Thanks Briana!© 9 08:00Definitely I am going to re-book again with Briana. I told her of my past sports injuries and told her that no one has been able to unlock those in the past 20 years. She started in a gentle comfortable calming way then somehow located trigger points in other areas of my body that directly affected the injuries. After she swiped the trigger points out of me she asked if she could work on the injured areas. I was so relaxed that I said yes. I realized when she focused on those areas (shoulder/neck) that she had already opened the door and found where the problems were. I did not know that they were even findable. I can say that when I left I had full and painless movement in my shoulders and neck.I havent felt that in many years and am very grateful. I would have been happy for an hour of peace but days later I still feel great! I realize this isnt a one time fix so Ill definitely be going back to Briana for future relaxation and maintenance massages. Thank you !

I’m usually not a picky person, but I have come to discover I’m very picky when it comes to massages, especially when it comes to the level of pressure. Jennifer G. is hands down the most amazing masseuse I have ever had! Her skill and expertise are unmatched, and every session with her leaves me feeling rejuvenated and stress-free. Jennifer has an intuitive understanding of the body and always knows exactly where to focus. Her technique is both soothing and effective, and she has a wonderful ability to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for an exceptional massage experience. She truly is the best!

Great experience from start to finish! I arrived a little early for my massage and was placed in the very peaceful relaxation room to wait. From there, I had quite literally the best massage of my life with Briana. She listened to my concern areas, had excellent pressure, and went above and beyond to make it an amazing appointment. I even called my mom afterwards and recommended she make an appointment! 10/10 I will definitely be back for a Spa Day before my wedding!

My massage was amazing, one of the best I’ve had, and the facial was very good as well. The technicians were excellent - 5 stars. I did think it was strange that you have to pay extra and schedule to use the additional amenities (sauna, etc.) Those are usually included at most spas I go to.

Went here for a couples massage while in the area for a vacation. We were greeted quite joy and shown to a gorgeous waiting area. Our masseuses came out talked to us about any problem areas, focus points, pressure. They got to work and it included hot stones. They took their time really working out knots. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Booked this establishment based on the reviews and have to say we were very disappointed with our experience. This was a couples massage celebrating our anniversary. To start with it is overpriced. We’ve gotten much better massages with amenities for less at nice resorts. My massage was just okay, I would expect a much better experience for what we paid. My wife on the other hand had a very bad experience. She had asked for a Swedish massage (which is relaxing) and ending up getting a deep tissue massage which ended up being very painful for her. We both commented to each other after that we were counting down the minutes until it was over. Additionally, the rooms were uncomfortably freezing. As I said before I would expect a much better experience for the price.

Took my girlfriend here today for a couples massage! I was looking everywhere to go, but it wasn’t working out. Luckily my best friend Christine works there and her and her lovely manager Theresa helped us out so much to get us accommodated for her birthday and it was excellent! Our masseuses were Jalicca and Jazmine, and let me tell you…. THEY WORKED US OUT!!! In the best way!! The service was great and the entire time we were extremely relaxed and very impressed with their skills and knowledge and communication! We will definitely be coming back and requesting them!! Thanks to everyone involved!!

I’ve had a few massages here, each being quite different. The space is comfortable and the staff kind and accommodating. I recently received a specialty massage, and wish I had just stuck with a basic massage, which is what they do primarily. I would return for a basic massage, and Jennifer Gay does an excellent job!

I’ve had the best experience coming to coastal since they have been opened. i have been a member for years and have always had the best time. Theresa has always been there to help whenever i need to reschedule or move my appointment around, she is very responsive and has always been a pleasure. Truly the best massage therapists i’ve seen and i’ve seen quite a few :)

I had an hour facial with Susan. She was fabulous. She made sure she knew my trouble areas and that I was comfortable throughout the treatment.With having asthma, I sometimes have difficulty lying flat and Susan made sure she elevated my head enough so this wasnt a problem.I will definitely be scheduling future appointments. Schedule with Susan....you wont be disappointed.

Just want to say if you are in need or any type of massage for either relaxation, healing or just spoiling this is the place. They go out of the way to ensure youre placed with the therapist that will best suit your needs. I have been with Theresa the owner since shes been in business and she has always gone far and above to make sure my wife and myself are well taken care of. Most of all I travel a lot and have been to many therapists however I always return home to Wilmington for the personal touch that Coastal gives. Highly recommend all services and the personal friendliness of the front desk. 🤙🏽

I had my first hydrafacial with Hailey and it was amazing! She is so knowledgeable about each step and making sure you’re feeling comfortable the entire time. She truly was the best and I can’t wait to see her again! The spa itself was great too, clean, smells good and quiet. The receptionist ladies were super friendly and helpful! You won’t be disappointed coming here for any type of service. 10000/10

I love this place, it’s like a serene oasis. The monthly membership is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. The staff is wonderful & so helpful in making appointments. Nick is THE BEST massage therapist ever! EVER!!!

My boyfriend booked me an appointment for my birthday at Coastal Massage and Spa. The front desk called me a day before my birthday checking if I was on my way, and I realized my boyfriend put the wrong date! They explained that due to the cancellation policy I’d still have to pay. But the owner, Theresa, was understanding and waived the fee and got me scheduled for my actual birthday the next day. As an extra birthday goodie she gave me a free pass to use the steam room and sauna! It made my birthday week so nice! I felt really cared for and understood as mistakes can happen! Thank you again, Theresa for helping me out! And Ashley for the amazing massage!Also, my boyfriend says sorry!!!

Definitely the best facial Ive ever had! Susan was excellent.A relaxing, beautiful environment along with gracious staff. An all-around great experience!

Ive had facials done at multiple spas around town. This place by far is the best facial ive ever had in wilmington. I feel a huge difference in my skin. So happy!!! Susan with the Facial and Briana with the massage madr a perfect spa day!!!

To be fair, my 1st experience (pre-Covid) was beyond 5 star so maybe my expectations were just too high? But I gave this spa 2 more tries chasin that proverbial dragon..My 1st visit for my mama spa day was total queen 🐝 treatment!! I got to wait in the fancy suite, was explained that I could use the steam room, showers & sauna before my massage & facial & then could snuggle & read a book in one of the quiet cubbies….TOTAL BLISS!!! My 2nd visit was close, except the hot water broke so I had a cold shower, no biggie. But, my 3rd visit was different. I arrived, went right into my 1 hour massage. She was very cool & funny & knowledgeable. After my massage was my (first ever) body scrub where I laid on my back, sugar was wiped on my legs, wiped on my back, I flipped, she asked if I wanted my belly done, I said no. My legs back arms & neck got wiped with sugar, this took about 10 minutes total (I looked at the clock) She walked me to the shower, I showered, laid back down in the massage room. She wiped lotion on those same areas (another 5/10 minutes) done. Next was the facial. Chin extractions were VERY painful. And although I selected the option (on the form they sent me 4 times) to be told what product they were using and when, I was told nothing before during or after my facial. 😒 My face afterward did look really radiant though. After that I asked the ladies at the receptionist desk about the amenities and was told that the sauna was broken and if I wanted them to turn the steam room on it would be $25. 🫤 I dunno, a massage, facial, 15 minute sugar/lotion wipe down and a shower for $500… Meh. Didn’t feel worth half of f a thousand dollars for me

Had a wonderful spa day with my girlfriends yesterday! We loved using the amenities, like the sauna and steam room, in between our scheduled services. Were already talking about making this an annual thing. Well be back for sure!

My favorite place to visit in Wilmington. I have a membership and get a monthly facial from Susan. She is absolutely the best!! I always feel like a million bucks when she is done. Can’t wait until my next appt next week!

I never write reviews but had to after my customer service experience with the manager Teresa. They had made an error on their part when booking annd acknowledged that it was their mistake, but instead of correcting it and apologizing was condescending and belittling. I came in for a relaxing experience on my birthday and while I had a great facial with Joanna, it was completely overshadowed by the horrible customer experience from Teresa. If the owner is reading this please know I have never experienced poor customer service here or to this level except for today, but experiences and managers/employees who treat customers this way will hurt a business.

I absolutely love these people! I look forward each month to my scheduled sessions knowing that I will be enjoying some much needed me time! A big thank you to Kelly and the entire office staff as well as Jamie!

If there was a zero I would select that. I have been doing facial treatment with my usual facial place but the provider who does for me all the time was out of town so I decided to do somewhere else. Expensive with the worse service. I waited in waiting area for 15 min so I started my facial 15 min late. It was hydrofacial and neck deqletue which supposed to be 45 min. I was done in 30 min and the only thing I got was an apology. Of course I didn’t pay the 100 dollar extra but now I have to wait another 4 wk for appropriate facial. Very disappointing, and never recommend to anyone

Im an independent person dependent on this Massage Spa. Heres why:For 2 years, I have incorporated this Wilmington Day Spa into my life on a regular basis for both rehabilitation and maintenance and the benefits to my body and lifestyle have been the most impactful in a 20-year battle with spinal injury. Im a 40-year old, highly active/busy husband, father of 3 young kids, business owner and competitive athlete plagued by a lifetime of lumbar spine & lower back pain (L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-SI). Periodic discomfort in the Cervical and Thoracic spinal regions has occurred throughout the period as well. At 12, a love/hate relationship with chiropractic therapy began, in my early 20s I tested the effectiveness of acupuncture. Terrible customer service. The front desk woman and especially the owner, Theresa, were rude and condescending. I got a gift certificate for Christmas that I booked online for tonight. They claimed I booked twice (yesterday and today) which isn’t true. They said I forfeited my gift card and were going to charge my husband’s account for the full amount 🤯. They insisted I messed up, even though the mess up was clearly on them. After they were rude they said I could rebook, which I was definitely not going to do, given how rude they were. I told Theresa I would be leaving a review and the owner told me not to threaten them. Mind blown that they are able to run a business with such terrible business practices and atrocious customer service. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Had to cancel an appointment several hours in advance due to Covid and was still charged the full price, so I guess their management wants you to keep your appointment even if you are sick. Wouldn’t recommend booking here.

One of the best spa experiences Ive ever had! This place is great! The services are great and the customer service is great. Even when I was scheduling my services by phone, the person I spoke with was very patient and took time to answer all of my questions. Anna was very attentive and made sure I had a wonderful experience throughout my visit. She checked on me periodically to make sure all of my needs were met and I really appreciate her. Theresa, the owner, was my massage therapist and did a great job with my body buff and massage and my sole soother foot massage services. I would definitely come back when Im in this area again. A very satisfied customer.

Wow! This spa is a hidden gem that I just found! The staff is amazing and the place is so beautiful and relaxing. Nick is an amazing massage therapist and Olivia a skilled aesthetician who does a great job with eyebrows! I love how mine turned out! I decided at the last minute that I needed a self-care day, and I was extremely pleased there were same-day appointments available. I booked a 90-minute facial with Hailey, and it was truly the best facial Ive ever had. I dont think my skin has ever looked or felt better. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the relaxation room was an unexpected treat!

I came to Coastal Massage for a wedding party spa day. I really enjoyed the experience of sitting in a private room with our bridal party before enjoying our massages, and then some time in the sauna and steam room afterwards. I received a wonderful massage from Jennifer. I even made use of the showers before leaving, and the bath products available were really nice. Overall outstanding spa experience in a relaxing, clean environment, with amazing facilities and skilled staff.

They have been charging me for six months while I was in the hospital and they will not refund the money. I cancelled my membership in December. Stay away. Very unprofessional and unethical.

I came from out of town to a wedding and decided to do a spa day. The bride had a last-minute crisis and Coastal was so accommodating and flexible with my last-minute schedule change. Customer service is everything and they have it perfected. Highly recommend.

I came here a few weeks ago and the place is very nice. Nick was great and addressed everything I needed work on.

Visited this location now for a third time and each time was fantastic. Ashley was my technician and she was incredible.The environment is clean, comfortable and soothing. As a note for the owners... Showers could use a bit of detailing on the rubber seals as there is tiny amounts of mold, that could simply be scrubbed/wiped off, otherwise, the facility is very clean.First visit was a Moms Spa day (divine) and 2nd/3rd were a scrub and massage special which was $140. With a generous tip for stellar service, out the door at $180 each time. Ive noticed that they no longer offer the combo special but you can purchase these separately/combine to create something very similar although it is a bit more expensive. Hoping they will bring the special back as it is a great deal even though each treatment is a bit shorter, but for someone on a budget yet willing to spend on something luxurious it was the perfect recipe.Each time I left feeling incredibly relaxed for days. Additionally, the scrub treatment is incredible for your skin and left my skin amazingly soft.Some scrubs, I know they use a hot towel removal, after the scrub each time I would go to the showers, which were clean - love that they have a digital thermometer control for when you rinse/shower off! Then, back to the table for the second part/massage. The combination of these two together was a wonderful experience.Staff is very friendly, typically booking is very simple. You can use their online system or you can call in. I noticed that sometimes my tech is not listed in the available technicians online so often have to call to book... But it is still so simple. In general, I think prices are a tiny bit on the high side , but if all techs are as amazing as the one I had, then it is probably worth the expense!Did not partake in the sauna/extra amenities... This is an extra $25 if you want to add it on

The embiance and appointments exceeded our expectations. I booked a couples massage as a surprise birthday gift for my mate. The hot sauna was wonderful. Nick and Daisy were exceptional. This is a very clean and professional Spa. I highly recommend Costal Massage and Spa.

Today I enjoyed a mother and daughter massage and facial with my 87 year old mom. She is so happy and feels super relaxed. She kept exclaiming about how her wrinkles are gone! My mother has been having extra mobility issues lately but she is moving better since we got home. I checked out Coastal Carolina Massage and Spa because of the spa facilities. Unfortunately, my mom cant handle the hot air because of her breathing so the staff issued a day pass for me to come back and enjoy the spa another day. I have to say best massage tables ever. The tables are heated and the head rest are cushioned so well you never once feel like your face is in a cup holder.They also have weighted blankets!Massage, facial, tables, atmosphere, memorable mothers day treat!Highly recommended!

I’ve been going here for a year now and I absolutely love it! I always go to Ashley and she is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. I have never been so relaxed during a massage until I went to her. I also went to Susan for a facial and I absolutely loved it. She was so sweet and helpful! I highly recommend getting the monthly membership! It’s well worth the money! I can tell the difference in my back from going monthly. I have significantly less pain since coming here. Overall, I highly recommend this place and Ashley and Susan!!

I had my very first upper back and neck massage with J’Licca today as a birthday gift! This was an extremely healing and transformative experience for me. I loved the aroma therapy and hot rocks! As well as the relax room before going in to my appointment. All of the staff were very kind and considerate and offered me a complementary glass of water. This atmosphere is super calm and exactly what i’ve needed. I experience a lot of neck pain and after leaving the spa it’s fixed what tigers balm could never. I’m super thankful for J’Licca for providing me with such a relaxing experience. I appreciate the safe space and will definitely be back!!

The first time my wife and I went, we had a couples massage gifted to us by my parents. It wasnt exactly out of this world, but it was good. Since our usual masseuse moved, I decided recently to buy my wife a massage for our anniversary and it was terrible. The masseuse did not introduce themselves and did not ask what type of pressure was preferred. The entire hour felt rushed as if the masseuse was hoping the faster they rubbed the quicker an hour would go by. Though the establishment is nice, I would not recommend it or return, sad to say.

This is a hidden gem in Wilmington. Their esthetician, Joanna, is a skincare guru, and amazing at what she does. Every single massage therapist Ive had there has been phenomenal and so professional. They are small, but they have all the amenities, including dry and wet saunas and showers. I had the membership for a while and loved it!

I have had several massages here now and the staff is always very kind and professional. the facility is clean and relaxing! Also the coffee shop right next door, Periwink, is a post-massage perk :)

The customer service was awesome. I accidentally booked a facial instead of a massage. When I called to cancel they were able to schedule a massage for the same day a Saturday. My massage therapist Nick was great.

Liz did my super necessary massage. I feel so much better. Then Kyra helped me with my facial- she was the BEST! I’m only getting facials done with her from now on. They were both very professional, cleanly and definitely helped me relax. This place is a cute little hidden gem in Wilmington, and it’s worth the drive for me. The front desk staff was helpful and kind as well. The overall energy of the spa is excellent.

I scheduled a massage and facial for my birthday and the team definitely made me feel special! Jessica and Kyria were AMAZING. Jessica was my massage therapist and she was really great about checking on pressure and if there were any areas I wanted her to dive into it! I felt totally at ease and relaxed during her massage. Then Kyria came in for my facial (they didn’t even make me move rooms!). She was THE BEST. From start to finish. She was so sweet in providing the best care so that I wouldn’t break out after the treatments. She customized the treatments for my face and even provided samples! Needless to say, highly recommend both of them.

Theresa was fantastic in setting up my deep tissue massage with Amy at Coastal Massage & Spa. No pun intended but “hands down” one of the best massage experiences I’ve had… Theresa and Amy worked around my busy schedule to accommodate my time request and provided a first-class experience. Amy is incredible, I can’t wait to see her again next week!

The sauna.. the steam room.. Daisys beautiful hands and elbows.. The eucalyptus.. the relax lounge.. the robes.. the shower.. All I could think about was Kane Browns single, Heaven. This place gave my life purpose and my bones meaning. This place had care, consideration, wellness and love hiding in every nook and crannie. 10 out of 10! Will never go to the over priced massage chain again!

Always have a great experience at Coastal! So nice inside and a very calming environment. Kyra did an excellent job on my facial, its amazing how different my skin looked! Heather was awesome for massages, I like deep tissue and she had the perfect amount of pressure. All of the front desk associates are so sweet and welcoming :)

I just moved nearby and always pass this place and it always looks so busy! I looked up the reviews on this adorable spa and thought I’d give it a try & I’m SO HAPPY I did!! The employees greeted me immediately and made me feel so welcomed. I got my very first facial ever by Kyra. She is the sweetest person, and omgggg my skin feels so amazing! I’m going back next week to get my lashes done. 10/10 recommend. A very professional staff, great ambience, top of the line products, and are prompt with appointments!!!

I got a prenatal massage by Amanda and it was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and friendly and made me feel so comfortable. Will definitely be back in the future. I can’t wait to try out their other services too!

Cannot say enough great things about this place! It’s always a relaxing experience and it feel very high class. Theresa was more than accommodating still letting me get my full massage even though I was late. (I hate being late and felt terrible). My message therapist, Amiee, was amazing. My neck and shoulders feel great!

Had my lashes done by Kyra the week before Thanksgiving. First of all, she is the KINDEST person, very sweet, makes you feel so warm and comfortable. Very easy scheduling. I love my lashes! I actually have gotten compliments from complete strangers. She felt like an instant friend, I could not stop talking about her. Im an introvert and dont make many instant friends. Very highly recommend!

First time at Coastal Massage & Spa and my experience was wonderful. Great customer service and staff. Had a very warm welcome as soon as I entered. Everyone was very polite and knowledgeable. Any questions I had were answered with a smile. I received my massage from Heather who I would highly recommend. She communicated really well, took her time, and was consistent with her movements/technique. I was very pleased. I’m definitely considering buying a membership package.

My fiancée and I greatly enjoyed our massage. She got a deep tissue massage, and I received a relaxation massage. Both were great. However, we were a little disappointed that we paid for a 75 minute massage and got 60 minutes of massage time. We sat in a “relaxation” (waiting) room for 10 minutes, which mustve been included in the 75 minutes unfortunately. Certainly won’t be going back if we are getting our monies worth.

Had an absolutely amazing deep tissue hot stone massage from Candice. I cant say enough good things about this place. Im so happy with the service that Im planning to start going on a monthly basis.And a special thank you to the owner, Theresa, for allowing me to use a gift certificate that was more than 6 months expired. she really knows how to treat customers.

I had an amazing morning enjoying my massage and facial at this spa. This place is absolutely beautiful. The calming decor only enhanced my ability to relax and enjoy my massage. The place was so clean too. All of the employees wore masks. I felt safe, relaxed, and ready to do this again in the near future.

Highly recommend Jamie. I have been to her three times with injuries and when I leave there it’s a night and day difference in my body.

Yesterday I had an awesome experience at Coastal Massage & Spa with a group of close friends to celebrate a bride to be! I really loved being able to just kick back and relax in our cozy robes/shoes that they provided in the gorgeous bridal suite. Did I mention that they had mimosas too! Definitely felt like I was at home! We LOVED detoxing in the sauna and the eucalyptus steam room as well! I must say that the BEST part in addition to spending time with my girls would have to be the custom massage that I received. Shout out to Liz!! Girl you made me feel like a new woman! Anyways..I recommend this place to anyone who just wants to kick back, enjoy some quiet time, get pampered, and TREAT YO SELF!!!

My wife and I did not have a pleasant experience. My wife booked a Valentines day couples massage and when we showed up the owner Theresa told my wife the she booked incorrectly and there were no couples rooms available. Theresa was unwilling to rebook without us paying a penalty. I am sure Theresa will have something snarky to say in response to this review but the bottom line is she kept my wifes $150.00 gift certificate and no services were rendered. To be clear, we paid for a massage , no massage or remediation given. Lots of other choices available for a massage with more reputable business practices. I cannot recommend.

My husband & I went here for a couples massage for our anniversary! We recently moved to the area & we are SO GLAD we found this gem! Liz & Anna were amazing! We never have had a couples massage & both been pleased with our massages- until now! Full relaxation! I noticed Liz’s lashes & asked her about them & she immediately recommended their lash specialist, Kyra & they worked with me to get me scheduled that day! Kyra was so sweet & so FAST! Yall, my lashes look AMAZING! I was so pleased with all of the services that I signed up for a membership so I will for sure be going back soon!!! Thank you Coastal Massage! Came into town for a mom’s getaway and they were able to get all 5 of us in only a day in advance. On top of that, the place was clean and serene, and the massage itself (by Lizz!) was the best massage I’ve ever had!! She was so personable, made sure you relaxed the entire time, yet got all of those stress knots out 🙂Thank you, Coastal Massage, for such a great experience!

What an incredible experience! I came into today with my boyfriend for my 22nd birthday & had a phenomenal time. My masseuse, I think her name was Claire(?), paid a lot of attention to detail & really worked out my knots and gave me helpful advice after! It was my boyfriends 1st time getting a massage & will not be his last. Everyone was so friendly & helpful and really wanted to make our experience special. At 8 months pregnant, I cannot mention enough how much I appreciate my visits at Coastal Massage and Spa!❤️Returned to spa today 5 months postpartum and it was wonderful. I felt safe amid Covid and felt like staff was taking all precautions to keep others and I safe but to also continue to provide a relaxing and comfortable spa atmosphere. I was a little unsure what wearing a mask during my massage was going to be like but I hardly even noticed and appreciated the essential oils that made breathing easier. My sweet boyfriend took me here for a couples’ massage and facial. They greeted us with champagne, spa water (with yummy fruit in it!), and snacks. They provided plush robes and quality slippers in a clean changing room, that also had showers. The very welcoming staff also allows us to arrive early to use the sauna and steam room. There is a relaxation room that is cozy and comfortable. The massages provided were amazing! My masseuse did a fantastic job concentrating in the areas that needed extra attention, and used aromatic oils and lotions that calmed me. She made sure I was comfortable, and checked in frequently. She also answered all my questions and showed that she was passionate about her job. The facial was relaxing and rejuvenating. The atmosphere in the spa was perfect, complete with relaxing music throughout the facility. Overall, this day spa is worth every penny!

I cannot say enough high praises for Coastal Massage and Spa, specifically Dorothy! I have been struggling with a recent onset of acne and only trust Dorothy to touch my face. I have noticed a significant difference in my skin after her facials and she is so knowledgeable about products, skincare, and health. She genuinely cares about her clients and it really makes a difference! She also does a fabulous job with eyebrows! The staff and environment are all wonderful. Im very happy I found Coastal!

I mistakenly booked 2 separate single massages for Valentine’s Day thinking I was booking a couples massage. Theresa was incredibly gracious, there were no couple rooms available so she let my girlfriend and I use the sauna and steam room while the other was getting a massage. Not an ideal couples massage but the blunder was on me and Theresa saved the day! Some guy was there before us raising hell and cursing, I feel bad for him, i think he needed a massage more than me and my girlfriend. Much appreciation for the staff of Coastal Massage and their last minute accommodations for us.

I just got my first set of lash extensions from Kyra and I couldnt be happier! I was a little nervous about doing it, but she took the time to explain the process and answered all of my questions. She was super fun a professional all at the same time. And I love my lashes!! She did an amazing job! Looking forward to my first fill!

Me and my boyfriend did the couples massage and it was absolutely magical! 💕We had no clue about the steam room, sauna, and the relaxation room so it was a pleasant surprise that we cheers our complimentary champagne too 🥂 Both working in high stress jobs this was exactly what we needed. As soon as you enter the establishment you feel the serene sense of relaxation. The staff is professional, the spa is beautiful, and everything about our experience was top notch. I highly recommend Coastal Massage & Spa to anyone looking for a massage or place to unwind and escape life’s troubles for a while.

From the second we arrived until the second we left...it was beyond perfect,. The staff made us feel like a part of the family. This was our first time to Wrightsville beach, and we have already started planning our next trip, in fact making it a yearly trip. We know there are other places to stay but why would we? All of our expectations were met here. We exchanged stories and made friends. The staff paid attention to every detail. Made my husband feel so special on our 11 year anniversary. The room was perfect as well. Could not have asked for anything better. When we find something so perfect, the usual complaint is the shower. Nope, it was spot on, even better than ours at home. There is not one negative thing I could possibly say about this place. During our visit, the staff got to know us well and personally greeted us each day as if we had known them forever. No better place than this for service, comfort, amenities and personal touches.

Had a massage with Ricardo today and left coastal feeling like I was walking on a cloud. He does excellent work, has an expert knack for finding and solving all problem areas, and is a great listener! Will be coming back for another exceptional massage!

Pros: facial was excellent, spa was clean and everyone very nice. Con: massage.I loved my facial. The esthetician was very thorough and you could tell she was really taking note of my exact skin and customizing it to meet my needs. My skin felt so clean and hydrated afterward.The massage was unfortunately a huge let down. The therapist was very sweet, but I felt like I was having lotion rhythmically spread onto me for 60 minutes. For the full $$$, it felt like one of those cheap Groupon massages. I felt more anxious than I did relaxed when getting it because I kept wondering when the massage past was going to happen. Super disappointing :(I would recommend the facial but it seems like there is a lot of inconsistency in the massage and it’s very dependent on who you get for yours. Not worth the amount of money that was charged, IMO.

I just recently moved down from NJ and I found this spa. I originally started going for massages until I wanted to restart my facial regimen. Here is where I met Kyra! She is amazing! I love going in monthly to see her and my skin is always glowing afterwards! She tailors each facial based on my skin with acne, and or eczema. Shes fabulous!

My husband bought me a package for my birthday as I had been eyeing this place for awhile. Today I went in for the “First Massage Experience” and I was completely blown away! Upon arrival I was instantly greeted and offered a beverage. They had a cute coffee and snack bar with drinks ranging from coffee and tea to mimosas. Since it was my first time visiting they also offered me a tour of the spa so I could see what amenities are offered. After the tour I was seated in the waiting area but didn’t have to wait long before my massage therapist Ashley greeted me and took me back. My package included aromatherapy and 1 add on service. I chose the back scrub. I’ve received many massages before, but this was one was the best I’ve experienced! I felt like I was getting 5 star treatment the whole time. There was an eye cover and a neck rest when I was lying on my back to keep comfortable. When she was done massaging my feet she even wrapped them in a hot towel. There were many small extra touches that just made it feel more special and relaxing. When I was done with the massage, I got the “robe and relax” service which was literally lounging in a robe in a cozy private couch nook drinking a mimosa. They had a few books in the room as well. Nobody came to rush me out either, I could have stayed in there forever lounging and relaxing! Lastly, I ended by taking a shower in the rain shower which was the perfect final touch of relaxation. The bathroom had many toiletries ranging from razors to mouthwash to shower caps etc. I was there for about 2 hours and felt like a new woman by the end! It was truly a pleasurable experience and I can see how tempting it is to get a membership. Speaking of — they never tried to sell me on a membership once which was super refreshing. They did have signage around the building that talked about the options but there was no push sales tactic to try to get me to sign up. I really appreciated that and how friendly and welcoming the staff were overall. I will definitely be back!

Theresa was wonderful! She was very attentive during the massage, making sure I was comfortable and that the pressure and temperature was working for me. The spa was designed beautifully as well! Its a really relaxing atmosphere and the music was a nice touch. Definitely recommend!!

I brought a friend to this spa and were paired with Sabrina and Kyra. This was my first facial and they did an amazing job. I did the regular facial, it included a face massage with a wash, scrub, hot towels and mask. While the mask set they massaged our neck and arms! Very soothing and such lovely ladies! So good it was making me daydream! Absolutely recommend and will most definitely be going back.

My husband and I have known Theresa before she started Coastal Massage and Wellness. We discontinued going to the massage place once she left because everyone else we tried honestly, and I dont know any other way to put it, but they were not good at all. Yes, she is that amazing! No place can compare. We have always had an all around wonderful, amazing and relaxing experience. Hands down, the most talented and best customer service! I have been suffering with chronic back pain and sciatic nerve problems from an old sports injury. This place is such a blessing to not only my husband and I, but to the rest of our family (they have all been here and feel the same way). I have been to many different doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc. and have tried many different medications, but nothing has helped. This is the only place to give me relief from the awful pain I have had to suffer with for years. I cannot thank the ladies of Coastal Massage and Wellness enough for all they have done and continue to do! Absolutely amazing! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Its totally worth going and you will not regret it except for the fact that you wish you had gone sooner!

She by far has been the best massage therapist I had ever had. Most times its to soft or light handed for me. She was perfect, it was not light handed but not rough either. I booked a couples massages at this spa for my wife for Valentines Day through Groupon. We were visiting North Carolina and were not familiar with the geography. When I realized that this location was 2 hours away, I tried to call and have our appointment cancelled and get a refund. Due to their cancellation policy, we were not able to get a refund and our card was charged. The problem with this spa was not their policy, but the way we were treated by Theresa. When we explained that one of her employees had agreed to cancel the appointment without charge, she refused to stand by what her employee said and charged our card anyways. She was incredibly rude to us and very short on the phone. She did not honor her employees decision and was very disrespectful to us. It was horrible customer service and based on this fact alone, I would not recommend this spa to anyone.

My husband and I topped of our vacation with a couples massage here. Candace and Tammie were absolutely incredible! Both were very in tune with what we needed and gave an amazing massage. It was a pleasure visiting the spa on our vacation. We left feeling so relaxed and spoiled. We would highly recommend a visit here if you need some tlc!!

She made great product recommendations that varied in price points and I never felt I was being up sold on a product just because they sold it at the spa. The facial itself was such an enjoyable experience I felt as if I was in the presence of a longtime friend. I didnt dare leave without booking my next appointment. I highly recommend Kyra!

This spa has excellent quality and you can tell the whole team is on point. From the first phone call with the hostess, to arriving and speaking with the massage therapists, we knew we made a good choice. The spa is not far from the beach, so its close to our airbnb Wrightsville Beach, there was plenty of parking behind. The spa was beautiful and brand new. The therapists gave us the full massage time and we each had very specific muscle problems addressed. This is one of those places you wish you could bring home and visit every week. I worked with Colleen and she was wonderful, I had some serious knots in my back and she was able to get them out, this was the most relaxation I’ve had in awhile. I don’t live in Wilmington but I would definitely come back just for Colleen, she did a wonderful job and I can’t say enough of how great she did. For someone that works in heels, exercises frequently and is often at a computer, the deep tissues at Coastal Massage are LIFE-CHANGING. I have never experienced so much relief. I have received couples massages, plenty of deep tissue massages and a facial. Every treatment is excellent and EVERY therapist is great! I love how they find my problem areas and work through them until I feel brand new. I have been a regular customer for six months now, and now I am going twice a month, for the rest of my life!

My masseuse, Karen, was SO unbelievably kind! Dont let her fragile structure and soothing voice fool you though, her hands are actually magic wands! She asked if I had any spots Id like her to focus on and spots Id prefer she avoided and she really took the time to personalize the experience for me. If youre reading this Karen, youre amazing at your art, thank you! I cant wait to be back for my facial and bring my girl friends for a girls day!

My husband & I went to have a couples massage. The waiting room was very relaxing & private, which is a plus for me. The staff was so nice & professional! Mariah is an excellent massage therapist! I have a sensitive back due to scoliosis & degenerative disc disease. She knew exactly what to do & what not to do. I also had a very sore muscle under my shoulder blade that she gently worked on.I cant say enough about my experience with Coastal Massage & Bodywork! The esthetician was wonderful. Great facial services however I missed the small print around charge for using additional amenities while there for service. I arrived 30 minutes early thinking I would hop in the sauna. However, I didn’t end up using the sauna but was charged the additional fee after being at the spa only 75 minutes including the hydrofacial. The front desk didn’t waver on charge. $20 is small but the point of it really got to me. Pay attention to the additional charges as you schedule service.

I was in town visiting family when I was in dire need of a massage. Looked up a few places then came across Coastal Massage and Spa. Decided to add a scrub to my 90min and boy was I thankful. They were very friendly, clean space and a feeling of tranquility radiated throughout the building. From the relaxation booth to the miraculous hands of Jlicca, my massage therapist, Coastal was just what I needed from a long week. Jlicca was very knowledgeable, friendly and overall amazing. As a person who gets massages weekly, she is definitely in the top 3 massage therapists. Thank you Coastal and especially Jlicca for a wonderful experience on vacation.

I absolutely love this place and the staff working there! They provide facials that meets everyone’s needs, but when i went there I got the skin brightening facial. It was hands down the best facial I’ve ever received. I was surprised to see that it included wheatgrass in the treatment (i thought you could only digest it), but with the knowledge Lindsey had, she was able to ease my mind. I can’t wait to try the massages next!

My 60 minute massage was phenomenal! The staff is friendly and welcoming the minute you walk in as well as the atmosphere. They tailored the massage based on my needs and it was so relaxing. Will definitely go back!

Im a nurse and its been a crazy year, my husband wanted to treat me to a spa day. He found this spa on Groupon purchased a massage and facial. We rescheduled the original appointment due to a late night shift from my part. The front desk was nice enough to change my appointment. The owner Teresa called me days before my appointment to let me know she redeemed my Groupon and I would have to pay full price if I was showing up.She was rude and unprofessional.

I went into the spa to buy a gift certificate for my friend. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and professional and could tell I was out of my element. After helping me with my gift card she gave me a tour of the facility and I was impressed enough that I ended up booking an appointment for myself a couple days later. The massage was absolutely fantastic and I will definitely be going back again.

Just had a Swedish massage by Paula Byrd and it was amazing! This was my first visit to Coastal Massage but it wont be my last. BEST massage professionals in Wilmington. I have had massages by Rebecca and Theresa and they are true masters. Typically I have a customized massage that addresses the tension in my neck and back. Theresa has stayed late when I hurt my back, which only speaks to the level of customer service you receive at Coastal Massage & Bodywork. Their location is easy to find, and the atmosphere of the spa is beach-chic. I cant speak more highly of this business. You need to check this place out!

Poor Customer service. My husband and I scheduled a 90 minute couples massage 11 days ago. We forgot about the massage and called the next day to see what we could do and ask how come we both were not contacted. The lady that picked up the phone said she called us yesterday and with an attitude said “do you not see a missed call?” We thought that response was unprofessional. We asked why wouldn’t she leave a message? She did Not give us an answer. We asked how come we were not contacted multiple times since our therapist had 90 minutes on their hands? We asked how come you didn’t call my husband? By the end of the phone call we asked for the owner to give us a call. The lady we were speaking with said she was the owner! At that point we decided Not to do business with this company again. The owner’s customer service is horrible be prepared for her attitude. Don’t expect any reminder calls prior to your service. If they do have to call you it’s only once so don’t miss that call and don’t expect them to leave a message. This company isn’t thorough with taking down all of the customer’s information either. That is the reason they didn’t call our other phone number. So be aware especially if you’re booking a couples massage they will only take down one persons information and one phone number not both.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. This spa is gorgeous and a lot bigger than I expected. Talented massage therapist, and overall great experience. Would definitely go back. Only drawback is it is more expensive than some other spas in the area.

I love everything about this spa! I wish I could take the front desk staff home with me. They were so attentive and sweet. My massage was so relaxing and I cant wait to go back again. I received a gift certificate to Coastal from my husband as a birthday gift. He knows nothing about massages and got me the Swedish massage ($80). I haven’t had a massage in 6 years or more (it was also a gift), so I’m admittedly new to the experience as well. When filling out the forms, it asked if I have any specific area of tingling/numbness and what pressure I like. I marked that I like deeper pressure and I have a specific spot on my shoulder. When I met with the masseuse she mentioned that a Swedish massage is a lighter pressure but she’d be willing to do a little moderate pressure for my shoulder. I said that was fine and figured I’d add to her tip. When I was checking out though- they charged me for the other massage (deeper pressure) and not a Swedish. So I had to pay additional money to make the difference of my certificate and my massage. This bothered me because 1. It was never mentioned that I was receiving a different massage or 2. Would be paying any extra for the “little extra moderate to deep pressure” and 3. It took away from the whole experience. Nothing like a good bait and switch to take you out of your relaxed state RIGHT after a massage. I even tipped for her extra kindness to turn around and be charged for it. I found this practice unprofessional and I would not go back.

I had a Groupon voucher of $150 for Hydrafacial package with Amenities Access. I called last week for an appointment and I got no response. Then I tried to call on Thursday and I left a voice mail. Finally someone called me back, and the assistant gave me an appointment on Friday 5:30 pm. Once I finished my work at 5:00 pm and I drove all the way from downtown to the spa and I was stuck in Traffic. I called to let them know that I am stuck in traffic and I will be late, it would have been nice if the Assistant told me that this time will be taken from my facial timing or that least offered to reschedule and I have no problem paying the extra charge, unfortunately, instead of that, the lady that I had appointment with, said she will do everything quickly!! Within 10 min!! She did not explain what she was doing. She was not friendly at all. After 10 min, she said you are all set lady. Where is the access to the amenities?? The groupon title was misleading. I felt as if they were doing me a favor!! Definitely, after getting this type of service, I will never go back.

Their esthetician works magic with hard wax that doesnt require strips. She is so personable and will walk you through the process and aftercare, which is really important for setting one at ease. If I had know it could be done this quickly and virtually pain free, Id have done this YEARS ago.

I was in terrible pain after helping my husband clean up debris from hurricane Florence. Karen gave me a deep tissue massage and I am convinced that it saved me 4 or 5 days of pain. Not only is Theresa so passionate about the art of massage, but she takes all the details into account - better beds, softer sheets, and amazing ambiance. My fiance has been seeing Theresa for almost three years because as a dentist, he often has poor posture. He would often fall asleep from her massages, and I recently was able to experience Theresas massage work. I can attest to her ability to work out knots and tension spots with ease and without pain! She has a wonderful flow and I would recommend her and her spa to everyone in the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area!

After researching many massage therapists, I made an appointment for my boyfriend to have a massage with Theresa. She had excellent reviews for acute injuries which is what my boyfriend was experiencing. However, when my boyfriend arrived the appointment had been switched to a different massage therapist. Not pleased at all.

I had a scheduled massage on Saturday that had to cancel, so I called Coastal Massage to see if I could be worked in at any time that day. The receptionist at the time said there was only a 30 min time slot that afternoon but would check to see if they could do an hour, which the therapist said she could and would. I asked at that time and said “so that will be $60?”, and was told yes, but giving the receptionist the full benefit of the doubt, she was obviously thinking “time” when I was actually asking about the “price”. The massage was not at all what I had requested or anything close to what I had come to expect for a deep tissue massage. Upon leaving, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip on top of the massage that was now $98.00! Needless to say, I was shocked and questioned the young girl doing my checkout who snidely remarked “well our prices are on the website”. Biting my tongue because this was a teenage girl and also being raised properly, I DID leave a tip, with the full intention of speaking with the manager and/or owner. On Monday, I left a message for the owner to call me, in addition to requesting the same in the “how would you rate us” text that I received that same day.It is now Thursday and after I called earlier today and left yet another message asking to speak with the owner, she (Theresa, the owner) finally called me back. I could not believe that this lady owned a business from how she smugly and immediately berated me, spoke over me, and mocked my every concern. When I shared with her that I thought it was the right thing to do to speak with her in lieu of writing a review, she pounced and said “write a review...I don’t care”. Really, you don’t care how your business is viewed or the experiences of your customers? Then...here’s the kicker! I shared with her that I called her salon because it was the closest to me, and she rudely and almost gleefully screamed at me “well then you can afford it!” Seriously?? How completely rude, insensitive, and with total disregard can one person be? I hung up and refused to answer her two follow-up calls...and just took her advice...I wrote a review. This woman mocked Miller Motte’s massage therapy program to the point that the words slurred from her mouth! Yes, Miller Motte, and the valuable service they provide to so many New Hanover residents...and more. She COMPLETELY believes that because she is close to the WB bridge that she can charge any of us anything she chooses “because we can afford it” (said with total disdain for HER current customers and potential future customers). I will NEVER recommend her business to any of my friends (OR NEIGHBORS), and if (when) she attempts to refute this or blast me back in her response, which I’ve been told by many in the past few days is her normal MO, I’ll share receipts, actual time of the massage, and all phone numbers involved...in case any local resident does happen to care that you’re being mocked and demeaned by a local business owner because of where we happen to live. The director of Miller Motte happens to be a very close, personal friend of mine and you did nothing but demean, ridicule, and mock not only my decision to “patronage cheap, large corporations”...i.e, Miller Motte and their massage therapy program...”I’m sorry you choose to book an appointment at a school”, but then you have the audacity to state that you’re “partnered with Miller Motte and hire many of their graduates”. Which one is it, Theresa? You did and have done nothing but ridicule the MM “school” program with your pretentious and demeaning comments, but then turn around and say they’re a “partner”! Being a business owner for 20+ years, I have never spoken in that manner in regards to one of my partners.
