Bar was clean! A door attendant checked your id to ensure you’re legal to drink etc l.Great music in the background while we enjoyed your drink and chatted with the patrons who were friendly. The drink was cheaper than I expected so that a plus to return. Overall was a great experience visiting my first gay bar I Albuquerque and will return!

Kind of ridiculous to charge a cover fee when the owners cant even pay their employees an hourly wage. Sorry theres social club down the street with a one time membership fee and only charge a cover on occasion. The owners of sidewinders are greedy and charge at every opportunity.

Just moved here. I feel like this bar was very underrated by locals, decent prices and friendly people. We come often now for drinks and gear night. There are many rooms like the dancing floor and karaoke room, they turn the karaoke room into The ABQ Eagle which is very nice. Their restrooms are also very large and decently clean for it being a busy bar. They also have a leather store open on the weekends here, items are made locally. Very cool bar.

Love the staff, the owners, the patrons and the drag shows!!! I always have a great time.

I enjoyed it very much. Nice atmosphere, good size outdoor patio and the drag show room was a lot of fun.I had no issues with any staff and they were all so friendly and energy. Drinks were great and great prices.I’m visiting from California and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting ABQ.

Bartenders are drinking and very rude. Not a great intro to abq in the gay scene. Avoid the drama they are trying to create from nothing. I club often and this was crazy behavior from the staff. Like I think they may be drinking or on drugs. It was nuts! 🤣🤣🤣🤣never before have I been escorted out of any establishment. Wow!!!! ✌️

Having relocated to New Mexico not so long ago, a few weeks back I stopped in on a Friday night which was my first gay bar experience here in Albuquerque. I sat at a table in the corner by myself and it was mostly an older crowd and they seriously all seemed to know each other. Everybody was laughing and having a good time. One of the 2 bartenders acted as my waiter and I ordered the fish and chips platter and a Stella Artois. The fish and chips tasted great and Im not sure why, but their tartar sauce just seemed amazing. It had a certain tang to it. The place felt totally like a dive bar but my meal was delicious. However, the bartender/waiter never checked in on me after dropping off my meal and I didnt see him again until I walked up to the bar so I could pay my bill. The place wasnt that busy and the two bartenders were mostly just standing around talking with each other. My meal was great but having worked as a front of house service manager for many years, I know that dropping off food and then never checking in on me and me having to go to the bar to get my check is just really poor service. He was friendly and affable, though. Also, the fish and chips said one price on the menu but on my actual check it was a few dollars more. I really enjoyed my food but you absolutely have to as a business owner make sure the prices listed are congruent to the final bill pricing. Another small thing, they have a long bar but there are zero chairs or bar stools to sit at the bar. Im not sure why that is, but maybe they have their reasons. Overall, I would return but would probably bring a friend to keep me company so as to not feel like the odd man out in a place where everybody seems to have known each other for years and years. Also, I wonder if they would sell me a bottle of just their tartar sauce. Pure tangy awesomeness.

Very rude bar tender on the date of June 3 at 2:43 pm I’m not sure of his name chose to ignore us seen us walk in and sat down upon seeing finally stands up walks outside very rude young man and very bleak atmosphere as well would not recommend for first timers who came into have a nice drink. Service was so bad I couldn’t even order a drink due to the bartender choosing to ignore us while we stood there.

Ive been coming here for almost 10 years. The atmosphere is always friendly and the service consistently goes above and beyond. Since moving to their new location, they have branched out into food and let me tell you! Every item Ive eaten gives that home-cooked goodness without exorbitant prices. My recommendation, stop by for a drink, one of their many productions or just a bite to eat. You will not be sorry!

Food was disgusting; not authentic Filipino food, tasted fridge-like, days old. Fun environment. Server didnt approach us at our table during the day. Had to approach the bartender to place the order. When serviced, workers were overall kind and welcoming.

Sidewinder was great. My bi,exabitionist wife met a girl within minutes after we got there. I met a cd in the mens room. After visiting we sat together and watched people dance. My wife left for about a hour with her new friend. We wanted to go again but were told its no longer open

So it is now 6 pm, not a large crowd. There are 4 tables on the patio that have customers. I would hate to see how this waiter would actually do in a place that was busy. For the record not all the tables were eating. The waiter comes on the patio only if he has a mission and never looks anywhere (to any other tables) than the one he is going to. In the two hours I have been here, he came to my table on his own twice. He had to be called over for anything else. He would have a bad time at Denny’s where you have enough tables to keep you busy. They need new wait staff or he need to rethink how he does his service. HOLD THE PHONE. To be fair to him, ALL THE TABLES on the inside are full of customers. So, it’s not him. Their should be more wait staff. That is a MANAGEMENT ISSUE. To the server I apologize. However checking on your customers holds true.

Love the owners for their active efforts in the community. They have consistenly surprised and awed crowds for fun shows and incredible fundraisers to benefit the local community. Having participated in several drag shows for fundraisers i can say personally, this venue and restaurant brings nothing less than phenomenal love and care to the LGBTQ+ community. The best part is the food is traditional recipe Phillipino/American flavor. As New Mexicos Premier Mens Rugby Sports club, the New Mexico Brujos Rugby Football Club formally thank Sidewinders Ranch for all they do.

An albuquerque institution, and one of its final true “LGBTQIA” friendly establishments here in the southwest, “Sides” is locally owned by two wonderful men whose philanthropic work throughout our community have made them both integral to our cities character and spirit! What would we do without Renee and Michael??Sometimes folks go to a bar like Sides with expectations that aren’t fair, then they leave nasty comments and reviews; please know that their hurt does not adequately represent what you will experience if you visit... sides is a great place, I have a great time when I go there, and I adore the gentlemen that own this place.The customers are sexy, and the folks that work there are hotties too!

VERY nice place to meet people. They have live performances on Thursday night. I had a good time because I dont sing very well but I thought I could get up there and do a song but I didnt put my name in.

The owners are dolls. They are great for support. Give equal opportunity for talent shows. Host outrageous nights. Yeah its not a club but its better than just a bar. This is my favorite place to frequent when I am in the area!

New kitchen staff, menu AND daily specials!I had the green chile beef and cheese enchilada special tonight.$8.95- great value. Thankfully they have reduced their five page Cheesecake Factory menu and now focusing on a smaller more manageable menu.

Havent been here in a few years due to bad service, thought I would check it out since I had a free night. If anything has changed its for the worse, paid $10 to go into an empty bar, then waited ten minutes for one of the 3 people behind the bar to acknowledge me. After I finally got a beer, the bartender tried to take my change, thinking it was a tip. I was around when this place was packed 24/7, bartenders were hot and friendly. Sadly, not the same place. Dont waste your time or money, Its not worth it.

This place is great! I come here every Tuesday and I absolutely enjoy it! The bartender is amazingly sweet and he makes the best drinks! Definitely deserves the 5-star rating I gave it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hello, been there for ladies night so they call it went to meet a couple of friends for drinks the crowd there as become so much different...the drag queens in this bar are not like the ones in good old days? what happened? why are people so negative towards one another here? and all it has turned into is a sex club...i dont think this is the road to go down anymore i am sorry...i was interested in becoming a new manager but with the building and the crowd i am now no longer interested i wish you all the best.

Definitely an interesting bar, with interesting entertainment. Had some good laughs. Good drinks, and affordable. Overall a good experience. A little hard as a new person to get drinks, kinda wait a long time. Other then that it was a good time.

This place was the first bar I ever went to, when I got to Albuquerque. I wasnt sure what to expect, but everyone there waa so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was fun, and exciting, without the crowded feeling of most bars.

This is a fun and diverse establishment serving those in East Albuquerque. One day, you can be attending a burlesque-type show, the next it becomes the city country western bar, the the day after that it could drag entertainers putting on fun shows, Leathermen in gear at their inner side bar known as the ‘Albuquerque Eagle’ or a host of other things. The owners are known for doing a lot of fundraising and community involvement so I definitely recommend checking it out!

Great new location. Great staff, and great prices for Nob Hill. The outdoor patio is great to sit and chat with friends, grabbing a bite to eat, or having something refreshing to drink.

Just a fun place, friendly bartenders and good selection of drinks. My brothers band played last night for the 25th anniversary, it rocked. Great place to people watch! ;)

A large night club with pool tables the dance floor area and stage are very large with great line of sight elevated seating. I cant add the last star because I havent seen a show there yet.

Awesome and inclusive place to hang out, and the owners do SO much for local charities. Amazing community involvement, and always something different going on! I love this place !

First drink was weak. Next couple were right on par. Enjoyed the bartenders! Great quick service. Thanks for such a good safe night!

I love the laid back atmosphere and it doesnt hurt that the bartenders are cute! I like that I can have a conversation with my friends here without having to scream over the music.

Havent been by for food yet, but I have enjoyed every visit. Relaxed atmosphere and never felt out of place.

Now Im here for work and decided to check out the gay scene .... So far nothing but OLDER CROWD ... Im in my 40s but they are higher up 🤣🤣🤣 ... Lets see how this night goes hope there is a drag show or something.

Fun friendly atmosphere, great drink specials, FABULOUS shows!! this place holds its own in the community...a few bad apples but we dont fall far from the tree ;-)

Bartender not friendly to strangers. Sad because this is a gay bar. Maybe friendly to the bar files. Not to me. Tuesday night looks like its on life support.

Nice and quiet if the weather is a bit less than perfect, friendly, but a bit on the older side for the locals, best to swing by on a special night (holiday, gear night, or event)
