J Relaxing Massage

This place was convenient for me to visit because while Im at work its only a 5 minute drive so, yesterday I paid them a visit. My back was aching so I looked up where I might be able to get a massage and J popped up. I arrived and stepped into their dark like shop where the attendant greeted me with a card showing the prices, I asked her a question and she looked puzzled, I assumed she didnt speak English but asked her again, she responded by asking her head and shrugging her shoulders. Ok, so she pointed towards the hallway and as I walked towards it she led me to a room. Once I was on the table a person came in and started to rub on my back, they gently rubbed and uses hot stones on my back, I never asked for hot stones. After a great time of gentle back rubbing he wiped my back down with 4 different hot towels, I thought this was so unnecessary, the oil could have been left on and more time spent actually massaging (if you even want to call that gentle rubbing a massage). Now he moved on to my calves and applied oil to them in a rubbing up and down motion(not massaging). I asked 4 times for him to apply pressure, he never did. This was the absolute WORST was ever to spend money for a massage. If this is how they massage everyone they should not be in business. I will for sure not give them mine again.

That was by far the worst chair massage I received in over twenty years of getting chair massages in airports all over the world. He literally was grinding his elbow on either side of my spine fir the entire 45 minutes. Even worse, way too long in the same spot. Never touched my arms or hands, or above the belt line where most of the back pain usually occurs. Neither employee spoke any English except for: What, no tip?

Been here several times. It goes well only when the guy does the massage, last time I was there the lady kept squeezing my shoulders in the same spot until they started to hurt, starting my massage until he was done with another client. I paid with card but when I tried to tip with cash she said No, that thats not enough. I thought there was a misunderstanding and explained I was paying with card and giving cash as a bonus, but she said Hes very good, he deserves a bigger tip. The guy kept saying thank you awkwardly trying to let me go but the gal behind the counter was intent on pressuring me into a bigger tip. I liked this place because it was cheap but evidently they demand big tips instead of charging what they want for their services.

I absolutely LOVE this place.!!! 3 of us went this time, my friend got an hour full body, my husband got a 30 minute and I indulged in a 90 minute full body + foot massage.!!! Everyone of us walked out feeling so much better.!!! Every time I come here I’m well taken care of.!!! I had Amy this time, she’s amazing.!!! My husband and my friend were very grateful with their ladies too.!!!They make going back to work so much easier.!!!By the way, their prices are more than fair too.!!!I’m very very grateful for J Relaxing.!!!

This place used to be great! Best chair massage around. Staff changed and dont know what happened. Tried again yesterday and spine bruised today. They qre nice people, but, need proper training.

I been here many times and have had different experiences depending on who you get. My experience with Kim was not pleasant and at the end she demanded a tip when I was not entirely satisfied with her job. On the other hand Ive had Susan and she has always been very kind. Be sure to ask for someone that will be kind and have good customer service

I only did the 15 minute chair massage but when I went in there it was nice and quiet they helped me pretty much immediately. the chair was right there they actually did a really good massage. They do mostly a bit of the shoulders and middle back and arms and hands it was great and exactly what I needed and a really reasonable price. I would definitely recommend it and I will be telling family about it.

My daughter and I just had an amazing experience at J Relaxing Massage! They even stayed open a little later for us to enjoy a 30 minute foot massage followed by a 60 minute full body massage on a Friday night. Everything was perfect! Emily gave me the best massage I have ever had! Definitely coming back!!! 😊

This place is definitely the best massage spot in town. Their staff are kind and professional. The facility is always super clean and has a relaxing feeling. My favorite is always the full body massage, relief my stress a lot. Also they have good specials, prices are very affordable. Highly recommended!

I really like this place, BUT you have to find the right person. Since of these girls have no real training. But some are very good and Ill only go to these therapists. They dont have a command of the English language, so be simple and bread in your conversations. Their prices are very good, but you have to get the right person

From very start Male staff tried cracking my back to point it took my breath away. Rough shoulder blade massage so told him it hurt but he just said ok shh. Hot stones were too hot and he rubbed so hard I felt it on my bones. Pushed on inner thighs which was uncomfortable and hurt. No more male massages from that place. Still sore this evening from it.

Im a nurse in Bakersfield & visited my parents here in Woodland. You can only imagine how tired and sore my body from walking and pulling patients for 12 hours when I work. I had 2 sessions of 1 hour full body massage and oooohhh did all the aches go away! It is possible people! Lol. Mary gives the best massage she just hits the sore spots as if she already knows where it is before you even walk in that door.

We’re here on vacation from IL and I’ve been there 4 different times while on vaca here! I get massages regularly at home because of stress and neck issues and i was amazed at how good they were! Fabulous -absolutely recommend them, very friendly and every time I called they got me in! Wonderful place and great people!

Good massage received from the staff working with me. I did not get her name. Only drawback is chair massage is done in their front lobby. Pretty sure Ill make return visits!

This was my first time getting a massage. I came in with shoulder blade pain and I felt so much better afterwards. I got the chair massage for 15min and it was worth it. Prices are affordable.

Purchased 4 gift cards for 30 minute foot and hour body body massages. Every time I try to use them they will not see me or schedule appointment. Wasted $200

The place is nice neat & clean. But I want to try a different maybe male therapist next time.

Told masseuse my hip and right back was in pain. Neglected to do any of the work to get pain to subside. Was irritating to pay for shoulder and generic rub of shoulders and legs. Told her two more times and she neglected to use more force in troubled area. Will never go back here again!

Best place in Woodland California to get a massage.. its clean, theyre courteous and they do have both female and male massage therapist. the prices are the best..

I love this place. They are so accommodating - especially when its a last minute check in. I love the vibe and the staff and they are so friendly and peaceful. I would come here all the time.
