The staff is friendly, professional and very helpful! They have a great selection! Reasonably priced!

This is the only place in the Valley I trust as my one stop shop when I need to buy a new vape, pick up pods or buy juice as the staff is always top notch, knowledgeable and friendly and the selection of fine juice as well as sale options is unbeatable! I’ve been a loyal customer since I first switched to vaping back in 2018 and regardless if I’m in Tempe or if I have to wait to fly back Ohio or Vegas I always make sure to stock up at HQ before and after traveling as no place I’ve seen in Arizona, Ohio, Nevada, California or South Carolina has been able to hold a candle to the service, selection and knowledge I’ve come to rely on as an HQ customer!

I was born in Tempe which is rare as only 20% of us remain here. In saying that I am expressing that Ive been a customer of this establishment off and on for nearly three decades. I also live on this block.Three ladies were working tonight. They were employees that I have been served by before. Each time they represented the rudest people I have ever seen employed, not only here, but anywhere near Mill Avenue. I am only slightly aware of the owner but certainly aware enough to know that this is not the type of staff that he usually has working here. I have a substantial level of local notoriety due to my history in the entertainment business over the last 4 decades. I also ran businesses at this intersection for quite some time. I thought I had the worst staff to ever work near Mill Avenue. That record has now been overcome by the staff working at HQ tonight. In the last couple of years I have shifted my business over to Wild Side. There is an incentive in doing that because they keep their vape juice prices below the competitors. What would keep a budget customer coming to HQ, even with higher prices, would be the quality of the staff. I know this more than anyone else in Tempe, because my own talents were what kept customers coming to my businesses even with our higher prices and undependable staff. These three ladies working at HQ tonight, plus one other that was working on the evening of April 20th, are pretty bad. I understand that finding staff to actually do a job is hard enough these past few years. Expecting anyone to actually care about customers is probably asking too much. However, HQ Vape & Smoke has managed to do that over the years until recently.My hope is that Wild Side will do better with their ordering so I dont have a need to go to HQ anymore. It would be a win-win. Save money and get treated with respect. Im not sure if the employees at HQ were born here. Considering their age, that is a possibility. However, they would not be old enough to understand that those of us that were born here in the last 50 years and have been here for decades are sick of the poor quality people coming into the area. We are the customers they should make themselves aware of because we are the ones who will be most offended. One needs to keep in mind that it is the people who have been here who have made Tempe the desirable place that it is and that has attracted so many people to want to come live here. The families who have been here throughout the 20th century have worked hard to make Tempe what it has become. There are not many of us left. Those of us that are dont appreciate newcomers or careless modern local youth who participate in making this area undesirable with their attitudes and behaviors. Furthermore, we have an increasing population of foreign students who are not used to the way an average American may act. Like I expressed to Chase bank, we are a multicultural metropolis that requires people who work in service to have skills appropriate for this area and are appropriate people in general to be exposed to that student population.For no other reason than the simple fact that we worked hard to make this part of Tempe what it is today. We would prefer our efforts not be spoiled by service staff who think they are working in any random shop. This is a historic area with a special culture. It would behoove anyone who works on this block to learn a bit about the area that they also partake of and benefit from living or working in.If they dont believe in these facts I have stated about how special Tempe is, just have them go ask all the transients outside.I dont recommend anyone replace their staff, but I will say that if HQ were to lose these employees ... they wouldnt be missed.

Friendly welcoming environment as soon as you step in. A main thing that stands out here is the employees have great knowledge of the products they sell and offer great selections close to what you are looking for if they do not carry a specific product you are looking for. I can not tell you how many times I go to a location for a specific wrap flavor and the employee of the other places dont know anything, wont offer anything but just stand there waiting for you to make a selection. Every time I go to this location its friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Worker was extremely rude. I showed him my ID proving I was 21 but he kicked me out anyway saying I looked young. Furthermore he threw some rude remarks at me as I was leaving. I dont recommend this shop to anyone there are some much friendlier places around town

Loved it. First timer my regular smoke shop was out of vape device i use. Which is the cube 3000 puffs summer menthol. The only place that had them. Customer service was awesome

Listening is important the first time I came in this shop I understand because I just needed something affordable but I came back because the cheap one stop working and Im asking the guy other than Lost Mary whats a good brand because the brand I normally purchase they dont sale. He wasnt listening to me then I noticed they had the same brand at a higher price and I was asking why because if I NEED to spend MORE $$$ I will to get a descent Vape. No! Help at all it was like just GTFO my store its your fault our vape stopped working. So the one I got I can tell tomorrow it wont wor either. He cant flat out say these are cheap because they dont work but direct me to what works. Waste of Time ⏰

I used to be a regular here and service wasn’t bad when they had original staff. Now it’s kids that don’t even recognize anyone or honor or respect loyal customers. I tried to purchase papers as I do every other day today I didn’t have my id and all original staff has been replaced. So they wouldn’t sell to me. Let me be clear im a 35 year old man with half grey beard. It’s insane to me some peoples mind set.

Asked for a regular sized can of butane, the guy charged me for a small one and ended giving me no butane… I was one of the last customers that came in at 7:30 tonight. I got a grav one hitter and a pacific straw with a mini torch.

I used to love it here. Its so sad whats happened with them, a lot changed within the last few months. I bought a new battery on sale and it didnt work or take a charge. Couldnt help me even though I was there 3 days prior and they had me on camera buying the thing, sad. Theres policy and then theres the people and today they showed which is more important. Go elsewhere if you wanted to be treated as a human. Hope $12 was worth losing a loyal, long time customer.

This is one of the most storied places in Tempe, I love Ted and the whole crew. Ive been lucky enough to be accepted as a regular customer and am greeted cheerfully whenever I drop in. The selection is phenomenal, if you dont see it, ASK, they probably have it. Theyre super helpful and deserve all the tip money you can put in that jar!!

Friendly staff and student discounts. The items run on the pricey side, and you have to look from under the shelving to browse through the prices of items by yourself. The setup encourages pulling each item out one by one, so it takes longer to peruse through all of the options if youre unsure or if your budget is the main factor in your choice over style. That said, the staff is helpful and nice, so I enjoy going there.

Awesome team and a great selection. Lots of product knowledge and great suggestions. Parking is a little tight and some prices are a little high...$10 for butane is WAY over the top!! I can get 4 cans of Vector butane online for $27 or locally for $6 per can. Otherwise they are awesome!

Ive had some bad experiences with several head shops in the Tempe and Chandler area. Yet whenever I come to HQ, I not only get what Im looking for (they very rarely have inventory shortages), I also leave feeling well-informed. All of the staff demonstrate a thorough knowledge of their products, and their warranty policy is very reasonable. The atmosphere is also laid back, which is what you might expect from a head shop, but you arent very likely to find any space cases behind the counters!

Head Quarters has been around for decades and its like an old friend you dont see all the time, there when you need them and you know youll feel comfortable there. HQ really has that old school head shop feel without just being another smoke shop, stop in and check out their stock of locally made glass.

My favorite smoke and vape shop in all of Tempe! The staff is always so welcoming and positive. Very knowledgeable staff as well. I wish I could give them 6 stars bc theyre the best!

Best smoke shop in the valley. Awesome customer service, a massive diverse selection of the whole spectrum of smoking/vaping products. They can make amazing deals so you can get a good price as well. All around best experience at a smoke shop ever in my life! Thats how Id describe it.

Have been here twice. First trip was to get a oil reclaimer. They quoted me $89 for a reclaimer with Teflon parts and I got a similar name brand quartz reclaimer online for $16.Last night I called to see if they had a Vape tank. they did!but where charging double the price than I seen online.I asked if they could do any better because HQ is by far the most expensive, even double the price in a lot of places.I was told No, it will always be cheaper online. we charge more for the people who want it now.So, per the employee last night. its a excellent place to get gouged.

Where do I begin? Im honestly shocked, to say the least. Justin provided a level of service comparable to that of a concierge. Personal recommendations based on quality of use, not overstocked product.After selecting my mod kit, meaning I had already verbally committed to buying the items, Justin decided to keep sweetening the deal.-Gave me 20% of my already reasonably priced kit for having a medical marijuana card. (This discount also applies to students!)-Gave me 50% off a set of top tier batteries to accompany my kit.-Gave me personal instructions on device maintenance, based on his personal experience using it.Come to this store, give Justin a hug, buy some cool stuff.

HQ has good deals, and, most importantly, the staff are incredibly helpful and flat-out nice to talk to. This store truly values long-term customer satisfaction over short-term profits.

I walked in and was excited to see they had a variety pack. Left, started my drive out of Arizona to California and opened the pack to see that 2/4 pods were leaking outside of the pod and into the case before i even perforated it open. I called and encouraged them to check the other variety packs just in case there was something wrong and to prevent other people from experiencing the same problem unusable pods. He told me he wasn’t able to open it and in response to me not being able to use the ones I purchased for $20, he said “man, that sucks”. So to all future people who go in and buy, make sure to open and check before leaving!!

The staff seemed to be rushed out to check you out very quick specially if there is a long que behind, as they serve you threw outa window and they pick your products. The service afterward is bad. I came to this store multiple times within a month, and I spend at least $150 to $200+ on Vapes, they sell the vape for $25 and I checked online for the same product is $14, so they are overpriced. My last experience was I order vapes and specified a brand and flavor, the salesman put the items in a bag and checked me out, few days later I checked the bag one of the flavors came in a different brand, so I went back to

I purchased pods and e-salt juice for my Zorion. I was in need of these items asap! I was 45 min. from home so Google maps navigated to HQ. Mari the employee who helped me was so awesome! Overall, great customer service and great experience.

I did not visit the store. I visited the most amazing Mexican restaurant in all of Phoenix next door to hear. Its called El Pollo Supremo. And if you havent tried it, you really really really really should.

-1. I paid $220 for the only DynaVap OMNI in town They sent me home with it broken (O Rings). Its still sitting useless on my table after no one calling me back (including the owner) for 5 days. I have a useless $220 set of titanium pieces of what is supposed to be a DynaVap Omni sitting on my table. DynaVap knows. I thought I would let everyone else know in case they actually wanted to buy something that works.

I adore the staff here at HQ! Theyre professional yet friendly. I always find what I need/want, and if I cant, all I have to do is ask and they are more than happy to help me!

Started to be a regular here and what’s funny is i am recognized and didn’t need my id to buy my vapes but I forgot my whole complete wallet but need my id for Apple Pay ? That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of . It’s just lame. But the smoke shop right across didn’t hesitate especially when buying 4 vapes every few days. I look for steady and convenient places where I don’t have to waste my time and if things like this do happen I want to expect I can still be taken care off and this did not happen today. I would understand if I had to need it overall but for Apple Pay like ok thanks for nothing. Your loss not mine

This place has you covered on all things Vape & Smokes. There is a walk-uo and you order from the window. The staff are super cool as well. But what I liked most is their display window-you have to check it out at night! Tons of bongs, posters, all things smoke paraphernalia!! Definitely worth the drive or walk if youre local🍁🍁

I used to Vape and they have tons of Mods and options for the toker. You can get lots of glass, portable and home vaporizer units. They have the best of the best. Flash your Med card if you want a 10% discount. I dont use weed anymore, but they have what you need. A++ store and the staff are friendly.

Mostly friendly staff; unfortunately, on several occasions over the years, Ive seen employees smoking and/or vaping inside the store—even during their shift, and in the presence of customers, at that. (Isnt that illegal?)

SHOP WITH CAUTION! I was in this shop this weekend and while I was purchasing something I gave the cashier $220 but she only counted it as $200 and threw it in the register right away. When I told her I gave her $220 she took the cash out and looked at it then told me there’s nothing she can do about it because she can’t tell which money was mine. I mean it is a smoke shop but you think the cashiers would be a little more careful when handling money especially when I’m making a large purchase like this.

Went back in today Nov. 17th. N talked to the manger he fixed the problem with the expired vape. We were very pleased how easy n how helpful the manger was. He apolized for the situation n switched the vape flavor out to something else we were looking for. And found out they have awesome black Friday deals coming. We definitely going back he appreciates his customers n that is hard to find these days.Thank youProblem solvedThe place has a big selection n was able to try flavors out which is why we went there 11/10/2017 but after leaving the store n getting home, we filled our vapes up n noticed that they sold us a liquid that was expired may 2015. Which means they dont watch there dates and dont care what they sell to customers. As long as they get there money.

Service was quick and efficient. They had what I went for but my problem with my vape still existed. Due to them closing within minutes, I didnt bother to interfere with the flow of last minute customers. Maybe Ill go back tomorrow to see if they can help me and Ill update my review

Ive been coming here every 1-2 weeks for 5 months now for my vape supplies. I am so tired of being sold the wrong product after they repeat it to me what I asked until I open my bag in my vehicle. This is the 4th time. Super disappointed... I came back today after I noticed and they said they didnt have what I wanted and wouldnt give me a refund, just a trade.

WTH !I should be able to get a price over the phone and only a person who is afraid they are over priced would choose to make you come in to see their prices. These guys are taking advantage of peoples ignorance. Reuleaux RX200, 199$. 58$ online. Sigelei Fuchai, 150$. 58$ online. I understand retail needs a markup, but a 400% mark up is just plain wrong. Stay the hell away from this place.

Ted is a Tempe Original, as is HQ. His jam IS the Jam! Love me some Juice. The spirit of the shoppe is amazing and the section of products is equally impressive.

I had a very bad experience testing vape juice. I asked to test zero nicotine vape juice. I tried the first juice and it had 3mg nicotine. I said this juice contained nicotine and I said no nicotine. The second vape juice contained 6mg. I became light headed and nauseous. I asked to use the restroom, and it was not for customer use. I decided not to buy the juice; 2 times the sample vape juice made me sick. The juice is over priced. The employees are incomprehensible on vape products.
