A Balanced Life Massage

I have been using a balanced life massage ever since they were in the Fairfax shopping center. I have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere, great massages. I just recently met Jermaine and have used him for massages for my past couple massages and he is really good at what he does. He really listens to the patients needs does his best to work out those troublesome areas. Im glad I found this massage place and have stayed with them all these years. I will forever refer them, especially Jermaine.

Jermaine was AMAZING! One of the best massages Ive ever had. Perfect pressure mixed with stretching and working out my knots, I was in bliss. He gave me an eye mask and headphones to start, so I felt like I was in my own world. Afterward, Jermaine told me about my problem areas and offered advice. I bought another session as soon as it was over! They offer a monthly or yearly subscription that I am highly considering. I used Groupon for my first booking and they honored that price for my next session as well. Such an amazing deal and Im looking forward to going back :)

I came from California and started class in Wilmington. I had a lot of stress and needed a deep tissue massage. I found a balanced life massage and I had Sonu give me my massage. It was the best massage I have had and I have had many. I highly recommend Sonu. I give 5+ rating.

I recently had a massage and it was a great experience from start to finish. Raymonds technique is both professional and highly effective, providing just the right amount of pressure to relieve tension without causing discomfort. His attention to detail and ability to pinpoint problem areas made for a deeply relaxing session. The environment was soothing, clean, and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. I left feeling rejuvenated and significantly more relaxed. I highly recommend Raymond to anyone seeking a top-notch massage.

Sonu was fantastic. I came in with lower back and neck stiffness. But after my session with her my back felt so much better. I tried the hot stones.Also the real bulbs with the fire to loosen up my back. It all helped with my issues. I highly recommend her services.

I am always so impressed with the professionalism customer service I receive at this company. I am 10 plus year regular.The owner and his team provides the best massages with soft melodies I added some extra additives for my low back pain relief goes away instantaneously. whatever special techniques they use, this is one of the best massage businesses in the tri-state area. Especially Masseuse Raymond was very friendly and helpful, he went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied

The male masseuse I had just kept talking about weird subjects and about his ex and relationships hes been in. The massage didnt feel professional to me, it just felt like someone was just rubbing on my back. No real therapy. Plus the room was cold. I scheduled the next appointment with a female this time, and as soon as I showed up, I was told that my female masseuse had called out, so they put me back with the same guy again. I just canceled the appointment and walked out. I never went back.

Had the opportunity yesterday to be given a massage by Jermaine Cannon for the very first time. He was extremely professional. He gave me options to choose from for my personal comfort level for my massage. His expertise in his craft was exceptional. At the end of my massage, he even gave me tips for areas that needed further attention that I could do on my own.

I’ve been going to A Balanced Life Massage for over a year for monthly massages. The positive impact on the tightness and stress in my back and shoulders has been amazing. Emani always does a perfect job of balancing deep tissue with relaxation and I feel so great afterwards. Great staff and facility and I highly recommend them and specifically Emani.

Mack was Amazing!! 90 min deep tissue massage was just what I needed for my tight/sore muscles. He was very professional and worked very hard to accommodate my needs. I have been to this business a couple of times before and Jermaine is excellent as well. You cannot go wrong with either therapist. Worse massage ever!!! My technician didn’t apply any pressure to the area I specified and she didn’t massage my back at all!! My massage started late and ended early. The whole point of a massage is to be relaxed. I left feeling the same as when I came and I had taken time off of work for this service. Should’ve stayed at work. The best part about my visit was the front desk person.June 17, 2023-After some debating, I decided to give A Balanced Life Massage another try with a different masseuse. I am here to tell you that Mack gave me the MOST relaxing massage that I have ever had hands down!!!!!! The pressure was perfect, he has some signature methods that are fantastic, and he pays attention to stress areas!!! I was smiling from ear to ear when I left and I feel brand new!!! I’ll definitely be returning and sending my mom for a message!!!! If you are in need of some major relaxation, Mack is your guy!!!!! Thank you Mack!!!!😁

I’m going to give 2 stars because my therapist, Tatiana, was wonderful and I had such a positive experience overall. Since then, I’ve experienced a deeper pressure and feel I prefer that for my monthly routine. However, I still love how she performed as more of a positive touch. I would definitely supplement it to my self-care schedule, as my finances permit.Now this business lost 3 stars because of the owner’s responses to the customer’s reviews. It is super unprofessional and childish to keep making excuses to try and justify why a client’s experience was lacking. The owner is right that a massage is subjective. To that point, a professional should always check in with their client as they go. Furthermore, we are entitled to our perspective and should be able to voice that without our experiences being invalidated. If your business is really as good as you’re defending it to be, you wouldn’t have to reply to every bad comment like it’s the customer’s fault for not being more understanding. Poor professionalism (even towards someone else) leaves a bad taste in my mouth, regardless of how much I liked the experience.Tatiana did an amazing job, so I will definitely request to see her again. But, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this establishment based off the owner’s response to our reviews.

This was my first time at A Balanced Life and my daughters very first massage experience ever. We both left totally unsatisfied. My appointment was pushed back twice. The first time it was pushed back by 2 weeks and the second time it was changed to a different time. It wasn’t a big deal but after all I experienced, this needed to be included in my review. Our massages were super gentle and felt more like a tickle. Not to mention, the atmosphere was not welcoming or comfortable and neither was the room I was in. It looked as if it was a last resort place with a table. No relaxing music either. I was offered a headset instead. I don’t recommend this place. I was told that they just moved so in that case, they should have closed the establishment until it was ready to open for service. My daughter advised me that the massage girl was vaping and falling asleep while giving her a massage. Worst experience ever!

It’s the overwhelming customer satisfaction for me! The staff is always so friendly and supportive! Jermaine hands has healing hands and I’mma go head and stand by him. I don’t say too much and his hands always find their way to my most problematic areas at that time. So if it’s not already clear enough… I love it here and you will too! I drive about 1 hr 20 min to get here and if it was double that time I would still continue to be a client. I know when I go there I will be treated with respect and care but ultimately I will leave feeling better than I did before I came in.

Sadly another bad experience. Very challenging to schedule an appointment. My massage therapist changed several times from the scheduling day to the appointment day. My biggest red flag came when I filled out the medical history pages online. As I read the fine print, I was alerted that the therapists are not licensed massage therapists. Enough said. I will look elsewhere.

For my first time ever getting a massage I would say I had a very positive experience. I didnt know what to expect going in but it was pretty straightforward. The environment was very neat,organized and clean. The room was cozy and warmer than the waiting area. The hot towels felt amazing. Jada did a great job getting me to relax as well as the massage. I will be returning soon to get a MUSIC massage with Jermaine and I cannot wait. Thank you for a very relaxing experience.

Wow! I just had one of the best massages ever by Shawn at A Balanced Life. He was not only very professional and courteous, he has the hands of an angel!! He found every knot in my body and worked them all out. I feel like a new person! The massage tables are comfortable and heated, and the prices cant be beat. I signed up for their monthly 90 minute package, and Im already looking forward to my next massage. Im so happy I found a place that is convenient and affordable, and that they have massage therapists that are as amazing as Shawn!

I had initially gotten a massage from Emani, which I felt was way too gentle and I left unsatisfied. Jermaine, the owner, reached out to me right away to rectify the situation. He provided my next massage, which was absolutely wonderful. He was able to provide the deep tissue experience that I needed. I plan to return for another massage from Jermaine!

Since starting about a year ago, Ive tried four different therapists and each one has been amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and professional which is why my family continues to book our appointments. If you are in pain its been my experience that you feel totally different leaving here. If I could give this place less than one star I would due to the unprofessional nature, lack of communication, and overall horrible experience. Lets start with making and appointment is less than desirable considering you have to setup an online account and select their availability from there, oh and if you need any type of assistance with the unfriendly user app good luck with getting someone on the phone because they only talk via text. Now, next problem when I finally get an appointment and arrive on location 15minutes early the door is locked and there is a sign stating if you have an appointment someone will be with you. Well maybe someone forgot about my appointment because one customer came out but 35mintes later no one ever came out to get me. So I called the number on the business card to no answer BUT someone did text me a few hours later asking how could they help me (so you knew I was there waiting in the hallway). I professionally replied (with a piece of my mind) and never heard/got a response, just like I never got serviced. Ok, moving on to the next issue..the buyback. So a groupon was purchased for me as a bday gift to this place and when i gave this info at the time of my appt the person told me I could only use it on certain days and if I wanted to use it any other time I would have to pay an additional fee and they even suggested that I sell the Groupon back to groupon! I was done at this point so my advice to you is find a professional massage palor or at least one that has a real human to answer the phones. (That should have been my first sign of somethings not right here).

Today was my first try at this spa. My husband purchased me a Groupon after my usual spa was booked until mid August.I must say don’t judge a book by its cover .The ambiance is a little outdated and I’m a spa person so I look forward to that breathtaking appearance when I walk it . The aroma In the lobby was very pleasant and so was the hostess so I decided to stay.I’m extremely glad I didn’t leave based off the looks of this place because my massage with Jada was absolutely amazing . I’m 3 months postpartum and I have horrible back pain from a bad epidural, she was attentive to my sore spot and knew her stuff !!Her music selection was cute and I appreciated something different. I already knew I was booking again but what did it was the amazing attitude of the owner.After I complained about the outdated looks to him not knowing he was the owner he was extremely hospitable, hilarious & even assured me I’d be back and you know what, he was RIGHT! I booked for next week and I will get a membership. This is a great hidden gem with amazing prices . Please try this place ! Ask for Jada or Jermaine

D.J. probably gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! First, she really listened to me when I requested the areas which needed the most attention. I recently had a knee replacement and she was gentle and very cautious to ensure the knee was stable and protected. Most importantly, I was quite impressed with her strength and ability to provide deep massage to specific areas which were holding stress. D.J. Is a young massage therapist who will use her strength and obvious training to make a person glad they received a high quality massage by her. Oh and everyone who works there is professional, courteous and friendly. It’s a calm environment and I’m so pleased I tried it (thanks Groupon). Excellent!

Jermaine Cannon gave me the BEST massage of my life today. This is not hyperbole!! I am the queen of relaxation and I have been getting massages for over 20 years. He put an eye mask and headphones on me during the massage and that took it to the next level. I had to put my beloved dog down this week because she was sick and I didnt think about that once during my massage. Jermaine stretched my quads, my back, my arms, my legs and my back in addition to the massage. He and his staff are awesome!!!

Great services at a reasonable price. I suffer from severe back pain and I have been getting Dorthy to do my massages for a few months now, and it really helps my body without taking a toll on my bank account. They also do nails and waxing there, so I was able to get my brows and lip done there as well, also for a very reasonable price, and my brows look great! It’s very convenient to be able to get everything done in one place. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Shawn was the best. Very patient teacher. My husband and I went for our 3rd anniversary using a Groupon for date night couples massage. We were both taught some basic massage techniques to use on each other. We both intend to go back and get massages from Shawn.

I have been coming there in past few months and I am very blessed and fortunate to have Tatiana. She has helped me out with every request that I have made. Every time I leave from her, I almost feel like a new man. In the beginning, I was nervous to make request. But after dealing with her a few times, I can ask and talk to her about anything. There is no other place I rather go to but there. Tatiana is definitely a solid hire for your establishment and to be honest, there is no one else that I rather deal with than her. I truly hope she reads this and understand that this is straight from the heart.

Ive been coming here for a little over a year,originally from a Groupon. They have their flaws here & there HOWEVER they are always respectful and professional. The receptionist, Jessica always seems to find me an appointment when I really need it! Tatiana , Jermaine & Shawn are my favorite therapist!! I recently paid a ton of money looking for a good massage in Puerto Rico & left dissatisfied, in the same amount of pain,and covered in oil both times. I appreciate my therapist much more. Just because you go to a fancy spa does not equate a QUALITY massage. The staff of ABL gives your body the massage it NEEDS!

Rebecca and I had our first massage experience and were lucky enough to have it at A Balanced Life Massage in Wilmington. We signed up for a Couples Massage with Brian and Patricia. They reached out to us to make sure we were as comfortable with our first experience as we could be. They asked us what we might prefer and what we wanted avoided. Occasionally through the process they would confirm that we were comfortable and/ or had proper pressure applied. I would most definitely recommend this company again and plan on visiting again.

From the moment I walked in til the time I came out I felt so comfortable. Everyone was so professional and I definitely booked an appointment to go back! The massage was amazing and I felt so much better afterwards. My new favorite place for sure. I am a mother and I work hard, 7 days a week, so I need to take care of myself. A balanced Life has it going on!

I want to clarify that if you come here and the owner is your masseuse you will have a great experience. HOWEVER, today we had a couple’s massage with Mimi and Jada and it was a pretty terrible experience. They finally started at 1:45 and then said we were done at 2:30...we paid for an hour. They were both very obviously on their phones throughout the entire massage. That feels pretty exposing when you’re faced down and they both have their phones out, how am I supposed to know what you’re doing with your phone?? Texting? Camera? Just so incredibly unprofessional. Due to the phones they were both very distracted and did a poor job. I do not plan to return, if i do it will ONLY be with the owner.

Had a very poor experience with this place. First appointment they canceled same day of service, but Groupon I got , they redeemed without completing services. Never called to reschedule, when I called and finally rescheduled, We went there and instead of 120 mins of couple massages only 60 mins because of confusion…. All the sheets were old and not very clean. Also they charged a deposit 60$ , told us will give it back, guess what, now it’s 30 $ back. Feel like I was cheated there, never coming back

Just had an amazing massage from Anwar. He is an amazing massage therapist as well as a pleasure to speak with. I walked in tight and walked out relaxed, stretched and feeling like a new person. Great experience from calling in to schedule, being checked in at my visit to leaving relaxed. Thank you !Update Nov 2019-I am completely satisfied with massages here but dealing with the desk staff is not a fun experience. Multiple calls and finally the only person to answer my questions and get my prepaid sessions back was the owner. He was wonderful and corrected the issue and got me scheduled. The therapists are great to bad the desk staff not so much.

Happened upon a Groupon deal for a “Couples Massage for $99” at Balanced Life Massage in my email. Figured I’d call and see what it was about. Was looking to book for today, Friday, and was at first told that the Groupon isn’t honored on Fridays, bummer, but then heard someone speaking in the background and then the receptionist said they would honor it. Great! So booked it and have to admit that I was skeptical because $99 for a couples’ m is a good deal. Had an appointment for 12pm, my husband and I were running behind due to some work commitments and was afraid we’d have to reschedule or cancel, called them and they have us extra time to arrive! Great again!! So we arrive to the new location, which they had advised us about several times and they are still in transition from previous storefront. It’s ok because once inside, the inside is set up like spa. It’s clean, smells good, etc. The massages were EXCELLENT! My masseuse was Matt and he was great. My husband was with a female masseuse and he said she was great too!! The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the noise level of the place. You could hear other customers/employees talking and doors sliding open and shut the whole time, which is unfortunate because the massages are top notch, we loved it! The noise can distract from the relaxation of the experience. Hopefully, as they settle in to the new space that will be dealt with. We would definitely go back and also recommend it to others. PS: We lucked out about being able to arrive a little late because they happened to not have another appointment directly after ours. I had read in other reviews that others had not been so lucky, so I really appreciated the flexibility.

First timer, found this place on Groupon. Ive never used Groupon before so I had a question about how I could recieve the deal that was offered and my Masus Jessica D. emailed me right back and was able to match the deal I saw on Groupon. The experience was warming. Jessica D. was so personable and was able to pinpoint my pressure points. I had a 60min Deep tissue massage and she was great at it. I scheduled my next appt for a 90min massage. If you like someone to really help elevate and work on you thoroughly, Jessica D. Is the girl for you.

Ive been coming here for roughly 3 weeks. I dont know if thats excessive but it works for me.Ive had the full body massage as well as reflexology and recently cupping.All were awesome and I was totally relaxed.I had never heard of cupping before last week and Im glad I tried it. It helps the toxins in your body and it was a great experience. I feel great.Im getting all 3 today. Clean and affordable and very professional.

Easily the best massages i’ve ever had in my life. i get very tense behind my shoulder blades and no one could ever get the knots out until i started going to jermaine! he does exactly what i ask for, is kind and respectful, and has the hands of an angel. i’ve had a million massages within the tristate and i’m convinced he’s the best!

Been a member here for over 3 years and was extremely disappointed with my visit today at the new address on Murphy Rd. They should not have opened until the place is ready for business. After a 15 minute wait my therapist took me into a couples room and it was a good thing as one of the beds collapsed so at least we were able to use the other one. No heating pad on the bed, but I can deal with that. The biggest complaint, however, is the noise level. My therapist was nice enough to provide me with headphones so I could try to get a relaxing massage instead of having to listen to the constant talking from nearby rooms. The massage was good; the new facility was below standard!

Jermaine is insanely great at what he does. I have been getting massages for years and I have NEVER in my entire life had a massage like his done before. If you go here and aren’t sure about massages, request Jermaine he got you.

I have been seeing Lily for several months now, and she is excellent! She is very versatile, from deep tissue work to gentler massages for general maintenance or relaxation. She listens and pays attention to any areas I feel like need extra work, but can also figure out the areas that need focus during visits where I can’t pinpoint a particular area of soreness. I always leave feeling miles better than when I went in, and she gives good suggestions for things to try at home too.Easy to schedule appointments and the membership is very cost effective.Only issues I have are that the rooms are not very sound proofed, so you can hear other customers talking if they are loud, and I wish they would fix the bathroom inside their office. Is annoying to use the hallway bathroom with its bright lights and loud hand driers when you come out of your massage feeling relaxed.

I get regular massages (1-2 times per month). Ive been to many and even had a membership to other massage places in the area. I can honestly say this is a great place. Its a professional office in building offers a calming atmosphere with none of the chaos or noise that happens when you go to a salon/spa.I believe my massage therapist is genuinely interested in my health and well-being. We work together to solve trouble spots that come from 8-10 hours a day at a computer. After each massage, he offers recommendations on stretches and workouts to help ease tension and stress. I finally feel like I have a ally interested in helping me improve my health through massage.They also offer on-line booking with weekend hours which is a bonus.

One word amazing! very professional and educated which is appreciated. it’s not too often someone takes the time to educate you on things that are going on with your body and also show you what you should be doing to help make issues better and or prevent you from getting worse! I had a massage with Gerald last night and it was everything I needed. Gerald was so very nice, had a warm smile and made me feel very comfortable. Having had a few massages at other places, I’d say this was the best one I’ve ever had. I left feeling more like myself, calmed, relaxed and slept great that night.

I had a gift card and I needed acrylic fill with a pedicure for my cousin’s wedding. When I made the appointment I was told they could do it but they left out that their licensed nail tech quit and the sweet young lady who was doing my nails only does massages although she had cosmetology experience had no idea how to do my nails. My nails looked horrible after 2 hours but she did her best and they had hardly no supplies they were using a file trying to remove my gel polish. My pedicure which was supposed to be gel polish smudged at my cousin’s wedding after only 2 days. I went on Thursday evening and I was leaving for North Carolina Friday afternoon so I had no time to fix the disaster which inconvenienced me looking for a nail salon in North Carolina to do my nails. That whole experience was a total nightmare but the staff is friendly working with what they have. They only charged me for the $40 for the pedicure but I returned from North Carolina I wanted a refund for the smudging and I thought about it I will NEVER go near that place again for anything.

First time going to A Balanced Life Massage, and it was a wonderful experience. My therapist, Pat, was the most kind, understanding, and accommodating therapist Ive had. Im a 4 year breast cancer survivor and its difficult for me to lay comfortably on my stomach. Its difficult to find a massage therapist who specializes in post-mastectomy massage, and while she was not a specialist in this field, she tried what I suggested and did a wonderful job. Ive had therapists in the past refuse to change their personal techniques, but she did everything she could to make me comfortable. I also found out afterward that the owner specializes in some post surgery massages. I will definitely be returning!

Had a great experience! We did the date night couples massage where we learned how to massage eachother. The session included wine and aromatherapy. Jermaine was very knowledgeable and made it fun and comfortable. Highly recommend this massage for any couple looking to relax, spend some quality time together, and have a new experience!

Ive had several therapists. All were quite professional. Some stronger and more stamina than others over 90 minute period. Some customers like to talk and you can hear all they say. So, dont always expect complete silence even with music playing. Want an excellent deep-tissue massage?. This is the place.

I had such a wonderful experience with DJ. I explained to her that I had some tension areas and yet I still wanted to relax. DJ hit all the tension areas with such ease. Jermaine has magic fingers!!!! My shoulder are no longer at my ears afterwards as I have no more stress. I usually get the 90 min massage and truly appreciate his craft of knowing the pressure points and listening to what I want. I can go to no other bcuz I know I am going to get the best massage to push the toxins while working g out all of the knots in my legs, back ..everywhere bcuz I am usually a stress ball when I enter. However, when I leave...I feel like a new person and fully relaxed!

Sometimes I come in for jus a gentle effleurage massage to take away my stresses of the week. You’ll find a massage for yourself. Just stopped in for a 90 minute massage with Brian and it was fantastic, great atmosphere, very professional. Like some of the other comments mentioned it was not complete quiet in the massage room but definitely not loud enough to disturb your relaxation. Highly recommend.

This was the worst massage I’ve ever had and my massage therapist, DJ did not know how to give a deep tissue massage! She didn’t know the difference between digging into bones versus knots. She didn’t find one knot in my back even though I told her this was a problem area for me. Instead she slid her elbow onto the bones in my back. It was awful. She actually tried to massage my shin bone by sliding her forearm down my shin as hard as she could. I couldn’t believe it. I had to tell her that putting all her pressure on my shin bone didn’t feel good. All she did do was put tons of oil on my body and rub it in while leaving my entire body exposed from head to toe instead of massaging sections of my body, one at a time, making sure I was warm and comfortable. I was so upset with my experience that I wanted to tell the manager so I called him 3 times over the course of 3 weeks and left messages with the front desk but he didn’t call back once. So here I am writing my review on line. Don’t make the same mistake I did by coming here. It was the first time in my life that I wanted to get up and walk out of a massage but I didn’t want to be rude because DJ was a nice person. I highly doubt she was “trained” in this type of massage. This was a waste of money. I am writing this so other people avoid being disappointed in their services from this place as well.

The massage was good. But the customer service was not that great. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed and unengaged with customers. The masseuse made comments (mouthing ew look) to another masseuse about something I had on foot which is a birth defect. I felt that was very unprofessional and childish. As a masseuse I am sure you see things that are abnormal on ones body. Please teach your employees decorum and if they have never seen an abnormality they should not be in this field .

Excellent!! They are now my fav massage place! Been going for a month and will continue. Tatiana is an excellent masseuse and a super nice person too. If you were thinking of trying them, I say go for it!! :)

I have been going to a balanced life for years and thoroughly enjoyed my experience, but over my last 3 visits something has changed. It has not been a relaxing experience at all. One therapist spent my 90min session sneezing and coughing on me. The 2nd therapist talked the entire visit. It was like hearing a commercial on a loop. He also cut my session short, until I mentioned that it was 90min not 60. My last visit, I left in a lot of pain although I requested a Swedish massage. I told him in the consult that I really wanted a relaxing massage and he said I can tell what kind of pressure you need. I spent the next 60min tense and wincing through pain and asking for breaks.Although over the years Id has great experiences, I will not be back.

Dorothy came to give chair massages to my team on the last day of school before winter break. Massages were fantastic... very thorough from the shoulders down to the fingertips! I had my second massage with Matt and splurged for the 90 minute massage and it was well worth it! Like most of us the quarantine caused lots of extra stress and the tension and the pain was unbearable. Matt was able to locate all of these trouble spots and I’m as good as new! We got a gift to get a couples massage for our wedding for my wife and I , we called to book were on the phone for an hour booking with the owner Jermaine , received a call from Christine to say he didn’t book our appointment properly and that she had to change it , only to arrive to unfriendly faces , and again said we came at the wrong time we paid extra to receive a 90 minute massage to only receive an hour , our package was supposed to include wine and aromatherapy , didn’t receive any of it , the room was cold the massage oil was freezing , the music kept shutting off , so unprofessional and unorganized . A very relaxing experienceWith an abundant supply of arthritic and other complaints, I went to A Balanced Life Massage today seeking some relief. I also have had numerous surgeries after a dissolute life with HS and college athletics and, to be frank, I was hurting. After an hour, I left feeling drained and a bit like one of what I call puddle puppies who look so relaxed as to have been poured into a melting heap. I was fixing my thoughts on a nap before dinner. After awaking, I felt that familiar warmth and relaxation that one frequently gets from a good massage, in the hands of a practiced professional. The facility was inviting and clean and the whole experience was very rewarding and satisfying. I would rate the overall experience as being one of the top five massages that I have received in about six different countries. I would grade the experience with a B+/A- and it was very well worth the cost which, in this case, involved a Groupon.

I had the best massage I had in quite some time. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, offers a very relaxing atmosphere while providing excellent rates. Without a second thought I became a member for more frequent visits. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for great massage therapy.

I went back to A Balanced Life for the first time in about three years. My first visit was at the old location off of Silverside Road. My first time there was incredible, and I vowed to eventually go back to A Balanced Life as a splurge on myself, since I went to several other cheaper places in the three year period of time. However, I went back last Saturday (November 25, 2017), and was not impressed by the new location. The room was very small and cramped, and quite noisy from the close proximity to the entrance. My therapist was not very talkative, which is fine, but she was sniffling and coughing the entire 60 minutes. Needless to say it was not very relaxing. In addition, she sat on a stool almost the entire massage, and every time the stool moved it rumbled and made such a racket. Also, the stool did not seem to provide her with the proper leverage to give me a very effective deep tissue massage.I have had several massages in my life, and this is the first massage that I did not feel relaxed afterwards. As a matter of fact, I felt very annoyed and out of sorts that I spent my hard earned money to get more stressed and out of sorts. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I wanted to do a couples massage and before booking through Groupon I called the parlor. I was told that I can schedule the same massages (which includes wine for 2 and aroma therapy) directly instead of going through Groupon, so I did. We did not receive aroma therapy or wine. I mentioned this at checkout and instead of being helped I was directed by front desk staff to complain to the owner via email as he was the one who booked the massages. I wrote an email and have not heard back.. its been approximately a month. Very poor customer service. Massages were amateur at best.

I would never recommend this facility to anyone. I recieved a free groupon as a birthday gift. Not only did the owner redeem the groupon voucher for payment at the time of the visit,but he also charged me a the actual cost of the masaage on my creditcard. The reception claimed it was just to hold my appointment reservation. However when I called back it to rectify the situation the owner who just tried to offer me a membership the day before wouldnt even answer or return my phone calls. So I ended up paying for my own birthday gift.

My husband and I received a couples massage for our wedding gift to this place we were told ivy the owner when we booked that it was a fun date night for couples that wine 🍷, would be included as well as hot aromatherapy oil, hot towels etc , this was the worst massage experience ever first when we called to book the owner jermaine took an hour on the phone with us booking our appointment to only get a call back by Christine saying he didn’t book right and needed all of our information all over again to get there and say our time wasn’t the right time so they shorted us a half hour that we had to pay extra for, the staff look so unfriendly, they are unprofessional , the massage therapist took us back to a freezing cold room with freezing cold massage oil , the music shut off after one song and all I heard was the man massaging me stomach growling ,it was so awkward ,it was not relaxing at all it was very awkward, he some how managed to get massage oil in my eye so my eye was blurry , red , burning and I couldn’t see I definitely felt like I was being caressed and not massaged !!! I do not recommend this place

Went in for a couples massage and my boyfriend was sooo uncomfortable they give him his grandmother . Not literally but old enough. Not saying there anything wrong with that but they should ask what you prefer. The pair we had was like the odd couple. Didnt want to be rude so we went along with it. It definitely turned out to be comical at least. Laughed soo hard about the experience. Not what we expected neither was able to relax for our 90 min. Not feeling that place..

Havent had experience with others but everyone is always professional. They listen to me, address any aches and pains I have, applying the right pressure and techniques. The man who performed the massage for my wife refused to work unless she was completely naked. The groupon as was advertised as Swedish, sports, deep tissue massage. What she got was amateur chiropractry that left her in pain days later.

Very pleased. I learned about this place from Groupon. They are well priced for the services you get. My only complaint is that my massage was less than an hour by a few minutes. I feel so relaxed and I will definitely be back!

I cant say enough about how ABLM has a massage experience for everyone. You could go every day for 2 weeks and experience a different type of massage, a different masseuse each day until you find what you like. And the membership saves lots of money and excuses. You know you need one, so stop snapping at your kids or co workers and take some time for you!!!

The worst massage I have ever had, dont waste your money! I was supposed to get a 60 minutes massage, and she only did 45 minutes for some reason that I am not aware of! I feel that I need a new massage to release the tension this massage made me feel!

Paid for a 60 minute couples massage, got a 30 minute one. EDIT TO THE BUSINESSS RELPY: I arrived 30 minutes early when I was told to come 15 minutes early. And we were still taken back for the massage 5 minutes prior to the start time. It lasted 30 minutes after that.

Tables are worn out. Atmosphere is dated and old. Masseuse smelled like tobacco smoke and had freezing cold hands from coming in from a smoke break right at 4:28pm. My appointment was at 4:30pm. Hand and stone is worlds better and right across the street. First and last time going.
