Coco Health Spa Georgetown Massage

This was the most unpleasant massage experience I have ever had. I had booked a couples massage and my partner enjoyed theirs for the most part but mine was uncomfortable and unpleasant. The masseuse who was working on me was so aggressive and was pushing so hard I have bruises the next day along my neck and back… even behind my ears. Both my partner and I felt it difficult to even breathe when the masseuses were working on our necks… practically suffocating. Additionally, my masseuse focused on areas of my body that are not traditionally focused on not allowed in any massages I’m aware of. My lower behind to be specific. I felt uncomfortable and unable to get myself out of it. I was waiting for the hour to be over. They charged us additionally for oils and then expected tips. I do not recommend booking here at all unless this is the type of service you are used to.

I cannot give this massage enough praise. Angie was absolutely phenomenal. She found every knot (even the ones I didn’t know existed) and I left feeling amazing.Most massages I’ve previously had have tended to feel very rushed. But Angie took her time and I felt that was she was genuinely focused on reducing discomfort in my tight muscles. I’ve never had a massage before where I felt like the masseuse was wholeheartedly invested in the service. She was seriously amazing!!! Omg.Also, at $70/hour, this price can’t be beat I’ve had massages for more than double the price and nothing has compared.Absolutely go and make sure you ask for Angie!!

I had one of my best massages in DC Georgetown! The place is very cosy and clean and the therapists are very professional and hospitable! Such a nice experience! I came here several times and I really enjoyed the massage here. It also has couple massage and its easy to book. You could book it online or by phone or you could just simply walk in! I have severe neck and back problem and it gets relieved every time after the massage! Strongly recommend to everyone!!

Unfortunately, despite all the glamourous reviews, I had a mediocre experience. The massage was okay - not terrible but Ive had much better ones. The therapist had not enough strength (even though I booked a deep tissue massage) and did a lot of rubbing rather than kneading and getting into my muscles. Though, what annoyed me the most is that while I booked a 1hour massage and confirmed that at the beginning, the therapist did 1h and 15min which they then charged me for. They also charged me extra for using basic coconut oil (not even a nicely scented aroma-oil). It was not communicated to me that there was an extra charge for the oil and it was not communicated that they would extend the massage and charge me for that. Sorry, I dont keep track of time while having a massage! I also think that for a better Spa experience, they should have some essential oil diffusers. Overall, not the experience I expected after reading all the positive reviews and especially not for the money I paid.

The massage was too rough. I didnt enjoy it. The masseuse took too much money out of my account after I explained to her what to do. I was informed later that she did not understand English. I asked why would she be allowed to o handel my card? It caused me a lot of inconvenience on a holiday when I couldnt get to the bank. I spoke to the manager and she hung up on me.

I was there about a month ago with one of my best friends and we had the most amazing experience. We did a 90 min couples massage and had Alex and Wendy. Wendy did my massage and she is phenomenal. I kid you not the best massage I have ever had. I rarely leave reviews, but I definitely needed to shout them out. I will absolutely be back next time I visit DC.

I took my daughter here as a final treat before she goes back to college and we were so completely disappointed with our experience. This place was terrible, and we have had many many massage/spa experiences before. First and foremost, the scheduling was confusing, and they didnt seem to know we were coming. We had to repeat that we were there, what we signed up for and that we wanted a separate room more than 4 times. We were given a room that had a small pull sheet between the rooms and it often felt as if there were people coming in and out of the room. There was no draping and no respect for our bodies. Body part were left exposed during stretches we never asked for. We signed up for a Swedish Massage for 90 minutes. I added coconut oil, which was completely underwhelming--wasnt warm, wasnt strongly scented. The biggest disappointment was the actual massage... we went yesterday, and our bodies both hurts like we were punched! I cant lie supine. I am so disappointed. I strongly suggest you find another spa.

I really despise businesses that DEMAND tips from patrons, after I am paying for the service. Tipping is ADDITIONAL based on my discretion and not to be demanded; especially after mediocre massage. I payed $70 to be rubbed down with oil instead of a massage. The masseur, I think Wendy, was all over the place with the massage. Not spending enough time on muscle group, or spending too much time on one place mildy rubbing me with oil. Are all these people actually licensed massage therapist??? After this oil rub down for $70, she request for a tip during payment. Which I gladlly decline. This was my 3rd visit here and last.

My wife and I did a last minute couples massage appointment here and the massage was fantastic. I’m not exactly sure what the style of massage was because I know at one point the massage therapist was standing on the table. They were almost like ninjas how fast and quietly they did it.But they worked out a few of my knotted muscles but also kept it relaxing.They do charge extra for Oils but I think there original price is so reasonable it only makes sense. One note I do have to mention is that there English wasn’t the greatest. All said and done I’d go back for sure, but I was only visiting the area.

We did a couples massage for my girlfriends Birthday. It was a very nice way for both of us to relax. The massage was very powerful and the staff was very friendly! Thank you so much for helping my girlfriend celebrate her Birthday!

Just got the best massage ever. This was the first time I have gone to Coco Health Spa Georgetown massage and I definitively will be returning. Upon entering the spa, I was skeptical because of their low prices. Im not going to lie, the waiting room is not at all what I pictured it to look like, nor the room I was in. My massage therapist was Wendy. She was great at maintaining strong pressure throughout my deep tissue massage and made sure that I was comfortable with it. Without asking me, Wendy was able to tell that my shoulders and back are problem areas for me and began working on them. Compared to other spas, their prices are amazing. I got a 90 minute massage and with tip it was only around ~150-160$. Many other places in the area charge 150$+ for massages of worse quality. Lol if you cant tell I am super happy I found this place :)

I had 90 min body and foot massage at this spa and it’s the best massage I’ve had in ages. Spa is clean and the masseuse was friendly. I had headache at beginning of my treatment and by the time I was done it was gone. She was communicative throughout my treatment and asked if the pressure was too hard but it was perfect. Unlike other fancy spas where your time is taken up by the setup and getting fancy water, the full time was treatment. I’m definitely coming back.

Upon entering, the place was pleasant and smelled great. Our masseuse greeted us and showed us the room.The first 20 minutes of the massage was great and then it kinda went downhill for me.. My masseuse tells me that she is going to be switching with someone and I had assumed it meant my partner’s masseuse as she kept looking in that direction. Turns out she was switching with this guy that was in the hallway that I supposed was telling her another customer had arrived.The switch was disruptive and I had told him to keep the pressure soft not even medium or hard. But he kept putting half of his weight and scratched the back of my arms because he had long nails. I was praying for the massage to end at that point…Also, I hope in the future the staff walks gentler and softer in the hallway. They were stomping as they walked around.I think the location is great. But the service we received was subpar and kind of like the other reviews that has been posted.

While my massage was OK, I had some problems with the service environment. Firstly, my masseuse did not speak a word of English and that is OK, of course, but it makes communicating pain/needs very hard. The most annoying thing was that someone was eating very loudly in the Massage room next to us, separated by a curtain. My masseuse did not understand me when I asked about the eating, and it was incredibly disruptive. It’s not worth $80.

By far the BEST full body massage I’ve ever had in my life! I’m not exaggerating Better than NYC!!! Yo-Yo is an intuitive and phenomenal practitioner and her 90 min deep tissue massage healed me . I had come from a wedding and a Beyoncé concert this past weekend, and my body was in real need of care and restoration. Even though I am from out of town, I DEFINITELY will be back!!!

My fiance and I went to DC this weekend, which happened to be his birthday, and we decided to celebrate with a couples massage at Coco health spa. We both love deep tissue, and two masseurs were so good that they stepped on my fiances back and he was so comfortable! The boss even free hot stone for us because the birthday! Business Hours details 10am - 12pm as happy hour which was not honored by the owner as I was told the information was from 2 years ago.I went because Im waiting for my insurance card to return to physical therapy but, happen to be in pain and in need of hands on care.The massage therapist could not have been anymore kind but the services provided could have been better.Ive been receiving massage and some form of physical therapy for my back for most of the last 28 years due to a spinal condition that has me permanently disabled from the work force.Their services simply did not meet my needs and are sub par in my opinion.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent 2 hour couples massage to start our Saturday! We like strong pressure and both therapists were quick to adjust to our requests throughout the massage. WE will definitely visit again the next time we are in DC!

This review is more than a year late. My wife and I made an impromptu trip to DC, early Fall of 2021. Both of us had been talking about getting a couples massage since weeks and keeping with the theme of the trip decided to get an impromptu couples massage at Coco Health Spa.The massage therapists were beyond excellent. I may be mispelling their names, but Cece and Lucy were simply amazing. At one point Lucy was standing on my back for the ULTIMATE deep tissue massage. To say my back was relieved would be an understatement!One of the fondest memories of that DC trip was the 60 minute couples massage at Coco Health Spa!!! Next time we are in DC, we are coming for round 2!!

Ive had MANY messages in my lifetime due to all sorts of chronic orthopedic issues. Coco was one of the BEST messages Ive ever had. If you really want a good deep tissue message, ask for it and hold on because its going to be painful but VERY effective. Im also sure they provide good relaxing messages as well (it thats your thing). We will be back.

I booked a 60-minute Deep Tissue massage as a birthday gift to myself; it was my first time coming to this massage parlor.Everyone was welcoming, however the interior of the shop, did not come across as welcoming and inviting. I felt kind of rushed in the beginning to take my clothes off, in order for my masseuse to get started.I also did not like the fact that she had the door where I was getting my massage slightly ajar. She had to leave the room to get the oil, they charge an additional $10.She did an excellent job in providing a deep tissue massage and I felt that the areas that I had knots were no longer tight. She took her time and the amount of pressure applied was just right.I would have given this place all 5 stars however, when it came time to pay and I went to the register. She got up and went to stand beside me and said $30 tip please. I also noticed they had a sign with the amount of tips, customers should pay to the masseuse. My service was $70 + $10 for the oil; I left her a $20 tip; I should not as a customer feel obligated to leave $30 tip.

Just finished a walk in 90 minute massage at this wonderful facility. I’ve had walk-in massages all over the country and this was hands-down the best. The owner massages me. And my daughter was massaged as well. Both practitioners were so strong and detailed. I highly recommend this amazing massage facility and will be back!!

This was my first massage so I obviously don’t have a good frame of reference for what constitutes a good massage vs a mediocre massage . That said, what occurred in Coco Spa for 60 minutes was life changing! I would highly recommend my masseuse, I believe her name was Cherri. She met the tension I had in my body with a constant firm pressure, coupled with unique stretches. Hands, elbows, knees, feet……each providing a different yet refreshing amount of pressure applied to my back, arms, chest, and legs.Again, overall this was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend. Will definitely come back and see Cherri for my future massage needs.

Worst massage experience!I booked a couple massage to treat ourselves, they ruined our day!The place was not clean, smell of mold, no music, super noisy (People were talking very loud outside), both masseuse didnt know anything about doing a massage and all the time I was scared they hurt us.Lady in the next room was making sounds like she was getting more than a regular massage (i even heard when masseuse asked for $50 more for extra services).PLEASE avoid this place!!!!!

The massage therapists were professional and did a thorough job massaging the entire body (even inside our ears!) while maintaining a consistent level of pressure. If you like serious massages, this is the place to get one. Good value for the money too.

Fantastic price for an even more incredible massage. Even with the add ons it doesnt break the bank. The rooms are small, dim, and relaxing. My only teeny complaint is that every so often the lady would check her phone and only use one hand. It was a little frustrating, but I feel so incredible that I cant even be mad.

OMG, I have had so many whove turned their back on me as masseuse was coming in, I was crying. She said forget about all that for 90 minutes and enjoy. I did as suggested, and I rememberd what my therapist said to be grateful for whats good in your life. It truly helped me refocus. The second time was even better.

Hard to relax here when staff are opening doors and having lengthy work discussions with the masseuse while you are getting massaged. Masseuse also will talk about the clients in Chinese assuming the clients dont understand.

I’ve tried about 20 different masseuses and multiple companies in the dmv area over the past 8 years. My experience at Coco is top 3. I had a full body massage with the older Asian gentleman Peter and it was excellent. It was not a standard Swedish massage. He moved along large and small body muscles, used different techniques I’ve never experienced w wonderful strength and pressure (I like harder massages). He also concentrated on tight areas. Hot stones at the end were relaxing. I felt great after, and slept very well that night surprisingly lol. The massage shop from the outside is small and the entryway is homey; do not judge a book by its cover; my massage was great and I will be coming back!

Awesome massage experience here with the older gentleman who is exceptionally professional. I had full body deep tissue massage for one hour and felt super relaxed at the end. He used different techniques and combined deep tissue massage with acupuncture. The pressure was just amazing. Hot stone helps a lot too. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife came here and it was our worst experience ever. I ended up in the hospital for back problems, lost $200 in tips, and recently recommended this to a friend now hes filing a police report on one of the ladies after he was forced on receiving something extra.

The deep tissue massage left me with horrible back pain and bruising. The masseuse used too much pressure even after being asked to lighten it. Not sure if she was having an off day, but it felt like my masseuse wasn’t sure of what she was doing.

Unfortunately, there is many reasons why I give them one to start. First of all, they are not professional and you can hear the next room. If you need oil you need to be $10 for that. And the coworker there they don’t even understand English or speak English.

The price is pretty decent the people are very welcoming I felt that the masseuse was very aggressive me and my fiancé got the couples massage and we paid $220 with oil came to $233 the price is actually great we tipped and the staff asked for more tip we tipped $20 she said oh no we need more extra make $40 I was in shock like are you serious it’s not a priority that I have too tip and you tell me that the tip is too low for you if that’s the case up your prices the experience is just ok also I paid for 90 minutes that charged me for the full 90 mins but I only received a 60 minute massage so yes the massage is just ok ….

The place is poorly designed and therefore very noisy, the masseuse was correct but the price is much too high and the way of insisting on the tip is simply unbearable.In addition you have the same presentation offered opposite cheaper and better done so I do not recommend this address
