The massage was great. However, the booking or scheduling was terrible. I had asked for a 90 minute massage. I was told they only did 100 minutes. I asked for that. I then said I’d call back to schedule another massage for my daughter. I wasn’t able to schedule the second massage. Instead they only booked me for a 50 minute massage when I had specifically asked for 100 minutes. Very disappointing.

This review is designed for potential massage students. I graduated from center for massage last year. The education provided here was solid, and the teachers were great. There was a good deal of confrontation with the administration, which created a general environment that seemed to lack support and compassion. If you are looking for a more spiritual, self exploration massage journey, this may not be the school for you. However, like I said in the beginning, the education was solid and my massage skills coming out of school are great. Just please consider your options and evaluate your expectations before choosing any massage school. Best of luck

Incredible experience from start to finish! Randi was extremely helpful and provided amazing customer service. She helped dig into exactly what was going on with my lower back and helped set up the right appointment for me. My therapist Zosia was AMAZING. She provided one of the best massages I’ve ever had, targeting the areas I was struggling with, checking in with me when needed, and providing an overall 5-star experience. Would recommend this company and these therapists to anyone interested! I will be back! Thank you both!

The management of the school concerning booking for my massage was difficult to say the least. It was unorganized and frustrating. The massage was wonderful once I got past the front desk. I will not be back because of mismanaged booking issues. I hope they can get the scheduling issue cleaned up. I am updating one thing here. To show just how unorganized they are they did not even know I have been a client there. Sad! I have records of paying them, I can tell you the therapists name. I have since looked at other reviews and I might suggest you look at your scheduling practices. Just saying! I wish your business success and hoped my review could be a wake up call.

I was able to call and get the discounted intro price instead of using Groupon. This made the scheduling process much more convenient and the services were explained in detail. The massage Therapist I had was Luke, he did a fantastic job and I will definitely be returning. My mother and her husband went back today and had the student massage, which is a little cheaper, and they both had a great experience. We would absolutely recommend visiting this location for any type of massage you need.

Best kept secret for great massages in Asheville. Ive been to the Center for Massage several times and always had a terrific massage. You cant beat the price - as massages are given by carefully trained students at the affiliated massage school. My understanding is they have the highest pass rate in the state for the massage boards and it shows in their skills. Great experience, great value. Ill be back every time Im in Asheville

I called Wednesday and asked to make an appointment with a graduate student on Thursday since their website lists Thursdays as graduate student massage days and I have some muscle issues that require someone with a little more experience to work on me. I was immediately informed there was a 10:00 am opening the following day but that was the only one available. I booked the appointment and showed up early (as requested) to fill out paperwork. When I went to prepay for the session the price was lower so I confirmed I had a graduate student 50 minute massage scheduled and that was NOT the case. No one raised their voice to me or got angry. I was upset because the man incorrectly booked my appointment by neglecting to tell me there were no graduate students at that time and then tried to tell ME I misinterpreted what was said during our two minute phone call. I dont have health insurance. I cant afford it. I cant afford to go to a fancy massage place. I called this center for massage via recommendation and am extremely disappointed. I woke up excited to start my day and be relieved of some pain within a few hours. Now Im still in pain and wasted my morning of my only day off work driving around town. Thanks for literally nothing.

Been going here for years. $30 for a 50 minute student massage. The massages you receive a varied in terms of style and experience, but Ive never thought the $30 wasnt well spent. The students progress through the course of the 6-week program. The folks who run the place are super nice, all in all i highly recommend it.

I will forever LOVE Asheville Center for Massage!! As a graduate, I feel like part of the family and have since day one! Everyone will always make you feel right at home and will do everything they can to keep a smile on your face, both as a customer and a student. Prices are quite affordable and walk-ins are always welcome. 🖤🖤🖤

I researched different schools and Center for Massage was ultimately the best choice for me, not only was it like having extended family but, it is a place of knowledge, self growth and healing. I received the best possible education without it breaking the bank and it encompasses so many different modalities that you truly get a complete holistic background in massage and beyond!Thank you again Center for Massage for setting me on the right course!💆‍♀️❤️🧘‍♀️💆‍♂️Stephanie LMBT 14525 Center for Massage graduate 2014

I felt so great to get a professional massage at the Center. The clinic was so welcoming and answered all my questions and the price was fantastic compared to other Asheville options. My therapist - Lisa - combined Cranio technique with a 90 minute massage. Honestly, I fell asleep it was so relaxing! I strongly recommend this place and I also leaned they have couples massage.

Pampering myself with a good massage is something I always wanted to do myself to relax and de-stress after a long weekend. I asked around from my colleagues a friend and they pointed me to this direction.I went for the Professional massage and it was all worth it. I chose the $60 option for an hour. I never regretted it since I felt good after. I could tell that lot of patients went home a different person. The hands are steady and pressure is just perfect. I asked the masseuse the type of massage she applied and it turned out to be Swedish. Highly recommended if you want to relax your tired muscles.

This school is an absolute joke. I paid $320 for a 2 day Continuing Ed course on lymphatic drainage that was cut short both days. The instructor, Dianna Lee, was a total kook; she lacks qualifications to be instructing anything related to anatomy & physiology; particularly the lymphatic system, which she admittedly does not understand! Disorganized & non-academic; just hours upon hours of personal anecdotes. It seems her goal is to spread anti-vax anti-science & pseudoscience quackery, nothing actually legitimate or useful. She tried to sell the entire class an unrelated product called LifeWave Patch. Everything about this teacher & this class was an embarrassing and inappropriate mess. When I initially registered for the course I received multiple emails from 3 different employees of the school with conflicting information. Afterwards, when I reported negative feedback & disappointment, I received zero response. This institution clearly does not care nor value education. I would recommend steering clear of this school if you seek professionalism. You will not find it here. Dont waste your money!

The students/grads are well trained and attentive. Been a few times and used to doing 50 minutes or 100 minutes. Saw through the app that there were openings and called to set up an appt for “the longer time and w/ whichever student available..” Was told 90 minutes and never told a price over the phone. Thought it was weird they didn’t say 100 min but didn’t worry over it.The people at the desk are usually very nice but today they weren’t top game (allowing me to stand around after my massage while I guess a teacher was chatting up with them, I thought he was a customer) and then he abruptly leaves and the girl behind the desk just stares at me and I had to awkwardly approach her first about checking out and she seemed slightly rude compared to the usual cheerful and eager to help staff... After massages you rate/critic your massage on paper and I thought I was asked if I wanted to do that but instead was asked to tip and there wasn’t any reviewing needed, which I also thought was weird... (—they don’t take tips on students and not to mention the “pro” who was there today wasn’t nearly as attentive in a few ways as the students are, so I was prepared to give my evaluation on her)Then I was shocked with how expensive it was this time around & just assumed maybe their system was changing... Decided later to call to inquire about why it was how much I paid; the guy over the phone was overly defensive (as if this happens a lot and expecting me to argue) and just very repetitive about pricing. I told him I wasn’t mad & was very polite, just wanted to understand why it was so expensive! It seems like this is a recurring problem for them and it can simply be avoided by stating what your getting and for what price, b/c had I known prior how much it would have been, I would have rescheduled to a diff time/price to better accommodate my needs... But maybe they know people will do that and thus not mention what you’re signing up for? Regardless, it’s a wonderful place for massages; just confirm what you’re actually getting to avoid being misled.

Gia was amazing! Better put, she was healing. Ive had a week of agonizing chronic pain, and finding effective alternatives to meds is vital. Gia was mindful of my condition, temperature, pressure, etc. And we had a delightful conversation. Heres the objective proof: when I arrived, I couldnt bend to the water cooler. When I left, I could touch my toes. Ive always had great experiences here with every level of therapist, And I know I will in the future.

If you are considering getting a massage here dont the receptionist is rude and unprofessional and she may be the owner. If you have friends that go to this school and you want to support them beware of getting treated poorly, I requested my friend and since she wasnt available I told them I would wait until a later date when she was available I was told that Im not the type of client they are looking for? What does that mean? I recommend you find another business that offer the same services and save yourself the headache that this company will most likely give you.

The Center for Massage & Natural Health has been a life changing institution for me over this past year. In 6 months time I developed a variety of holistic skills deeply valuable to my practice as a licensed massage therapist and equally valuable in my own personal evolution. Students receive a thorough education with some of the best instructors in the WNC area and upon graduation inherit a network of practitioners and ongoing support from the school. Professional massage at the school clinic hosts a variety of modalities and clinical therapies, from Deep Tissue massage to relaxing with Swedish, or CranioSomatic work; as well as Reflexology, Cupping and Hot Stone Therapy. Additionally, the center offers student and graduate massage for minimal fees from some of the best trained soon-to-be massage professionals.

Drove 2 1/2 hrs to Asheville for a fun day but they didn’t call to tell us they were canceling our appointments until I called them to make sure I had everything right cause it said online they were closed Sundays. Very rude they didn’t try and help us get another appointment or anything just rude!Update. I have now received a voicemail and the woman working at the front desk lied and said I hung up on her mid sentence. I asked if there were any other appointments and did not hang up on her untill she said she couldn’t do anything. She had all morning to call me and did not then went on to lie to cover her tracks. It’s not the company, it’s the front desk staff that’s the problem.I am disappointed and disgusted at this. The owner reached out and I appreciate that. He needs to take a good look at who he is hiring as front desk staff. As they are the face of the company.

They overwhelm and overwork their students by making them do 10 hour clinic days. The students don’t get an full hour for lunch instead the may get 20-40 minutes. I don’t think this complies with certain rules and regulations of Amta or bmbt.

This is Ashevilles best kept secret, the student clinic. Very positive environment, the owners and students all very truly care about what they are doing, and are getting the best education vicariously through their loyal clients. Professional treatments are top notch, of course. Lovely environment, great location, UNBEATABLE
