Love Love Love this dance studio! I’ve completed four dance lessons and I’ve really enjoyed it! Everyone is very welcoming and really makes learning to dance a lot of fun! I’ve worked with a few different dance instructors and all of them have been so patient and really explain the dance process very well! I highly recommend that you sign up if you are interested in learning how to dance!

My now-wife and I recently had the pleasure of taking multiple dance lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Clear Lake to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. We worked specifically with Remi, who made our experience truly exceptional.Despite our very limited time frame of just three weeks, Remi helped us feel completely comfortable. His considerate and patient nature, along with his ability to listen to our needs, made all the difference. We were both new to dancing, but Remi managed to choreograph a routine that was both elegant and stunning while keeping it simple enough for our skill level.Remis teaching style and attention to detail ensured that we felt confident and ready for our big day. Thanks to his guidance, our first dance was a memorable highlight of our wedding.We highly recommend Remi and Fred Astaire Dance Studios to anyone looking to learn to dance, whether for a special occasion or just for fun. The instructors were very knowledgeable. However, I had to cancel a couple of classes because I am on call. I have one more dance class and had to reschedule and told that I could not reschedule it. So I paid a bunch of money and I dont get the Last Dance class.

Xochitl (pronounced so-chill) was an absolute joy to work with. Her patience and expertise were like nothing my fiancé and I had ever experienced. She took the time to perfect each step with us so that we were 100% comfortable for our wedding day. A beautiful person inside and out, her positivity was a breath of fresh air each time we came in, and the entire studio radiated the same energy. Highly recommend this Fred Astaire location! We will be back!

My wife and I took a trial class to check it out. I was nervous and slightly reluctant because Ive never danced in my life but the staff at this location took away all my worry and made us feel right at home. Everyone is so nice and patient and great instructors. We signed up for a full year and are having so much fun with it. We both look forward to lesson day and the Friday parties. Cant recommend this place enough.

Amazing studio for all levels. My husband and I originally started going to prepare for our wedding but we have had such a good time we have been going for almost 2 years now. The instructors are experts in their field and very nice. Our two boys have started dance classes here now too. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn or sharpen their skills.

I was there for Royal Ballroom Blitz on Sept 9. Very experienced dance instructors have been teaching my son who had no any experience and he has mastered so many dancing skills in 8 lessons. That speaks a lot for their skills and dedications. Amazing studio for all the levels and ages.

The instructors here are incredible! I’ve always loved dancing and wanted to take lessons to prepare for my wedding and these are the best teachers I’ve ever had! They are the friendliest people and if you are having trouble with a dance move, they will find many other ways to help you learn. My husband and I learned so much in our past year of lessons here and our instructors helped put together an amazing dance for our wedding! If you love dancing, this is the place to be! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I decided to give dance lessons a go during Covid last year.. and we couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and kindness of the instructors!From the start we felt the attentiveness and diligence was top notch from Ellen and Peter..The time and effort required to skillfully flow through a dance became obvious shortly after starting our journey.. But the positive and patient instructors here make that challenge enjoyable!The goal of challenging ourselves and growing together in this practice has been very rewarding. And there are many opportunities here beyond just dancing during practice sessions. Dancing parties and events are plentiful and lots of fun :)

We used this dance studio to create a choreography for our wedding and they were superb! We worked with Peter and Xochitl; both are awesome instructors. They’re nice, encouraging, fun, and they really slow down all the movements for beginners like me. I am a person with two left feet, and lack all musical talent- even then, they managed to get me to believably dance my wedding choreography. Highly recommend!

Great dance studio! Staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I have always thought I have add two left feet when it comes to dancing. I am doing much better now. Awesome place.

My husband and I signed up for an introductory lesson but we’ve had so much fun, we’ve stayed. The entire staff is welcoming, funny, and supportive, in addition to being fantastic dancers and teachers. Each lesson has just the right amount of challenge and confidence building. Friday night dance parties and group lessons are included in the tuition, and we’re glad we get to participate in those. Adding dance to our lives has been a happy surprise! Great way to break out of your day to day routine.

I have been a member of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio Clear Lake for 11 years and can testify to their skill, dedication, and patience. Ellen is particularly good with children and the elderly (me on both counts).I have been taught by a World Champion and then by the six-time national champion of Belgium. I even got to dance with the regional youth dance champion of Texas. The point of choosing a national chain to learn dancing is that you can go to any completion, club, or studio across the country, and people will know your steps and be able to dance with you on the first try.

Honestly I went to this studio kind of on a dare from my friends to get out of my comfort zone and work on my confidence. I figured that I would just go in for a couple of lessons and that would be that. But the significant progress Ive made not only in my dancing ability but my social life, my confidence, my mental and physical health. has me continuously coming back and now striving to do the best I can in competitions. I would highly recommend this studio for any reason. just want to learn to dance? check, want to become more confident? check, physical activity? check, social environment? check. whatever your reason there is a dance for you. Instructors are fantastic as well. Debbie’s energy partnered with Ellen’s extremely helpful instruction on smooth dances has made me progress faster than I thought I would.

The absolute best place to learn how to dance or continue working on your skills. The instructors are AMAZING!! They always make me feel great about my abilities why still pushing me to try new things and get better. The whole studio is welcoming and it really feels like a dance family. Can not recommend enough.

Phenomenal studio. Great experienced and professional instructors with lots of achievements not only in their own dancing but in their students as well. If you are looking to be competitive in dancing or just looking for a fun hobby, they really cater to every goal. My wife and I started about 6 months ago along with my parents and we are having a blast!

Fred Astaire in Clear Lake is fabulous now. The new owners- Ellen and Peter and the newest instructors, Debbie and Remi, are formerly European champions in their respective dance styles. They are patient with all of us beginners. Every Friday there is a dance party which is a great chance to practice! So much fun!

We started practicing with the teachers at Fred Astaire Webster summer of 2021. We absolutely loved Ellen and Peter instantly. They were so patient, so talented, so fun to learn from! Then, a few months later, Debbie and Remi joined the team, and we were ecstatic to have two more incredibly talented pros to learn from and inspire us. I love them all and we’ve met so many lovely people who dance there too. We’ve renewed our membership over and over because we just love to dance and socialize with this group of people. They’ve taught us so many dances - tango, ChaCha, rumba, salsa, foxtrot, swing…. We have so much more we want to learn! You won’t regret joining this family!

Ellen and her team of experienced dance teachers do a phenomenal job of teaching many different dances. I knew how to 2-step before lessons started in January. Now I can do the rumba, Country waltz, and push pull. They bring lots of energy and fun!

First off, I don’t really dance. It has, no doubt, been a source of great pain and consternation to my Beloved Wife of over twenty years that the most I would ever do is take her on the floor and sway back and forth. Having attained adulthood without ever learning to dance, I thought it must be unnecessary.I am by all appearances an older, hopefully respectable man and that includes being gainfully employed, devoted as a husband, and attentive as a father. But I do not dance; at least I haven’t done so before.Of course, things change and our son will be getting married this year. Now I need to at least be able to dance at his wedding. I mentioned there was a Fred Astaire Dance Studio on the way home from work. Really close and convenient, right on FM 528 by the freeway. My wife took it from there.We started with introductory lessons and our instructor was amazing. Ellen is supremely talented and gracious. She knew exactly the right way to get us started. After two introductory lessons, we signed on for an immersion program. Even with our busy schedules, Ellen was able to make the timing work. We have learned three dances in a very short time and feel confident that we are making progress.Last night’s lesson was with Peter and he was also incredibly talented and a joy to work with. Both Peter and Ellen are welcoming and generous with their time and talent. It is an amazing way to learn a new skill that we will have forever.Dance night at Fred Astaire with Ellen and Peter has become “Date Night”. We have a wonderful time and Beloved Wife and I were just having coffee this morning and laughing about how much fun we had last night. Dancing has become a fun activity we share and I couldn’t be happier about it.They have other talented instructors and they offer so much for the program. There are private lessons, group classes, and even parties they host at the studio so you can practice, put your new skills to work, and have fun.Gentlemen, if you have ever thought the tiniest bit that you might like to learn how to dance, or get better at it, or just have a chance to enjoy time with the one you love, go and see what Ellen and Peter are offering at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Ladies, get your husband there however you can and tell him to just try. He may only think he doesn’t like dancing, what does he know? After all, I had no idea.

Peter and Ellen Ekkart, owners of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio - Clear Lake, are exceptional instructors! Dedicated and professional, they are both world-class dancers that are passionate about teaching dance. Their energy and enthusiasm is very inspiring for the students. My husband and I started taking classes almost a year ago, and we always look forward to our group classes, private lessons, the Friday night dance parties, and special workshops and coachings. The additional instructors at the Clear Lake studio are experienced, positive, and always encouraging. The entire team of instructors is wonderful at breaking down the steps so that learning is easy, and always a lot of fun. The Clear Lake studio has a friendly, welcoming environment, and has been a great place to make friends. Weve had an amazing experience, and I highly recommend the FADS-CL to anyone that wants to learn how to dance from instructors that are experts at their art, intelligent, thoughtful, and truly care about helping their students reach their dance goals.

They are the best here! If you have danced at other studios like I have then you know that sometimes they can be uptight and unfriendly, well not this place! They make you feel so comfortable and at home and are extremely encouraging. My husband was so skeptical at first, to join me, and they definitely changed his mind because now this is his favorite activity for us to do together!

We are thoroughly enjoying our lessons at this studio. Ellen & Peter and their entire team are amazing. Highly recommend.

Big family of likeminded people in a healthy and enjoyable environment. Come in with 2 left feet, walk out thinking you are Fred Astaire. Extremely experienced, talented, fabulous, playful and respectful instructors who will help you reach your goal, whatever that may be. I don’t know how long I’ll be dancing but if I can dance, it will be at FA Clear Lake with Peter/Ellen, Rémi/Debbie and the other fabulous instructors at the studio. Living my best life .

I started dancing here just to prepare for my wedding, but the enthusiasm of the instructors, the professionalism of the staff, and the inclusiveness of the community have made this a new hobby for my wife and me. I cant say enough good things about Ellen, Peter, Remi, and Debbie!

What I love most about this studio is its fun and inviting community of students and teachers. Peter & Ellen are wonderful teachers for all skill levels, and you can tell that they really enjoy teaching! Whether youre solo or learning with a partner, this studio provides both private lessons and lively social dance opportunities in group class and Friday night parties.

Have been dancing here for over a year now. The international talent that the owners bring to this studio has been amazing. They are really passionate about dancing, and passionate about teaching.

Ellen was fantastic! She took two people that had never danced together and taught them a dance in a very short period of time. She was soo patient!! We both would recommend her and hope to see her again soon!

This is one of the best dance studio that promotes individual growth and improvement as well as fostering a friendly family environment. Well worth taking dance lessons and group classes.

Been studying here for several years, Staff is great and very knowledgeable, currently new owners, who are wonderful. Lots of dance styles to learn, lots of great friends. The most fun you can have.

Just called and spoke to Lindsey and she was fantastic on the phone! I swear if I owned a company that needed someone in sales on the phone I would try to steal her. She was top notch! We set our appointment and we are excited thanks to her :)
