My wife and I stayed here because we were going to the Def Leppard concert at Globe Life Field. The rooms are beautiful. Comfortable huge beds. Nice bathrooms and they provide comfy robes. The service was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. And they provided a hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes, and fruit in the morning. This location is very close to Cowboy stadium and Rangers field. They provided us with a shuttle to and from Globe Life for the concert. They have a driver named Van who is soo much fun. This location is also fairly close to Six Flags. It is not a walkable neighborhood. That is the only downside.
Such a wonderful place to be. its beautiful, clean, and the workers are the nicest people you will ever encounter. i got my nails done by serena and she SLAYED them!! not only did she execute my idea really well but she really prepped and pampered my hands before any application of tips or acrylics. this will definitely be my new nails spot! (the videos are weird because i was so excited lol)
I had the most fabulous 90 minute massage from Derrick! He is truly wonderful. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. His massage techniques are stellar. I walked out of there feeling 100% better than when I walked in. He is kind, courteous and gifted! The facility is 10/10! Beautiful, so clean, peaceful...a true place of respite!Staff were all so friendly and helpful.Cant wait to come back!
WOW! WOW! WOW! The food, the wrap around porch for outdoor seating and the ambiance of what you might describe as an antique home. The lam lollipops finished with black lava salt, the delicious burrata salad were a really nice pairing. The crab cakes and the lemon chicken over a lemon risotto with english peas is delish. Nice wine list and not overpriced. The bar is intimate and the background music is wonderful. Get here asap do not pass go! We were enjoying a croissant bread pudding in the bar and that should not be missed! We booked NYE we were so impressed.
The massage was a wonderful experience! The time you spend there is relaxing from the moment you step into the building. However I recommend that you skip any food from there. I had a salad and their was no dressing on it and the croutons that are supposed to be crunchy, was like the rest of the salad....soggy and tasteless!
A Tranquil OasisI recently had the pleasure of experiencing a truly rejuvenating massage at The Sanford House, and I must say, it was nothing short of exceptional. My masseuse, Rhonda Veal, demonstrated unparalleled skill, professionalism, and a genuine passion for her craft, which left me feeling utterly relaxed and refreshed! What truly set Rhonda apart was her genuine care and attention to detail. She checked in regularly to ensure I was comfortable and adjusted her approach accordingly. Her soothing demeanor and nurturing touch created a sense of trust and relaxation, allowing me to fully surrender to the experience.Thank you, Rhonda, for an unforgettable massage experience. I look forward to returning to The Sanford House and indulging in your exceptional treatments again soon!
Very quaint little space. The food and bread was really good. I got the beef medallion served over asparagus that was perfect and some fried potatoes. I forgot to take a picture. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
We were looking for a nice, quiet, place for a 3 day trip and chose the Bristol Cottage at the Sandford Inn. The cottage was large, with a king size bed, jacuzzi tub, and dining area with mini fridge. The grounds were lovely and quiet, the complimentary hot breakfast each morning was outstanding. The cottage was in a gated area with easy access. A wonderul place for a nice getaway.
Booked through Expedia for $367/ night. Sent a message to the hotel through the booking site requesting a parking spot and asking about transportation to an event 3 weeks ago and they never responded. Expedia saidI I would receive an email from the property which never happened. If a hotel is going to accept bookings through a 3rd party, they need to fully participate and respond to questions and requests.. We were charged a $35 cancellation fee. I would recommend booking somewhere with better reservation customer service.
We found The Sanford House after considering another hotel near AT&T Stadium that turned out to be a dump. What a lucky find. We loved Sanford House! It has a wonderful European feel. The entire staff was super nice, the room was great, and the breakfast was another delightful surprise. (We stuck around for the brunch and it was outstanding too.)
Everything was perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Van was a joy to converse with over breakfast. Cant wait for my next visit.
Every year a few weeks before Christmas my mother, sisters and I meet up at the Sanford House to have brunch and plan out our Christmas holiday. It is such a lovely place to eat. The food and drinks have always been good. The waiters have always been kind and accessible. And the atmosphere is perfect for a brunch setting. The outdoor seating area is also beautiful. They have weddings and receptions here and I would recommend couples check it out for sure!
Im incredibly thankful for the staff at The Sanford House. Nick and his team provided exceptional service and a fantastic package for my brothers wedding. Despite initially being our last choice, they exceeded all expectations and made the brides dream wedding a reality. Were truly grateful for Nick and The Sanford House staff. Thank you!
Did not stay at the hotel, but had Saturday brunch at the restaurant. The eggs benedict were excellent and the potatoes were so good I asked the waiter to find out how they were prepared (the secret is clarified butter!)The service was friendly but slow. Still - the food has me looking forward to going back.
Family members stayed at Sanford House, in a roomy, beautifully furnished cottage, that is accessed from a peaceful, lush, meandering garden. Privacy and security were top priority. My identity was confirmed, my relatives were informed, and I was accompanied by a hostess. Security codes are used on cottage doors, and the entrance gate.
I go to the spa across the street for a great massage from Margo...Ive had many all over the US and shes one of the best Ive had
Absolutely wonderful place to stay! The staff was kind and the rooms were very nice. I was there for a wedding and I saw most of the rooms because my friends all stayed there and they are all great. Would recommend to anyone, especially a wedding party. The courtyard is where my best friend was married. String lights overhead, music, and good company made for a most memorable evening.
I had lunch with my very good friend and her daughter to celebrate her daughterβs birthday. The meal was superb, the service was attentive and timely, and choice of an assortment of divine complimentary desserts was offered as a birthday treat. And of course, the Christmas decorations were elegant! Lunch at Sanford House Inn for our special occasions is now a tradition, thanks to my dear friend, and we plan to continue for years to come.
This was our second stay at this property. It is convenient to the Arlington Music Hall and that is basically why we decided to stay here. The beds are very comfortable and all of the staff were very accommodating, but sadly the breakfast this second time was a disappointment. A 5 item buffet. Potatoes were good, scrambled eggs were soupy, Pancakes tasted like made from frozen, sausage patties as well and fruit. Sort of like you would expect from a Country Inn and suites. For the price we paid I was expecting a made to order breakfast with options like what we had the first time we were here. Sorry we will not be coming back. Also, the television instructions need to be updated. They were out of date.
Company sponsored event and was very surprised with the ambiance and service provided. Great food, the staff was amazing and just a wonderful experience .
My experience is based off our Christmas event. And I was in awe of the beauty of The Sanford House. Our event was held outside in the courtyard and was decorated spectacularly for Christmas. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit! I have already recommended their BnB to my family coming in for Christmas.
Sanford house is just amazing! We had a staycation for our anniversary and it was our first time to stay there. The young woman at checkin was very warm and welcoming. The room spotless! Bed very comfortable and room well appointed. The robes were a perfect weight for our climate and good lighting in the bathroom. The fireplace was such a nice touch but we wonβt pick this room again due to very dim lighting only by lamps, no overhead. It was shadowy when it was dark and difficult to even read. The breakfast was stellar just like every meal there! Adding to the meal was Glenna, who was so cheerful and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with nice lighting and very comfy chairs to enjoy the gardens.
Overall, this was a lovely place to meet friends for a reunion. The property is charming. The courtyard and outdoor seating area were so lovely and inviting. The staff was courteous, helpful and had wonderful attitudes. We had several meals at the restaurant and overall enjoyed the selections. The meals were overpriced for the quality, but the ambiance lent itself to me being willing to spend the money on the meals. What I really want to convey is how sad it seems to me to have such a wonderful property and allow it to be in the state of disrepair this place was. If the manager, or perhaps even the housekeeping manager were to simply walk through each room and inspect it for things that needed repair, and then actually do them, this would definitely be a top rated bed and breakfast. I know its an older building, which is a significant part of its charm - but fixing the poorly draining shower, scrubbing the mold from the grout, replacing light bulbs in the bathroom mirror - items of maintenance, would go such a long way to bringing this hotel back to the top notch establishment that it once was.My pillow case and comforter were both stained with dirt - a fact that I discovered the morning after I slept in them. Made me wonder if the sheets had been changed between the last guest and myself.I do think I will return to The Sanford House again, if given the opportunity. The price of rooms, meals, bar items should make it a top tier stay. Hopefully some love and attention to the property can help make that happen.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Faith is the biggest sweetheart! Canβt wait to stay again!
Kerrys the best!!!!If you want tint for your brows, she the one to ask for.Getting a facial she knows the one for you. Great personality and very knowledgeable. Kerry Rocks!!!!!
I booked an appointment with the catering manager, Nick, and confirmed my event date (a wedding brunch five months out) when I booked to see the venue. They confirmed my appointment with me one day out, and I told them I was excited to hammer out the menu and make a deposit, loving what I saw in the brochure.I drove over an hour in traffic and rain for my appointment. I was on time, but was kept waiting 28 minutes, and the first thing out of his mouth was, Okay, I just want to confirm that your dates are flexible as the date you requested is not available. We have a 225-person event on that day. I wish he had told me that before I took time off from work to make the trip.I asked for recommendations in the area since a wedding is not a flexible date. He offered none. Im really sorry; I dont really know what to tell you. This was deeply disappointing. I get it that a 225-person event is a bigger deal than a 40-person event. But it felt like it must have been open when I booked with him a week ago, or why else would you encourage me to come? It seemed as if the bigger event must have come along at the last minute before I arrived, or why would you have confirmed my appointment 24 hours out?It honestly felt incredibly unprofessional. I didnt feel like I mattered at all. And after reading all the Google reviews about how great this place was, I was really let down.I will never try to use this place again. I hope others have a much better experience than we did.
So a girlfriend and I enjoyed a late Christmas giftβ¦. We thoroughly enjoyed the therapeutic hour long massage with a delectable sugar scrub including foot reflexology and topped with a light lunch and π· . Derric(k) was the absolute greatest masseur
What a great experience at The Sanford House Inn! The hosts were kind, welcoming, and accommodating during our stay in the Bristol Cottage. The cottage was decorated very nicely, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to walk around in the courtyard and secret garden while sipping on some wine. The courtyard also looked like a very nice location to hold an event. Breakfast was a great way to start the day with ample seating, a rotating menu, and friendly service. Also, we enjoyed the location as it was only a few blocks from a brewery, coffee shops, restaurants, and other businesses. Our schedule was a bit packed so we did not get a chance to try the services at the Spa.
Update: Received smoking charges a couple of days after check out. Called to get more information because we had no clue where these charges could come from. The manager was not helpful and accused us if smoking in the room. So confused and will not stay here again. Horrible service and accused us of something we didnβt do. Was looking forward to using the facilities for a vow renewal celebration ,but will take my family and business elsewhere where we a treated with respect._________________________________________Prior to unexpected chargesβ¦.Came for a weekend getaway! Nice locationand facilities. The room could have been slightly refreshed cleaned with new soap and shampoo but not that big of a deal because got more from front desk. The fresh chocolate cookies are amazing!
We just stayed here for an anniversary trip and it was awesome. Our room was spacious, clean and as nice as advertised. The restaurant was absolutely divine, and service was amazing. Our server, Michi, served our dinner and brunch the next day. She was great !!!
Stayed in the Vivaldi room, it was clean and spacious with a desk and a king size bed. There was plenty of room to move around without tripping on anything. The only draw back is that the walls are thin so the next room showering and talking in the hallway was noticed. The staff checking in and out was fantastic, the process was nice and keyless entry to both the room and the after hours access was one less thing to have to keep up with. I was travelling as a single person, therefore, parking and neighborhood become a concern after dark, neither were an issue during my visit. The location is 5 minutes to ATT Stadium, 7 minutes to Choctaw Ballpark and 9 minutes to the Convention center...all of which I visited while I was there. I also dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Overall...I will be checking availability for my next trip to Arlington.
I was impressed by this place from the moment I walked in the doors - literally. My husband and I reserved the Regency Cottage as we got an AMAZING deal and it was within walking distance of Arlington Stadium (we were there to see Beyonce and didnt want to deal with parking or driving back to Carrollton late at night). When you walk in there is a beautiful restaurant to the right and left of you and a lovely staircase. The person who checked us in was wonderfully pleasant and she told us they were offering a shuttle to and from the concert. She even said my brother and his girlfriend, who werent staying at the hotel, could take the shuttle as well. The shuttle wasnt free but, OMG, what an amazing benefit for staying at the hotel! The Regency Cottage was gorgeous and more than I could have imagined. As soon as my husband and I walked in I told him we had to come back for a staycation. The cottage included a living area, a separate area with a daybed, desk and kitchenette (with utensils, coffee maker and even creamer and two water bottles in the refrigerator). There were also two cookies wrapped on a small plate on the desk which you could tell were homemade. My husband ended up eating them both so I cant speak on how they tasted (little stinker). There was a separate room where the king size bed was and through another doorway was a very LARGE bathroom with a soaking tub and two robes that were hung up. It also included a separate shower. The most impressive part of the Inn was by far the courtyard. It has a fountain, a couple of pergolas with shaded seating and tons of outside seating and tables around it. It was a perfect area to sit outside after dinner and enjoy an after dinner drink or a glass of wine. We will definitely be back and will be taking advantage of the included breakfast (served from 8:30 - 9:30am), the restaurant and the relaxing courtyard in the evening. The prices are so reasonable that if you are staying in the area you dont want to miss the experience of staying at this one-of-a-kind hotel!
The Sanford House I feel is an amazing hidden gem for the best brunch! My recent visit there was nothing short of amazing with great food and service. Jacob was the absolute best at making sure we were taken care of! This is definitely my go-to spot now.
This place was absolutely amazing to begin with. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I stayed for my birthday and although Iβm local, this felt like a vacation. The food and drinks were 5 stars ! I had breakfast, lunch and breakfast and had no complaints. I wasnβt able to get into the spa so BOOK EARLY but overall I canβt wait to come back ! High recommend! 10/10
(Disclaimer:Never have stayed here but as far as I can tell they have pretty good rates.)Like I mentioned, I havenβt stayed here but I have been here for an event. This place has an amazing outdoor area with plenty of seating. They have a little bar room in the back and the staff here is very friendly. In fact, that was my favorite part. The people that work here were so nice and very attentive. They did an amazing job. The whole place looks really nice and they even have a restaurant inside. I canβt say I fully recommend until I stay here a night but based on my experience being here, I would say give it a shot! Rates seem to be fairly good as of when Iβm writing this but you may want to check for yourself.I will update review when I stay here.
Van Anderson is a great Facilities Manager. He made our visit to AT&T Stadium even better with his fun and informative conversation. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and potatoes was filling. I highly recommend this overall value location.
Update 2022: Just spent the evening in a Royal Villa. Very nice and quiet. Accomodations were comfortable. We didnt have a reservation for dinner, and our plans changed, but all the staff at Restaurant 506 were more than accommodating in getting us sat down to eat. We had a beautiful view of the courtyard and the Christmas decorations are amazing. Rooms include breakfast, which was scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast, which was delicious. Great spot! This place is great. I will start off by saying my wife and I got married here 10yrs ago, so Im biased. For brunch at the restaurant, I had special diet requests and they were more accommodating than anywhere Ive ever eaten.Service was awesome, the food was delicious, and I was shocked that the brunch prices were as cheap as they were. Excellent prices, amazing food, cool atmosphere, great table service.
Attended a baby shower there so didnβt get to see the rooms but Iβm sure they are charming! The grounds itself are very quaint and well kept. I would have loved to learn about the spa and possibly do a staycation there!
We hosted a retirement dinner at the Sanford House, and had an absolutely fabulous experience! We were looking for a dedicated banquet room, and Sanford was able to provide us with a small building, in the courtyard behind the main building -- it was fantastic! The building provided the perfect ambiance for our event, as we were able to decorate to our taste, enhanced by the ambiance that Sanford naturally provides. The food and service were wonderful, as the staff were first rate. We will definitely return to Sanford House to try the restaurant and spa facilities , perhaps for a birthday or anniversary. A real treat in the center of Arlington!!
This is one of my favorite places to stay anywhere! It is so peaceful and clean and unique. They also serve a wonderful breakfast!
I truly wish I could write a separate review for the Sanford House/Restaurant 506 and the Spa as my experience was very different. Our stay at the house was absolutely lovely. The room was perfect and the staff were so kind and accommodating. The dinner at Restaurant 506 was pricey but worth every penny. The spa on the other hand was an entirely different experience. I had a massage and facial which were decent, but the mani/pedi was quite possibly the most unprofessional and not relaxing spa experience Iβve ever had. The nail techs audibly talked about the service I had purchased (a spa manicure and spa pedicure) and how they would not have time to complete part of it due to timing. They made it very apparent that soaking my gel nails off threw them off schedule, which was surprising to me considering it takes 10 minutes or less at my regular salon. I understand when unexpected circumstances arise, but there is a much more professional way to handle those situations then talking about it in front of a paying customer. All of that to say, weβd love to return to the Sanford House and Restaurant 506, but will definitely not be returning to the spa and recommend sourcing another local spa if thatβs something youβre in the market for during your getaway.
Most Beautiful and amazing people our waitress was very attentive to our every need we had the Norwegian salmon it was unbelievably delicious we had the house salad which made with baby spinach with spring mix lettuces tomatoes and pecans house vigorete dressing was perfect we top the meal off with a slice of cheese cake it was the best ever. We highly recommend this Establishment to anyone who loves fine cuisine the Christmas decorations were beautiful and only added to the atmosphere
I came here for brunch with a group of ladies and it was a very nice experience. The place was beautifully decorated from the holiday season.Upon entry, the staff was very friendly and attentive. After taking our orders they brought out a basket of mini carrot muffins and some brown sugar-whipped butter. They were warm and delicious.I ordered their special menu item for the day which was blackened salmon and eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce, spinach and potatoes.I also ordered one blueberry lemon pancake on the side. It was very good. More on the cakey side. But good.Overall, I enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. My only recommendation is to ensure the food is hot when it comes out.My plate was warm (not hot) when it came out and I did not want to send it back because it took a while to come out.Id go back and recommend it to others.PS. Our waitress was Kayley and she was genuinely friendly and did an excellent job! Thank you!
Beautiful Villa and feel at home stay. Comfortable bed, great jacuzzi and the lay out was perfect. Not too small not too big, youll want to stay another night. We had reservations for the restaurant but they let us have dinner to go in the villa which was great as they worked with us to make it happen. The dinner was great as well as the cheese cake. We really enjoyed our quiet and private stay. Will definitely be back and highly recommend for a wknd get away from kids or a nice romantic evening to yourselves
Very nice weekend away. Everyone was very accommodating whether at the spa, inn, or dinner. Our waiter at the restaurant was a little too sarcastic for my taste, and got orders all mixed up, but the meal was delicious. The grounds are lovely and the spa/salon is right across the road and provided much needed massage. I asked/paid for deep tissue, but neither I or my fiance received a true deep tissue massage. Was still a nice experience. The room was large and clean. The chocolate chip cookies and Keurig coffee maker was perfect. We never could figure out how to get our TV to work properly. Overall we would definitely go back
A bit far from things, but nothing you cant get to with lyft, which was way cheaper here than Uber, especially if you call ahead. So very beautiful interior and exterior with classy details so very pleasing to the eye. I am sure you will love it, dont forget to fill in the guess book in the desk drawer at least there is where it was in our room the Brahams . They have a library where you can swap your finished book, so bring one , plenty of gorgeous seating areas to choose from inside or out. Breakfast is fixed menu, but very elegant. Waiters constantly filling your cups, asking if you want anything else. Its spa is across the street. They have a shower too. I recommend Derek.
The overall experience could have been so much better if not for the individual quality of the services. My husband bought me a full day package which was $400 + with gratuity and only two services were top notch and they were both provided by Margo. She did an excellent job with massage and body scrub.I was happy with the chefs preparation of a vegan lunch but I was not offered dessert and watched the neighboring couple have sorbet, chocolate cake and strawberries for dessert so I assumed I would be offered fruit or at least strawberries but I was not offered anything. The pedicure room was not large enough for both technicians, so every time the other tech needed to get by , my service had to stop so the tech could get up and allow the other one to pass , including to go tinkle which she announced loudly to her last client. The other nail tech also audibly dominated the room , which was not conducive to relaxation and adjusted the room temperature to suit her because she was hot. I mentioned twice afterwards that my legs were cold because of it, but was never acknowledged. My husband had paid extra for hot rocks that were actually only warm. Serena did a nice manicure though and is super sweet. The facial was the biggest disappointment. Ive never had a tech put a mask on and tell me to find my happy place while they leave the room. For half the price, Ive either had them massage my neck, arms and or hands during masking and for $80 , very little was actually done. No extractions although I asked about it and no massage other than cleansing. My face isnt exfoliated or hydrated. Normally my face is glowing and super hydrated after a facial, so total waste of time and money on that !The environment was super nice if only the services were as good as they claim to be. My husband is so upset.
This is a wonderful facility in Arlington and near the AT&T stadium. The ground is perfect. Gorgeous landscape and during the holiday period, the decorations are superb. The location is somewhat shaky when you walk toward the stadium. We booked one of the villas and the space is huge. The furnishing is dated however. Beds are good but sofa, chairs, table etc. on the living room are quite dated. Next door people were quite noisy late in the night. Good & friendly staff. Breakfast is just OK. Typical scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes...
The room was beautiful and clean. The grounds were pretty and romantic. Location is excellent...very close to the stadiums but on a quiet corner away from the crowds. Breakfast was good and everyone was so nice and courteous. We will definitely be coming back.
We absolutely love staying at the Sanford house. We have stayed 3 times this Spring to watch our daughter play volleyball. We have stayed in both the cottages and the villas. Beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Looking forward to staying in the her Fall season.
Wow. I cant say enough. The value is well worth the cost. We were able to walk anywhere we needed to go. Service was great. Room was clean and very accommodating. We brought our two dogs and stayed in one of the cottages. Very roomy. Comfy bed. Large tv.There was a wedding on site during our visit. It was beautiful!
My husband took me there for our 8th wedding anniversary. From the time we arrived until we left the following day all employees were very friendly and helpful. The food in their 506 Restaurant was delicious but had limited specialty choices and most items were pricey. A complimentary breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning. The grounds where beautiful and well maintained. Its a great place to spend some quiet time with the one you love.
This place is breath taking. We were in town for a family vacation and just stumbled upon this place. I loved everything about it. The rooms were great, the staff was so nice and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. I can not say enough great things about this place.
What a gem! Stayed here over night while seeing a concert at the stadium. I was very surprised by this place. Its got that warm and charming feel . Cookies homemade fresh and delicious adds to the wonderful charm. The food is wonderful. The staff is helpful and polite. Next time I plan to come back and do the spa.
A lovely old home converted to hotel and elegant restaurant, with on-site facilities for receptions and parties, and a full service spa directly across the street. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, offering a feeling of privacy, even on a busy street. There is outdoor patio dining for when the weather is mild.On our visit, we indulged in Sunday brunch. My dining partner had a fresh Chicken Caesar salad, while I had the Grilled Shrimp and Gouda Grits. I was told the salad was delicious. My shrimp and grits were good, though the flavor of Gouda cheese did not come through. We split the Lemon and Blueberry Pancake, which was excellent!! Not cloyingly sweet, the pancakes were fluffy and tender, with ripe, fresh Blueberries and a perfect lemon icing drizzle. Yum!!!Also good was the Pear-Thyme bellinis, which benefited from a slice of fresh lemon we added to balance the sweetness. Ranch water cocktails were refreshing on a warm morning.Do make a reservation prior to your visit, to be certain of a table. Attire is dressy casual. If you are planning an upcoming event, The Sanford House is worthy of consideration. I know we will come again!
We had such a wonderful stay at this elegant property. It was clean and adorned with lovely art. It was like traveling back in time but with modern touches such as key code access to your room. The courtyard was a gem to enjoy in the evening and after breakfast. Our meal was delicious and paired with the picturesque dining area, made for quite an enjoyable end to our stay. The staff, from Ayionna (apologies if miss spelled) who greeted us to Darla who bid us safe travels, was lovely and hospitable. A place we will surely visit again.
My mom, sister and I were there to enjoy a quiet getaway weekend. We checked in during a wedding at the venue and parking out front was difficult. If youβre expecting a traditional drive up with a portico youβll be disappointed. The front door and check in area are around the front of the building. Thatβs where the difficulties stopped. The front desk staff was welcoming and truly happy to see us! We were informed that the complimentary breakfast was at 8 am the next morning, which fit our schedule so we signed up. We stayed in The Regency room, one of the bungalows across the grand courtyard. There was private spacious parking and the room was well decorated, roomy and clean. Before dinner we enjoyed a relaxing glass of wine in our private living room complete with a warm fire. Our dinner reservations at 506 were at 8 oβclock and we made our way across the grand courtyard not needing to get in the car. The service was impeccable however our dinner entrΓ©es did not meet our high expectations. The servings were large, just not as spectacular as the ambience of the dining room. However, the service and attention to detail were spectacular.Breakfast Saturday morning was fresh omelets with fresh onions and green peppers, bacon and fruit. The omelets came out piping hot and the fresh vegetables were clearly right from the garden. The coffee was hot and delicious. Again, the service was better than expected. We truly felt like we were the only guests there. The location in Arlington made for an easy trip to Waco to visit Magnolia Market. It took 90 minutes to drive there from The Sanford House, well worth the drive.Sunday we had brunch reservations at 506. Brunch was better than dinner the night before. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict were sensational. The staff acted as if we were invited to stay all day.Overall, our weekend was above expectations. Next time weβll try out the spa!! We canβt wait to go back!!
The Sanford House Spa is amazing! I have two teenage daughters and Kerry has done their makeup a handful of times for weddings and Prom. The Sanford Spa has quality products and make up, and Kerry has the perfect touch. She has always done a fantastic job not only with make up but with facials as well!.
This place is everything!! The pecan crab cake benedicts are amazing! So flavorful & and the roasted potatoes just melt in your mouth. Highly reccomend the Hibiscus & Grapefruit mimosas. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being over bearing. My friend and I sat on the patio & it was such a nice view of the garden. Definitely will be back here very soon!
This. Place. Is. AMAZING!!! On 9/14/22, Me and my aunties took my mother out for her birthday and we had an absolutely relaxing time. Were actually planning to come back next month. My mom had Maggie, and she gave the birthday girl a fabulous extended massage and exfoliating scrub. She really took care her, listened to where she needed the most attention, and went above and beyond.I had Robin, and Oh My Gawddddddd, did she some healing hands. I am a first time mother with a 10mo son who threw my back out, TWICE. She understood excatly where I needed the most relief. Her attitude was so bubbly and caring, Im still smiling just talking about Robin and its been hours since Ive seen her.The other two ladies who took care of my aunties were equally as good. When we all met up for mimosa, they raved how great their masseuses was.The price, I would say, was very reasonable for amount work these ladies. They are very accommodating, as they were able to take care of all of us at the same time. This place is great for small birthday parties, girl/guy spa day, etc.Definitely give this place a try if you love a fantastic massage and exfoliating sugar scrub
The brunch is always spot on. I have yet to stay because Im a local, but maybe I will one day. My friend loves their spa. The grounds are beautiful and the whole place is decorated so lovely for Christmas.
Loved the one bedroom cottage! Lots of space to spread out, comfortable bed, great jacuzzi tub and delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting at checkin. Also appreciated the mini fridge waiting with cold bottled water. We enjoyed our massages at the spa - very relaxing and no one made us feel rushed. Lastly breakfast each morning was great with an extremely friendly staff member to get you anything you needed.
Absolutely amazing staff. My boyfriend and I were here for one night in the beginning of a huge snow storm. The facilities manager, Van, was so helpful and super personable. Upon check-in, he already made us feel at home. The cottage was clean and perfect for what we were looking for. Breakfast was delicious and again Van was there and made sure we were happy. When we checked out in the middle of it snowing, he reminded us he was only a call away even though we werent guests there anymore. I will definitely stay here again.
I rarely leave reviews but this place is awesome!! I recently proposed to my girlfriend and was looking for a romantic night (very last minute). We stayed in the Regency Cottage last Saturday and it was definitely worth it!! We were too last minute to get a package but we ordered in food, brought a bottle of champagne, & really enjoyed the jacuzzi! We were skeptical of the βfree breakfastβ thinking it would something along the lines of a hotel continental breakfast. We had a full menu, with a waitress at the 509 restaurant and the breakfast potatoes were the BEST Iβve ever had! I also did not realize the upscale 509 Restaurant was open to the public and will definitely return, if not just to try dinner! Also will be enjoying the spa next time. GREAT JOB Sanford House- youβve definitely impressed!!
I want to thank the good people at The Sanford House. My youngest daughter got married in the courtyard on Sunday and yall made it a wonderful experience! Everyone we came in contact with from planning to completion was very helpful and caring. Beautiful and reasonable pricing too. We highly recommend.
Truly a hidden jewel in Arlington. The establishment is very well kept from outdoors to indoors. The patio area is a dream space for all forms of outdoor gathering, plenty of seating and the gardens are beautiful. Inside, the themed rooms are very clean and comfortable;as well as, the entire staff is both friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back for their signature weekend brunch and again on our 30th Anniversary!! Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable.
Went here for Sunday brunch. The food selection was excellent. My wife had the pecan crab benedict, and I had the steak and eggs with a burratta caprese salad. Both exceeded expectations. The carrot muffins that were brought out to start were still warm and delicious. The ambiance was perfect natural light from the large windows gave it a pleasant brunch feel. Service was a tad bit slow. We could have used being checked on about twice as often as we were. Water glasses sat empty for several minutes and we had to wait until the entrΓ©es were served to request coffees and refills. But overall, that did not detract significantly from a very pleasant brunch experience. We will be back.
This is a whole different experience ! Used to staying at embassy suites and stuff like that. Sanford House Inn takes care of your needs. We were blessed when they offered to watch after our four older kids for 10 minutes and get them into the room and set up for us while we were gone , we arrived late, due to the horrible traffic , and had to rush to a concert. The kids were treated graciously. We had an issue or two arise while staying . No big deal. But they went above and beyond to make things awesome! I highly recommend this place for the hospitality and attention they give to their guests. They turned our trip into a relaxing less stressful experience. Thank you Sanford House !
My husband and I spent our anniversary there last year, it was great. We decided to go back again this year, NOT so great!. The toilet was leaking so bad we had to put our bathroom towels on the floor and even they got soaked. They charged us $75 for supposedly burned sheets. I advised we had nothing flammable in the room. No candles nothing. They sent pictures of the supposedly sheet. It didnt matter we did we didnt do it. They could have at least said since you had problems with the toilet, well just wash the fee but no. There was no consideration. I WONT BE BACK!
Mothers Day lunch with my son. Food and beverages were fabulous!
The Sanford House Inn & Spa was an outstanding getaway venue for us.The Verona cottage was beautifully appointed and most comfortable. Our couples massage at the Spa was terrific. The therapists were outstanding, and we were met with cool water and cheeses and crackers both before and after. Comfortable environment to relax afterward with no one rushing is out the door.Even the bar area was a well-stocked comfortable venue to relax, have some drinks and appetizers and visit both with the staff and other patrons.Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit!
This place is impressive. I was looking for a place that could accommodate 12 people for a 3-day girls weekend. This place was perfect. I rented two cottages, one for my sleeping room and a relationship chat and the other one next door for two guests, and in case we got too noisy. Some guests stayed in the main house, which overlooks the courtyard. Absolutely beautiful. This worked better than paying hourly for a party space and catering [food and drinks].Everyone was great to work with. Breakfast and brunch were incredible, and the ladies enjoyed their massages and foot reflexology at the spa across the street.
An amazing weekend! From our spa visit to our room to the incredible breakfast (provided as part of our stay) and a 5 star beautiful and scrumptious dinner this Inn has it all. I cant say enough about the quality, cleanliness, dΓ©cor, staff, friendliness, desire to please! Thank you for an amazing weekend!
We chose the Sanford House for our wedding, almost 18 months prior to the day. The lady that we signed with left the business about half way through and we had to transition to a new lady. As is with transition some things got lost in the translation. We were originally told that any of our guests would get a discount on a nightβs stay. The new lady was not aware of this discount and I had to ask after several guests were told they would not get the discount. Even after that conversation, Mary (the front desk lady) left a bad taste in some of our guests mouth and they were told no discounts would apply. I had to call back several times and speak with the catering manager about the guests not getting a discount. Everything was straightened out but Mary continued to leave a bad impression was several of our guests, to the point where the guests mentioned something to me about it. We had 33 guests at our wedding.Other than that, food was great. Housekeeping was amazing. The wedding service was perfect. We were able to get a tent last minute and they put it up for us. Samantha was our catering manager and she was EXTREMELY patient with us, we changed our minds several time and she kept up. We had several guest comment on how well she and her staff handled themselves during the dinner.Would highly recommend to anyone. Just be sure you have everything in writing.
We decided to spend our anniversary weekend at a place Ive always wanted to go, The Sanford House Inn & Spa. It is a bit expensive, but felt it was worth it. However, when we enter the room, there was an old, stale smell to it which wasnt very inviting. The room was nice, just had an odd smell. What we were really looking forward to was the made to order breakfast the next morning which I saw listed on the page before I booked. When we went to have breakfast, it was a continental breakfast with cereal, bagels and some fruit. We inquired about this at the desk and they said they had changed their format a few months earlier and were still trying to find places where it was listed as made to order. No compensation was offered. The stay seemed to be overpriced for just serving a continental breakfast. They offered to go somewhere and get us a breakfast, but that didnt seem appropriate. So we went elsewhere for breakfast.Needless to say, we were disappointed for the money we spent and the experience we didnt receive. It looks like it would be a nice wedding venue and the grounds are beautiful. It is near a Babes Chicken, Mellow Mushroom Pizza and the Arlington Music Hall.
We are regulars at TSH for brunch - we went recently for a birthday celebration and it is just the most special place ever - never tire of itselegance and hotel in time ambiance. The staff this time was BRE - shemet us promptly after being seated and took care of our group 5 impecabbly. She had it together but not intrusive which is a skill diners appreciate. The ambiance, food and our celebration was a beautiful memory for all. Many thanks to TSH and staff for such a special affordable place in the metroplex. It is truly a joy every time we visit. Congrats to all for thewonderful job each of you do for your customers.
What a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, the service was professional, but atmosphere was charming and set the mood for a relaxing dunning experience. Oh the wine list is a cut above your standard fair.
The Sanford House was the perfect location for our wedding. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to hold our wedding in the courtyard as planned...and we could not have asked for a more incredible evening! Between the venue itself with all of the lights creating the perfect ambiance, to the amazing waitstaff and wonderful food. The Sanford House set the stage for our dream wedding and I cannot say enough good things about it (nor could our guests who were all very impressed by the venue as well). Additionally, Camille McDonald made planning the wedding completely stress free and was an absolute joy to work with. Its also a huge bonus having everything there in one place - the venue, the catering, the bar, a spa for wedding day hair and makeup, and, of course, a place for all of our out of town guests to stay on site. The perfect venue!
I had a wonderful day at the Spa. A friend gave me a gift card for one of their packages. The massage with Maggie was AMAZING! I LOVE HER! Lunch was absolutely delicious. My facial and body scrub was so relaxing and left my skin feeling SO GOOD. I enjoyed my manicure and pedicure, but that may have just been the nail technician. I wonder if she just hasnt been doing it long. I will stick to my usual nail salon, but I am definitely coming back for the other services!!!
The food! Is amazing and the service is truly inviting. Love it here!
We wanted somewhere in town to spend the night as our single night honeymoon.It. Is. Beautiful. We stayed during winter, and can only imagine how beautiful it would have been in spring or summer. Its a tiny place but its quiet and secluded and beautiful. We stayed in the Regency cottage and it was well worth the extra money. It was huge and we could definitely have stayed for weeks had we had the time and money. Breakfast was a stand out. The chef made everything to order and the coffee is to die for. Best cup of coffee Ive ever had. The staff were wonderful, the room was beautiful. Only place Ill start from now on in Fort Worth!
Great place for brunch! Very clean and beautiful atmosphere. We had Michael as our server and he went above and beyond! Incredible service and great food.
I unfortunately did not have the seamless experience I had hoped for. I hope it is not like this for most brides. I arrived Friday to check-in as it was suggested to stay in one of the cottages to get ready in. They had double booked my room and insinuated that it was my fault even though I did not book the room at all the venue manager did. Luckily they were able to resolve the issue but it made me very stressed and put off to the venue. Luckily, Van Anderson was AMAZING! He eased so many of my anxieties and was SO SO SO helpful to myself, my MOH and my mother. If we even flinched he was asking if we needed anything or if he needed to change anything. I cannot say enough good words about Van. The ceremony/reception was beautiful and the courtyard is amazing. They have a staging room as well which was helpful for cakes and florals so they donβt sit outside all morning. Overall it was beautiful and I had no worries during the ceremony. The food was also amazing and a huge hit with guests. We did the sandwiches package and added hors dβoeuvres as well!
The staff and cooks are amazing people! My wife has a list of allergies long enough to hit the floor and these people went above and beyond the call to accommodate her needs. Not only was her food allergy friendly but it tasted amazing! The house itself is so beautiful and cute! Definitely ask for a tour after eating at their amazing restaurant!
Beautifully decorated for Christmas and a private, quiet and romantic getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The bungalow we rented was spacious and fun. Everything was perfect.
A+ experience! We had a kid free get away in the Bristol cottage it was perfect. We didnt get to celebrate our anniversary in April so this was wonderful. Breakfast staff and atmosphere has no match. Thank you for making our stay memorable
Went for a short anniversary trip, while grandparents watched our daughter. Wonderful hidden gem, wish wed found them sooner! Our stay, spa, and dinner there were so great! A very relaxing and pampered weekend, will be coming back for sure!
Breakfast was very tasty, and the waiter was awesome. Thanks for making our visit a good one! My wife and I met her grandmother & aunt who were staying there, and had a very nice visit. Its a nice quiet little spot that has great decor and a soothing ambiance.
This place is wonderful. I think what puts it over the top is the service. This is textbook hospitality. Even when you are satisfied and think you have everything you need, they will add a little more. The small touches; the room was lit with a soft baked chocolate chip cookie waiting on the desk, real creamer in the fridge for the in room keurig, down pillows and duvet, spa robes, bottled water, spa style toiletries, I could go on. What really sold me, was the staffs determination to make sure I had breakfast and coffee to take with me as I was too busy to dine in, also remembering how I take my coffee and having it ready to go. Wish I had booked a longer stay!
We have our Baby shower done here. The staff was insanely good. Food was awesome as well. It was dead in the heat of summer so it was pretty toasty but they helped by bringing mister fans in to help combat the heat. Incredible experience with this place.
I had my wedding there and decided to use one of the cottages to get ready then to stay the wedding night. The cottage is really nice and spacious but had a terrible musty/old ordor. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included however we waited 20mins to be seated and there was only one other couple having breakfast. The front desk lady or host was nowhere to be found. We tried calling the front desk with our cellphones thinking someone might come but nope didnt happen. They werent very accommodating in the restaurant. I do not eat pork and they didnt have Turkey bacon or sausage options. I asked if I could have eggs instead and the answer was no, that was part of a different entree.I also thought it wouldve been nice to include the bridal/honeymoon suite when you use Sanford for for wedding venue. Wed already spent a few thousands in rental and food but still had to pay the $253 for each night. At least one night would have been nice.
Nice place, would call it quaint. Staff was really nice. Food was ok, looked fancy but could use some work. I had the quail was mostly cornbread a really dry, Brussels could have used another 5. Minutes for my taste. Wifes steak was excellent accompanying sides were ok. Everything needed salt. We had pork belly, definitely could have used more sear time. We had couples massage, best massage either of us ever had, staff was amazing. Overall would repeat spa, may not stay as guest again a bit pricey for the accommodations.
We celebrated our honeymoon here, and celebrate our anniversary here every year. Its very peaceful, the staff are wonderful, and the restaurant is amazing. The one thing that could be improved is this past time, the carpet was in needing of some major stretching, the caulking around the bath tub was sloppy, and somebodys eyelashes were left on the floor.
Loved staying here. The Inn was perfect for what we wanted - we got our own private little cottage and used the free breakfast a couple times. The AC worked awesome in the cottage, btw.Everyone here was super nice. We used the shuttle service to go to the stadium. Van - the guy who drives the van - was super cool and said hi to us the rest of the time we stayed there and remembered our name.We even tried the spa, which is right across the street.Id definitely come back and stay here.
Food was great, but communication needs improvement. When I asked about the soup of the day I was told it was cream of mushroom with bacon, so I ordered that. What I got was vegetable rigatoni soup. I pointed out that I ordered the cream of mushroom and was told they were out of it. So.... Why didnt anyone ask if I wanted that substitution?
Made an appointment for Valentineβs Day a week in advance for a couples massage. Was called by the the Spa 3 days later and heard that there was a double booking for my time. I now had to flip my afternoon plans of a relaxing massage to an early morning one. No big deal in my opinion because it was still going to be a great Valentineβs Day experience, right? Wrong!I was notified in the afternoon before Valentineβs Day, less than 24 hrs ahead of my scheduled massage that they are now going to be closed on Valentineβs Day due to weather. Now I have no time to book a reservation anywhere else for dinner or anything special.I was very disappointed in the process of booking my appointment and really quite angry that they waited until the last minute to cancel my appointment.Very unprofessional. Will not book again and will steer anyone I know away. Go to Spa Castle!! Itβs cheaper and you donβt get the runaround.
The massage and facial were great but we were very disappointed with the makeup. It was basic and not professionally done given the amount we paid. We had to get it redone elsewhere. Please dont go here for makeup.
Loved the Sanford house. We stayed in one of the cottages and it is was perfect for a family of three. The courtyard was wonderful for our 5 year old to run around. The shuttle service to AT&T stadium is also an added bonus! I would highly recommend Sanford house to everyone. Next time I am in Arlington I will be staying here again.
Stayed here for the night of a Taylor Swift concert. They had shuttle service, room was very clean and had ALL the necessities and more. Security of the location was great with a gate to the parking space of the room. Front desk was very friendly as we ordered delivery and had to let them know in advance and called the room as soon as the delivery had arrived and when we went to get ice from the back they were quick and very polite. Would stay here again if in the area again!
We took a chance and went to The Sanford House for dinner Friday night January 8. We thought it would be frantic because of the upcoming Cowboys game. While it was very busy the atmosphere was fun and upbeat, the service was positive, attentive and knowledgeable. Our dinner was enhanced by the great suggested wine pairing which wonderfully accommodated all of our choices for dinner which was difficult because we had such diverse meals; lamb, lasagana, steak and salmon. All dishes were prepared exactly as requested and the presentation was beautiful.Dessert far exceeded our expectations. The bread pudding cannot be beat. All four of us were so full that we enjoyed a crisp walk around the grounds to finish off a great evening.Thank you Sanford House for a really great dinner.
My wife and I stayed at the Sanford House while attending the National Semifinal game. Our room was clean, large, and well appointed. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and interested in taking care of our needs. From the front desk, to the restaurant and staff, to the bar staff, the Sanford House Inn & Spa is first class. We would definitely stay there again.
This is an oasis centrally located in Arlington. The restaurant is absolutely amazing. Staff is courteous and friendly. If you are looking for a weekend getaway, you just found it!
The spa was amazing and will definitely be coming back, no doubt about it. My husband got us a room for the night as it was our anniversary and it was just OK. For the price I guess I was expecting a bit more, but the room was freezing and took a long time to warm up and the bed was rock hard and very unpleasant to sleep on. Oh and there was a Mexican bar just across the way which was blasting music until about 2am which was a bit irritating.
We spent two nights in the Verona Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. While we were gone for the day, the room was tidied up and restocked. We did run out of toilet paper and Nichole said she would bring us more in a jiffy.. and she did! We will definitely be back!
Great couple get a way spot . If youre going to a Dallas game, the stadium is just 10 minutes away.
Sanford House Inn & Spa, is the best ever!!!It was my daughterβs birthday and I wanted to treat her to a great message. I called 6 message envyβs and was told they were all booked for over a month. I decided to google the best spa near me and guess who popped up!!! The Sanford House Inn & Spa!!! We weβre greeted upon entry. Offer us something to drink, small talk until the representative came to get my daughter. She LOVED IT!! And schedule to return.Happy Customers
My husband and I eat breakfast here almost every weekend. The food is awesome along with the service from a very friendly staff. Just wish the chef knew how to make eggs over easy. Seems he only knows how to make over medium.
This was a lovely surprise ! The rooms are beautiful. The grounds are perfect for an event. I could definitely imagine getting married in the grand courtyard. What a beautiful place. The food is Devine !!!! The spa is really nice and has a few services that you cannot find in other places. The staff is friendly.
Pros: antique furniture and charm. Very clean and polite staff. Cons: noisy on a busy road and super soft mattresses. On weekend breakfast is only served from 7-9am. Way too early. Brunch should be included instead to make this 5 star and worth the price.
We only ate at Restaurant 506. Excellent service! If you like Colonial style you will like this place. Its a shame the restaurant is so outrageously high that most people wont choose to eat there. $40-$50 entrΓ©es.
Best place to stay in Texas! Amazing restaurant, spa and rooms. Beautiful gardens! This is the best brunch spot in DFW.
We feel blessed to have not only been able to find a place to stay during the snow storm and power outage this February but also grateful for the accommodating welcome we received by Valerie, Darla and Van.Thank you so much for the stellar hospitality and service. We are already planning a weekend trip later this year to enjoy a stay under more normal circumstances.Joe and Janis
Can I just say I loved this place. Like looooooved this place :)We came to see GnR at Cowboy Stadium (nearby) and decided to just make it a romantic getaway. I found Sanford on trip advisor and was so happy I did. We booked the Riviera Cottage and got a beautiful HUGE room (really dining, living, bed and bathroom). I seriously think it was bigger than my first apartment. It was well decorated, clean, stocked and quiet (even being by a busy street). Plus it had the added benefit of having its own parking out front and gated access.
My husband and I stayed at the Sandford House for our anniversary it was a pleasurable experience. We stayed in the Bristol cottage enjoyed it. The only thing is bring your mosquitoe repellant. The cottage needs to be treated. We had dinner on site at the 506 restaurant double bonus! The manager made every moment worth while.
Lovely stay, delicious breakfast, staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Iβll be back for sure! Thank you.
I visited the Sanford House Spa for a girls day with my best friend. For Christmas, I wanted to treat her to a massage and I found Sanford House after searching for a unique spa close to her (she lives in Arlington, I live in Irving). I am so happy I found Sanford House! First off, it was incredibly easy to navigate their website and purchase a gift card for my friends service. When I booked the service, I was able to use the online booking tool and select the time/date that worked best for us. The spa was great about following up and confirming the details. The day of our services, as soon as we arrived we felt welcomed and pampered. Tyra at the front desk was so sweet and immediately created an air of relaxation. She showed us around and helped us get acquainted with the facilities. The relaxation room was a comfortable spot for us to enjoy a quiet moment before our massages. My massage was performed by Derek and all I can say is: Wow! That man was born to be a massage therapist. He spoke to me beforehand and clarified what kind of experience I was looking for, and his service was exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the service room; the music and aromatherapy was great. My friends massage was performed by Margot and she was equally as impressed. We were both like noodles after our services! After our services, we went across the street to the Sanford House Restaurant and enjoyed a delicious lunch. I will definitely be back, and next time I want to book a staycation for me and my husband to really experience everything Sanford House has to offer.
Phenomenal experience at the restaurant with Michael. This server went above and beyond to ensure we were having a good time. Would come back just because of our server!
Highly recommend! Excellent facials and massages in a comfortable setting. Best pedicure and dip manicure with Serena. She really takes her time and pays attention to detail. Will only being seeing Serena for my mani/pedis from now on.
What a treat.!!!It was a very enjoyable experience. Our waiter Anthony Pearce made us feel so special. He was very professional and always with a smile. Our Executive Chef David Pacheco created an incredibly delicious amuse bouche and our entrΓ©e was out of this world. Well be back, for sure.
We loved this place. We stayed in a cottage. It was very roomy and very quite. Its 3/4 of a mile from AT&T Stadium I was able to walk to the Cowboys game no UBER or Lyft needed. The only cons its not in a great area of town and really no restaurants or drug stores within walking distance. They are close by but it was still a bit of a drive. I will stay here again if I come to another Cowboys game.
If I could rate a place zero stars, I would. We had to leave early. No parking, high prices, buttinsky staff. I would only recommend this hotel to my worst enemies. Only register if you plan to sit meekly in your room and quietly read the Bible. Any chance of having fun will be immediately quelled. They have lost several potential future clients forever.
Everything about this stay was amazing. Quality food and drinks at the restaurant, cottage was quiet and secluded. Jacuzzi style bath tub. Large bathroom, sitting area, breakfast nook, comfortable beds. If Im ever in the Arlington area again, I will stay here.
Everyone was so nice and accommodating and the cottage and grounds were beautiful. The food was delicious. What a wonderful, quiet refuge from the busyness around us. Also, loved my massage.
A bit disappointed with the service that I didnt get. They booked me for the wrong week. They asked us if we could come back then. Really? Even though they tried to make things right, they only offered to give us our rock addition to our massage free, along with a drink. They are expecting us to pay for our massage in full without some kind of discount. They were clearly at fault, my first time will be my last time. Whatever happened to customer service to make a pleasurable experience, the spa customer service, in my eyes didnt take responsibility for their error. Im still livid and disappointed with how me and my sister were treated.
The atmosphere of the Sanford House is very relaxing. The courtyard makes you forget that you are in the middle of the city. It felt more like being in the country or on vacation in a cabin. The food was outstanding as well. Everything was cooked just right and tasted incredible.
First off I cannot reccomend this place enough. The Sanford house is a wonderful restaurant hidden away in Arlington. I moved to this area about 1 year and a half ago and I never would havd found it if it hadnt been for a friend, and man am I glad I did. Working in the food industry for 7 years has brought me to many restaurants that boasts of being gourmet, and this is the first place that I wasnt over promising. We went during brunch on Saturday and theu werent very busy. The servers were very friendly and helpful with giving suggestions on what to order. We started with the mimosas, which were not like the normal boring mimosas you get with any other brunch. You could add flavors such as passion fruit and strawberry as well as mix them. We never went with our glasses empty since the servers were so attentive. I ended up ordering what the server suggested, the Creole biscuits and gravy. This was one of the best things I have eaten. The biscuits were light and fluffy, and the andouille sausage gracy was rich and creamy, but it didnt stop their. It was topped with a sunny side up egg and braised short rib. All the flavors and textures mixed together perfectly. I waztvery happy I chose this high class version of a breakfast classic. The only downsize was the food was so filling that I didnt have room for dessert. I guess I will have to come back again thos week. Do yourself a favor and come to this wonderful restaurant and get yourself the best meal you can get in Arlington.
Great Sunday brunch spot with gourmet menu and killer bloody marys in a classy, Victorian-style manor. Made to order eggs over shredded brisket migas were fabulous, as were the bloodies, with smoked candied bacon twizzlers and all the shrubbery. Outstanding service also. Definitely a place for special events and occasions.
I was not impressed with smelling mulch Friday and Saturday as we prepared for a wedding. Also the hole at the gate of the villa needs to be fixed. For the price of one night I the villa, was quite surprised to see how much they advertised Angel Soft Kleenex and toilet paper. Also the panel on the jet rub is warped and the shower curtain does not fit.For $400/night, I expected the absolute best of the best. Creme de La Creme...... far from it.
We were very displeased with the care of our wedding reservations by the Sanford House. Six months before our wedding date, we reserved the grand courtyard and two cottages (for two nights) for our special day. Six weeks before our wedding, we were told that our cottages had been double booked and that the Sanford House wouldnβt change the reservations, booked after our contract, to put them back in our name. Our wedding schedule depended upon access to the cottages so we cancelled our reservations. Thankfully, the Sanford House gave us our deposit back, but we are still very upset from the lack of care for our wedding. Now we have to find a new venue and change our plans five weeks away from our wedding date. We will never do business with the Sanford House again.
The best staycation weekend ever! This will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for all of the sweat and muscle put into making our vow renewal perfect!
I did not stay the night here, nor order any food.I simply toured the location as a possibility for my wedding venue. My wife and I did not end up choosing this venue, but I still very much enjoyed it, here.It definitely seems like a place where we would like to stay for a night, sometime.
Sanford House Inn was a beautiful place and we loved it. Any small problems we had were taken care of immediately and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great food, close to the stadium, convenient shuttle.
I have never stayed here, only for a small get together and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and I had a great time. People do not notice the area behind the building, but its very nice for small dinners.
Dinner was cold & vegetables had no flavor. Hired help was attentive & courteous. Outdoor area was very pleasant. No sturdy chairs with arms for older guests.
I almost hate to share this one. The place is tiny and I might not be able to get in if too many people try it. We hit on it by accident when a friend flew into Arlington airport and had a little time to catch a meal. So, we were there at the 5:30 opening and started at the bar. Wow, a man sized drink for sure! The we moved to the dining room which was only a few feet away. There wee three of us with big smiles as we finished our wonderfully prepared meals. We are not in Arlington often and it is 50 miles from home but I would certainly want to eat here again next time we are in town!
My sister just had her wedding at the sanford house, it does not take an idiot to realize how amazing and unique this place is. Our wedding coordinator was an absolute doll and made the bride feel like it was going to run as smooth as possible, and it did! the rehearsal was a piece of cake and she was basically there 24/7, the service in the front desk was impeccable and everyone talked to you like you were about to pay a million dollars. The dinner was fabulous and the venue outside is so beautiful you barely needed any decorations. this is by far the most beautiful place to have a wedding, look no further than here! watching my sister christina get married to her husband jim was one of the best weekends ever! Thank you everyone and all staff at the sanford house for your hard work an dedication to make everyone feel at home!!
Super quaint and comfortable . Way better experience than a big corp hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly! The bed was so comfortable and the robes were so chic.
Fantastic experience. Entire staff was very helpful and more than willing to help. They genuinely wanted to make our stay the best that it could possibly be. We will definitely be back!
Not your typical historical bed and breakfast, but still relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is delicious.
Wonderful, beautiful rooms, pristine grounds. Everything was great! We were even in a hurry for breakfast and they made us a fast DELICIOUS breakfast that we had to eat and run. Would love to stay here again.
We attended a 50th anniversary dinner in a facility separate from the main dining area. The garden area was cool and inviting as we made our way to the event. The staff was efficient and the food was excellent!
Four of us went to celebrate my wifes birthday. All four dinners were excellent and the service was superb. Best Osso Bucco Ive had and my son raved about the venison.
The room was extremely comfortable (villa), the food was exceptional, Anf the 2 ladies at the front desk were soooo accommodating and professional. Wonderful place to stay and will definitely return.
Easily the best B&B in Arlington if not the Metroplex. Amazing rooms and garden area. Exceptional restaurant. And most importantly, over the top service. Second to none. All in the heart of downtown and minutes from the best entertainment venues around.
Had a nice little get away with my wife here. Everything was clean and well kept. The best part is the dining. I have had breakfast and dinner here and it really is 5 star! Definitely worth checking out!
Wonderful place for a gathering. Food is top notch!! Close to everything downtown Arlington
We are returning guests to the 50S RESTAURANT. Food and service is always good to great. This was our first brunch ... and we will do brunch again, many times
It has a beautiful, fairy land garden, fabulous rooms, and gourmet food! And the staff are just wonderful and attentive! Thank you for a superb weekend.
Attended my friends wedding here and it was lovely. Beautiful venue with great lighting and gardens. The rooms were very nice as well though I didnt stay overnight
Went to a brunch event with family. Staff was nice, helpful. Good food, though the menu was (understandably, and known in advance) limited. I dont have any idea what their prices are, as this was a special event.
You could not hope to find a more magical place in DFW! The Sanford House is perfect for business or pleasure family or colleagues! Come on a weekend and let Van take you a Cowboys game.
Took my fiancΓ© here for breakfast on her birthday back in Feb and she absolutely loved it. Service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. Will come back for sure!
I did a wedding shoot here a while back, and my observations of the location, features and services were that this is a great place to hold an intimate outdoor wedding.
Staff and service top notch. Love the amuse-bought and sorbet. Desserts are to die for. My ribeye was tough and not worth the price.
Absolutely in love with The Sanford House Inn & Spa. Its adorable. Rooms are lovely. Staff is even lovelier. Cant wait to come back!
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. A truly luxe experience! We loved it.
Great drinks for brunch! My experience was the biscuits and gravy was nothing to write home about but would definitely return to pick another menu item.
Very nice spa. Dont let the location in old Arlington deter you. Its really nice and the staff are great!
Excellent and inventive dishes. Where many high priced restaurants nickel and dime you, they give you extras. The servers seem most concerned with finding ways to make your experience a happy one.
First time here. Attended an event held in the pavilion. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Food was buffet style and really good. Will definitely some back again.
I got a massage from Rebecca Jaussi today, and it was by far the best massage I have ever received. She uses reflexology so well, you will be a limp noodle in heaven by the end of your massage. I will definitely be returning.
Beautiful accommodations, very friendly and helful staff and extraordinary chef. Dinner was as good as any 4 star restaurants out there; best I have had in years
We celebrated our second anniversary here, and it was fantastic! The service was attentive, the food was good, and the staff was pleasant.
Excellent Bed and Breakfast spot. Very homey! A wonderful staycation for our anniversary.
Had dinner only all food was delicious, perfectly prepared Sous Chef Winter was wonderful came out and introduced himself to us...desserts were amazing
Ive been coming here for over 5 years and frankly I am shocked at a review I just read. The service os absolutely always the best and every one of the folks is professional and top notch with your care being their only and most important concern. β€οΈ
Very clean and decorative. Restraunt is great. Sraff accomadating. AC im rooms inadequate for Texas in summer. Beautiful lanscape and gardens. Close to stadiums and six flags.
I fully recommend staying here! Itβs beautiful and everyone is so friendly. The rooms are comfortable and I still dream about that bathrobe! My boyfriend and I loved it!
Best inn in Texas! We come here every time we go to six-flags. The food is amazing and the spa across the street is relaxing.
Amazing place! Lots of charm and an impeccable staff. Plus, the in house restaurant, Restaurant 506 is outstanding! We will be staying here anytime were in Arlington!
The Sanford House is a very quiet hideaway in the middle of Arlington. They have an Executive Chef on sight and all the people that work here are great. Come add see it for yourself.
The property is simply gorgeous. Staff is friendly. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Wish I could stay longer.
Beautiful room, great food, excellent service, and the spa is amazing. I would add that the spa is across the street from the main house so you have to drive or brace traffic after your spa experience.
Jacuzzi tub for 2 , dimmable lights in bathroom ,Romantic fireplace bring your own bearskin rug
Fantastic Bed and Breakfast, that offers great customer service, beautiful grounds and amazing food. We will definitely have to try their spa next time.
The server was outstanding, food was a 5/10. Dont think well be going back.
Elegant, classy and delicious! Iβve been to weddings, lunches and bakers here. They were all so intimate and magical.
Friendly staff. Great accommodations. Short walk to the AT&T stadium. Have stayed several times and will continue to come back.
We attended a wedding here. Very nice patio area and separate building with kitchen, bar, and dining room. The only downside is the traffic noise.
Great menus and everything is delicious. Nice atmosphere.
We had a wonderful brunch. The staff were very cordial and helpful. We will be back and bring family members!! Thank you. The Murphys
Beautiful, lovely venue for weddings, parties, luncheons. Soundproofed rooms---for gatherings and for overnight B&B. Salon and spa. Good food and courteous service. Accommodating.
