Got my credit and debit cards skimmed here. Buyer bewareEdit: I cannot reply to the owner but I have records of my card saying declined at their pumps and then having 3 charges report within the next 1/2 hour at $70 twice and $120 listed by my bank as sunset grocery. Not trying to slander, could have been a glitch, beware regardless.

I love this friendly little neighborhood convenience store. Ya cant get gas here, but you can get just about everything else!

This place is amazing. And the workers are all so amazing and chill. The best neighborhood market in Spokane I think.

Its sketch going late at night because of the homeless ppl all over looking for drugs or trying too sell them. The store is nice though I like that its 24/7 unlike a lot of places in spokane anymore

Sunset market is a fantastic store thats open 24 hours a day. The staff are normal people on a normal level. They dont treat people different based on social status they are professional and friendly and not fake friendly. The store has a bit of everything so if you need something chances are they will have it and the prices arent too far fetched for a little store. The place is clean and well organized. If a bunch of people are hanging out in front of the store they will usher people away from the building and in my experience it has always been in a professional/friendly way considering as long as the people dont push back.This place is a great store, decent prices, clean, and overall a great store to visit.

Awesome little corner store!! Been going there for a very long time now, pretty much since it opened. Good selection of products in all their areas; food, drinks, & of course the age 21+ items like cigerettes & alcohol. Workers are always friendly and helpful. Not to mention they have generally unbeatable Prices for cigarettes & sometimes alcohol too. As a loyal & long time customer I highly recommend this establishment!!

Really amazing down to earth people who work there. Oh member dont get it twisted they are REAL & RAW with in reason and when need to be . Even tho the owners arent related to their employees its a family atmosphere.. the people who work there constantly are putting up with the worst of the worst addicts cause lets face it its in browns addition..if I could id actually just chill there and kick it for a second .. definitely never a dull moment

ALOT of shady characters but everyone that works there always seems down to Earth. They will calk the cops if they need to but most the vagrants are harmless while you are there. They sell drug paraphernalia in Brown addition so....self explanitory. If you are stuck up or scared of unsavory characters this store is not for you but there is a church right up the road 😉

This place is shady on both sides of the counter, I am now among the probable hundreds of people that have been sold a counterfeit e-cigarette from this place and their refund policy specifically on their e-cigarettes is ‘no refund’. They make an illegal sale, and then refuse to fix. This business is an embarrassment to Spokane.

It’s a little sketchy at 10 o’clock on Friday night, but when you just landed and you need some supplies for an impromptu celebration, this is the place to go.

I love the people that work at this store. I just moved over by finch arboretum so Ive been going there quite a bit. Obv theyre in a location where there is quite a homelessness issue, but I feel comfortable going there with my young daughter bc the staff is so awesome. Ive been approached by strange men and dont feel nervous for a second bc Ive seen the cashiers watching intently, making sure everything is on the up and up.Not only that, but they also treat the less fortunate people like anyone else, as it should be. So I appreciate that. Also, they basically have everything you could need in a pinch when everything else is closed. For sure my favorite nearby shop.

Ah the stab-n-grab. This mural adorned hole-in-the-wall is the only place in town where I can show up at literally anytime my heart desires and purchase the following glorious assortment:• the wonderfully nostalgic and yet increasingly elusive circus peanuts somehow still sold in those red and yellow bags marked with the manufacturer decreed price of 2 bags for only $2• an oil burner at a mid-range cost of $8 when the midnight tweaking has resulted in the total destruction of my current bubble• a $1.50 soda from one of those mystical coke machines that somehow can produce drinks in almost any flavor one can wish for and• a box of 5 trash bags shockingly priced at $27• a large stuffed TY dragon legally priced at only $4.99all sold by my favorite bearded cashier adorned in his 80s themed pajama pants (Im 90% sure he lives there. He laughed when I asked him, but I saw the truth in his eyes).P.S. They have really good cameras and know what youre doing in your car. If they like you, or are in a good mood the workers will remind you that they dont judge, but you shouldnt let them see anything they wouldnt want you doing on their property. If they arent feeling so generous, they may call the old red n blue to remind you for them. Id suggest doing these guys a favor and smoking elsewhere. They deal with too much b.s. day in and out to be forced to deal with your addiction. Deal with it elsewhere like us adults do- at 7eleven.

After picking a friend up from the Airport from a VERY long flight they were out of cigarettes and also wanted to pick up a bottle of top shelf alcohol as well as a specific tea along with some other foods as well as a quick bite. Because I live in Coeur dAlene, Idaho I had no idea where to go so I searched for a Convenience store thinking wed get the cigarettes first then go to a grocery store and then to Idaho for Alcohol but Sunset grocery popped up when I asked Google for all of the above thinking Id get two different places to go to on the way East and Google came back with Sunset Groceries. We pulled up and walked in and were greeted with a genuine Hi shocker as were both used to either no greeting or a fake one. We both instantly smiled back and looked at each other and smiled we went to the isle that was obviously cold drinks and was happily shocked they not only had the specific tea but in a large not just a single serving and turned around to find everything and more for food and snacks as well as what they wanted to eat in the car, we approached the counter to see that not only did they have their cigarettes, again with a genuine low key smile and Did You find Everything You needed? and we saw all the liquor bottles behind him and we asked for the top shelf liquor and he said Good choice, were out of the big one, sorry we should be getting it in tomorrow I hope this will do though and we both said absolutely thank you. I will now Forever go back to Sunset Grocery whenever Im in Spokane as it seems like they have a little of pretty much everything and the staff left such a good impression we stopped in on the way back to the airport and had another great experience just buying cigarettes and single serving cold drinks for us. I highly recommend this establishment its kickback, nice with a mix of people of all ages and income level. No judging here it seems they treat everyone as a friend no matter what. Thank you for being awesome staff and customers 👍

Absolutely love this store! It may look a little sketchy during night hours but the atmosphere is actually non threatening and very warm and inviting. The staff is so helpful; they love assisting and providing you with their attention when it’s your turn. This store carries much more different brands than other stores like liquor, wine,bongs, torches, cups, plates, juices, candy etc…. I guess pretty much what other stores have but variety is key to me. I usually go there for something to smoke out of. The staff makes the process feel so private like your the only one in the store and I would like to say thank you for being so Discrete.I really can’t say enough about this store. You will have to experience it for yourself. I hope this helps some because I know of some that will not enter because they feel scared and intimidated but I’m here to tell ya that looks can be deceiving. This store is one of my favorite places to go.

Great $$$ for in-case items (wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more!) & hands down beats anybody elses prices that Ive seen so far. By a lot! Esp. Silicone warez!!If youre not familiar with it as a local or someone who travels to Spokane a lot and its just been there... It can be a little tricky and risky getting in and out of that place depending on which direction youre coming from and which direction youre heading out to if youre not comfortable quick decisions and last-minute full throttle celebrations, then I wouldnt attempt going here during any of the Rush hour moments that occur frequently depending on the hour. 😜Its one of those stores at reminds me of a little family-owned middle of BFE Nowhere but its just outside of campground of a national park kind of store... and they have a little bit of everything for anyone who might need something just like those stores! Only in town rt near a major on/off I-90, gas stations on Maple, etc.You need a cold drink lots of ice? They got it! You need some wood for your firepit & marshmallows for toasting? They got it! Disposable razor, perhaps? They got it! Burner phones (dont quote me on that but Im taking the Big Vegas gamble & say prob do!! 😆) calling cards, cell phone chargers, food, drinks hot n cold, Its also a smokers paradise & theyve got hard liquor to boot! Good lil one-stop place for a convenience store.Other than limited parking in a janky shaped lot with difficult entries and exits to navigate.... ⚠️DO BE WARNED, THERE IS NO🚫⛽GASOLINE‼️ But all in all, a great local stop👊😎🖤

Sunset Grocerys is a super great place to do your quick shopping or more shopping they have just about everything in their store and the staff are polite and friendly parking is OK considering how the parking lot was designed. Whenever I stop there Im in and out and on my way

Friendly service, once you get to know the people there they take the time to get to know you also. And its like you are a part of the family and not just a customer they also will charge your phone for you if you ask them politely. As long as you were respectful to them and their property they dont mind you hanging out for a littlethey just dont like panhandling that much because it actually does drive away their customers.

This place is one of my favorite mini stores to go to. The employees here are always having a good time, smiling. They are extremely nice, to anybody. They help people out when they need it, they understand that the struggle IS REAL.

Its a cool little store that has quite a bit of what you are needing in a pinch. The cashiers were both friendly and polite. The only thing that I was not thrilled with nobody can control and that is the clientele. The only thing you want to do is keep an eye on the ones who made it obvious

Usually friendly service but always a bunch of unwanted inquiries from homeless outside standing around asking for things-mostly money or cigarettes BUT th1e staff there does a remarkable job at nullifying and removing loiterers as soon as theyre aware of them!

Not only does the store smell disgusting, they also dont offer reasonable use of a bathroom. Its one thing to require purchases to use it, but refusing to allow it entirely is bad business.

This store is good and has good prices. There is a massive homeless movement in the area and I was speaking to a lady with a dog that was homeless.in the garbage by the door was a tray of lunch meat salami and I grabbed it out and gave it to her and the dog.a worker walked from behind the counter and went up to me and made me throw it away stating afterward that if I had asked him at the counter if I could take it then he would of said yes.the look on the homeless womans face and her dig was heartbreaking.

They are always nice here. Although this time when I went I had gotten a lighter that was kinda expensive and about 2 hours after getting it the thing stopped working. I know its not the stores fault though

Cashier was good, one of them anyways... (cashier girl looked high AF) The parking lot was horrifying! Drug deals were going down and homeless were everywhere asking for stuff and doing fake push-ups in the parking lot... I waited 10 minutes before I would even walk in. It was scary... had to lock my doors. Yikes! Enforce some safety for the customers please? Covid doesnt scare me, but the parking lot did! Again, cashier (male) was great.

Tip #1 Be prepared to get your s#$t and leave!! Sunset knows they are one of a handful of 24 hour stores, and boy do they run with it!!Tip #2 Dont you dare sit in your vehicle for more than a few minutes after shopping here...the management/security staff assumes that all customers are heathens and loitering after you purchase is done...its becoming ridiculous, Ive been a customer for years now and I would shop elsewhere if I could!Why so rude? Im always polite and pleasant...maybe thats why theyre suspicious! Lol

Best Folks Around Hands Down!!! Cheap Liquor, Smokes, and even something for the kids. Only wish they would carry gas and an air tank for filling tires. But hey, other than that they got everything ya need in a pinch!!! Love this place!!!

The ladies in Sunset are the most helpful polite crew in all of Spokane as far as my wife and I have met. There awesome.They always have a smile for my Angel wife or I and no matter what chaos is happening they always thank you and ask you to enjoy the rest of your day. Well, I wouldnt want my 16 year old daughter to come by herself at night here because there are sometimes extra homeless people that dont understand boundaries. But I love this store, in fact its open 24 hours and was the only place open for me to get Vape juice one night. And the issue was urgent. They also can help you out with snacks of all kinds, and have a lotto ticket machine. Everyone that works there is very kind and helpful.

Aside from the customers that frequent the business I love it.The workers are all friendly and they are courteous even when they have to deal with less then courteous customers who are not exactly sober. I am amazed how well their customer service skills remain in tact.

Not only are their prices ridiculously high but the lady that works on Sunday around swing shift talks down to everyone as if she’s your mother or dictator, she needs to look in the mirror and realize what she looks like before she tries to put others in their place, I’ll never shop here again, the customer is always wrong at this store no matter what says the rood woman behind the counter

Went in to get a bottle of alcohol. Prices are high but thats Washington tax for ya, it feels super crowded inside the store because items are everywhere.

Every person I met there is amazing. There is cashier there that calls me Lopez 😂 I really enjoy going there just cause this guys are always in a good mood. And dont forget the pretty lady thats there, shes awesome.. Way better than any other convenient store where the cashier is always in a crappy mood. AWESOME JOB GUYS.

The employees are friendly, The neighbourhood is rough. Try to go in the daytime. Lock your car. This has nothing to do with the store itself just the neighbourhood. They always well staffed well stocked and polite unless your stealing or doing drugs or Pan handling they will ask you to leave they will call the police and make you leave.

I enjoy this store but I was literally just there, cashed in my tickets and my one was a twenty dollar winner... Which I checked in the lottery app. Anyway I forgot and cashier ended up only giving me $17. So yall might want to look into that one.

Man ..... I cant say enough about this place. First of all they have the flavor a vape juice I like and theyre open 24 hours! Also when I pulled in and got out of the car I noticed I have been followed by a creepy creepy guy. The gentleman working at the store came out and looked around to make sure the guy was gone, and he noticed the guy was parked across the street at the carwash. He made sure the guy was gone before I left and it made me feel very safe and secure. I love the workers they go above and beyond

I have been a loyal customer for years... The young men that work at night are so awesome...the only exception is the newer night manager... Very rude, never engages or says thank you, makes rude comments, its sad because the majority of staff are beyond helpful and cheerful. The newest manager appears to be unhappy and I have personally witnessed him treating regular customers like trash and assuming every person who pulls in to the parking lot is a drug addict, loitering criminal... The owners really need to get a handle on this guy since it will cause good, loyal customers like me and many of my friends who have had similar experiences to take our years of business elsewhere.....

This is probably, if not the one best all around convenience store w/liquor in the Spokane area. Very friendly employees, they actually watch their customers backs. They really enjoy seeing your face and want to know whats going on with you. And, at the same time, keep the small lines of customers moving. They get it done. Ive been going to this establishment for the better half of 10 years its one of my favorite convenience stores in Spokane. Its always something zany going on there. The service is good and I built a rapport with most of the clerks there.

The employees are always friendly. Which is saying something because this place is in Browns Addition and attracts all sorts of unsavoury characters. The place has been robbed an uncountable number of times and yet the employees are always friendly and ready to help.

Cool setup. Very subtle, quite easily able to fund things. Service staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Prices were the norm. No specials, lots of satisfactioy selections.

I love this place because its open 24 hours! Friendly employees and a pretty good walk in cooler with craft beer, cider, and spiked seltzer. Nothing better than getting off work after midnight and knowing I can grab some cold beer on my way home.

Im not giving a great rating due to the complete lack of knowledge the clerks had on a item they sold in store. They are a convenient store as well they carry ecigs,pipes,bongs,ext...I purchased a ecig I was after a temp fix until I had time to go to a specialty store. I ended up paying to much for a useless item. Other than that there a good convenient place to stop for a snack, drinks ext.

Convienient stop and shop for any hours of the day-night. The service is great. Quick and efficient. That always have good deals on your morning coffee and smokes. Park where you can see your car(OUT FRONT) just in case there is a line at the check OUT.

They charged me 9 cents as part of the state movement on plastic bags, only to give me one of those wispy, compostable bags that cant reliably carry items over a single mile walk. Sure enough, the bag was in tatters and I was having to hand carry all of my items halfway home. One of the packages inside had a flat plastic edge, you see (critical stuff, I know).The charge on plastic bags is a sacrifice which consumers are all already making together. Businesses shouldnt be pushing this much of the burden onto individual customers, especially when doing so mostly affects the most disadvantaged ones - those without cars or conveyance.

Great stop for boozy needs and other convenience items. The staff here have a nice vibe and treat you like fam. The area is a little sketch but welcome to DT Spokane.

Sunset is my go to place! Its really not dangerous unless youre trying to make a problem or interact with sketchy people. It is in Brownes addition after all, just consider your surroundings. The clerks are all super friendly and I stop here after work almost every night as a woman alone at 1 or 2 am with no problem

They keep it pretty safe and secure here...they dont let the homeless run the place like other places do, and if you get caught disrespecting their store in any way, youre out on blast ...I like that ..

Sunset grocery has always been really friendly and helpful back when I was homeless they even would plug my phone in and let me charge it as they do for others as well which is really nice because its almost impossible to find somewhere to plug your phone in when youre appearing to be homeless people treat you pretty bad usually but they treat you with complete respect and dignity and I will always appreciate them and do anything I can to help them and Im sure anyone that lives in the area agrees

Chick was friendly and patient with my scattered mind. She hooked it up and I found everything I wanted to have a good evening. I am glad to have a 24 hr business close enough to walk to.

The most genuine, honest, and down right cool A F staff! Tried 2 talk me out of a bottle of AWFU tequila... But rang me up with a smile anyway. TOP SHELF FOLK.. DIDNT EVEN MIND THAT I PUSHED IN MY BIG SCOOTER WITH SPEAKER, TRYING TO KNOCK OVER EVERYTHING WITH MY BACKPACK. .. BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTOOD THEIR CLIENTELE IN THE PARKING LOT WHERE SEEMING LESS THAN REPUTABLE WARRANTED TURNING IT INTO A TEMPORARY DRIVE-THRU. LOL

Usually this place is good. Stopped for milk. Doors locked. Waited 10 plus minutes before l went to gas station down road. Other customers arrived and left too.

Wild Billy Ford ( may he rest in peace)was a frequent patron of Sunset grocery. He enjoyed getting his Copenhagen long cut chewing Tobacco , scratch tickets and always giving the great employees a hard time with his off the wall sense of humor. He will be missed!

Great little convenience store. All the employees rock. The area it is located in is full of sketchy addicts so be aware of your surroundings.

If these folks arent chasing homeless people out of their store, they are completely screwing up your UPS order and not allowing you to take home your mail that was delivered to their UPS Access Point. This is the worst customer experience Ive ever had in Spokane. The women that work here now, although kind people, have no idea what they are doing and their nasty boss was absolutely no help.

This is the only place I go to pick up liquor in the evenings. Their variety of bottle sizes and their prices really cant be beat - especially their variety in terms of single shots. Granted, the building is small and a bit weather-beaten, and the neighborhood isnt ideal, but without those features I dont expect that it would be able to offer me such awesome deals on alcohol.Other cool things to come here for include: Kratom, silicone pipes and oil rigs, glass screens, soda, beer, wine, and unique malt liquors & wine coolers.

Crowded with products small walkways, but super friendly helpful and genuinely happy funny cashier bith times I went on 2 different occasions months apart and 2 different people. So yeah for a quick 1.2.3 item purchase or like me Google Maps to me to that as a Liquor Store lol I would recommend a brief stop and purchase!!

Love this place has everything you need in one spot no bathrooms and it is a sorta bad part of town but the place is my go to unless Im close to my work anyways

Very disappointed in the Fareal machine... At first it seemed like it was just me jumping to conclusions until I was able to observe the quality of actual mixing(if you could even call it mixing) the machine was performing because it didnt even work all that well. I had to hand mix it afterwards as it left all the icecream to sit against the wall of the cup with a void all the way to the bottom.

The only people keeping this store open are drug addicts. The people working here welcome drug deals in front of the store, side of the stores door and in the parking lot. Oh and hey loading your needles and pipes are welcomed too. Druggies begging everyone for money. So unless youre buying or selling drugs, this isnt a store for you. This place is disgusting.

This is your choice for beer, wine, and liquor, with a beautiful staff that cares. Crystal is my personal favorite.

This is a classic neighborhood convenience store. They have good prices and a good variety of products. Definitely recommend going here with the caveat being that there can be some very interesting characters hanging around.

The guys there were my total heroes on so many levels this evening. First off ... I could not find a Vape store in this town open past 8 and I was DESPERATE for some juice for my Vap. And I called around and they had some, I was expecting some gross off brands with POPCORN LUNG causing ingredients, not only did they have name brand top shelf choices but they had my fav brand, NAKED. So I was so excited to get there. On the way a creepy dude fallowed me from the South Hill, even all my turns, and stops at random places just to make sure I wasnt having a full nic fit.... He would hide than when I pulled off there he would be fallowing me all creepy style and wrong. When I pulled into the SUNSET grocery, I was panicked and anxious and the guys calmed me down and made sure the dude was gone and walked all around the store and across the street at the car wash where he was waiting for me, he took off when he saw my hero put his cape on and save the day.To me...... To go the extra mile to make sure I was safe and even go out in that cold weather spoke volumes and was priceless. I think his name was Dublin or some county name, but he was one in a million.Im so happy to have found this little store. Its in a semi rough/transient part of downtown but the service here has always been pleasant people always making sure you found what you needed. Prices are ok can get busy at times.

The staff is always and joyful even though a good majority of their customer base is... How do i put this... Challenging. Grab a quick snack, cold beer and an interesting conversation all in less than 5 minutes.

Everybody Ive asked, regardless of where they line in the city, seems to know this small independent market. They do not have fuel or deli hot case but the do have an accessible location and approachable associates. They Cary the usual selections from Doyles including candy, chips, and misc. goods. The beer and wine selections are diverse and plentiful. Prices are on average and the paraphernalia case complete so unless you need fuel or a restroom...this small market will have at least one viable optipn

Very very friendly staff but quite a bad part of town so quite a few off people hanging around more then fifty percent of the time. But other then location everything else is great!!

Its a liquor store with beer and soda and snacks. Its kinda the Brownes Addiction go to store for smokes and booze so you may see people.who dont look cool, but most of them are pretty cool. the staff is helpful.and the place.sells.disc golf discs if youre thinking about going to Highbridge Park and playing some disc.

Always helpful and nice every time I go, only issue is the loiterers hanging in front of the door or parking lot asking for money.

They bag on drug users and are weary about loitering she come out with a broom stick asking why we were on her property we were just picking up a friend across the alley who had lots of luggage

The cashiers and managers of the Sunset Mart are invested members in the Spokane community, in that, if you need a pack of matches, this might be the last store in the area/state/nation that still believes comp-limentary matches are a polite thank you for being a customer of their eclectic convenience store.It is a nice place to meet ones extra curricular party supply needs and all the while smiles are reflected, instead of belittling glares of judgmental biased ignorant unreal perspectives from individuals capitalizing on the vice they pedal.

Drinks listed and advertised as 2 for 3 dollars were attempted to be sold for 4.80 almost a 100 percent markup. When i brought this to their attention the manager gave me 1.20 back in change. Still shorting me .80 cents. Poor math is one thing but underhanded business ethics is really innappropriate. Will not shop here again.

This is a great mini-mart that has always friendly staff, prices are average for similar stops, good variety of items offered, store is clean, cold and hot drinks, snacks, smokes, alcohol, etc. Parking Lot needs to be repaved. Never seen a homeless person disrespected or abused by employees.

They are not nice i help the homeless. We bought snacks and the man that works there made ne leave he said I looked suspect. We were watching the scene across the street. I will never shop there again.

This store was a 7-11 years ago and it basically remains the same as any other typical convenience store. But the thing is, Sunset Grocery has some stuff for sale that you wouldnt expect at this kind of store. They have a small head shop in there, and a liquor store. They have a huge selection of microbrews and wines. And they even sell discs for disc golfing. I am just writing about that to give an example of some of the surprising stuff this store carries. I like the place.

Exactly what youd expect, its a perfectly simple convenience store with everything youd want for a corner stop. Bonus: they sell disc golf frisbees with a nice course near by to test them at ;)

Other than all the homeless that are around the place they always seem to keep them off the property but they linger they are a safe store to be at. I never feel unsafe especially at night.

Cashier was unfriendly, refused customers use of restroom! Girl behind counter Very rude! Parking lot dirty and Rocky, handicap space is not proper for a disabled spot! Lots of Gang activity! From observation noticed the sell of alcohol to the under age! The Skull Vodka sold in shrunken head size possibly is of higher alcohol percent? Appeared no label on bottles. Unable to locate. 1028. Observed on several occasions while at car wash across the street the sale of alcohol after hours, and loud party in of several gang related persons! Lots of glass drug paraphernalia in large glass case. Lots of traffic. Also, hard to turn left from parking lot. Lots of trash trail goes to under sunset highway business loop to next turnout and lots of illegal aliens and street fighting happening near or under old Iron Bridge! Scary place I try to avoid at all cost!

I left my drivers license on the counter here one time and thought I lost it🙊. They had it out and ready for me the next time I walked in. What a relief! Great people! Thank you! ✌

Magnificent people, great selection of itemss and they love dogs! That is a big plus cuz many. Convenience stores try to exclude ALL dogs, even service dogs, which is just WRONG! But not Sunset Grocery!
