Had a great time here. Your experience will vary based on the band(s) playing, but I think itll mostly be hard rock. Food wasnt too bad, a little dry but overall pretty good. Security is good, tons of friendly faces, youll have a good time here I can assure you. Great location too. Great place to see bands play, albeit a little small compared to other typical venues in LA but this is a good one.
I won one of the 100 tickets to see The Warning’s album release show for their new album, Keep Me Fed, on June 26, 2024. The doors were opening at 7 pm, but people had started lining up at way before 5. I got there around 5:30. I had heard of the Whisky a Go Go from stories about Van Halen. It was a great show and I was excited to be at such a legendary facility.
I have always wanted to go to Whiskey a GoGo. The history is so deep and rich. Every famous person has graced their stages. We stopped in during the day as it is now open to people who just want to see.It did not disappoint! They are setting up for a live band tonight. We were able to tour the entire place as well as have a drink. They even offered tickets for tonight. You can feel the rock and roll magic!
Was on my bucket list.Excellent Rock venue. Not a massive place, but great to watch up and coming or more established bands. There are tickets for general standing and tables/ booths that you pay for and are quite expensive. There are two bars on street level and one upstairs, which is great as you dont have the wait to be served a drink. Prices are competitive. There are mens and womens separate toilets. The venue is wheelchair friendly, but I dont recall whether the restrooms are.
This was my first time here. My friend was performing and I didnt want to miss it. I love the space. There were two floors for the audience. The second floor was reserved and had seating and some had tables. The first floor had a few booths but mainly standing room. I believe they served food. They definitely served drinks. It wasnt very packed on a Thursday night. The crowd was very supportive and encouraging. Staff was professional and friendly.
Был концерт кавер песен, группа выглядит как настоящие рок звезды, харизма выступлений, отличный звук и полный зал слушателей) одним стаканом пива мы, конечно не ограничились 😅🙌(Translated by Google)Indescribably cool atmosphere of the historical place where great musicians began their journey and played! We came here after dinner at the Rainbow Bar literally a stones throw away, we wanted a beer and listen to a couple of songs from a live performance. At the entrance, we asked just to drink beer and let us through without taking any money for entry. The security guard talked to the administration, they approved and they let us in.There was a concert of cover songs, the band looked like real rock stars, the charisma of the performances, excellent sound and a full hall of listeners) of course we didn’t limit ourselves to just one glass of beer 😅🙌
Its good. Intimate atmosphere. I love the upstairs area looking down over the little stage.I actually went years ago. I remember paying a valet but not a cover charge. Not sure what it is lately. But who cares, its so rich in music history! Go at least once to have a beer and move on if the band isnt great.
Such an iconic place! Enjoyed a Jack * Coke (actually Dr Pepper) and chatted with the Bartender while there. Very courteous and knowledgeable of the sites History. Hope I get more opportunities to visit this iconic night spot especially when Live entertainment is scheduled! 😎Someone was also filming B-roll footage while I was there! Quite a different environment being in Hollywood fo sho!
Nothing better than seeing a show at the historical Whiskey A Go Go, well….. unless you get to see your son performing with the awesome SOR House Band. Nothing is better than that! The line to get in went around the block but the employees and Security were great, they got through the line fairly quickly. There are some nice booths on the 1st floor you can reserve, I believe they are around $400 and include a set amount of tickets and bottle service. We reserved seating on the second floor which was $75 and was next to the railing but was perfect because we had the best view of the stage. The booths downstairs are nice but when crowded the view is not so great since everyone is standing on the floor. There is a bar downstairs and one upstairs (the one upstairs opened a little later than the one on the 1st floor). They do have finger type food you can order as well. We got our son potato skins and he enjoyed them, prices are decent for both food and drinks (again especially in the area).Overall the sound was pretty good, the band sounded amazing plus it is just an amazingly iconic venue. The staff was super cool and whether it was entering the venue, getting a drink, or a bite to eat they got through everything quickly (especially since it was very crowded). The show was fun and again it made it that much better being that we got to see these amazing young adults perform. If you have a chance to check out a show there, it is fun. Whiskey is large enough to have a nice show yet you feel intimate enough to enjoy without thousands of people.
Best bar I have ever been to!! Live music was incredible & drinks were great. Prices weren’t too bad considering it’s the Sunset Strip. The bouncer was really funny and talked with us everytime we stepped outside for a few minutes, and the bartenders were all friendly with great service. And the history of this spot just makes it even better!! Cannot recommend enough!
Checked out a great band from Orange County - Rozco Blanco - at the Whisky on February 3 and worked the show as a photographer.Need to say that everyone at the Whisky who played a part in putting the show together was friendly, down to earth, professional, and helpful. Just an incredible staff to work with: Tyler for booking, Jeff with sound, Todd with getting backstage access, Tisa with the tickets, the bouncers, and the service staff ... everyone was great. Made it a fun and enjoyable evening for everyone in attendance!Cant wait to be back for another show at the Whisky a Go-Go!
We wanted to see the building but they were open for happy hour. We were able to look around, take pictures, and get on stage. Unfortunately we didnt have time to see a band but it was a good as it gets to just be there.Had a drink, bought a shirt. Waitress (forgot her name) was AWESOME!!!!
I came here last week to see Bleed the Fifth and Tommy Vext. There is valet parking behind the building. Bring cash. The crowd at Whiskey a Go Go was pretty diverse in age, which was cool to see. My husband and I ordered chicken strips, they were surprisingly good. The drinks were decent but a little on the weak side.We bought tickets that included a table-which I recommend. The venue will tape your name to the table that is reserved so there are no mix ups. The view was great from the balcony and if you want to enjoy the music and avoid any potential mosh pits, this is the way to go. The venue itself is a good size if you want to be at an event without getting lost. It’s intimate enough that everyone can see the band from the bottom and top floors. The sound and lighting was great too.The staff were helpful except for the woman selling shirts. She was particularly rude and nasty for no reason.Overall, we had an amazing time and enjoyed the music very much.I recommend coming here especially if Tommy Vext is playing. The other bands were amazing as well!
Came here the first night of my vacation in LA. Friendly security, great drinks. The venue is legendary, and Smiths cover band wasn’t too bad. Only issue was that I was way too tired to stay longer. Much better customer service than they Lemmy headquarters down the street
My band Addict3d just recently played at the Whisky in November, me and the guys had a freaking blast. Well number one the place is iconic and we performed on the same stage as many others in the past. Definitely a memory that Ill keep dear to my heart. Security, those guys were awesome. The bartenders were quick to get your drink and we had food there also and I would have to say the best chicken strip basket on the Sunset Strip. Well definitely be back. And thanks for having us Whisky.
We went to see Robbie Krieger with a doors cover band. Robbie Krieger is really old, however the man played for 3 hours and rocked the house down. My respects to himWhiskey a Go Go is a legendary place, they serve decent food, however on a Monday we had to wait in line outside over an hour, buying tickets didn’t help at all with the slow service. The parking place is a rip off: 25$ and is valet. Beware with this. The few tables the place had were the VIP. The staff organised those tables is the second floor right at the balcony in a way that there were no space for others to get near and downstairs it was over capacity, not a soul could fit there. So we had to go upstairs and watch in the back. Very uncomfortable, basically there’s space for another 100 people upstairs if they could just put the tables in a better array
Finally posting this review of a place that needs no reviews! We went for some morning day drinking before the Rainbow 51st show. Not only did we experience The Whiskey during the day but Billy Biohazard from the band Biohazard was the guest bartender serving up Ghost Tequila. The staff was the friendliest you could ever experience! Billy and the servers are pictures in my review. Friendly as hell! All of them. It’s a true Sunset Hollywood experience. You can feel the energy when you walk in the door! The drinks are made by pros and the place is simply amazing. It’s a must do when visiting LA! Don’t miss it!
Great history here. My boyfriend and I came over 2000 miles to see this gem! I highly recommend checking out where most of the musical stars got their start
This amazing place was on my bucket list of places I must visit before I die. If you love rock and metal music this is the place to go if you are in town. The history of the amazing bands that have played there legendary! Thank you to the two nice rocker guys outside that took our pictures for us and mad the night so fun! 🤘🏾
Had an excellent time celebrating Afroman’s 50th birthday with my family. Venue was accommodating for my family including my 7 year old son. Bartender ‘Shawna’ was absolutely wonderful. Give that lady a raise!
Iconic piece of Los Angeles Sunset Strip rock music history since 1964 with performances by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Buffalo Springfield, Jim Morrison and the Doors, Blondie, Oasis, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Otis Redding, Cream, Soundgarden, Guns N Roses plus hundreds more of classic to modern day music legends. A must-see stop for any true music fan!
The live bands makes it a better experience. Its a small place so be prepared to be squished when theres bands playing. But other than that its a good atmosphere.
Best sound I heard in a minute a lot famous people played there in was cool af
Sad shell of what once was. Doesn’t look like it’s been renovated since the hair metal era - looks like any other dilapidated bar/venue in middle America. Plus the security are overbearing, even inside the venue. Sad state.
Nice place. It definitely gets by on history and reputation, which is why I went.Had the worst Old Fashioned I have ever tasted, had to throw it in the trash.Saw a concert with small attendance, good soundman and friendly bouncers.Night was marred by an overzealous security guy policing people standing outside the borders of the dancefloor threatening to kick them out.Bartenders seemed paranoid or very stressed, despite it being a small concert.Made a trip to visit while travelling and wouldnt rush back there.Jan. 25/2024
Wow 🤩. Been there a few times to go see the best Doors cover Band Wild Child. I showed up late one time and the people in front still let me in (I did say I knew one of the band members) aka kit the legend…..to have the best nights of my life. Wild Child performance was phenomenal and they played 3 encores and I got to meet the band members!!
This place has a LOT to work on. 2/5 because it is at least clean. When i first arrived, the parking was $25, and not wheelchair accessible in the slightest. Absolutely on a steep hill thats even hard to walk on without falling, and the parking literally makes no sense to have cars park on three sides of yours, with no ability to leave unless the person in front of you moves. The front booth ticket salesman was nice, and the security was nice. The venue is clean, and there are cool booths and a very nice concert set up. I went here to see Saving Abel and Sons on Fire, and the bands were very nice. The sound guy in the bar did NOT know what he was doing, and each professional band had difficulty with their soundcheck because the sound guy kept messing around with the buttons, without fully having knowledge of what to do. The sound system even screeched a few times, because the sound producer here clearly needs more experience. In his defense, it was his first night, but In the middle of Ancient Sins, the sound even completely went out. I order a drink with the bartender, and in the middle of the conversation, she turned to the person next to me and asked what they wanted to drink. My sister then ordered, and she didnt even ask if it was on the card or not. They only give you an 8oz cup for a $16 drink! Thats insane, and it was full of ice. The tables are very small, 2 ft by 2 ft and small, broken, crooked chairs that wobble. I walked up to the bartender to order food Can i please have a cheeseburger and fries and in the middle of our conversation, she goes to the end of the bar and talks to a couple waiting to order drinks. The bartender literally left in the middle of our conversation when I wasnt even done ordering yet. She starts making their drink!!! When her and i did not even finish our conversation. She returns back to me, and i asked how many chicken fingers are there? And she says five and goes to another couple next to me, and starts talking to them, while again, in the middle of our conversation. I wait AGAIN as she starts making their drinks!! Im like are you serious... Eventually i said I just want the chicken tenders with a side of curly fries, and potato wedges and she said on top of the cheeseburger and fries? I said No, i just want chicken tenders, with a side of fries, and an order of potato wedges. She looked at me all angry, and in the rudest way said I already put the cheeseburger order in! The kitchen is already making it (by then, ten minutes had passed since i said cheeseburger), and i just cant help but blame her for constantly cutting our conversation short! And she didnt give me a receipt. 20 minutes later, i walk up and the chicken tenders are LITERALLY BURNT AND ROCK HARD. The fries were burnt, hard, dry, and super greasy. She charged me for a full plate of fries, instead of a side. I ended up paying $35 for disgusting food. I literally feel sick after eating it. Definitely not worth it. The bands are cool, but honestly, they need to upgrade their venue or the bands should choose a different venue that actually has good food and better customer service. Immediately
Havent been to the whiskey in 15 -20 years until the other night to see some friends play.. the wait was kinda long but the show and the booth were worth it . Good non alcoholic beverages for those of us who dont drink and great food. . I lookforward to returning again for another show ...sooner then befor lol
One of the quintessential musical landmarks of Los Angeles, most of what can be said about this remarkable venue has already been said-and then some! The bands booked here are stellar and solid. Many rising up and comers get their start here and it’s the perfect incubating spot for musicians of all varieties to hone their craft with an upward trajectory. The sound here for live music is extremely tight and sonically on the mark. The crowds are generally social and welcoming and it’s not a rough club scene. It attracts a more hard edged sound/bands at times, but the versatility of bands can’t be understated. You have bands of all musical breed playing here. It’s definitely worth it to check it out! My band played here a number of years ago and it was a fantastic experience with a great vibe.
Such a great experience to see where our favourite bands have all performed. Staff are all amazing!!
I went here to see myah. I had a great time. The venue was clean and the acoustics were great. I will return.
Had a great time! Was excited to step through these doors for obvious reasons. Great bands fun night.
Been going to the Whisky-A-Go-Go since 1985. Not once have I ever not had the greatest time. Each time just gets better and better. The owner treats the patrons very well. Many great bands started here and the history is phenomenal. One of my favorite places in America.
What a great Halloween party and private venue that took place at the Whisky A Go-Go!! Ive never been here and I can see now why its so popular! The lay out of the space and stage, the sound, ambiance and vibe were incredible! The food trucks were hired and well done as well as great service and security!I will definitely head back again. I was impressed with the intimacy of the proximity of the stage and the sound quality.Great epic night to check off my historical list of things to do!
Fun venue that features live bands from all genres. My recent visit was to see Bonfire (tribute band yo AC/DC), and they rocked the house! Sound system is supurb. Plenty of space to move about. Bar service was quick. Employees friendly. Restrooms clean. Very organized in moving one band off the stage when their set is done and the next band to set up. On site security (bouncers) take care of business - no dilly dallying.
Historic live music venue that stands its reputation. Watched 6 very good bands and enjoyed it a lot
Always a blast at this local cozy venue. All the greats have played here and many more to come.
I love Tuesday night HOLLYWOOD ultimate jam hosted by Paulie D. Not only is it free on Tuesday nights (of course you are absolutely encourage to buy drinks as you should! ) The venue is famous! The artists that perform are epic! Some are literally legends. Last Tuesday was Best of Southern Rock , and Freebird was the last song of the night! I was BLOWN AWAY! I met Chuck Wright from quiet riot and Jason Charles Miller, the entire band HILLBILLY HERALD! I had such a great time!!! Long live rock and roll!
Got my daughter tickets to see The Birthday Massacre for her birthday! First concert ever! The staff here are so inviting and go the extra mile to make the experience memorable. All ages venue, well organized and the fans, at least at this concert treated my daughter like a princess! She will never forget this night, thank you Whisky a Go Go!!!
Iconic Rock and Roll classic music hall on Sunset with countless stories and performances from music legends including : The Doors, The Byrds, Captain Beefheart, The Mothers of Invention, Buffalo Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Love, The Stooges, Parliament-Funkadelic, The Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, No Doubt, System of a Down, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Chicago, Germs, Elton John, Oasis, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, Rush, Johnny Rivers, X, Fleetwood Mac, KISS, Guns N Roses, Death, AC/DC, Golden Earring, Linkin Park, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Stryper
Wow nostalgia in the walls, echoes of past and future. Lil Litty up and coming teen rapper debuted here, the staff were freakin awesome, made every effort to accommodate us, it was an honor to even been in the building we came here to witness the birth of a young fledgling career. The Whiskey has been here so so long they are venue Royalty. They still keep their ears to the ground to find fresh new acts, thats so edgy that so rock and roll
Great place to play. The venue is awesome.. all the greats have blessed this stage...
Whiskey a Go Go provided an unforgettable platform for my band to showcase our talent, opening for the incredible Powerman 5000 and Julien-K. The iconic venues electric atmosphere, top-notch sound system, and passionate audience created a night to remember. The staffs professionalism and the seamless organization made our experience truly five-star. Whiskey a Go Go is the ultimate destination for any aspiring artist, offering a stage that elevates performances to new heights. A night filled with music, energy, and camaraderie – thank you, Whiskey a Go Go, for making dreams come true!
Its the Whisky. Its always going to have the hint of a dive bar around it. Ive been coming here for years. Almost as long as Los Lobos has been playing there. Show was great as they usually are. I will try to reserve a table upstairs next time. The place is a piece of Los Angeles history. Worth checking out if you dont mind standing through a show.
Great lineup with local and out of town talent. Pretty Boy Floyd, and TangenT were great but Civil Strife and Villa Nova were awesome lead up bands. The lead guitarists in those bands were totally rad!
Great staff, fun atmosphere, iconic venue, memorable shows!
Very good rock music but very crowded but still had a blast
Saw a excellent show FiveHeadedCorba Just a incredible band that absolutely rocked the Whiskey A Go Go.
A great place to see a show. Definitely pre drink. Its pricey
It is the perfect place to listen to your favorite rock and enjoy the variety of drinks.
The vibe is amazing. Theres a dance floor in front of the stage to jam away. I enjoyed the option of having multiple bars to choose from. The photos of the rock stars and history were a very nice touch. The tickets were only $20 and its a great place to network and meet like minded individuals.
THE place for L.A. Rock and Roll history.Starting in the 1960s, the Whisky has helped new bands become legendary performers. The Doors played here. The A list of greats that sang in this place rivals the Hall of Fame.Sit where the Beatles did or have a drink.Take in the band. They may be a future Grammy winner. The Whisky a Go Go is the ultimate music experience.George Vreeland Hill
The Whisky is the place. It needs no review and you cannot critique it. It is an icon that is above and beyond any opinion. This is where it all started, where it all went down, and where it will continue on forever. We will lose our legends along the way, be it a Lemmy or an Eddie, but Rock and Roll will NEVER die. And The Whisky is the place that will keep it alive, as a venue and a monument, to the spirit of freedom and expression that rock music represents. Today we all mourn the passing of Eddie Van Halen - the undisputed GOAT of guitar. As we all know Van Halen got their start, as so many bands did, right here at the corner of Clark and Sunset. And it is here they will all live on.
Warning to bands looking to play here: Extremely disappointed in the staff at the Whiskey. This venue has a rich history of supporting up and coming artists no matter who or what they are. Music is an artform and comes in all different packages. Discrimination and bias should never be present in a venue that is supposed to be supporting expression. The fact that their staff can not perform their jobs professionally is gross. The Whiskey recently had a show in which punk and punk adjacent bands were performing. The sound staff who control movement of sound checks, quality of sound, and are expected to have knowlege about how sound equipment works, performed their jobs disturbingly. Sound check was too long. The bands opening and closing got a sound check. Before opening, the sound technicians allowed the closing band to take an eternity for check, spilling into the first bands time. When the band I am following got to set up they showed questionable knowledge for how a wireless mic is plugged into the house board. (You.... plug it directly in. It isnt complicated.) And also said they didnt have room. (How? It wasnt a 20 piece band.) And when my interest band got on stage the sound staff screwed with the sound while laughing through the entire set. This is a venue you have to pay up front to play at. You hope you can sell enough tickets to make up some loss, and then on top of that they take a merch percentage. Up and coming bands save for shows like this expecting a loss but gaining exposure and a stage to add to their resumes. When youre paying hundreds of dollars up front and your sound people cant get past someone different on stage long enough to no longer perform their job professionally but instead showing massive discrimination and bias, theresa problem. Management should consider a retraining or replace some of your staff. Such a disgusting experience. As someone who is from the south bay punk scene, we are used to people who are different and embrace it. Thats the whole point. The Whiskey has been a cornerstone for the southbay punk scene for many many years. The Whiskey has seen its fair share of the bizzare and different. With some moving up to greatness. But with staff who dont embrace differences, your venue will crumble. If youre planning on playing at this venue, perhaps reconsider. There are plenty of venues that respect the art of music enough not to purposefully ruin bands experiences and opportunities.
Saw Hellyeah on 6/18/17 it was amazing! Little issue with bringing a purse in, which was ridiculous since I emptied the contents into my husbands shorts pockets and they had no problem with his full pockets. Also saw a woman with her LARGE purse walking around. Stupid. But the band was amazing in this small venue! The pit was impressive!
Epic place, epic vibe. If you are in LA you MUST go. Go!!
Still very cool place.About average food and drink costs for the area.
Saw 5 bands here on a Sunday night. Wasnt super crowded but the upstairs and downstairs bars were both open. I used the upstairs bar mostly and the service was excellent. Super friendly staff, great selection of drinks and good prices.
I love the Whiskey! I cannot wait for my next trip back! I think that is one of the best sounding house kits Ive ever heard! The sound was incredible lights were fantastic it, was an amazing experience and I hope to be back very soon hopefully to see Lost Circus 🎪😁!!
Was great to see the venue where The Doors started off but it’s turned into a complete tourist trap these days unfortunately. I forgot my ID but was offered to be let in if I basically bribed the doorman with $20 (this was back in 2019)… have to say that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Very expensive too. It’s a pity what’s happened to the place given it’s historical importance.
Smaller than I thought it would be, but it was a fantastic, iconic venue. You can feel the history. Dickies played their annual show to a great crowd. Highly recommend!!
Great club we got a booth in back had food and drink all nite with great service
Awesome old school rock venue to see shows
Great, classic music venue. Super fun to see our favorite local band there!
This is the epic place weve all heard/read about. Its small, divey, and dark and exactly what youd want in a live music venue. The walls and fixtures ooze history, and you can only imagine the epic shows that were held here.Sound is great, staff super cool, and prices are resonable (for LA). If you want to relive the past or rock in the present, the Whiskey is a must.
The worst venue in California. The sound was absolutely horrible, guitars, mics, drums. Everything was malfunctioning and not working with no fix. One of the headliners, Haunt, quit after 2 songs and left the stage due to the horrible sound quality and this also being a pay to play venue. When the main band Satan came on (At midnight), they couldnt even get the lead guitar working and had to stop the show. Again with no fix. This venue used to be good years ago, but now it needs to get shut down. Anyone at the show tonight should dispute their ticket purchase and support these amazing bands at another venue. I recommend Brick by Brick
I love that this is a small, intimate venue. Cant wait to visit again!
Getting to go inside was a dream come true. My wife and I were able to go to Happy Hour during our Honeymoon and our bartender Lillie was so awesome. Great beer on tap!
Great place to see your favorite band play.
If you wanna see big names in a small club, this is the place. The Stooges, Alice Cooper (who recorded a live album there in 1969), The Doors, No Doubt, System of a Down, The Byrds, Germs, Buffalo Springfield, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, Johnny Rivers, X, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Guns N Roses, Death, AC/DC, Linkin Park, and Mötley Crüe. In 2006, the venue was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. -WikipediaHad the pleasure of meeting a few on, and not on this list, (by no means complete)And meeting Pat Traverse in the Green Room last year wasnt too shabby either.Shout out to The Road Vikings! I love that band :*
Quaint little place for the up and coming bands. Staff is great and up close and in your face at the stage for your favs. The only drawback is finding parking. Its either metered or permits parking only on all side streets in neighborhoods.
Attended an incredible Battle of the Bands fundraiser. Its quite an experience to be there but theres much room for improvement. Music was great but I should have brought earplugs as it felt like the sound was bouncing off the walls many times over. In the 3 hours we were there in the VIP section, no one cleared our table... obviously understaffed. No way to know when your food is ready other than checking at the bar over and over. Ordering is difficult because of the noise and understaffing. Floor very sticky. Womens bathroom door lock broken, as it was a year ago at the same event. Owners obviously dont give a $#!(.
Traveled from the nederlands to LA to are the whiskeyyagogo. Wanted to see it for q really long time. There was a special gig (greenday surprise show) really Nice and all, but waited hours and didnt get a wristband and couldnt get in. Viper room was closed as well. I Dont have the time left unfortunatly to stay Any longer so i Dont think ill ever gonna see this place.
80s has been/ gone to seed/we all look like Barney Rubble now/sunset boulevard tour/2024
Great place to see a show. Next time I might bring sunglasses, the stage lights into the crowd can be quite bright.
Amazing place, everyone should go at least once.
I hadn’t been to a live music show since C19 so it was an amazing experience back into the atmosphere that nourishes my spirit; music. And the last time I was at the Whiskey I was attending a Van Halen gig in ‘78. So I did the math and I won’t tell you the number. When Kip mentioned they’d been together for 38 years, I realized I need to go “party” more often.Winger bright the sky down and all I heard from the various ages in the audience was how they completely killed it! Young, old & in between. Kip mentioned he appreciated us turning the youngsters into fans too.Who wouldn’t once you hear them live; fantastic. Not even close to a swiftie!”Even the musicians were blow away, especially when all 4 musicians lined up and just busted out like a runaway freight train at full speed and increasing each turn…This is real rock from their souls music. Entrance $50 Parking $20 Winger live ~PRICELESS… ever since the first show at 6 Flags Santa Vlara, LA, NY, Atlanta, San Juan, and Golden I was amazed they could be any better but they truly were. And they had fun because we were enjoying singing along. We all rocked Thursday night at the Whiskey. (Even if it was over 40 years later give or take.)
The world famous Whisky A Go Go! Definitely a must see. Awesome, intimate venue. Highly recommend seeing your favorite band here! 10/10
Best place on the Sunset Strip that is still alive and kicking!!! Excellent drinks with two full bars. They also have a short food menu that is great for its atmosphere! Dont forget that it has live music during the week and weekends! Check out there calendar for the best music in town.
Up and Close w the bands..Sound was awesome.. Small venue upstairs an downstairs w seating an bar stool tables.. bars on the 1st floor and 2nd floor..Parking can be an issue..
Its the famous Whiskey!Still small. Drinks are still watered down and overpriced. Bouncers still police you into a tiny box when no one is around.Slightly better than a swift kick in the junk
Lucky we got a pre ordered boot ...or else long standing time to view the concerts
Ticket is way to much and drinks $15.00, but is a nice place for rock
An iconic music venue that is well worth a visit. I was invited along by an old girlfriend to watch a band that included a guy we had met a few years prior. We were in LA for a festival and couldnt pass up the chance to go and it didnt disappoint. The beer was reasonably priced for a live venue and the bands sounded good even though they werent really to my taste.Im glad I went.
I was very excited to see a show at this piece of music history. I wasnt disappointed. The obviously annoyed bouncers trying to keep a walkway around the dance floor clear for a walkway were distracting, however. Im assuming its fire codes or something but maybe put tape lines on the floor would help to delineate the walkway better? Other than that... great experience!
Cool, and cozy place to watch bands perform.
It’s hard to rate this venue as it’s pretty much different every night with different bands. I went there on my first night in America and it was probably my best night. I had more fun there than there Vegas. It was a Monday night and I didn’t expect much then an 80s cover band called FastTimes kicked up some great pop/rock songs - the nostalgia was through the roof. 18 hours of no sleep on a flight from hell and maxed jet lag didn’t stop me from enjoying this night. Thanks to the club and the band.
Excellent staff at the Whisky on a guest level and a performer level. The sound is incredible and the drinks are poured well!
I love the live music. Prices for tickets arent bad. Drinks at the bar are good. My only issue is that it gets so crowded and its really hard to get a good view of the stage and security will pack you in like sardines if they have too. I try to get there early for the shows I want to see to get a good spot. The music makes it worth it!
My daughter and I went there for the Zeppelin Revival with Mr. Jimmy. Enjoyed the show which was over the top, and for me it felt like jumping right back into the 80s for the night! Top quality act, not to mention its an iconic club.
Really great time! If you get there when the doors open, you can grab a booth or table and enjoy the show. We had very attentive service!
We always have a great time at this music venue!
