Essence of spa

Bought a Groupon for a premium massage which is normally $149 for a 60 min with aromatherapy, hot stones and foot scrub. The Groupon was a dealas I purchased it to for $70.Forgot to ask the masseuses name but it was a male. He did a good job focused on my back like I requested. It was very relaxing and areas were very clean. They have some early bird specials and if you purchase a gift card for several you get a better deal. Located on Ventura so only street parking but had no issues.

Been here couple of times, we went tonight, We got the swedish couples massage and the massage was great. I had to tell my therapist to make it harder but after that she did amazing. My husband therapist was also good. We just had some comments for the manager/owner. Hopefully they put all their stuff that they need for the massage in the room or its easily ready. My husband’s therapist ( we were at the same room ) kept going out, i think to grab something outside. She went thrice and it has disrupted our session and not mentioned it lessens the time we paid for the massage and also i think therapist has different techniques cause even my husband and i got the same service, he had some stones or essential oil for him to smell during the massage and i didn’t get those besides that it was still a good massage and we would still come back. Try it!

Fiona was absolutely incredible and life changing. 90mins with her and I walked out feeling fully relieved of the tension I was holding in my upper body, neck, and shoulders. Perfect pressure and gentleness while still getting the job done. I am so grateful! Looking forward to visiting with her again!

The ambiance is peaceful The people working there are so nice I have some recurring back issues and they have always been kind and affordable and its a great massage too I highly recommend it just spending the extra five bucks for the hot stones

My boyfriend and I got a couples massage from Groupon. The spa is small but beautifully done and very clean. There is street parking free after 6pm on weekends. All of the ladies were sweet and checked in with us constantly to make sure we were comfortable. The beds are heated, low lighting and they play nature sounds throughout the spa. They provide cups of water after each massage which is a nice plus. Reasonable price and super relaxing. Definitely recommend!

We scheduled a 90-minute couples massage, and it was absolutely amazing! The price was great, access was easy, and the customer service was perfect!

I booked a couples massage and one of the massage therapists kept leaving the room, and did not start our massages at the same time, however they ended at the same time. Our experience was rushed and the woman was rude to us at check out. We tipped depending on service/performance/experience, which was under the suggested value. The woman told us that we have to tip at the suggested value (in a very rude tone). We will not be coming back to this place.

I have been here two times for a combo massage with two different masseuse technicians. They were both good . I would say I had good experiences both times. Place is small but they have several rooms and the spa setting and location is relaxing. Meter parkings or you can park in the little streets on the side.

This was my first time getting a professional massage and I really enjoyed the experience. The staff was kind and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Although not the biggest place, I liked that it wasn’t over crowded. I am sensitive to touch and the masseuse never applied too much pressure. It was just what I needed, and I will be back! They have groupons online as well

Had a couples massage and it was such a good experience! They were very kind and got a lot of knots I didn’t even know I had! Make sure to tip! The facilities are super clean, relaxing music, and the hot stones were so unexpectedly relaxing! Definitely recommend! I found them through Groupon but they also have a couples massage deal going on right now that might even be better! OMG! if you want a amazing massage you have to go. I wasnt able to lift my arm very high, after the massage I can lift it. Im so excited the pain is gone. I had a deep tissue massage Ill never go anywhere else. The facility is spotless, sanitized, very nice. You have to be vaccinated before you go, they do check. They take your temp as well. I cant say enough about the staff. Trust me you will leave feeling like youre floating on air...They get a A++ from me...GREAT JOB! Essence Spa. Thank you sooo much, I cant wait to go back..

This place is the worst I paid one hundred and twenty dollars for my beautiful gorgeous wifes birthday to have a 3hr message which she wells deserves but she had to work on the day of August 23 yes this year but to make a long story even longer I call maybe no more then a few days later keep in mind which I failed to mention I never redeemed the passes on line on purpose because just in case my wife couldnt make it I wanted her to have the passes and be able to make her own reservations whenever she sat aside some time But when I looked on line at my groupon account another situation I will never be doing bussiness with, this place and I really wanna say these people straight up hand to my new found religion and God they stole my wifes gift yes essential day spa took it upon themselves to go into my account and get the voucher number which is how I can say accusingly because thats the only you can get the voucher number because Iike I said I never redeemed the passes so only I knew and had access to the account which is what I thought groupon but the kicker and bad bussiness part is this when I called them they told me they werent going to reimburse me nor allow my wife to reschedule another appointment and if they did allow it I have to pay an additional charge BBB WOW its all bad bad bad but Im not upset because I never have to go to that place ever again and it only cost me 120$.. dollars but hey its cheaper then a college lesson.... essential Day Spa thats out ..location woodland hills ventura blvd

So as others have stated, the biggest source of the issues here is the front desk. She is curt, rude, interrupts, is never helpful and never tries to help out.Am i to believe that a massage spa in sherman oaks wont have 2x female masseuses at one time for at least 8-10 days? Thats precisely what i was told.1st time we went for a couples, we also asked for 2 females. To my surprise a guy walks in and tells me theres noone else available.I have heard from other people that this is a common practice here. Most people wont get up, get dressed and leave because the masseuse is a man. They basically book you, take your card info so your locked in and tell you you can get a female only to come there and see otherwise. Classic bait and switch.I asked if they could refund my gift cert to which she abruptly said no and was not willing to discuss it further. Glad i ALWAYS use Amex for instances like this when a shady business takes advantage.My wife said that JJ was great so thank you to JJ. My massage was super rushed. The masseuse seemed like he was racing against himself. Massage is supposed to be done slowly!All in all there are better spots everywhere who respect and appreciate their customers.

This is my go to massage place! Every therapist Ive had has been great. They have appointments same day every time Ive called. They adjust quickly to feedback regarding areas to focus on and pressure. Im happy I found this place!

Misha gave me one of the best massages I have ever had! Its hard finding someone who knows what theyre doing when it comes to prenatal massage and hands down she hit every spot. I feel really relaxed and will be back 😌

This place was great they walk on you they use hot rocks, massage it self was so so so good. And very reasonable price they dont shorten the time very clean(didnt get covid after I was kind of worried about it) the staff were very professional and nice and 😷. Great place would totally recommend. 👍

WOW this place is wonderful. I found them on Groupon but called the location to get the Groupon price without going threw the 3rd party website. Initially hesitant because theres only a handful of reviews but WOW best massage of my life and Im a massage junky. I live in the bay area but will make an effort to drop in whenever Im in town for sure!Get the deep tissue with Misha you wont regret it 💙

I initially went here and loved the place but after my third appointment one of the people that checked me out basically harassed me to tip more I tip $15 for a 60 min massage I don’t think the employees should basically harass the customers

A male masseuse walked into my room without knocking and stared at me when I was naked. His name was Alex. Owner did not do anything about it and kept saying I wanted things for free. I filed a police complaint against this spa. Ladies be careful and do not come here. ITS VERY UNSAFE

I discovered them on Groupon & realized their in store discounts were just as amazing so my husband & i go every month now! We love JJ (female) & Alex (male)!!
