Ive gone to A Touch of Serenity for a little over a year. Its a fantastic place that I highly recommend. The therapists that Ive been to - Karl and Naomi - are consistently nice, knowledgeable, and adapt to my preferences. Its very easy to make appointments and the owner has always quickly followed up to any questions that Ive sent via email. The space is clean and serene and my appointments always start on time. If youre looking to receive a great massage at a very reasonable price, go here!

Had a facial with Kita today and what a pleasure. I appreciate her taking the time to explain her steps and asking about my preferences. We had a chat about my current skin care process and things for me to consider. We also discussed other services that the establishment offers. Im really glad Ive found a place that keeps service high on their list of priorities!

Erika is phenomenal! It was truly one of the best massages I’ve ever had (and I get a lot). It was relaxing but meaningful. I feel calm, knot free and ready for the next one. I look forward to booking another massage with Erika.

I had a facial with Kita and it was fantastic! She is an incredible esthetician, so gentle and thorough. The products she used felt luxurious, the smells and music were beautiful, and the whole experience so relaxing. I walked out with skin glowing and totally zenned out. The spa is decorated perfectly. I love this place.

I got a Brazilian wax from Kita and it was a great experience! She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and explained the process to me. She was very considerate about the wax temp and bracing me for when she pulls the wax strip. It was a quick process and the results are perfect! I’m very pleased with how it turned out! I would recommend her to anyone! Very professional and the salon was calming and clean!

Enjoyed a lovely facial from Kita! Kita was delicate with all the steps and process! The facial felt amazing during and after, face feels so clean :)The location is super relaxing and cozy! Will come back again.

Erika has healing hands! One of the best massages Ive ever gotten. I chose to try the 60 min + Reiki and it was really really relaxing. The spa also has all these cute little touches that make it a special place. Ill be back

Tim was amazing! Came in with some lower back pain which I had for a month. I was actually looking at doctors to see if I had a pinched nerve or something serious. Got a deep tissue massage and with his expertise of a few special stretches too - woke up the next day completely pain free! A true treatment - amazing what can be done with one massage. Will definitely be coming back!

This was my very first (professional) message ever! I came so close to canceling because I was so nervous. Thanks to my co-worker who had recommended me to go, helped ease my nerves by telling me how the whole process works and what to expect. Earl was AMAZING! Everything about the message was amazing. A Touch of Serenity has incredibly competitive prices and packages for each massage type. The office has an incredibly tranquil vibe and I plan to be a regular customer here after my first 2 sessions. Ligia does an outstanding full-body deep tissue. My body has felt much relief throughout my day to day. Thank you to the entire staff for being friendly and courteous. Noel is incredibly hospitable, and I plan to support her business further!

Another great experience at this establishment! I did an after work evening massage with Rachel and it was everything that I needed! The room was very comfortable and she was very intentional about ensuring that I was comfortable during my visit. I just left a 60 min Swedish massage with Karl and I cannot wait to go back. He used just the right amount of pressure and wasn’t overly chatty (which I prefer). I’ve never had a male masseuse before and I felt completely comfortable with him. I left feeling so relaxed and the time just flew by. The studio itself is warm and inviting. There are lots of small touches (extra hair ties and feminine products in the bathroom and a ring dish and phone chargers in the massage room) that are so thoughtful and you can tell the space was designed with clients in mind. I highly recommend both the massage studio itself and Karl. I’ll be back soon!

Karl was great! He was able to give firm pressure and release a lot of tension without it being really painful, which has been my main issue in the past during massages. He had a good level of communication and was very skilled.The atmosphere was wonderful, very calm and inviting. All the staff were attentive and kind, I would highly recommend this place!!

Ive been getting massages here for 4 years now and I absolutely love Noel! I started going to her for prenatal massages in 2019 and have continuously gone to her every month since! Noel is amazing, kind, and a fantastic massage therapist! Ive also gone to Jaymie who is amazing! Every time Ive been, Ive had a great experience and came out feeling better and relaxed. A Touch of Serenity is a lovely hidden gem in the Franconia area of Alexandria, and I was so happy to discover it! Noel, the owner, has done a wonderful job of creating a warm, inviting, and peaceful atmosphere from the moment you enter the door. On a past visit I booked a 2 hour deep tissue massage with a new therapist, Kim, and returned for another session! She was fantastic, as is Noel. I now see Tim once a month for a 90 minute Deep Tissue massage and cant say enough good things! I love supporting local small businesses, and A Touch of Serenity is top of my list for self care! And really love the new space!!

Every part of getting a massage here was good. Scheduling online was easy and the price was very affordable. The moment you walk through the door you feel at ease. Erica gave me a WONDERFUL massage and created such a pleasant, relaxing environment. She made sure she knew which areas I wanted to focus on and helped me choose the perfect aromatherapy. Ill definitely be going back and highly recommend it to friends and family!

Naomi, Ligia and Earl always get me right. Of course everyone has their own techniques but the result is the same. I feel brand new after leaving. The massage parlor is very clean - ALL THE TIME - and the atmosphere feels welcoming. I love this place and will continue getting services as long as I’m in the area.

This week I had a massage at A Touch of Serenity for the 1st time. It was an easy convenient location for me with plenty of parking. I liked the ambience of the waiting room and the massage room. My 60-minute Swedish Massage by Karl was great! Ive already booked my next massage!

Karl H. is one of the best! ⭐️I had the pleasure of seeing him 2x. Most recently, I had severely limited mobility (acute case of lumbago). I was able to stand upright again with minimal pain post therapy.He is a gem and good at what he does. Both times, I never felt rushed.Facility is super cute and relaxing 😌

I love this practice! I’ve seen Naomi and Jaymie. Both are amazing, and I am also a wellness plan member which has been wonderful. The online scheduling is so easy and there’s plenty of availability. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I can’t believe I’ve lived in the area for so long and am only just now discovering them!

I’ve had two massages at A Touch of Serenity. The first was a couples massage/prenatal and my massage today was a Swedish massage with Karl H. Both were great. Karl was fantastic and communicated when needed. I needed a postpartum massage and it was perfect to get out those new mom aches and pains. I love that they don’t try to upsell you but you can see your options. I also love how prompt they are and how they have thought of many details like tipping options, mouth wash, etc. Highly recommend!

Everything! The cleanliness, the hospitality, the people who work there, the location, the hours… I could go on for forever! Noel and her team are truly so helpful in making sure my body is just as taken care of as my mind. I also can tell when my appointment is coming up because my body is much more tense and then as soon as I leave my appointment, it is just a reset overall.

I have been going to A Touch of Serenity for at least 8 years. The owner is phenomenal. I adore her. She truly cares about her clients and treats them like gold.I have had to flake on more than one occasion because of my job. She never ever judges me or even penalizes me provided I give her at least 24 hours notice.She knows I like to get a massage on my birthday so she will let me know when she has availability if I’ve forgotten it’s coming up.I cannot stress how pleased I am the way this business has grown and blossomed. It is currently the most beautiful interior I have ever encountered at a massage place.The bathroom (weird, I know) is always a reminder of how thoughtful she is. There are hair ties, tampons, body sprays, mouthwash, etc. I can’t even remember all the goodies she provides us.Most recently, she put phone chargers (yes, for all phone types!) in each room saying to plug your phone in to charge while you get your massage to recharge. This is so sweet and clever and absolutely not something you would expect from a spa.

This place is incredible!! I can’t say enough how much A Touch of Serenity is a complete gem. It’s so hard to find a place with both good customer service and quality therapists but this place has it all! Stellar on all fronts. I left feeling the most relaxed I’d felt in months. All the therapists are so attentive and make sure I am getting the exact service I need. Trust me when I say I never write reviews but I had to show them some love. Five starts all the way, HIGHLY recommend, especially for their prices!

Touch of Serenity shows professionalism, a warm welcoming and very caring therapists. My husband and I visited yesterday for couples massage and this was our first time at this establishment. We had the pleasure of working with Tim and Viviane. Tim worked on my husband as he requires deep tissue and pain management which Tim is specialized in and more!! Tim has a very personable personality and very down to earth! He and my husband bonded very well and Tim showed alot concern with my husbands pain and addressed it immediately and plans on continuing to help him when we return for a next session. Thank you Tim!! I had the pleasure of working with Viviane. She worked on areas where she focused on that I was most concerned about and I must say, Viviane has hands like an angel!!! She was very sweet and kind and always checked on me during our session. She took her time and made sure by the end of.our session, I felt better than I was before.. My wax service with Kita was the best Ive experienced. She made the experience as painless as possible. Kita was professional and knowledgeable about before/after wax care. My past experience, my skin would be left red or irritated, but Kita made sure the wax temperature was perfect and the quality of the wax itself was perfect. She was fast and efficient. She did not make me feel anxious and took care of my wants and needs for both my hair and mind. I highly recommend.FYI - I got a full Brazilian, my lower back and underarm done.

A Touch of Serenity is by far the best massage studio in the area. The facility is well equipped and has a calming atmosphere. Ive gotten massages from a couple different masseuses and they have all been great. Im always tense and sore when I go in and they do a wonderful job of working out the kinks.My favorite masseuse is Karl. He has a knack for figuring out which areas need the most work and hes pleasant to work with but not a talker during the massage which is nice. I find that the pressure he uses for the massage is perfect- not too deep or light.I do want to give a shout out for Touch of Serenitys membership program. You get discounted massages for committing to having at least one massage a month for a certain length of time. It makes the massages really affordable.

My girlfriend had Jamie, superb service. Her ability to target all desired areas was exceptional. Highly Recommends her. I had Ligia and she was excellent. Service was exceptional, her ability to target every muscle in my upper back was exceptional and her neck/face massage was unmatched. Highly recommend her if that’s what you are looking for.

I feel so fortunate to have found this place. Its always difficult to find a match with a practitioner no matter what kind of health care one is receiving. After doing a little bit of research, and reading the profiles of each massage therapist, I decided to book a deep tissue massage with Karl because I felt his that his techniques would align more with my needs.I have been receiving massages for many years and I sincerely can say that this is one of the best massages Ive had. Karl not only listened to my needs but found deep knots I didnt know that I had that desperately needed to be worked out. Im a small person, and in the past Ive had massage therapists that are afraid of applying pressure -- not with Karl! He is amazing! In addition, his room is very clean, warm, quiet and cozy. I havent felt this relaxed in so many years. Total sensory deprivation. Another reviewer mentioned that he doesnt chat throughout the massage which made it even more relaxing for me -- what a bonus!I will be booking again very soon. Thank you Karl! :)

My first ever massage was in Dec 2020 and recommended by my doctor due to some neck and shoulder pain. I found A Touch of Serenity online and thought i would give it a try due to great reviews and proximity to my house. Wow! Really glad I did. I visited A Touch of Serenity for the first time a few days ago and what a fitting name! Tim met me at the door and put me at ease immediately. He has magical hands! I swear I was almost asleep. I was so relaxed and yes serene. I left feeling light and pain free. I’ve not had the tension headache and neck pain I’ve suffered from for the past year since the massage and I’ve been sleeping more soundly. The young lady who scheduled my appointment went above and beyond in getting me in at the last minute. This business is the real deal when it comes to caring about your well being. Thank you for your wonderful service to the community! If I could give Noel 100 stars I would! I had a massage with Earl a couple of weeks ago and it was so very relaxing that my eyes actually watered. I’ve read that’s a response from tension release in my trapezius muscles where I carry most of my stress. Earl is very respectful and has a calming personality. I just can’t say enough good things about this business.

Now, Im going to say the same things that others have been saying for years... a serene atmosphere, wonderful communication before and during the appointment, amazingly talented therapists, etc. That consistency in reviews IS the point, though. Noel hasnt simply focused on temporary efforts to bring in a few more clients. This is simply how Noel runs her business and team... you can expect an incredible experience whether you are reading this review today, or in five years, or in ten years.Details. Do you notice little things around you? Youll appreciate Noels thoughtfulness. I seem to perpetually overbook my life and always arrive in a bit of a hurry (think Kramer entering Jerrys apartment). A Touch of Serenity slows me down, re-centers me, and brings much needed relaxation crucial to my mental health. I love the little notes that Noel has placed around the business that simply remind me to take a breath and a moment to chill!The other big point I want to talk about is the atmosphere. Ive frequented massage therapists in many parts of the country when living in or visiting those places. Of course we all have different expectations, but I often feel that some places feel too clinical, and in some others I feel like Im intruding on someones clique. From my first visit to AToS, I have felt nothing but a sense of welcoming comfort, equality, and humility. I APPRECIATE THIS SO MUCH.Perhaps its easy to be humble when you know you have a team of professionals who all excel?Ive had the pleasure of sessions with roughly half of the team and all have been superb... as every other reviewer has noted. After being massaged hundreds of times, I can’t say enough great things about Jaymie at Touch of Serenity. I’ve received Thai on the Table and Deep Tissue massages from her. She knows how to work on my trouble areas effectively, communicates well, and is just an all-around lovely person.If you are considering getting a massage for the first time or are a seasoned massage-recipient looking for a new masseuse, I highly recommend Jaymie.

Totally Awesome!I was given a gift card from my daughter to get a massage and I was totally blown away. The place is lovely and Tim was the absolute best. Omg I haven’t had a massage like this before and I will be returning soon........So I’m providing an update. Since my experience at a Touch of Serenity was so amazing I sent my hubby, my mom and my daughter to get massages and they Loved it!!!! We can’t stop talking about how awesome or visits were. Tim is hands down the best, he knows what he is doing and puts you at ease. I have a couple more people I plan to gift with massage experiences and I plan to get another real soon. If it’s your first time getting a massage don’t put it off any longer, just do it!!!!!

I can’t say enough about Noel and the business she has created. I have been going to her for years now and oftentimes, because of lower back pain, have gone into her hunched over and without fail she has helped me. She takes time to thoroughly understand her clients’ medical history and goals so that your massage experience is not only a remarkable one, but also safe and effective. Whether it’s for targeted massage or overall relaxation, I recommend her without hesitation! She is super professional, knowledgeable and I’ve gotten to know her as well and can say, an incredible person. I have watched her grow her business from just herself to multiple therapists now. I have also had the opportunity to get a massage from them and I can say without a doubt, she has surrounded herself with other therapists with the same professionalism and standards as herself. Her space is also very relaxing, warm, inviting and has great positive energy. The highest recommendation for a first-class spa and therapists!!

I highly recommend A Touch of Serenity! If you are stressed, need a little self-care---treat yourself! You wont regret it. I have actually tried all of the therapists here but Karl and Noel are my favorite :) They are all professional and take great pride in making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I got a 60 minute Swedish massage with Karl. Best massage Ive ever had and its not even close. I find that in general I either leave a massage feeling relaxed OR like it actually did something. With this one, it was both. Somehow he simultaneously put me to sleep while loosening knots I didnt even know I had. Maybe its placebo, but I feel like I left not just feeling better but looking better. Other pros: he used just the right amount of oil and wasnt too chatty. He asked my preferences but otherwise didnt try to make small talk. They didnt try to upsell me. Its a beautiful spot with thoughtful touches, and its woman- and POC-owned. I joked going into the massage that I needed it to fix my whole life.... and I left thinking it honestly might have. Is next weekend too soon for another?

I kind of hate to leave a review because it means more more people finding this wonderful gem, but that seems so unfair to Noel and her amazing team so here we go. I had been looking for a new massage therapist, not wanting to deal with some of the larger places - I wanted a personal experience, with someone who really knew what they were doing, in a peaceful environment. Jackpot. Noel is simply incredible. She has done amazing work on me and the studio is simple, yet welcoming, calming, and respite in the midst of life. I highly recommend A Touch of Serenity, and Noel in particular.

I have been getting (bi-weekly) massages here for almost a year now and LOVE it! The place is so clean and calming. Tim’s deep tissue massage is just amazingly therapeutic—he is so intuitive and knows just what my muscles need to get me back on track (ask for the scalp massage...trust me!!!). Noel and her whole team will make you feel like old friends with their quick communication and welcoming personalities—I truly LOVE this place and can’t recommend it enough!

I have been going here since 2021 or 2022 as a recommendation from my former masseuse, Stephanie (whos in Reston area) and I have not been disappointed. They have worked around my schedule when things happened and an injury so that I can still get a massage.

I regularly see both Noel and Kim. Both are excellent— and I am continually impressed with how strong they are! I have a lot of neck and back tension, and get lasting relief after each session. I really appreciate how they remember by areas with issues and customize their approaches to my likes and dislikes!They are taking every precaution to make sure it’s safe to get a massage in the era of the Coronavirus. I feel very safe there and go about every three weeks. It doesn’t bother me at all to get a massage with a mask on. It was weird at first, but I totally forget it’s even on now.Can’t recommend them enough!

Earl is a top-notch professional, made me feel comfortable and greatly helped my back. I kept thinking - I need to tell my friends about this place, and Earl!I plan to book my next session soon. I must say I had a very pleasant experience at A Touch of Serenity. Before arrival I took a COVID-19 screening which I thought was very unique. When I first walked in I was asked to wash my hands and then they took my temperature. After that I was led to a nice, relaxing room where I received the most relaxing massage I’ve ever received. It was so relaxing I asked if I could take the masseuse home with me(lol). Noel is wonderful! Such a sweet and calming presence. Im always anxious when it comes to trying new providers in this vein, but she made my first visit so easy and relaxing. You often have to book rather far in advance (hence the lost star), but its oh so worth it for the quality experience, comfortable and clean facility, and abundance of free parking! Great member perks and super easy gifting process as well.

Ive been going to ToS since the owner Noel was working by herself. Its been wonderful to see her business grow and hire new staff. I was a little nervous to try someone else but trusted that Noel vetted everyone (plus she became so busy it was hard to get an appointment!) Im so glad I got an appointment with Kim because she is fantastic. Its no wonder she graduated top of her class. Shes professional and attentive and adapts to my requests at every session. Her style is relaxing but firm. I often doze off and wake up to feel stretched, less tense, and energized. I dont know how she does all 3 things in an hour, but its great.Now more than ever we all need to make our physical and mental health a priority. Take advantage of their first time special and packages. You wont regret it!

I’m glad TOS offers weekend appointments so I can make visiting a once a month routine. Karl is very personable and professional. If you have knots he will find them! But he makes sure you walk out feeling better than you walked in. I’ve been going to Karl for almost a year and I’ll continue to go see Karl. It means a lot for me to support businesses owned by POC and women. Noel reaches out and keeps customers informed of new appointments and updates. So even though their location is a drive for me. It’s always worth it!

Had high hopes based on the reviews but didnt love my experience. I told my therapist about trouble areas I wanted him to work on and he didnt spend any additional time working on those areas not was a do tissue, which I booked. It was a simple relaxation massage. I also didnt feel entirely comfortable only being draped with a single white sheet. In every place Ive been in the past, there are always layers to adjust for the temperature and more comfort and privacy.

We come here monthly for massages. The new space is inviting, relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. We have had several masseuses and they have all been excellent. Owners pricing and packages are fair. It’s easy to book online and we enjoy the experience and massages. 10/10 if you’re looking for a massage place you found it.

Noel, Tim and Earl are great massage therapists. Ive had sessions with all of them and its difficult to pick who I want to see on my next appointment because they are all consistent, professional and leave me feeling relaxed and ready to take on the world after my massages. Im happy to see this cozy, relaxing place do well. They deserve and they earned all the kudos they get.

Noel is by far the best massage therapist I have found, and I have been addicted to massage for many years. She is completely in tune with what her clients need and no matter how many times youve seen her she is always thorough with her initial intake to make sure she addresses the right issues. I have severe tension issues and trust her to always apply the right amount of pressure each time. I always leave feeling 200% better than when I came in!! I cannot recommend Noel highly enough.

I just had a 60-min deep tissue with Kim. OMG! What a great massage! She is a very skilled therapist who is kind and gentle but if you want deep, she gives you deep. The space is relaxing and serene. This is massage therapy done right.

I love going to A Touch of Serenity!!! I have been seeing the therapist Kim, she is professional and thorough. When she finishes the massage, Ifeel energized, refreshed, and lighter. From sitting at a computer most of the day, my shoulders and back can get pretty tight, Kims magic hands works out all of the knots and tender spots. I highly recommend A Touch of Serenity and let Kim melt your tension away.

This is my haven. Close to home with exceptional service. Kim is a wonderful spirit and masseuse. I prefer deep tissue and Kim is tiny but mighty. I think they set the bar high so you cant go wrong booking with anyone

Ive been here probably 5 times over the last year and I love it! Knowledgeable therapists, relaxing environs and great customer service. You can sign up for sessions online so its very easy to plan when to use your massages. They often have great sales too so its very reasonable.

This was one of the very best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had. Kim was PHENOMENAL. She really listened to what I said about which areas of my body were tight or sore, and she focused in on those areas. I felt fantastic afterward. Would recommend to anyone!

I booked a massage with Earl after one of my friends raved about Earl on her Facebook post, and I was NOT disappointed. Earl was booked, but the owner took my number and actually reached out to me when he had a last-minute cancellation (most places forget/lose your information). The location is in a safe area with plentiful parking, and the spa itself is clean and relaxing. Ive finally found my go-to spa!

I love this place. I always come out of there feeling relaxed and recharged.  The atmosphere is very quaint and low key; and is well maintained.  The therapists are all very skilled and listen to your requests.  All my experiences have been great and thats  why Ive been a client for numerous years now.  Another plus is that their rates are very reasonable, especially the packages.  I highly recommend his place!
