made by a friendly observant bartender.I did experience minor bullying and verbal assault by the clientele, that were loud, young, and white (entitlement) enough, to get the bouncer (?) - doing a fine job, btw- on their side. Id call them Seattle fake liberal progressives. But whatever, thats on them, not the bar. Chads and Karens? Probably. It left a bad taste in my mouth for several reasons, is my point.I would like to go back and get in on the live tunes. Looks like a good music spot.
This small bar was a nice surprise. The music was bumping, and the crowd was lively. It was packed, but in the good way. I could still dance and maneuver around the bar with only a small fear of spilling my beverage. Will definitely be coming back for more.
What a great place! Were very fortunate to have such an awesome spot for live music in our city. And the staff is wonderful. Always friendly and efficient.
Small venue, fast service, good music, good vibes
The weekend brunch is great! Really tasty and creative food (try the sweet potato pancakes and the rose blossom creme brulé). Theres live jazz that was really beautiful
Great live funk band! We danced all night, mingled with the friendly crowd drinking merrily merrily merrily until the place closed down.
Especially after the remodel, this place is an amazing place to see live music in Seattle. Great drinks and a reasonable cover. Highly recommended, which I dont do lightly.
The few times I’ve gone have always been nice, its a cool little spot, gets crowded sometimes and the live music I heard was blues and hard rock.
There was no sushi, nor eclectic art. It looked like they were set up for music, but there wasnt any when I stopped by at 8pm on a thursday. This place is a small dive bar with American and Mexican menu options, the overview on google was very misleading.
The single stall bathroom has no lock on the door and no divider between the toilet and urinal so you might get a visitor while on the throne. The whole place has a rather unsavory smell but the bar tenders are quality and they get talented musicians consistently.
Pretty sweet room, cheap cover for a killer band. Sound wasnt great to start, but they got it dialed in pretty quick. Disappointed that there wasnt a sea monster, but there was a Seattle Seahawks mascot getting down on the dancefloor!
Loved the music Funk night a bit small and in the U-Dub district so lots of youth. Bartenders were really quick and helpful, very fun vibes a bit small but overall great time.
Cool atmosphere, the Funk band rocked it!!! Drinks were a bit expensive, between me and my lady the tab was $125. Guy bartender there is kind of a jerk but whatever
Straight up great live Funk Jazz in the heart of Wallingford, Seattle. Dont expect much in the way of food or lounge comforts. Thats OK, live music and crowd make up for it. Come here to get your funk on.
My friend and his wife booked the place for their 40th and it was a great venue. Awesome jazz band turned into karaoke. We had a great time.
Depends on the music. But this bar doesnt supply straws but serves drinks in reusable plastic drinkware. Im cool with the no plastic straws movement but Im left wondering if this plastic I sip alcohol from is fully sanitized and if these are BPA-Free?
There hasnt been sushi for a few years! BUT great, great funk/jazz music and bartenders. Good stage. Decent burgers. Dont miss this Seattle fixture.
We had a wonderful time! Great space, broad drink selection. Bartender was personable, friendly, made great drinks, and was super patient with our group! I will surely be back! Thank you! 💖🌊
Very cool place with lots of locals. Very attentive owner at the bar & cool live music!
Ive only been here once, but the place was overcrowded and the so-called funk band left much to be desired. That said, the cool octopus stamp was almost with the $8 cover!
The funky place has awesome music. On weekends, latin & salsa music starts early, then funk ends the night. So fun.
I miss the Sea Monster so much. How can I help? When will you guys be back? I knowJimmy is in Brazil and the gang is all loose but how and when can we bring back the funk!?Much love,A. Gray
I fell in love with them, especially live music, with an amazing sound system. They are the best and unique, excellent drinks, spacious and friendly atmosphere.
Great music and a fun place to get on the dance floor. Be sure to check out Funk Fridays :) People of all ages enjoy the music here.
The owner is super nice and has different types of music playing everynight.
Extremely friendly people, I preformed at an open mic they had and the talent there is ridiculously good! No food, but its pretty spacy and Spacey 😮. It was groovy ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
One of my favorite places! Amazing bands, fantastic staff and friendly crowds!
This is a fantastic neighborhood bar with surprisingly delicious brunch. Food is great, the Jazz was terrific! Andrew, the owner is a classy guy.
Love them Always and forever.
I had the pleasure of Friday and Saturday evening there. They bring the FUNK AND VIBE.Music was rocking and crowd was lively.Especially the beautiful mind. Plan to return soon✨
I love this live music scene. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices on beer and mixed drinks. I love thier jam sessions n nights!
Nice little spot. Good music. A bit loud for my taste since the space is small and bands can play pretty loud. Weekends are busy here though.
I missed the jazz brunch, and had to watch a Seahawks game instead, but the food was fantastic (mole chicken tacos!) and they have a great selection of beers.
Still has the funky atmosphere, but now its larger, and has a dance floor, which is perfect for their Saturday night salsa music acts!
The Seamonster is the center of gravity for music in Seattle. For unique, original music that makes you want to dance, this is the place.
Really great music talent. Lots of space to move around, sit and grab a drink or dance on the floor
Great music and a nice variety of drinks. The cover does keep increasing over the years and that is what keeps it from a full 5 star rating.
I have heard some of the best funk, soul, and jazz musicians in Seattle over the years. Just make sure to avoid the Monday open Mic night stand up comedians.
Great spot for live music and mingling with world class musicians and artists. This spot is known for funk and jazz, and is a community centered venue.
Nice vibe!Great atmosphereFun times. No need to wait until Friday night!
Fun space with lots of different spots to hang. Live music of all sorts and nice staff. I wish they had food.
Music nightly and pretty damn great if I say so myself. They recently, expanded the walls out and re-arranged the back area to give the musicians a little more room and allow Rain Sushi to serve people. I wish they had cutdown the width of the tables to make the area a little more passable fo rthose who want to get to the bathrooms, but hell bumping and grinding your way to the back is a lot of fun.BE REALLY CAREFUL PARKING ON THE SIDE STREETS. TICKETS ARE HANDED OUT LIKE LSD AT AN ACID TEST IN HAIGHT ASBURY. $53YOU CANT PARK ON MANY OF THE SIDE STREETS BETWEEN 5PM-12AM
$10 cover for live music for the whole night-- for both the bands when I went. Very tasty signature cocktails 😁
Great music club for jazz, funk and dance music. Owner and staff are awesome.
Every Friday it is funk night and it is amazing. Even the owner of the sea monster comes on stage and sings a couple songs. 10/10
They serve interesting drinks and great music but I can do without chicks with hairy armpits that smell like frankincense and mrrrh
This place lets the owners friends abuse women and get away with it. Avoid this place as it’s not safe for women.
Good live music, got there early and got a good table near the music. The bathrooms were clean. Heres a pic of the view from my table.
Good for music, but too loud for easy conversation. If you are going for a unique atmosphere and live music, its the place for you though!
Much larger venue since the expansion, still an excellent place to hear great live music.
I enjoyed my time here while watching a cover band.
Funky 2 Death is an incredible fun time every Friday night.
Cool cozy place to watch live shows, decent beer selection too.
Ive been here numerous times and the music is always fantastic. Reliably a super enjoyable night out.
Excellent balance of cool and neighborhood dive. Was there for a friends jazz band. Good drinks, friendly service
The music is absolutely great, drinks decently priced for a city as expensive as Seattle, but bring earplugs if you care about your hearing long term.
Free live music, had marionberry cider on tap and clean bathrooms.
The atmosphere was fun and
The free Jazz on Tuesday nights is awesome! Always draws a great crowd and chill but excited energy.
The staff, the musicians and the vibes are always what I need. Thanks for bringing the monster out of the sea. Great place to go solo or with a sexy friend.
Good music, cool venue, beer is pretty expensive and theres a one dollar charge for card transactions.
The funk band here is legit. Doesnt take forever to get a drink. Cool atmosphere.
The music is so fantastic. I had a fabulous time here. Definitely coming back when Im in town.
The band Funk 2 Death was good. The Kitchen closes early so food is not an option.
Always the best live music, the epicenter of groove carefully curated by CEO Andrew Nunez. #jazz #funk #soul #latin
Great place for shows or your casual night drink. Good sound system and nice atmosphere
This is a monster I can love ❤️
Great vibe funky music
A Seattle Landmark- Seamonster is a fun place to Groove, get a drink and eat some amazing sushi. Service was excellent- the atmosphere is fun.
Cool funky place with an intimate setting, time your visit with live music but no food to speak of
Unique vibe with great music. Staff and bartenders were courteous and helpful even with large crowds.
Love this place! Saw Jerry Joseph play there recently and the experience is just great.
Great funk bar close to UW. Funk you to death Fridays are where its at.
Well google mislead us.. There is not sushi and there hasnt been for a few years. But it has a cool atmosphere.
Delightful atmosphere at lunch time. Great jazz, delicious food, quiet nooks....perfect space for business meetings.
Literally a massive dog is running wild in the bar how is this safe at all
Great brunch, fantastic live music. Been a blast every time Ive visited.
Great local music venue. Be prepared for wall to wall dancing from the door to the dancefloor.
Small, nice venue for music
A disgusting, drooling 120lb dog almost bit me here. Would not recommend.
Cool spot for music, but the service was horrible. The employees were very condescending and wanted to put forth as little effort as possible.
Great place for live music on Monday nights.
Hole in the wall but fun place to stop by and listen to the music. Never pressured to order anything and comfortable sofas to sit at.
Funky jams, good vibes, slippery fire escape ladder to the roof... all in all. Always have a good time here!
Tuesdays and Fridays are the best. Great funk music and good dancing.
They do a great job of getting great music acts. loved it. good sound too.
One of my favorite places to film bands! Here is School of Rock Seattle!
I love the Seamonster! Best music, people and atmosphere for dancing and all around good times.
Great place for funk and dancing! Good drinks too.
Great music, friendly bartender. Good vibes all around!
This place is legendary.
Really great for local jazz, quick drinks and enjoyable small ambiance.
Recent interior remodel. Includes stage set up for bands, larger dance area. Usually crowded.
I had so much fun here. Great venue and great music.
Good place to see live music, though they are charging higher covers than they used to and the bartenders mysteriously do bad math when charging for drinks even when the prices are clearly listed.
Mark is awesome! Great bar, line music, his times.
Weird layout, but it was kinda cool with the side stage area.
Absolutely greet Tuesday night band plus great bartenders plus great drinks plus great atmosphere!!!!!
I really like that place. really good people. Plus live music for cheap.
An unassuming little place that routinely hosts world-class musicians. You never know who you’ll find here!
Best margaritas i have ever had. Smoked jalapeno infused tequila.
A Fantastic cove that harbors top tier musicians and beautiful human beings.
Best place for live music, funky to death and fun. Try the Spanish coffee!
Wide variety of live music. Excellent sound. Friendly staff.
Awesome! Happy New Year! Such a great way to greet the new year... Dance!
Great music venue, friendly atmosphere and bartenders.
Fun vibes and environment, and awesome music!
My home away from home! Thanks to Mark and all the beautiful people here!
Good ambience, but it does not offset the high drink prices and lack of parking.
Always great acts and a fun, well priced bar.
Great venue with great music but bar service took forever
