Jalysa is an excellent masseuse. She applied adequate pressure and made me very comfortable. I called the day before and spoke with Carly and she set up the appointment since it was a gift through Groupon however when I arrived the front desk person was still confused.

I have had the best experience with staff @ MassageLuXe Wilmington. The reception staff is extremely knowledgeable about products and services, they upsell without being pushy by explaining the benefits of each service or add on. They are very friendly and outgoing and its clear that the objective is to create lasting relationships with their customers. My massage therapist, Angela, was OUTSTANDING! It wasnt necessary for me to ask her to increase or decrease pressure. Shes extremely intuitive so I enjoyed the entire service. I scheduled my next session on the way out to make sure I could get in! Definitely recommend.

Amazing front desk service from the very beginning. The massage was top notch service and the masseur did an exellent job. The manager was great and friendly and there products look very promising. The ambience was just right, with the only exception to be the light in the room to be a little too bright. None the less, great place to go for a good massage.

This was me and my mother first time. I treated her to a massage for her birthday on 4/11. The entire experience was great from beginning to end. I had a woman massage therapist and my mother had a man massage therapist.The massage was so relaxing and the staff were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. My body felt so much better after. My mother and I had an hour session and I was mad when it ended lol. The only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have rooms for couple massages so me and my mom had to be in separate rooms but other than that they provided an amazing experience for us. We will definitely be back again soon.

By far the worst massage Ive ever had. I give it 2 stars and not 1 because the facility was clean, calming and the staff was nice. The massage was horrible. The Asian therapist, Amanda I think her name is, massaged as if she had no idea what to do. I have monthly massages so this is not my first rodeo. I chose this place so my husband and I could get massages for our anniversary and the experience was anything but relaxing. My therapist rubbed me so fast, pinched my skin, and beat my hands and feet like I was in the nail salon. There was no method or relaxation as she moved from different parts of my body. She has no routine. I almost asked her a few times if she knew what she was doing? She was loud walking around me and she put the massage lotion bottle between my legs and used it from there. I had to ask her for the pillow for my legs and then when it was almost done, she used a towel to wipe me off from the back of my neck to my toes before she asked me to turn over. Ive NEVER experienced anything like this and I was SO disappointed because my husband and I were really looking forward to it. In all honesty, I left out more stressed and my body was not left feeling better at all. And I only asked for a basic Swedish. His massage wasnt any better but this is my experience. I wasted $160 and the relaxation we really wanted on out Anniversary just didnt happen.

Not a fan. First i had to sign a bunch of documents promising I wasnt going to jump on her. Second she didnt do what I asked. I asked for help with my shoulder and special attention to it. The massage was ok but not what I asked for. Not going back

My friend and I went for a deep tissue massage today and we are so glad we did. My person was the best. Her name is DJ. I highly recommend her. She has the best hands and a very nice person. She listened to everything I had to say and did exactly what I ask for . Go see them they are awesome.

They made something that was supposed to be relaxing a stressful one. The front desk employees and “manager” are very unorganized. My aunt gifted one of her monthly massages to me. When I went, I let them know I had a baby a week ago and my lower back was an area I would want to be focused on. The therapist DJ, who was 20 minutes late to our scheduled appointment and came in smelling like cigarette smoke told me she had to check with her manager if it would be allowed to continue with my massage since it could be dangerous… okay. In the waiting room full of people also waiting for their service, the woman tried to talk to me about how they couldn’t continue with the session and I would need a note from my doctor. I asked if we could go up front where it’s more private to talk. They seriously lacked professionalism and manners. I just came to the conclusion that I will reschedule and get a note from my doctor that I can get a massage as ridiculous as that sounds, as it does not state anywhere you cannot get a massage after having a baby. The woman even said “we do prenatal massages but I’m not sure about post partum so I would have to ask my manager…” VERY unprofessional. Fast forward to the new appointment after the end of a very relaxing massage…Right back with more stress from the front desk staff. Saying that it is not showing on their end the gift receipt my aunt transferred in my name. Not to mention she had to pay a fee when she had it transferred her massage over into my name for whatever reason. They wanted me to call her and have her say she transferred it.. it was a whole mess. All in all this place that is supposed to alleviate stress did everything but that. The massage therapist was excellent and I tipped her well. However management, and front desk people need serious customer service training and organization skills. Completely ruined my experience and will stick to other reputable places.

I requested to cancel my membership by phone why can’t you do it for me ? Some people they are still old school about technology. You make my life harder. Hmm

Wonderful new spa. Beautiful friendly staff and great owner. Front desk staff is always pleasant; in person and over the phone. Loved it so much, that I became a member back in the spring after my 1st massage.I am a regular who comes once a month to enjoy my deep tissue massage from Jennie, she’s the best. I will continue to come back to receive such great service.

That woman lost someone and you made a person who was already grieving have an unacceptable experience with your behavior. I’d give you zero stars if I could. You owe them an apology.

Excellent massage and service followed by hydroluxe bedlove my membership for myself but trying to use my FAMILY membership for my daughter and so complicated. they advertise can share but sharing ends up costing as much as out of pocket so end up paying more money instead of using what I already paid. Not trying to get over on anyone. trying to use a family plan on a family member. If I want to gift. can only give her hour not 90 min. uh why?

I typically dont write reviews unless I have an extremely outstanding experience or an experience that would make me rethink a business ever again and thats how I felt about this place this week. I purchased two services, a facial and a massage. Facial on Monday, massage on Thursday. The facial was just ok, Ive had much much better facials at Hand and Stone hands down. No steam was used (and they are used in classic facials) and my skin wasnt even cleaned first before additional product was added, although my face was clean of oil and makeup before I got there. Now lets move on to this massage. The therapist first of all smelled like SMOKE. How can you allow your therapist in there with a body odor. If you smoke I shouldnt be able to tell and his hands even smelled like smoke which means he didnt wash them. I am still grossed out from that experience yesterday. In addition, I dont like a massage starting face up with the lights all the way up when you have no clothes on underneath. I asked him to turn the lights down (like dude what are you trying to look at), going back to the smoke, as thoroughly disgusted I still am about this, my entire clothes and body smelled like smoke when I got home. thats how horrible it was and Ive never smoked a day in my life. He also wreaked of alcohol. Or maybe he used mouthwash before trying to get rid of the smell of smoke, at any rate, you need to train your employees on proper cleanliness. Imagine someone dirty touching your clean body for 60 minutes because smoke is dirty. I get massage everywhere, in the US, out the country, in high-end spas and this is by far the worst experience Ive ever had and its making me rethink getting a massage ever again. I even left a good tip because Im a good customer for both services, but I have a groupon to use and I will never return to this location, EVER!! I did let the front desk know of my experience when I left, good front desk folks, but when I said something they looked at me as if I was lying. I dont have to lie about someone smelling like smoke, walk back there and smell him for yourself. Again I will never return to this location. In addition, have your therapist wear MASKS. I dont want your smokey breath all over me and the guy kept coughing. I also dont want to feel you breathing all over me. I was extremely grossed out, not relaxed at all. It should be MANDATORY that these therapist wear masks. If thats not your policy, you need to change it ASAP.

OMG!!! What an AMAZING experience!! My birthday present from my wonderful husband was an hour massage at this spa. I thought I was just gonna get a relaxing massage, but it turned out to be a life-changing experience and “spiritual healing” for me. It was like the heavens opened up and released answers I had been praying about and lifted weight I didn’t know I was carrying. Who knew? God did.

I absolutely love this place! Destiny does an amazing job with her facials, I love it so much that I didnt give anyone else a chance. I only prefer her services because she never disappoints! I always walk out glowing, feeling and looking my absolute best. I just love her. When it comes to massages, I have tried several people there but Brooke is hands down the best! I honestly didnt think that she would be a great fit for me at first because I thought I needed someone with heavy hands and big muscles but boy was I so wrong. Brooke not only gets out all my knots but she puts me to sleep every time. I refuse to have anyone else massage me because Im so pleased with her service. You cant go wrong with these 2 girls, you just cant!

Amazing! From the studio in the door to the end! Love the lounge room to wait with the soft light, calming music, hot tea and water. The warm massage bed was a added bonus.Massage tech was awesome. Found spots I needed to get a deeper massage done on with knots in it. She was very professional. Met me with a cup of water after I got dressed and explained how I would feel and what to do.Loved the hydro massage and cant wait to use it more since I bought membership before I left! Gong to take advantage of the other services such as facials and waxing as well. Major plus are the hours and that they are super close to my house!!!Destiny, Taya (i think), and brook are amazing!!!

My family recently bought a ONE HOUR massage for my mom on Mother’s Day. She went in today and at her appointed time. She tells me that she arrived early and they started settling her at the time of her appointment (no one there spoke Spanish). She tells me that she got a 30 minute hand massage and a 5 minute massage from a chair?? And to top it off at the end they ended up charging her $21 for aroma therapy when she was only supposed to go in for a paid ONE HOUR massage. She came home disappointed and I’m disappointed in the business for more than one reason.

Edited for response to owner: I understand your position about how you have trained your employees but you werent there for the conversation so all you can do is take their word for it. My wife and I arent deaf. We asked multiple times about the cancellation policy and know what we were told. As I stated in the review, I WOULD HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP HAD I KNOWN THAT I HAD TO STAY FOR TWO MONTHS! I was taking advantage of what I saw to be a great deal, getting that first month for $20 and the ability to cancel at ANYTIME. It just turns out that it wasnt a true representation of what was being offered and this is why you received one star. I stand by my review of your establishments dishonesty or at the very least, lack of properly trained staff. I hope this review helps people who choose to visit your business to be more diligent in the signing of their documents regardless of what your desk staff is telling them, because during our experience, the two things didnt line up.WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP! The people at the front desk will lie to you and tell you that you can cancel anytime but what they really mean is you have to stay with them for 2 months before cancellation. This allows them to charge your card the full amount of your membership before you are allowed to cancel. The team member I spoke to ensures me that it was explained but I know for a fact that my wife and I asked multiple times and were told you can cancel whenever you want or we would have never signed up. They lie to get you to sign upunder the guise of a $20/month membership. Read the contract, dont take their word for it, they will lie to you.

I absolutely love this place, the atmosphere was so relaxing. I treated myself to my first massage (Swedish), 60 mins 10 of those mins go to your consultation and changing of your clothes, but you get them back with the 10 min hydro massage. 50 min massage and then the peace to resistance was the hydro massage 10 mins. The Masses Brit, she was amazing, she applied the best pressure, she walked me through each step and she made me so comfortable! The scent was amazing. The price was reseasonible and they offer discounts if its your first time. I cant wait to go back!

I have been going once month to the one on kirkwood hwy and I can say its thr best place and massage I have ever gotten. I get them often due to my hands and back in a constant state so I know a good place when I use one. They are clean, professional, and actually listen to your wants and needs. Conservatively I have had over 1000 masages and D.J. is far and above the best.

Had a very disappointing experience at this spa. My massage therapist had the worst body odor . They advertised a $49 massage but tried to charge me $89. Sadly I will not return . They are on Groupon too but couldn’t sue my Groupon for some reason They declined it so I had it refunded . The front staff was the best thing that had going for them.

I came to MassageLuXe for a HydraFacial. The spa is alluring and peaceful. I believe it used to be a Checker’s and I was so surprised how they transformed it into such a beautiful place. My esthetician Melissa was amazing as well. She took her time to examine my skin to identify its needs and create a personalized treatment. I chose a brightening treatment and my face is still left with a glow. She explained the process of this treatment efficiently to me but also in a way that I could understand. I really enjoyed my HydraFacial from Melissa. After I was finished, she greeted me outside the door with water and then I was taken to the Hydro Massage machine for a session. That was a nice surprise because I didn’t know that would be included. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will be back 😊

My experience at MassageLuxe was absolutely amazing! The front desk ladies greet you in such a pleasant inviting manner! For the massage I had Jalysa for a 60min Deep Tissue Massage, which was outstanding! I am truly thankful to her for the help she did alleviating pain I had been dealing with for soo long. As an added bonus you get to use the HydroLuxe, which is their dry pressurized water massage table at the end of your visit. I definitely plan to come back at least once a month if not more!

I usually avoid chains, but I decided to give Massage Luxe a try and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The minute you walk in the atmosphere/vibe is nothing, but high-end and relaxing. Both receptionists were so friendly and helpful! The waiting room is private and quiet with refreshments! I received a HydraFacial by Melissa and it was INCREDIBLE!!! I have normal to oily skin and suffer from acne and my skin was not only glowing immediately after, but my breakout was gone within one day! This was my first HydraFacial and it was extremely relaxing; I didn’t want it to end lol! She also recommended products for my skin type, but was in no way pushy, which I appreciate! After my facial, I was given a cup of water and was introduced to the HydroLuXe, which is basically a bed you digitally control that massages as much or as little of your body as you would like; you control the time and pressure. I would recommend Massage Luxe to anyone! Go see Melissa for ALL your facial needs, you WILL NOT regret it! She is so talented, kind, professional, and most importantly clean!!!

The place was clean and the front desk was nice but the massage itself was horrible and awkward. Ive had over 30 massages and this felt like it was done by a heavy set 10 year old who doesnt know where the muscles are. The direction he was massaging was wrong, for instance when getting your leg massaged you shouldnt have to stiffen your hip so your leg doesnt get pushed off the table. He had to keep grabbing my ankles and wrists to place them back on the table after he shoved them off with every massage stroke. I should be able to relax, not have to tense up because the masseuse pushes them. They use lotion instead of oil but let me tell you how low his lotion bottle was. . he kept pumping it but you can hear nothing come out but half a squirt finally and he used that half squirt to do the entire side of my back, or half a squirt to do my entire leg. I have rub burns from the lack of lotion. I was so close multiple times to stopping him but didnt want to embarrass him. There was no towel to wipe of excess lotion or oil in most places, granted I had negative lotion. I started 10 mins after a person, but finished 12 mins before then. The best part was the hydro chair to help fix what he hurt. Idk where they get their training but he was not trained. You also dont mention a clients breasts when they are laying face up naked on your table under the thinnest white sheet....very weird

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!My mom booked me an appointment for my birthday and it was the first time I ever had a facial. The staff was wonderful and polite and the setting was very relaxing with tranquil music. My face after the appointment is dewy andy skin feels amazing. I was also given helpful tips for my skin and the hydro massage chair massaged my whole body. Overall, my experience was great and I couldnt find fault if I tried. Hope this review helps 🙂
