OYO Hotel Alexandria LA- Hwy 165

The room was big and had plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure is fantastic! The negative is that I booked and paid online. When I got here, there were only smoking rooms available. The lady said she found a non-smoking room, but she was mistaken, the room stinks of ashtray, Awful! Great price, but the room stinks. If she cant move me for tomorrow, Im staying somewhere else. Because of the smell, I give this place:2-Stars.

The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful. I felt safe at the location. I have stayed here several times and have never had issues. My rating is for locations similar in price.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to get a room here. I was kicked out all because I asked why I was charged $65 this Friday whenever I wasnt charged that last Friday or Saturday. He got angry and threw my money back at me and said that we talked about it yesterday in which we did not. Yesterday I was transferred into another room because I was in 115 and they said it needed to be maintained. I was switched to room 124 and I had a smaller bed,no chairs for more money. I asked him for the number to corporate after he said I had to leave and he refused to give it to me as well as his name.If anyone has the number for oyo corporate I would appreciate it.

I made a reservation for myself and my partner. I called the hotel two days prior to the reservation to add my partners name. The hotel said he was good to go. Day of arrival, they would not let him check in as he arrived before me. Had to jump through hoops to get him added.Room itself was decent. Comforter had cigarette burns in it and looked dirty from ashes but overall fairly clean. I guess I really couldnt ask for much more from a $35 room so overall satisfied with my stay

Got a room here for me and my babies for one night and the room was not clean sheets towels and tub was dirty pillowcases and all I see why the rooms are so cheap its because the things you get in the room is not up to paw. Also never received my refund back for that matter.

Got charged 2x, car got dented in parking lot, dirty, used condoms in dresser drawers.But hey, no bed bugs.

I called to check availability and the desk clerk hung up in my face when I was mid sententce saying I was booking on my phone app. I noticed a lot of the women in Alexandria LA are rude by nature. Maybe its something in the water.

I have been traveling for six weeks and pulled in to the Oyo hotel today .I had the pleasure of meeting Lauria at the front desk. She couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. She let me look at the room before I purchased it and then got me checked in ASAP. I had the pleasure of talking with her for 10 minutes and she was just a super person. I have been in the customer service field for close to 40 years and know what good customer service is like and I’ll tell you she’s got it. She’s a keeper. Thanks Lori for bringing a little sunshine into my day today.Chris

The owner is very kind but the front desk clerk was extremely rude and judgmental . She Complained that we were disturbing her trying to eat when we needed assistance. The rooms were filthy and there was a used condom on the floor and roaches by the bed, Urine on the seat, room was very hot due to a crack in the window, and also the male housekeeper Is Very rude and asked me for cigarettes also tried to push my door open while i was dressing ! Horrible place !

The mattress was old, caved in and broke and front desk got an attitude WITH ME once I told them. Not like they didnt know because you can look at it and tell it should be thrown out not booked to paying customers. Their reply was NO REFUNDS AND NO VACANCY. I lost $150 and had to find another hotel. Stay away from this place if you have any other choice. The staff is beyond rude and the rooms other than the broken bed had blood stains on the sheets and pillow cases, the bathroom door didnt close and most importantly NO DEADBOLT LOCK. I have small kids and all they had to do was just turn the door knob. Not a secure location. Id be homeless before I ever return to this place. Youve been warned.

They don’t deserve 1 star, do not waist your money or time here!!! I booked, paid for room and was not issued a refund. Front desk staff harassed me off of property as you can see this no luxury hotel…. And threaten to call the police as if I committed a crime. When theft and crime reports are made and police are called by guest they refuse service to police. Staff are unprofessional and become hostile after you ask for a refund. Rooms are filthy and overpriced with a disturbing drug environment. Better luck at motel 6!

The nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. First room given still hadn’t been cleaned. Got another room and it was filthy. Dirt and hair on the sheets, pubic hair on the toilet, hair on the towels along with stains, extremely hot, stinky, just FILTHY. I don’t see how they pass any type of inspection. Just hoping we don’t get bedbugs at this point. Do not stay here!

The window in the bathroom next to the showers doesn’t lock. Someone could easily come into my room if they wanted to. Not safe at all.

The only good thing in my experience with this raggedy hotel is the front desk lady she was nice! Other than that, the whole experience was literally a nightmare. Very stinky room, sheets, pillows everything. Creepy people, someone knocked at my door at 3 am asking weird questions, very loud neighbors, everything about this hotel is gross 🤮

I don’t ever write negative reviews but this hotel was unacceptable. It should honestly be shut down! There was blood on the curtains. Blood, hair and dirt on the sheets. Dirt in the tub. The room smelt like mildew. The towels were stiff and stained. The chair in the room had dirty marks all over it. It was a very bad crowd of people staying there and it definitely seemed like drugs were involved. I refused to stay the night and went to the front to check out immediately. The only positive thing I have to say is they did give me a refund.

This hotel was dirty to say the least. We found a shoe in our room, a sock and ashes in a drawer. Also found a soft drink in the mini fridge and a few fries in the microwave. The bathroom light switch gave us problems. There were ashes on the counter be the lavatory. Took a few hours to get a roll of towel paper. The parking lot needed repairs. There was no coffee pot or hair dryer in the rooms. The lobby was not accessible. There were holes in the bedding. It is a dump. I would not give this place any stars. But couldn’t post this review without stars. I have none but I would not recommend these hotels to an enemy. It should be condemned. We were evacuees from Hurricane Ida and had no other choice.

I wont stay in this hotel anymore. You arent told about 100.00 deposit until you get there. When you check out early you dont get a refund on days not staying. Management lies about returning your deposit at end of stay on same day checkout. Room had no working appliances except television, water was brown until you run it for 24 hours. Room smell like mold and neighbors are rowdy, but will complain if you make noises. Only the housekeepers seem half decent.

This place was no where near the 4 or 5 stars it said. The room is rundown and its obvious this was bought and rebranded as a cheap way to improve it. The service wasnt too bad and the only insect issue I found was a single roach on our second night. The wifi didnt work at all, the cable was lackluster and 90% of the channels were locked by DirecTV. If you need a cheap hotel, youre much better off going to the Americas Best Value Inn right next door.

The room was really clean and smelled fresh when I walked in. I booked the room earlier that day online and let them know I was going to arrive after midnight so they turned the ac unit on and the room was perfectly chilled when I walked in from the Louisiana heat.

I booked the room in an emergency for my wife and 2 year old son. She said the room was great and the staff was wonderful, but that was the end if anything positive. Its a crime den, and filled with drug users and shady tenants. Someone attempted to kidnap our child while she was taking him for a walk and neither the police nor the managers did anything an he was still staying there, one floor below my wife with no repercussions. Absolutely disgusting 😤

I got ate up .Ive got bites all over. Sheets were all wrinkled up. Pillows were all wrinkled.So I got my self a blanket and pillow case and slept on top of the bed.Very loud and noisy.. The bath looked dirty so I couldnt even take a bath.And the pool was dirty and closed. I wouldnt have stayed here if Id known this place was so bad hot and no pool.Sorry I ever booked here.Thanks for deceiving customers with nice picture online.

I would give it a minus star. When we got there the lights in the room didn’t work. One lamp didn’t have a light bulb the other wouldn’t stay on because the outlet it was plugged into was so loose, I had to push the bed against it to keep it on. I went to the front desk to get a light bulb. How can they clean the room without light. The neighbors were noisy playing loud music but quoted down about 10 PM then started up again about 3 AM. I didn’t want to confront them myself but the phone in the room didn’t work so I couldn’t call the front desk. I called the OYO numbers that was supposed to connect with the desk but it said they weren’t available. I then got a message repeating that I was first in line to talk to someone. That went on for about 5 minutes and I hung up and decided to check out. When I went to take a shower the tub was slippery with no mat and I slipped and fell in the shower, my back is still hurting from that 4 weeks later. When I checked out the person just said no one else had complained. I called OYO later that morning and talked to someone and he said someone would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours and I got an email acknowledging my call. After 3 weeks and no response I clicked on the link on that email and put in the number but it said no claim was registered for that number. I complained to Hotels dot com and got a message from them that I should call OYO and another message from Hotels dot com that OYO wouldn’t give a refund. I should also mention that the person who checked me in said he would put me upstairs so I wouldn’t be bothered by someone dancing over my head, I thought he was joking but I guess he wasn’t. Also the swimming pool hadn’t been taken care of at all it was very green. I am going to call them again but I would highly recommend to avoid this place at all costs.

One star is too much. This place is a filthy crack den, sketchy people around, not wheelchair accessible, toilet seat falling off, mold on walls, flies in room, stains on carpet, stains on wrinkled bed sheets, raggedy, sink clogged, holes in curtain, filth on sink and counters after being cleaned. We were stuck because we evacuated due to storm. Wish I could post pictures. We had to go buy plastic to cover the beds they made and new sheets and blankets on top of that. Pool was green. Pictures on their website were probably from 50 years ago. Dont stay in this filthy disgusting place. The hotel manager sits in a locked room behind a glass barrier and when you need something they are not there. Charged a $100 damage deposit. Thats a joke.

Rooms are very nasty and they stink. Room #116 is infested with bed bugs. Stained towels and sheets. Housekeepers are crack heads. I hate it here

Absolutely the worst, most trashy hotel, I have seen. Of course we weren’t expecting anything special but they could take some sort of pride in their business. Paid almost 2 grand for 4 rooms for a week and even asked about issues with roaches. They clearly lied. Didn’t even stay the first night due to roaches falling from the ceilings in every room. Immediately got the on-site manager and this dude started yelling at us like it was our fault and/or problem. We didn’t end up using the facilities so they should’ve done what’s right and refunded us but now they have denied us a refund several times so we will be doing everything to shut this place down. This place isn’t even suitable to live in for the junkies that were screaming and yelling at 2 am.

This was a good deal for the price. No frills, but the linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The check-in experience was horrible; I paid for the room on Orbitz, but the kind lady at the front desk couldnt find my reservation. After 45 minutes of standing outside in the heat (we had to talk through a window because of COVID), I just gave her my credit card and paid again. Within 3 minutes Orbitz called me back, apologized, and gave me a refund for my first payment plus a voucher to use in the future (appreciated and necessary since I paid more at the hotel than on Orbitz).We didnt see any bugs. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower curtain was stained, but the water was hot. Some soap and two sets of towals were provided. There was a fridge and microwave that both worked; I didnt test the TV or wifi but overheard people talking about the wifi not working well.I didnt let my kids swim in the pool because it had algae growing on it. I woke up twice during the night from people arguing outside.All this said, I would stay there again if I just needed a place to sleep and was going to pay directly at the hotel. The price was low, I felt safe enough, and my kids slept fine.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life and the fact that I was here because I was evacuated from hurricane Ida from New Orleans.Me andy daughter all alone and had to stop where we could because we were so tired. The lady at the front counter was so horrible. But when I got to the room I had no idea I would encounter what I did. The room was so unpleasant the door that adjoined the next room would not secure. We complained to no avail. We literally put a stool and a chair in front of the door. I was not able to get a good night sleep before we had to get up and drive additional 4 hours. This hotel was horrible.

Made a reservation on the road at 440 pm. There was nothing to indicate that we had to check in by 5 or we would lose the reservation. Card was charged for the night and customer service was absolutely junk. The place looked like it would be a fine place to stay if you had nothing to lose or you were hoping to score some chemical assistance or some low-end companionship though. Also I could see someone pissing in the parking lot.

Sink was stopped up I told front desk nobody never come to unstop it. AC unit was leaking water and the floor was soaking wet. There were roaches very bad. They tile floor in bathroom was busting up and I cut my foot getting out of shower. They didnt offer me nothing for all the problems.

Undeniably the worst hotel I have seen in 25 years. We arrived late, (with a confiemed late arrival)and clearly were in a slum area. A man pulled his car in ahead of us, and 2 ladies of the evening raced over and began fighting over who got there first. On the inside courtyard there was a group of rag tag young men milling around. We drove out and tried to phone the hotel to cancel. No one answered the phone. I then followed the cancelation directions on my text. Spoke to a gentleman who told I couldnt cancel. We went around and around and he finally heard me say that I was not told that my reservations were non cancellable he said Ill call the hotel and talk to them. He came back after some time and advised me that he could not reach a person either and that he would put in a request to cancel. Still dont know if it cancelled or not. Anyway, beware of OYO hotels! And I didn, t want to give them any stars, but thats the only way to leave a review.

This hotel is a joke and should be shut down. The customer service center you can barely hear or understand the people. The front desk had no one there for over 30 mins. When you call in you talk to the customer service people again and they tell you oh I’ll can transfer your call. No one picks up be cause no one is there! Then they tell you oh you can cancel your reservation but you won’t be refunded. Don’t waste your money there are better options more or less money any where else. I try to find some positive in a business but when your whole business is based around providing people with a place to sleep while traveling or a weekend get away and you can’t even get in the door might as well call your business a scam.

Horrible place. Rude staff, nasty rooms, totally disgusting! Nothing worked there were stains everywhere and hairs in the sink and tub. I would sleep in my truck before I spent the night in that dump. All the OYO hotels seem to be run by slumlords! Two stays is enough to make me stay away from OYO forever. Take my advice find somewhere else or you will regret booking a room at this place, even for one night!

I had a man who was not a guest walk up to my room and ask to come in as I was bringing in my things in middle of the night so security was nonexistent. There was mold growing on the ceiling. When the bath water was draining it made the carpeted floor in next room area wet. There was no coffee pot and we had to go downstairs to obtain any coffee and that’s when it was available. They put older people only on bottom floor so they make you walk upstairs without knowing if you have any body injuries that get worse with muscle stressors.

If I could give less than one stars I would!! This place is so horrible the environment the lady at the front desk kept starting trouble between me and my finance so much! We seen nothing but drama back there we will NEVER be back we didn’t even stay for the full night bc of how she kept starting trouble. The service was also so rude just when we would ask for more towels and YES there was mold on the walls and it stink so bad in the rooms!

We booked on booking.com , yes this was booked for storm work . Got a reservation confirmation and called the day prior to checking in. We arrive at OYO the receptionist was one of the rudest people I have ever communicated with. Horrible hygiene, bad manners, foul language, and the list goes on. I asked to speak to a manager.. LOL same as the first lady.. Bashing the costumers that are paying to stay. Dont stay here sleep in your trunk.

Not only did the front desk attendant have what I could only assume was her boyfriend, but they were both rude and then continued to refuse to give me my room key and a refund. Then they both threatened my life if I did not leave. I have stayed at an OYO in Port Allen and it was amazing but due to this experience I will never stay at an OYO again

Very rude and unprofessional !! Very disrespectful!! Windows in the bathroom doesnt lock and the manager move certain people to certain rooms for the other staff to steal from them!! After All my cash and jewelry was stolen from my room I couldnt afford to stay there and the manager cursed me out and made it seem like I couldnt afford the room but in actuality I could if they hadnt done what they did!! Best advice to customersGo to best American value inn next door!!

Very disappointed, front desk lady wasn’t there when we arrived and when she get did get there she took 20 mins to gather her things and walk inside. Wasn’t rude but wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing. Got our room and went inside, smelled humid and mold, roaches and dirty sheets. Couldn’t stay there, the environment there was awful had to keep watching my back and was afraid to leave my car there.

To begin with the place is very hard to get into. Beds were horrible, rooms were dirty, our door lock did not work at all luckily we had a deadbolt. the people above us partied all night when we went to check out we found out it was the housekeepers above us making all the noise we will NOT be staying again. But the lady in the office was very friendly and nice

Since I cant reply to the response I received I get to do this again. But I have tried to reach out to let your company make it right. I was left on hold waiting for my call to be escalated for almost 2 hours, with only someone checking in on my every 10-15 minutes to see if I was still there.I left a day early because I did everything in my power to leave that place. I asked for a partial refund of the day I was leaving and spoke to the owner of that location directly, your corporate office, and even had my booking company involved and never got a dime back.

Unsafe. A woman staying alone should never stay here. It’s midnight. It’s loud. A bunch of men standing around my door this late. Broken adjoining door locks. Reported to office. Trash outside door. Broken bathroom window. Floor caving in spots. I am fear of my life and I’m stuck here till morning.

Okay they really could b a great hotel but nobody wants to do anything. We stayed in a room that the toilet was stopped up on & none came & fixed it nobody how many times we asked!! & We got charged a $100 for it.

The room is ok ice box doesnt work they have roaches. I found a drug pipe behind the ice box and its a very wild atmosphere and has to much noise very disturbing. Wish I never had stayed there

Got in room and it smelled of mold and humid. Went to desk and they refused a refund for this reason. I have breathing issues and they kicked in high gear. I have prepaid for 3 nights. 157.00 dollars. No refund.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE... If only I could give negative stars. Got the room for my wife online, nothing but shady people, criminals and drug use on premises. She left right away after she was being harassed. And surprise-surprise we didnt get our money back.

LuLu deserves a raise as she went above and beyond, treated me like family and reached out to her support network of veterans. She could have written me off, instead, she went to bat for me. God Bless Her!!!!!

I’m a little upset because in my room the carpet smells like urine by the chair with ottoman and I have told the people at the front desk about the situation and nothing has been done ! They Only promise that they will clean the carpet but they haven’t done so !

Worst hotel in history... I had to force them to change sheets, out of a week had to get towels and rags. Emptied ashtray on floor. Left food that was eaten by my in my room.

This was literally the cheapest place available. But it was also clean and all of the people that work there were very kind and helpful. Better than I expected for the age of the city and the age of the establishment

Garbage.... a friend stayed here after he couldnt find a room anywhere else in town due to a hurricane. He had several problems with the room and management.

The staff is real nice and the owners are nice and very reasonable the rooms and bathroom was so clean very good place to stay.
