Cloud 9 Smoke, Vape, & Hookah Co. - Athens (Broad Street)

After gambling with gas station products and shoddy smoke shops I found this place and never go anywhere else. They only carry quality products. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection is unrivaled in Athens.

After months of shopping, I confidently say I will NO longer be returning to Cloud 9. Usually, I have no issues with products or staff, but for some reason, this specific employee, Wesley, is beyond MISERABLE. You can tell he’s a Pineapple Express enthusiast because he couldn’t care less about this establishment, but just about looking like the next Kevin Corrigan! This child constantly huffs and scoffs over simple questions, as if I am some sort of idiot, as if it isn’t his JOB to INFORM me, almost as if i am wasting his time!! I have been ignored by this young man, skipped over, and downright disrespected by this kid all because i’m “older” and he can’t be bothered to “teach new things” because i simply wouldn’t “understand”.Well, until Cloud 9 can teach their employees some respect, I’ll be teaching myself about Xhale City’s selection!

Everytime i enter the business , im immediately greated with friendly hellos and how can i help. The staff are all very polite , and knowledgeable of there stock. Ive been to many vape/smoke shops across the state and its easy to enter one and not be greeted or assisted many of the workers assume you know what your looking for or they are simply understaffed. Thats not the case with Cloud 9 , if your in the downtown Athens area and partake in vape, tobacco etc use i would stop by , they have a good slection of disposable nic vapes and much more. My particular go to disposable nic devicen kadobar is always in stock.

Spent hundreds of dollars here with the same two employees. They have a good selection and the employees know a decent bit. Got tired of buying faulty products that didnt work straight out of the packaging and wasting my money over and over. The manager wouldnt work with me at all the one time I tried to talk with him about it. The shop I use now gives me free product to test and will work with you if something is wrong.

This is a really decent smoke shop. All the employees are good with service and getting you in and out quickly, but one employee named Taylor always had my back when I go in. He had plenty of recommendations and seemed to have a lot of people experience. Wish to see him move up as I visit time and time a again.

Mendo helped me to assist my cat who has separation anxiety . I have always experienced good customer service whenever I visit the downtown Athens store and appreciate what the products do for me.

I was having to drive to Auburn to find a particular vape that my husband buys once a week, and I just so happened to be in the area and stopped by to take a look, and they actually had what he wanted and then some that he didnt know he wanted. I stop by this place, at most, once every eight weeks and yet, somehow, they remember my order and my name. Not only that, the workers arent annoying which makes the minute and a half I spend in there quick, smooth, and enjoyable. Im not entirely sure how theyve managed to only hire people who are straight up, personable, kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and not socially inept, but whatever it is, theyre coming correct. I suppose this would equate to why Im a regular.

The coolest staff and best selection in Athens

Don’t typically give 1 star unless I’ve had repeated negative experiences. With that being said I came into the store Friday afternoon and their debit reader was down, which happens and was a little irritating. My main issue was with the fact that I called this establishment before I came on Saturday and was quoted a price on some items but when I actually took the time to go up there the price was almost doubled! I told the gentleman working that I had previously called and was given a complete different price and all he had to say was “that’s above my pay grade” I then laid my items on the counter and told him I would give my money somewhere else. Kind of sad actually because they are probably the cleanest and widest selection in Athens.Will update status if I ever go back in there.

Pretty shady business tactics. Will try to trick you out of money, different employees will tell you different prices, convince you to buy things you don’t want/need, and if you walk in knowing what you’re looking for and talking about they talk down to you. Manager was incredibly rude, young girl working was very misinformed. Not to mention everything is priced much higher than any of the other 3/4 smoke shops in Athens. Avoid the bad service and incredible price gouges, go literally anywhere else.Edited to add: at NO POINT did anyone ID me or my friend while purchasing water pipes. 🙃

My husband and I went to this shop on a whim right before closing time. I was really impressed with Doyles ability to help us find what we wanted. We will definitely be back!On an unfortunate side note the titanium concentrate nail that we got didnt end up properly fitting our current piece, but that wasnt anyones fault but ours as we dont know the size of our piece. It does fit okay, but it unfortunately wobbles which makes it difficult to use properly. Heres to hoping we can eventually find the right size.

First visit to cloud 9 Jay at the Athens downtown location was super helpful in every way. He was knowledgeable in what I was looking for. Definitely plan on returning when in the area.

Cloud 9 is my go to spot in Athens. Nowhere else in the city treats me as good as they do. I went in to get some extra coils for the new Nord Pro, and Taylor was the best. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to ensure me that he would do his best to get them in stock. He took his time to explain all my options and help me find the best disposable to fill my needs. Thanks to his help, my new SWFT will help get me through until my coils arrive. Cloud 9 is a definite must visit for everybody in Athens.

Won’t do returns or refunds for unused products bought because of poorly given advice on products. Should either make return policy more clear or allow them. Customers’ money should not be wasted because of poor advice.

This place ROCKS! I recently purchased a high quality device from these guys a month ago, I love it(Orion Lost Vape)! Yesterday it quit firing for me and I was devastated 😔 I reached out for a copy of the receipt assuming I’d have to deal solely with the manufacturer, which is usually what most places would say,.... NOPE! Thankfully I was dealing with Cloud 9 because not only did “Alex” while on the phone help troubleshoot the issue but also, while there to pick up receipt for warranty, was able to FIX MY VAPE(I had accidentally purchased the wrong cartridge for the device)!🙄☺️Super friendly, super helpful, & saved me $$$$ for a new device(I LOVE the Orion Lost Vape)& I am now a loyal customer always of Cloud 9 on Broad Street! ❤️

The reason I did this review is for 2 rare things I see. First the general manager or district manager answered all reviews; good, bad or indifferent and Second the manager Doyle got a ton of compliments as well as the rest of the staff. I would give this place three stars, maybe four for the effort management originally put into the place, but honestly there are so many things keeping it from being a good enough vape shop to recommend. The new wave of staff are not very experienced at all and could not recommend you anything other than what would help fill their commission check. Knowing your product is a big part of selling it, and they fall short in both regards. Much of the vape hardware are clones, and they wont tell you that upfront. Juice is all off brands sold at a premium price to those who dont know any better.Their glass selection is alright, but the quality often does not justify the price tag. Much of it comes down to how they present themselves, which while being more professional than other shops of their kind, is still lacking and mostly based in deception.

Nothing but inexperienced CLOWNS work here. One of the worst shops in town. Sure they have seemingly appealing chinese glass, but definitely overcharge for almost everything.

I went there to get a pen battery and dude upsold to a $50 battery, assuring me there was virtually no chance my cartridge wouldnt fit. Well it didnt and now Im out $50. Do not listen to these guys. I will never step foot into this or any cloud 9 store again. See ya.

DO NOT buy disposable vapes, specifically the POPS from this store. They are fake POPS. No authentication code on box. No taste. You would have to have a real one in your hand to be able to tell the difference. People come to these stores in hope that these would be the last places you would have to worry about this, but obviously not.

Best smoke shop/vape store i have ever been to honestly. most stores cant balance the quality of both vapes and glass evenly, but this store is truly an all in one. amazing selection of american and heady glass, and tons of great vape flavors + mods to boot. plus, the workers there are incredibly imformative and nice. this is now my favorite shop!
