Seems like they are having consistency issues. My 2 chicken tacos look very different from the vibrant and fully loaded chicken tacos other people have ordered when they are dining in. Its pretty disappointing. The chicken sizes and seasoning are also lacking, no real discerning flavor or then salt.
Came in to test food for a wedding. Staff was wonderful! Had the trio of al pastor, chicken and hamburger.Only suggestions I would say is that the chicken was bland and dry(good for those that dont like spice, aka flavor). With the chicken being dry, it made the tacos dry overall with the double tortillas (at home we add cheese between the tortillas) but nothing salsa cant correct.Ground beef was basic. The al pastor was our favorite and had a lot of the pineapple flavor. Not something you usually get a lot of with al pastor but I like tasting the pineapple. Only downsides is that it isnt made traditionally on a vertical spit and it had a lot of juice- normally not a bad thing but remember, this is for a wedding! Im going to need a bib!We splurged on churchs dessert and OMG! I suggested having churros instead of the cake!I did.Delish!!
Love the food and drinks here. I will definitely be back! Our server Maddy was great and always attentive. This place never disappoints on a nice day. Has a great patio for seating. 100% recommend chips & dip sampler with a craft margarita!
I’ve been looking forward to trying this place for a bit but quickly figured out that it’s not worth the hype. The drinks are awesome but the food was lacking. Ordered some of the street tacos which arrived with non-cooked tortillas (seriously it was cold). Got 2 pastor(which was so tasteless that the only flavor was from the pineapple) and 2 papas y chorizo (which literally looked like someone just mashed it together and it has ZERO flavor). I asked for some salsa and lime to add some flavor and the waitress neglects to tell me it’s a $3 upcharge for salsa (even though it’s customary to get salsa even Taco Bell does it) and forgets the limes. I can honestly say if you’re looking for some great Mexican food go anywhere else. I second all the people saying it truly depends on the day you visit dictates your experience.
10/10! The patio is super nice to hangout at. We ordered the happy hour margaritas and chips and dip sampler! Such a fun night with the girls. Our server Maddy and the rest of the staff did not disappoint!
Likely a great bar to hangout at for the younger kids, but the food was only fair. It may be because I grew up in Southern Arizona where we get the real taste of Mexican food. Their Birria tacos taste like BBQ sauce which was very confusing to me. Maybe it’s a spin on traditional Mexican food vs trying to taste like the original?
Such a fun place to relax and have a drink, always clean and the themed drinks are so good. The bartenders on Sunday are awesome, always super chill and can make like any drink you ask for! Both Miles and Rowan always make sunday a great time!!
I had a great experience here! I was craving street tacos, and this restaurant definitely fit the bill. The margarita was good too, and the service was quick. We were here on a Wednesday night, so maybe that makes all the difference, but the atmosphere was pleasant. The pricing felt reasonable.
Great bar for a lovely night out with friends! The atmosphere is exceptional and I had a fun time playing corn hole. The house margaritas for taco Tuesday hit the spot and the service there is always friendly
Went for tacos, but the kitchen was closed. So, we stayed and had a few drinks which were good. The staff was very kind to us even though we were older than their usual clientele.
While in Spokane we decided to visit for lunch. The atmosphere is lovely, clean and inviting.Ordered nachos and birria tacos. YumThe best were the drinks and the gentleman that prepared them. Best cocktails around a must try. If again in the area will stop by.
This place was perfect! Everything we needed for a quick taco stop for two hungry vegetarians. We came in at 4pm on a Monday and it wasnt full but there is a huge patio, a dj booth, and full service bar. It would be awesome to see this place in full action. With great deals on Fried avacado tacos and the chips and dip sampler we got 5 tacos, chips, salsa, queso, and Guacamole for only $30! We will be back for the pickled onions and street tacos!
Shout out to Brandon for being a stellar and sharp with an extra big smile for an amazing service and interaction during my visit. Heck of a dude and gladly to call him the best bartender in town. Keep it up man.
I thought this place was quite refreshing and full of flavor. Reading some of the reviews, other people have not had similar experiences, but I had a great one. I started out with the roasted spicy margarita with jalapeño. Very much to my liking and I had three of them, don’t judge. Then I had the Birria tacos, and I could’ve kept eating those all day. The sauce and the tacos were so juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend the spot
My sister and I literally almost got murdered last night by the bouncer Jacob he and all his huge friends jumped me and my sister and we’re literally only 5 foot, Even after we got threats all night, so we are going to have to contact not only where Jacob works, but where his baby mother works because now that our Lives have been threatened. We have already had to contact lawyers really disappointed that somebody would even have an employee like this. Absolutely absolutely disgusting.
Rice and beans were pretty much awful. Tasted like canned beans and old uncle bens rice. Carne asada tacos were like pot roast tacos soaked in grease. The $7.00 chips and salsa were not good. The salsa was bland and tasted like canned fire roasted tomatoes with no flavor. $90 bucks for a pretty bad lunch. Shrimp and calamari tacos were good. Our server/bartender was nice. Would come here to drink, but not eat.
Showed up for $1.50 taco night, and it is definitely the place to be. The bar was packed, the restaurant was full, so outdoor seating was my only option.... but the fire was a nice touch. The service was good given the amount of people and the food was great, I ate 6 tacos (small) when I typically order 3 from other restaurants. Check it out, you won’t leave disappointed
Two words, college bar. Nice enough. No soul. But thats just my first impression. Decent service and food. The beef tongue tacos were delightful. Went again a second time and got the back sampler and it was all stale crushed chips. Cmon guys Im willing to wait for you to fry up some tortillas to get whole chips.
Do you like waiting in line to get into a bar.... then waiting in line a SECOND TIME to get to the other half of the bar? Boy do I have a terrible place for you!Whatever genius decided to have a line to get out to the patio needs to be immediately fired, and never be allowed to work in any kind of planning capacity ever again. We went to Borracho last weekend. Half our group was out on the patio with plenty of room out there, except there was a big interior line with bouncers to get from inside the bar to the patio. We decided to wait in line and try and get out there. Which might not have been too bad, except for all the bouncers friends which they would allow to repeatedly cut the entire line. Or for all the other people who would blatantly just cut in line without the bouncers doing anything. The entire setup was complete idiocy. All thats out on the patio for bathrooms is a porta-potty, so if you need to use a real bathroom you have to go back into the main bar, then wait in line a SECOND TIME to get back to the patio where your group and all your belongings are. Again all while people cut the line in front of you the entire time.I have never once in my entire life seen a line to get to the patio of a bar. Even if this is a capacity thing for the patio, just open up the entire wall and let people come and go. If its too crowded on the patio people will move back inside the bar. Absolute idiocy. Incompetent management. We dont plan on coming back.
Zach was very welcoming. He made sure that us women patrons felt safe when homeless people were wondering out front acting strange. Zach helped us enter the business safely. Thanks Zach!
I’m a born and raised San Diegian. I grew up with authentic Mexican street tacos in my backyard.Borracho is dope as hell. Good atmosphere, good service, and damn good tacos. To find fantastic, authentic Mexican food on the opposite side of the US is super surprising. This place rivals many of my favorite hole in the wall taquerias back in SD.I’m a sold customer for life. Gonna go out of my way to swing by whenever I’m in town.10/10 would 100% eat again.
First restaurant outing since moving to the area and it did not disappoint! Friendly staff, great service and delicious food! Cant wait to go back and try other options! I had the Birria Tacos, hubby had enchiladas and neither of us shared because we devoured our own plates. I even ate all of my Spanish rice which I never eat!!
Seemed freshly made enough but had zero flavor. The most bland tacos, rice, and beans Ive ever had. Honestly didnt think you could straight up ruin tacos, much less rice and beans...but this place did just that. Wont be back.
Some staff were nice. I really enjoyed the patio, and the music was great. I ordered carne asada tacos, and they were not what I expected. I dont know what piece of beef was used, but it wasnt carne asada.
I really love Borracho I like the food all the service it’s amazing respectful and they take care of the customers I like the food drink and I like them how they smile when we get the food or anything they doThank you for all great teams working there you guys are the bestThank you (Maddy)
Great happy hour food choices and drink choices. Patio is huge and service is really good|prompt, even outside. Chorizo street tacos are big and delicious.HH prices are incorrect on cards on the table, so be aware you will get charged a little more than what they have listed for street tacos and drinks.
Service was great and they were accommodating for a big group. But the food was horrible. We came for a team dinner and our entire team was sick the next day. We all ordered different items and suffered from food poisoning (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) the next morning.
Really amazing ambiance with the dialogue de los muertos skulls, and luchador masks. The service was fast, albiet not the most friendly. Food was awesome. I had the shrimp tacos, avocado fries, and chicherones. So good. Seems like a great outdoor space when the weather is right. Also, looks like a great venue for night life.
Very unique setting, with all of the sights & sounds from the Downtown area. Staff were very attentive and quick with both food & drinks. Menu is well rounded and very well done. It reminds you of a small Mom and Pop Mexican Cantina in Mexico. Thank you for your hard work with all that is going on in todays world!
The food was great and the atmosphere was fun with the music and art. There was a minor mistake with our food but our server was prompt to resolve the issue. All the staff was properly wearing their mask and they had adequate spacing between tables which was nice to see. Will definitely be returning.
Love this place, the staff at Borracho are my favorite. DJs are always playing great music. Thanks for the great time.
Really enjoyed the nachos and enchiladas! What we enjoy is the service. The food is very delicious,The servers are fun and friendly.
I went in for lunch and had a great experience. Zach behind the bar made my visit great. He was very personable and made my lunch better with conversation.
Ordered food via Doordash. Totally get they were busy due to Cinco de Mayo. Apparently, because of the event, they were running a limited menu. I understand that. BUT, they should update their menu to reflect that, not wait until the driver has waited 20 minutes and my food is supposed to be on the way, to say they only can make 1 out of 5 items ordered, then be rude to the driver. Busy times happen. Prepare accordingly, in advance and be kind to others trying to make thing work. Sad and disappointed. Food here is usually great. The rudness to the driver was inexcusable. 😔
Honestly should’ve just walked out from the start. The host who sat us didn’t give us any menus so we sat and waited for our server for about 10 minutes with no menus. Then we go to order drinks and wanted an opinion from our server as it was our first time at this establishment, the server was super unhelpful and clearly knew nothing about then menu or drinks. We FINALLY got our drinks which for the price were extremely small and not very good. Then planned on ordering however no one bothered to even check on us ONCE in a whole HOUR. Even had to go hunt someone down for my check 🙃. There’s a clean lack of management. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and will not be returning.
This review is when they shift from a restaurant to a club at night. As a club they have a notorious reputation. My biggest issue for never settling foot there is they hire security guards who meddle in patrons conversations.
Food was terrible. I had a hair in my taco and asked the waitress if we could be refunded for the meal, but they still charged us. We asked if we could order something else but they said we’d have to pay for that plus the taco with the hair. Service sucks and food was nasty.
Food was just OK but very oversalted. Service wasnt bad, just lackadaisical. Only got part of my order and never got my drink. When servers wandered by, they were nice. They werent busy so Im not sure why it was so problematic.
I was expecting the atmosphere here to follow in the cliche type of scene but was pleased to find the menus trending in a contemporary direction with emphasis on simple appatizers, exciting drinks and decent prices-- while still keeping with local Spokane/comfort convention. My favorite dish at Barrachos, in fact, was the tacos loaded with fresh ingredients and simple but exciting flavors. The bathroom situation needs some help, with lines sometimes extending all the way to the dance floor and never ending. Overall this is the best Spokane bar scene in my opinion and everyone should experience Taco Tuesday. #bar #cocktails #restaurant
If you want a comfortable and laid back atmosphere this is your place! Definitely get the chips and dip sampler it is sure to please everyone! The drinks are good however both times we’ve been here the frozen drinks have been out of service which has been a bummer. The birria tacos are super greasy which was disappointing and made them extremely unenjoyable.
The service and the atmosphere of the place was great!! The food tasted amazing and it will definitely be a place that I’d go back to often.
Service was amazing. They were super friendly and quick. The tacos were amazing! I Will definitely be back next Tuesday.
I love Burrachos! Zach is the sweetest and always makes sure me and my sisters are taken care of. 😊
Tacos were amazing The fajita platter is huge and the Margherita has are great also the service is even better I was not happy with something and did not even have to mention it more than once and was immediately compensated and given great service outdoor seating is a plus and regardless of the rumors they take safety very seriously
This place has 12 visible TV monitors that have nothing to do with the establishment. The owner sees that they have one bartender and one hostess. I ordered a gin and tonic. I waited for 45 minutes to get any attention from her. They are 4 people here. The bartender is absolutely lovely. The screens are very boring. They should show up front whats the special and what they want you to buy. This is not just a foodie place but people want drinks. I have been without attention for 40 minutes. My drink was empty 30 minutes ago.
My server was amazing and she recommended me the house Marg. It was super good and the music was a vibe.
Walked in and waited to be sat down, had a big crew ready to put away some food. No one helped us at all finding a table or anything, so we found a table on our own. After about 15 min of waiting we decided to get the hell out of there. Oh and I went to the bathroom and there was someone doing drugs. So that was pretty cool I guess…wouldn’t recommend unless that’s your thing
Great food & atmosphere. Our server Madison was great and helped make it the perfect night out!!
Disclaimer: there was another half to this burrito and more chips, but I was over zealous and dug in before taking this pic!The shrimp and bacon burrito (mouth watering yet?) was so delicious! The Full Moon cocktail was decent too! I would recommend giving this place a shot if youre in Spokane and feeling like some good Mexican food. 👍
Popular restaurants often die by their own popularity. The quality has gone down here. Ordered on Uber Eats after having dinned at the store. I enjoyed the food and experience in the past. Delivery was not the restaurant quality at all. My 2 taco & rice beans combo arrived beat up in the oversized foil container. All the ingredients were mixed up. It looked like it was put together haphazardly. Even though my Uber driver waited while my food was made to order, it still arrived 5 minutes later cold and stale. I requested utensils. None arrived.
6-1-22 Quite the place high tables & chairs so you can either sit or stand. Multiple big screen TVs each tuned to a dif channel, one was view of otters at a zoo. Nice interior opened out into outdoor dining. Great staff. Dont know the name of what I got but it was smaller than what I expected for the price.. but not to despair... it was delish and well worth the price after all. Id recommend this place any time. I had the chicken, street taco.Note the innovative doorstop, see if you can find it.7-19-22 Ok learn something new, not a door stop, this was put in so people could open the door with their foot without touching it with their hand. Still, can you find it?
I ordered a top shelf drink, set it down for a moment to get my phone from my jacket and the staff threw my drink away. When I brought it to their attention they told me that if they made a new drink for anyone who complained they wouldn’t make any money. And then rolled their eyes and ignored me. As someone who has worked in the service industry for 25 years and been a club DJ for over a decade in Austin, Texas, the service and attitude was absolutely atrocious and along with the trashy atmosphere, I will not being going back. Nothing about this establishment or its staff is classy or quality by any means. I high recommend going anywhere else. This is the last place I’ll be visiting ever again in Spokane.
Great atmosphere & fun people!! We love Becka she was the best bartender
Came in for a couple of drinks and a few rounds of corn hole. Zach was incredibly helpful and made our night enjoyable!
One of the first things I noticed when I pulled up the menu here was the number of items unavailable. Not sure whats going on, but I counted 8 unavailable items on a not too busy Wednesday night. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The venue had a good vibe with indoor seating as well as a quite large outdoor patio. Lots of TVs inside the bar area. We sat inside and my only complaint was that we were bothered by a hoard of pesky flies throughout our dining experience, which may or may not reflect the cleanliness of the establishment. I ended up searching their public health inspection records... and well... lets just say this place isnt the cleanest. But anyways, moving on to the actual food! I ordered the birria tacos:The GOOD - consommé was flavorful and the meat was nicely seasoned and moist. The BAD - inside the taco is just meat and cheese. I was hoping for at least some simple standard side toppings like lime, onion, and/or cilantro for a pricey $6/taco (for reference I have a go to birria place in Seattle, but a birria taco there costs only $3/taco). Another con was the hard undercooked side of rice consistent with some other reviews here. The UGLY - both corn tortillas were heavily burnt on one side of the taco and soggy on the other...luckily dipping it in consommé was able to help mask some of that burnt flavoring, but it shouldnt have to in the first place. In conclusion my overall rating is 2/5. Minus one star for the value (although happy hour or taco Tuesday deals look to be fair value), minus one star for the serving of burnt food and undercooked rice, and minus one star for cleanliness and number of menu unavailabilities.
Horrible service. Ignored my partner and I because we did not order drinks or very much food. We are new to the area and thought the place looked cool and decided to check it out, assuming it would be more spanish based vibes and geniuine tequilria, but it’s more sports bar for the local college kids. It could flourish but we will not be returning because of the treatment we recieved. We also paid over 30$ for six small serving tacos and two soft cokes. Overpriced. I don’t plan on recommending to anyone.
Loud music made conversation hard to hear, but then when the live music started, it could have turned up a little. Service wasnt horrible, but a little more attention could have been paid with the number of employees available vs. how few customers there were. I loved the salsa, thankfully because you have to pay for it along with the chips. Our meals were average, and rice was dry. My plate was supposed to have another side per the menu, but it was missing. I had a specialty drink and it seemed small for the price compared to other places. It was good though.I would definitely visit again to try the street tacos, but it isnt somewhere I would purposely make the hour drive from home for.
Service good for a Thursday afternoon, the chef split an appetizer into two plates for us which was very thoughtful. I usually go there to have tacos and drinks on Tuesdays, which is always a good time. But if you just want to have work beers and lunch on a random Thursday, its a nice place to go that wont drain your pockets.
It was okay the street tacos were really the only good thing but my wife and went and the salsa was very bland, the quesabirria broth tasted like Tabasco Chipotle flavor. The Cheerios just so over done with cinnamon and just not good. If you wanted to go here Id recommend going during happy hour and get $2 dollar Taco
Refused to allow our service animal in the restaurant. Forced our party of 6 to be outside in 98-degree weather.
The food was cold when it finally came out. Even when a fresh plate was brought out, it was just warmish. The carne asada was just ok. And the potato & chorizo taco was just not edible for me. The best part of the meal was the queso (which came out at the right temperature) & chips.
This place caught our eye after the restaurant we were trying to go to listed the wrong hours on their website (and Google for that matter.) I had 4 tacos and they were excellent. We had the chips and dips as an appetizer and each had a margarita. No complaints from us whatsoever. Nice decor and quick service. Friendly bar staff. Will definitely return again.
In all honesty I enjoy borrachos because of the vibe with friends but this time Im really disappointed in the service. They have a rule for cover fee starting at 11 pm on Sat and weekends, story is my friend and I were in line waiting to get in and we were the next in line to go in as well as the first one they were trying to charge us at 10:58pm. The sad part was, after we had decline, the group of 7 white girls right behind us were let in for FREE afterward. I get it, its cuz we asian
Kicked us out because our friend had to throw up in their bathroom. Full of a bunch bros and kids who just turned 21. Go support cochinita or something instead
Absolutely delicious and lovely to sit outside on a nice day. The service was amazing!
Great food and a killer vibe! Love the patio on a sunny weekend!
Bartender named Zach always makes the best drinks and has the quickest service
Borrachos has such a fun and chill atmosphere! The food is also amazing!!!
Great hidden gem in Spokane. Food service atmosphere, was amazing.
The food was tasty. Not the best Mexican I have had in town but still good. Drinks were really good. Nice staff.
Great tacos. Definitely wanna try more of them. However I thought their frozen margaritas were way to sweet for my liking! Which is odd cuz other places are normally to strong for me
Awesome people, great service. Wonderful outdoor seating
I have not been there for the restaurant, but the dancing on weekends has been awesome! The DJ plays a good mix of top40 and afrobeats.the drinks are always great as well. Definitely my go to spot.
Would you like your drink spiked? Yea, I didn’t think so. Save yourself the trouble. Don’t come here!!No one cares about security. No one cares about patrons safety clearly. Try one of the other many spots of Spokane, not worth it.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered a taco salad and my brother ordered a wet burrito. Both were tasty but the portions seemed a bit small for the price. Visited during the middle of the day so the restaurant was mainly empty but Im sure its got a great atmosphere in the evening.
FYI, they take videos from their dance floor for their social media! I guess if you decide to dance there, you have decided to dance for the public view on social media and let everyone in spokane know where you are and what you are up to!That’s not cool in my eyes but I’m sure it’s fine for a lot of people!
I went on a Sunday afternoon to check out this popular taco place. They were blaring base driven pop music both inside and out despite the fact it was mostly empty. The street taco was good, the quesadilla was ok. Neither was great, but they were pretty cheap. The skull decor is creepy. Servers were good. I dont think I would go back even for free tacos. If youre a college student with absolutely no sense or life experience who enjoys overwhelming sensory experiences that make clear thought impossible, you might enjoy this place.
You have to wait in line when you’re already inside the bar to get to the patio. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. Don’t come here.
Overall, its not a bad place for drinks (very tasty and strong)Mexican style food? Thats the question. Ive never had canned cheese served to me and claimed as queso (real cheese with proper seasonings).Service was just ok. The server was not very attentive.Loud... golf bros group showed up and basically took over the whole place.Would I go back and give it a try my next visit, yes; I always give a place a second chance. I hope its better next time. Also, the FLYS 🪰.... wow so many 🪰
Horrible experience. Horrible staff. Horrible bartenders. The drinks are basic and overpriced, the food is bland, and the staff have horrible attitudes. Don’t waste your money. I spent a lot of money and was treated like a peasant when the staff messed up. Go literally anywhere else.
The prices are wild, I guess they’d be acceptable if the food quality was better. $18 for two birria tacos and 3 bites of rice. Birria was essentially tomato sauce in a tiny saucer. Boyfriend got 2 street tacos and added rice and beans, they were the babiest tacos we’ve ever seen; we had a laugh about it. No refills on soda. $40 later and we’re still hungry. Service was good, nothing bad to say about the guy who helped us.
Only one vegetarian taco option when I was there - they were out of the fried avocado and didnt know if/when theyd get more which was a bummer. The veggie taco was okay, kinda bland, but the taco size for price ($4) seemed a little high for a tablespoon of veggies on a corn tortilla. Very nice staff and a fun location/vibe
If you want Authentic Mexican Tacos this isnt the spot. The tacos look the part, but dont taste the part. Save your $4 dollars and look for an authentic spot.If you want drinks this space looks well suited. Solid vibe and ambience. Service is friendly. Although they got my order wrong. Veggie option was good. Chorizo and papas was dry and salty. Al pastor was salty.Wouldnt come again for food. Yes for drinks.
Our waitress was training a new girl, but wasnt able to tend to our group even though we were the only ones there. She also got constantly confused, wasnt able to keep track of orders, made rude excuses and lastly ignored most of the table. We are polite guests passing through, and will ensure not to come back.
Absolutely delicious. Burrito, salsa, queso, chips. All amazing. Would like to see Riazul among the tequila selections. And as always, I’d recommend a pinball machine (or 3). But despite no pinball, it’s a very good atmosphere. Great service. Overall an A+ experience. Highly recommended.
Overpriced awful food and so loud I couldn’t understand the person I was dining with but never had faster service in my life
I would consider this to be a sports bar atmosphere, great atmosphere. Good food, had great flavor and a large portion for the cost. The downside was a few of the servers had a alcoholic beverage before starting their shift and Were quite honestly a little annoying. This did take away from the experience overall.
The food was okay, and the waitress was friendly, but everyone else was not very attentive. Sign at the door says to wait to be seated, but no one ever came. The staff at the bar didnt seem to want to be bothered. Its just a little strange and wont be back.
Had a great time! super fun place :)
Love the outdoor patio. Margaritas were.... Not the greatest. Like Margaritaville pre mix/well tequila. All around great hangout. Quick service with large clean patio. Also appreciated the security there. Went late so I wasnt able to get tacos but taco truck across the street saved the day.
Came in yesterday and their Uber system was down. The FOH snagged the order from my tabby and expedited the customers order in simple minutes for a quick finish to delivery. True professional performance in this house!
Great taco place! Their avocado street taco, in particular, is amazing! The Barbacola is listed as sweet and spicy, so I was always leary to try it until today. Its not spicy to the point that its hot, just enough to play on the sweet taste. Ive tried all their street tacos aside from these two previously, and none of them disappointed. Hands down best place for street tacos in Spokane. Not too loud with music, and the service was good. Waitress watched for when we might need service and didnt just stop mid bite, lol.
The worst bar in Spokane!!! My group was there for over an hour spent over $600 on drinks for our group. My husband and I went to use the restroom and your bouncers wouldn’t let us back into the bar area. My whole group had to leave because they wouldn’t let us back to our group. Your bouncers then began to be racist towards me and my husband saying just because we’re white we can’t just let you back there. My group was diverse. It is unacceptable. I will never be back and I will be sure to spread the word about this place. Terrible service. Terrible bouncers. You can’t kick someone out for using the restroom. My group had to collect my belongings because I wasn’t allowed to return to my seat. I should be refunded the amount I spent on drinks my group wasn’t allowed to finish.
Worst customer service and bartenders I’ve ever dealt with. Absolutely trashy atmosphere and trashy staff. I will never be wasting money at this place ever again. Absolutely worthless.
Great outdoor patio. Good St. Patricks day crowd.
Post your food hours… IF Ya’ll gonna stop serving food at specific times POST that on your pages so people don’t spend time and money…don’t recommend that this place at all
Ive been here a handful of times and every single time the service is horrible. I came in and was told to sit anywhere and had no service for 30 minutes after walking up twice and asking servers. The last time I was here my server never came back once and I had to go to the bar and ask for silverware and she yelled at me well did you ask your server!? Like she never came back and you have to ask for silverware for dinner!?? Absolutely worst place and has never got better.
I had the Al Pastor and Chorizo street tacos. Both were dry with poor flavour. The low fat version? I even thought for a moment they served me vegetable tacos when I first tried the Al Pastor. Bready, dry, no flavour. And the chorizo very salty. However that said, two friends ordered the wet burrito and enjoyed them. Also, the service was very poor (to the point of several individuals being repeatedly ignored at 5pm in an almost empty place). And they charged me $3.50 each on the clearly labelled $3.00 taco tuesday price. Perhaps I didn’t ask specifically for the taco tuesday pricing? It seems very petty.
Great place! Food was great...The bartender is not only handsome but accommodating of father whom has a rough time with decisions (dementia). Will be back!
I hired Borracho to cater a 60 person party. Kelly did an excellent job. Food was great and plenty of it, brought out on time, lots of compliments from the guests, everything went flawlessly. Tracy tended bar and was fantastic. Great job!
Our street tacos seemed dry but the nachos were amazing
These guys are not very nice. I understand that working at a bar, you probably have to have a hard shell, but making girls cry is going a little too far. And it sounds like from last reviews they’ve gone much farther than that… They’ve literally made me cry asking for my ID. I’ll admit, I am a sensitive person. So, if you’re also a sensitive person, DO NOT go here. Also, they overcharge!!!
It had potential but didnt live up, quite! The street tacos were good but not great. The guacamole was fresh and good! Craft Margaritas could have packed a better punch! Our service was slow, from an under-staffed crew, this night. We liked the bar atmosphere and louder, fun music.
Not a bad place, probably can be annoying for someone who doesnt like loud music, though it was from a DJ, while I was here, dunno if its a regular thing. The loudness can get in the way while ordering, depending on the song.Drink was alright, majority of their specialities are tequila, which isnt surprising, so if youre fine with those you shall be good.Food, I had the burrito, which was good, well made and didnt fall apart easy to eat with hands. Salsa is pretty good too.
Wanted to go out drinking to this establishment with friends on Thursday May 19th after seeing a “Safe Space for all” poster on its window. We were screened by the door guy, that went fine so my friends and I went to go get drinks.Within 5-10min of being there a group of men profiled my friends and I because we were clearly queer and decided to lie to the bar tender about us being to intoxicated. We were wrongfully kicked out as we had not a single drop of liquor in us.
The vibe was cool... Waitress could have been a little nicer or friendlier but the place had it going on. I had a fuego pineapple drink and long island and they were both good. The Birria tacos could be a bit crispier but the taste was good, I had a side or rice and beans too and they were meh... Overall the place was pretty legit. Great art all over... love the shirts I bought! My favorite was the I would hit that pinata shirt lol! Would recommend! If I could add something, selling your merch/shirts on your delivery places would be cool... Also maybe having a day out of the week where they are at a discount might not be a bad idea unless its already a thing.... Or even during happy hour... Thanks for replying oxoxoxox
The Birra tacos were discusting. We all shared a bean dip they had on the menu and my boyfriend and all his friends got violently ick right after eating there. Also we got served out drinks that we ordered and the server never came back to help up we literally had to chase her down in the restaurant to order more drinks and our food. If you are looking for a hip Mexican place with good drink stay far away from this place🤮
There were about 3-5 other patrons in the bar and yet we had the slowest service I could imagine. Waitress looked and acted stoned, which might be why my friend ordered a beer when I received one, and didnt get his until 20 minutes later, and after I had already finished my beer. I decided not to ask for another because I didnt want to wait another 15+ minutes. It was decent food, decent beer, but I definitely wont be back.
Its an okay environment food is okay. Service kinda sucked. Seemed like she couldnt keep up. Other then that. Okay
They had 7 tables and 6 people at the bar, two servers and a dedicated bartender. Service was so slow we left before we got our drinks.Reply to owner -Okay?
Gracie ... was my waitress, today from 1-4 Im not sure the exact time I went in. She was rude. She did not inform me I could do a takeout order, tho I went and looked it up online and came back she didnt let me have the 3$ taco Tuesday, made m pay the 4 because I wasnt dining in .... I give her a 0 star if I could. The food is amazing. Tho on the billboard outside it says the tacos are 3$ and inside they are 4$.
Pleasant atmosphere, great snacks and good time had by our group.Im glad we had the opportunity to try the place, as everyone else (especially across the street) has wussed out due to the annual PNW smoke. We sat indoors and it was fine.Great time was had by the whole group. Thanks!
Heard good things about this place but very disappointed when I visited. Went around 5:30, the happy hour was underwhelming for drinks. Got the chips and dip on happy hour, the chips were unsalted and so bland and the salsa tasted bitter. Queso was pretty good but the guacamole needed some seasoning to make it edible. Birria tacos not really authentic, they were too big and had little to no flavor. Consomme was alright but thick like soup, that had pretty good flavor and some spice. Daytime bartender made weak drinks, when the night shift got there I ordered another and it was actually decent. I expected more from this place, but not surprised that it was disappointing.
Tacos and tequila, whats not to love. The whole place has a cool vibe. They have outdoor patio seating that seemed chill. The selection of tequila is great, from mild to wild. They have a great selection of Margaritas as well.
Food was great, but what isnt great is charging a different amount then what was on the receipt and then saying youll look into it and never responding or rectifying the situation. You cant expect to keep customers if youre going to steal their money- even after they tip.
I was pretty disappointed with this place. Charged me 9 dollars for Juanitas chips, canned queso, pretty bland salsa, generic guacamole. I also got the quesadilla. The chicken was good but the shredded Mexican cheese was not melted. It all just felt like something I could make in my kitchen.
Very unprofessional. 21 year olds are very clearly favored (with fake id’s). Mullet guy let’s in well known underage girls the second they bat their eyelashes at them.
Love the outdoor atmosphere. I enjoyed margaritas music and fun clean space. Attentive staff. My girlfriend & i arrived 5min before kitchen closed hungry and tired they still accommodated our meals without rushing us. Now thats service 🙏
Being from out of town this place was suggested by a co-worker for a meet and greet and was not disappointed. The chips and queso was to die for, very creamy and rich with just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. Also had the 4 cheese nacho, OMG it was huge, excellent distribution of the ingredients across the entire plate, seemed the every chip had something on it.I had the burrito which was very flavorful and stuffed. I followed my co-worker and ordered a local beer River City Brewing I believe it was, a light colored beer called Girlfriend something. This was the highlight of the evening. Was the best beer I ever had, so tasty with a heavy bitter taste, was amazing.
They catered my wedding on June 18th, 2022. After having my original caterer become extremely unprofessional and unreliable, I called Kelly and she was able to get us booked. We had never ate here but we went down for our tasting and when I say everything was amazing, Im not joking! EVERTHING was amazing! During our wedding they were so amazing and everyone raved about how amazing our food was!If your looking for a taco bar for your wedding, you cant go wrong with them! Kelly is so professional and so easy to work with!
Went for happy hour with my girls, had a good time because of them BUT the service was LACKING. Not only did our server rarely check in with us to refill our drinks and waters, or check on food, but she charged each of us for drinks we never ordered AND spilled our drink empty’s on my friend. The server said she was going to pay for one of my friends drinks because she spilled the tray on her...but didn’t and instead charged her for a drink she never got. Out of the three of us, I was the only one who spoke up about the error but all of us noticed; and when I did say something, the server told me I must be confused because we ordered from her AND the bar. I had to remind her that when I ordered a margarita and more chips...she didn’t bring them and went on a hiatus, when she finally returned our table had to remind her. Just because I tell you twice about one margarita doesn’t mean you charge me twice for one drink 🤦🏽♀️Happy hour drinks were tasty, the happy hour food was tasty, but I probably won’t be back ever because of the poor service, the underhanded over charging, and overall lack luster experience.
Love their tequila! So many options and the drinks are always done correctly. The quesadilla appetizer is my favorite but all of the food is really good. One of the waitresses is very sweet! The only down side is the food service can be a bit slow at times (although it is usually packed so I dont blame them!)
Stop by here for some Lunch. The bar was clean and inviting. The inside has plenty of tables and booths for seating and chairs along the entire bar. The bartender and servers were all very friendly and the service was quick. I had 4 street tacos. 2 beef, chicken, and pork. The meat was tender and moist and I topped them with their house hot sauce. The hot sauce was spicy and good. They also have an outdoor sitting area that is amazing, it takes you away and makes you fill like you somewhere fancy. The restrooms where clean. The bar is nice and has flat screens along the entire length of it, which would be great for Sunday Football.
I’m not one to usually leave reviews, but I had to this time. The environment was nice, but we went with a large group. It took about 25 min to order, another 30 to get the food, and then we were waiting to get out and get our check for nearly another hour. Our server came to our table about 3 times in the two hours we were there. Extremely poor service, and I’m thinking it’s because she got automatic 18% gratuity based on the size of our group. The food was subpar. My rice and beans were cold when they got to the table, and the enchiladas were dry.If you want to go to a place and pay for overpriced mediocre food and receive poor service, come on in. You’ve been warned.
You gotta love Borrachos. Great atmosphere to hang out with friends, or meet new people. Bartenders are very attentive despite heavy crowds, and drinks are average in price. The outside section of the bar is roomy with a lot of seating, plus the food is pretty good too. Great place to go if havent been already.
Super clean. Super nice staff.A variety of tequilas and drinks. Good cocktail menu.A good atmosphere to chat with friends. Sometimes theres even a DJ spinning music. The only drawback is the kitchen closes ar 10pm. But there are other bars that serve food within walking distance. Just plan your night accordingly.
Came in for beers with a friend and this place absolutely rocks. Our barkeep/waiter Jason was phenomenal, nice, and on point the whole time, the bar does a convenient no-hassle checkout system where if you open a tab with a card they return it immediately, prices were reasonable, and they do a great happy hour. Thats pretty much a perfect bar as far as Im concerned.Highly recommend and will definitely be going back again myself. Especially for happy hours.
Drinks are good, great atmosphere. Always crowded on weekends (when I typically go). The music is usually great too! The outdoor patio is a very nice place to hangout and remove yourself from the huge inside crowd, yet still be a part of the party.
Taco Tues and Margaritas are Amazing!! Stellar Service from the wait staff. I will be back even when the tacos are full price. They were quite tasty. We got the chip and dip sampler as well. The salsa and guacamole or excellent but the queso lacks flavor. All in all a Great experience.
Really good food. The hostess was amazing. The wait staff wasnt very friendly and probably had a rough go if things. Overall a good experience. We will go again and my guess it will be a great experience all around.
Not bad. Ordered some food from here with my family members for Cinco de Mayo a couple weeks back, and it was alright. Had the nachos and chips and dip sampler for appetizers, and I had their chicken burrito and pozole. The burrito was decent, but nothing special. The pozole was really good, though! Service is alright, but it does feel a bit rushed. Overall, this place is alright but it wasn’t anything special.
I probably wont go back... While not the worst restaurant experience Ive had, it wasnt good at all...I ate here with my mother and a friend on Taco Tuesday. We were sat at a broken table on the patio (the table top wasnt secured to the base, so it was like a seesaw, when you pressed on one side, the other side would go up about 6 inches on the other, enough to spill drinks). When we got our drinks, my friends beer glass had a major chip in the rim (enough to cut your lip if you werent paying attention), and my moms glass had lipstick on the rim. They also were filled to about 2 below the top.I ordered street tacos (one of each flavor) they came out very dry, and one of them tasted like cat food (I know it wasnt cat food, but that was the flavor)Our server must have gone on break, because we ended up giving our payment to a different server. Then our original server came back with another bill, which created a lot of confusion. They ended up losing my debit card for a while but eventually found it.This restaurant has a great location, its just too bad the experience and food wasnt better.
I’m from VA went to Spokane on business. Ima tell you I wasn’t pleased with any of the food I ate. I got a wet burrito it was dry. Paid $2 for it to be drenched in queso. It wasn’t drenched and it was nacho cheese.
First time eating here and I had to send my food back. I ordered the shrimp tacos, unfortunately my beans, rice and tacos were cold. The shrimp was rubber, for $19 I would expect at least some effort into the food. Waitress wasn’t very friendly after I complained which made me uncomfortable.
Had a great atmosphere! Really hip and had great drinks. We got an enchilada and some tacos and they were very yummy, but they had a wildly spicy sauce on them! Wish we had been forewarned. Next time we go we will just ask not to have the green sauce on anything! Everything else was great. The wait staff were very nice, but moved slowly.
Perfect place to be.I had street tacos and WOW! Pollo were my favorite. Nice spice. They were just great. Good service. Big open windows. Great music. Monday night and quiet. Easy walk from Double tree. Partner had 3 enchilada dinner. Very pleased. Definitely go again.
We had a very large group of people for dinner and drinks. We took 3 tables and pushed them together so we could all sit together. A very rude male employee came over and told us we couldnt move tables and had to sit at the high tops, which didnt accommodate our group. We had to split our group up into 2 groups and sit separately. We had 1 drink and left. We will not return.
If I could give it no star I would. Service was horrible got our nachos before our drinks no water or anything. Nachos were cold loaded with beans and olives. Hardly any steak and it cost more. Plate they gave me was clearly not clean and had a hair on it. Would never recommend to anyone! Waste of money! Oh and the beer was warm.
I really liked the SW egg rolls, but the shrimp salad had too much dressing. Got my order to go, but the time I was waiting for my food was good, because the staff was super nice and helpful. Plan on going back for Tuesday tacos when I visit the area again. Will say the music is loud, so be ready for that.
I’ll start with the pros: love the patio and enjoyed a nice evening with coworkers. The staff was nice too. However, the food is definitely pricey for what you get. They charge for chips and salsa, which is always a bummer since most Mexican restaurants offer that for free. I was also asked if I wanted rice and beans with my tacos, to which I said yes since that also typically gets included with an entree. A small side of rice and beans -they call it their “make it a meal” option- cost an extra 4 bucks. So even though the food was decent and the atmosphere was great, I felt pretty nickled and dimed for my food
The food was good, but was a little overpriced for the portion size IMO. The tortillas were very good, likely made in house, and the carne asada was tender and tasty. The salsa and guacamole were also delicious. Our server was friendly, but very distracted by the table of ladies behind us. One of our party received his meal after we had all finished eating, another sent her tortilla soup back because it was cold. Lastly, when I got my bill I realized the beers were $6 each! I spent as much on 2 drinks as I did my entree. Good (overpriced) food, and bad service.
Maybe they have good tacos? I dont know. My husband and I went in with our baby and was informed the entire area is bar area, they dont have a sectioned off area for minors ... Like most restaurant/bars do. Warning to taco loving parents, if you want to eat here it will cost you extra because you have to hire a babysitter.
Ordered Tortilla Soup and a Wet Burrito with ground beef via Door Dash on 16 Apr 2022.Tortilla soup was fantastic, but the wet burrito was just a tortilla with rice - and only rice - in it. Infuriating for a $16 meal.Cant recommend the place until they make what they advertise and what the customer orders.
The Birria Tacos are killer! Surprisingly, went in on a Friday night and from the time we ordered, had food on our table within 10 minutes. Will definitely be back soon!
Approached bouncer with concerns of under-aged attendees ( concerned about young ladies safety) , he posted no concerns while talking his shirt off to make a show of himself. Very unprofessional.
Decent tacos and chips, but compared to what else is available in Spokane and Spokane Valley, not exactly worth the prices. The atmosphere is trendy, the music is modern, and their outdoor seating area is spacious, but not picturesque. It gets busy at night, and seems to attract a young, college aged crowd. If youre looking to have fun and be around lots of people and dont mind downtown noise, its decent, but if you want a relaxing dinner Id go elsewhere.
Had shrimp tacos and my guys had burritos. Strawberry Pinacolda was not what I remembered. Very boozy not as much coconut or Strawberry flavor. The fresh chicharones were good. Chips were stale. Service was ok. Never refilled water as well. She always walked away before we could make our requests at one time constantly having to come back.Food was warm.
If you are looking for a bar that serves good Mexican food this is it.I have been here several times and have had a good experience each time.I enjoy the burritos the most, my favorite being the fajita burrito. I also love the tacos though. They also bring you chips and salsa while you wait for your food. This place is located downtown so it can be difficult to find parking sometimes but there is a lot next door you can pay for.I recommend this place for a good dinner.
Chips were greasy. Enchiladas were dry (how?). Black beans were too salty to eat. Rest of food was just average. The waitress was a dingbat and the manager had a deer in the headlights look. Three of the four meals were $7 or less and we still paid over $80. Definitely do not recommend.
Food, booze, service were all on point. I had a bacon & shrimp burrito, others with me had about every taco on the menu, and another had this crunch wrap on steroids looking thing, as well as some queso and avocado fries. We cleared all plates. Even the light eater. Liked it so much my wife bought a shirt. The shirt was also awesome so theres that. Easily the best non traditional mexican weve had in Spokane and weve tried a lot. Dont hesitate. Go here. Well definitely go back, and we live over an hour out.
I loved the atmosphere and drinks! The food and service, not so much. The food was cold, the rice was undercooked, and the beans were from a can! The meat had decent flavor but nothing to get excited about.Ok, so the service... I was unimpressed by it! Maybe it was the time of day? 9pm. Maybe my wife and I are too old for the crowd there. We are both in our early 40s, and we did see others our age and older there, but I looked around and noticed that the younger college aged people were definitely getting better treatment. The bartender who was serving us, spent most of his time talking to two younger females at the end of the bar. He was nice enough to us when he did help us, but you could tell, he could care less if we were there or not. Another funny thing is when we first walked in, they said sit anywhere we want, but when wanted to go sit to the far right, they said, that section is closed. Oh well. Anyway, we were there about an hour and a half. Much longer than it should take to eat a meal! That should give you an idea of how the service is...The drinks and atmosphere though were great. I have driven by this place a few times and really wanted to love it just by how it looks. This is the type of place my wife and I like to go to.Maybe one more shot!
