The Edge - A Tucson Bar

Cool place to hang out. Great patio. Good prices on beer and other drinks. The staff here is great. When I asked to do a fundraiser here for the Veterans Honor Flight I was overwhelmed with the kindness of the staff and the owner. Its a cash only bar but the drink and beer prices are excellent. They have Kereoke most nights (lots of good singers). Did I mention the Great smoking patio.

I didnt eat food but I loved the atmosphere, everyone i talked to was friendly. I didnt karaoke but It sounded great! I brought.my new puppy in with me and everyone loved him and accepted us. Very dog friendly. I hung out in the game room played pool and drank my margarita. All in all it was a great time.

Dank little spot with pool tables. Keri was nice bartender. We were visiting and Google karaoke tonite... we showed up ...it was moreso tell the dj what u want to sing and he will download it but no words.. still had a decent time but change the advertising onlinento reflect to be accurate

MOTHERS LAMENT, the Tucson band that played the night I recently visited (1/22) The Edge, was FANTASTIC! This made my experience at The Edge even better! Nice, cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Great bartender, great people that were there for the show that night.

My son performs there at times, and its always been a good time. Fun, good music, and they had a guy making pizza outside once. It was super yummy!Love the chill, fun, safe atmosphere!!

Its a local bar which I usually love BUT when they treat you as a non-local...not cool. 1st bartender awesome. 2nd bartender was more interested in her watermelon and her fan club. The band and patio were great.

Just a little local bar but its close to where we play disc golf and we love Jenny and Kim the bartenders.The owner, Fred is a great guy and always takes time to chat with us!Its strictly a bar with package snacks, no kitchen, so the perfect spot for a cold drink and some pool or foosball if were not wore out from 18 holes of disc golf in the heat.

First time here and enjoyed it! Few people here and there but staff were great! Bartender was talkative and polite. It was karaoke night and had a blast singing and dancing. Very chill, relaxing bar. Jello shots were gooood and $1..even better. Recommend this bar. Womens bathroom stall is TINY. Im 52 and my knees pretty much hit the door🤦‍♀️😁.

We went on a Friday night it was not crowded yet there was going to be a live band to start soon after we had arrived there. Not our type of music really but we were sitting out in the patio area anyhow so wasnt as loud as it could have been. Have to give the guys who are in that group a hand though they have a great drummer! As for what they where yelling I couldnt tell ya? No clue what so ever. Im just glad that it wasnt me who had to wake up the next day and attempt to talk to people cause I seriously dont know how one could after all of that YELLING AND SCREAMING OF WORDS. Im sure only the ones who listen to that type of music can understand . I mean OUCH on the throat and the vocal cords seriously.! They sounded good just wish I couldve understood what they was saying just not a youngster any more for sure.Its a bar that everyones been to Im sure at some point in time here in Tucson. I used to go there when it was called the rivers edge and was there a lot when I joined my boyfriends pool team that was so many years ago! We all had fun then and had many a party and food times shared there with friends and family. My oldest who has passed three years ago now she sang Karaoke there one time when we had went to family day on s sunday she ibthinkbwas 15 back then. So I have good memories there . The staff is always nice and helpful and very curtious to everyone. The pool room is great not overly crowded lots of room to move about when your back there.So dont miss out and take a trip o j er and say high to their lovely bartenders and make some new friends or take some of yours with and hang out for a spell. Great people and lots of fun, A great bar...

What a great bar!! We had such a good time Friday night that we closed the place down (havent done that in years)! It was extra safe with the guys checking temperatures on the way in, so we were able to have more fun with a little less stress. Played pool, listened to the live music, punched the punching bag game, and spent some time on the great patio with friends. Also the drink prices have to be some of the best in town.

Well...if you dont care that its kind of a dive, go! Have fun! They have live music quite often, ranging from classic rock to grunge, so check the website before you go to make sure its your scene! Service is always good!!

The live 90s music drew us back here. Staff is great! Nice pre and post-COVID bar to spend your time. Pool tables are in decent condition, if youre not picky. Prices are a bit above average. No food outside of the chip baggies was a bit of a let down. Chill outdoor area. Its surviving and thats good enough for now.

I use to come here all the time. Havent been in a while because I moved and but came today they have a new bartender and she was rude. We sat for a few minutes and then said hi how are you and she rudely says hi back and we never got served. We left..Get a new job if you dont like it

They had a lil rap show on their stage there n my daughter performed. Far but a good time. A dive but thats kinda something I enjoy. Live music 🎶 a plus. X4 pool tables and nice staff.

This place automatically gets 5 stars based on families history with this bar. It used to be known as The Bushwhacker in the 80s and 90s, owned by the notorious Bill Tester, or Test Tube as he was known around my house. My dad played live country music there on and off for years. Now my son has played a few gigs there with his band Friends in Hell. Good experiences, clean and cool inside. Packed shows make it hard to find close parking, but thats to be expected at a dive bar. If you like live, local music, give it a chance!

Wow, just a great bar with amazing ladies behind the bar. Now lets talk about music, i cant recall the band playing Saturday but they had their tunes and i give them 5 stars. Just an amazing place to enjoy a cold beer or drink with some amazing bartenders and amazing people. Enjoy...

I like this place when certain people are working. The drinks are always on point atmosphere is pretty relaxed they have started doing concerts there on occasion ( COVID related reasons). Honestly the only bad experience I have had here is with a waitress or 2.

This place use to be great. It was dark and had a nice relaxing atmosphere. I dont know why the new owners decided to can the karaoke DJ, David, that everyone liked. But they also turn every light in the house on and it feels like a waiting room. Im definitely going to limit my outings here.

I have never been into the bar but a couple of weeks ago my husband went AWOL and his last known location (via iOS) was Edge Bar.Sandy and Kim were so incredibly amazing. They were beyond kind and helpful, going out of their way to do so, and ultimately being two of the reasons I didn’t completely crumble apart.I will never be able to express my utter gratitude but both of these ladies deserve raises and aaaaallll the best things in life.Thank you both again

Doesnt look like much when you pull up... But honestly the best place Ive been in A LONG time. From the moment we walked in.. The owner was so friendly.. It was karaoke night and Im a professional l singer. The singers blew me away! They treated every one that walked in like they were part of the family.I will return! Again and Again.

Five stars because the bartenders are phenomenal and it has a Cheers type vibe where everybody knows your name. That said, karaoke has been sub par lately. They cant seem to find a decent kj.

Its Seems Like A Alright Place.. Dead On A Saturday Night.. Excellent Live Band...Sunset Red, Candy Is The Singer,Her Dad Is One Of The Guitarists...Singers Voice Is Heavenly... Their Range In Music is Spectacular... All & All Seems Nice..

I love this bar. Its local and closest to me. Due to various reasons, I walked away for some time and for the first visit back, Im not exactly happy. The bartender, Liz was fantastic. I showed up early. She was good conversation, great company and it was nice to catch up on things.The KJ shows up, starts setting up, has some audio issues and then nothing. Its my first show with this KJ in this bar. There are a few people but nothing too busy. In fact, I would call it the calm before the storm.Before I know it, its about a quarter after 9pm, the KJ has some music jamming, but theres no announcement that shes ready for karaoke. No introduction. Nothing but music. How am I, as a newcomer to her show, supposed to know when she ready to start accepting songs?Fast forward some time, and after disappearing on me while Im singing, being able to enjoy my karaoke is a huge thing for me. If I cant hear myself through the speakers, and I can hear myself better when I just remove the microphone and sing as I normally would because that is how I can hear myself better, then thats what Im going to do.It is highly unprofessional of the KJ to tell me, after she had disappeared, that I was needy because her audio system was not satisfactory.Just because I have a young face, does not mean you should dish out that kind of disrespect. Especially to someone who is BRAND new to your show and may not understand your sense humor.Fast forward a bit of time again, a long or two as its a small rotation, and though some of the vocals were 🔥, I noticed just music was playing even though I had put in a song since I last sang.In that moment, I recalled having been outside for several minutes so perhaps my time had just skipped and she didnt know I was back inside, or maybe something else that occurred. So I go to inquire on what had happened or if I needed to let her know that I was back and she tells me that she forgot. After sending me away because she said that she had my song in, this same KJ is now telling me, that she had forgotten to put in my song 😑Treat a new person with a little more respect, respect your job a little more when it is slow, pay a little more attention to the audios and the vocals and the ranges in which people wish to sing so that they dont have to go hunt you down, and you could go a long way.In the meantime, all other aspects were amazing.Bartender = 5/5Karaoke Dj Sharon = 2/5

Pitcher prices were good (large ones that were actually large) considering it was a Friday night. Bought 4 bottled waters, 2 large pitchers of beer, and a soda or two. $25-26 was the total cost? Honestly a great a deal considering there were 8 people. We had several pitchers beyond that though. Maybe six total? Couldnt finish them. All-in-all, we got eight people smashed for under $8-10 a person when it was all said and done and thats honestly a steal.

This place is about the people and the atmosphere. Karaoke during the week is generally awesome. Some of the best local bands play here on Friday and Saturday nights, drinks are cheap and faces are friendly.

Comfy neighborhood bar that has the unique ability to be both intimite and cozy at times while also having enough space to feel more like a club than a bar on some nights. Lively karaoke nights, pool tables, and large outdoor smoking area. Lots of TVs too

Dive bar which has its glory days in the rear view mirror. $1 jello shots and $1.75 White Castle Sliders are some of their major attractions if thats an indication. Pool tables are numerous ifnyou want to get a dollar game in. Dont know about watching a game there, main room only had 2 regular sized TVs behind the bar. So I just answered that.Could be a decent hole-in-the road watering hole I suppose. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Love this place. Everyone here is like family. Karaoke , live music, fun events, great drinks and bar staff. Front door man and security make you feel so safe and welcome.

Went late last night after work for karaoke. The bartender was phenomenal and on top of it. The patio was great. The crowd was pretty chill and was an awesome place to relax and have fun.

Keeping Tucson Dirty in the best ways. Dive bar + karaoke night. People complain about cash only and no food but hey, I would not eat anything that was prepared here in the back. Drinks poured proper and secure enough to sit with you back towards the door.

If youre looking for a fun night out with good folks in a neighborhood scene then look no further than THE EDGE! Great local pub showcasing some country rock flair- stop by for a brew or a cocktail and relax with some friendly faces. You wont be sorry you did!

Good place has plenty of pool tables... Plus darts and Foosball... Bartender great...DJ we had for karaoke did stay for a while but took many breaks and didnt seem too enthusiastic to be there... Other than that woo!

Worst band Ive ever heard was playing, Mary After Dark. It didnt help that when anyone would leave they would just turn up everything louder. I think the guitarist was in a different band. So, wow, if this is the type of music this bar has, Im never returning.

For your typical neighborhood dive-bar needs, The Edge is always a solid option on any given day of the week. Live music on Weekends and hosted karaoke on any other given day. The Barkeep here are consummate professionals! So, dont let their good looks fool you. They WILL serve you-one way or another...... The rest is up to you Fish.

Great hole in the wall bar! Has few pool tables and a few arcade games. Goes karaoke and had live band. Not a bad little dive bar. Huge patio for smoking.

The Edge is a right of passage in Tucson. Been a long time since I have gone. Happy to say it is the same welcoming place. But..... a little nicer and cleaner than i remember

23 years and there gang is still here. Some have moved on to other things, yet we have rung in all the bells you can think of from leagues, karaoke, and even live music too. From good friends to marriages, breakups, new arrivals and all the rest, yet though we lost a few that we miss, we have hope because we know we will see you again. We know you are still within us. As for the rest, come back and try this again. We are different than you and are just the same. We do not mind sitting on this fence in between and reminiscing of all of both places we have been as we carry each other through alway.

My local bar. The name may have changed from Rivers Edge to The Edge (making its edgy) lol. Anyways the bartenders and staff are always nice and helpful. I like to go their to see friends (patrons and staff) if you have a problem with this place (i.e. Too expensive, Slow, or the guy that said he was rushed for paying for his hotdog because at restaurants you pay when you leave) then youre the problem. By the way hotdog guy... Its a BAR not a restaurant... Go to Dennys

Great place for live music, the only reason its not a 5 star review Is because the bartenders are constantly not around when you need them. Might just be understaffed, but I dont know.

They gave me chips that expired in 2015. I ate one not knowing and basically got a chemical burn in my mouth

The ostrich almandine is to die for. They use the feathers for chopsticks for their lo mien and kung pao salamander. Deserts are amazing as well with the tequila lava cake.
