Cool place...Definitely check out this hidden gem ( atleast to me). Great food and good drinks, a live band and karaoke on Tuesdays. Service and attentiveness on point, Thus I heard they even hold dance classes. Most definitely will visit again.

Awesome spot! Mature crowd. Nice in of oldies rnb, blues, line dances. Everyone was dressed and even i say DRESSED to the tee!!! Food was good. We went for dinner but There was a cover charge to get in $10. We didnt realize it was a night club lol. So worth itThe vibes were lit and no youngsters causing drama or doing to much. Djs were great

Ms.Black was our server and we had an amazing time. Food, drinks, and especially music were perfect. Will definitely return!!

Ikel spent his 21st birthday here at backstage ,along with his parents . Our server was Topanga, and she was amazing!!! Loved how she made our son birthday experience the best. Remember this moment for years to come Backstage and Topanga owes us nothing!!

I came in on Tuesday night for Tacos and comedy! I had the salmon nachos, turkey sliders, and a couple of $2 margaritas! Things really turned up at about 8:30PM and I had a great time! The headliner, Storhm Artiste, had me rolling on the floor!!

Birthday celebration 🎉 started at 6p. decorations done at ~8:30 pm, not so friendly security upon arrival. Not greeted but given orders as in military. Initially felt unwelcome even though I was told they usually had an older crowd. Our waitress was excellent she took great care of a group of about 25. I thought she should of had help. thats another story....the security guards who came on later were a lot better. Friendly and courteous !¡!

Community, specifically ladies, beware. My daughter and were so excited about last night. Havent been out in almost a year and just wanted a release and good time. My daughter is always outside on the patio and she just lets me dance because and I truly looked forward to leaving it all on the floor. She sat outside and I went in to buy us a drink since there was no sign of bartender outside. Met sweet waitress, she took my order the register inside; however, when it was time to pay, I realized I had left my debit card the car. I asked the waitress to give me a moment to run and get my card. Keep in mind, I never received a drink, and more importantly, the bartender never submitted so bartender never started making making drinks for me. When I left the building to go to my car, I passed security right outside the door and let her know I was only going to my car to get my debit card and she smiled and I walked on. In seconds, their security person came out with super volatile energy asking where was I going. I explained that I was going to my car to get by debit card to pay for my drinks. He blocked me from moving. When I went to open the car door to prove I was only getting my card, he stood in front of me and was so aggressive, it triggered to tears. I couldnt understand such aggression for something so simple. I hadnt received a drink, so what was the crime here. How could you think I was stealing when I never received a drink. When I finally agreed go come back in to talk to the owner, he basically told me it was protocol. Total nonsense. He had a counsel of men standing alongside him to speak to me like he was in danger, as oppose to making me feel safe. Even though a but which cancels out an apology for me. I walked feeling totally deflated about this beautiful nigh I had imagined for me and my daughter. I walked a way in tears thinking about how the owner and the men that worked in his employment treated me. I have been working on healing and not always walking in my masculine energy, but look at what my brothers do. Leaving you feeling unsafe and unprotected and even transferring energy from their experiences with other people on me. Not only that, it was illegal. I never received a drink, so how are you treating like a thief. I try to support my people at every turn, but this place will never receive another cent from me. Security, your uniform is not passage to mistreat people. The security that was primarily responsible definitely needed some inner child healing. If you are totally desensitized go sit down. Train these misfits on reading the room, because if you dont, you are going to loose more than few dollars which normal in your line of business, but owner get yourself a lawyer, because you are going to end up with lawsuit. Last, my daughter witnessed the entire thing, and just imagine that your mom went to get a drink and now you see her in a parking lot be cornered and harassed like a criminal even though you never gave you one drink. I am in tears just thinking about her having to change roles with me to keep me calm. I cant tell you what to do, just want you to be able to make in informed decision.

An absolute gem on the south side! Their wings are hands down the best Ive ever had – crispy, flavorful, and always cooked to perfection. But my favorite night is their $2 tacos and $2 drinks paired with a fantastic comedy show. Its an unbeatable combination of delicious food, great drinks, , old school jams, and top-notch entertainment. Whether youre looking for a casual night out or a fun place to unwind, Backstage Atlanta never disappoints. Highly recommend!

It’s always a good vibe when I come to backstage!Juicy, one of the servers up there, she always make sure I am comfortable and happy! She is so sweet and welcoming making my experience the best one. So if you ever go, ask for Juicy!Me and my family and friends went up there for my mom birthday and we had a great time.

We were there to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. Listen, we had a time that night! Back stage don’t owe us nothing. From the music, food, the picture man, the drinks, awe man I can go on and on. Just know I will be visiting again the next time I’m in the A-T-L!

I havent been to this place in many years. I came a bit early (around 7pm). I went directly to the bar. There was only 1 other guy at the bar. I joked with the bartender that they had saved seats at the bar. She disappeared around the back. NOTHING I dislike more than bad service! I set my timer to see how long it would take - this was after waiting about 5 minutes. 2 bartenders were a few feet from me talking. After 6 minutes I waved my arms and asked whats going on? A bartender came over and served. I mentioned I would be ordering food after I had another drink. My first drink and most of my water was gone and I sat again looking around. Bartender finally showed up again and gave me another drink and I went ahead and ordered food.The food was EXCELLENT! Beautifully plated and delicious.My drink and water was totally empty. The other bartender cleared my plate and I sat again this time for more than 7 minutes. They came close and I mentioned I got my plate cleared but didnt get a refill. When asked what I wanted - I said good service!As I was drinking my drink and enjoying looking at a few folks on the dance floor. My bartender - without being asked put a check in front of me. I was TOTALLY annoyed because I had no intention to leave anytime soon. But I paid the bill and left. Not a thank you dog, thanks for coming in. Bye. Nothing!I left and went to the bar at Grown Folks and was greeted and served within a minute of seating down.Back stage DO BETTER!Customer service is a thing.

I came here with my mom Saturday night, looking to have a good time. We got in, I paid for a hookah in cash and sat on the patio and vibed. I see my mom running to her car and thought she left her card because she does often. An old, light skin man with the word AGENT on his vest aggressively chased after her as she went to her car. He alleged that he had been told, she has a tab. We had JUST arrived and she ordered a drink that she hadnt received and that hadnt even been made yet, but he was chasing her down like a criminal. The owner stated that thats protocol because people run out on tabs, little and big, all the time which is ridiculous. Someone should have told the aggressive security man that the drink hadnt even been made. He never apologized and the men showed no remorse. I would suggest finding another place if this is how a black business will treat its own people and main source of revenue.

Had to leave another review because whoever responds to the reviews really needs a self check. You shouldn’t get offended when someone gives your establishment criticism especially if it’s true. You do not provide nor are you an upscale establishment so you should not falsely advertise. Secondly I paid for my drink and gave the waitress a tip that was more than the drink and I paid in cash. I wish I could’ve walked out without paying cause the cheap wine that I didn’t ask for was not worth $10. Yes the establishment has been in business for years but the quality of the establishment and what it stands for has gone down hill. Whether it’s 2 minutes or 2 seconds the owners wife was still nasty to me when I asked the question. You really should be careful how you treat people. You never know who’s who. I’m not writing this with ill intentions. It’s because want to see you do better. You have yourself a great week.

I haven’t been here in about 2 years. I decided to go to the comedy night Tuesday and I had a great time. The male and female host were really funny and the comedians were funny. It was $2 tacos, sliders, & drinks. All were delicious and I had a great time and we return.

The witness Brandee was great. She made sure we were good and had great customer service. The food is really especially the lamb chop, grits, and eggs. If you are looking for a great vibe, food, and great customer service, this the right place to go.

BEWARE: Came from out of town for my birthday. Purchased a section for $250. Had a great time dancing and returned to our vehicle and multiple other vehicles being broken into. We really enjoyed ourselves, but this ruined the night. Backstages parking lot was full so we had to park across the street. Park there at your own risk. For that reason I will not return.

We went to $2 Tuesday order 2 tacos , 10pc wings and fries and 2 cups of wine ask for the ticket and I was very surprised .I was given the first receipt wasn’t buying it wI wanted to see what I was paying for . She goes and come back with the 2nd receipt the exact same. Who’s fooling who????Never again….

I was at this great place on July 6 2024 on their anniversary when I tell you I had a blast me and my friends was well served Great atmosphere always a good time security was on point this place has the best food the dancing the music everything was amazing. I look forward to visiting again soon one of my favorite spots for my birthday events. Thanks to the managers and his staff for the super services. Me and my friend were visiting from out of town and decided to come to backstage on a Thursday. We had such a great time. Big shout out to our bartender Misha! She was definitely a whole vibe! The drinks were amazing. She was super sweet and the environment was definitely worth a comeback. If you’re in the area, make sure you visit backstage and tip Misha triple!

I loooove this club! Its one of my favorite Grown & Sexy spots in the ATL. Ive been coming here for years and always have the time of my life when I go or bring my friends who are visiting from out of town! It never disappoints! This Black owned club has the secret sauce and knows how to run a great business, and thats why I will be a customer for life! The management is very professional, friendly, and accommodating. The staff are amazing, fun, and friendly. The food and drinks are delicious and on point...and the DJ is off the chain. When I find a DJ that knows how to keep people on the dance floor playing and mixing great music....Im sold!!! Special shout out to Vanessa, who recently accommodated me and my out of town guests with a reserved table at the last minute. We made beautiful memories this weekend, and your club was the highlight! Keep doing what you do, and I will continue supporting you! KUDOS to you and the entire Backstage team! ❤️

Second time coming here and just like the first time, it did not disappoint. Seriously I should have come here first but instead I went somewhere in downtown that lacked in service, food and music. It is not a super fancy place but it is such a great place. Great service (thanks Asia), great music, fantastic drinks and good food…oh and great hookah! Love listening to the artists play their instruments or sing. Everyone is just so friendly. I will definitely be back when I am in town!

Celebrated my pre birthday with my sisters and it was nothing but pure genuine fun. The food, service our waitress Gator was very attentive and a made sure we were good. We definitely be back

We enjoyed the DJ. The wings and salad was good(togo). My drink was tasty. My overall experience was fine. Once I return it would definitely be through reserved seating because ladies dont want to stand for several hours to have a good time.

People usually give the southside a bad rep, but this spot is top tier!! It’s free parking and always free entry before 9pm. The venue provides better than adequate security inside and out. The food is always a treat, well-prepared and well-presented, with exceptional taste!! The staff is friendly, and eager to help you enjoy a great outing. Most especially the bartenders!! Specifically, Tara and Jessica are such knowledgeable professionals, who exhibit grace under pressure and a desire to treat each customer like a star! Fully recommended for any event! I always had a great time at this place. A nice vibe and the service was excellent. Everyone there was so nice and greeted you with a smile. Never had a bad time. Even going to my vehicle there is always security in the parking lot making sure I make it to my car. Great place and atmosphere

This place is pretty fantastic. Flew to Atlanta on a business trip and got to my hotel after my meetings and tried to figure out what to do with myself. Facebook showed me these guys were doing a comedy night. Honestly i was a bit nervous about going to a place not knowing what to expect and i have absolutely enjoyed myself. The food was great and the DJ really has some good music running. Blew away all of my expectations and if im ever in the Area i will definitely make a point to return. Oh and my server Tapanga was seriously awesome and took great care of me

I came here because I wanted a chill atmosphere. Which I did not get!!! Let’s start at the door. Tyrone & The Stud who was with him were very rude & touchy feely. I asked for my food to be well done.. which the waiter went back and got it correct for me but it wasn’t all that. I was expecting good vibes, good food, good atmosphere and it was my 1st time there. Several cars had got broken into. It was really a mess. I pass this establishment everyday and will continue to pass it.

This place has been a staple in the community for a long time but to go on a Tuesday is epic! $2 Tuesday and comedy! The food is always great and the atmosphere is amazing!

Ive been to the club before but not for brunch. The food was excellent! Great presentation and great flavor.

I live in Florida every time I come to Atlanta I must must go to backstage. The vibe in that place is off the hook. The service is fantastic. The music is on point for every age group well above 35. I guess Ive never been there had a problem wonderful place and look forward to the next time I come to Atlanta

Nice atmosphere, entirely to 🔥 on the inside.... Food great... Service by the server I had not good.. Probably wont have a birthday party there again due to the customer service.. Nice place, good food, but poor service after the money that was spent for a bday party.....

This use to be a great spot but weve gone just to have leave due to lack of parking. Most is roped off for vip parking which is costly. Paying that and not even being able to sit down cause every table is reserved. No table you cant order food or hookahs its just become hard to enjoy it here anymore and I was loyal here for years sadly

I came for my Grandmothers birthday and we had an amazing time! Our server Saniahs service was impeccable, constantly checking on us and ensuring that we not only enjoyed our food but had a great time. I would highly recommend!

Upscale ain’t nothing upscale about this hole in the wall hood place. Bathroom no tissue, cheap liquor, food ain’t never cooked to standards, wings and fries always too salty, catfish soggy ain’t never fried good. If you want to go to this place suggest you eat before you come. Bartenders will lie tell you the card reader isn’t working so you can get cash then they’ll try to steal your change if you’re not paying attention. They switch the liquors still charge for top shelf when in fact it’s some cheap stuff that almost kills you. Charging people to park on a lot that isnt owned by the lounge is ridiculous. Bartenders are always rude nasty to women especially classy women….they’re very intimidated by women. It’s never hello with a smile always frowning with attitude……They have a few new young ladies that are too professional to be in that type of environment. Very tasteless when it comes customer service, then on top of that it has turn into a young gay club which it was never that this place needs to to be revised because it’s trash! Used to be decent place for fun but they have definitely changed the scenery but it has never been a upscale establishment. It’s not worth your hard earned money go find somewhere nicer to party……Backstage definitely ain’t it

I came on town from Baltimore to celebrate my sisters birthday 02/11/2023. I believe our servers name was Tay? She was AMAZING! ..The atmosphere was awsome it was a whole Vibe that night!! Thank for making us feel at home. Now I know why my brother Leslie raves about you all!

Worst ever experience in this place 6/2/24. Ordered food and it took 45 minutes to get and it was cold! Worst waitress ever! Been coming to Backstage for years! Tried to talk to the manager’s son. Rude as HELL! Backstage is not the same as in the past! The service is horrible and money hungry! Be a minute before I come back here! Your customer the reason u open!

We had a time Im coming back . The menu had so much variety. The dj played hit after hit .Topenga was our server and she made the night one to Re member. She can get my service any day . Highly recommend .

I am new here in Georgia and decided to get out and spend a night on the town. I saw backstage Atlanta on the meet up app and decided to give it a go. Parking was easy as they have a big parking lot. I walked in and was greeted by Confidence, the security guard who was so nice and welcoming. I was then seated by Miss Black. She was prompt to take my order and made sure to answer all my questions about the food. She also took her time to welcome me and let me know all about the events that go on here during the week and weekends. Thank you for being so kind and always checking on me Miss Black.The food is so good! I ordered the fried catfish, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The catfish was perfect.Because I came here on a Wednesday it was step class and then later a band and singers come on. The music and band are amazing and everyone is so nice and welcoming. Thank you backstage Atlanta for making this Cali girl feel welcomed in Georgia 😊

I celebrated my 51st birthday and has a blast! The VIP 2 was spacious for my 25 guests, the food was served hot and tasty, the music was wonderful and included 70’s to the 2000’s music. The service was second to none as Brandee, host & waitress, was spectacular! She was attentive to my guests and was warm, pleasant, and accommodating. We enjoyed the entire night! I can’t give them any of my money anymore. Backstage used to be one of my go to spots but last time was the last time. Booked a VIP section and didn’t get my bottles until 11:35! Didn’t get my food until 12:30am. My jawn started at 9pm! That’s absurd and ridiculous with the amount of money you pay for a section. Then to top it off, there was an altercation between a patron and security. AND IT WAS THE FEMALE SECURIRY OFFICER WHO CAUSED IT AND ESCALATED IT! Why did they come from off the floor up into my VIP section making my guests spill drinks and making people feel uncomfortable and unsafe. At that point the vibe was fine and my remaining guests were like good bye! Not even an apology was given. This was a spot that I frequented and enjoyed but I dont know. It’s changed drastically. Even the DJ sucked! Who plays slow songs at 10pm!! Anyway…I hope they step their game back up to where it used to be

Wow wow wow where do we start with backstage and the shriener’s are infamous at backstage atl. This is our home . We came on our usual Sunday but unlike most Sundays we didn’t inform the staff we were coming . We arrived and there was tiny server with a big personality . She handled all 54 of us . Miss Pam held the bar down & between those two any business will thrive . They kept us smiling laughing & feeling good. Backstage will continue to be our home . The catfish plattter with backstage sauce & wing platter are a must . Those new margaritas they had was tasty & worth the wait,we tried mango . Thank you guys . Sundays are our place .

Ive been here a few times, but I ky because Ive been invited for an event. There is always something. Tonight is too much, they obviously over sold and didnt prepare! No parking. I ordered my food at 8pm, received half of it at 10pm. Never got my drink, went to the bar for that, that took forever too. I ended up cancelling the rest of my order. The problem is, we all pre-purchased tickets, there is no way they should have been unprepared, which is the excuse. You know exactly how many ppl are coming. There were not enough servers, food taking almost 2hrs. Daiquiri machine is broken.... Too much!!!

Where do we start backstage thank you for a night to remember we came in from Memphis . Topang was our server and she was a pleasure . She welcomed us with so much love . She will see us again . The honey lemon pepper wings were awesome . The bang bang shrimp is great . She recommend a drink that kept us going all night .Dj AR is the best . If we didn’t have an hour drive we wouldn’t be leaving .

We live in Alabama and toepanga was our server my sister was celebrating her soberity and the level of empathy she showed is hard to find in customer service these days , the food was good Nd for $2 we ate so many amazing tacos and danced the night aware . The comedians were the true superstars .

As a newbie to Atlanta, I’ve always been searching for a spot with dope vibes and no violence. I found that in Backstage. It’s a family owned and operated, in which they make you feel apart of their family. The food is great, the bartenders (esp Jessica) makes THEE best Strawberry Henny Margarita, and Ivory greets us everytime with a smile. If you’re in the area, stop in and try it for yourself! I’m sure you will NOT be disappointed!

But the overall experience its worth going and they get busy so reserve a table.Free table reservation on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Yall.....I go here on Wednesday nights and i am NEVER disappointed. The service and the entertainment are always a vibe. The host Darnell keeps us involved and the food be bussin too. You can go anytime but my night is Wednesday. So come but you cant have my seat. lol

Ladies night with DJ AR was a success .Our server Tepanga made the night feel like a high class reunion . We laugh drank and danced all night . Those marigaritas will have us back each summer , and the through the fire meal can get all my money . Hookah was great we mixed ours with mint as suggested . Thank you backstage for the amazing service and experience.

A complete hole in the wall. I came out with a group of ladies and we will never come back. We waited for 45 minutes before someone came to our table. They gave my friend a cheesy small bottle of wine from a six pack, and a plastic cup. This was a waisted night. To top it off the owner has a very nasty attitude. If she knew who my friend is she would’ve treated her a lot nicer. Be careful how you treat people you never know who’s who.

We came from. Palm beach Florida to backstage Atlanta because we searched Dom TikTok lack owned businesses and wanted to support. We got a room near the establishment and arrived but our reservation wasnt in the system. We were welcomed in by Topanga would told us not to panic and reassured us that our night would be amazing so give her a mom. She came back and made sure we met the owner and we were treated with so much love .Bottle service was affordable and flawless . The attention given and musuc made the night unforgettable.Everything was great we will be back . Thank you backstage

Enjoyed my visit to Backstage Atlanta on this past Sunday. I had the Catfish nuggets. They were delicious, light and flaky. The Backstage sauce is a plus with them, but not needed. 5 Stars

Well well well where do I start . Backstage Atlanta was the destination for my mother Kim’s 58th birthday party . We had two servers topangae & Brandi . They can have all our service & money . My mother will never forget this night . They weren’t lying when they said backstage is like coming to one big family reunion. They treated us like family visiting or the summer . I had guest from Texas & Ohio and they can’t get over backstage or the catfish nuggets . Thank you again .

Our waitress sucked. The music and atmosphere was nice. My hookah was wrong and I had to ask a few different people. My order was wrong and was charged extra for a appetizer. I wont be back

From the time you walk in BackStage the atmosphere is inviting. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is superb. Pics are worth a 1000 words but the experience of partying here is worth 1,000,000 stories to tell. To top it off the food is amazing & the DJ won’t disappoint. I ended up going for brunch. My experience was beautiful. The food was great especially the grits. They have an option for bottomless mimosas. Get it! The Dj was on point. Definitely more of mature crowd if you catch my drift. The food took a while to come out. Definitely recommend and will be back. Oh.. $5 cover fee

Me and my sister were visiting Atl and were told to visit this spot. We went on Thursday 3/28 and had a server named Brandi, she was by far the best server I have ever had. Good customer service, very attentive, very pretty, food and drinks were amazing. I got the bang bang shrimp and it was amazing. My sister got the sweet tai chilli wings. Good food, good drinks GREAT SERVICE. If youre visiting ask for Brandi and she will definitely take care of you. We will be back

Let me tell you something... A time was had when I reserved a few tables for my family coming in town for the Christmas holidays. It was about 15 family members with ages from 40-75. And this was the perfect blend. It was also my daddys bday and they made that special .Our waitress Barbee, was so professional and attentive. Make sure you ask for her. It was so packed in there but she still made us feel like a priority. The food was great, drinks kept flowing, and the vibe was infectious. EVERYBODY is still talking about the great time we had. I will definitely go back!

Backstage atl was the reunion spot for me and my old coworkers we havent connected since before the pandemic,this night was so special to us all and Tapangaa made it so special she paid attentionto ever detail making us feel so loved . The Dj was top notch and the food was so good . Those salmon nuggets and sauce are on my list always . I need some more .

I came to my cousin party from our old town and stumbled on Misha on the patio and she is the BOMB! Yall have to go see her! The most pleasant!

I went to this establishment to celebrate a birthday with friends, and came out to find the rental car I had and about 15 other cars had the windows busted out. This is directly across the street from the lounge and in clear view of the police standing in the parking lot. Backstage doesnt own the parking lot across the street but it is clear they welcome the customers because their lot is much too small to accommodate their customers. For all the police officers standing in the parking lot, it seems unreasonable to think they dont see all the break-ins. This probably should be more of an indictment of the city, but I lived on Godby Rd. a few years back and my home was broken into twice in less than six months. I went back to a tennis court down the street, and my truck was broken into, then I just went to this establishment and my car was broken into. Put simply, it is probably a good idea to avoid the area if you just want a hassle free evening.

It aint what it use to be thats for sure.. plenty of servers on Saturday but no one wanted to get drinks just a stupid hookah.. I came to get lit,but left to get lit at home.

Seating was tight. Waitresses were not welcoming. Also, upcharges were ridiculous. For a small cup of ranch was 1.50$ apparently, it doesnt come with a 6 pc wings. Then tried to give us water from the sink. Overall, the company was great!

Unfortunately my experience this time wasnt pleasant. Ate there Sunday 4/28/24, 2pm. I was part of a large group gathering from Chicago.Few hours later same day when I arrived back in Chicago 10:30pm I began feeling nauseated, abdominal cramps, etc...Went to ER 4/29/24 and was admittedinto hospital. Its now Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and hopefully Ill be discharged to go home.I ate scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, bacon & toast.Backstage check your expiration date on food and hopefully not serving foods previously cooked from other days.Ive never had food poisoning in my life until I ate yall food.I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN

I had the pleasure of attending this beautiful spot Tuesday for tacos and let me tell you i love me a good place with cheap tacos. Saniah was my server and made my experience fun and her customer service was the what made the experience what it was. Other servers need to look at her as an example of how to make your customers love you from just conversation. This place is now my new favorite spot🥰.

I love the Hookah’s there, Phemmies s hookah’s are the best . She has a great group of young ladies who knows how to make the best hookah’s. She also has a very large amount of different flavors. So if you smoke hookahs make sure to get one at Backstage .

Ive been going there since 2010, Everything is great except for the waitress. Every time I go there i sit for 30 minutes before someone ask me if I need help. Even on valentines day, I had to ask for help. Lastly they didnt even bring out my desert.i has to ask for it numerous times.

The security guards are horrible . The woman security is definitely looking for a come up by stealing from patrons that enter the establishment. There is heavy weed smoke that reeks from the patio even with College Park Police Department present. Tyrone the security doesn’t verify ID and gives problems to the women that he is hitting on. Very corny. He also lets it be known he does cocaine.

My husband celebrated his 50th birthday kickback on 1/13/24. He absolutely enjoyed himself. The drinks small, but potent.The club was packed, which made the kitchen slow. The overall service we received was impeccable. We are regulars. But had to step back due to my battle with Breast Cancer. We will be returning for more specialty and good times. I give it two stars because its a nice party spot, but what good is it when you leave and find your car broken into just across the street. Why not have security watch those cars too. BackStage know their patrons use that parking lot as well. 8 cars were hit last night 3/17/24. And the cop in the parking lot next to it just said, they should have paid $20. But his lot was full. Im never going back.

Let me start off by saying that I am NOT your average club goer, because I don’t go to clubs (Too Many People, Mediocre Music, Etc.). That being said, I am SO IMPRESSED with this Club/Lounge/Restaurant. The food was A1, the DJ (DJ Popo) was Amazing, the management and staff were so tentative and respectful, and the vibe was Awesome. This place has definitely changed my perspective of how clubs are, and I will DEFINITELY be back. Especially if DJ Popo is there!! 🔥🔥🔥

Went there 2/3/17: Had a blast! A real Ol School, Grown & Sexy nightclub. They have friendly wait staff and bartenders. The food was pretty great and I saw alot of ppl ordering varieties of food, from crablegs to wings. I loved the lemon pepper wings, although they were small. The music was ol school, lots of R&B for the steppers, hip hop and top hot tracks too. Id definitely return here. Its off the beaten path which I love!

Cool spot for an older person that loves old school music 🎶 but if u are not a familiar face with the ladys at the bar, the bartenders will ignore u. I sat at the bar for 20 minutes before I had to practically yell at the lady to take my order.

My waitress “black” is just wrong!!! I said no sugar on my rim 3 times my drink came and there was sugar 😩😒.I ordered catfish nuggets and fries. So Im suppose to stand and eat my food!! I could understand if the establishment was full to capacity and I got here late. Once again its NOT full but reserved. Lost a customer for life. Then rude customer service in addition. Not only are there NO seats everywhere we stand here comes security saying you cant stand here. I mean REALLY. My money will go where its appreciated and valued. Only will you experience at black establishments. Just sickening!!!

I arrived at 7pm for the Shirley Jones Anniversary. I paid $50 for tickets. I waited for the waitress to just ask me if I wanted a drink. 1 hour and 30 min nothing...I had to find her. They wanted 10for Gallo Moscotto Wine 🤣 at least they didnt have Sutters Home. The waitress was nice but damn. The doors opened at 6pm and everyone sat from 6pm until 8:45 before the opening act. This is an old crowd who hanging ng out on a Sunday until 1 in the morning frfr...They said she will not be coming on until around 10pm. Ms. Jones you are performing in a Club not State Farm. If you dont get your A$$ out here so we can go home😭😭😭. I am very disappointed but it is funny because Ishould have known better! So I am taking the L 🙄. Do better Ms. Jones!

The club is a nice vibe with an older crowd who believes in letting their hair down. I didnt get food this time. The service was prompt. The only downside was that we returned to our vehicle with a broken window along with other patrons. So, make sure you park on their property or the lot closest to the gas station.

I arrived around 9pm. It wasnt crowded, yet. However, I do not believe the air conditioner was functioning properly! I was hot like a Baptist preacher, on revival night. I had a drink, later. I thought I was going to burn to a crisp! We had an awesome waitress. She was very attentive. The wings were delicious. They have tvs around the lounge. So, I was able to watch The NBA playoffs. The music selection, in my opinion, was a little bit stiff! The age range this night (4/16/22) was between 32-60 yrs of age, but mainly middle-aged adults. So, it couldve been a little more lit with a variety of musical genre.

Great ole school spot for grown folks DJ was good. There is LOTS of security which I like. My waitress could have been more attentive but other than that Ill definitely be back.

I want to be completely clear! The experience here was phenomenal! I had the best time that I’ve had in a long time! Now I gave them a 5 star which it could have been 3 with an experience I had towards the end of the night. The reason that changed is because once I brought it to the owners attention that there was an issue he was on it! I was amazed and impressed that he took as much time as he did to diffuse my anger and displeasure. Security as well as my server was also very gracious and concerned about my grievances. My concerns could have been ignored but when I saw how important it was for the owner to make sure I was good I was immediately humbled. So! I want to say overall this is a great place to come and live your best life especially if you like old school music and dancing! If you don’t try anything else on that menu please try the salmon quesadilla! Delicious! The drinks were on point as well!

Backstage happens to be one of the best lounges/bars to visit on the Southside of Atlanta!!! They never disappoint. Ive been attending Backstage for 10 years now and I always recommend going here to people who are coming in from out of town. Good music, good vibes, good food and service. I love the mix of the old and the new. Backstage specializes in accommodating the older crowd with good Music! I love it!! My sister came up to celebrate her birthday at VVS however it didnt give what we needed so we headed right on over to Backstage and got our fix! Pam is my absolute favorite!!!

The bouncer at the end of the evening was the most unprofessional employee at the establishment. His “Get out of here” as if we were children was absolutely uncalled for and is the reason we struggle to keep our own people from patronizing African American establishments!!! Him coming out onto the floor and going into a rant of, “Get out of here, we are closed!!” was absolutely horrible customer service!!! While I later found out the place closed at 5 PM the DJ was still playing and doing Karaoke at 5:15 and the patrons had no clue that the place closed at 5 PM. All the bouncer had to do was to tell the DJ to stop doing Karaoke, get on the mic and tell the folks we are closed and ask everyone to please make yourselves to leave and Thank you for coming… Simple - Not screaming at the patrons like we were children and had not just spent our hard earned dollars at your establishment.Your bouncer will keep a lot of folks from ever returning to this place again….

Great place to eat, dance, party, and just have a good time with grown folks. I love the Wednesday night Jam session with the Soulful Distance band. The host Darnell and DJ are great too.

Went for the Burlesque show which was decent. The food could have been better, I had salmon & grits...the grits were lumpy & my friend ordered mashed potatoes but got a baked potato & no butter. The waitress started out great but slacked off, my friend waited for 20 mins for butter. Other than that its a cool place to go. High 5 to the Burlesque dancers!!

Backstage Atlanta will not disappoint you on any level. The food is EXCELLENT! The service is EXCELLENT! The music, be it a live band or DJ is EXCELLENT! The atmosphere and environment are EXCELLENT and SAFE !I appreciate they recognize there is a need for a mature adult setting! Give it a try if you’re in town or out and about.

I was really impressed by the quality of the food, it was delicious and the server was very polite.I was with a group and the salmon, the wings, the crab and the Philly cheesteak sandwich were all excellent. I will be coming back any time Im in Atlanta.

Backstage was fun just not enough seats and service was not good it took us 2 hours to get some food. My crabs was so small I couldnt break them but the fish was very good.

The crab legs were good and plentville for the price of 6.99. We had nice time on a Thursday night. We will do this again....my cousins enjoyed the drinks.

I absolutely love Backstage. From the food to the drinks. 10/10 I love the bartenders and I actually get to dance and enjoy the people. Wednesday night is my favorite night because of the live band. Sunday Brunch is my second favorite.

Thursday night is lit with karaoke and dancing after, had crab legs. 😋
