Massage Heights Abilene

I recently visited Massage Heights that was running a promotion where purchasing $150 or more in services would grant a complimentary one-hour session. My plan was to use the free hour alongside cupping and a foot scrub, and then use a gift card to cover the same services on a second visit. Unfortunately, my experience was far from relaxing.On my second visit, I encountered a frustrating situation. Despite the fact that the staff member who assisted me was the same person who issued my gift card just 30 days prior, she refused to honor it because I didnt have the physical voucher with me. Her demeanor made me feel uncomfortable and pressured, suggesting that this situation could have been avoided if I had signed up for their membership program. It made me wonder if other customers were subjected to the same tactics.Every time I leave, I feel pressured into buying a membership rather than simply being allowed to pay and leave peacefully. During my second visit, she even called her manager to ask if she could honor the gift card, implying that I was attempting to leave without paying. This approach felt toxic and uncomfortable, not just for me but for other customers I observed being pressured in a similar manner.Additionally, the staff member mismanaged my transactions, causing disruptions to my bank account for weeks. The entire experience left me feeling more stressed than relaxed. Overall, my visits were tainted by aggressive sales tactics and poor customer service, overshadowing any benefits of the massage services themselves.

I love Message Heights 💕. The staff is super friendly and call you by name. The atmosphere is very clean and professional. The price for members is very reasonable. I have and will continue to recommend this place to everyone I know.

Great customer service I did this for my mom so I was very satisfied with how clean it was and her massager was so sweet!!

Received a great deep tissue massage here with a foot scrub add-on. Only disappointment was to realize that the “90-minute massage” I booked was only 70 minutes. In reality it was probably even shorter than that, because that’s just the time I left and returned to my car. Otherwise a good place.

Please beware! I cancelled my membership in November 2023 and noticed I was charged 3 x $ 89.99 on 3/18/24, 3/19/24, and 3/22/24 on my debit card.I called twice last week and was told my membership was cancelled and I would receive a refund and that Eddy the manager would call me back. He never did.I called Monday, 3/25/24, and was was told Eddy would call me back, that my membership was cancelled and I would receive a refund but never received a call back. I did finally have to tell them that I was going to dispute it with my credit card, contact their corporate and possibly BBB if I did not receive a refund.Eddie did finally call me back and tell me he would process the refund today and my membership was cancelled. I asked to have all my card information deleted and he said only corporate can do that. This makes me very nervous!I followed up today 3/26/24 with corporate as I still do not see any refund being processed. They told me they would follow up with Eddy and that they cannot delete my card information only the branch can so needless to say I am very nervous!

I decided to check MH out for the first time because I found a Groupon for a 90 min massage plus elevation.So many positives about the business. Cool but not cold inside (it’s getting warmer out), linens were soft and everything smelled great to boot. The atmosphere was lovely and the ladies at the front were so nice and helpful.Imagine my surprise when my masseuse told me that it was, in fact, not a 90 min massage but an 80 min one “once contact starts”. Which apparently included my elevation during those 80 mins (I had chosen the facial massage). And while she was wonderful at checking in with me and carefully focusing on a tight knot in my shoulder, I felt she wasn’t too pleased to have me on her table while I was sleepy (I work nights).This was my first ever massage that was more than an hour and I left feeling like I’d gotten less in that “80 mins” than I have for any hour long massage I’ve had in the past. While the main focus was my back, she didn’t even massage along the outer parts of my back, away from my spine.When the “80 mins” was up (410-525) I asked if the short massage she had done on my face after having me turn over was the elevated facial and she said “yes, I even rubbed it for a long time”, despite me having checked the clock throughout and it having lasted maybe 8 mins. Not too much of a major complaint because it was just a free bonus but I was certainly miffed that it took time out of my “80 mins”. I left a $50 cash tip regardless.I have been looking for a place to visit each month now that I live here and after today (Sat Mar 4, 2024) I don’t think this is the establishment for me.

Ive been a member for almost 3 years and its still my favorite part of the month. Opted for the CBD Therapy today with Tasha, and wow! It made an already enjoyable massage, even more relaxing. Definitely recommend!!

Great place 👌 to get bodywork and facials. As a Massage Therapist this is my go to for my biweekly recovery and favorite therapists that can focus on our treatment plan for my body.

Got my girl a massage from here; she was soo excited about how good her masseuse Amanda was. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of this place.

I got a facial and it honestly wasn’t that bad the staff was welcoming and nice, but I had booked a session to help with my acne and black heads. The lady used the same tool I use at home, and didn’t tell me till after the session that if I decide to come back than to ask for the vacuum to help with my black heads. I expected for it to be provided ir at least let me know before I payed.

Fantastic experience! It started with Jacob at the front desk. He was amazing with answering my questions and familiarizing me with the different plans and services. Then Renae did an amazing job with my massage, taking extra care of trouble spots because I have physically disabilities. I felt pampered, relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend Barbara, she was fantastic at helping me ease my pain from a crick in my neck from over the weekend! The studio was clean and calming, I was greeted nicely at the front desk and by my therapist. The membership is a contract which was the only reason I didn’t commit personally. Nice experience for my first time!

Being a member of Massage Heights has proved to be a frustrating stressful experience instead of fun and relaxing. I WOULD NOT recommend it to ANYONE!First let me say that I have kept my membership for close to 2 years. Most of the time when I tried to get an appointment there was no availability. Twice when I was booked, THEY CANCELED ON ME! Once I called to change my appointment giving them over a 2 hour notice and they charged me as a no show.So finally I decide it’s just not worth it, and cancel my membership, asking if I would still be able to get the massages that I had paid for and they said yes. I had 4 credits.Yesterday they text me that they had appointments available today and I booked for 5 pm. today. I received an email and confirmed. Then this afternoon they called wanting me to come 10-15 minutes early to update my paperwork. So I left work early rushed over to do paperwork, as I was finishing I was informed that since I had canceled my membership I would be PAYING NON MEMBER PRICES TODAY, she says” didn’t anyone tell you that?” What about my credits that I paid for??? “ I’m so sorry, your grace period has expired”Non professional, no appointments available and not honoring what I had paid for! That’s they way to win customers ...Definitely NOT!I feel ripped off and my time was disrespected!Their business plan is all in favor of them, customer service is bottom of their priorityNow let me just end by stating that I would not have canceled my membership nor would I have had to worry about the grace period ( that I didn’t know about) if they ever had appointments available

The services I have received have been wonderful! The massages and facials have both been very relaxing. Each therapist I have seen are knowledgeable and professional. The front desk staff are welcoming and make sure your experience is the best it can be. The linens they use are very high end. I am impressed with their services!

I had a deep tissue message. My back had really been hurting. David definitely delivered to my needs and was very attentive to the areas that were really bothering me. My appointment started on time which I was happy about and I did get the full hour I paid for. I do recommend.

Everyone working here is so kind and helpful. I’ve gotten a few body massages and facials at this point, and it has been consistently wonderful. Very easy to book appointments and change if you need to and well worth the membership. I’m sad my favorite person (Milie) left but I’m hoping to find a new favorite :)

Best place to go for a massage in town by far. I stress out easily and they really help eliminate alot of it. The membership here has been well worth it. Tasha and amber are definitely my go to therapists. Theyre life savers and Id recommend this place to anyone. The environment is very professional and friendly.

Being my first massage therapy experience i had no idea what to expect, it was everything I needed and then some! Walked in with upper back/neck pain and walked out without it!

I tried this place for the first time. Appears to be clean. My massage session was just “OK”. Nothing great but wasn’t horrible. I honestly felt like I couldn’t relax. My therapist talked the entire time and I felt obligated to have the conversation with her. A few responses to her questions lead to a full blown conversation for my entire 90min session. I couldn’t truly relax and let my mind go or enjoy the realizing music because she kept talking. I couldn’t be rude/blunt to say to stop taking and because of that I feel I wasted money here. I enjoy conversation otherwise, just not when I’m trying to relax, de-stress, and get my massage. Yes I still tipped good because that’s just me..but I don’t see myself ever going back to this place. They are way over priced. Other massage places that have more reasonable pricing for services and where you’re truly able to relax and enjoy your massage. I hate contracts so didn’t get the “membership” they try to talk you into getting.The non-introductory 60 min (1hr) session price is $139.00 and a 90 minute session is $209.00!!! Absurd!!! I know of and go to another place that is absolutely wonderful that only charges $75 for 60 mins and $115 for 90mins. I won’t be going back to this place.

Jacob, rob, Tasha, Juliet are all ROCKSTARS. If you want to relax, especially if you’ll go regularly. This is the place!

I went in for a facial and loved every minute of it!! The staff was VERY friendly and the facility was very clean. The environment was peaceful and very upscale. I fell in love with the sheets they use and actually bought some for my home!! Looking forward to a massage next time!

Signed my wife up for a massage around Valentines day and she loved it so much that I signed her up for a year subscription which has some great benefits. I may have to try it myself as well!

Been coming here for a couple years now. Every therapist I’ve seen has done a great job, most recently, Juliette and Pamela. I highly recommend for self care!

Hands down the worst massage I have had. I carry tension in my shoulders and had knots and tightness going into the massage, and still have the same knots and tension post massage. I am incredibly disappointed and will definitely not return, nor will I ever return to this establishment. Trust me, don’t waste your time or money on this place.

I love the convenience of being able to schedule a same-day or next-day massage right when I’m really needing it. Walking in to Massage Heights, I am always immediately relaxed, and I have enjoyed every massage and facial service I’ve received. I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed!

I had a kidney transplant 2 years ago and might back and shoulder areas were knotted up. I was given a deep tissue massage and came out feeling great and loose. My headache and tightness were gone. Thanjs so much.

A tailored massage to my needs and areas of work needed. Personal, congenial, extremely professional and a great atmosphere! Very reasonable. Definitely become a member and make time for yourself!

The staff was professional, and had good communication.Only negative was that the linen used had some stains. I did not like that. It appeared clean, but should have just been tossed out.

What a beautiful spa for Abilene... tranquil & peaceful. Ive had 3 massages so far and they have been AMAZING!! So wonderful to have this in Abilene and they have done a fabulous job of training their staff. I highly recommend!

We recieved a 60 minute couples massage for Christmas from our children. When I called to book us a time the wonderful young lady that answered the phone could not have been better at her job, more helpful, knowledgeable and polite.

As expected, prices are pretty high and it takes time to find the right fit for which person you like. Then its hard to get the day and time you want without biking months in advance.

Tasha was a miracle worker! I went in with severe lower back pain and sciatica. I walked out pain free and relaxed.

Been a few times and got the membership worth it going at least once a month. Everyone is a little different but havent left feeling better.

They advertise couple messages on the website and they even says same room but when i called to ask for pricing they said they do couples messages but not in the same room.
