Massage Envy

I want to start by saying I’ve been more than nice and even given them a few chances. Today was supposed to be my girlfriends second time going and she really didn’t want to go do to the first time we went, they put her with a light massage therapist (understand we are both new to this and never done this, mind you I did this for my girlfriend as a gift and signed us both up for 6 months) So my girlfriend had to work late, and she called about 10 minutes before and spoke to someone and I won’t say the name because I’m not that type of person. The girl then states they still have to charge her 50%. My girlfriend then states that’s ok but we can’t pay today, we will pay another time. We are members of the plan so we have to pay in order to get the next massage. Then the girl says ok and they say good bye. Within 30 seconds of them hanging up, she charges the card on file. So i then call them back and say my girlfriend just told you we will pay, just not today and you said ok but quickly charged the card after hanging up, before I can say another word the girl talks over me and I said excuse me I’m talking. She tries to continue and I stopped her and asked for her name. She says it and I hang up. Now here’s the thing, this was supposed to be a recovery for my girlfriends first horrible experience. Yea the first time she said she felt the therapist just basically touching and poking her body and didn’t feel like a massage at all. I felt horrible because this was a gift she wanted for a long time and now she has a bad taste about it all.So after the first time we went home and then she decides to tell me she wasn’t happy and it felt nothing like a massage. I called to speak to the manager and she was gone for the day and spoke to the assistant manager and she said there’s nothing they can do but for the next visit they will put her with someone stronger, like what? I just paid almost $200 with tips and that’s what u tell me, no unacceptable. She then talks over me and gives me an attitude then says call back when the manager is here and hangs up on me.I called the manager a few days later and expressed the whole situation and she apologized for it all and said let’s get your girlfriend back and make this right, I said cool, I set up for today but again, work kept her and that’s understandable, but to charge us again for something that was supposed to be a recovery is a major blow to both of our faces. Can not believe the way this operates and as a business owner, I could never let anyone feel as they were not important. Everyone is a VIP in my eyes and all are treated equal. Here I felt as a number, it’s as if no one here has any integrity. I won’t let her go back nor will I ever recommend this location and will try another location. Now I see what they lock you in a contract so you can’t drop them but still have to pay. Wow, just wow!

I am visiting from Denver and made a last-minute appointment at this location. I think I must’ve gotten lucky getting on Andres’ books because he only had 1 opening, and dang. That was the best massage I’ve ever had. I wish I could bring him back to Colorado! If you like a firm massage and a good stretch, do yourself a favor and book with Andres!

Maddie is amazing! She creates such a comfortable atmosphere and really listens to what you are looking for in a therapeutic massage. I highly recommend her!

Overall, the scheduling of my service and the explanation of what the service entails. I paid 2 sessions for a microdermabrasion for it only to be in total about a 25 minute service. Since Ive been going to massage envy Ive never had a service less than 1 hour total. I was done getting dressed and leaving the room at 8:42! My service didnt even start on time. I took a photo because I was in shock when I looked at the clock after my service. The therapist showed up late (7 minutes) then brought me in after getting settled (8:12). This was not the issue at all. The issue was no one explained the service would only be this amount of time or the fact that when I called and asked for a facial I would only be getting microdermabrasion. I am unhappy with the service and I will most definitely be cancelling my membership soon. If I didnt have over 6 sessions to utilize I would cancel it now.The communication with Heather could have been better. She offered something as a courtesy due to the issue I had to only call back and change the originally agreed upon offer. Her reasoning being OTHER locations dont do this. However, I am in fact very aware that most locations are independently owned and separately franchised and operated. So, I am not entirely sure why what other locations do would dictate and prevail over what this location does. I typically do not have issues here other than when they scheduled a male therapist although I asked for female and when the therapist did not “know” they had my session scheduled and never showed up. After 5+ years, Massage Envy will not be getting anymore of my money!

I too was a member but had to cancel when I realized they were false advertising their services. Everyone needs to know that they promote 60-minute session but ONLY PROVIDE 45-MINUTES OF HANDS ON SERVICE.This is deceptive, false and unfair business practices.

So disappointed. Ive been going to this location for a little less than a year and finally found a massage therapist that listened to my concerns and addressed them at every visit. Unfortunately, the front of house leaves something to be desired. Their system didnt process my monthly payment and suspended my account. I didnt hear about this until 40 minutes before my scheduled massage with Olivier when I received an email cancelling my appointment. I called and was told my account was on suspend because my credit card expired. My credit card on file does not expire until 2026. They ran it again and it went through fine, but said my appointment had already been given to someone else. I strategically scheduled this appointment to be the day after a PT session. They didnt even apologize. They just kept repeating that their policy is to cancel appointments if the account is on suspend. Terrible customer service. Oh! They called me at 8a the morning of the appointment and gave me two hours to respond. I work like many people and was in meetings from 8a until 11:30a. Maybe if they were more organized they would have contacted me sooner - theyre great about sending text reminders and email reminders for dayyyyyss before the appointment - this would have been resolved. Genuinely considering taking my business elsewhere.

This was my first experience at Massage Envy and this visit did not make a great impression. As soon as I walk into this location there is a man by the counter eating and then rushes off like he was not supposed to be there, The woman behind the counter was on her phone and she wasnt very welcoming. She gave me some paperwork to fill out and when I get back up to hand her the tablet, Im struggling to get her attention away from her phone.I was then sent to the tranquility room where you could hear the estheticians laughing so loud in the back and talking about guests. Being a cosmetologist, there is absolutely no way I would treat my guests like this. How am I supposed to undress and be comfortable with them if 10 minutes ago I hear them laughing about another guest?!Moving on to the massage - I came in 20 minutes before my appointment and didnt start until 10 minutes after our scheduled time. I understand things happen and people run behind, but if I am paying for a 50 minute massage, I would really like to receive a 50 minute massage.Just to top it all off, I walk back out to the lobby, just to hear another guest complaining about her experience. I guess I wasnt the only one not impressed... Once I made it to the register, the two associates behind the counter whisper to each other about a guest sitting up front because apparently she was taking too long filling out the forms. Super mature guys.At least they had mints and it was clean!

DONT BOTHER: was excited to try a new experience with a new company, I was told by others not bother. Anyways I called and got hung up on, upon asking questions. Then called back and placed on hold until someone picked up and hung up on me. Then spoke to someone who apparently didn’t have time to make this company money, because all she did is huff and puff about scheduling. If I have to spend this much time trying to get a service, then you can kiss my cash goodbye.

It was myself and my mother’s first time at this location. I set up a 60 min massage for my mom, and she really enjoyed her time there! Jenny was super sweet and took care of her the way I hoped. Unfortunately the young ladies at the front made a terrible impression with us. Super rude and unprofessional. Asked to be checked out and I was stared at in confusion.

I had a great experience with this location yesterday. After being disappointed with everything at the Oviedo office, I decided to book up my remaining credits and cancel with them. I came to Winter Park since Oviedo lacked the availability I needed and since they do not have any female therapist. Helen at Winter Park was amazing during my 90 minute massage yesterday! I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time, and I felt immediately better after my session. I told her how I was unhappy with Oviedo and she was shocked at my experience, but assured me that she has heard similar stories from 3 other Oviedo clients recently. It is nice to know that Helen has been working with the company for 10 years and ensured me that there are plenty of therapists on deck in case she is not available. She also informed me that I was being charged way too much at Oviedo and to speak with the girls at the front on my way out. I forgot to grab their names, but both of the ladies at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. One of them was the front desk manager. She apologized on Massage Envys behalf for my experience with Oviedo, which she did not have to do. She reassured me that is not how the company wants their clients to feel and said she would help me out with getting things rectified. I was planning on cancelling with Massage Envy, but the service at Winter Park has made me excited to get my monthly services again. I will be cancelling my membership with Oviedo and resigning with Winter Park!

I was a long time member for facials. When a microdermabrasion went wrong and rubbed a hole in my cheek, it still hadn’t healed in weeks. Management wouldn’t even apologize or offer a courtesy oxygen facial to help healing. I quit my membership.

I’ve always had a great experience with Massage Envy. The providers I’ve had have always been caring and professional. I last had Jenny who was amazing and probably the best massage I have had, and I’ve had many. I’ve been gifted luxury spa experiences and the massage she provided surpassed that experience.

I was given a gift card for $60 to Massage Envy last Christmas. A 60 minute massage costs $110 so I wouldnt have even considered it without the gift card but figured Id give it a shot.Ive now booked a massage online TWICE at this location only to arrive and be told that my appointment had been cancelled. Not right away though, after 15 minutes of trying to figure out what happened, they eventually figure out that the therapist I had booked had called in sick and that they had left a voicemail about the cancellation. But I didnt get any voicemails either time. No voicemail, email, text message, nothing. Same exact issue TWICE, months apart. The only help they offer is to re-book your appointment on another day.After reading other reviews online it appears that it is a common practice to reschedule and cancel without much notice, if any.There are plenty of reasonably priced massage services around and always tons of deals on Groupon. Dont waste your money at Massage Envy when you can get the same thing for half the price elsewhere (with better service). Ill be giving away my gift card this Christmas. Hopefully someone will have better luck than I did.

They are frequently cancelling my wifes scheduled maternity massage sessions because the therapist isnt showing up to work. Rediculous considering they charge you if you cancel with 24hrs, yet they cancel on you and say sorry, well try again in two weeks. What a ripoff.

First Visit Lakesha was my therapist. She did great and her therapy session was fulfilled to what I asked for prior to my appointment. Atmosphere is clean and inviting. Have membership options with different accommodations will recommend 1000%.

Great staff at this location. I stopped by yesterday for a deep tissue massage and unfortunately the masseuse I came to see was out for the day so I was helped by Monica. Although she told me she doesnt do deep tissue massages, she still gave me an amazing massage. Ive been going to Massage Envy for over a year, to various locations, but I would have to say this is my favorite in the Orlando area. Thank you Monica for beating up my back so I could have some relief yesterday. I would highly recommend this location.

Was having a problem with placing my plan on a billing freeze and a question as to why some New York Massage Envy wish to not honor the plan pricing set by my Florida plan. I spoke to a very knowledgeable individual by the name of Julia who was very helpful and immediately forwarded me the necessary paperwork to place my plan on hold and additional information on plan pricing.

If you’re looking to relax and get your full times worth don’t visit this location.The esthetician was kind but the whole experience felt rushed, and by the time we were finished and I checked the time, it had only been 45minutes. My session was suppose to be 60minutes. Now I understand dress/consultation time but 45minutes? Really? I’ve had a long week and came by to be relaxed not rushed. The front desk told me a manager would be contacting me about this, but it’s been 3 days now and no phono call or email.I’ll be going to other locations now and not recommending this one.

The one massage I got was wonderful, however I was then talked into joining to save money that day. I was told I could cancel at any time. Yah so no. I have been busy so 4 months stacked up and I was going to cancel. So I called and was told I have to go in to “start the paperwork process” . I had to get a new check card and suddenly they are calling me every day and holding the months they owe me hostage and trying to get a new credit card number out of me over the phone. No one cares or calls when you don’t come in, but cancel your card and they harass you every day and won’t cancel by phone. So owed 4 months of service I was charged for, they are frozen and I can’t use them, and now “ im delinquent” what ever you do don’t get talked into a “membership”

No the best experience...My boyfriend got me a gift card for Massage Envy to help me release stress and feel better physically. I’ve been so looking forward to scheduling this session and have some me time. When I called to book the session, the person on the phone was able to book me for the same day appointment which I thought was great, but they never asked if I had a therapist preference or what my goal was for my massage session (it would be helpful to pair a client up with the right therapist). When I arrived 15 minutes early to my scheduled massage session, my temperature was checked and I signed a waiver, then I waited until a little after my scheduled time (no one let me know how long it would be, no updates at all). When my assigned therapist came to get me, she let the reception know that I still need to do the paperwork. By the time I finished the paperwork and walked back to the room, it was at least 10mins into my session (not to count undressing). The session itself felt rushed. The room was cold. I had goosebumps on my body. I asked massage therapist to focus on my back, and most of the time was spent on my shoulders (I’m thankful for the therapist trying to get the knots out of my shoulders, I know I need work and attention in that area, but I specifically asked for my back). The rest of the body was skimmed through. When I was told that I was done, I looked at the clock and felt cheated (it was 10 mins left to the end of the session, so the time that I spent waiting and then doing paperwork during my session time because they forgot or didn’t pay attention was never added to the session). The session started late, but finished on time. I get it you have the schedule to follow and need to prepare the room for the next appointment, but then you need to be on top of your game. I came in early. This was my Intro session, needless to say I would not be signing up for a membership, nor would I recommend it to my friends or clients. The customer service was just below average. This is where franchise businesses need to pay attention and focus on client experiences from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they are out and every step of the way.

Stephanie was the best! Me and my girlfriend have had a few massages now and she did amazing. professional and knew how to get those knots out. So relaxing and refreshing. The front counter staff was very nice as well.

The WORST customer service at the Winter Park Massage Envy. I booked a massage 4 weeks before the date of service, and received a call less than 2 hours before the service was supposed to start that the service was canceled. The only thing offered was an “enhancement” on my next massage. For those who have not booked a service at a Massage Envy, if a customer canceled a service 2 hours before the service was set to start, the customer would be charged for the service. The managers on site the Winter Park location were TERRIBLE. Would NOT recommend this location to ANYONE.

The massage was very good. It was my first time there.... I was 15 minutes late and then I had to fill out info about myself which took another 10 minutes. They took that time off my massage!!

Best massages in town!!! Super clean and freshly remodeled. Staff is exceptionally friendly. Hands are borderline magical. Facials offered at a reasonable price. Membership options which would include a discount on services. Cant beat it if you tried. Im a firm believer in massages and these are great!

I am a member at Massage Envy and Was really looking forward to booking an appointment. Asked all the right questions, had everything set up and the receptionist wouldn’t confirm my appointment until I gave her my credit card over the phone. I insisted for her to hold my appointment until I could get my credit card since I didn’t have it in front of me and she wouldn’t. I called 10 minutes later and the appointment was ‘gone’ and suddenly they were booked for the day. Real unprofessional and not at all customer service oriented. Looking forward to going back to my usual locations. Terrible policy!

I received a massage here once and scheduled a second time. The therapist I had the first time was fantastic. Male therapist but I cant remember his name. The second time my fiancee and I set up appointments for a couples massage, specifically requesting 2 male therapists. I checked 3 different dates with the front desk woman before we found a day 2 male therapists were available for a couples massage. My fiancee and I went in, were taken back to their tranquility room and then a female and male therapist come up to take us back. The woman was the same one my fiancee had previously had and said she was terrible. I went up to the front desk, told them about the mix up and all she had to say was oh, well someone put it in the computer as no preference for the second therapist. I told her she was wrong, we requested 2 males and she never even apologized, just said do you want to reschedule? I did not reschedule. Im quite appalled by her lack of customer service. Not even an apology for THEIR mistake. I will not go back.

I have been going to the massage envy on Aloma next to the First Watch, Nail Salon, and Aloma Cinema Grille for about a year. The staff there is super nice, and the place is very clean. Marissa is definitely the best masseuse. She truly cares about making you feel better and relaxed. She is very kind and wonderful at her job. I always leave feelings relaxed and refreshed. I recommend massage envy to everyone!

I got a gift card and booked at the Winter park location. (Big mistake) first, while sitting in the waiting area... theres a female who sits in the public massage chair. 10 minutes later she gets called in, a few minutes later a man walks in who was waiting for his wife and he asks can I sit on this chair? The girl at the front says SURE! doesnt wipe down the chair, doesnt tell him to wipe down the chair, while the previous person was barefoot with her feet on the massager too. This grossed me out and made me concerned on the sanitation routine they are practicing. (If any)Then, its a 60 minute FULL body massage, I got an upper back massage for 60 mins! HORRIBLE! My husband was also scheduled for a massage which he got. He expressed that the massage therapist never asked if she was pressing to hard or to soft, was he comfortable, etc.. I noticed that they have a lot of regulars that seem to go there and those are the ones who get special treatment.Anyways, I do not recommend this location and will never go back.

I was offered a membership for 6 months. The massages are great if you can get an appointment. Most of the time you call to make an appointment and you get a voicemail. You expect a call back in order to schedule your appointment, it rarely happens at this location. In addition, the process to make an appointment in another clinic is simply a pain because you have to fill out again all the forms for each location.My recommendation if you want to ensure you relax and enjoy, plan 30 minutes of meditation prior going there or calling for an appointment and you will be able to appreciate the massage. The therapists that are awesome!I will not renew my membership and hire a massage therapist instead.

Whatever you do, DONT sign up for the membership. While the massages are fine for the price (not medical massage, but feel good), I lost hundreds of dollars I can never get back. When the membership was presented to me by a receptionist/salesperson, I thought I could cancel at any time. Had I read more closely, I would have seen that if you cancel in the first year, you still have to pay for the rest of the annual membership or pay a fine. Then, once cancelled, you must use all your massages youve accumulated within 30 days of your last billing charge. Otherwise, you lose that money and the service forever. Well, I got busy. I also have a handicap that prevents me from driving. I racked up six massages, and now that my membership is up I will be able to use only two of those six Ive paid for. I tried to cancel in October which is when I found out I couldnt without losing even more money.Overall, its not a bad experience if you stick to buying your services individually as a non-member. But they try to rope you in with the promises of how great the membership is. I also liked that I could give my massages to other people, and I thought you could do one per person per month for free - wrong. Its a $10 charge to transfer it even if youve already paid for it. Basically Ive ended up paying $91 per massage without including tips. So not really a bargain.As for the quality, some of their therapists are great, most are average. I never got a facial or any of the other special services.

I must say in the 9 days Ive been a member, Ive been called three times to reschedule appointments. The excuse is we have issues with our online scheduling system sometimes. The reason is really that their masseuse only get paid for the time they are giving massages. Since people are booking their own appointments online, there sometimes is a gap. So instead of the employee or the company finding a solution to this problem, they call the client, who has already booked a time that is convenient for them and ask them to reschedule or book with another masseuse. Sorry, I dont want just anyone giving me a massage. If I have established a relationship with a masseuse, thats who I want. Scheduling is real pain in the a$$ and Im just going to start cancelling my appointments when they call instead of trying to readjust my schedule.

Massages were fine, but after cancelling my membership my card has been charged every month for the past three months, despite calling each time to complain. Each time I have been assured the issue is taken care of. At this point I feel they either dont know what theyre doing or are intentionally dishonest.

Love this place and the staff. I wish the middle aged white women didnt give them such a hassel. You pay for your time, you get it all. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to be seen after your scheduled appointment, but its a health service provided... Much like a doctors office. Some people just dont get it. these people work with their hands all day for hours at a time. Sometimes breaks between clients are needed.

Every massage therapist I’ve had here has been great, whether I want a deep tissue or a more relaxing massage. The girls at the front are also kind and helpful. I’ve had only pleasant experiences at this Massage Ency location, which I can’t say for other locations.

Half the time I make an appointment or my girlfriend does I end up getting a call saying the therapist didn’t come in today. Usually on very short notice. Today I was notified 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Very unprofessional and irresponsible.

I had purchased a gift card and was told even if I lost the gift card, my name and information would be in the system. The gift card was purchased with no expiration date! When I decided to go in to use the gift card, I was not able to locate the actual card. I went in to see if I would be able to use the gift card, my information was in the system, because the receptionist confirmed the name and saw that it had never been used. However, I was told massage envy stopped the program because apparently it was being abused.......... However, I think it is extremely unfair that they would not honor what they originally told me and now I had paid for a gift card and basically I am screwed!!!!!! They offered no compensation AT ALL!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

Second worst massage I have ever had. The room temperature was cold and the blankets along with the massage oil was cold. I’ve been getting massage since I was 18, I’m 31 now. In my experience there’s usually a heating pad or a heated massage table. Besides that the girl who gave me a massage had a some body order issues and was basically rubbing the oil on me with a slight massage when I asked for deep tissue. I also asked for her to focus on my back more but she worked on that the least. I was planning on purchasing a membership but after that massage I will never go back. I envy nothing about massage envy.

Great massage therapist here - one star reduced because they stopped offering any water under the premise of COVID. Bottled water is not a hazard nor is water served just like coffee at Starbucks or other spots by the staff with masks and gloves. Otherwise, very nice place and would recommend.

Bad customer service. My wife had a bad experience with the masseuse. You would be better off looking on Google for a higher rated massage place. I have read some of the other reviews about over billing and mis billing. Management really missed the mark on correcting these mistakes. I understand when mistakes are made but its how they are handled that shows the true character of an establishment. Go somewhere else if you want a pleasant experience.

Bad experience here. They tried charging me $90 for a sixty minute Massage. Then the male therapist did not have a good touch and he messed up my neck. Now every time I turn my head it cracks and makes a noise that it did not do prior to the massage. My back hurt terribly on and off for two weeks After the Massage. Would Not Recommend At All. Bad experience.

Ive been going to this location off and on for many years. Everytime I get a good massage therapist to stick with, they end up gone the next time I visit. Therefore the massage experience is always hit or miss. Also, the hour massage is only 40-45 mins of massage time, the allocate 15-20 mins to prep. The place is nice and staff is pleasant but not the best massage you will have.

Absolutely love this place. Taylor at the front is very sweet and Steven is my favorite masseuse. Im very loyal to him, he does a great job! He really listens to what the client wants.

Everyone there was extremely friendly, the massage therapist I saw was very thorough and worked wonders on my back issues. My sciatic nerve had been pinched for a couple weeks and this helped tremendously! I am definatley going back in the near future!

Andres does some excellent work. I highly recommend him if you are to try this location. Never been disappointed by a massage from him.

I have been going here for years. Great massage therapist. Staff very helpful. Leslie C. Is the best. I have back issues and I stand straight can move so much easier. She is Awesome very helpful!!!!!

Worst massage I’ve ever had. Therapist was ten minutes late, used lotion when I requested oil, did not use the aromatherapy I requested, and was totally rushed in everything from setting me up to the actual massage.

The staff here are truly incredible. All of the employees who work at the front desk are always so sweet and know me by name! I love being a member here because its my go to place for some relaxation!

Just had a massage from Jennifer tonight and she was the third female therapist I have tried since I signed on with the membership. She is the one I think I will stick with for now on. She was awesome!

Great customer service, convenient location & hours, and very professional therapists! Due to the work I do, I need a good therapeutic massage and Massage Envy always comes through. Looking forward to my next massage here!

Must make an appointment. Went to see about getting a massage while I had the day off and they are booked till after 2pm. Receptionist was pleasant just disappointed I cant get a massage today

They cut my massage time and i was told the manager would call me back she never did!!!! Not the first time!!!! I will not renew my membership and i highly suggest you dont even consider them!!! Theyre all the same!!!

The service, quality, professional staff, everything is going down, you don’t feel that spa ambiance anymore, canceling my membership after like 11 years with them or more.

Terrible location - every other store in Central Florida has been great to work with but for some reason Winter Park location does not answer the phone at all. I have called this location dozens of times without getting someone on the phone.

I have neck issues snd headaches. The massage I had was the best I have ever had. I felt so much better after going. I highly reccomend!

Christy is the absolute best. She listens to you and adjusts massage accordingly. She allows you to be quiet. But, she is also a great listener. A gem.

They never pick up the phone and never have femal therapists available in the evening or night time. Pretty bad staffed all around. The place itself is decent

Several calls placed to schedule an appointment, as their online requires a full user signup prior to booking. No one will answer phones. Will not return to this location as they cannot seem to manage answering any phone calls.
