This place is amazing! My husband myself and our friend all went in for a 90 minute massage at the same time. My husband had his first experience having someone walk and kneed his back and he said it was a great experience. Mine was a combination of deep tissue massage, with stretching and hot stones and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. It was our friends first massage and now he is hooked and wants to go back! Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back!

We had a massage today and this has been our second time coming here. Both massages have been hands down the best ones we have ever received and we have come home feeling rejuvenated and so much better. I made an appointment. It was confirmed with me via text to come at 6pm, shortly after they texted to come at 6:30. I confirmed let them know if it’s any later I cannot come. They confirmed 6:30!I arrived to the location. They told me I was not on their schedule , with no record of my information at all . She offered to do my massage at massage at 7:30pm. Absolutely no apology nothing ! She couldn’t even say sorry, for wasting my time. I Drove all the way here to just turn around and go back home with my pained neck and back! The reason why I was going in for my Massage in the first place :/ Extremely disappointed with this salon!!They speak horrible English and seems like they have NO idea whatsoever, who is scheduling their appointments! I even showed her the text messages. She confirmed that was them but said it wasn’t her writing.! Never again coming here!! or recommending this place to anybody!

Simply put, this was a professional and wonderful experience. We went in for a couples massage Groupon purchase... and had no idea what to really expect. The massage was vigorous, which we both drastically needed, and the hot stone treatment was incredibly hot and incredibly relaxing. We will return, and I would suggest anyone who has plenty of time working in a hunched position (most office workers) to give this a try. If you can, book in and improve your day!

I purchased a couples massage for my wife and I, and this was the worst massage we’ve ever experienced. We were never asked if we had any problem areas we wanted worked on or areas we were uncomfortable with and to avoid. My wife had to keep covering herself back up throughout the massage. For the masseuses, it felt like his first time giving a massage (ticked more than anything) and hers felt incredibly rushed. The photos must have been stock images since the inside was very dingy.

This was definitely a cultural experience. Jenny got right down to business. No small talk. Quick, efficient, and strong. Definitely knows how to use her weight for an effective massage, and she is not shy. The massage was excellent! Hot stones were a nice addition. The environment needs some love. The space is old but clean and smelled of Asian food. It is very basic and sparsely furnished. Nevertheless, I left feeling renewed, relaxed, and invigorated.

I think my husband got the best hands, because he’d rate it 5 ⭐️, but I’d give it 3. It was a good experience overall, it did feel like a thorough massage (not a relaxing one, more like deep tissue), but there are many things that can improve. I’ll suggest some:1. They never asked why we wanted a massage, what hurt, what we were expecting. The start felt rushed and we didn’t know what to expect, they literally didn’t say anything. I the reason is language being a barrier, maybe a written form would do.2. Ambience! I put a spa playlist on my phone because there wasn’t any music in the room and it felt awkward. I suggest that as well as some candles or essential oil diffuser.3. Please take good care of your hands, I could feel the calluses in my masseuse’s hands. I was pretty sunburnt in some areas which made matters worse.4. When we were ready to leave tips, they showed us a sign of what to give based on the experience. $25 for “Excellent”, $20 for “good”, and so on. It’s cool to have that sign up somewhere visible as a suggestion, but when they’re pointing it out and waiting for you to choose, one can feel pressured which might have an opposite effect.I would probably go back though! They had solid technique, good prices, and it looked clean. It’s nothing like going to a licensed massage therapist btw, so don’t expect that. This is good for emergencies, like being hella sore from hiking a fourteener the day before.

My daughter bought a massage for both of us for my birthday through Groupon back in June 2022. We were a little apprehensive as the place is not designed as other expensive spa atmospheres and there is a language barrier. The language barrier did not bother us and we were able to communicate with Lily & Lisa. Some people can find that intimidating. During the massage they did have to step out a few times and did chat to each other, but that did not bother either of us, as we would talk to each other too. I made the mind decision to just relax and make the best of it - to keep my mind open. The massage was Outstanding!! It is hands down the Best massage I have ever had! First they massage you with the sheet on you , which I have never had done before but really enjoyed. Then they massaged right on your skin. They really knew where the tight muscles were and worked on those to loosen them up. They would stretch the muscles and your arms and your legs and your hips. It was wonderful. Lisa popped my hip that hasnt popped but a few times since my 2019 lower back surgery! There wasnt a lot of hand or foot rubbing, but the outstanding body massage made up for that! They also did hot stones, which I never had done before and they were hot, but they did ask if it was ok and I said yes. I really like the stones, I love heat! They were out in the lobby when we left to receive their tip (typically is 20% of the massage price). We gave them each a $50 tip, as the massage was exceptional and we both felt so light, just like they said we would. Thanks Lily & Lisa!

Found a Groupon for a massage and decided to call them to honor the price so they could get all of the money. They told us they would honor the price and to just come in, but when we came in they told us they would not honor the price and we had to pay full price.Maybe they do good happy endings, but wouldn’t recommend them.

They make you pay upfront before your massage. I agreed to pay $10 extra for essential oils, not worth it, not nice. But got changed $18 instead to my credit card. Paid for a couples massage but it was not the experience we paid for. First we waited 10 minutes for the therapists to come back after telling us to get ready(timer was running). The massage(rub down) was very one sided. My therapist kept leaving the room(several times) to do laundry, leaving the door open while she left the room, and then continuing where my girlfriends therapist was working(not where she left off). The therapists talked to each other throughout the entire massage(in another language) making it even more uncomfortable. On top of everything the door was open most of the time, and you could hear the laundry the whole time, plus the lights were on(not a relaxing environment). The worst part was the therapists had the nerve to ask for tips, and stood right next to the cashier until they got them.We will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. NOT PROFESSIONAL!

We prepaid for the massages before hand and we had four people getting massages. When we started to leave we were demanded that we give a tip so we gave them $15 and they demanded more. We had already paid for a 60 minute massage and the total was $240. They expected $10 per person. So our total came out to be $280 for the whole thing. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY HUSBAND OR ANY FAMILY MEMBERS HERE AGAIN!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE OR TIME. THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE!!

Made an appointment for today and clarified they massage more than just the back. They said it was a full body massage. I verified again because I exercise regularly and needed my upper chest, thighs and feet(including toes) to be massaged. They, again, verified these will be part of the massage.Got there and verified with the masseuse what I needed more work on. She said ok. She did NOT massage my thighs, chest or feet. She did quickly rub my heals then punched my feet. The remainder of the hour she massaged my spine. I had to stop her 5x to tell her it hurt that she was pressing my spine down with her elbows. Now, my spine is killing me and I have a horrible headache. Definitely do NOT recommend. Yeah, its clean but big deal if you pay $60 and come out worse than when you went in.Oh, and she expected a tip so I gave her one....dont compress the spine unless you want to literally paralyze someone.

We had the couples massage with the hot stones. We are both extremely athletic and put our bodies through a lot every week. We booked our massage the day we got back from a very long trip knowing our bodies were going to be sore and tired from all we put them through during our trip. We were both very impressed by how both therapist were able to loosen up all the sore tight muscles we had. We are already talking about trying the other therapy’s they offer like cupping etc. The customer service and care was wonderful and knowledgeable.

It was OK. I enjoyed the cupping and the massage was pretty good (nothing wow) but the place was... a bit chaotic. The therapists were talking amongst each other and it was hard to be relaxed... Its not that much cheaper than other wonderful SPAs with a lot of privacy. I dont even know where to being... my back feels worst now then it did before I got there! Me and my boyfriend got the couples massage package and we were left speechless to say the least. And not in a good way! The beds we were laying on had stains on it; the air smelt like feet and the room so so small and disgusting. They kept the bright lights on the whole time and They didnt even have music on until halfway through the massage so we had to listen to the masseuses heavy breathing for the first 30 minutes. Were still trying to figure out how that was worth $140! My boyfriend and I just dont understand how the massage could be that bad. That was my first massage and it was the worst massage! We will never come back! What a waste of money. Disappointed is an understatement, And when it came time to leave, the masseuses were so ungrateful for the tip that we did leave because they didnt feel like it was enough. I want my money back!

WORST MASSAGE EXPERIENCE EVER. I rarely leave bad reviews but I feel I owe it to anyone considering getting a massage here.The massage was so fast and harsh and not relaxing at all. I felt like I was being beaten. From the moment it started, I couldnt wait for it to be over. My nervous system was so stimulated that when she finished and left the room, I started shaking and CRYING.She left the door open the whole time and was going in and out. I could hear other employees and other customers talking as if they were right next to me. The light was also on in the hallway and spilled into the room. What kind of place leaves the door open?!I felt the massage was so terrible that I only wanted to leave a small tip but they took demanded a higher tip. It was an argument where they just kept saying over and over that I needed to tip 20% and then wouldnt give me my cash back when I asked for change.Everyone I encountered was abrasive and rude and I cannot fathom where they got their good reviews from. Family and friends, maybe.

DO NOT GO!We went for a couples massage with a Groupon. The facility is not what one would expect. Small rooms with tables crowded together. It is not a relaxing atmosphere. I was cold during the whole session. The massage therapists did not speak any English so I could not communicate that I was cold. Additionally, they do one type of massage without any variation if needed. Do you want a relaxing massage? Too bad, youre getting deep tissue. I had a couple surgical sites that I did not want touched but was unable to tell them (due to language) that they were hurting me. I recommend spending the extra money to go someplace else.

Feeling uncomfortable and gross after using my Groupon couples massage. The men were very very rough and at times laid down too much pressure. Towels used were rough and scratchy. I had to keep telling them man “you don’t need to go up that high” and “I don’t need that part massaged.” I was not referring to my arms or legs….Afterwards they demanded “TIP” and used his hand as a signal when we left. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.Experienced extreme pain in my lower back the next day and brushing/swelling from the roughness.

I dont know how this place is related to massage tao but the is were massage tao sent me when they couldnt do my couples massage. There is also a language barrier here too. The reservation system is done on a note pad and text message. The room the put you in is not very romantic. Its small with a clip on lamp in the corner. The bars on the ceiling are installed with a junky 2×4s and zip ties. The masseuse kept leaving to talk to someone outside.

First off, let me tell you that if you visit them during COVID (or any time), beware that they obviously don’t change the sheets after each client. Take a sheet or consider yourself contaminated after visiting there. I bought a 45min massage, but after 20 min she told me I have to leave as they have another client who booked at 2 pm and instead next time they will give me more massage! Even during that 20 min, she kept leaving room several times, and when she was there actually massaging, it was mostly just rubbing oil on my back, not a good massage. Besides, no one there speaks a word of English (the receptionist barely speaks a few words to just greet you), so you are mostly unable to communicate any special requests or customization to them. Also, none of them is certified or has been professionally trained. The receptionist had a bad attitude too. I do not recommend this place at all. I rather pay a few bucks more and get a professional massage from a respected place that practices good hygiene, respect the customer, and has trained masseuses.

Where do I start…my fiancé bought a couples massage on Groupon and the only number to contact the business was via text. My fiancé tried that- 3 days go by with only 1 response and no appointment. I text asking for another number to call and get a response. We’re told we can do a 330 appointment on said date.We show up at the day/time given to us and the front desk woman did not actually book us. Instead she asks us to hang around for an hour. Mind you we drove 45 minutes to get here so we were not pleased. Thankfully there’s a great billiards bar nearby we went to to kill some time!An hour later we get seen for the massage and I’d give the actual massage 5/10. The massage felt more like applying pressure to the back and not much else. The hot stones were nice but I wouldn’t really call it a deep tissue massage. As we were leaving we were going to give a tip we felt was fair based on the service and experience and we were pressured into giving a bigger tip more than double. We will not be coming back and we do not recommend.

We used a groupon and during check in were told we must tip on the full amount, something we are both well aware of from years in the service industry. I know it is possible that others dont realize this, but it was an uncomfortable way to start our experience. The massages also left much to be desired.

Purchased a Groupon for a couples massage. The massages were good except the therapists talked to each other more than I would expect. I expected to tip on the full price of the services at 20 percent, however when checking out, the therapists stood at the front counter and told me how much we had to tip. Since there was a language barrier I was trying to explain I wanted to tip $x which was 20% of the prices posted on the wall for a couples massage. They said, no, minimum is $40 for each massage. I had to tip what equated to 40%. It was awkward and uncomfortable.

This place is horrible. My friend came in for a one hour massage. That only lasted 20 minutes because of inappropriate touching and a horrible experience. I paid for a massage and they wanted me to tip on a 20 minute massage that went horribly wrong.

Had a couples massage last night and Ken was wonderful! They are very COVID-19 safe, require masks and take your temp when coming in. Yes, there is a bit of a language barrier so I would suggest texting instead of calling for apts. I had hot stones which was wonderful and he did a warm towel as well which was a nice treat to wipe off the oils. The actual place is pretty basic, not a lot of frills, but it is clean and they do a great job. Also, when your eyes are closed during a massage what does the look of the place even matter? I read a few negative comments that it was a light back rub, at least with Ken that was not the case-he really dug in which was wonderful.

The walls are thin, they dont play music to relax you. They talked the whole time to eachother as we did a couples massage. She never massaged me just elbowed my body and patted my head roughly. I asked 5 times not to do it so roughly but she didnt listen. Then they put hot stones on my back and they burned me. Usually youre supposed to massage the body with the hot stones but she just put them on my back to watch me sizzle i guess. Afterwards as I was leaving she told me i am required to tip 20% gratuity. What a horrible experience.

I went to Discount Tire and had some time to fill waiting for my car. A1 cottage massage is just north, so I stopped by to see if there was an opening. They did and took me right away. The business is very clean and follows all Covid protocol. Livia was my massage therapist and was very professional, working on all of my areas of concern. She asked how I was sleeping at night and I told her that I had broken periods of sleep and not sleeping well. She offered me a Chinese supplement to use at night to help me sleep better. The supplement worked great! I will be back in the future.If you are in need of a deep tissue massage I would recommend taking the time to stop by A1 Cottage Massage!

Let me start by saying my fiancé and I felt pretty relaxed after leaving here. It started when we walked in and they couldn’t even speak enough English to tell us to pull out our Groupon for them to scan. Then they pulled out a sheet of paper that was google translated to say “payment does not include tip” Also they make you pay before the massage, not after like usual. Anyway, we have it a shot and went into the room where the sheets they used were almost see-through (which kinda defeats the purpose in a way) when the ladies walked in to massage us they again told us that the purchase does not include tip and we will tip after the massage is over at the register again (after we already paid) We just agreed and went through the massage like normal. They didn’t have any lotion right next to them. She had to go on the other side of the other bed every time she needed more lotion. Halfway through the massage she asked if we wanted hot stones and we said yes and she left the room for like 5 minutes before returning with them (which they were included in what we bought anyway) at the end they told to get dressed and we went outside and they were all surrounded by the counter just waiting for us to come tip them (very strange). It felt like they were begging for a tip. There were no certifications or anything that are usually visible on the wall, telling us they went through some type of training. When we told how much we wanted to tip they insisted we had to tip $20 each that it was required. I insisted that what I had said was all I wanted to do and they left disappointedly to the next client. The lady who was checking us out took my card and charged it for the tip and then canceled it telling me “there’s no money on card” so then I used my fiancé’s knowing well there was plenty on my card. I think she canceled it on her end. It was a very sketchy situation and just be careful with this place.

Overall this place is pretty good and affordable, however I did feel the massage was much more focused on one side rather then the whole back. They are very demanding that the tip is 20%.

I just walked out of the best massage of my life. Wow! I went to Discount Tire, while I was waiting for my car, decided to see if they had an opening for a walk in, and they took me right in. So glad I found this place, I will DEFINITELY be back! The building is nothing fancy like some of the trendy massage places I have been to, but I will take a skilled, gifted masseuse over a fancy building ANY day! Thank you!

I’ve had a lot of massages in my lifetime and this was by far the weirdest. Typically when face down the masseuse uncovers only the area being worked. Well Livia did not, she put oil on and worked it through my entire body and left the sheet off for the full hour. I heard giggles and I looked and the door was opened. I’m not very modest but there I was butt naked with the door open. The massage was ok at best. I won’t be back.

Being a Massage therapist myself, I have yet to find somebody that understands my body as well as Lulu. She makes you aware of the importance of keeping the meridians open, to unblock all the chi in your body, I have learned so much from her, and have learned so much more about my body!!! I feel amazing after I leave, sometimes its not the most comfortable I must say, but you have to go through pain to get healed. She also completely transferred my mother into a whole new person. My mom lost 60 lb and has never felt so much better in her life. Lulu can work magic, if you can handle a little pain with comfort.

I wasted my time with physical therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic for years and after 2 sessions with lulu and livia I am not in chronic pain and returned a lot of my movement. They are professional and it matters not if you are clothed or unclothed but it matters more if you can be less tense or more relaxed to get the most of deep tissue massage. The ladies are friendly and will work on a specific ache in your lower back or shoulder if you point to it. I have paid 2-3 times more for massage therapy else where and not had the same level of pain relief. I am noticing after my 5th visit that I feel more energized, work longer and sleep better with less overall pain throughout my body.Updated-. It has been over a year of going to livia for my sports/work related injuries and I just wish that I had met her earlier in life. She has been using hong hoa oil on my sore muscle regions and is my go to topical when away on business. I am at that age in life where old injuries can resurface and new ones could be debilitating but with livias help I am not needing opiate pain meds or having lengthy down time. Use google translate with english and chinese and dont forget to drink more water after deep tissue.

I specifically wanted a deep tissue massage and all she pretty much did for almost the entire massage was use her forearm to go up and down my back ...I feel like I wasted 66.00 ...60 for 1 hr and I left 6 in tip ...I was very sore from working 7 days in a row and did not feel any better when I left here
