Bare Necessities Floating and Massage

First of all, this really is a best kept secret in Arvada but I dont think it will be for much longer. Being in the customer experience business for over 28 years and working for two of the worlds biggest entertainment companies I pride myself on the service philosophy I have developed. I was a client at my previous float location for almost a year and not once did an associate at the check in desk address me by or know my name. First sign that they are not there to make you welcome and comfortable (a shame when I was paying $80 for an hour long float). My first visit to Bare Necessities began with the owner Loretta greeting me and addressing me by my name. Immediate sigh of relief! I had an hour long massage with the most in tune and attentive therapist I have had in years. Top shelf professional and absolutely knew what she was doing and helped develop a plan for massage and other services. Then I spent an hour in the float suite, which is awesome because you are not in a pod or chamber. This is actually a room that you can stand in , but has around 11 of body temp water to float. It offers light, star light or music (which I pass on to experience the total dark and quiet classic float) for new floaters who need to ease into the classic dark float or those who just prefer light and sound. Just got home from my second float session and walking in I was greeted like I was an old friend. Already have my next float and massage booked and will get the fire and ice on the calendar too! Observing how everyone here treats the patrons and the cleanliness and relaxing atmosphere, if you want a place you can regularly visit and leave feeling like what you have paid for was worth it this is the place. Secrets are never kept for very long!

I love getting massages with Jennifer! She always helps me feel relaxed and checks in with me at the beginning about how my body is feeling that day so she can focus on any stiff spots or avoid injuries. I come out feeling so refreshed!

This place is AMAZING! I used to float all of the time and havent found a new place to float. My friend got a voucher for me to this place and Im happy to say that I found a new float home! Everyone at this location is super friendly, and their float tank is huge and it even has stars on the ceiling!Thanks for being awesome guys, Ill be back! :)

Awesome place The people are professional the ice plunge is phenomenal and into the sauna was great The float tank me and my wife went together thats how big it can fit two people at a time it was very relaxing and after I got done with that I went and got a massage and I felt like a wet noodle so relaxed All my anxiety went away I feel like Im on a cloud well give it a try its awesome.

Had a great prenatal massage. I felt comfortable and super relaxed. I’m 20 weeks and the inflatable pillow for my belly was very comfortable and a nice break to lay face down on my stomach. The pressure was perfect. My neck and back feel brand new. I’ve never gotten hot stones before and that was a real treat. I’ll be back again for another massage and to experience the couples float!

We have received massages, sauna, float, and the cold plunge here. Very nice facility and friendly staff. Our #1 place for self care!!

I did the cold plunge and sauna. It was great. The cold plunge was at 45 degrees. Both amenities are in a private room. If you enjoy a good fire and ice session definitely reserve a session here!

My brother lives in the Denver area ,and I was looking for a birthday gift for him. Bare Necessities Floating and Massage did not let me down!I was easily able to schedule him for an ice plunge, massage, and hour float using the online scheduling tool. They even have the ability to note that you are purchasing for someone else and put their name! This was very handy for me as it allowed me to make it a surprise 🙂. I was also able to pay online ahead of time via the portal.My brother had an excellent experience and I believe he will return in the future.

This place is amazing! I did the fire & ice plunge, float, then massage. Each session was even better than the last. It was my first time doing float therapy and it was an incredible meditative experience. The staff here are incredibly professional and helpful. I had Matt for my massage, and he was great to work with! Very communicative about pressure, areas of tension, etc. I’ve already booked my next session with him!

So impressed with my experience at Bare Necessities! Friendly, helpful and my float experience exceeded my expectations. I feel great afterwards.

I thoroughly enjoy this place. I love the price. I love that I get to do multiple treatments affordably and back to back. I ALWAYS have a great time where I am able to fully fully relax and come down from the stress of my life. Worth booking. Matthew was a great masseuse also, very intuitive with my problem stress areas in my body.

Simply said, a very unique and incredibly cool experience. I appreciated the instructions ahead of time to assist with setting an appropriate expectation. The staff is welcoming. They have created a comfortable space where you can reset. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. My wife and I did the floats and massages. This place is super clean, private and their pricing is fair. The staff was friendly and Matt is the best massage therapist we have ever had. Looking forward to going again soon. 10/10

Very cute clean place with a cottage/cabin vibe to it. Great staff with great communication. I did the fire & ice contrast therapy, the float, and a general 60min massage. The contrast (fire & ice) therapy is offered in the same private room with a plunge tub, and an infrared sauna, plus a space to set your things and a separate chair to hangout in if you need a break from the fire & ice portion. The float tank offers music to choose from and colored lights for a soothing ambiance. There is a private shower to clean off before and after the float tank along with towels, body wash and some extra niceties like ear plugs, q-tips and a mint.And last but not least, I got my massage with Matt, who did a phenomenal job. He has an amazing quality of touch, is very professional, and works 3 dimensionally with the slopes and angles of the body using movement and gentle stretching appropriately to relieve “stuck” spots and tension.I will definitely be back. 🥰

I love this place. The massages are out of this world fantastic and the staff are friendly, kind, and so helpful. The facility is super clean and very cozy. Bare Necessities is an Arvada gem! Highly recommend treating yourself to a fabulous 60 minute massage!

My husband surprised me with a massage and float. It was fantastic! Great customer service and small business. It is relaxing and cozy. Definitely want to go back!They also just started a monthly membership which is affordable and the benefits roll over. If you want to treat yourself, this is a great place!

Moriah was amazing! Honestly, one of the best massages I have ever had. Every detail was covered. Heated and soft table, hot stones, cupping and deep tissue massage. I will definitely be back!!

I bought two Groupons for my partner and myself for a 60 minute float and 60 minute massage. We arrived a little bit early, as it was our first time for both the float and massage and the owner working there was incredibly nice and created a welcoming environment. I felt safe, relaxed, and comfortable my entire time there. For me personally the float was enjoyable but I think it would be even more enjoyable if I go more often. With the massage the owner did an overall body massage that felt absolutely amazing! I told her a few areas to focus on and I came out of there feeling like a new person. The lotion, oils, hot rocks, music, and techniques used all really created an amazing experience for us! As far as their COVID-19 precautions they are doing really well. The owner made sure to wipe down the area of the float tank before we used it and we all had our masks on during the massage. I feel like for the quality of service offered here and the affordable prices, I will totally be coming back!

Large float tanks with solid lighting option if you need it. Space is a bit odd to get to from Google maps at times, but always solid service. They offer affordable massage options as well.

I decided to try out Miracle Touch on a whim after seeing their awesome new client special and Im so glad I did. I saw Aubrie and it was one of the best massages Ive ever had! Location was great, plenty of parking, and they have late evening appointment times , which helps with my work schedule. Also, the prices arent astronomical, compared to other massage studios. Definitely will be back !

My partner and I went for the introductory couples float tank session. The tank was large enough for both of us and played relaxing ambient music during our float. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Might try the massage next time.

Superb massage! For those who have been to Samana to float, Bare Necessities have the same tanks! They are fabulous! The decor inside lovely and the service was really great. They actually focused on the areas that I requested for the massage and I felt refreshed after the float. Thank you!

Small mom and pop vibes, the masseuse was incredible but the float was meh. they forgot to play music while I was there and nobody was there to help me get to the massage after the float. disappointing, but worth the priceedit: the float is not worth it, they dont keep the air in the float tank warm enough to keep the water droplets from dripping. Im also giving them 2/5 stars because the owner and her mom are not trans friendly at all. literally, the owners mom stares at me like I have 2 heads every time I walk into the place, and no matter how many times I correct them on pronouns, they dont care.the only good thing about this place is their masseuses.

For our anniversary we wanted to try something wed never done before as an adventure before dinner. OUTSTANDING. We loved it. Absolutely loved it. It was alternatively meditative, contemplative, fun, playful, blissful and delightful. We no sooner left the private float tank room and we were already booking it again for 2 weeks later.

Bare Necessities is a new massage and float tank therapy facility located in Arvada. Opened in June 2020 they offer single and couples massages and single and couples float therapy. This unique combination is very rare to find anywhere and I was thrilled to see it in my town!I had to try the Hibernation treatment. That is a 60 minute massage and a 60 minute float. This 60 minute massage had perfect pressure and hit every body area with expert treatment.After the massage I was briefed on the use of the float tank. The tank is brand new and top of the line. It is the largest eps salt tank I’ve ever seen and can hold two adults. It features several preprogrammed audio sessions and has buttons inside to control volume, lights and starlight.If you’ve never tried flotation therapy, or “sensory deprivation tanks” (a dated term) this is a perfect way to experience the best. I prefer complete darkness when I float. It helps me relax and start to doze. If you aren’t comfortable with darkness the optional light features will help you feel more comfortable. You get to choose how much light is available.In all this facility is new, clean, immaculately maintained and the staff is so nice. I met Loretta, the owner, and she made me feel right at home and comfortable as I was treated to my newest favorite thing to do in Arvada: The Hibernation treatment at Bare Necessities.Gift cards and scheduled appointments are online. February bookings fill in December. So schedule ahead! There are so few couples massage facilities in Arvada and this is the only couples float tank I’ve ever seen. A real gem.

First time in a float tank. We did a couple session and it was a great experience. The staff were great and everything leading up to our session took any fears away. I recommend it for everyone. We left an hour ago and we are already booking another appointment.

We tried our our first floating experience at this place and it was great! We had never floated before so it was all brand new to us but the owner here was so sweet and welcoming. The decorations inside are so beautiful and comforting. Overall I’d highly recommend this place!
