Massage Envy

I am currently having a horrible experience at this location with management. I had an issue with hidden fees and not honoring package deals. When I tried to talk to the assistant manager she had “not much I can do for you” attitude. It got to the point where I wanted to cancel my subscription. Instead of discussing it with me or rectifying the issue she just said “you can’t do that, you signed up for a year subscription”. I have let 2 messages and called 4 times to talk the Manager with no call back. When I call to ask for the regional manager or the person above the manager at this location I’m told they can’t do that and I have to deal with the manager. I have absolutely no complaints about my message person. Just the way this place runs. No Customer service , pushy with the up sales and charges, and gimmicks with their subscription. I highly do not recommend a subscription here. I’m about to contact the BBBUpdate. I have now left 4 messages and stopped in and left one of those in person. Asked to speak to manager before message. Told she was busy and she will be available after. Then after message she was gone in errands. Left a message again to call with no phone call

I have been a member for years and always had good experiences. I recently started seeing Ben, he is phenomenal and easy to talk to. Before seeing him, I had never booked visits in the future. Now though, I would be sad not to see him! 10/10 would recommend!

Very nice however, I would prefer the therapist didnt talk during my massage as I am there to relax. I talk to people all day in my job and massages are how I escape and relax from my day.This is the second time Ive been there where the therapist talks most of the time I was there. (I think it was two different therapist.) I understand at the beginning where they ask where I would like them to focus but after that I just want to enjoy the background music and relax. Other than that the staff if very nice.

Kristy was an absolute delight. Most satisfying and effective massage I have ever had. The previous massages I have had have felt more like luxury relaxation. It actually felt like she was treating my muscle tension. I was beginning to lose my faith in massage therapy as a method of pain management. She restored some hope. She is also a sweet and kind gal. Thank you Kristy.

Rhonda was great! She used a good amount of pressure, which is what I requested and made sure I was comfortable.

Andrea was amazing! One of the best massages I’ve ever had. She was sweet and soft spoken, very much wanted me to have a good experience!

5 star for Jeremy at Stillwater location-Jeremy is great and has a deeper understanding of the science behind muscular massage therapy than many in the industry. I have been getting massages for 10+ years. There are only a few folks as methodical and strategic as him. He deserves something extra for massage envy management.

Massage therapists are excellent; 5 stars plus. Front desk and management 0 stars. I’ve been a member since 2008 and it has steadily gone downhill. I asked for the manager to call me following my last massage and am still waiting. Therefore I decided to leave this review. It’s unfortunate that good help is so hard to find these days.

My experience with Rhonda @ Massage EnvyStillwater is nothing short than “awesome.” She listens to my areas of concern on my body & gives me the massage my body needs. She has amazing hands.. Great personalty too:)

Kristy was wonderful. She has a very calming demeanor and wants you to have the best experience possible. She will be my go-to for future visits.

Lorraine is the best massage therapist! She fixes the tension knots I get in my neck and shoulders instantly. The pressure is always perfect and shes funny! Go see her!!

I’ve been going to the Stillwater location for about a year now and have had great experiences with multiple therapists, due to my schedule i have seen 4 therapists at this location. My OG Amanda B, Doua, Gwen and my Texas Girlie Lorraine. They have each provided me with consistently exceptional massage experiences. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine care shine through in every session.They all took the time to listen to my specific concerns and preferences, ensuring that the massage was tailored to my needs and made sure i was always comfortable. They all have a soothing touch to alleviate muscle tension, they all used therapeutic techniques and they all paid attention to detail ensuring that every knot was addressed. I’ve always left feeling balanced and refreshed.Im grateful for the skill and dedication of these talented therapists, and I highly recommend Amanda B, Doua, Gwen and Lorraine to anyone seeking a top-notch massage experience !

Scheduling was full of errors, even after I called for confirmation on my appointment. I requested and paid for a stone massage and this was confirmed. But when I arrived, nobody knew anything about this . I now have a credit but I will use it at a different Massage Envy.

Customer service is terrible. On multiple occasions my appointments were double booked and canceled after I made arrangements to leave work. Asked to speak with management, no answer. Asked to cancel the membership, still being charged. They prioritize non members over people paying monthly. Terrible establishment.

Ben is so great! He helped me heal and be able to work more frequently without pain using Myofascial release for my upper back, neck and hip tension & adhesions. Skilled, educated and professional. 5 stars Ben!

I had a great experience when I went in for my massage with Mark. I felt safe and relaxed the whole time, and I was there for some back pain, and I have felt much better since. I would definitely recommend!

AMAZING! Kayleigh has the magic touch! You get the best of both worlds when you get a 90 Minute Custom Facial with her. She is so knowledgeable about what your skin needs and what to do to address any issues. She has the ability to relax your mind and body while she works out any tension in your upper back, neck and shoulders. Completely relaxing and you leave feeling like you had a whole body massage. Bonus is your face and skin are glowing and will reap the rewards for days to come.

Jake worked a lot of pressure points and tackled the knots in my shoulders as part of the excellent firm massage. Id book with him again if Im ever in town again

Lorraine is awesome!I have been getting massages for at least 20 years now, and she is the best massage artist I have experienced.Always doing better afterwards.

Do not get a membership here !!! They are a scammm !!! The manager here SUCKS AS A PERSON !!! She shows no empathy for valued customers !!! She doesn’t do her job right ! She hung the phone up right in my face ! She is horrible and should not be working here. They are charging cards every month even after you cancel the membership with them ! Even if u don’t use it they won’t let you cancel the membership! This is a horrible company. She was disrespectful and soon as i got On the phone she had an attitude and put me right on hold didn’t let me finish my words. I’m so disappointed in this company at still water.

Horrible membership services do not let them get you! I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a year & at first I was scammed into a 12 month membership that I could NOT CANCEL according to the contract I signed but was never warned of that. $75+ a month for 12 months of a membership I BARELY USED due to my new school schedule. Then when I tried to finally cancel again in January they forced me to send an email stating I want to cancel instead of just canceling the membership right then & there on the phone with me. Apparently my email never sent & they have charged me the last 4 months, without ever stating they didn’t receive my email back “in order to cancel” on top of the 12 months they already scammed me into paying. No refund or anything. The manager was extremely rude & unhelpful or understanding of my situation Im a student & cant afford a $75+ a month for something I am never using. I was unaware my email was never received & this is so unfair im out of $375+ over the last 5 months & used none of their services. On top of the hundreds of unused points ive racked up over months of being forced to pay & never needing or using the services due to my busy schedule. Do not go here.

Disappointing. Session began late and ended early scheduled ( one hour). Technician did not work on problem areas described before he started. He spent about 15 minutes on ankles and feet ( waste of time). I didnt receive the value or work on needed areas. I didnt t receive what I paid for. I left a $15 tip despite the results. I ask for and expect a refund.

Massage was good but customer service was very disappointing. I was told one price on the phone, confirmed many times, and then was charged much more. When I called to figure it out they were rude and not willing to help me because “that’s just not how we do it” even though someone else had told me otherwise. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I absolutely loved seeing Kayleigh and talking with her about skin care! She already gave me great information and the facial itself was very relaxing and wonderful! Would definitely recommend her!

Jeremy was a 5 star therapist, but the facility was hot and stuffy and smelled like musty feet this time for some reason. I noticed it immediately when walking in from outside. I hope it was a one off.

Great Massage with Laura. I’d give it a 5! Gentle enough on my sore shoulder but firm enough to feel my muscles relaxing.

Amanda B. was great. She specializes in firm massage and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This is my second time with her. She’s great to visit with but also reads my cues if I just want a quiet peaceful massage. I highly recommend

Had an hour long massage with Doua yesterday. She was great to work with! My upper back feels AMAZING. Also saw Kayleigh for a facial, which was my first ever. She was very kind and took the time to explain services needed and being provided that day. I have appointments with these lovely ladies again next month

Kenda was fantastic. I never usually speak to my massage therapist, but we had so much to talk about I couldn’t believe how much we had in common. We chatted the whole time and it made me feel so comforted. I couldn’t believe how well skilled, thoughtful, intentional, and devoted she is to her craft. 5/5 👏

I’ve been a Massage Envy member for over 10 years and never experienced a location as wonderful as Stillwater. The staff is professional, their communication is exceptional and the staff is HAPPY. You can feel it when you walk in (definitely not something I would say about the other 5 locations I’ve been to). Kenda was amazing - so kind and addressed my concerns with plantar fasciitis.

Shanon is an amazing massage therapist! Ive had nothing but good experiences at the Stillwater location.

I had a very good massage from Laura. My only suggestion is that it could have been warmer in my room. The table kept me warm but anywhere that the blanket was lifted off of me, I felt chilled. I realize the weather changed abruptly & that may have been why. Also, the whole time, I could hear conversation in the next room. It was distracting & I wasn’t able to relax as much as usual. I was in a room with two massage tables. The people in the next room must have been having a service that required talking for the whole time. But Laura was great!

Kaleigh was able to relieve about 20 knots out of my mid back and shoulder blades. It was super relaxing, I felt like a new person both physically & mentally. I would recommend renaming the back facial service with Kaleigh to “Back/Shoulder Tension Relief w/spot treatment” if needed.Amanda B. is also fabulous for a deeper tissue massage. She is always willing to pick up more hours & has a lot of time availability.Finally, I unfortunately had to cancel my membership for financial reasons. I was anticipating hard selling to get me to keep my membership. But, I was pleasantly surprised that it was the exact opposite. Everyone was very understanding and customer service friendly. I hope to become a member again soon, thanks for your 4 years of service!

Bring a member is worth it if you get at least 1 massage a month. You can save your 60-min sessions up and use them for 90 or 120-minute massages too!Always very friendly staff.Many therapists book out quite a ways so it can be difficult to get in in a timely fashion. I recommend booking out as many as possible before you leave! They do offer cancellation lists and such but I’ve had good luck finding appointments a day or 2 out but checking frequently online!

If I could give zero star I would.This was hands down the worst & most disappointing massage Ive ever had.I asked for firm pressure & I am highly convinced my 4 year old could have done firmer pressure than I got. The room was FREEZING cold the entire time along with Rachels hands being cold the entire time.During the massage I could hear, what sounded like employees, talking on the other side of the wall the entire time plain as day, if I wanted to relax, there was no relaxing because of all the talking I could hear.I dont ever do anything for myself as a mom of 4 & finally did only to be extremely disappointed.Id love to give massage envy another chance but not sure I ever will.

All staff were very kind and courteous. I needed a last minute work over and they were very accommodating.

It was a very good experience. It has been several years since visiting ME. She was very receptive and understanding.It’s now been 3 months weekly with ME.April is wonderful with facials! Rachel is great with massages! Both are very down to earth and welcoming.

The front desk is very helpful! Laura is amazing to get a massage from! I highly recommend adding cupping to your massage! I have been adding it for a few months, and I have seen so much improvement in how my whole body feels! They really are a great location to work with!

I’ve gone here a few times and have always had a good experience. The last massage I had however was just average, I’ve had better. Usually the oil/lotion that is used is warm. This time it was ice cold so every time she applied it, I would shudder a bit. Kinda took away from the relaxation vibe. Also, my therapist was friendly but I felt like she was in a hurry to get it done. It was my birthday so they gave me the essential oil add on at no charge, I appreciated that, nice they do that!

Always feel better waking out after her great work!

I had my first-ever facial and my aesthetician, April, was great! She was very friendly and walked me through what she was doing, explained different things, etc. She also followed my cues on when I wanted to talk vs when I wanted to relax Im silence. I highly recommend her!!

Thank you!One suggestion: the level of pressure was great - but the speed/rapidity of the strokes was very fast, at times distracting. When the strokes were slower, I could feel the knots and tension being released. Not so when the strokes were fast.

Jake listened to my needs and was very thorough. He followed major nerves, blood vessels and muscle bundles down to their insertion points, which was really necessary for the issues I had, instead of just a generalized kneading. It was one of the best massages I had. He also gave me easy and practical exercises to do. Too bad he is always booked, as I would definitely want to continue with him.

I threw back out, in pain for a week. Kenda did a fantastic job and I feel so much better. She is a very warm and welcoming therapist and made my session perfect!

Rhonda is so skilled at her job, beyond just a massage, but it is really like physical therapy for me. She is always kind and compassionate with my complicated health concerns.

I have been meaning to write this review for awhile. First of all, very clean building and in an easy accessible area. Second, I have had a few not so great massages there and every time I have talked with management about it they have been extremely receptive and kind. Third, if you are looking for an amazing massage therapist Rhonda and Kenda are both AMAZING. I have been seeing Rhonda for a few months now (every week) and I feel amazing after every session with her. She books out far so make sure to get on a cancellation list and book your appointments ahead!

I was brought back right away and started my session quickly after that. Pressure was good and talk was at a minimum so I could enjoy my massage.

Christy was amazing! I will definitely be going back for a 90 minute massage with her! Best massage I have had in awhile!

Very relaxing massage. She did an awesome job of trying to please me. The warmth on the table, asking if it was too hard or too soft with her hands making sure she did the correct part of the body, that I had asked for. Definitely would see her again!😀

Outstanding therapist!I have long commented on the ‘music’ played during sessions. I hope Massage Envy will create a process to let clients (or perhaps the therapists) choose their own music experience. At least selecting the genre. (The Spa inspired music track played is too ethereal and random to my taste and I find it distracting not relaxing. I would much prefer classical. But am certain others have different preferences.)Music is very personal and a uniquely powerful mood altering force. Great opportunity to enhance your client experience.

Steven at the front desk was amazing. Amanda who did my massage was not very personable. The massage was good.

Therapist continually massaged over bones prominences and spine to the point of discomfort. Overall approach was very asymmetrical and didn’t address my areas of tension. Fluff and buff.

Ive been a member for several years but this was one of my first experiences at the Stillwater location. Yesterday, I had a 90 min massage scheduled with Trudy. And naturally, I was over 15 min late and slightly annoyed with myself. Trudy welcomed me with a smile and then informed me that I was her last client for the day and could make up the time by going a little over. WHAT - Cray. This was so nice and above and beyond my expectations. And it was the best massage I have ever had. She does amazing bodywork that was holistic in incorporated mindfulness. Highly recommended for body trauma work.

Kayleigh did a fantastic job! She is extremely knowledgeable and fun to visit with. I would highly recommend a microderm hydrating facial with her!

My wife and I cancelled our package through the previous manager over 8 months ago, we sent in the required documents and received confirmation from the administrator that our plan had been cancelled and our payment info was removed upon our request. Now, 9 months later and with no prior notice, the new office admin is claiming that we never sent our cancellation documents in and she has charged us for the past 8 months of bills even though we havent been back inside the store since April. I had to file a fraudulent charge claim with my bank, because the new administrator refuses to acknowledge our cancellation. I had to cancel my wifes debit card, because she even said she was going to CONTINUE to charge us even after being re-notified of our intent to cancel.This place may have good massages, but buyer beware when it comes to their dishonest management team. Go to Woodbury instead, they treat you like a human being and not a number.All it would have taken for them to earn our business back would have been an apology and a simple refund, but evidently they would rather lose a customer for life over their own clerical error (and still not get the money from our bank anyways) instead of doing the honest thing.I have reported this to corporate Massage Envy and if you have a similar story I would encourage you to share it as well, people like this stop getting their way when enough people refuse to be walked over.I have also reported their PCI compliance violation to their card processor for refusing to remove our card info 8 months ago, and lying to us and telling us they did. I would encourage you to do the same if this has happened to you, also. I highly doubt we are the only couple to be fed this string of lies.In short, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. You wont regret it.**UPDATE**The franchise owner has reached out to me and the situation has been rectified. I dont blame the franchise ownership for what happened and I am satisfied that they have handled the situation appropriately once they learned about what was happening in their store.

I always have a great service here! My favorite person to go to for facials is Kayleigh, she always does an awesome job and listens to my skin concerns. My skin feels great after I see her!

I made an appontment with Massage Envy for Thursday at 2:30. Flying out of state on Friday. Made the appointment several weeks prior. Was very much looking forward to my massage. Tuesday morning, 2 DAYS before my appointment, I get a text advising me that because I didnt have a card on file, my appointment was canceled. No courtesy call; just a cancellation. When I called to make the appointment, I was not asked for a card or advised that my appointment would be canceled if someone else (friends or family benefit?) wanted it. I IMMEDIATELY called and was advised that my appointment was no longer available. WHAT? Are you kidding me? Never would I ever go to Stillwater MN Massage Envy to be treated like this. Very poor way to run a business.

Went for my first time last night. Had a wonderful time. Tristan did a amazing job. Got a deep tissue and it was great. Would recommend Tristan to anyone looking for a quality massage. The girls at the front desk were very nice also. Great job everyone.

Nazerae did a great job. It was like she could tell where all my tight spots were and paid extra attention to them even though I didn’t give much direction. She also could tell if the pressure in certain spots was too much, but kept going just enough to still work out the knots in a way that was comfortable for me.

I recently had a massage with BEN!I was comfortable at all times. It was a good massage and he focused exactly where I requested, with exactly the right amount of pressure. Ty

Amanda does an amazing job, after a few months of regular massages she got all my knots out and then I got busy and didnt go for awhile and my knots came back from stress so now I get to do it all over again. Highly recommend the splurge of a regular massage!

Therapist is great as she always is!

I was supposed to get deep tissue, but the massage therapist basically just touched my back for 90 mins. There was no deep tissue massage. The massage therapist also had just eaten lunch or had some type of food and you could smell burps underneath the breath. The massage therapist was yawning and seemed disinterested in giving the massage. Very dissatisfied and disappointing for paying for a 90 minute massage and the therapist did not target the area described. A refund should be given!

Ive visited this location twice & have seen the same service provider, Nazarae, both times. Her pressure is medium-deep which I usually steer clear of (because its painful) but after seeing her twice, its been made abundantly clear that I need it! Her technique is relaxing but effective. She chats for a bit in the beginning to get to know you but then the focus is the massage. After my first visit, my shoulders hurt for 3 days (so much tension) but thats not her fault. After my 2nd visit (1 week later), I had a mild ache in my shoulders for a day. Same pressure. And thats how I know its working! Id highly recommend her to anyone who needs tension relief!

So disappointed. I have been a member for years and was not given any grace for being late once! The company is very rigid, corporate, and difficult to cancel without incurring serious costs. The clientele tends to be people who are looking for value, and Massage Envy exploits that. I will not be returning, and warn anyone who is considering a membership. Don’t do it!

Amanda was the girl I got for my massage. She was not welcoming at all. She was very rude, rushed through the massage and sighed the entire time like she had something more important to do. It was a very unprofessional message and I was tense the entire time. I will not be coming back.

They asked me to arrive early and did a 15 minute intake with one person to whom I gave a full detail of my needs. She explained that she would then talk to the massage therapist, but when I got to the room and was asked how can I help you today ...they had never communicated. She said I dont know why the front desk does that. Half way through I had to ask her to focus on my neck, which was why I went in the first place. She also wanted to make a lot of small talk, which was frustrating and not relaxing.The experience wasnt with the same person or the same price as I booked on the website. The staff, while nice, focused on upselling, almost script like. The staff seemed to lack a professional presence and appearance, which contributed to the overall lacking experience.

Amanda was great! She was able to get me to relax while getting some real work done on my tension. I would recommend her!

I have gone to the Stillwater ME 4x. I signed up for their monthly subscription after my first session with Nazerae. I ended up cancelling my subscription due to the fact that I dont need regular massages (I never went!) and its not really in my budget. I had someone else massage me a few other times while trying to use up my sessions and it didnt razzle dazzle me. However yesterday I had Nazerae again and I remembered why I had signed up in the first place. She is amazing.Nazerae is the only reason for the 3 stars as the overall experience with ME wasnt very.. exciting. Finding appointment times is rather difficult because they are so busy. Not every masseuse is equal so you really shouldnt just choose who is available. The cancellation process was obnoxious- having a manager play telephone tag with me and then once connecting with them having to email an official form to cancel. And once you cancel you have only 2 months to use your remaining sessions. I also want to say that when I originally signed up I felt like the front desk person did a horrible job explaining the program. I thought it was a good deal but looking back, its only a good deal if you plan on getting more than one massage a month. A plus side though is the ability to transfer the masaages on your account to another person. If it wasnt for that feature I would have wasted so many of my paid for massages. Lastly, I want to concur what others have said- this place is far too focused on up-selling and it seems as though a majority of their masseuses are way too amature, especially for the amount they charge.So 5 stars for Nazerae and 2 for ME in general leading to my 3 star review. I had originally posted 4 stars, 5 for Nazerae and 3 for the business overall but I dont think they deserve 4 stars. If I saw 4 stars I would expect a great time there and half the time it is not. In honor of not trying to mislead people I revised my rating to 3 stars.

Had a massage with Laura on Friday the 13th at Massage Envy Stillwater and she did an amazing job. Just the right pressure and very professional. Can’t wait to rebook with her.

Very difficult to schedule massages and they make it hard to stop services if you bought a time period package..one has to cancel on a specific day and they require you to print, sign and send a termination agreement..makes it hard to terminate. Very annoying. No refunds.

She found several knots and applied good pressure. Stayed on some bad knots until they released. Was able to do full body massage in the 90 minutes.

Excellent massage! I have had a lot of therapeutic massage in the past and all have been good. But, the massage I received with Kenda was about the best I have received. Intuitive, natural ability!

Mediocre massage, awful customer service. I had recieved a 3 month membership as a gift, and called to make sure I understood what that entailed, as I have twin toddlers and self care ends up last on the list. I was able to get a single 60 minute massage. Beforehand, I spoke with an employee for quite a while, who explained that the almost $200 would get additional discounted services for the 3 months, but if I couldnt get in to take advantage of that, there were still 3 massages which had been paid for, that I would be able to take advantage of. I called to finally schedule a second message, but was told that my membership had expired and there were no addition services spoke with a manager, who offered to call back to go over the agreement with me, because apparently the notes contradict what I had the girl explain 3 times to make extra sure it was clear. Im furious, and feel cheated. I understand the point of the agreement, but I also understand good customer service, and this is garbage.

Amanda B will fix whatever is hurting you! She gives a fantastic deep tissue massage. Front desk is super friendly and make it easy to book.

Amanda had a good deep pressure but need to understand “Deep and accurate point to the area with SLOW strokes Must better than FAST or TOO FAST strokes! “. Hopefully this can be improvement points for Amanda and your facility!

I had made an appointment, but called to cancel it and still ended up getting charged the $75.00 no call no show fee. That to me is very unfair and poor service. Definitely will not be getting my service again.

The 90 minute massage is my go-to. They were very kind and polite at the desk. The masseuse had strong hands and excellent musculoskeletal knowledge. Relaxing place. Doesnt seem corporate.

**Update* I filed with the BBB as well as many emails with their account specialist and Massage Envy is still denying my refund. I consider this intentional theft at this point. The Hudson location obviously closed and it is easily verifiable that i have received no services since. Still Massage Envy will not refund the money. Be careful doing business with this company.*I was a member of the Hudson Massage Envy. When they closed abruptly I told them I would not be able to travel to a new location. They said someone would be in touch but no one ever was. A couple months later I started getting charged by Stillwater. I called them up and explained my situation. After receiving the documents to cancel I returned them with notes. “I do not agree to waive my rights to money already spent.” I have not received a response.I want a refund of the membership dues to a location that I never agreed to go to.

Ive been going to Massage Envy at 572 Commons Drive, Woodbury MN for almost a year. The only reason Im still going is because I signed a contract. I have made sure that they do not auto-renew my contract for a couple reasons. The number one reason is because they continue to charge my card twice for my visits. This causes a series of calls I need to make and escalate up to their general manager. Each time it was a huge hassle to get my card credited, because they keep telling me that their system doesnt allow it. They offer to schedule another appointment for me to satisfy the charge. If I WANTED additional services, I would call you and schedule an appointment! I dont need to be overcharged and then be offered to use that money for more services! Two times this has happened. Both times it was a hassle. In fact, Im still waiting on the credits to be posted to my account, even though they continue to assure me that it will take 3-5 business days. Its been longer than that already.The other reason I will definately not be renewing is because only half of the therapists actually know what they are doing. Its pure chance that youll get someone who is worth the $45 session fee. This means I walked out of their wanting a massage after just receiving one. Total waste of my time and money.Ill be going to the professionals at my gym (Lifetime Fitness) from now on.

Depends on who you see. My therapist used very repetitive strokes. They were so repetitive that I was bored throughout the massage. It was just one main technique the whole way through, no variety. Also requested medium pressure and got very light pressure.

Had the best facial by Rain! She’s very knowledgeable about the products and makes you very comfortable. Will be back to see her!
