Bar tender will charge you double for drinks if they feel like your not pay attention. Then when called out about it, they will call security to put you out instead of working out the situation.

Drinks are awful. They could not even get a modelo right. Do not come here.

If youre looking for a funfill spot this is definitely where you need to be just dont go too early, were visiting N.C and my friends and i went there, heeey I have no regrets. First the security team at the entrance was professional but friendly, the bartenders and other staffs are nice no need to mention the music and hot girls. No fuss, No worries everyone was like family both customers and staff. My experience was a (10 STARS).

We came here for my bachelorette and it was perfect! We came in around 9pm and were the only ones there for almost 2 hours (because 9 is early hahahah). But we loved it because we had the dance floor to ourselves and the DJ played some songs we wanted (s/o to him for finding me a t swift song). He played nothing but straight bangers the whole night. Had us worn out for sure lol.It was still super fun when people started rolling in. The vibe was definitely what we were looking for.

Wow this place was lit! I had no idea what to expect in Asheville but somehow ended up here with a big group for a wedding afterparty. The DJ played bangers all night long, drinks reasonably priced, and energetic crowd with enough space to dance.

Literally SO much fun! Definitely go here if youre looking for good music, cheap drinks, and lots of fun. We were celebrating a Bachelorette, and so many people kept celebrating with us and buying the bride drinks. There were many brides there and we all just danced the night away together!

I came to the club on Friday December 10th and had an incredible time. Im from Manhattan and had never been to North Carolina. The music was amazing. The bouncers and bartenders very friendly and I felt welcome and at home 100%. I would DEFINITELY recommend this spot to anyone.

My friends and I always have a great time at room 9, the security is on point and the DJ knows how to read the crowd. The bathrooms are NASTY though and the lady bartender changed the prices of my drinks all night, the worst whiskey sour I have ever had. But either way every time I come here its a good time

(Lilly)the bartender has the audacity to keep kicking me and my brother out every other weekend the thing is we’ve never done nothing at that establishment she was drunk at a bar downtown at another club banks ave … and we had little words with a bartender their that I guess is her friend. Although we can still go to banks ave she continues to kick us out sometimes at room nine and it’s making me feel like she’s singling us out or has a problem with our color we never get into anything at room nine or have but yet we get kicked out sometimes when LILLY SEES US ….

The music was okay, but thats pretty much it as far as a nightclub. The staff are rude and violating, Ive been here twice and theyve been rude every night. Ive witnessed fights in the mens bathrooms, double-charged on drinks, and unwanted physical contact from security. The other people in there have good charisma and like to hang out with you tho, so theyre cool. Room nine, get out of my town.

Honestly they deserve no stars, me and a friend went last night. We went to the restroom and the guard outside of the bathroom grabs my friend an said that she was underage drinking in the bathroom. ( which was not true). An all of the guards surrounded us like we were criminals and told us to get out. I’m sorry but no man should aggressively grab a female especially if he has no proof she dang. The ladies working the bar skipped me 3 times after standing there for 12 mins. An don’t get me started on the trash music. All they played was 2018 throwbacks. Roomnine is by far the WORST club in NC.

Place is fun, but we had one problem. We paid several hundred dollars for bottle service and had just one song request: Set It Off by Boosie. Never played it. I did have a blast and will be back though.

Being a native of Asheville I have seen a lot of spots come and go. This however has always been my favorite spot downtown. They are strict on dress-code which I find is a good thing. The drinks music and staff are the best, the staff always go above and beyond expectation to make your visit the most entertaining and enjoyable. A+++

We showed up and showed out for my nephew and big Brothers B-Day bash. Management was great the spot was lit... Love the vibe.. The only problem i had was after going VIP with the addition of buying about 3 more bottles my only request was to hear Boosie Set it Off and was denied by the DJ. If a person came into my establishment and spent $700 plus in just a few hours why would i deny him that 1 request. Even if i have to edit my play list. We were going to make it a 2 day event but went elsewhere because we were feeling some type of way. Im from the Sipp so thats how we get down... Love all kind of music so make me feel like im at home... ALL FACTS NO CAP!!!!! LOU was in the building.....

Fun spot with good music; but if you’re in a group of girls it isn’t worth it. Unless you want no less than 5 guys to hit on you even when you say “no thank you.” They’ll stay and linger the entire night.

The music, drinks, and all staff encounters my group had were awful. I have never had a worse experience by any other club that Ive been to.Under no circumstances should you give this place a try.

Enployees are unprofessional rude and racist. Floors are extremely sticky and disgusting. I was banned after a lady spit in my face and i was forcefully pushed out the club by a bouncer. Uncalled for. The human toy solider security guard was disrespectful to the ultimate max. Drinks are watered down and over priced. Do better. The club needs to do better to succeed. Wouldnt even recommend this club to anyone. Not even the queen of England if she were to ask about it. Too bad we dont get the option to rate in negative stars. Smh

Sticky floors and just an awkward layout. Why is there only one dancer? Who planned the layout of this place?? Music was on fire tho!

Despite the occasional wannabe thug or tough guy. This is a great place to be. They usually play a variety of music on Thurday/college nights and mostly popular hip hop and pop songs on Friday and Saturday. The VIP booths are a little out of place and tacky but it is a nice representation of what an actual Miami/Vegas nightclub should be.

Today around 11:45 (7/25/21) we had a gross encounter with the bouncer. The bouncer asked my girlfriend to show him her social media to be allowed in. She said she was uncomfortable and didnt have any social media with her name/face on it, but he insisted. (He didnt ask anyone else for this verification).She pulled up a private Twitter account and he asked to see her phone. She said no. He asked to see her Instagram, she said no. He began scrolling through her private social media feed. Asked for her number, she said no.He then goes is this weird btw. Duh. That was really unacceptable for a bouncer to request such private details about a female customer as a means of granting access to the club.

Great place to hangout with your friends and get your groove on. I hear a group of good looking, successful, and funny young men will be there on 1/27!

The club it’s self is okay i have a pretty good time there but the part owner Tyler seems to always pick and choose who to let in. Every time I come with my guy friend (who is Mexican) he always finds a reason why he can’t come in and this happens every single time

Fun and energetic, good music and fun lighting with fog machines. A $10 cover charge is expensive though (especially when Twisted Laurel next door is free on Saturday nights). The club is a little odd for downtown asheville - its just got more of a Miami/Vegas/LA, etc..type of vibe to it, so feels a little out of place for Asheville. The bathrooms are really dirty and it smells like weed throughout the entire club. My biggest issue is it seems that Ashevilles rudest people go to that club. Ive lived in Asheville for years and have always found the people to be so friendly...not at Room Nine!

Lots of price gouging going on here. we were told one price for a table in advance ($150), paid it, sat down and then told the bottle of liquor was no longer included and that it was an additional $180, we refused to pay it, so we no longer could sit at the table and had to move. the door price is advertised as free for ladies before 11pm, and $5 after, and $10 for men, door guy tells us those prices, cashier tells us $10 each, later on in the night I saw them charging $15 a person. an additional $2 for a membership card that I paid for about 8 months ago, but since I didnt have the card I had to buy another one. and another $2 to check my jacket. coronas were $5 a piece, not sure about rest of pricing, but Im sure if they thought I was wasted enough, they would inflate those prices too. By the end of the night, only 1 of 4 womens restrooms was in working order and no paper towels. Multiple people puking in there throughout the night that werent kicked out.

Dont waste your time or money

Overall bad music with untrained DJs. Staff is a mix of being polite but also being rude. All in all have low expectations and you wont be disappointed.

Very trashy, empty, people were grinding on each other and I left after 5 minutes. If you are looking for a fun place with good music and normal people, Room Nine is not a place for you!

A friend came from out of town and we decided to go bar hopping and I thoroughly enjoyed this place my girlfriend and I dance the night away and my friend had a great time it was a very diverse crowd and everybody was enjoying themselves Ill definitely go again.

Small, but got in for free with a university pass and had a great time. DJ was great, place was nice, and the bar was covered in different selections. Recommend for any clubber.

This place is dead it’s not worth the money. There are much better clubs in the area and the security goes over the limit, they went through my friends phone to “verify” she was 21 even though she had a valid id.

Ill give it a 2 because it has potential to be a good club but the chick they had DJing tonight had the music attention span of a 2 year old and only played songs for 30 secs max before she moved on to the next crappy song that no one knew how to dance to. Pick a better DJ next time!!

Absolutely love this place. The staff are very friendly and eager to serve you. One of the best places to visit in the area!

This is a pretty decent hangout spot on the weekends... in terms of music it can be pretty hit or miss depending on who the DJ is for the night.

Employees are aggressive, rude, and straight up unprofessional. Not to mention the place is trash. Don’t waste your time.
