This is the second time Ive planned a holiday, tech party at Capitale and both times its been a great experience! The Event Manager, Mathew, was extremely responsive via email requests and last minute changes. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The venue itself is awesome! You cant beat the fun decor with over-sized pillars, modern paintings, vintage furniture, etc. It definitely makes for some great photos. The layout is also great for showcasing a video/presentation, so all attendees can see it via the tvs above the bar and the main screen over the DJ booth. Our guests loved the overall experience. I would highly recommend Capitale for your next party!
Ive hosted 3 successful nonprofit happy hours at Capitale. The space is comfortable for large groups, and we coordinated with management to bring in caterers each time. The location is convenient, and has K Street Lounge sign outside if you are looking for the venue. It is wheelchair-accessible, and there is a paid garage lot around the corner. If you want to throw a party for 200 people, this is a good place to do so.
The service was absolutely horrid. The bartender stayed in one spot the entire time as if there werent people waiting on the other end. When I finally grew tired of being ignored I spoke for myself and the people whod been waiting alongside me and asked that the bartender service us as well, she agreed only to maintain her post at the other end as we approached 30 minutes of being completely ignored. I asked a gentleman who was dressed professionally behind the bar if he was the manager as hed been pacing behind the bar and giving free drinks to people it appeared that he knew, he advised me he was not. I asked if he worked there in efforts to be directed to who the manager was if he was not, and he told me that he did not work there. It was clear that he did and purposely advised me that he did not so that he could avoid helping us. I understand a busy bar, after all it is summertime in DC, but this is undoubtedly the most unprofessional establishment Ive been to and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone with an expectation to be serviced within a reasonable timeframe or at all for that matter.
I bought tickets to this places new years party this year. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to make it because my leave from the Army was cancelled. I tried reaching out to this place for 2 weeks to see if I could get a refund and cancel my tickets. The staff is completely unresponsive to emails, voicemail, and almost never picks up the phone when you call. The one time I was able to reach someone, the only thing they could do was tell me to email them.I would be fine if they wouldnt give me a refund, I understand not everyone can do that. But the complete disregard for someone who just spent 180 dollars on New Years tickets is sad. It says something about the management of a place when a customer cant reach someone at the business for 2 weeks straight (my wife and I called almost every day and sent multiple emails).
Just held an event at Capitale on November 20th, 2015. It was a Karaoke event and Capitale was awesome. They VERY accommodating with everything we needed. Everything was great from the service, the security, the bar and more. This is an extremely safe venue and I hope to work with them for all future events!
Place is pretty awesome, we hosted 2 holiday parties and we love it! The drinks are good and prices are reasonable. We had few comments that the sound was too loud and people couldnt talk.
Small venue with nice decor. I know alot of the DJs that play here and its always a fun time. Tables align the DJ booth on the right side while the bar aligns the left side. Drink prices are regular DC prices
For a night club its pretty good. Very spacious and well laid out. The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 is that the drinks are just okay and dont expect them to do anything fancy. I couldnt even get an old fashioned
This is the worst club ever in the whole entire DMV area. they had everyone stand outside for more than 50 minutes. Also the employees was very rude unprofessional and disrespectful. Me and more than 15 of my friends came to support capitale and won so call two tables but never even went in and knew it was a scam don’t go to this club I should have went by the comments instead of ignore it
$20 cover for a tiny bar, no dancing space (literally; I came here because Google suggested it for dancing, but theres no dance space here) expensive drinks, less than 50 other patrons her at midnight. The bar is spending as well, even for DC.
Private party. Mustafa the bartender was great. Remembered my wifes drinks all night. Very friendly even though he was busy serving alot of people.
OK place. Had a company holiday party there and it was a good time. I would have rated it higher if the valet didnt lose a co-workers keys and and they spelled their name correctly.
Low standard. no face control. saw people in shorts, sneakers, and baseball hats. 9ne looser had a backpack, still got let in. all on sat night w $20 cover including girls. music sucked. go some place else on sat.
There was an event there and a really tall lady told me there is no more open bar. I didnt know there was one in the first place I thought it was so rude. Just take my order. Tell me the price.
The security at the gate charged 40/person for entry on a Sunday night and I saw him splitting the money with another security guard. Totally unfair and unorganized.
Fri/Sat night depending on the DJ it is a hit or miss. Usually no line or cover at the door. Coat check is available inside.
Would have liked it more if it had less EDM and more hip hop.
This place was ok,went there to c a live band ( backyard band) ♡ go-go.
Had an epic wedding reception here!
Now hosting coffee pop up day side.
If you have Asian fever, this is the place to go.
