MONJES Day Spa

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a facial and pedicure at MONJEs spa. Marissa provided an amazing facial massage, showing thoroughness and expertise throughout the service. She guided me through the process, making my first experience both comfortable and informative. Marissa also offered personalized skincare recommendations tailored to my needs, which I will be incorporating into my routine. I highly recommend this Spa. The service at this family-owned location is truly outstanding.

Had a great experience at Monjes. Love the atmosphere there and the hospitality. Im a guy that just started getting manicures again and I felt very comfortable here. Looking forward to coming back!!

It took me a few days to get around to writing this review. I got my pedicure a week ago on July 9th 2024. The service was AMAZING! The conversation was wonderful and both Monye and her counterpart (Mama :-) ) were accommodating and pleasant. I didnt feel pressured into additional services or rushed in any way. My spa pedicure was thorough and efficient. My feet felt amazing and soft after. And dont get me started on that chair! Ive never been in a better massaging pedicure seat! Trust me, neither have you! She made suggestions based on the dress I was wearing for the wedding I was attending and although I didnt go with her suggestion for my own practical reasons, I fully intend on trying her suggestion on one of my future visits. Once I learned of the other services provided, I decided then to make this my spot.

This was my 1st visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my incredible spa day at Monjes. Relaxing atmosphere & awesome service. Their polite attentive staff offered snacks & water throughout my visit. I got a pedi, mani w/acrylic fill in w/a custom nail design & an eyebrow wax. Monje also provided nail care tips & gave me a printed copy so I didnt have to memorize them. I even received a nice thank you gift at the conclusion of my service. Ill definitely be back & highly recommend Monjes for your spa needs.

Over all great customer service and very considerate staff for their customers. My first time going to Monje’s Day Spa I was welcomed with open arms especially, I’m not from VA. I received a facial and I got a full body massage along with a manicure pedicure and pedicure Ima pleased I chose Monje’s day spa for my vacation.

My niece found Monjes online because she specifically wanted to have our (her, my mother and myself) Mothers Day outing at a Black-owned establishment. She absolutely made the right choice when she found and selected Monjes Day Spa. We had the most warm, welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable time that could possibly be had at a day spa. To satisfy three generations of women is no small feat, yet each of us was thoroughly pleased with our gel manis, spa pedis and facial waxing. I would highly recommend Monjes Day Spa to anyone looking for great results from a great team of professionals.

I had went in for a back facial and I wasn’t disappointed. When I walked in I was greeted politely and shown to my room prior to my appointment time. They were very patient and helpful with answering my concerns and questions. The treatment I had received was so calming and relaxing that I felt even better than when I had arrived. If you are looking for a spa that provides the best service I highly recommend Monje’s Day Spa.

My husband surprised me with a spa day on Mothers Day. This is a black owned business, and the entire ambiance was wonderful! Upon arrival I was cheerfully greeted by the staff. Everyone was very polite and professional. The conversation was great. I was offered snacks and drinks. The atmosphere was clean, warm and relaxing. I received a manicure, pedicure, facial and massage. Each service I received was remarkable. I was even pleasantly surprised to receive a small gift and Mothers Day balloons. WOW!!! I would highly recommend MONJES Day Spa to any and everyone. You will not leave disappointed!!!

I got my first back waxing today!! 10/10 experience will definitely be coming back for back waxes and other treatments!!

Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Went for a friends birthday pampering session, and they had birthday decorations and balloons for her. Facial, massage a d pedicure was great. Will definitely return real soon.

Monye did an amazing job!! One of the best pedicures Ive had! She was gentle and precise throughout the whole pedicure. I highly recommend to everyone!

Omg!! Today was my 1st time visiting this spa. I had it set up for my daughters 22nd birthday and i am just lost for words.. the professionalism, clean environment, the laughs, smiles!! Came in from out of town to get a gel manicure/spa pedicure and a massage. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The staff really caters to your needs. to me you feel welcomed and cared for. The spa itself was beautiful and upscale. Highly recommend. I will be back. Oh yeah, the massage was out of this world.

Monyé was kind, friendly, and very accommodating. She did a pedicure for my 7 year old and made a point to engage with her through the entire service. Asking her questions to ensure she was comfortable and making sure she was treated like the little princess she is! My daughter cannot wait to return and neither can I!

I booked my first appointment at Monjes for my birthday this past Saturday and had the absolute best experience!! I had been looking for what felt like forever for a good spa and i have finally found the perfect place. The spa is so clean and welcoming inside, the staff are very accommodating and offer drinks and snacks during your service. Shawna was my nail technician and she was amazing!! We had great conversations the entire time, she made me feel so comfortable!! She also did a fantastic job on my manicure and pedicure, i’ve truly never been so pampered, she really took her time to make sure i’d be happy with the results and most importantly she listened to me when discussing my length and design. Karen was also amazing! Both of these ladies were just incredibly sweet and just fun to talk to! i was worried about having to wait to get in since it was Saturday and i didn’t want to be waiting around all day on my birthday and these ladies got me right in, they actually had my pedicure water ready for me when i walked in. No wait!!! At the end of my appointment these wonderful ladies sent me off with a birthday balloon and gift bag filled with a hand scrub, oil and nail file. Seriously, this place is a breath of fresh air compared to some of these other nail salons. Next time i got back, i’ll definitely be getting a massage and facial since they offer that as well. I highly recommend monjes!!

I have been to Monjes twice and had great experiences both times. Monjes was warm and welcoming and made me special both times. In fact, I sent my mom there for her birthday. Each aesthetician was so thorough that I highly recommend this day spa whether you are a local or visiting the VA Beach Oceanfront.

My Husband and I went in for mani/pedi and facial treatments. This is a family business, very polite and porfessional, clean and considerate.
